Tasty food, great service and most definitely a bang for the buck. More restaurants should take this place as an example and not overcharge for a meal.
I haven't been to a restaurant with this kind of interior design that gives an antique feel and I quite enjoyed it. The service was efficient and friendly but as we entered the restaurants, we saw some workers chewing on their nails which didn't seem too sanitary. The waitress that served us for the night though was pretty friendly which was nice. The food itself was quite tasty. Their ribs and their chicken are definitely a lot better than a lot of other restaurants, especially the chains. The meat is juicy and tender which contrasts the crispy skin very well. The fries have a similar texture which is crispy on the exterior and soft on the interior. The food was quite good. Their sauces were also flavourful which complemented the food so well in my opinion. For around 18$ a meal, we had a soup, a salad and a main course which was quite a lot. Even the main plate had a massive portion of food. It's definitely a generous amount for the price they are charging and I am happy to see some restaurants that are still serving so much food for such a reasonable price.
Best place for ribs and rotisserie chicken. It's worth the trip to the South Shore. Limited straight forward menu. Amazing fries! This place has been around forever and the decor shows it, but I don't go there to look at the walls.
Very good restaurant quite simply. Large portions of tender chicken or racks of barbecued ribs for a good price. The service is friendly and the athmosphere is very homey and almost rural for its suburban location. A classic in the area and one of the restaurant that does quebecois BBQ chicken best.
Stopped by some lunch on our way to Quebec city and it was amazing! Seemed quite busy at the time but we were given a table fairly quickly. Friendly service, our waitress accommodated our needs by communicating in English with us. We ordered poutines and they were quite delicious, and generous portions as well, we had to get a to-go box, which was great. Overall an awesome experience, and will be coming back when we return to the area.

Amazing service! This is an authentic Quebec diner. You don’t need to be a special person or be a regular to get good service. Don’t go here if you want a white glove and white table clothe dinner. Go here if you want a tasty poutine with lots of curds!

On December 16, 2024 we went to dinner for the first time at your restaurant after having heard good things about it many times. The welcome was very kind, at least three waitresses welcomed us! with a broad smile and contagious good humor we were assigned a place and our waitress was impeccable, friendly and smiling we ordered, a soup, a thigh and ribs combo and a hot chicken everything was delicious from the juicy chicken to the tender ribs and seasoned well with fresh fries, my hot chicken was just as delicious accompanied by peas. We finished our meal with a slice of coconut tart which was fresh and very tasty; it reminded me of my late Moms. If I had just one sad remark to make it was when this festive month of December was missing this joyful decoration of the holiday season not even a garland or a mini tree it was the only sad thing during this holiday season otherwise I give a rating of 10\10 we will definitely come back, your reputation was up to par. It is an old restaurant that has endured over the years thanks to its excellent service and cuisine. Although the menu was simple, the dishes were flavorful and perfectly executed.
A slightly retro restaurant which has nothing of the market gardens about it but very popular. Super fast service. On the menu: chicken of all varieties.

A reference to La Prairie and a South Shore institution. Chicken over charcoal and ribs on the grill. Everything is delicious and comforting. Menu with soup and liqueur included or plate only. Prices are affordable. Fast and courteous service.

A cafeteria restaurant, forget the decoration, they put their budget into their A1 food...27$ soup, coleslaw, half rib, thigh, potatoes...the half rib is double that at St Hubert, Benny etc it s $30 at McDonald s, and I m still hungry.
By far the best ribs and chicken on the entire South Shore! See Quebec! The price is more than fair and the service is as impeccable as it is warm!

Vous devez gouter à ce poulet sur charbon de bois, il est merveilleux ! Soit pour apporter ou à la salle a manger. On ne peux pas réserver ou appeler pour placer une commande mais lattente est pas si longue et ça vaut la peine. Combo poulet et côtes levées est un super choix. Sauce a volonté pour les côtes levées a la table. Bonne fritted maison, il faut lessayer pour comprendre.

Nous avons commandé un poulet familiale et une poitrine supplémentaire en takeout ce soir. Arrivé à la maison 5 minutes plus tard, le poulet est très sec et fibreux et les frites ont une drôle de texture en bouche, elles semblent réchauffées. Jai même une frite calciné dans mon assiette. Déçue de mon souper et davoir gaspillé mon $$.

Possibly the best chicken on the south shore of Montreal. Fast and courteous service at a reasonable price. Ideal when eating on site. Hybrid atmosphere between family dinner and sugar shack. Try the club sandwich. The soup (included with meals) warms the heart and recalls grandmas recipe. For a long time, La Prairie has been known for its good restaurants, and the Maraîchers chicken has something to do with it.

I almost went to the opening around 11:30 a.m. I took the leg and rib plate. Everything was well cooked, fall off the bone. The chicken was perfect. The sauce on the ribs was good but not to my taste. The fries passable.

Quality is not what it use to be. My fries didnt taste like before and the ribs were burnt and overcooked. This was my favorite restaurant in the past. Dont know what happened, but food isnt the same anymore

I have to admit, I have a great feeling of nostalgia with this place. Ive been going there since I was little. All the same, it had been years since I had set foot there. Except for a few minor changes, nothing has changed. The soup is hot and delicious. The chicken and ribs are tasty. I had the chicken breast and it was not dry. In short, I am very satisfied with my visit. If I had one negative point to mention, and its not really negative, it would be the service. Fast and efficient, but almost too much.
