Amazing food, impeccable service, way better than at Boucherville. Can be a bit noisy when at capacity, but service is still speedy. Get a reservation during peak hours, ideally 24h and more in advance because they ARE packed, they are THAT good.

Service and atmosphere were nice but the food was not up to par. I got the cajun cod which was flavorless, served with white unseasoned rice and sautéed vegetables that were cut too thick and equally flavorless. My husband got the mussles and fries. The mussles were improperly washed (full of sand) and the blue cheese sauce was lacking flavor too.

Great and huge serving of moules - in a delicious curry, cocoanut, coriander broth. Dinner mate had one of the best fish and chips ever - light, very crispy batter, fish super fresh.

Bad service

This was our first time dining here. We wanted fish and chips but not at the regular restaurant we go to. I went on google and typed in Fish and Chips and this restaurant popped up. We decided to go. We entered the establishment right away we found the atmosphere very enjoyable. We sat at the bar and ordered our meals. When we were served, we were astonished of the portion, usually one would get a couple of small pieces of fish, we were served the whole fish. It was most delicious, a definite comeback for sure. Service was just fantastic.

Are you a fan of seafood? This restaurant is for you. Lobster bisque with large pieces of the crustacean in question, very tasty cod tacos and my friend had lobster and mussels pasta. We shared and it was a delight. Excellent food and courteous service. I loved my experience!

Our visit to Shack du Pêcheur in La Prairie (1 hour drive from Sherbrooke) was incredible! The atmosphere of the shack is authentic and warm. We received excellent service from Leanne, and our plates were delicious! We were a group of 8 and ordered various dishes including the chowder, fried calamari, lobster poutine, mussels, oysters, fish and chips, as well as the cold platter. Each dish was tasty and well prepared. We absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Great disappointment, dismal, worst restaurant to date. Spaghetti with liquid sauce looked like Lipton soup, with 3 shrimp, 3 mussels, 3 clams, it tasted like nothing at all, the squid was so hard and there was more fried than squid. What can we say about the mussels with the same broth that the pasta contained, in addition there were 12 unopened mussels so, the waitress took them back to the kitchen and, she brought me around a dozen and, sua there Had 7 to close again. The best was the bloody ceaser c everything, and when the bill arrived the waitress said we wont charge the mussels. Really disappointed, never again. Plus 0 accessibility for wheelchairs.

Had visitors from Quebec city on saturday seeing that have not been to this restaurant we decided to try it. Two of us had two full lobsters and the other couple had a seafood plate with rice. The food came for the lobster we found it like rubber and for the seafood plate the rice was burned to the plate that it came in. It also smelled badly burnt. The waiter was advised but the plate was not changed for a new one and for the price it should of been and you just do not serve burnt food to a customer period. The calamari was very small and over breaded. For the waiter he gave excellent service but for a $60 sea food plate it should have not been charged due to the fact it was burnt to the plate it came on will not be returning.

I had it delivered. The fish and chips were excellent, however I changed my fries for a garden salad which cost me $3 more. Very disappointed. I had like 3 sprigs of salad and 3 pieces of cucumber.

The Shack has been a favorite place of ours to eat delicious fresh fish for many years. Unfortunately, today the food was not at the high level of quality we have been accustomed to. The calamari were definitely below the quality and taste expected, they were thickly covered in a lot of batter, were dark and rubbery. The French fries were soft, we had to return and ask for another order. It feels like the oil may need to be changed for both. The cod in the fish and chips was watery and bland. Not at all our memory of the quality weve had in the past. We chose to go in the afternoon after rush hour to celebrate a birthday so there is no excuse that the kitchen was too busy. The price would be good, if the quality of the food was up to par to what we have known. The ingredients may be of good quality but the love we felt in the food is missing. The service from Sandy, our waitress, was excellent.

What a scam!! They should change the name and call it the crab basket. Bite and sip would be another appropriate name... The quantities are ridiculous. My friend ordered a lobster poutine. The fries are tiny and the quantity of cheese is 3 times less than elsewhere. Fries and cheese are worth no more than $8. The owner tells me (lower) that such poutine is worth $15. La rotisserie de lAs and Benny offer larger poutines with 3 times more cheese for $12 plus tax (7-inch format) So their quantity of fries and cheese CANNOT be worth $12. Its not worth more than $8. The problem is that they charge $32. Sorry, but the Lobster FRAGMENTS (Im weighing my words) do not justify the $24 difference. I will happily pay $32 for a buffet. Not for a few fries, a little cheese and lobster crumbs. To avoid.

First experience with the dishes of this restaurant. The exterior reminds me of restaurants from the 70s and 80s with its configuration, the interior has a unique character, still narrow but warm. On this occasion I ordered takeout but would have liked the dine-in experience. I had the fish & chips and black shrimp. Good portion and delicious. Its all a great experience to repeat!

We discovered this little restaurant on the outskirts of Montreal through word of mouth, and we were not disappointed! The lobster poutine was very good, as well as the salmon tartare Mention to the waitress who took care of us that evening (Saturday June 10), she was adorable and very funny! Remember to book in advance if you plan to go on the weekend

Food and service were more than excellent but the hostess give you 2hours to eat and get out when you arrive. We were 4 and we spend a little over 500$. Can we at least finish our glass of wine? Time to eat is to short and pressure to get out is a little to much. This is enough to make a good meal go bad.

Saturday July 1, the host seated us at our table for 2, placed between the air conditioning and the computer area for order and invoice. the restaurant is really very nice, with a beautiful decoration, the seafood is fresh and delicious, the fish is juicy and cooked over a wood fire which gives it a very special flavor, accompanied by a salad with a light but delicious, I really liked it. On July 28, 2023 we went to eat at the Shack de La Prairie restaurant, the waitress in pecable good service,, we ordered an octopus starter for 21 dollars supposedly grilled according to the menu, the octopus was boiled, the fish and chips from London fish not well cooked only the breading was cooked,, the restaurant had a good reputation before , very disappointed with my first visit, the waitress asked me on the next visit to specify that the fish was not cooked if there would be a next visit Mr. the owner I notice your responses to the comments that 80% you are sorry,, in my opinion you are not a good manager who should repatriate dissatisfied customers for good reasons, with conversations with these customers who leave hundreds of dollars at your restaurant, with follow-up at the tables and a small compensation, the mouth to mouth bad experiences will be negative relevant to your restaurant

Living in La Prairie never tried it before but pleasantly surprised it was delicious, charming restaurant and impeccable service!!! I recommend it well done and thank you for the lovely welcome and atmosphere

One of our favorite restaurants for take-out! Generous portions and fair prices. The Poke Bowls are delicious, as are the tartars. Fingers crossed that paella comes back on the menu, because it hasnt been there since the fire. We LOVE IT! We have never eaten there in all the years (only take-out), but definitely something to do. Nice atmosphere and the staff are always friendly!

We found this place completely by accident. we just happened to be driving by on the way to the junkyard decided to stop in for a meal on the way home, we had the jerk fish and chips it was fantastic. the restaurant is really nice, the service was wonderful, the food was delicious. well definitely be heading back to sample more of the menu. it is a bit out of the way for us but well worth the trip.

Recommendation: Put a return on the bathroom door. (It is often left open) Sitting at the bar, not pleasant to have the scent of the bathroom Otherwise, we liked it and we will come back

I really liked the Fishermans Shack take-out before the pandemic, but its not been what it used to be for 2 years. I always get Classic Cod Fish n Chips and Fried Calamari and my last two experiences have been SO disappointing. Fried squid is overcooked so the batter doesnt cover it completely and its dried out and rubbery. One of the two Fish n Chips had soft, uncooked dough inside. It would be better to serve smaller fillets, but with more controlled cooking than a huge piece with poorly cooked breading. Unfortunately, I wont be getting my Fish N Chips there anymore. Ive never eaten there, maybe the experience is better. But, in my opinion, the quality of takeaway food should be the same.
