Tasty subs, fast service & kind staff. If you're looking for a good sub skip Subway and go to the roi du sous marin, better pricing for better subs! The steak sub is stacked with Steak & as a tasty as they come! The interior is small & their are often students during lunch hour (because of the high school across the street) I recommend going during other hours or calling ahead! The staff is always sure to prioritize the non students as well. Highly recommend for a delicious sub, burger or salad.

The smoked meat was as good as Schwartz, and the poutine was the best I had on my entire trip to Montreal. Cannot recommend enough
Fantastic place for halal poutine. The guy working the counter was super friendly and helped us order. The smoked meat poutine was very good and so was the burger. Highly recommended if you're visiting Montreal.
This place was fantastic! The poutine was amazing, large portion and served piping hot! The hot sub we had was filled with delicious smoked meats and also served piping hot. I highly recommend to anyone looking for poutine, sub style sandwiches, or good food served fast.
This was such a great place to eat! I came with my husband because we heard it was halal! ( Not 100% sure as it's not written anywhere) but we asked the worker and he told us that it was. I would suggest maybe having your halal certificate indicated somewhere in the store so that the muslim community can see it! The store itself is a bit crowded with all the banquettes making the store a little less comfortable. The only small detail that kind of bothered me was the washroom had a friendly spider friend on the ceiling (lol)
Update: Have been several more times, the smoked meat poutine is good. Good portion size, generous with the cheese and smoked meat. Can't complain Will definitely be coming back. Had the steak and pepperoni sub and it was delicious. Price seems fair for the serving size. The service was good, nice and courteous on the phone and in person for pickup.

Halal fast food Their poutine and submarines are delicious and light. I tried the steak/pepperoni and wow, delicious! The owner also offered us smoked meat to taste and it had nothing to envy of that of shwart, it was so good.

La qualitée nest pas au rendez-vous !! Les portions de poutines pour 12$.. un enfant de 4 ans le mange. Le hamburger steak sans la salade de choux et la viande sec sans goût. Un achat de plus de 60$..qui sera bel et bien le dernier. Vous utlisez les produits les plus cheap et charger très cher .. même pas du véritable fromage à poutine. Manque flagrant de saveur et dassaisonnement.

Subs are great. Fries are the frozen variety and not so great.
Everything was excellent. The club sandwich and delicious chicken. The submarine too. And what about the fries which are really not greasy and taste very good. Ideal for being topped with mayonnaise.

Ordered randomly from this place on uber eats, they forgot to send the drink, ordered le roi but could not see any steak in other meats portion also not as much as other places, Presentation was messy and bread was all wet when arrived. Ingredients such as lettuce and tomato were out of sandwich. Not tasty as well. Poor 1 time experience.

Un personnel des plus accueillant et professionnels... Par choix personnel je trouve malheureusement quil nont pas de très bonne patate frite cependant je vous assure que le reste de leur menus par contre est sans équivoque !! Juste si on parle de leur sous marin il son tellement délicieux et incomparable a tellement dautre endroit où il en font.

Best sub in a long time! I had never eaten a better sub than at Alfa in Longueuil but now, I no longer need to go to another city for an excellent sub. Very fast delivery service. Bravo 5 stars
The subs are delicious. We order regularly and the quality is always consistent. All of our employees have ordered at least once and everyone enjoyed it (even the pickiest ones). All that remains is to try something else on the menu..

They do not respect health rules, they do not wear masks. (I SAW the staff in the kitchen and NO ONE was wearing a mask. In addition, one of the cooks even came to get a soft drink at the front without a mask.) The service is really slow, 30 minutes of waiting for a poutine. (In fact, it was for two poutines, but the assigned cook only made one, he had to redo fries to make a second one, so twice as much time, I saw and heard it ( which explains why the little poutine in the photo has its cheese completely melted, since it has been sitting in its sauce for more than half an hour)) (there were 2 of us in the restaurant (who ordered within 1 minute difference and the other left 20 minutes before me) to wait.) (I would have at least appreciated a sorry for the wait) The poutine is cheap, but the big one isnt very big either. The cheese was not fresh, the fries were a little undercooked, just a little too mushy. The sauce was good. Notes between (...) are in response to the owner.

Edit October 29, 2021: Following my first review, I have recommended it at least 4 times since and it was truly excellent each time. The subs are really good! _______ Original comment: First time ordering from this restaurant (Uber Eat) and I loved it. I had a Pointellier submarine and a poutine, it was excellent. Finally a real submarine. Although Uber Eat makes delivery quite expensive with all their fees, (the order came to $33) I would recommend it from time to time when I have a big craving for a sub.

Ive tried it a few times and never disappointed. The staff is super friendly, whether its the owner or the cook. Always a kind welcome. Their subs are delicious. Very classic but very well done. The bread makes a nice difference. Generous in garnishes. It s certainly not haute cuisine, but that s not their pretension. But definitely the best sub in La Prairie.
