Nice food I would never eat from any other place again

I live near and love blizzards, however, the last 3 times Ive gone to order either caramel or peanut butter blizzards, only to get something full of fudge and not mixed properly. Not sure anyone here actually knows how to make a blizzard.

Typical if a dairy queen I find, service is a little slow, seems like a lot of confusion with orders right now, must be a new system. But make up for it with getting the food you expect, friendly and helpful staff.

We asked for a peanut buster parfait and wanted the chocolate that hardened instead of the fudge. Super simple request. The guy that gave us the parfait was asked twice if it was the chocolate that hardened, it was not. Told the guy that took our order it was wrong, he couldnt have cared less. This place has been steadily going downhill.

Major fail on whoever made this cake this centre layer is pathetic we ordered one from store on admirals and was amazing but the millstream location needs work !

All I got was a blizzard

Im starting to see why the location is so empty on a Saturday.. Our chicken strip baskets were luke warm at best, and while the fry portions were generous.. they were soggy and old - the chicken strips were nugget size and clearly spent the past few hours sitting in a warming drawer as well.. My choco-brownie extreme blizzard tasted predominantly of some sort of fruit, clearly remnants from the last blizzard made.. not the flavor I wanted nor ordered. The CHOCO BROWNIE EXTREME contained a total of FIVE little brownie bits. Just pathetically insulting. I wish nothing but the worst in life to these despicable and incompitent individuals. Do better or leave.

Dairy Queen has become unaffordable, $50 for blizzards for a family of four Absolutely crazy

DQ, Just not what it used to be. Prices are my primary issue, other fast food locations have same quality at a much lower cost.

I only ever buy ice cream here through the drive thru. Two out of three times my sundae order (the same every time I order a sundae) isnt correct. It doesnt stop me from coming back though. Maybe Id have better luck going inside, but I like the convenience of the drive thru.

I will never return to this location. First they forgot about my order and by the time I got my order, the people I came in with had finished their meals and ice cream. I politely asked the staff about my order and they said they forgot and made it. When I received my smartie blizzard, it had chocolate sauce in it which I wasn t aware of at the time I ordered I really do not like chocolate. I asked the girl at the counter if I could please have it re-made without chocolate sauce and explained that I didn t know it had it, and she told me no and was extremely rude about it. She told me I received the correct order and that she was too busy to re-make it for me. After arguing with her for several minutes, she re-made the blizzard but was very rude and told me that next time she will not re-make it for me. I felt very uncomfortable, unwelcome, and unappreciated here. The service I received was honestly atrocious.

Cold burgers and unmelted cheese every single time. Been giving them second chances for years but I m done. Not worth it. Will not be coming back. Even if you bring them the cold burger, they just nuke it and send it back. Dairy Queen died the day they got rid of the fire grills

Ordered a B-Day cake over the phone. I was asked if I wanted it personalized. I requested they put DAD in one of the stars. I picked up the cake before heading to the birthday celebration. They decorated the cake with Dad in one of the picture star on it. Disappointing....I had no choice but to accept it since we were heading to the party. I was contacted by the owner of this franchise. He apologized for how his team handled this mistake and also sent me a cheque refunding the purchase price. I have edited this review since I feel this issue has been resolved.

Love this location! Great food and service! BUT NOT TODAY very unpleased with the service. Brought in 7$ and the super snack deal is normally 5$ but they bumped it up to 7$??!? Crazy for just a small fry and a medium drink?! I asked if I could just give them the 7$ bc it was only 7.15 didn t want to go back to the car they said no you have to pay the full amount in a very rude way I was completely understanding and was going to pay but the rudeness of the employee was enough to get me out of the store and didn t realize it was that expensive! Wont be coming back for a long time. It s so sad thinking that the owners of this location are very nice people. It s hard to believe they would hire these kind of employees.

I use this drive through every week and a half or so; and today, the attendant was confused and incompetent. In spite of repeating my order to him three times at the intercom, and once at the window itself, he still got my order completely wrong. I ordered a regular hamburger, no cheese and extra onions and a large chocolate shake. Instead, I received a single bacon ranch burger and a strawberry shake. Need someone of competence taking orders.

Fantastic service

Food was ok. Service was ok and very slow. Burger had way too much sauce on it. It was super soggy. UPDATE JULY 2 2023- Decided to treat ourselves with some icecream so we ordered a couple of sundaes and a blizzard. One on the sundaes was not made after a long wait in line. I could see that lots of desserts were pre-made in a little cooler thing but our blizzard and one sundae sat on the counter. We waited forever at the window. In the states they turn the icecream upside down to show its not melted but they did not. It took 3 minutes to make a single strawberry sundae!! My sundaes and my husbands blizzard was already melting and ran all over when I took the cap off my sundae. I hope this review helps them do better.

This dairy queen is my personal favourite in Victoria! The staff are friendly, it goes fairly fast given that most things are made to order. Family friendly, some parking, not a lot but I typically go through drive thru! Very nice and will go again every time! Food

Went here twice this week with visitors. Sat inside the restaurant. It was very clean. Quick service and well made food and ice creams. Hands down the best DQ Ive seen on the island and in Vancouver.

Tuesday afternoon, immediately as I walked in the atmosphere was positive and great! The service was great and super kind, the cashier was respectful and very understanding of my autism. The food was very delightful, the fries were extra crispy and it was delicious. This place exceeded my expectations and I am very impressed

Dairy Queen was always known for 15 min wait time for as long as I can remember but this location is great. Drive through is insanely quick and employees are friendly. Every time I ve gone there was no line up. They are on it! The one problem is that my burger onion rings and small cone was $23. Extremely overpriced when I can go to a restaurant for less.

Ice cream is very sweet and portions are huge. What I don t like - there is always a persistent smell of old oil, as if French fries is being cooked there all day long. The smell is so strong that there s even no desire to stay there longer.

Tonight After stoping in at liquor planet to grab a Fat Tug, I arrived at 703 Treanor Ave Dairy Queen at 10:53 and was warming greeted by the front counter attendant Yang, my surroundings where beyond clean. Her and late night team allowed me to order anything of the menu as they where still open till 11 PM she stated, I order a double mushroom burger onion rings, gravy and a banana split, not to mention toppings that where not included on the burger including lettuce & bacon. I was out the door by 10:59PM. In my to go bay the hot and cold items where separated and had napkins and spoon neatly placed in the bag. every single bit of food had no grease and was prepared with care in a healthy portion. Thank you will defiantly be bringing cash next time insure you receive a tip for your excellent customer service and kitchen s staff culinary skill, something you do not receive from most dine in pubs or restaurants that are this near to closing time. Dairy Queen; you make make more than enough money to include a tip option on your point of sales system and have it distributed evenly among pay roll based on the hours recored from the POS system. Do better.

The customer service is excellent at this location. The only complaint I have is the 5 peanuts on my sundae when I paid for extra! It just doesnt hit the spot :( :( Im pretty sure I could go buy a bag of salty peanuts at the dollar store for $1.25 :(

Please mix yout blizzards more and read the fine print. This is the second time Ive ask for extra filling in my blizzard and its always half mixed and no extra. I live DQ please dont ruin it for us.

Today we visited and got home from a bad experience. The person who served us was a team leader his name was something like Saurbah. He did not know how to respectfully talk with customers nor his team members. He also wore a angry facial expression towards us, it seemed that he did not want to serve yet another customer.

Employees do not use the mobile app at all, don t bother placing your order that way, they ll just start your order when you come in and ask for it.

Best ice cream cakes

This has to be the best DQ in Victoria! Always great customer service both in the drive thru and in store. The staff are always so kind and happy which is so nice to see at a fast food place these days. Raj has done a great job with his staff by making sure customers are left happy and treated well! We really DQ for participating in a community coupon book fundraiser for some local schools and hockey teams in our area. Overall happy that the Millstream DQ is now in our area!

Ugh, this place honestly isnt good anymore. It was ok when it first opened, but now they take forever on your order and barely make it properly. Waiting 20 minutes to get a partially melting Blizzard is sad. It straight up just lost a spoonful or 2 of ice cream on to the floor today when they flipped it. Wouldnt really recommend, even if youre desperate for dessert treats

Burger was surprisingly good. Enjoyed the meal more than I was expecting. Still not my first choice for a quick bite though.

Update: New manager is not polite to customers and his staff. I had a coupon for a 2 for 1 and he rambled that it was a screen shot not and not official. I had to show him in detail that a e-mail was send to me from Dairy Queen and then gave me attitude about the deal. Seemed to me I was a inconvenience to him. I remained polite to him but he should have shown the same. I will re-consider visiting this location due to being treated poorly. This Dairy Queen is one of the best I have ever visited. The food is always hot and well prepared. The ice cream treats are always made perfect, blizzards loaded with your favourite flavor. All the staff are polite and hard working people. Shelley the manager is doing a great job running this location. I never go to other locations in Victoria as I am now a regular permanent customer here.

UPDATE: Have been here a bunch of times since moving to the island. The staff here are friendly and move as fast as possible. Our first time was the only slow time and that was due to plenty of skip the dishes drivers picking up orders. Since then this is our goto spot. Never ate the burgers back in Ontario but here the kids love them. Good to hit a place where they serve a meal and dessert and keep the kiddos happy and satisfied. Keep up the good work, we will be back

Brand New, clean location with a spacious lobby and and drive through. Service is always Extremely fast in comparison to every other location Ive gone to; ice cream is made with the proper proportions of candy-chocolates/cookies-sauce and blended TO THE BOTTOM. Food is always fresh and tasty. My favorite dairy Queen locally.

What is the point in having an App and not being able to use it? Every location should h...its just the owners being cheap and not wanting to give discounts. Brutal. I dont recommend this location

This is our local spot for ice cream goodness. The family often celebrates small events with a Blizzard night, courtesy of this DQ location. The staff is friendly, even when the location is crazy busy. Parking and drive-thru are often very busy. It s best to walk or cycle here.

Was good when they first opened. New staff has driven it down hill. They dont even answer their phone. You cant hear them when they speak at the drive thru. They rush you while digging out your cash at the drive thru, but then you wait 10 minutes for your meal. No care has been put into it anymore.

So we have tried this Dairy Queen 2 times now as we don t live in the area and both times had the same result. Sure, ice cream is SUPPOSED to be cold but when you pay nearly $30 for chicken strips and French fries, they should be HOT! Cold barely colour changed fries, chicken strips both regular and my buffalo strips were barely warmer than room temperature. We picked up, drove 2 blocks up the hill for a picnic and opened up our $30 worth of cold food. My wife didn t even finish hers because by the time she got to a 4 strip, wasn t even warm to the touch anymore. Every other DQ we get this combo from you have to tear them apart to let them cool AND the strip combo includes gravy. This location makes you pay for it extra. Quadra location and Sidney location both include gravy with combo. The drink had maybe 3 ice cubes in it and also not very cold. What a joke this location is. Never again and I will happily recommend the same to others.

Being asked to wait in the parking lot for a drink replacement, simply because the first one was flat is inexcusable. On top of that the order was wrong. This one is no longer on our goto list, there is a convenience store with pepperoni cheese sticks and chips next time.

Horrible service and horrible food,burger bun was in pieces,sauce smothered everywhere and they consumed to wrap it up,so it was wet znd soggy.the order guy clearly heard what I ordered but failed. I asked for a side chicken stripes and asked for honey mustard and got nothing and gave a meal. Ordered gravy and it was half full.I didnt ask for ketchup and they gave me 7 packages, why,what a damn waste

Id give 5 if theyd make my special Tiktok Blizzard with cold fudge and that cookie crumble from the bottom of the ice cream cakes. But alas, the person at the counter said they dont use the crumble as a Blizzard ingredient. Not sure I understand this policy considering its cheaper than the regular ingredients and they could charge me extra if they wanted. So, only the DQ on Sooke road makes it for me, and they go above and beyond -- which is really appreciated. I guess Ill have to go there instead. Youve gotta try it. SO YUMMY

Love this Dairy Queen. Finally have a DQ with a drive-through is super handy. They almost always seem super busy and yet they are usually pretty quick. Would highly recommend.

Terrible service! I was there last night to but 2 banana split at there drive thru. The line up was long. It took me almost 15 mins at the line up to get to the window. At window the lady charged me for my order and made me wait for another 3 mins! Then she comes out at window we are out of bananas! like seriously! After wasting nearly 20 mins of customer u realized u were out of bananas. Like why wouldnt they tell me when I just got at the window. It seems there is lack of communication between staff and they are very disorganized. I am truly disappointed coz they wasted so much of my time..

This is our favourite DQ in the Greater Victoria Area. Im extremely particular about my Blizzards, and they always make it perfectly at this location. I was exceptionally impressed today after being served by Dave, who was so patient and friendly and made my Blizzard exactly how I like it!

Bad drive thru service, sub par food

This dq is fairly lame do to fact they dont use all the app benefits, they dont have a scanner for a bunch of the best coupons. Basically all other dqs use a scanner? This is also the newest dq, strange how they dont use the newest features dq has to offer
