Ordered 3 things and all three times came back and said not available to order/not in stock. I was just about to eat nothing the 3rd time. Sea food pancakes are ridiculously expensive for frozen $5 H Mart/Kim Mart/A Mart pancakes serving as $18. The Kim bap beef was so tough it tasted as if it was cooked and dried and then Rehydrated and recooked again. But failed to rehydrate it. How does an authentic Korean not even have scissors?
Delicious short ribs, lovely kind staff in a very quaint establishment. Been here once but it was quite a while ago pre-pandemic so haven't had the chance to review until this visit with an acquaintance willing to pay the tab. A great place to introduce simple dishes to peers who have not experienced Korean cuisine.
We visited Persimmon Tree restaurant for Lunch, Korean restaurant that left a lasting impression. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. The menu offered a variety of traditional Korean dishes, just the right varieties. Usually, when restaurants have many items on the menu, sometimes you won't get the best dish. That's what I've experienced for whatever reason. The Items that we ordered were the right quality and the perfect taste. I especially enjoyed the bibimbap and the bulgogi—both were flavorful and well-prepared. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service at Persimmon Tree. The staff, with their warm smiles and attentive nature, made us feel truly pampered. When one of my friends requested not to put onion and spring onion toppings on the dish, she later came and asked if she was okay with kimchi pancake as it was part of the accomplishments that came with the dish she ordered, which was very thoughtful of there and paid attention to the customer's preferences. The food was served promptly, and the staff checked in regularly to ensure our satisfaction. Overall, Persimmon Tree restaurant is an excellent place to satisfy your craving for good Korean cuisine in this neighbourhood. The combination of delicious food and outstanding service made for a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine in a warm and friendly environment.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch and it was AMAZING. This is definitely a place you can go for a GOOD quality Korean food which there are not many on the island. The parking lot is huge so it was nice. The restaurant was very spacious and CLEAN and the pleasant welcome from the staff was really nice. We ordered some appetizers and Jjambong(seafood noodles) and the famous Korean chicken. I LOVED jjambong! The portion was great and it wasnt too spicy. The Korean chicken was so yummy as well and it came with the salad on the side. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and we are definitely coming back.
I got take out, so that's why I gave a 4 for the atmosphere, although it is a very clean place! David is providing personal recipes of Korean classics and his own take on his South Korean culture. I got the boneless chicken, and it was delicious with the perfect sweet and spicy. I will be back!
Beef bulgogi bibim bap was good. The bulgogi hotpot was not something I was familiar with (I had never seen this dish when I was living in Korea. The most similar dish would be Dduk bul), but it was great! Lots of veggies with warm sweet soup. Some parts of beef were a bit stringy- but was not a big deal for me. I will try again for sure when I am near. Tried again, thinly sliced beef bulgogi was great. Unfortunately, there were more veggies than beef though. Crispy chicken was not my cup of tea. The sauce was quite interesting which I've never tasted in Korea. Overall, okay.
Best Korean food I’ve had in the Victoria area. Excellent service and my meal was out fast. Loved that my rice dish was served in a traditional cast iron bowl which was piping hot to give my rice some crunch on the outside of each grain. Wish it was closer to downtown, but worth the trek out to Millstream.
Update on June 8th: Finally got a chance to dine in. The service was amazingly friendly, and had more option than online menu or delivery app. Also the store inside was nice and bright, had a large table in the middle that can accommodate more than 6 people. ========================== I've been trying to order their food on skip, but their hours of operation on skip are very inconsistent. I was addicted to ordering their pork soft tofu soup, salty and spicy with a hint of sweetness, the best dish in my opinion. But after the pandemic, I think they cut the portion. The savoury seafood pancake tastes good too, and the waiter is very attentive to mark the sauce. However, there is not much seafood in it, and most of the pancakes are chives. Have ordered bibimbap too, amazing taste, hope to try it again next time I see them open on skip.
Best short ribs ever friendly service and the teas are second to none , Fresh made Kimchi ; ) Food
Truly feels like home food
If you want to experience Korean food, try Persimmon tree! The appetizer (pancake_aka.Jeon) & main dishes are great. My favorite food is mushroom bibimbap (if you are not a fan of spicy sauce, try with soy sauce ) My husband likes Chili Pork and spicy tofu soup. Highly recommended!
The dumplings were nothing short of DELICIOUS! The server was prompt and courteous, I strongly recommend to my friends.
Great service and great food.
Excellent Food, worth a stop.
This restaurant is the best Korean food in Victoria. I always order seafood spicy tofu soup. The soup is really flavorful. I love this restaurant because we can eat authentic Korean spicy food.
Excellent food. Dietary restrictions: Menu is labelled with vegan and gluten-free options. Food : 5/5 |
This is excellent fresh food! Really surprised. I had miso with Bulgogi. Vegetarian options: Love the non spicy dish Food : 5/5 |
My friend introduced me to this locally owned restaurant and we always have a positive dining experience. I ve had their Korean fried rice and beef bulgogi and enjoyed their authenticity. The flavours are just right for me as I prefer not too spicy. The lemon tea also tastes refreshing served over ice and the crème brûlée is a nice treat! The ladies are so kind, gracious and they make me smile:). They play lovely modern background music too. I happily recommend Persimmon Tree Restaurant!
Excellent Korean food. Very authentic. Great service.
Kind and not bad
Fantastic pork kimchi fried rice. Perfectly spiced and magnificent!
The staff was very friendly and really cared about allegories. The food was delicious. They have a lot of vegetarian options and the atmosphere was outstanding. Food
Fantastic bibimbap. 2nd time being there and it doesnt disappoint.
Super friendly staff. Excellent food. Highly recommended.
Wonderful restaurant highly recommend! Went for a late lunch and had a delicious vegan option meal for 19cad. Also strongly recommend the coffee and coconuts cream brûlée for dessert! Vegetarian options: Vegan meal options
You should never go to this Korean restaurant. This is the worst Korean food I ve ever had in Victoria. I ordered spicy beef bibimbap but I couldn t taste beef and spicy at all. The ingredients were the weird sauce with ground beef (that I couldn t even taste), soy bean sprouts, cucumber, kale and egg inside of the sauce. It was super sweet and tasted so bad. The miso soup which came with bibimbap was also weird. It s wasting money.
The bibimbap is BUSSIN !
Not very traditional Korean food. The flavors are lighter.
Great staff and food recommend
delicious! good service! worth a try. will go back.
Newly tasting lunch menu, yummy
Fun menu you dont often find in Victoria. Food was delicious and the server was sweet with a big smile :)
Great food, great place, great service highly recommended
Delicious food and GF choices. Very polite service. Love this place Dietary restrictions: GF choices Food : 5/5 |
If you have not gone here, you need to. This is some of the best Korean I have had. Definetly the best on the island. 10/10. Its a Goooo for sure
Food was really good. Came on a random weekday and the plaza was very quiet.
Ordered take out from here for the 1st time, OMG so good!!! Had the bulggogi prawn with the prawn dumpling with a mayo dip and will order again for sure:) Thanx!!!
This place was amazing! We ordered beef bibim bap, veg dumplings, and Korean fried chicken. Everything was phenomenal and we will definitely be back.
I m rounding this one up to a 5, because the meal was excellent, but I think this is more of a 4.5. The food was great. It was our first time here so we tried a few things. The fried dumplings were exactly what you d expect, crispy, flavourful and hot. The Bulgogi Bibim Bab was easily the highlight, wonderful flavours throughout the entire dish. Will be returning just for that. The short ribs were solid, but quite pricey at $36 for the meal. Crème brûlée was fantastic. Tried Korean beer (Cass) and Soju for the first time, quite enjoyed both. The only thing keeping this spot from a true 5 in my mind was the ambience. Bright and white lights, my nightmare at a dinner spot lol. Disposable, take out chopsticks are a little disappointing when you re eating a $40 entree. Thankfully these are pretty easily fixable problems. Service was great, our server was very friendly. Will be returning for the food absolutely, but hopefully they take some steps to add some more ambience into the room. Will see you again!
Best Korean on the south island. Absolutely love this place. Perfect spice levels and flavours
We love this little place. The food has been delish every time we have been in. Absolutely enjoy the Korean beer, I wish they had a few more types to try. The servers are all really friendly, service with a smile. Try their special of the week, it reminds me of home cooking comfort food. Its not a fancy restaurant but its cozy.
Persimmon Tree made us amazing gluten-free Korean food. Their menu is very clearly labeled, and they are able to accommodate many dietary restrictions like vegetarian and vegan. Try the bulgogi beef, kimchi fried rice, or the variety of mushroom dishes! Thank you, Persimmon Tree!!! Dietary restrictions: Persimmon has clearly labeled indicators for any with dietary restrictions. It is fantastic to see a Korean restaurant able to make gluten-free food. So delicious, too!
Wow, amazing!! Love it.
The food is delicious! The restaurant service is of high quality! friendly people! The restaurant is clean!
Fabulous modern Korean restaurant served my east Asian food crave. First visit and at lunch time from how quick the place gets packed up tells me it s a popular place for locals. Family and children are welcome with child seats available. There are booths and center tables. Ample natural light with friendly waitresses, and the owner is a wonderful and kind lady. I ordered veggie bibimbap and jasmine tea. For lunch it came with a bowl of soup. The bibimbap is delicious and you may add however amount of spicy red sauce. A slight disappointment but this may be for safety concern is that the stone pot isn t hot enough to harden up the rice. Overall, pretty satisfied and will definitely return for more.
Best food in Langford.. Ive had a little bit of everything and theyre all basically perfect I cant get enough of the boneless fried chicken and I love the sauce and cabbage it comes with.
We eat here fairly often. It offers an excellent execution of an imaginative reinterpretation of classic Korean food.
Very very good food was so happy with everything. Just a small room with great family offering good flavors and clean food. Also had battered shrimp on special best I have ever had.
We have been many times and really enjoy the food. Owners are nice. Spicy Korean Chicken Bites are SO delicious as well as their cherry blossom wine. Would totally recommend!
My favorite Korean on the island, no joke! And its in this plaza near Costco, not even downtown. Def come try it out! Vegetarian options: Veggie and gf and df dishes
Very nice spot, very clean. The menu is only Koren; it has quite a variety of dishes. We ordered a shared appetizer and a main. Everything we had was flavourful. We will definitely go back again. Vegetarian options: Many of the dishes are listed on the menu as vegetarians with the option to add tofu, chicken, beef or prawns. They also have gluten free options. Wheelchair accessibility: I currently am using crutches, there is a graded sidewalk with parking in front. No big sill in entering the restaurant and there is a large handicapped washroom with a grab bar on one side
One of our favorite places to eat Korean food. Spicy tofu soup was the best.
Amazing food and staff! Would recommend to anyone.
Such a great find, host was so sweet and the food was awesome
The spicy seafood tofu soup was amazing. The spice level was perfect. Everything tasted really good. The ambiance was also very nice with a nice view. Vegetarian options: They had a lot of vegetarian options and all dishes could be made vegetarian or vegan. Dietary restrictions: Very friendly for people with dietary restrictions. They could accommodate gluten free, dairy free and/or vegans.
The ambiance of the restaurant has a hint of what the restaurant imbues, a korean fusion restaurant. It feels clean and modern and felt welcomed from the two servers! A pleasant service, all around. We ordered the starter, deep fried dumbplings, lemon soya, korean chili, and honey miso chicken wings. All the fried food was amazing. None of the fried food were greasy and cooked well to the inside. The outside was crispy and korean chili just hit the perfect spot. It is now one of the top chicken wings I had, especially the korean chili and honey miso! For the main meal, I had the fishermans hotpot. Just as the name implies, there are assorted veggies and seafood. And overall this was my favorite experience of the meal. This broth was simply amazing! Coming from a Californian, this is a specialty of its own. Its so good that when I come up to visit Victoria again and for anyone else, this is a must!
I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say it was an absolute delight for my taste buds! This Korean restaurant truly embodies the essence of authentic Korean cuisine and provides an exceptional dining experience. Every dish I tried was a masterpiece. The menu boasted an extensive selection of classic Korean dishes, and each one was prepared with utmost care and expertise. The flavors were rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. It was evident that the ingredients used were fresh and of the highest quality. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the dining experience provided. Overall, Persimmon tree exceeded my expectations in every way. Its the perfect place for both casual meals and special occasions, offering a true taste of Korea in a charming setting. If youre a fan of Korean cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit! I cant wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again. Highly recommended!
Extremely friendly and inviting staff. Service was prompt. Decor inside clean and minimal but nicely done. Food was excellent. Would not have changed a think. Reasonably priced and portion size was great! Will definitely be back.
Consistent high quality food, Ive been there probably a dozen times for lunch and dinner.
Gave this a 3 because the same portion used to fill the bowl, is not maybe 2/3 full. Each bowl is now over $18. Also I ordered a FIVE DOLLAR side of veg, mushrooms and zucchini and it came in this tiny 2 ounce ramekin...rip off!
Excellent little neighborhood spot. Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options Kid-friendliness: Highchairs and childrens utensils were offered!
We live in Los Angeles and have an amazing Korea Town. The food here just hits the spot as we are doing a 5 week road trip through British Columbia. The seafood spicy soup and bulgogi bibimbap were full of flavor. The pickled side dishes that came with the soup were actually perfect for the bibimbap, only recommendation to the restaurant would be to add kim chi and the pickled daikon to the bibimbap has it adds nice acidity!
Went to Persimmon Tree Modern Korea and it was great the food was good the staff were great and the location was excellent lots of parking will come back
Everything youd expect from a korean bbq restaurant. Great service, excellent food. Right in the neighborhood! Well be back. Thank you! Food
Food was great korean and some served in cast iron dishes with wood blocks. Serving staff was very friendly our server was very sweet. English not their first language but that doesnt matter. They were having a good time talking to other staff members when behind the counter. Atmosphere is a simple place and a bit bare but clean and spacious for groups of 4 to 6. Will come back :)
Great food and service. Sweet and spicy chicken was nice and crispy and flavourful with a mild heat. Bulgogi bibim bap was nicely put together and perfect crispy rice from the pot.
The waitress is the best!!! A good recommendation, a great chefs cuisine and a lot of love on the recipes. I love it. Thank you so much. Spicy and good.
I love the thrill of international food. But the food here is good and the staff are friendly Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian menu Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu
Tried the first time at a friends house. My wife and I absolutely loved it. We are planning on ordering very soon. It was incredibly delicious!!
Very good Korean food. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. Will be returning to try other dishes on the menu. Lots of parking as well and easy access for persons with mobility issues. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of parking close to the restaurant including handicap spot.
WOW tiny portions not even close to chicken 649 pietuon or taste very dissatisfied.
Great food great service. Alright price.
Amazing food
Food is excellent and staff are always so welcoming.
Absolutely the best Korean food in the greater victoria area. Flavourful, expansive vegan and gf menu. The pancake is phenom!!
Ok this place is delicious! Try the Korean fried chicken, the spring rolls and the Bulgogi hot pot...you will not be disappointed. Fantastic flavors friendly staff and good atmosphere
Delicious food and fantastic service! The sesame chicken ramen was flavourful and light
Ive been trying to find a good korean restaurant and Persimon tree without a doubt is the best. The food is very authentic and the restaurant is super clean. The servers are friendly and the owner seemed very welcoming too. I would definitely come back! My favorite is sesame chicken ramen
Good food and nice staff...love the Korean chicken...add rice and I am happy! Location at millstream with level entrance and CIVID protocols.
We enjoyed our food. Simple yet tasty. We ordered vegetable pancakes, pork with rice and side dishes and creme brule for dessert. Very affordable! Will definitely come back and try other dishes.
Ate here for the first time last night. Wife picked up some Friday night take out, and my goodness was it ever delicious!! Had the chili chicken and dry spicy wings. Absolutely amazing food. Cant wait to eat in the restaurant as she said it was very clean and inviting with incredible service!
Not very impressed with the food. It was quite flavorless and bland. I tried 5 things and they were all meh. Im also used to really good Korean food and potentially they dont want to scare the local population with some real flavor and spice. Will not be going back. Really nice service though
The experience is as great as google review. Other than tasty bibimbap and pancake which just as good as I imagined, the crème brûlée is amazing probably won t go wrong with any items off the menu, but please try their crème brûlée, it is surprisingly delicious Will come back again!
This is too slow for some food
Had lunch here and it was really delicious. The Bibimbap and Haemul pajeon were great. Service was also very friendly
We had the daily special, Korean Fried Chicken, it was sooooo good. The service wss great and if you havent tried Korean tea, it was delicious. Well be back, maybe even tomorrow!
Always come here when Im working in Langford. Their chicken ramen soup is amazing. (photo was lunch today fried chicken special)
We love coming here regularly for a delicious hot soup on a rainy day and finishing with the coconut & coffee creme brulee is a must! Kid-friendliness: Our daughter loved that they brought her a special bowl and cutlery for her noodles. The options they have for kids are great and she had lots of fun colouring too.
Such an amazing restaurant for authentic Korean. The kimchi was absolutely amazing and definitely homemade. I had the hot pot which was so delicious and my friend had the yam noodle stir fry. The waitress was so sweet and super funny. Definitely will be returning soon !
LOVE this place. It is so thoughtful and amazing to have a GF menu (amongst other dietary restrictions). Love this place forever.
Only eat here if you want really great servers to bring you amazing food. Portions were great. The service was wonderful. The flavours were authentic. And the flight of Korean drinks was tasty! Well be back. You should absolutely give it a try!
The food was excellent and the service was also very good!
Delicious Korean food! I love kimchi soup although it s too spicy to let me cry!
I ordered stir fried yam noodle. It came in a generous portion. The dish was pretty decent. The price was also quite reasonable. The service was great. The waitress was all smiling and cheerful, she really made our dining experience very pleasant. Parking: Lots of parking spots, theres no problem at all.
This place is absolutely delicious, and the best Korean on the island. I highly recommend the bulgolgi, or the fried chicken.
Good and tasty Korean chicken and barbecue beef ribs. Soft and juicy food.
POOR management of customer service in Perimmon Tree Korean restaurant in Victoria. I will not suggest anyone who is looking for a standard food and beverage KOREAN restaurant in Victoria BC. NEVER!
Visited Victoria, visited this restaurant because of some good commands, friendly staffs. IF everything goes smooth. waitress are good and polite. The problems and their attitude change after something went wrong. Chef came out yelled at us, all this because I ordered a seafood pot special requested mild spicy. Pot came out very spicy, I cant take spicy food, just asking added some basic soup or water, in order to finish the pot, answer was NO.. the chef came out talked and yelled at us, until we asked the chef left us alone. Cause we didnt want to screw up our trip because of this. Good thing we dont live there, and for sure we wont go back or recommend to any of my friend.
This place is fantastic, amazing food, the waitress was super nice, nice atmosphere, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone
The restaurant is very clean and gave very welcoming and cozy vibes. The staff is so incredibly sweet, thoughtful and accommodating. The food was delicious and the menu has plenty of vegan and vegetarian options! Will definitely be dining here again :) Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options as well as vegan options available. Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessible parking right out front as well as a sloped sidewalk/ramp near the parking spot. The door is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible (no automatic open button) so you may need assistance opening the door.
Kid- friendly restaurant. We had a great time.
The sweetest auntie as a waitress. Super nice service and great food
Great food. Nice place
Clean, good service, good location. Food is kinda light for me, prefer stonger flavour. Would raise 5 stars if the soup taste better
Super delicious, good environment, and the service is excellent! Highly recommend it!
Delicious food offering dine in (Covid 19 procedures in effect) and takeaway. Recommended!
Authentic, flavourful Korean favourites, such as kimchi stew and three types of bibimbap. (And much more!) Excellent, friendly service. Spacious interior for pandemic service. Clean and comfortable washrooms.
Horrible food. Save yourself from this place. Koreans would be ashamed if any dined here.
Good Korean food out on the Westshore. Good prices and friendly staff.
Highly recommended. Taste great, awesome service, and I do appreciate the stoneware, keeping my delicious kimchi stew hot until I finished this.
Two words: seafood pancake.
Friendly service and welcoming environment. Delicious Sesame Chicken Ramen with an additional egg!!
Ordered the Kimchi and Pork Dumplings, Bulgogi Bibim Bab, and Kimchi Fried Rice. All dishes were excellent and time from ordering to pickup was under 25 minutes. Friendly service and a good online menu for ordering. Would strongly recommend.
Staff were super great. Friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely amazing. Perfect spice levels. Was a genuine treat.
The staff there are friendly and the service is quick. Even better is the food, always very delicious and fresh. Grabbed some lunch to go today and was happy to see the patio open and kitchen ready to go during these very tough times.
Great food at a great price!
We had a fabulous lunch and will definitely be back. The menu was packed with excellent options that we re going to have to revisit to try some more of them.
My favourite Korean restaurant hands down! Food is always quick and delicious! Super sad tho that they took away the kimchi stew, it was the best Ive ever had and I hope they bring it back one day!!!
Friendly staff and delicious food. Best Korean cuisine we had in a really long time.
We gave a 5 because of Giselle (Kayomi) all-around service, shes the best! Good food, too
Delicious food. Really good service
Really loved our lunch here. Hot the asian craving perfectly! They have a good amount of vegan options and are happy to make changes to their dishesto suit diets. A dog friendly patio and a water bowl for the dogs was a great bonus. Will definitely go back!
Love the Bibimbap
Best Korean food in town bar none. Excellent food & excellent service. 5 stars
Pretty authentic flavors and casual decor. Service was friendly and the environment was clean. Note that there is a sign posted that the kitchen is SOLELY manned by the head chef so orders take a while until they hire more people. Our order took 20min but was no bother to us or other patrons.
Surprise found eatery in a local shopping mall. You know it is good when you see oriental families eat there.
Good food, cheap and she is very kind.
Food was terrible. I got sick from it.
I m allergic to shellfish, so I couldn t get the cucumber kimchi. However, if didn t miss the kimchi one bit. Lots of flavour. Bulgogi Bipim Bap, yes please!
So yummy! : D Order via phone on Sept.30. We got C1 (as in cat) and B5 (as in Bob). Both were beautifully presented and of a good portion size. The best part about our visit was the nice and patient lady that walked us through the menu to make sure we got something we would like. Everything was nice and snug in the bag, labeled with cute little smileys, and with extra sauce in the event of needed spice deployment. Tummys are happy. So is our cat, that got a little piece too.
Tasty food! Great place to visit, definitely wont disappoint. People at this store are really helpful and polite
Amazing spicy tofu soup and chilli pork. Good portions and authentic - would be back again and again! Hard to find good Korean food in Westshore
Great modern Korean food if you re in the Langford area, would highly recommend
Great ramen and super friendly staff!
Best Korean food in the GVA!
They discriminate!!!!
One of my favourite resturants in Victoria! Ever since moving here from the mainland not many resturants have gotten a stamp of approval in my books. Amazing food and wonderful staff, due keep in mind with Covid they are little slower than before. Highly recommend the Beef Bugolgi Bipbimbob and Stir fried Bugolgi, but honestly there everything is delicious!
My favorite Korean place so far! Very friendly staff. Get the fried chicken with a side of stir fried vegetables, or the bulgogi! I want you to go to this place so they stay afloat through covid because I want to keep coming here to be honest
Bulgogi haven!
Really great food and nice servers :)
Really great Korean food and friendly service. Really enjoyed trying the sweet teas. My husband had Chef Daves special and I had the Sesame chicken ramen which was great along with our starters. Highly recommend, well be back!
Stupidly overpriced for what you get, very average food, I think I got like a 1/2cup of rice with a few pieces of meat and some cabbage... If you want a replacement, a poke bowl from island poke its SO much better.
Amazing vegan options! Just sad I didnt hear about this restaurant earlier. The restaurant was also absolutely spotless, friendly waitresses and a nice environment.
love this place! great food, good prices, and friendly service.
Stopped in for lunch (March 17/20) and had a tasty seafood ramen,s cle What really got my attention was the cleanliness of the establishment and the fact that one of the waitresses was outside cleaning the door pull at the entrance,Nice touch!!Especially now,
First time here and absolutely delicious! Quick service on take out and still piping hot when we got home. Will definitely return!
We ordered the Boneless Korean fried chicken and the stir fried yam noodle bowl for our first shot at this restaurant. We werent disappointed. The chicken was AMAZING and we will for sure be ordering here again.
Giselle takes care of you
This was amazing. Was missing being able to go to Korea and have their food but this made it perfect. The kim chi was on point, the Bulgogi was amazing and my husband had the fried chicken to satisfy his craving. Fantastic!
Really friendly service with a good variety of authentic dishes. The seafood soft tofu soup was flavourful and it is worth trying the pancake. Kids menu available if you need.
The restaurant has what I consider the best spicy soft tofu soup in all of Victoria. It is a must have dish if you are going here. Ive never been disappointed with a meal at the restaurant. Even something as simple as rice is cooked perfectly and I can tell is made on the day. I can tell by the presentation and the taste of the food that the chef there really cares about Korean food and making the food experience a wonderful one.
Great service and great tasting food. They have imposed Covid-19 protocols like taking the name and phone number and making sure that customers will be comfortable with the distancing of their tables. Went here after trekking Goldstream. The staffs are also kind, well-mannered, and accommodating.
This Chef is great. Best Korean food i have had in Victoria. Well seasoned, high end, well presented in a spotless Restaurant. I have had probably 7-8 different items from the Menu and have enjoyed them all. I highly recommend this place. Bad location though, i really hope they will succeed...
Always so tasty and the service is top. They are so kind and adorable with our family, especially to our little one. definitely one of our favorite restaurant in town.
Delicious, fast and friendly service and great covid measures in place!
Taste O.k. but portions small so needs to order extra 1 more to feel full. So about $30:spent per person. Service is good.
Pricey for moderate portions though taste ok. Seafood combo soup only ½ the bowl. Needed an extra order to feel satisfied. Bill ended $28 per person not including beverages. Add about $4 for drinks. Well tips extra again.
Everything is so delicious!!!!! Highly recommend. We enjoyed the tasting tray of Korean alcohol (Soju). Also really appreciated how celiac friendly the menu is.
Friendly service and tasty food.
Very flavourful! COVID friendly. Loved the food and the hot sweet tea.
Great food, very taste! Good service! Will come back for sure!
First let me say it is clean and very good service. I dont think there is much Korean left in their modern version. It wasnt bad but as far as taste it wasnt what I would call Korean. It is much like a German Mexican restaurant I visited where they used pork and beans. They didnt have a clue about Mexican food. I would say they have taken the best parts of Korean food out of this version. Nice folks but even if I lived nearby, I wouldnt be going back. Maybe Canadians like this version.
Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Great food and service!
Authentic Korean food made by real Korean people. This is one of the best Korean restaurant in Town. It would be better if the portion is a bit bigger but for me is ok since I don t have a big appetite.
Had the yam noodle dish. It was quite delicous. First time trying Korean cusine and I do think ill be back.
This is the best restaurant in all of greater Victoria. The menus is amazing. The food is authentic and the service is great. Amazing selection of traditional food.
I was missing Asian food cuz I m from jp But this restaurant helped me.
So Gooood!
Good food and decently priced.
Way over priced and food quality is mediocre which even I can make the same quality easily! The so-called Korean food is just a gimmick, and don t expect too much on that. This is absolute a joke to me and probably to trick those customers who doesn t know Korean food at all. If you want authentic Korean food, try couple restaurants in Victoria downtown and you will know why I m saying that. Service is slow, I ordered and waited 45 mins for food to come. The only star is given to the decor, the decor looks good but I m not living in the restaurant, I came here because I was hungry and wanted good food! And therefore, I will not recommend and I will not go back.
Very tasty and friendly staff. Wish the portions were a bit bigger, especially on the Bi Bim Bap.
Delicious food. Was so happy to see a whole lot of vegetarian and vegan options. The stir-fried yam noodles are a must try.
Very tasty and good food
Excellent food, drinks and service. Well be back for sure!
The staff was very friendly and came by to refill any condiments that we had consumed. The sesame chicken ramen was very good. I will definitely be back
Great menu.
Love this place, modern vibe, good food and service.
My dinner was excellent and very tasty!!
