MY NAME IS SUSHI in Langford

I m sad that I haven t tried this spot sooner! Their sushi is so much better than so many other places. So fresh! And they are generous with their ingredients in the sushi rolls. They do not skimp at all. The avocado was large and perfectly ripe. They also have gluten free Gyoza!! I haven t been able to find that anywhere. It was delicious. Worth the extra price. My order was ready in 20 min at lunch time. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available!

Great sushi spot with lovely staff

This is my favourite Japanese restaurant in Langford for delivery! Everything is always so good and their steak sauce is great. I love the selection of rolls.

I order from here all the time! Mostly take out but Ive been im for dine in for a couple years as well. My food is always warm when I pick it up as well at super quick never have had to wait once. Even dine in I get extremely fast service, they dont hover too much which I love and its always quiet and super comfortable. The food is amazing and keeps me coming back as well as the workers. I always get greeted happily and have been getting extra food with my deliveries which I never expect but happens almost everytime. It always brings a smile to my face. I love everyone that works there they are beyond nice. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

Ive ordered from this place many times and its always so good. Everything Ive ever gotten has been amazing, and theyre definitely my go to sushi place. On that note - dont sleep on their other stuff. The Takoyaki is especially good, but the gyozas and grenade are some other favourites. Honestly you cant go wrong with anything you get.

I come here lots of times since it is near my house, and it is by far my favorite restaurant on Vancouver island. The staff is extremely nice, the environment of the store is very pleasing, and the food is absolutely astounding. Recommendations: - Anything to due with salmon

This was my first time trying out a sushi restaurant since the thought of raw fish didnt appeal to me. I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and came by here! The lady working the counter was lovely and very helpful explaining everything to someone who had no idea! There is a small refrigerated counter that has some premade sushi you can easily buy and take. As well they have a huge menu to choose from of items they make on demand. We chose several different options from the refrigerated counter and were not disappointed! Huge pieces and really delicious sauces on them! Everything was extremely fresh, and we felt we had good value for the prices. They do have a very small eat-in section to it at as well. We look forward to coming back again!

Salmon tempura roll is delicious

I love this place, the people are very friendly and the best thing there is the Ramen.

One of my favourite spots! Fresh ingredients, nice preparation, yummy food, and excellent service! A friend suggested this place to me recently, and I ordered a tray of a variety of rolls for a dinner I was hosting; it was great. Today we went to try the Ramen soup, and it was delicious!!! Cooked with love. It is a small place but with a lot of soul and flavour. The staff is super friendly, kind, and pays attention to all the details. Thank you; we will return soon!

I always order Uber eats from here and the quality and packaging is amazing. Food is always the right temperature. Tastes sooo good. I recommend the spider roll!

Without question this is consistently the best sushi in Victoria. They are fast, portions are large, food is super fresh, and they always go above and beyond with your order. Highly, highly recommend. Vegetarian options: They kindly specify which items are veggie to avoid any confusion.

A really great family run restaurant, you can tell they really care about taste, quality and presentation. I wish I took a photo, but it was to good we couldn t wait! It s mostly a take out place, but we were accommodated when we wanted to dine in. The lady running the front was just wonderful, she recommended the super dynamite roll and it was my favourite. Thank you for dinner!

The owner is super friendly, the sushi (and non sushi dishes) are delicious, and the restaurant is super cute and casual. Highly recommended!

Service is always above and beyond, in person is so friendly and fast, and my delivery orders always have a cute note or little extra snack. Since opening I have never had anything to complain about and their house sauces are delicious. A super nice spot to sit and grab a quick and delicious meal with great company.

Had an emergency request from my wife while in labor at the hospital for Sushi. Always great food they even gave me a discount!!!! My baby looked a bit Japanese when she was born, though. Im sure theres no connection there.

A small and tidy store. Sushi tastes fresh and the owner is friendly. Very good green tea if you dine in.

Good sushi but Expensive. Sunomono salad is extremely over priced for how much it is.

The sushi here is a 5/10. We also didn t get soy sauce with our order. The high price was not reflected in the food quality. Our order was also wrong, they included some items from someone else s order. We were swayed by the other high reviews, I wish we had tried another spot.

My go-to takeout sushi in Langford, I really like the dragon roll and the beef udon, chicken teriyaki so so good. Spicy gyoza was also excellent

We ready the reviews and visited while on vacation. The food and service were amazing. We were so happy to have made the detour to stop in. I only give atmosphere a 2 star because the bathroom was horrendous. And very off putting, as everything looked covered in dirt, dust, hair and grime.

My favourite place for lunch. Excellent sushi, very friendly, family run. Not much space to sit down and eat, but excellent for take out. And they have some of the best wings as a special on Fridays.

A very small space with seating for no more than a dozen. Thus, take out is the main stay. A very long list of sushi, sashimi, and in particular rolls. All well executed, Swiftly and with panache. Food

This is a complete disappointment. The sushi was without a single piece of fish. Rolls looked like a lump of porridge. Apparently they have no idea what California and Philadelphia look like.

The family that runs this amazing little shop are some of the nicest happiest people I ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Always glad to spend money at a local place like this

This will be our new place to go for sushi. Only has 3 tables for 2 to eat in so this restaurant does a lot of takeout. It has a variety of sushi ready made to grab and go. Fridays only they have a Korean Chicken special that is excellent

When we first arrived we were given a very nice welcome and delicious food, the place was spotless and friendly, I highly recommend it.

Update: ordered food again tonight. Everything was great! When we picked up the food, my daughter was given a sucker. There were also free Goyzas in the bag! Original: Everything we got tasted good. We will order again for sure! We got two basic rolls, one special California crunch (real crab), spicy goyzas, and steak sauce and rice (yum!!). Good prices too!

I do deliveries from nanaimo to vic and this is one of my favorite go to lunch spots. The sushi grade is 10/10 the tuna tastes like it was caught that morning. Owners are very friendly and its got a great grab and go selection. My only complaint is they give u wings soy sauce. Wings is great soy but its Chinese not Japanese, Kikkoman would be a better choice for sushi soy but still love this place : D

Recently changed owners. Gyoza seemed like something you would get in a box from Costco. Got a salmon avocado roll for $8 with farmed salmon. California roll is mostly rice. Caterpillar roll was lacking flavour. Wasabi in a package and no ginger. If you want manufactured sushi but actually want to enjoy it go next door to Thrifty Foods.

This review is not for the grab and go sushi in the coolers. The sushi prepared was amazing and had great portion sizes for the prices. When I first walked in I was worried the quality would be sub par due to it being a small location and offering grab and go sushi. (Ive only had bad experiences with grab and go) however I was pleasantly surprised! The customer service was amazing too. Now the grab and go sushi may be a different story however I did not try it so I cannot give a solid review for them.

Decided to give this place a try as we always drive by it.... was shocked when the total for 4 rolls of basic Sushi (which was mostly all avocado) cost $50!! I can get the same thing of the same quality somewhere else for $36... wont be eating here again. Yikes! *EDITED TO REPLY* what youre saying is, because I made a request to leave out ingredients, you charged me DOUBLE instead of $23.69 plus tax if Id just ordered regular Cali rolls? Avocado doesnt cost 10 bucks each. Even if Id ordered 4 avocado rolls that would still only equal under $30, which you didnt tell me the change in price for my special order until I picked it up. It was simply no worries at all we can do that! What youre really saying is you dont accommodate allergies unless youre taking advantage of it to make bank, which is seriously disgusting. Do not recommend shady business to anyone. Ill say it again: stay away from this sushi place and go to one that wont take advantage of you if you need them to leave out ingredients containing gluten products!!! I have never been so disgustingly over charged by any other restaraunt!

Lived in Langford for 10 years and have tried them all. Beat sushi spot in the Westshore. Small family operation and always good spirited. Kamikaze Roll and Dragon Roll are two of our must haves.

Got a salmon, avocado roll. Was reasonably priced. Took one bite and something tasted very off. I dont think the salmon was fresh. I threw out the remainder of the meal.

Our favorite sushi spot! So convenient, so fresh, SO kind, and super quick if you need a bite. This is truly a Langford gem and we are so thankful to have My Name is Sushi just around the corner from us! You won t regret it :)

Ordered a takoyaki for to go. On the menu it says 5 pieces, but I only got 4. They told me the menu is wrong. Then really recommend to change the menu or remind the costumers before they order, not after they found out and asked

The couple who own the restaurant are wonderful. Friendly and oh so kind. Their sushi is excellent and there is a great variety. You can pre-order for pick up or they have a large cooler with pre-made sushi that is ready to go. We will definitely be returning customers.

We go there a lot and its usually pretty good for the value but today was really bad and Im not sure if I want to go back. The main thing was that the rice was either cheap rice or was not prepared properly (didnt cool enough). There was too much rice as well and the rolls fell apart when we picked them up. Hated the spicy tuna. And why are you using styrofoam now? You used to use plastic containers that could be recycled. Very disappointing.

Very good costumer service and great quality sushi

The smell of the seaweed on their maki rolls was offensive and immediately stunk up my truck. The salmon rolls looked good but were room temperature. Everything else was at best, just ok. It was edible but it was not good sushi; the smell and taste of the seaweed was so off putting, it ruined any appetite for everything surrounding it so I just pitched it. Called them and they were very sure it was fresh and their best work. Save your money look elsewhere.

Vegetable yakisoba. Way too much sauce & very little veggies $15 plus tip for a disappointing lunch. I haven t tried anything else on their menu, but I don t recommend the yakisoba :(
