The spicy chicken sandwich($22) was terrible. Thin slice of chicken thigh, the breading crumbled off and drenched in hot sauce. It s not spicy breading, just hot sauce. The wedges needed salt. My husband s omelette was bland ($22). Also got 2 lattes, they were okay. The environment was more of a cafe. Better for to go food. We dined in but had to place our order at the counter so, service is as expected. No water served (it s self serve). For the price we paid, there are better breakfast/lunch places with better service.

A lovely little place. Gets quite busy, even on a Saturday but I can see why. Its delicious and cozy yet well lit. Very clean and the staff were friendly. Would come back for sure! Love the music.

Came here with my bf. No one greeted us at the door and no one was behind the counter to take our order. We sat ourselves and waited for 10 minutes still nothing? Very bizarre experience and a waste of a drive. We left and went to cornerstone cafe and it was great.

My wife and I have eaten here several times and we have always had excellent service to go along with a delicious menu of great food. Their quesadilla is the best Ive had.

So happy to have found this hidden gem! From coffee, to pastries, to full on meals, they have it all. The staff are incredible-so friendly and accommodating. I have a gluten allergy and they have the most delicious gluten free muffins and bread if you get one of the meals. This place is close to my office so I have started meeting clients there for a more casual setting. Will be returning again and again.

We were there for lunch as a family and my son wanted a grilled cheese sandwich and even though its on the menu twice, once in the kids section and once in the regular part we were told they were unable to make us a grilled cheese sandwich. Kinda crazy that you cant put some cheese in between two pieces of bread for $17 which is already a bit expensive. So we walked out. Unfortunate.

Excellent food, coffee, and service with a smile. Cafe style so not super comfy but worth it to come for the food. Priced well also.

First time here. Went for lunch with work group. Able to get a seat right away. Order food before seating down so that was different. Only one person taking orders and bringing food out. Didnt take that long. The special was really tasty ( burger) and it came with potato wedges. They had herbs on it for taste and my only issue was the amount of wedges. Very few. Would like to have a few more. Desert were tasty. Would go and try another dish.

The place is a standard industrial bay beautifully renovated into a bistro. The big bay door remains and was open for a nice indoor/outdoor vibe. I only had coffee so I cant comment on the food but the kitchen looked clean and well appointed. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Basically all this place needs is more customers! I was there off-peak time at 3pm but the other dozen tables were empty.

Im so delighted to find this little gem. Looking for a good burger in the evening and I couldnt have been happier. Coffee was fantastic as well. Cant wait to find try more on the menu. Well be back!

Today I got advice from Google about snidanovs place and despite the expected high rating, the Bistro still surprised me - wonderful service, absolutely masterful food and a relaxed atmosphere - clear 5 Vegetarian options: plenty of options

What a random hidden gem this is! I was on the verge of hanger late afternoon so I googled nearby coffee shops looking for a snack. Lord did I ever get more than I asked for! Today s special was a smokey chorizo linguini (see pic). I used to run restaurants for 10 years (GM, Chef etc) and this dish could easily be served at some of the top restaurants in VanCity, let alone this random bistro in Walnut Grove! The chef took the care to caramelize each individual grape tomatoe to fully bring out their flavour it s the little things ppl. The cashier/server was super inviting & hospitable upon entry, and after my meal I happened to be sitting close to chef Joshua Rhodes while they did some computer work. He warmly checked on how I enjoyed the food & gave me a business card. I guess they do catering too? He told me they just started doing a dinner service. Time to get the word out this place is legit! I whole heartedly recommend this spot Now I have to come back earlier in the day & try the coffee haha

Pan cakes with vanilla cream are delicious!!

I ordered the garbanzo bean scramble and as you can see by the picture it is just veggies in oil and it has no flavour. They also gave my sister the wrong burger.

Everything was very delicious, it exceeded my expectations and the attention of the incredible staff. The chef came out himself to bring my dessert and without me needing to request a container for the rest of my meal, he brought it himself for me. I highly recommend it and would return without a doubt.

What an absolute gem of a little place. The open concept is lovely to sit and enjoy the chirping birds and relax. We had the Desi Nashta Platter and DAMN DANIEL. What a great alternative to your traditional North American Bacon and Eggs breakfast. To the owner/chef: The side dish of peppers just needs to be blended to be spreadable.

A nice airy place to grab a bite to eat in the summer. The staff are friendly and the gentleman from the kitchen who served our food was particularly jolly. The food seemed a bit hit or miss, as my burger was plain but my partners omelette was outstanding. Would definitely still go back and try more of the menu

It s hidden in an office park off 96th, hard to find the first time. Once you eat there however you ll find it every time. The place is a coffee shop that has expanded to offer sandwiches and a few breakfast items. I had the cinnamon French toast on cranberry sourdough. Delicious! I recommend it for brunch or lunch. Returned twice now. Once I just had a cranberry scone and brewed coffee (delicious!). Third time I indulged in the grilled Mac and cheese with bacon. Wow! So so good. I ve decided I love the industrial vibe after all, especially on a nice day when the garage door rolls up. Reminds me of the hippest places in Portland. One thing to note: Chef s plating shows professionalism and pride in his/her/their work. It also consistently shows in the taste.

Received rotten lettuce with my sandwich. It looked and smelled gross. I couldn t even finish my food.

Walked in and was a little confused, feels kinda empty not exactly what I expected after hearing such great things. However, staff were very nice and the food was absolutely slappin. Like the Clubhouse sandwich I ordered has no business being as good and flavourful as it was based on my initial opinion of the place. I was a little disappointed that I didnt get a few more potato wedges because they were seasoned so well but not the end of the world. Overall food was a 17/10 atmosphere was a 4 or 5/10. So overall averages out to an easy 12/10 restaurant. Will 100% be coming back to try something else off the menu.

This little restaurant has great service, delicious food and worth going to find. The only reason I gave it 4 star atmosphere is because of the noise level. Very busy, small place so not a great place for a group to converse. But awesome food and friendly, efficient service.

Wish I could give five stars, but the atmosphere of the location is a bit lacking. Attached to a movie studio, it seems like a garage was turned into a cafe/restaurant? It was a bit chilly since the whole side of the wall was a garage door. With that said, the whole place gives off a bit of more to go vibe than dine in. Everything is self serve and ordering is done at the counter instead of the usual waiter/waitress service. The food was great, but for the price a bit lacking. If the price was $2-3 dollar less per dish, would be a five star review for sure. Not a bad place to drop by for breakfast to try out for yourself at least once!

This is a hidden gem oh my gosh! I had this dish called the Garbanzo Bean scramble, zucchini spirals, roasted peppers, broccoli, and potatoes. It was absolutely to live for ! The chef is Josh and he works with a nutritionist on the menu. Also have the mango coconut pudding! DELISH! Ps the service was phenomenal too! I m definitely coming back!

This cafe on the corner is my go to for grilled cheese and chai lattes. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing too!!! The food is fresh, and so tasty! The service is also spot on. Theyre always so helpful and always serve us with an upbeat attitude and a smile. Amazing spot all around!!!!

I ordered the bistro burger and I truly believe that this is what all other burgers want to be when they grow up! Food was simply amazing - one of, if not the BEST, burgers I have ever had. First time I have ever been asked for a burgers doneness. Superb! The menu had a TONNE of other cool things to try as well. Based off of the burger I had, I can only imagine their other dishes are heaven. Service was friendly but you must order at the till and water must be retrieved on your own. Not a big deal but not 5 star service. The atmosphere could use some improving - its not bad but it does not match the quality of the food. In the end, I will DEFINITELY be back and I imagine regularly. I already cant wait to go with my coworkers (after I all tell them how awesome this place is). Good work The Bistro folks.

The food here seems to be universally regarded aa being on the scale of great to amazing. It s a bit of a mismatch in terms of the setting and ambiance. First glance seems to be your standard business park canteen but the menu commands proper sit down restaurant prices. Case in point. Clubhouse sandwich doesn t come with bacon (what!??) and is almost $5 up charge. With a quinoa tabouleh salad it would come to $34 for lunch. BUT the food is definitely tasty and the people working the kitchen serve the plates directly to you with friendly pizzazz. The young fellow working the front is also super attentive and definitely has a career in hospitality. Would recommend trying at least once. The tables were full at lunch and everyone was getting a burger or sandwich of some kind.

The Bistro is a hidden little gem in Walnut Grove. I have been a handful of times, and the food has been amazing each time. There is alway a big jug of infused water for you to help yourself to, which is a nice touch. The staff are very friendly, and the owner is lovely, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend the Bistro for anyone looking for a nice breakfast/brunch or lunch.

I ve been intrigued by this place for a long time, driving by and seeing claims like best burger in town . Yesterday, I decided to check it out. First, The Bistro is in a bit of a unique location, off 96 Avenue and in and industrial area, but it s easy to find and tastefully decorated. I love the garage door that opens to allow a natural flow between inside and outside eating areas. Staff are very friendly. I just ordered the burger for take out. I loved it, and it came with a side of potato wedges. Not cheap, but I felt it was worth it. I will return to check out other lunch items, but also the delicious-sounding breakfast.

The food is VERY high quality. I ordered the grandma s breakfast and snacked on the pancakes. The bacon was probably the best I ve ever had and the eggs were perfect. The pancakes were light and fluffy and served with real maple syrup and it was so good. The service is very friendly and welcoming, very on the ball with checking in with people. Also! They noticed that it was my mom s birthday and brought her her own birthday muffin with a candle and snag her happy birthday. 10/10 experience, highly recommend

Easily the best place around.

I drove by their sign that said best lattes in town so many times, I finally decided I needed to try.. and they did not disappoint! My favorite is the lavender latte with oat milk. The food is also great, and the staff are always so friendly. Highly recommend

The true MVP of this place is the man standing on the corner with a sandwich board promoting this place! Decided to try it out for breakfast one day. I would have preferred to sit at a table with a bench but we were sat at a tiny little table right next to the cash register. You get menus then you have to go up, order and pay. The process was a little different. For the amount we paid I was expecting a little bit more. My breakfast was decent toast would have gone better with my eggs, the pancakes were pretty dry and they re stingy on the fruit. Not once during breakfast were we asked if we needed anything or how everything was. The matcha and London fog were good.

The food is always good, but also they have their own one of a kind menu items and an overall warm comfortable place to enjoy your meal.

An unlikely place for a great restaurant. I counted 21 customers eating lunch yesterday. Comfortable setting, happy atmosphere, there was a line up and no problem because the staff were so nice. Definitely interesting to find a busy place on a Saturday, in the warehouse district. Most of the business were closed. Only ordered our breakfast coffees, but would come back again for the Chefs Feature. Parking: Parking on the day I visited was no problem, but not sure on weekdays.

An unexpected gem, terrific food with a home-made feel to it, everything was exactly as Id asked for, and the light piano music on the sound system added a very cozy touch. Give this hidden treasure a try if youre in the neighborhood, and have a hunger for cabbage roll soup!

The staff are very nice but I can make more appetizing food at home and I have only a light idea what I m doing. The cooks should go to White Spot, Browns, or any other restaurant that serves a brunch or breakfast to take notes.

This little cafe in the heart of an industrial section is such a gem!! The food is all made in-house, fresh and delicious. I had the Mac-and-cheese sandwich with the rainbow salad, and it was divine. We will definitely go back to this relaxed diner with incredible food.

Actually a very good restaurant tucked in a very akward place, which is really too bad considering it is very good. The food itself was excellent. I got the house burger and it came out as a perfect medium with pink all through the middle. It was tasty and saucy which I really enjoyed. I also got the soup of the day which was much needed on a rainy day and was very pleased. The chai latte was good as well.

Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich (they have a special on every morning) $9.95 breakfast sandwich and you even get some breakfast potatoes. It was very good seemed like there was two fried eggs and some bacon and spinach and sautéed onion . Highly recommended and well worth the money . ( very good price ) can t wait to try their burger next !

All I can say is wow! You go in expecting a tiny little cafe experience and the staff are super friendly right from the start. The food is generous portion size coupled with amazing taste. It was the quality I would expect from an upper-mid tier urban restaurant. A little out of the way, but totally worth finding!

Benny with a pleasant twist. Lovely Mexican style tomato soup with lots of potatoes, sausages and beans. It was very filling and overall a wholesome meal. Plus, the toast smothered in butter is really my style. I will visit again to try other dishes.

Impressive! Didnt have a lot of expectation when I walked in and saw it was mostly self served. But I guess they really invested their resources on the kitchen and cooking staff. We ordered a pancake and a burger. Really high quality patty and one of the best burgers we had so far. Pancake was pretty good and big portion. Plus, their server was so friendly and we feel like we were treated better than any average restaurant. We would definitely come try more of their food!

A quaint little spot in the middle of an industrial park, the Bistro serves up surprisingly good food given its appearance. The interior decor feels more like a waiting room for an auto body repair shop than a restaurant, but then again who cares if you have hot coffee and tasty food.

Nice atmosphere, staff are very friendly and accommodating. They will walk you through the menu, explain each and recommend based on what you expect. Food was good tasting too and affordable for the price. Try their curry soup, recommended. The ambience is nice and the place is clean and cozy.

While driving a long 96th ave in Langley I saw a sign for The Bistro and the best burger in town so I had to stop. Well they didnt disappoint me. The burger was juicy and very favorable. Will have to come back again as there were so many items on the menu I must try.

I just stopped in briefly to check this place out and grab a snack. The service was absolutely spectacular. The person who greeted me was so lovely and although I couldnt stay for a meal I wish I could have. I will definitely be back and I will bring friends!

Cute and cozy little bistro. I just popped in as I had time on my hands and was in the area. Excellent customer service. They have gluten-free options as well. Haven t tried their coffee but their chai tea is quite good! Update: their coffee and food is amazing! One of my favourites is the lavender latte.

Surprisingly delicious! Not your usual industrial park cafe. Many different and tasty offerings at a good price. The potatoes are fantastic and the lavender London fog is incredible!

Came in not realizing they were 15 minutes from closing, and nothing said about that. I had the burger.. Very tasty and a good size. My wife had the grilled Mac n cheese sammich and it was tasty as well. Real cheese not processed. We apologized for our timing and the response was to take our time and to not feel rushed. For sure we will come back

My best man brought me here before my stag event, and I was not disappointed. The service is awesome, and food comes out very quickly. It was very much worth it for the cost to size ratio, and the chorizo beni was excellent.

An awesome little spot you have probably driven past numerous times but you absolutely need to visit. Its a small bistro in the nook of some businesses and it has quickly become one of my favorites. The food is delectable; the portions are big, and the staff is top-notch. Make sure to try the focaccia!

Anytime you have a question or concern, a simple question will always let Patricia make it right for you. Artistically displayed food, great quality of soup (it wasnt runny, but it was deliciously thick and BIG), the scones were fresh-baked. Combine the jazz music, and it feels like youve time traveled to a more wholesome place :) Dietary restrictions: Patricia is a nutrionist, so she understands what would be best for your needs. Loved experiencing this place. The food was delicious, it tasted so good and fresh. I couldn t decide on my drink so our Barista suggested to try Brown sugar oat latte and it tasted amazing. The staff is so friendly and personable. Definitely a great place to come again.

This is my new favourite place! Friendly service and great food! I only had bacon and eggs, but they were outstanding with peppered bacon I never tried before. Now working my way through the menu... Caramel macchiato with oat milk was delicious. Lots of healthy choices for breakfast and lunch to have in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Recommend 100%

Here we have The bistro grilled mac and cheese with bacon on semolina bread, which was such a great lovely combination. Comes with a green salad with their own in-house vinaigrette dressing. Oh my goodness it was so good. I enjoyed the flavor with the hot sauce that comes with the omelette. Then we also have the omelette with bacon and veggies, pan fried potatoes, focaccia bread. Probably the best omelette youll ever have. We also had the lavender lemonade which was ok but very tart and couldnt really taste the lavender. I would highly recommend this place we will definitely be back everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked really good!

That was the BEST breakfast we have had since moving to langley. Crushed OEB in every way. The Chai latte & chocolate milk was fantastic! Food was top notch! Thank you all so much. Kid-friendliness: They had nice high chairs available to use also!

Food was delicious, service was excellent, and fun. Really enjoyed ourselves.

A hidden gem and must try. Has become my favorite lunch spot. Their sandwiches and burgers are just awesome, nice combination with herb potatoes. The food quality feels like Im in a fancy restaurant in a big city but with the local friendly atmosphere. Great service!

Wonderful food and people

We found this little gem and are very happy we did. Both, my husband and I ordered omelets and frozen coffees. The portion size was more then sufficient and the quality of the food was unbeatable. Staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Definitely recommend and will be coming back when we visit Langley again!! Edit to add, we came back . 11 months later and still as good as before! Brought sone friends with us, and they also enjoyed the serving sizes and fkavors

Nice place. Was not a fan of what I ordered (beef sandwhich, which seemed to be a breaded and fried burger patty) but not the restaurants fault. Will come again and try something else as service was good and price was fair.

Hidden gem! Came here for brunch and it was amazing. Had iced lavender latte and sunken chorizo. Delicious. Service was fantastic too, Dhari provided some super comfy vibes. Definitely coming back!

Had the huevos rancheros. The dish was okay for flavour, eggs were good. The sauce was luke warm and the chorizo was cold. The potatoes were hot but way too much sauce for my liking.

We decided to make the drive to this place, mainly because it was the nearest spot offering Huevos Rancheros on a lazy Sunday at 1 PM. I had high hopes for this dish, but sadly, it fell a bit flat in the flavor department. The smoky chipotle sauce was a surprising twist that didnt quite work for me. On the bright side, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We sat on the open patio and enjoyed the sunshine while we ate. Despite my initial experience, Im definitely planning to give this place another shot and explore different dishes on the menu. Vegetarian options: You can substitute the meat in any dish

Solid food, good coffee and tea drinks. Leans spanish/mexican. Good Huevos Rancheros. The pancakes were REDICULOUSLY large but yummy.

Pretty nice to find a new place like this that is unique. Food was good and baked treats looked good. Very noisy inside however.

They said they have a great burger, they weren t kidding. Really really good.

This is a very good place to have your lunch. I have tried a few dishes and everything is delicious. Good coffee, Chicken sandwich is my favorite, Daily soup is tasty and warm for rainy days Owner is a very nice lady and her customer service is excellent.

What an amazing little find in a kind of industrial park area. The burger, pancakes, and the chicken wings were all great. As we were leaving, they even offered up some pup cups for our dogs waiting in the car!

Found this amazing bistro with the help of the sign man, and he was not wrong. Best burgers, best lattes! The food is gourmet at a reasonable price. My only issue was that I took my salad, no room left to eat it, and a curried goat dinner home, and both leaked through the cardboard containers and were inedible. Parking: It is in an industrial park so I am not sure which parking stalls belong to them.

Good and lots of serving for not too hungry customers

Saw the guy waving the Best Burgers & Lattes sign on the road for the second time & I had to investigate. Ill say the lattes are the best in town. The Burger is also a great runner-up for best burgers in the city. The pattie was well seasoned with herbs and spices, cheese melted bun was good. Ill have to continue my investigations

Drove by the friendly man with the sign countless times and finally got to try this place! The food did not disappoint - my husband got the beef burger and it was one of the best he s had. I got the fully loaded chicken quesadilla, so good I had to take leftovers home for later. The lattes were top tier and staff were friendly and efficient. We will be back forsure!

Delicious italian soup and sandwich, and amazing eggnog latte

Great newer diner in Langley. Went for brunch the other week. Great location, right near the Golden Ears for anyone north of the Fraser. Really friendly staff. The meal was great and really nice and high quality specialty coffee.

Thought we d try the bistro for Sunday breakfast! The sunken Benny was delicious, not a reg Benny however delicious. Ordered a side pancakes which was also light and yummy! Service was friendly and accommodating. Worth a visit!

Wonderful Bistro in our neighborhood, I had the veggie scramble with eggs and it was hot, fresh and delicious! Recommend a visit here, the owner Patricia is lovely she is also hiring so spread the word!

I am really glad that I tried this restaurant. I came down all the way from Vancouver and it was worth it. They have all day breakfast and good selection of other food too. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Ill be back for sure.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Everyone is so lovely, the customer service is amazing, and of course so is the food! Both times weve come here weve been amazed. The prices are reasonable for how delicious and well-made the food is. Their burger is a must-have, and their calamari is the best Ive ever had. The 2nd time we got the Chorizo Sunken Benny and Chicken Sandwich. I love how each dish seems to have a personal twist- I felt like I was trying completely new foods rather than getting basically the same thing from every other restaurant. Also, their lavender lemonade is so yummy! Cant wait till the next time we visit!

5 stars in many ways but it is pretty expensive for a little bistro. Owner was super friendly, service was good (order at counter) but otherwise table service. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Breakfast for 4 with coffees (2 were specialty, 2 were just brewed) and tip was just under $100. My only reason for not giving 5 stars. However, highly recommend.

This place blew me away. They have amazing food! I was super surprised at the quality and taste of the food for a place called The Bistro and the location, as its quite hidden. Their lattes are so so good as well. The owners are very kind and personable. I will definitely come back here as its seriously one of the best spots Ive found in all of the lower mainland.

We got the burger which was served with potato wedges and the soup which came with focaccia. Both we delicious! Staff was very friendly and food came quickly. There was a lot on the menu that we wanted to try so will be back for sure.

I go by this place frequently but finally decided to stop in on a nice sunny day. Very open and welcoming atmosphere. Busy, but not crowded. A very busy yet friendly barista was running the front end by herself. Fairly extensive menu selections for drinks and the breakfast options also seemed quite enticing. Pricing is on par with other cafés, not higher and not lower. The aesthetic is very....efficient. Its exactly as big as its needs to be. Easily accessible, good location especially on the weekend with lots of parking. I was very impressed with the quality of the drinks as well. Will definitely be returning. Update: They seem to be evolving their menu with time and I have to respect that creativity, testing and effort that goes into it. Dietary restrictions: They offer oat and almond milk for drinks. Kid-friendliness: Offered various temperature options for hot chocolate, extremely customized. Not many non-coffee drink options, but lots of kid-friendly breakfast options. Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot and Cafe are all one level. No ramps. Doors are all wide open in the summer as well.

Awesome burgers, in fact the best restaurant burger Ive ever had, and Im a burger nut. Nothing funky, just fresh with high quality ingredients. Great service, friendly staff. A real gem in Walnut Grove. Parking: Lots of parking.

We went here to meet a friend for brunch. There was a high chair available for our toddler. Service was friendly and the food was delicious! I loved the Garbanzo-Veggie Scramble and cranberry scone. My husband and toddler shared and enjoyed the French Toast. They also had cucumber and lime infused water which you can grab a cup and fill up by yourself anytime. The music wasnt too loud and it was pleasing in the background for a cafe-like atmosphere. We will definitely visit again and try their other menu items!

Extremely friendly, fantastic customer service. Food was amazing. I ordered the mac and cheese bacon sandwich, I am a very picky eater and didnt realize it had some peppers in the mac and cheese. The woman serving us noticed me picking the peppers out and asked if everything was okay. When I explained to her I didnt like peppers she promptly had me pick something else from the menu and the chef hand delivered my replacement meal. The chef was very apologetic and understanding. I ended up with the grandmas eggs and it was soooooo good. Between the service and the food this place far exceeds a 5 star review I will be definitely returning to this hidden gem and will be recommending this spot to all the other foodies in my life.
