This place seems to have the best black bean noodles in the Greater Vancouver area.
We liked the food and service, just remember the amount of food is a lot! We order a combo for two and we took more than half of it home!
We visited for dinner 🍽. We ordered 🍺 beer and Jjajang mean, Tang sooyuk, Jjam bbong and Others.. Very fresh and Delicious Very good serving 👌 Price is economy medium level.
Visiting this place regularly for many years. Very friendly staff with excellent services. Absolutely tasty/fresh food. Very crispy sweet & sour chicken which is my favorite. Definitely coming back for more!!!
portion was generous in general. I ordered a combo menu which includds Jjangmyeon, Jjambbong, and tansuyuk. I enjoyed food especially the Jjambbong. It's little far from my neighborhood, but it didn't give me a dissapointment.
I quite like the food here and the crispy pork is really crispy! As for black bean noodles, I think they put a lot more onions lately compared to my first time trying them. I like that their portions are generous and I hope it stays the way! My go to is definitely the crispy pork and they taste good even if you have leftovers and need to reheat it in the toaster oven or air fryer the next day! The spicy seafood soup is too spicy for my but my husband really enjoys it! Fried rice is also a good default item that tastes good as well and hopefully you like garlic cause some of the dishes definitely have a lot of garlic taste in it though in a good way.
Really a 3.5 star experience but the service IS very attentive and proactive. The food is ok and the JJM isn’t anything to write home about. Their gan-jja-jang has a natural wok-hei flavour but because other places amplify their wok-hei it prima facie feels less impressive. The kkan-poing-gi was addictive and delicious EXCEPT it was a low ratio of actual chicken to fried batter and meat-texture starch. Would come again, if for no other reason than your other options are a bit of a drive in any direction. Price is a bit expensive (what isn’t in Langley) around $25/person all in and service is great.
Since the apology from the owner, I have ordered sevetal takeouts as well as dined in. The service has improved and is very attentive. A female server I see all the time is very courteous and considerate. They prepare the noodle when you arrive to pick up for the freshness. Black bean noodles, spicy seafood noodle, sweet and sour pork and kung pow chicken are my family's favourite. The portions are generous and the flavours have been consistently great, but the last time I dined in, my spicy seafood noodle lacked seafood other than 1 or 2 prawn, a mussel and bits of squid. ‐-------------------------------------------‐------------- This is a Korean-style Chinese restaurant. Inside was simply decorated and the service was prompt. Food tasted okay. I've ordered a dish for a takeout and my Caucasian husband went to pick up the order. As soon as he entered the restaurant, a server told him that he must be at a wrong restaurant. That was unprofessional of the server to judge, and the attitude was very disappointing. The tangsooyook was quite dry and hard. Will not be going back.
Especially Jjambbong & service
I went to eat alone, but when I asked to change seats because of the noise of the customer sitting next to me, the look on the waitresss face... It seemed like she was looking at me as a genuine customer. If she had that mindset, she shouldnt have worked in a restaurant. And the sweet and sour pork was like a tasteless snack.
Submit Sweet and sour pork combo (family) Its delicious. There are a lot of them. What s disappointing is that the makgeolli we bought together was a little It tastes a little sour.
Ive been visiting this place for the past two years every time I want to eat Chinese, but as the days go by, not only the taste of the food but also the hygiene gets worse. Overall, I am very disappointed in all aspects, but if I had to pick a few things, 1. There is no difference between Ganjjajang and regular Jjajang. Normally, Ganjjajang is a Jjajang without soup. Chunjang is immediately stir-fried with vegetables. I ordered it 3 times and all of them had the same mushy onions and Jjajang sauce. It was obvious that they had stir-fried regular Jjajang and re-made it. . This is the same with other menus, but even if it contains three fish, it is absurd to add a few small pieces of seafood (at worst, it is no different from the regular version) and charge more. 2. The quality of takeout/in-store meals varies greatly. Because I live near Mulan, I actually prefer to eat takeout and eat comfortably at home rather than eat in the store, but the quality of takeout and in-store meals is very different. In the case of packaging, since you have to visit the store and pick it up in person, there are many cases where you have to wait for the packaging to be ready at the store. However, there are times when you receive food that is cold and of lower quality than the food ordered through a delivery app. 3. The serious taste and hygiene of sweet and sour pork First of all, the sweet and sour pork tastes very low level. Its not even at all. Every time I order it, the sweet and sour pork is not crispy, but hard and hard enough to irritate the roof of my mouth, and the smell of pork is so strong that I cant believe its freshly fried. Also, I dont know if they are using old oil or if they are frying the leftover sweet and sour pork again, but the smell of oil is strong. Recently, I didnt have time, so I packed some sweet and sour pork, and after eating it, I complained of stomachache for a day. The quality, taste, and hygiene of the food continues to decline, but the prices keep rising haha... I dont think Ill be going anymore.
Its the best in Vancouver. Its much better than most Korean restaurants.
I had black bean noodles and spicy seafood noodles with sweet and sour pork combo. The amount of food was ok but overall TOO sweet
It wasnt that great when I went before, but it wasnt!! Sweet and sour pork, jjamppong, and black bean noodles were all delicious!! The service was also good.
I live in Seatte and I drive to Mokran, Vancouver just to eat. I love their food since it reminds me of Korea. The reason why I go to Vancouver is Mokran.
Best Korean style chicken ever
The seafood soups they have are to.die for, and the customer service is absolutely great you have to try it!!!
The noodles of Jjajangmyeon were burnt.
I was worried because there were a lot of bad reviews these days, but I was very satisfied with the magnolia I visited after a long time. The sweet and sour pork had a nice sweet and sour sauce that was faithful to the basics. I also enjoyed the spicy fried rice. And of course, Magnolia is Jjamppong. There is no need for this place. It is just a place to eat Jjamppong. One of the most difficult foods to eat in Korea these days, the taste of Jjamppong is so fascinating. To be honest, I personally think magnolias weak point is the Jjajang sauce (a somewhat old style with a combination of saltiness and lightness). Even if you order fried rice, the Jjajang sauce is not tasty? its okay. All you have to do is eat the Jjamppong soup. Are you feeling greasy from eating too much sweet and sour pork? its okay. All you have to do is eat the Jjamppong soup. Jjajangmyeon is a bit plain? its okay. You can just add some Jjamppong soup and mix it with the dish. Personally, I prefer Jjajangmyeon, but at Mulan, I eat Jjamppong instead of Jjajangmyeon. Everyone, please come and eat Magnolia Jjamppong.
It was soooo good!!
This is a really delicious restaurant that I personally like.
My Go-to Korean-Chinese place in Langley. Always satisfied with their food. Service is professional and polite. I dont hesitate to recommend this restaurant to my friends.
I almost lost my tooth while eating sweet and sour pork.. I don t know if I was chewing squid or meat.. They made the batter so big that it looked like there was a lot of food The meat was dry and twisted I m not sure if I ll do it again.. Jjajang ha I just won t say anything
I took it out, but was there no starch in the original razogi, or did a lot of saliva go into it when I tried it? The liver was delicious, but the chicken was watery.
A place I often use because its close to my house. Its always good without any ups and downs. Even if I post it, it doesnt spread much. At a certain Chinese restaurant, if I bring it home, it spreads (I dont know why).
I dont want to go anymore
Spicy noodle is good!
really really nice restaurant! awesome service very cozy chilled out vibe, and the food was just amazing. would eat here again.
Actually really good. I always get it extra spicy. The chicken is fresh and tasty and crispy . Food
The food was plentiful and generally delicious, especially the kimchi, cream shrimp, and fried rice, but I dont recommend the seafood black bean noodles and sweet and sour bath.
I like eating with my family
Maybe I went there with no expectations, but the jjamppong was good too. Samseonganjjajang is also good. The store was brightly lit and there were a lot of people because it was lunch time. The food came out quickly and the staff were friendly. I think I will go again next time.
The bowl of Jjamppong was incredibly large, and there were too few noodles in it. The taste was just so-so. The Kkanpung shrimp was really delicious.
Food is good. We are returning customers. The service was nice but it was soooo hot there. Couldnt feel the AC, and the ceiling fans werent on either. They have floor fans on but it wasnt enough. Its been like this for awhile now, wonder when theyll finally get things fixed...
To be candid, Ive noticed that the food quality tends to fluctuate with each visit to this place. Despite this inconsistency, theres a certain satisfaction in being able to sample Korean-style Chinese cuisine right here in Langley. One of my best menu is KKanfunggi ( ) here.
Great fusion of Chinese and Korean, loved the spicy chicken
It was a delightful experience taking my family out to eat some Jjajjangmyun. Very good atmosphere, attentive servers, great food. Overall excellent value and fresh food
Food was really good, one of the best fried chicken I ve had. Only wish they had chicken fried rice and chicken noodle. Plus the portions were literally the best! overall a solid 8/10
I ate it a few times and passed it on, but I couldnt help but leave a review, so Im leaving it here. In the past, the sweet and sour pork was soft, the meat was thick, the quality was good, and it was delicious, but since a few months ago, the quality has dropped so much that I dont know how many times this has happened... Even when I ordered it a few times recently, the fries were as hard and crispy as snacks, and there were a lot of meat parts that were twisted and of poor quality. I thought it was just today and ordered it two or three more times. Even then, the quality was always poor. Its been a while since I ordered it again, and I dont know how they can sell it for this kind of quality when it costs $30. Half of the meat is so thin and dry and twisted, and the fries are so deep-fried that they are dry and crumble like a cookie. I cant even get a bite. Its half fried food and half meat. I think the sweet and sour pork needs to be improved... I dont know how it looks in the photo, but more than half of the food was dry and twisted, so I only ate the good parts and threw it all away. Ive been ordering here since it opened, but its changed so much.
The only Korean-style Chinese restaurant in the Langley area. The food is delicious and the location is good.
Even though I urgently asked for dine-in instead of take out, they set up the table very kindly and the taste was so good. There was plenty of noodles and seafood in the samgeon-ganjjajang, so I really enjoyed the meal. The price was reasonable, so theres nothing more to say!
Kkanpunggi...half meat, half fried food;;
You cant talk about Vancouvers best restaurants without mentioning Magnolia. The taste is great, the portions are plentiful, and the service is even good, so you can have a pleasant meal anytime and with anyone. When I think of Chinese food, I always think of magnolia! My friends who went with me all said that they had found such a delicious and clean place. How did they know? Haha. They complimented me when I came back next time, so it was an even more pleasant meal. Jjajangmyeon is really basic, but I dont think its easy for a Chinese restaurant to have exceptional jjajangmyeon, but Magnolia Jjajangmyeon is truly excellent! If you try it, you wont regret it. I recommend it.
This is a Chinese restaurant you must visit when you crave Korean Chinese food in Canada The seasoning is just right and its not too salty or too sweet, so its perfect for the Korean palate. The kids eat it very well, and the food comes out quickly, so its great for a family meal^^
-:: Review of childbirth with my own money ::- This is Magnolia Chinese Restaurant, which I found while searching for a good restaurant on a trip to Vancouver with my wife. Always challenging the crossroads of success and failure in foreign countries... I was very successful. I ordered two dishes such as sweet and sour pork and lamb skin as a side dish and finished it off with Jjajang, a Korean soup, and my wife really liked it! Im a woman who never eats anything if it doesnt taste as good as I thought... The sweet and sour pork was crispy and the sauce was just right, and I especially praised the lamb skin as the best! Jjajang has just the right amount of seasoning and has a glossy texture that makes it taste great. If I get a chance, I want to go again haha.
I was craving Chinese food so I went there because it had good reviews. Friendly and delicious. I want to visit again next time. Highly recommended if youre craving Korean-style Chinese food.
I went there with my family and the atmosphere was cozy, the menu was diverse, and the food was very delicious.
I came here because I really wanted Chinese food. There is a Mulan name in Korea, and I was looking forward to it because it was the name of a high-quality and delicious Chinese restaurant. For some reason. Its better here ^^ I went with my family and ate a variety of menu items, and the sweet and sour pork was soft and crispy. I really enjoyed the Jjajangmyeon sauce. I was worried that it might be an ambiguous place, but it tasted really good! Oh, and the Jjamppong I ordered it because it reminded me of spicy food, but be sure to try the Jjamppong too. If youre looking for family dinner or Chinese food, I highly recommend this place!!
I felt that Magnolia food was delicious, but when I compared it to the food of famous Chinese restaurants in Korea, I realized that Magnolia food was really good. Everyone working there is friendly and it makes me feel good every time I go.
Jjamppong is so delicious! I saw it while traveling with a friend, so I visited it. It had a lot of seafood, so I really enjoyed it! I also ordered sweet and sour pork, and wow, the sweet and sour pork was so delicious that I really enjoyed eating it!
We used to eat here all the time but we got food poisoning tonight we took our leftovers home and on the drive back we could smell that the chicken was rancid. Hard to tell when it arrived on the table because it s deep fried so the oil masked the smell. But my friend and I are both vomiting. The waitress was really kind during service though.
I visited because I wanted to eat Chinese food with my friends. Chinese food you can eat in Korea in Langley I was so happy to eat it~~ The taste is good, the store is clean, and the service is good. I usually dont leave a review, but I wanted to praise it, so Im leaving it here.
This is good even in Korea
If it was because there were a lot of customers, then the amateur chef... The Jjambbong is different from usual, it has a lot of salt, the Jjajangmyeon tastes like sesame oil for the first time in my life, and the Chunjang (chunjang) is fried and doesnt taste good. I thought I was going crazy while eating it. Of course, I will visit again, but only when there are no customers.
Editing my review and stars down to 2 from 5. We ordered Combo B + seafood jjajang noodle. Probably in 1~2 mins, we wanted to change our order to Friends combo B which is the most expensive combo meal. But our waitress said it is already working on it, so we cant change. I knew she was lying. I worked in the restaurant industry over 10 years, and there is no way they already started our food since many tables were waiting for their food. We didnt want to argue, so just took what we ordered at the first place. Guess what. We got combo B after 30mins, and then the waitress came and asked what jjajang we additionally ordered. It was a young waitress that Ive never seen. Ive been this place many times, and I was always happy as I reviewed previously : Always happy with their friendly service. This would not happen if it was other waitresses. Too bad. Food was not the same, but it happens when the place is busy, so I can take it. But didnt accept changing order? No. Absolutely no.
Great foods, atmosphere, and service. Exceptionally friendly host and wait staff. Very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend this place, conveniently located right off Langley. Defnitely try their decent black bean noodles and tangsuyuk!
All food and service were good. Interior decoration was a bit outdated though. Food
best in town!
Its delicious
Why dont they give me change when paying with cash? Of course, they thought it was the price of a tip and didnt give change and just looked at me with a smile... .^^ I was taking coins out of my wallet to add them to the tip jar, but they came out rolled up.
Ive been to many Chinese restaurants, but I really liked the combo menu. The taste of the lamb and the service were the best It was a busy evening, but the food came out quickly~ The lamb paste was also the best!! I think Ill definitely want to stop by every time I go to Langley.
There arent many good Chinese restaurants in Vancouver, but I think everything here is good haha. The prices are cheap too!! I think I will continue to go periodically haha.
The taste and service are good value for money. Especially the set menu I think it would be more popular if the set menu included fried rice and a half-and-half menu like in Korea.
The best Korean Chinese restaurant in Vancouver When I crave Korean-style Chinese food instead of real Chinese food, I always come here or order it via Uber. I highly recommend the kkanpunggi and sweet and sour pork. Above all, the oil is so fresh that it has a light taste that I really like even though I dont like fried foods. Its good for a drink and the quantity is generous so its good for a meal too. The amount of noodles is so large that the average woman cannot eat them all. Although it is not a home-made noodle shop, the noodles are very sticky, so if you are a noodle lover, you will absolutely fall in love with it. In particular, the Jjamppong broth has a really deep refreshing seafood flavor, so its great to eat when you miss Korea Its full of the real taste of Korea that cant be filled with ramen~ The set menu has a good discount rate, so you dont have to worry about the price even if you go and eat with your family. If you live nearby, be sure to use Uber or visit Best Korean-style Chinese restaurant in Vancouver Its not Chinese food, but when I want to eat Korean Chinese food, I always come or order by Uber. I highly recommend Kkanpunggi and Sweet and Sour Pork. Above all, the oil is so fresh that I like it even when I dont like fried food. Its good for drinks and a lot of it, so its good for meals. Most women cant eat the noodles because its a lot. Its not a homemade noodle place, but its chewy, so youll fall in love with it Especially, jjamppong broth has a deep cool seafood taste, so its so good to eat when you miss Korea!! Theres a really Korean taste that doesnt fill with ramen The set menu has a good discount rate, so there is no price burden even if you go with your family. If you live nearby, please visit Uber!! Try it!!
I went on a trip and was craving something spicy, so I stopped by. Jjajang, jjamppong, and sweet and sour pork were all delicious! I felt good because you were kind~ Thanks to you, I finished my trip well
The oil is clean and the turnover rate is good The atmosphere is nice and it s been a while since I ve been to a Chinese restaurant. After eating, I felt properly healed for the first time in a long time. The most basic Jjambbong. Jjajang. If sweet and sour pork is delicious, there is no need to mention other dishes
I really wanted to eat Jjajangmyeon, so I looked for Chinese restaurants and saw good reviews, so I decided to visit. They were friendly and the food was delicious, so I didnt regret coming. Ill have to come and eat next time with other friends.^^
Chinese food is, of course, magnolia! I went there with my family and it was cozy, the menu was diverse, and the food was delicious! Especially the Jjamppong soup and Tingsuyuk are amazing! I had a great meal today too!
There is no meat in Jjajangmyeon. If you order soy sauce, there is meat. It costs almost 15,000 won per bowl.
The portions are plentiful and the sweet and sour pork jjambong is really delicious. One of the best restaurants in Vancouver
This is the best restaurant with various delicious food with very friendly staffs :) Strongly recommend for revisit!
Kindness... next to me... The food is truly excellent. See you next week
Black bean chow mein was not to my taste
Amazing food
Sweet and sour pork is delicious. Jjajang and Jjambbong taste exactly like those from a local Chinese restaurant in Korea. soso Jjamppong is a bit spicy.
I ordered sweet and sour pork, but the sweet and sour pork came soaked in oil... As soon as I unpacked it, the sweet and sour pork was covered in so much oil that it was dripping and the bottom of the packaging container was also soaked with oil. You can see that the sweet and sour pork is shiny in the photo, right? This is my first time receiving something delivered like this and I am so shocked that I am leaving a review. I couldnt eat it and threw it all away!!!
We discovered and found Korean during our trip to Canada. We had a great time thanks to a good meal.
I really enjoyed it~~^^
Good portion. Good service. Spicy seafood noodle soup - Hard find seafood. Few baby shrimp and..... lots of onion.
Very pleasant surprise. Food is really delicious, service is super fast, food is piping hot. You can tell its a good restaurant by the small amount of items on the menu. Its clear that theyve mastered their dishes! Kid-friendliness: Accomodates everyone
Chum Churum Rich (16.45) / haemul nurungi tang (32.95) / family combo b - king po chicken + black bean noodle + spicy seafood noodle (50.95)
I like that the food is delicious and the service is friendly ^^
Very One of my familys favorite restaurants.
To be honest, since its Vancouver, I think we can still operate without closing down. Chinese food that is hard to imagine in Korea. Among the best food Ive tasted in Vancouver, its on par with Coqui Henderson. Especially Jjajang. Jjambbong is the worst of them all.
It was a meal for 3 people... but the taste was very different from usual... I go 2-3 times a month, but its a bit disappointing that the taste doesnt stay consistent... Overall, the taste and service are great, but I look forward to it once in a while. There are times when you have a completely different experience.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. Its really delicious!!!
Sweet and sour pork + Jjajang + Jjamppong combo packaging Sweet and sour pork meat is thick and delicious and smells good Jjajang meat ingredients are generous and delicious. Jjamppong is spicy and the seafood feels refreshing. Im impressed that you packaged it so well. There are so many noodles that its hard to eat them if you dont have a big container at home^^ If possible, I highly recommend picking up leftovers from the store. I enjoyed it so much!!
Dishes like sweet and sour pork and kkanpunggi are good, but the most basic jjajangmyeon is frankly tasteless.
This korean chinese place is absolutely nice. We had Family comboA. Highly recommends.
good service good food
I had good memory in here. So I visited here recently, foods taste all good and I strongly recommend the . It was really great and will definitely visit again to try other foods! Also servers were all nice and kind. Parking: good location
Magnolia is always delicious :)
Jjajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork are delicious today as well.
Always consistent taste and service. I think being consistent is the most difficult thing. May you prosper.
Ive never had soybean paste so delicious. The sauce is not enough and there is no seasoning at all. The sauce was so dry that they must have used less Chunjang... Its samseon soy sauce, 3 shrimp and 3 small pieces of squid. The rest are onions... No matter how much onion is used in Chinese food, it seems a bit harsh. Eating out is expensive, but it was a meal I regret so much.
Beautiful Awesome This is a great restaurant in Langley haha. It was still delicious today. Thank you~~~~
It is cheaper than any other korean restaurants, and tastes good and nice staff.
The food was delicious and the server was friendly ^^
Make sure you check the receipt. Price on the menu is what you pay for. Check the price on the bill before you pay. I ordered pick-up and realized they charge more when got home.
Its really delicious. And very satisfied! Parking: There is ample parking space.
I went there on the recommendation of an acquaintance since it was a city where he lived. Parking: Thanks to the large parking lot, we could easily park and eat. in Korea. Delicious Chinese food^^ Kid-friendliness: Baby chair and tableware provided when accompanying infants
Friendly atmosphere, best food
Thank you to the restaurant owner who gave me the happiest time during my trip to Canada with my brother.
Its so delicious!!!!!!!
This place is a Chinese Korean restaurant. In my opinion as Korean, foods are good and staff are kind.
Affordable and good quality. Korean-Chinese cuisine with well known menu. They have excellent customer services. I was worrying about this restaurant when it started in the beginning of the pandemic (early 2020). My concern was not only the timing, but also one of my wifes favorite menu, Jjambong, was not up to her satisfaction. She really wished to have this business going well because of the convenient location and honestly gave them comments about the quality. They listened! The food quality has been gradually improved. She was very happy about it. Now, you see how busy this place can be during the peak hours. Last Sunday lunch here with my family was good. My only complaint is that the noodle was slightly less cooked. It was not serious enough to raise a hand at that time because the food overall was acceptable. My concern is that it was a lunch time, and giving up a lesser quality during the busy hours is not a good recipe of winning business. Customers can wait to taste the best you can bring. Thats the main reason that customers visit again and again. Other than that, I wish this business the best for the sake of my family and the local community. Updated: I had dinner with another family today here. The undercooked noodle issue was resolved. Well served with delicious food. Keep it up.
Hands down, this is the best place to get Korean black bean (jajangmyun), Korean spicy noodles (jjambpong)!!! This one is a gem! We always bring the whole fam here :) Definitely try this place out. Will not disappoint. I highly recommend getting their sweet spicy deep-fried shrimp :) or chicken or pork.
There is my favorite restaurant in Canada All staff are so kind and friendly. Food quality is so good Food : 5/5
Family combo was affordable and tasty. Portion is great for the price.
Ordered from them in the last 3 times and tried different foods incl different types of jjajangmyeon and fried meat. Pleasantly surprised by their consistent food quality and taste. Always taste freshly made and I think they change their frying oil out frequently too. Will keep coming for more food.
It was my first time going, and the noodles were very chewy. If it were closer to my house, I would have gone there often or ordered it.
Its a Chinese restaurant and the portions are large and the taste is good.
The sweet and sour pork is fried in very clean oil and is crispy and delicious. The jjamppong soup is also deep and fiery. And I always eat Kkanpunggi...its always delicious.
Visited on Sunday evening with friends. Jajangmyeon was sticky and tasteless, probably because it contained too much starch. I dont want to order JJM again. Fortunately, the staff were so kind and the service was very good.
Sweet and sour pork is delicious. Jjajangmyeon is different every time. So I m a little disappointed. Still, its nice to have a delicious Chinese restaurant nearby.
Not authentic. Worst ever in Great Vancouver area. No recommend.
Food: Im very sorry I didnt take any photos, but we ordered the Friends Combo A (Tangsuyuk, King Po Chicken, and Seafood Black Bean Noodle) and then a King Po Shrimp. The Tangsuyuk was quite good - there were lots of vegetables and the pork was crunchy but also not dry. The sauce was sweet and sour; just your usual tangsuyuk, nothing special. The King Po Chicken was decent - definitely not the best that I have had before. The vegetables in the King Po Chicken and the King Po shrimp seemed like they were the frozen veggies from green giant (the ones with carrots, peas, and corn). The King Po shrimp was very very starchy - I would say more than 50% of the pieces were made of starch and the rest was shrimp. The Black Bean Noodle was... interesting. The noodles were very stringy and rubbery - almost like glass noodles. The black bean flavour is very very faint; I dont know if I personally would be able to call it a black bean noodle dish. Have had much better before. Service : You usual service; nothing special. Atmosphere: They decorated the place for Christmas and Christmas music was playing! The interior was clean and spacious.
I enjoyed the nurungji stew, but it contained too much constanzi and was bland, and the soy sauce was bitter because the onions were not cooked properly. Its such a shame... I used to be a regular, but the taste gets worse as time goes by... Has the owner changed?
I don t think there is a Chinese restaurant like this around here!!! It tastes so good and the price is reasonable! Meanwhile, the service was so good that I had a pleasant meal :) From now on, whenever I crave Chinese food, I think I will only visit this restaurant!!!!!
The (black bean noodle) is too sweet. All the items ordered seemed to be on the sweeter side. Would prefer more of a savoury taste than a sweet one. Update: Thank you for your reply! And your consideration of improvement!! 5 Stars for that!
Went for dinner. Servers were very kind and the food arrived quickly. Had the black bean noodles, spicy seafood soup, and fried rice. Everything was great;
Great restaurant, great staff, very polite, tasty food. We had a great experience overall.
Amazing food. Authentic . Friendly service and fast even when busy. 4.5 stars for me.
Very disappointed with their food and service. Went there around 7:30pm as my friend heard good things about the restaurant. Tangsuyuk and King Po Chicken were ok. However, Black Bean Noodles and Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup were very bad (the pics in the review look 10X better). And we had to wait about 45 minutes after order. My son left half of Black Bean Noodles as well as his friend. This is first time seeing my son not finishing his Black Bean Noodles. The servers didnt even come to our table to check if we needed anything until we complained. They blamed that they were busy but I disagree since there were only 2 or 3 other tables after 8pm. And two servers were busy talking to each other facing away from our table. Overall, it was great disappointment for me.
I went to Mulan with my daughter to have dinner after work. It was around 6:30. There was a long wait of 30 minutes and there were too many people in the store and it was hectic. But as time passed, we sat down. Originally, it was cold noodles. We went to eat, but it was a bit chilly that day, so my daughter ordered binnaeng and I ordered jjamppong rice. The first time I ate it, I didnt like the first taste, but well, I just ate it, but in the middle, something came out. I told the server what was going on, and he said, Sorry, Ill try it again, but we dont make it. But after 2-3 minutes, it came out very quickly. Did I do it first because I was sorry? My thoughts. But after eating, I now have 2-3 small noodle strands. I immediately put down the spoon and didnt eat it. I told the lady again. It was Jjamppong rice, but the noodles came out, so I tried it again, but the noodles came out again. The person said, Im sorry, but we dont do jjamppong. What is this? In general, if you dont boil the noodles, isnt it normal to throw away what you took when the noodles first come out and boil them again? My family often went to Magnolia to think of it as having a good image, but this time we were very disappointed. The way they responded was not that great. They only emphasized that they did not make a fuss... It was a day that made me doubt whether that was really the case.
It was nice to be able to taste the same taste as the Jjajangmyeon I had in Korea.
My favourite Korean-Chinese restaurant in Langley. It is quite far from my area but Ive tried here and cannot go to any other Korean-Chinese restaurant. The servers and owner are so nice and have good customer service they are always listening and focusing on what the customer needed. Always happy and thankful in this restaurant. The food was amazing. Just try it. And you will like it.
From combo A black bean noodle was too salt and noodle was so soggy. Tast like salt and soggy noodle. Wouldnt be there again. Wasteful money
The sweet and sour pork loin is very good, a new way of eating, and the portion is super large. It is available on almost every table in the restaurant. Children who don t usually like to eat pork are full of praises. Mapo tofu rice is so delicious, a little different from the authentic Mapo tofu but very delicious. I ordered fried rice for my children, which was large and rich in content and very nutritious.
The food is delicious and the servers are friendly. Especially the freshly fried sweet and sour pork is the best.
Do not eat here. I have ordered few foods through uber eat today and I could not believe how cheap they were. They use as little food as possible. I can t believe i have paid 60 dollars for my orders. HORRIBLE
They fall off. They are using minimum everything. Horrible place. Do not eat here. I will never order from here again
Because it was summer season, I was craving cold noodles, so I ordered watercress and picked it up. It was only 5 minutes away from home, but when I tried to eat it as soon as I got there, it was already swollen. Maybe its because the noodles are thin, but shouldnt they have added broth separately like Jjajangmyeon sauce? There is no soup.
The noodles were soggy. Taste wasnt good.
The sweet and sour pork smells very much like pork. Completely ruining a pleasant evening. I wonder if they are handling the meat properly... I threw away the sweet and sour pork right away.
I had the sweet and sour pork combo, but the black bean noodles smelled like tap water and the jjamppong ramen. Did the chef change because it wasnt always what you eat? When I asked, he said that the chef was there and Manager Moon did it. There is a chef who cooks the food, but he has to check the taste before serving the food, but todays food was the worst.
I recently moved from Victoria and toured a few restaurants. Among them, my friends recommended magnolia, so I went to eat it. First of all, I liked the sweet and sour pork because the batter was thin, crispy, soft, and had no meaty smell at all, and I was impressed by the rich and generous portion of the jjamppong soup. Ive been here a few times and tried different types of food, and both the Kkanpunggi and Seafood Nurungjitang were absolutely delicious. The servers are friendly and the prices are cheaper than other places, so I think I will use it often.
Delicious and cheap Other Chinese restaurants are based on the Sweet and Sour Pork Jjajang Jjamppong combo. While the price is around $50, They give you a quantity of magnolias for about $40 that makes you wonder what this is. The taste is not inferior at all. If you live near Langley and are craving Chinese food, There seems to be no reason not to go.
Fried foods (sweet and sour pork, kkanpunggi, etc.) are very delicious and the jjamppong is also good. But its a shame that the taste of jjajang comes and goes more often than before. I wish you would pay more attention to the Jjajang sauce^^ Its like adding more starch to the little Jjajang sauce left and serving it...
Best restaurant. Food is fantastic & service is very kind.
Im so glad theres a Chinese restaurant in Langley. Homemade cold noodles are excellent. Some places charge extra money if you ask for mixed noodles with cold noodles. I added bibim sauce to the cold noodles for free and it was sour and delicious. Because Jjambbong is a signature Since this is a must-have menu item, there was a lot of it, so I left some sweet and sour pork to take away. I enjoyed the rich and authentic magnolia. And the radish radish kimchi that they make themselves. Rice thief haha it was so delicious
I found short thick and curly hair(I dont want to know where its from) stuck in fried porks batter. Called the waitress and showed her... She said sorry and went to talk to the manager. Came back and offered fried dumplings on the house, but weve ordered quit enough food already and by then I totally lost my appetite, so I refused. I didnt wanna pay for the fried pork, but they charged me for everything! Ive been to many restaurants and had some issues before, but it all depends on how its dealt with. I dont think I will ever go back here. BTW~ The black bean noodle was so bad as well!
The portions are large and always delicious. You packaged it neatly too.^^ Even when eating in the restaurant, they are always friendly and make you feel good.
Clean, friendly and delicious.
This is a magnolia that everyone in my family likes. My younger brother says this is the best Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. The food is plentiful and tastes good. Last time, the cream shrimp batter was a bit thick and hard. Still, its nice to have a delicious restaurant nearby.
Chow mein was excellent
Its not complicated and the food is top quality. Sweet and sour pork is fried with vivid color and crispy, probably because the oil is changed frequently.
it is delicious. I happened to find this restaurant, but it s a good restaurant. Im going to eat again with my mom. Ill try a different menu then.
Magnolia s kkanpunggi was so delicious that I often ordered it via Uber these days. I am really very disappointed with the Kkanpunggi that arrived today.. More than 60-70% of the meat is dry and dry, or the batter is only mixed with seasoning, and when you chew it, there is really no meat inside.. I ordered it last time, less than a week ago. Knowing what Kkanpunggi was like, all I could think of today while eating it was that they used a mix of fresh and not-so-fresh chicken. The Kkanpunggi was especially delicious, so I introduced it to many people around me, but after today s Kkanpunggi, I don t think I ll order it again.
Very friendly and delicious But these days, when I take out Jjajangmyeon, one piece is so mushy that it s hard to eat. The sweet and sour pork is too hard. Please improve!
Always pleasant service. Decent food. Although some days are better than others.
Compared to other Chinese restaurants, the prices are cheap and the portions are generous for the price. Sweet and sour pork, cream shrimp, lamb skin, Jjamppong, seafood nurungji stew, and Samseon soy sauce are delicious
Friendly place and delicious
It s delicious compared to other restaurants!! I went there around 1 o clock.. During busy times, do they prepare noodles in advance and when orders come in, do they boil them slightly and then add them to the jjamppong??? The soup is very hot The noodles stay cold...
We are grateful that Magnolia, Magnolia, and Herae flowers exist in Western Canada.
There is some confusion about what type of food this place serves across Yelp, Google and Trip Advisor Came here because almost all searches said that this is a place for Chinese food - IT IS NOT ! This place serves Korean Food ONLY.. Menu items are Korean like Fried Chicken, Soju, Spicy Seafood soup, and more.. Ordered the Spicy Seafood soup and Rice combo. The rice came in the smallest bowl possible and the Seafood Soup was mostly onions and some cabbage with VERY little quantity of shrimp, octopus and some type of fish.. Prices on the menu are steep and for a first timer, thinking that this is listed as Chinese Food everywhere, the choices one can make are limited.. This place IS a hit with the Korean Clientele because everyone else sitting there was Korean The service was good - no doubt about that.. Highly doubt that i would come back here
A family of 6 for an early lunch today. Visit Mulan Jjamppong rice 3, Jjamppong rice 2, Samseon Jjajang 1 I ordered it, but there was too little seafood... I feel like Ive lost my original intention...
The fried rice is not very tasty. The jjajang that came with it was either jjajang or jjajang, but I didnt eat it after just one bite. At least the jjamppong soup was average. Its amazing to see that they make and sell fried rice that is worse than the simple fried rice they make at home. I think Jjajangmyeon is the best in Vancouver. I think the Ottogi jjajang sold at the supermarket is better. It would be nice to have a proper Chinese restaurant here too. They said they learned it from Chwihong and opened it, but it doesnt seem like they can get anywhere near it. If you run a business without learning Chinese food for a few years, its bound to be a mess. Im imitating it like a parrot. Its similar to the smell of sweet and sour pork. I come here because I have nowhere to go.
Delicious and friendly! Especially the kkanpunggi is delicious :)
It was delicious :) I think I will be a regular in the future~ Not only was the food great, but the servers were friendly!
Its delicious, I recommend it
Its a delicious restaurant. They are friendly and the jjamppong soup is refreshing and delicious. Overall, the broth tastes really good.
standard korean chinese restaurant. wont be disappointed but nothing extraordinary
My son, who likes fiery Jjamppong, and my husband, who likes soybean paste, come here sometimes when they miss Korean food.
