We take great pride in creating fresh crafted food, made from local ingredients that respects the same traditions an attention to detail that goes into the making of our wine. Experience a break from the everyday with the Bacchus Bistro at Chaberton Estate Winery, in the heart of the Fraser Valley.
Strongly recommend the Coq au Vin! Although I have never been disappointed with anything on the menu. The quiche was the best I have ever tasted and the French onion soup also was fantastic. Not to mention the desserts. Thank you for lovely experiences. Joan
Amazing little hidden gem. Today we were there first time. Loved it!
First time here and definitely not the last time. Food, service and atmosphere was 1st class.👍
This place was a hidden gem and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t visited sooner. My fiancée and I sat on the lovely patio adjacent to the winery and grape vines. The weather was perfect for late September and it made the patio the ideal place for dinner. We both ordered soup to start, I got the creamy tomato with grilled prawns and my fiancée had the French Onion. My soup was great but the French Onion was next level. You could taste the hint of red wine in the broth and the cheese was delicious! For the entrees, I got the special which was a fresh pan roasted halibut with a creamy saffron clam sauce and bak choy accompanied by these rich and creamy potatoes that were similar to scalloped potatoes. The halibut was perfectly cooked and the sauce was outstanding and paired excellent with the dish! Our server was amazing and did everything needed to keep our drinks full and ensure we had all we needed. I wish I had got the servers name, as she was outstanding (she had a pink tie on?) and definitely deserves high praise! I will %100 be back to this place and can’t wait for the new specials! Thanks for a great experience Bacchus Bistro!
Such a lovely gem in Langley! Come early (or make a reso) for the patio because it’s a lovely space beside the vineyard. Service was friendly and appropriate (no one hovering or ignoring us). Menu items were delicious. Rosé was excellent. Salad was good. Stuffed crepes were simple but delicious. Chicken dijionaise and the scalloped potatoes it came with was good but really saucy (be mindful may be a little heavy for a summer entree.
Baachus Bistro in Langley is a culinary gem that offers a perfect blend of great atmosphere and delightful food. From the moment you step in, the ambiance sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. To start, my wife had the French onion soup was a rich and comforting delight, with a deep, savory broth and perfectly melted cheese. I had the spinach beet salad was a refreshing palate cleanser, featuring fresh ingredients and a balanced dressing. For the main course, I had the Steelhead trout was cooked to perfection, with a tender, flaky texture and a subtle, flavorful seasoning. My wife had the Rack of Pork which was another standout, juicy and tender. The scalloped potatoes were the ideal side, creamy and decadent, pairing well with both main dishes. The meal concluded with a spectacular blueberry crumble topped with ice cream. The dessert was the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and the ice cream added a creamy finish that was utterly satisfying. Overall, Baachus Bistro excels in every aspect, from the inviting atmosphere to the exquisite dishes. It's a must-visit for anyone in Langley area looking for an exceptional dining experience.
I took my fiance here for her birthday. The overall experience was great! If I had one critic it would be that the hostest that took out reservation could use a class on phone etiquette. When I called to make the reservation she was very cold, abrupt and sounds like she had better things to do. I also had to check that I had the right number because she answered the phone with a "Hello?". We didn't let that minor encounter of phase us much of the delightful experience of dinning here! Our waitress was amazing, courteous and attentive without being too intrusive. We sat on the patio. Highly recommend getting there early so you can get a seat out in the patio so you can enjoy the beautiful vineyard view the restaurant has to offer. The food was amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We had a big breakfast not too long before we came so we weren't too hungry. I wish we showed up hungry so we could order more food. They start you off with complimentary bread and butter. We ordered the lobster dip to start and it was amazing. I recommend saving some of your bread for the dip We shared the sablefish dish between the two of us. It was juicy tender and flaky one of the best Sable fish dishes I've ever had. It came out with a about $20 worth of saffron and the sauce complimented the fish well. The fish came with a large complimentary side dish of scalloped potatoes which was rich and aeromic. I also ordered an alcoholic coffee, I can't recall the name of the item but it had some sort of Sea foam and brittle on top. It was delectable and I would order It again in a heartbeat. We also bought a bottle of wine to share between the two of us. All in all the experience was great. The ambiance was amazing and the service was great and the food is high-end.
Great restaurant with very friendly staff and good food. Everything was delicious and service was very personal and attentive. We will be back!
Food was presented perfectly service was excellent prices reasonable i was actually surprised and the quantity more than I expected clean and inviting environment
Reservation is recommended. Good service and nice place, but nothing exceptional. Food well prepared and tasty. The bathrooms are external and shared with the winery store and Bistro, approximately 15 to 20 meters away. If youre going to pair it with local wines, you might want to stop by the store first and try it out. Parking: Its the winerys parking lot, so there are plenty of spaces, but on sunny days and holidays it can fill up. Kid-friendliness: There is an outdoor space in front of the winery that children can use. The Bistro is limited and has restricted space, both inside and on the external balcony.
A Delightful Evening at Bacchus Bistro Every visit to Bacchus Bistro feels like a special occasion. Nestled in the heart of Domaine de Chaberton, this charming spot has quickly become one of my favorite dining destinations. The ambiance is simply enchanting. With its cozy, elegant decor and stunning vineyard views, it s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a lovely evening. The staff are always so warm and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Now, let s talk about the food it s absolutely divine! The portions are generous, and every dish is a delightful journey of flavors. I can t get enough of their Duck Confit; it s cooked to perfection and just melts in your mouth. The Beef Bourguignon is another must-try, rich and savory, and pairs wonderfully with their exquisite house wine. What I love most about Bacchus Bistro is their commitment to using fresh, local ingredients. It really makes a difference in the taste and quality of the dishes. I love their Bacchus house wines, they are my favorite. Whether you re celebrating something special or just want a lovely night out, this bistro promises an unforgettable experience with delicious food, wonderful wine, and impeccable service. I will continue going back as this place is on my top 10. Kid-friendliness: The one time our son joined us he enjoyed the experience and the staff were very attentive with him even at such a young age. Lovely grounds too while wandering about waiting for your booking.
Lovely setting, good service and the lunch was delicious. They use white table cloths, and that makes it feel so classy.
Make sure you know they are open before coming. Just drove an hour and was told they are closed today.
Great value. Food was excellent, and well worth the cost. Ambiance could have been better suited to the quality of the food and service excellence. Focus on furniture, flooring, privacy and lighting.
Great food and a great server. We will go again, hopefully we can be on the patio next time.
Good, not great. Service could have been better. A large group soaked up the servers attention. I found the menu limiting and my dish to be underseasoned. The protein portions were quite generous.
Great food and excellent service. A relaxed dining experience. Excellent wine selection from the on-site Chaberton Winery. Vegetarian options: Salads with various meat options. Parking: Lots of outdoor parking right onsite. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs.
Visiting Bacchus Bistro was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the charming ambiance and impeccable service. The food surpassed all expectations, especially the duck dish I ordered. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing a delightful variety that left me thoroughly impressed. Its not just a meal; its an experience worth savoring.
Fantastic food, amazing ambiance, awesome service definitely would recommend to friend.
Great food, you can actually disconnect and enjoy the calmness of the place
Very delicious food, wine and excellent service. Food was served in a timely manner. Will be returning here soon.
Great food and service. Always an enjoyable experience.
Would like a Argentina or Chilian wine.
Fantastic food, great service, excellent ambiance!
Exceptional food. Ambience and service not on par with food.
The most standout, exceptional facet of our dinner was the atmosphere and beautiful backdrop of the vineyard from the patio. Truly special place, absolutely lovely. The service was also very good and attentive; we could tell the team supported eachother very well and it was an excellent flow. However, after the delicious bread and whipped butter, our mains arrived with much disappointment. Having had similar dishes elsewhere (Beef Bourguignon and Chicken Dijonnaise) we were transported into a kitchen nightmare from 1998. Both dishes presented as if meat were boiled in a flavourless clear-based soup, accompanied by very small-diced garnish (which should have been a lovely array of roasted whole veggies); everything was extremely bland and rather unpalatable. Even the potatoes au gratin were translucent and flavourless, likely due to the preparation seeing how much water was splitting with the cream. Very gross. The menu needs a remodel for sure. Perhaps lunch *could* be better if there was a different kitchen team on. One would hope, it has so much more potential to be really extraordinary and something special for the area. A little hotspot for the wine community.
Highly recommended to visit, best french restaurant
Excellent food excellent wine and excellent service. More beautiful in the spring to fall but the food stays the same for the most part year round so you can try everything.
Wonderful date night venue!
Fantastic food but beware, large portions... My onion soup was fantastic but it was twice the amount I thought it would be... My chicken dijonaise was excellent but quite the large portion again. Then they brought the side of scalloped potatoes, large as well. All good in the end as I had leftovers for lunch the next day. My wife was the smart one. She had a salad to start and an appetizer as her main...
I live coming here for dinner. My go to appetizer is the prawns in the tomato sauce. Im just slightly disappointed that the prawns are half the size now. Mine were not prawns they were little shrimp. It still tasted awesome, and the short rib never disappoints
Well, it was for a Valentines Day celebration with four other couples. The waitress was amazing and the interior of the restaurant seemed lovely but I was in a corner facing the wall so I couldnt see much of the decor. I ordered the Beef Bourguignon for dinner since I have never tried it before. I was disappointed with it but it was my own fault as I should have had the special, Halibut...the flavour of the beef was good but it tasted dry to me even though there was lots of gravy/sauce. What I really enjoyed besides seeing my friends was the little tray of scalloped potatoes served with our dinners, they were so yummy but I wish there were more of them... The wine we had was very tasty, a house Red. I need to go again to try something else because the menu is varied and the appetizers my friends had looked yummy, like the French Onion soup. Also the desserts looked very tasty too but I didnt have one, sadly, my bad. I did have a coffee which was very good!
duck leg confit (36) / lamb shank with spices (37)
Due to gift card given, we were forced to use and to our surprise, discovered a gem in the valley. Food, service and pampering at max level and never felt out of place as our usual budget dictates other Mom/Pop establishments. A must even without a gift card
The winery no longer has the same enthusiasm as before. Maybe there are too many people tasting wine.
My moms Favourite place to get wine
Beautiful restaurants surrounded by vineyards. The food was very good and I like their wine too. Totally worth the drive during a sunny Sunday, dont forget to do the wine tasting as well!
The food is awesome and the service is even better!
Amazing food, amazing wine, amazing service!!! Dietary restrictions: My wife is Celiac and they had options for just about everything. Food : 5/5 |
We were here today for my father-in-law s birthday. The restaurant was nice and very accommodating of our 10 month old baby. The service was excellent. The important thing is that he had a great celebration and for that we are thankful for the experience. My biggest complaint is that the vegetarian options were too limited and for that reason I wouldn t go back. For people who eat meat, they enjoyed their dishes. Overall, I did not. The cheese tart that was part of the appetizer was tasty -the cream cheese was a little heavy but the pastry was well made. Unfortunately, my main dish, the butternut squash just felt like I was eating mush/pie filling. It lacked the right mix of texture. It was honestly like I was eating baby food. It would have been delicious in a pie with some crust or something to complement the softness. For me, it was just not a balanced dish and is not an acceptable vegetarian option. I believe the only other options would have been a quiche or an omelette -again, not entirely great options for vegetarians (definitely not a place for someone who is vegan). It would be great if they could have something savoury with nice texture and flavour that isn t heavily reliant on eggs and cheese. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse and my husband had the lemon tart, the tart was much better than the mousse. Lastly, I also wish the washrooms were more connected to the bistro. Walking outside in the rain to it was less than ideal. Overall, a great little restaurant for people who enjoy meat and cheese heavy cuisine -not a good place for anyone who wants to eat anything truly innovative and out of the box.
Our server was very sweet, for her I d give 5 stars. The food however was god awful. For an appetizer we ordered the onion tart which was barely decent and literally 2 bites for $17 and then we got the main . Me and my mother shared a chicken panini and both of us felt sick after leaving. The chicken had a super weird ball of rubbery meat in the middle of it and even the normal looking meat tasted old and artificial. We went there years ago but haven t been back because the first time was awful and unfortunately had another experience with just horrid food. I actually thought I was going to be sick after eating it so as a safety precaution I would stay away.
Great food. Great place. Great service. But you have to go outside to another building to access a bathroom. Which would suck if it was raining
Went there for a Ladies Lunch. Excellent food and Service.
We were seated at a make shift table that was outside of the covered patio area. It was a hot afternoon and we scorched. Food and wine were pretty good, could not enjoy.
Wine excellent, bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with your flight or bottle of wine in garden. Found food(dinner) excellent. Food
Went to celebrate hubby s bday and had a fabulous meal. The food was superlative, the service stellar and we even took more soup to go . Excellent. Food
Had a fantastic Bachelorette wine tasting here. Afterwards thenstaff was able to get us a table on the lawn so we could enjoy some of their delicious wine. The staff was very knowledgeable in their descriptions of the wine. It was an overall fantastic experience.
A hidden Gem in the Fraser Valley, we not so much anymore. Fine dining and absolutely fantastic
If you have a chance, this is a place to go. Wine, food, and service were top-notch. This is the perfect place for a light lunch or filling meal. Caution to the mobility impaired. While it is accessible, the washrooms are not in the restaurant but along the walk to the entrance. Food
We landed on a day when the restaurant was closed, however there were plenty of tables with shade in the center courtyard. They had choices of chips, salsa, other add ons that went well with our wine flights. The wine was wonderful and lots of variety to choose from.
I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor in the butternut squash dish I had. Our group was all satisfied with the food and service.
The restaurant next to the Wine Shop offers fine dining. The food is delicious, the ingredients are good, the food design is exquisite, and the staff is friendly.
Delicious food for the most part (the mushroom starter was delicious), quick and friendly service. Lovely atmosphere on the outer patio as well.
Last month we took some guests from Austria to Bacchus Bistro. They have a well known family winery in Austria and we thought they might enjoy the Canadian winery experience, as this was their first visit. The gentleman said that this was exactly how he imagined Canad to be! Just the right amount of refined, yet relaxed. The staff was very professional, but also engaging. They felt very much at home and really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.
Didnt eat. But the tasting was fun and liked that we could go outside
Good meal, excellent pricing....
Secretly hidden away place to enjoy time. Reminds me of my home right by grapes steps away. Servers are great and professional. Dining outside or inside, both are great for intimate dining with good friends.
By far the best meal Ive had in years! I had a halibut dinner with an amazing sauce, highly recommend!
I had the duck, and it was cooked to perfection...crispy skin, and meat was so tender, and the scalloped potatoes it comes with are creamy and very tasty. I love sitting outside on the patio with the grapevines. We had a very enjoyable lunch and the service was fantastic.
My meal was very disappointing. The crepes were dry - where was the mornay sauce? My salad didnt have any dressing on it.
Their Fraser Valley Duck Leg Confit and Chicken Dijionaise are really good! Tried to booked the patio for our group but they dont allow reservations though so 2 stars for Atmosphere!
Food was ok. Service was ok. Food lacked flavor and service lacked quality. Dont wrap a cloth around your wines, then let your guests pour. I was told the scallop potatoes were unreal. They tasted like cream. We arrived excited and left not so much
Ml
Very good experience. Group 4- course set menu meals are a very good value and delicious. Great place for a special occasion or a Christmas party. Wine is very good! Good quality, lovely atmosphere without being pretentious.
Great food and nice location for a quiet dinner or special occasions. Food did take a bit of time to come out (we were a party of 10) but I highly recommend the experience of wine tasting and dining here. Ill be returning.
Vegetarian options: One person was vegan and was delighted with the vegan option. Food
The atmosphere was very cozy. The food was fantabulous and exceptional. A hidden
Enjoy having brunch here.
If you like wine this the place you want to have your lunch or dinner.
Hidden Gem! Fabulous food and great service. Enjoy your meal with one of their delicious wines.
Best duck I ve ever had
The food was great! It s just the atmosphere has changed! So loud, especially the table beside us. We were surprised the fact that the waitress didn t even say anything. They were extremely loud. We dined before and it was so nice and very decent that you can have a conversation. Not this visit though. We were quite disappointed.
Fantastic place. Delicious food.
Just an amazing place to eat. The French Onion is to die for!! Ive never had an average meal here. My late mother loved Bacchus so much!
Nice atmosphere and friendly service
Great place for lunch.
Very cute place to come for lunch and wine! Had the ling cod and mussels. Both were tasty and beautifully presented. I believe the fish came with scalloped potatoes as well. We had their house wine with lunch and it was delicious. The server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back!
Wonderful lunch with my dear love. This was our third time dining at Bacchus. I enjoyed a glass of luscious Madelaine Sylvaner with rich mushroom soup and tasty mussels while my husband enjoyed the liver pate and onion soup. Diners were seated suitably far apart with plexiglass dividers to add to safety. Service was friendly and prompt, but not rushed. Highly recommend.
Great food and excellent service in a scenic vineyard setting. Five stars across the board!
Character, food and service 10/10!
Lovely experience dining on the patio by the vineyards. The food was top notch, prices are reasonable and the wine is amazing. Very professional service and atmosphere and I felt comfortable.
Food and experience were wonderful, as we expected.
A delightful visit with friends to Chaberton winery, and a tasting flight in the sun. Excellent wines!
Got the absolute royal treatment from the wonderful Judy today for my mums birthday lunch. The food was spectacular and the service was so warm and personal despite them being rather short staffed. Nothing but great things to say--she was right about the wine choice as well!!
Wonderful day w amazing flights of wine that is offered now, so we took our flights outside to enjoy the sun, picnic tables and a lovely afternoon. Reservations are necessary for dinner, which was so delicious. Had the fresh in season Halibut w a rich creamy sauce and scallop potatoes w incredible Chardonnay and Meritage Red. The Service was excellent, well received attentive, and fun.
Perfect spot for a picnic with delicious local wines!
This place is amazing! Everything they make is delicious and the service is incredible!
Great food, great wine and amazing staff made our dinner event memorable.
This is my favourite restaurant, in part, because it is quiet. You can carry on a conversation with your table, no loud music is blasting, the food and wine are excellent and the staff is lovely.
Wonderful food and excellent service - worth the drive!
Pros: Food is perfection, ambiance is sophisticated yet cozy. Hospitable servers. Cons: Appetizers are mouth-watering but not good value for money; however, the entrees are. Bathrooms are undesirable: dated, dont suit the restaurant, and toilets do not flush entirely despite holding the handle down. Tip: Book a reservation ahead of time as this establishment is in high demand.
Wonderful local place to dine. Superb food and service. I love going there.
I came here to catch up with a friend I hadnt seen for 48 years, so to be honest, we werent focused on the food. We were pleased there was outdoor eating patio, post COVID and took a table in a corner. The service was efficient and discreet, interrupting only as required to move things along. The food was tasty and of a good but not huge proportion. The wine was excellent and dessert of lemon tart was delicious. Bathrooms are bright and clean. As we had finished our meal, but werent quite ready to leave, we sat at an outdoor picnic table after leaving the restaurant to continue our catch up. A small concession space outside to sell soft drinks, water or tea/coffee could be a profitable addition. It was a great location for a reunion. Pleasant and enjoyable.
Love it
Always a great visit. Delicious wine, consistently yummy and fresh food, and attentive and welcoming service. Also a beautiful setting. A favourite for sure.
The four of us agreed the best food weve had in a long time. Gorgeous location, within the winery. The service was excellent, provided by Rylan, who gave just the right amount of attention, which allowed us to relax and visit.
What an amazing experience. The duck confit was exceptionally tasty
Staff and food exceptionl
Excellent cuisine and ambience.
Food and service were very good. Definitely would go back.
Most enjoyable afternoon with wine tasting selection prior to having lunch . The lunch menu was very good indeed, staff were excellent and very friendly, definitely worth a visit ,not to be missed.
Yesterday we dined at your restaurant for 3 very special birthdays as we read reviews and they were all very glowing. I must say it was one of the worst experiences ever. It totally ruined our special days. While 2 old our meals were tasty, the third meal which was your special , the charcuterie board was absolutely abysmal. For $18.00, we got 8 pieces of what looked like the left over meat and a wee dollop of cheese. Not enough to feed a child. It was served on a big white plate , which drove home the absurdity of the meal or apply. Whatever it was suppose to be. It feels like a big rip off or a licence to steal money. We should have sent it back or spoken to the manager, but were so shocked at this as were all the people around us, we were too embarrassed to send it back. Will never set foot in this restaurant again and will find every place I can to relay our experience. How disappointing! You should be ashamed of yourselves. I m sure others have had good experience there, but that certainly was not ours!
Last time visited this winery long time ago. Dont know what happened, but wine tasted better when previous owners where there .
Lovely Bistro! Great menu choices & wine pairings. We had an afternoon brunch & really enjoyed our experience. We choose the Halibut lunch special that is served with their scalloped potatoes. A home run.
Great service
This is a lovely bistro, fine dining experience. The location at the winery is gorgeous, with indoor and outdoor patio seating. White tablecloths and a nice view, this is a great date spot. The service was excellent, staff were knowledgeable and informative. Vegan and gluten free options available, and the food is fantastic. Really tasty, reasonably priced, given the venue. The wine options are excellent, as you would expect.
Excellent!!!!
What a fabulous experience!! The location is beautiful, all of the staff are wonderful and offer excellent service, there is a wide variety of wines to choose from, and the food is delicious and prepared with care!! I have eaten here three times now and will definitely be back many more!! What an awesome dining experience, thank you!!
Beautiful atmosphere food was good
Good selection of meals and choices for a vegetarian as well. Service was excellent as was the food!
Upscale dining. Delicious food and wine
OK but nuot as good as it used to be and a bit pricey
Phenomenal! Went to Bacchus for a birthday celebration and had the most amazing Waitress and the food was divine
Inside or outside dining, good varied menu, excellent wait staff, excellent food
Good food friendly staff.
Great food and wine
Great place for tasting. Nice personel and knowledgeable
I mean what more could you ask for? Not only is the atmosphere quiet, sophisticated, and beautiful. But the food is an absolute star. You will not find fresher or better prepared options this side of the river. Personal recommendations are their muscles and escargot. Those alone warrant a trip out here as soon as possible. Top it all off with absolutely delicious wine selections from their vineyards and you can make an afternoon just enjoying yourself on the patio.
such a beautiful place to eat dinner and the staff is very polite and pleasant to be around. the food is always cooked and seasoned perfectly!
We did a wine flight on a sunny Monday afternoon. Ed, our host, was very knowledgeable and shared his passion with some great wines. Would recommend a visit for those in the area
Loved it! Great variety of menu options, service and locale.
Amazing experience! My very first visit was before COVID and I was amazed how tasty our food was. This time we were celebrating my friends birthday and I was little nervous because: A) it was my idea B) as we all know - the quality of many restaurants went down.. Well, I wasnt disappointed! The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, the customer service is outstanding! We were welcomed by all staff, we never felt rushed or ignored. Special thank you to our lovely Hungarian/Canadian waitress (im sorry i forgot your name), she was always checking on us, offering us more wine or just to make sure we have everything we need. We were seated on the patio, it was so cozy and so pretty - it felt like we were somewhere in Italy or France. The bottom line is: this is not just a restaurant, this is an experience! Go, enjoy and thank me later!
Food was delicious I sat beside the fireplace and enjoyed the warmth.
WOW - the food was outstanding!! And so many gluten free options, what a treat!! Dietary restrictions: A new place for me to eat, with so many gluten free options. Hurray!!
Nice but pricey
Great food and amazing service.
Great location, very nice atmosphere for fine dining. Appies were tasteful and flavorful. Rib eye steak was very good although quite tough.
Great place to enjoy a glass of wine.
Wasn t thrilled with our waiter s service. Food was quite average. Expected more from this place.
Busy and tables were close, and many large groups at the same time. Noise level made it not a five star atmosphere. Food was delicious but it took more time to come than usual Food
Very nice place
Great location and the wine is good
Wonderful service, great food, and warm friendly atmosphere. What a hidden gem. More people need to know about this place!
Great food and service
First time there!!!!!!! Won t be our last!!!!! Food was fabulous, portions were very generous. Service was amazing!!!!!!! Our waitress Judy was top notch!!!! Highly recommend this establishment!!!!
Good food. Portions quite generous. Prices very reasonable.
We had rib eye it was like leather. The chef should be discussed within quality. We could not eat it. We told that s why it was taken off the menu. We won t be back .
Fresh , delicious food, great service. You need a reservation, even for lunch.
It is well worth the cost, food is delicious and the Bachus wine is awesome
You expect good food and service in a place like this, but they go beyond! Food was great and the service was excellent! Definitely going again!
So professional in service and a gastronomical presentation of how entries should arrive at the table. Quality was superlative. Will be back.
Had such a lovely experience from the service to the food to the seating. Highly highly recommend!
All dishes our table are natural flavor and clean taste.
Wonderful food. Great ambience and the staff was very patient with our group
We went here for lunch. Everything was delicious and the wine was excellent as always.
This is a beautiful restaurant in the middle of a winery. They have great reasonably priced food. The French onion soup and salads are excellent and a must. The beef bourguignon has a great sauce but was a bit dry, same for the duck. The Ling Cod was a bit salty reminding me of Baccalao. The mussels were excellent as were the desserts.
Food was amazing and the service was incredible. My girlfriend and I are mid 20s and it felt like the decor was for 70 or 80 year olds haha thats my only grievance. Our server was 10 outa 10 too
Our server here was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Food was outstanding! Great place to go for a wine tasting first at Chaberton Estate Winery, then a delicious meal at Bacchus. Great food!
We went for dinner on September 25, Saturday. We had high hopes for this place given all the 4-5 star reviews. Overall the service and food was not up to par with what we had expected. It was a very busy Saturday dinner service for them so perhaps the staff and kitchen was just overwhelmed and/or they might just need to change some things. They could improve on the following: French onion soup, escargot, beef bourgignon, scallop potatoes and duck confit--- everything came out SCALDING HOT. I know this might be a great thing to most people but not great if you burn your palate even before the main course. Needless to say, you cant taste the flavors when its too hot. My husband and I dine out quite frequently in some of Vancouvers finest restaurants and never have we experienced this issue until now. Pretty much everything was average at best. The meat in the beef bourgignon was tough and bland. The French onion soup and duck confit were good, but certainly not excellent. Also, presentation left much to be desired. The soup and potatoes all came out burnt on top. It was very obvious the potatoes werent seasoned at all, not even a smidge. Lastly and most importantly they were remiss in checking our covid vaccine passports. It is alarming given that this is mandated now and all businesses are expected to comply. I hope restaurant management sees this and makes an effort to look into what can be improved.
The mushroom tart was amazing!
excellent
Great atmosphere, service and food awesome!!
Very nice environment. Great staff!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Seriously, the food is so so good!
end to end delightful. Worth the drive.
Excellent food, staff and service!
I cant say enough good things about the Bacchus Bistro. We went to celebrate a birthday and had an amazing experience. The service was top notch and the food was incredible. I wouldnt hesitate to come back at all and look forward to returning again.
We went here recently for my 32nd birthday and the food is amazing! We are very familiar with the winery but this was the first time trying the bistro. I had the beef bourgiugnon and my husband had the rib eye, both were incredible! We also tried the french onion soup (it could easily be shared as a starter) and the mushroom cream cheese tart. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu.
Delicious, great service and wonderful ambiance
Food was ok. The prawn appetizer was a few prawns floating in thick tomato sauce. Prawns still had the tails on which is odd for a heavily sauced dish. Meal came with a potato surprise which wasn t mentioned anywhere on the menu and needed seasoning badly. The duck breast special that I had was very good. Wine was the redeeming quality. The oak barrel aged wine I had was very good. For the price of the meal, I would ve expected a lot better food.
Great food, great ambience. Wine is a must!
