Pairing a comfortable atmosphere and exceptional service with really good house-made food, craft beer, craft cocktails and a great wine list
The food is good and the weekend brunch is the best deal in town. That said, the service is laughably bad. I've been several times now thinking "oh maybe that was a bad day for them" but no, their service is genuinely just awful. Expect to wait 15+ minutes just for them to take your initial drink order and give you a menu. And half the time you'll need to go to the bar and collect your drink yourself because it's been sitting there for 10 minutes with no one bringing it over. Prices are good, food is good, the atmosphere is fine, but the service is so downright embarrassing that I think I've given up on giving them another chance.
We come on a Monday night when appies were half off. I counted three other customers there. They were training a new server and it was hard to hear her over the music; which wasn’t too loud. It took a while for our food to come but it was good. We had the beehive pizza which is basically honey on pepperoni. We ordered it for the novelty of it and it was good but nothing special. The wings were perfectly cooked; crisp and juicy. There wasn’t enough sauce in my opinion but I enjoyed dipping it in the crispy Brussels sprout sauce. It was the BEST part of the meal and I’m obsessed with it. I’ll come back for that alone. We also ordered the truffle tator tots and it was also really enjoyable. We also had the caeser and Lucky lager. Both really good. An overall delicious experience
Decent weekend family brunch spot. The quality of the food was pretty decent. Service was inconsistent. We waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us/seat us despite a mostly empty section, and watched others have the same issue, with 1 server but not the other. Will go back but fully expect to wait.
Went here with my family the past weekend and oh, what a waste of time, money, gas and effort it was! It was supposed to be a special occasion for my niece’s birthday. The food was below average. We ordered two community plates to share amongst the 6 of us. Aren’t nachos supposed to have cheese? We were sat for 43 mins before the food came out to us. I asked for plates as soon as the food came out and the server told us “it was in the dishwasher”. Not sure how long their dishwasher loads take, but they might want to consider switching up for a faster one, or buying more plates. We ended up eating on napkins. Not once were we checked on. There was no water served or plates given to us during our entire meal. The table next to us ended up cleaning their own table (pic below) because of the lack of service. When brought to the attention of the server, she decided to get argumentative about it and make excuses. We asked for the manager, but no manager on-site (convenient). Spoke to a shift supervisor who continued to make excuses (as follows) for the horrible service and provide us with almost expiring coupons. Excuse #1: “you came during our busiest brunch hour” (the picture below shows how empty it was) Excuse #2: “We always wait for the customer to ask us for water and then bring it to the table” Excuse #3: “We’re human too” and on he went… The one and ONLY restaurant I’ve been to where the word “sorry” is as scarce as the people at its busiest hour. If you’re the server or supervisor, you know who you are. I won’t mention your names, for your sake. Hope you’ll learn how to provide better customer service. Never coming back here again and don’t recommend it to anyone.
We made reservations last Saturday at noon to celebrate my niece's 10th birthday. Unfortunately it was anything but a celebration. We were told the restaurant was heavily understaffed. However when we arrived the area was quite empty. There were 6 people in our party and we ordered drinks and a couple of platters to start. We were not offered water or given any cutlery. We asked for plates twice as we were sharing and were told they didn't have enough plates, so were washing the used ones. We never got the plates, and as seen, we resorted to using napkins as plates. No one checked up on us during the visit, and once we gave feedback on our poor experience, our server became very hostile. We had the supervisor come over who was very responsive and said that he would bring this up with the manager who is in later that evening and would be contacting me. We never heard back from them. Also, we were overcharged on our drinks. Safe to say that we will never be returning to this establishment nor recommending to our friends and family.
Dined in here by Feb 2022 for a dinner when the Covid relaxations were relaxed a bit. Very spacious with a bar and the seats were nicely spaced. Raylene , our waitress did a wonderful hospitality from beer selection to attending us regularly. For some reasons, we did not like Spicy Ramen bowl that we ordered and they offered to replace it with another dish. Excellent customer service. Ample parking but it’s hard to get parking when crowded.
Good price. Good value. We sat at the bar and was nice. The bartender who was working on Valentine’s Day and was helping us that morning was seriously amazing. Super friendly. We will be back!
Been here a handful of times and the experience has been pretty good. Good deals on breakfast. Service was good, food quality was okay for the price. Like the funky lights and the interior. Can get loud when its busy but its spun atmosphere. Will be going back to try their happy hour.
We ordered from skip and didnt go in. Didnt find the food anything to write home about. The caesar salad had so much lemon juice squeezed on it, that is all that you tasted. The burger was pretty small and quite tasteless. And the chicken strips and fries were really small. My 7 year old niece actually ate them all, which normally she would be able to finish an adult meal. Most disappointing.
There wasnt alot of people there. It was quick food times. But dead inside.
This use to be a great place and a regular stop for us for the weekend breakfast. However Service and quality have dropped drastically over the last year. Constantly u see staffed and the staff that do work clearly don t care about jobs. I have been disappointed the last half dozen times I ve been here. finally giving up and Won t be coming back ever again. Was seated at a dirty table , waitress would not take our food order. Cold hash browns and bacon . No one came to ask how our food was or to check on us , it was not busy there was 4 tables
Townhall offers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with a varied menu that emphasizes fresh, local ingredients. The service is friendly, and the food consistently impresses, making it a great dining choice.
My family of three came here on August 30 2024 @5:30 pm Two of us ordered the beef dip with casar salad and the aujus, the sandwiches were good along with the salad but the aujus was full of salt its like the chef just poured the whole box of salt in the pan , I would think that the chef would be tasting their food while its being made. We proceed to tell the bartender and he said yes he. Had a beef dip earlier and it was salty, I would think the bartender should have said something to the chef or even told us when we ordered because we had a choice of dips with the sandwiches, this cost us $130 dollars with tip I dont think we will be back
The food is really poor. The service is good, though. Food
My wife and i went in and shared a meal and Our server was great and friendly and food was pretty good
I don t understand JRGs obsession with closing their establishments at 9pm. Most of them are bars.
It s a must go place in Langley for happy hours and great service from the bar tenders. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the food. It s clear that it is precooked frozen and very oily.
Came by to watch the fights last Friday, the place was busy. Had hot wings which where pretty good and the service was quick given how busy it was. Was planning to leave after the fights but the DJ they had was playing really good music and played my request right away. I didnt catch his name, please let him know. I hope its the same DJ next weekend.
Went for breakfast this morning with my spouse at 11:00am, we were instantly greeted and seated however it took 10 minutes for a server to swing by and take our order. We immediately ordered, and waited for our drinks for another 10 minutes, when the drinks arrived the mimosa was warm with minimal bubbly. My spouse sent it back, and didnt want another one. Food came to the table and her order was wrong, she asked for sausage, no hasbrowns sub salad. Hasbrowns were on the plate with no salad, and no sausage. The sausage came out after on a different plate, and she canceled the salad. The server then showed up with the salad 5 mins later and said to eat it without the charge. We immediately asked for the bill, and the bill was wrong. The server continued to apologize, we acknowledged the sincerity and paid for the food. In addition, another table had sat for 20mins without attention or service, they had asked for a manager and the server informed them of no manager, they left. We often come from White Rock but this establishment continues to lack professionalism and basic restaurant skills. Townhall needs to re-group and acquire experienced staff.
Definitely gone down hill lately, slow service and mediocre food.
Really dry burgers with a tiny scrape of sauce on the top bun only, burnt chippers, no utensils or napkins brought out with food, drink came halfway through meal after asking a couple of servers about where they were. Server brought napkins, mayo and ketchup on request. Fries were good. It was busy with a fundraiser but service seemed very disorganized.
I went to townhall langley when the canucks played the oilers in game 6. Our waitress Elizabeth was amazing, she was so sweet and kind always making sure we had fresh drinks and checking on us when needed. She went above and beyond. Thank you, Elizabeth.
Took long
Good pizza
Whomever was working tonight (April 14) and took my call about two missing items from my Uber order, you are AMAZING. I hope management passes this along, because she deserves the kudos. Not only did she listen and understand, she added two free entrees into the bag when my daughter ran down to pick it up. Thats amazing service and greatly appreciated. Besides all that, the food really was delicious and the whole family was happy :-)
Great breakfast deal! Waiter was patient, got orders right, and didnt mind us ordering, ordering, and ordering! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out! Level entry.
Good price for brunch Service was slow
Great service and excellent food. I had the Southwestern salad. My partner had the szechuaun bowl.
Great place to hang out. Staff were so nice. I went to watch a football game this past Sunday and they made sure the TV was clearly in our view. Raylene was our server and she took awesome care of us which we appreciated. Would go again for sure.
The braided hair manager is atrocious- rude and accommodating!!
I came here last night for 90 s Night! I was really looking forward to it, since it was my Birthday and the 90 s remind me of my high school years. Our service, drinks and food were great! The DJ however was disappointing. I swear he only played a handful of good 90 s songs. He even repeated songs and I was only there two hours. My friends & I went up to him to request some songs & he was annoyed with us. Anyway, great place. I will come back, however not to 90 s night again if it s the same DJ.
Probably the best pub in Langley. Food can be a hit or miss at times but the service is always wonderful, atmosphere is great and music always FIRE. Food
I tried this out for the first time on a Tuesday which, as luck would have it, has a $7 menu all day. Even luckier, I was there during happy hour. There were $4 cans of beer which was nice but I tried the discounted menu items and it was depressing to say the least. I ordered the Nashville chicken bites and poutine to start. A bowl arrived (that I would expect to hold a dipping sauce) with 4 or 5 tiny morsels of what may have been chicken (multiple kitchen staff hairs included) and then a second bowl of the same size with all of ten fries and some gravy came around. I understand that there are deals going on and maybe full sized portions are not to be expected but when I m spending so little and still feeling ripped off and disgusted, there s something clearly wrong. I fear what full priced menu items would entail at this point and frankly, the hygiene issue is worrisome. The place was practically empty and service was still mediocre at best. On paper, this place looked really interesting but in reality, go for happy hour drinks and expect nothing more. That was my takeaway.
We had a small girls night at Townhall. Ethan was our server and was an absolute delight. He was attentive, kind, and so positive. The manager was also amazing and on top of our table when a little hiccup of spilled drinks happened. They comped my meal and drink; Ethan and the manager made our night memorable and we would return for their service and dedication to their job :)
To the incompetent manager working New Year s Eve: You re incredibly unprofessional by raising your voice while simply asking you a question. Your lack of customer service shines on your made up smile; it s obvious. Please, next year make your New Year s Eve rules more clear, not even the door greeter(s) knew. We simply wanted to have a bite and not stay long but you insisted we buy tickets. Go back to school for a class on how to run a restaurant. As I sift through all the bad reviews it nearly made sense I delete this one because 20 others nailed it to a tee. Sincerely, the guy you kicked out for doing nothing.
Was treated really poorly by the doorman & manager. Very dissappointed.
80s night was a blast! The DJ was great, the food was great, the staff were super nice. We will be back again!
Had reservations but when showed up we never were allowed to sit down
Bro this place is a joke Vegetarian options: I got salmonella I had to eat on my feet Food : 1/5 |
The food is so yummy! Literally ordered the same thing 3 days in a row. It was so friggen good.
Absolutely terrible service. Decided to come in for dinner and drinks with my gf. The two waitresses working tonight did not acknowledge our existence whatsoever, despite knowing we were there and us having made eye contact with both waitresses. Not a single word or acknowledgement came from them. They avoided us each time they had to walk near the front area and pretended we were not there. We decided to leave after 15 minutes of waiting and not being attended to in the slightest. Both ladies were incredibly rude and unprofessional. I wouldnt waste my time coming here for service like that, or should I say NO service at all... We will definitely not be returning here. We ended up going to a different pub down the street that welcomed us in a timely matter.
Great atmosphere, friendly waitress - before our glasses got empty she was there asking if we wanted another. Food was served quickly and was delicious Recommended dishes
Love this place. Great service and friendly staff. Good food at reasonable prices. They make a great ceasar
I came here yesterday with my husband for dinner and our waitress Jasmine was amazing. They had trivia on but we decided not to play, but Jasmine was so fun and bubbly to talk to. One of the best servers I ve had at any restaurant. Such a great experience here and can t wait to come back!
$18 for what seemed like a half order of wings. Literally half serving of any wings order I ever got anywhere before. Burger was kiddie burger tasted like it. Waitress tried to charge me for 3 beers when I had 2. Ill never go back and expose the truth about this place to whoever I come across. Horrible horrible experience.
Went for my boyfriends work party and it was a blast, loved the food was really good
Pesto pizza is great. Beer is cold. Service has always been great
Excellent craft beer selection. Food was decent enough. Chill atmosphere
Clean place, the service was amazing!
Really good place and beautiful staff...good people who loved my Dad George... so much.thankyou for letting me host his going away party
If you can t handle to accept doordash/skip orders and have them given to couriers to meet their time quota, don t accept them..
Cant believe Id never been here on all the years had lived in Langley. Food was good. Ambience was nice. Staff were friendly.
loud, but heard the food is good
Refused service because of snow Closed doors.
Had a great time tonight at TownHall . The bartenders Ethan and Cam were super attentive and the drinks were great. The new menu is fantastic and would highly recommend coming here.
The lunch specials are for kids. Hate the whole menu. Super slow service
Good vibes
Awesome experience for our Vikings football fundraiser!
Have been a few times for Brunch & Dinner. The food was very good and can t complain about the meals. I would just have to say that the service is slow at times and we had to wait a bit to get the servers attention. Felt understaffed for the busy times.
Service is great and so friendly. Aiden was amazing, invited us back and we ll definitely be coming with a bigger group next time. Had great recommendations and loved the watermelon shot!
The best thing about Townhall Langley is the happy hour weekend brunch. It s a great value and they have great options if you re looking for a basic American style breakfast. The service isn t always the best nor is the atmosphere. If you re in a pinch and a budget I think this would be an option.
The breakfast deal on Saturday and Sunday cant be beat Great quality and presentation added to the professional and friendly service its a must do at least once a month Food
Nothing special just like other Pub at night... I wait like 40 minutes to get my bill and the door guy grumpy face and the food no comment. Dont go there, the food is nothing special, my aunt makes it better at home and there is nothing special about it... the guy at the door with the unfriendly face seems to be doing you a favor by letting you in.
Olivia was such a lovely server for us. She was very friendly and tentative the whole stay. I had the tomato soup which was amazing as well!
Went for brunch and our sever, Aiden, was fantastic. He really made our experience there. Good food but he was hilarious and our entire table enjoyed his service and banter.
Very quiet restaurant/pub, it looked like they only had 1 waiter and a bartender on for the dinner hour on a Tuesday night. Prices were reasonable. Food was good service was a little slow.
Add On: Breakfast Special is now $5.99. New Review January 2023 Highly recommend this location. Breakfast is back to $4.99 on the menu for weekends. (They lost business when they raised the price to $7.99) Now all the regulars are back and the place is packed in the morning, so get there early. Breakfast special is delicious and perfect for a regular eater. If you are a big guy....best to order something more substantial. New staff, always changing, some are younger now and very friendly and energetic. Not a place for children, this is a pub setting and people want to enjoy their morning breakfast in relative quietness. Parking lot is large. Bathrooms 8/10 5 stars Review August 8th 2021 2 People 1:00pm Location remodeled 6/10. Bathrooms remodeled however lock on stall door still not fixed. Waitress was professional with friendly attitude. Price of Town Hall special breakfast is now $7.99 plus extra charge if prefer sausage. Small amount on plate....food hot and delicious but good for small eaters only. No children in last 3 times frequenting location in 2 months As this is a pub, there should not be children present. I would now recommend this location. 4 Stars (would give 5 if food portion for special breakfast was improved) Sunday January 5th 11:30am. All ages, more of a pub feel, except 3yrs to 7yrs old children present, TVs extremely loud around all tables, staff friendly, tables cleaned quickly, coffee terrible Orange juice full of extra ice, Ordered 2 $5 special breakfasts, friends ordered different breakfast items from the menu, food arrived fast and hot, all orders had small amount of food on each plate. Unfortunately we all walked out hungry... Bathrooms 6/10, Lots of parking. This location is very different from other locations. 3 stars Dietary restrictions: Let your waiter or waitress know when ordering your food. Parking: Lots of parking. Even in the back of the pub. Kid-friendliness: NOT FOR KIDS, PUB SETTING Wheelchair accessibility: Large front double door. Wide aisles. Chairs can be removed to sit at tables. Bathroom entry doors are not wide so may have a problem there.
Half of our party came for the Friday night prime rib dinner. Portions were fair and food was tasty for them. Other half of party ordered off the regular menu and value for money we concerning. Pizza felt overpriced at +$20.00 for what it consists of but tasted ok. Other item ordered was a dish of rice and fish for +$25.00. Would not be back for regular menu but recommend prime rib dinner. Service was friendly and helpful. In my opinion the regular menu is overpriced. We noticed their liquid prices were also a little steep. Will only be back for prime rib.
Ive been to most of the town halls but this one is my favourite by far! The service was amazing, best service I have received in a very long time! The drink feature was delicious, and our food was even better! Their onion rings were seasoned to perfection and my poke bowl was super fresh ! Also the decor was so cute. I cannot wait to go back
Our experience was ruined by the horrible service and professionalism by the entire staff. We were 1 of only 2 tables and it took our server (Olivia) 15 minutes to take our order and our food was another 45 minute wait. The entire staff was too busy hanging out with their disruptive friends at the bar and goofing around in the kitchen rather than taking care of their customers. They would not acknowledge or check on us and we had to ask for water, cutlery, the bill, everything. One of the cooks was kneading pizza dough behind the bar and walking around the restaurant with it - definitely not food safe. The manager was just as distracted and did nothing about these issues. The food was just ok but not worth the wait or frustration. Unfortunately will not be returning and do not recommend.
Best pub to go when in Langley. Food is great. Place looked a whole lot better after the renovation.
Excellent breakfast
We sat down and no one came to take our order or even bring us water. We left after waiting around for 20mins for no one to show up. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
No service after being seated. Waited for 20 minutes even asking the greeter, to be handed a menu. Left shortly after.
Food was awful, our dishes were dirty, and don t get me started on the service. Waited far too long for food that tasted like it was just thrown together in a minute. The staff were very rude too. Would not reccomend.
Had the worst time here paid to buy a ticket and there wasnt anything special it was just a bar, servers cut you off early as hell saw alot of people turned away and cut off. The manager was pretty rude aswell
I was at Townhall Langley Restaurant hosting a Halloween party for Fan Expo Vancouver Meetups. Their manager and Marketing team were amazing to work with in setting up this event. We were also treated with incredible service from their staff that night and got the entire space in the back for playing our games. Absolutely loved the food that night. Highly recommend trying their Schezuan bowl. If youre looking to have a party, make sure to reach out to them as they will be more than happy to have you and your friends and family over there. I look forward to going back there again next year for the Halloween meetup :)
First time visiting this pub. Not busy at 7 p.m. on Thursday. I had a spicy Hawaiian pizza. Delicious with lots of sauce, thin crust. She had pesto prawn pizza. She enjoyed it too. Large enough for 2. Maybe not for 2 guys!
This place keeps getting cheaper and cheaper and worse and worse. They changed their wine from 6 and 9 oz to 5 and 8 (prices stayed the same obviously) and their burger is literally the size of a Wendys Jr cheeseburger except it costs $20. They used to have a great menu and great food - we were regulars - but its been a downhill spiral for years. No wonder JRG had to file for bankruptcy. We wont be back.
Food and drinks were delicious!
Extremely bad service especially by the brunette lady at the front letting people in, extremely rude and hostile, unprofessional, long wait, will not be coming back nor recommending. My group of friends and myself were extremely disappointed.
I stopped in to get a beverage last night and was shocked about the condition and the atmosphere of the Town Hall in Langley. The bartender was rude. Out of a dozen people that were in the pub four of us along the bar were completely shocked by her behavior and attitude. She heard our subtle comments and tried to change but the damage was done. I will not be going back. I usually do not leave bad reviews but sometimes the truth hurts.
Im only giving 5 stars because the ONE lady working did a great job. She was the ONLY person working and making drinks. People and parties were just coming in and in and this poor server was doing everything alone. Making drinks, running food, taking orders. You can tell she was overworked, stressed and needed support. This is the week before Christmas and holidays, of course it will be busy. I felt so bad for her and I m shocked that this establishment would have this server working completely alone??? I know things happen and people call in sick etc. but this is where management needs to step in and support their employees. So disappointed.
Enjoy going here. Good food, great value happy hour and brunch. No Diet Coke available for weeks now kind of odd it takes so long to fix
THE MANAGEMENT HERE IS TERRIBLE. As you can see they dont care about about their bad reviews or poor service as they only respond to positive reviews... Staff is super rude, the security staff is absolute garbage and poorly trained. They phisically assaulted me while kicking me out after some guy inside was trying to fight me even though i was attempting to avoid the guy... they threw me into the bushes outside and as I attempted to get up the kept pushing me back into them. Left me with bruises, cuts and a broken phone. Than called the police in attempts to get me in trouble telling the RCMP that I was trying to run on my bill even though they just finished harrassing me outside for 10 minutes. The police came and encouraged me to press charges. I didnt because I thought it wasnt necessary and recently found out they placed a Canada wide bar ban on my name, are holding my information without my permission. After attempting multiple times to get in contact with the management they never returned my call and were of no help. Absolutely disgusting establishment... And I hope it goes out of business soon..
Literally sitting in the restaurant right now. No waitress / waiter for over 10 mins. Went to washroom, no soap. Hand sanitizer station is empty. Tables dirty. Wont be back.
Amazing breakfast!
$3 mimosas and a killer brunch on Saturdays
Wine was good, service was Great, Food....not so much! Caesar salad was so salty from too many capers and the chicken was dry and hard. Pizza dough was not cooked thoroughly on the pizza we ordered! We spoke with staff and they took the food off the bill and gave us a certificates for 2 free future entres which was very nice since neither one of us ate our dinner.
Changed menu so much. Food was good. Burger was small for $20 however I suppose inflation is everywhere. I really really miss the stuffed goat cheese and jalapeno burger. (I know it was a longtime ago)
Very friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere! Good food too
Food and drink was good but prices balanced it out to ok. Was much better quality than the Abbotsford location. Was pretty empty in there though, Im sure they would fill up with more competitive rates. Probably wont go back
Not very impressed! What happened to the dancing? Finally get to go out with no mask or vax pass and spent nearly 200 bucks only to find out there was no dancing. I picked townhall to go dancing and am very disappointed! Bonnie Henry said we can dance.!get it right please
Always happy and friendly staff. Great place
Good service, expensive prices. I ordered a Quesadilla with fries and it was mediocre. The Margaritas were delicious but the bill at the end was a shock!
Great brunch at a good price, cant beat $3 mimosas.
Love the new brunch menu. Cant beat Steak and Eggs, except with Chicken and Waffles
Good service but mediocre and overpriced food. Would not eat here again
Best fish and chips take out ive had in years. Props to the chef !
Reserved a large event midday. Very friendly staff who went above and beyond. Food and drinks came out pretty fast even though we had a party of 30 people ordering different things.
Nice place. Food is great. Friendly staff. Works burger and Corn dog trio in picture
Someone needs to give the waitress, Miriam a raise! Shes is super professional, friendly and prompt to help us with orders. The service here is amazing. A+ The other waitress helped us too, sorry forgot your name. Shes awesome too!
Went for Fathers Day brunch after golfing with daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Got a tasty caesar (no- charge for fathers) and really enjoyed my West Coast crab and potato benny. The rest of the table chowed down on a buttermilk chicken sandwich, a double benny, JRG cheeseburger and a farmers breakfast. Awesome menu, good food and good service. Ill be back!
Dont get the burger its a super thin patty way overcooked with cheap American cheese and skimpy toppings. A quarter pounder with cheese from McDonalds is a better option. I gave 2 stars because the fries are actually really good
Terrible service, terrible food, horrible customer satisfaction. Three times I went during the NBA finals with over ten TVs they refused to put one on basketball. Manager lied and told me that they only got two channels and could only put on the two hockey games. Next time manage told me they only had one channel and could not change as all TVs had to be on one channel. When I asked about some menu items the bartender described it to me, when it came was totally something I did not like nothing like his description and refused to give me something else. AVOID.
Average at best. Probably wont go back.
Went there for brunch...Ceasers were better than most other JRG places weve been to but omelette was just OK - would have been better if omelette temperature was more than barely warm. Would have been nice if it came with toast too...Who serves an omelette without toast ?
Had a late lunch/ happy hour on Wednesday, It was quiet and pretty empty. We had their $10 Fish & Chip special and a beer. Food and service was very good.
Limited menu....kind of akward, finding nothing. Food is ok,service needs improvement.
We enjoy going for an occasional meal. The food is good but the venue can get overly noisy. We must be getting old.
Slow service. Decent and consistent food quality. The house special $4.99 brunch was an adequate size. Didnt feel overly stuffed. Maple bacon was really good! Inside decor is super cool and furniture is comfy
Really nice spot. Staff are friendly and prompt.
The WORST service. I believe they were short staffed but they had no signage about it, we sat for 15 minutes at the front with not one server acknowledging us. They would just walk on past us and not make any eye contact as if we were invisible. As a server myself, I understand a busy morning and being short staffed but that does not excuse communication. It takes 2 seconds to run past and say sorry guys, we are really behind this morning someone will be with you shortly . Absolutely ridiculous, awful customer service. 0 stars.
Terrible service, was sitting at a table for 15 mins while the place was empty all the staff just stood there and talked rather than come ask if we would like a drink. To top it all off they were very rude. Will not be returning to this location.
A bit disappointed. In the past the Town Hall had amazing pub style burgers. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was like the burger you d get off of a kids menu. My friend had the pesto pasta, and that looked a lot better. Service was also a bit slow, when the place was not busy.
40 mins after placing a CONFIRMED order on Skip The Dishes they cancelled our order? Called in and was told sorry, we ran out of what you ordered This is not the first time we have had issues ordering from the Townhall. NEVER again.
Good food and service!
Great place to hang out and watch the games and meet ppl. Great customer service here the food is amazing and for a good price too would definitely come back here again. Oh by the way this place dose get busy so parking at times might be tuff but its not that bad so yah check it out
Nice pub and good staff. Havent eaten there yet.
Brutal. Wait hours for ur food
Great service and the $5 breakfast on the weekends is fantastic! Definitely become a regular since the fall started!
Had a great lunch yesterday. Two specials fish and chips. Glass of wine and a house lager. Service was great and price even better. 38.25 all in. Will be back
With its great atmosphere and helpful staff, Townhall is certainly a great place for all occasions. Kid-friendliness: Not for kids. Strictly a bar/pub atmosphere.
A bit meh. Virtually no gluten free options and something feels off with the decor. Dietary restrictions: This whole group of restaurants makes it abundantly clear that they cant be bothered to deal with people who have food allergies.
Great place for a drink and some food. Decent prices and good service. Would go back. Weekend brunch special is only $4.99 and its excellent! Unbeatable for the price really.
Food is priced well, taste great and awesome customer service! Love coming here for breakfast and best part is that is family atmosphere for our 8 yr old son to enjoy with us.
It used to be very gloomy inside with bad service, they changed it up and revived the place.. still orders for delivery and take out can sometimes take too long!
I like their breakfast, the place and the service.
Great service everytime. Food is amazing too. I recommend the beef dip.
Great service and great brunch/ happy hour
Love this place. Love the happy hour, staffs are always friendly. Vegetarian dishes are available and tasty:) Cant complain.
Omg the mini donuts are purely divine that I had 2 orders. They also carry cheesecake factory cheesecakes . Service was abit slow but overall great experience
Service was excellent. Food not so much
Renovations are awesome! Same great service and the new crab cake bennnies are delicious! Nice to have them open again
Went June 07 at 1600 I say they did a good job with the renovation. Place is more current while still having that cozy feeling. Happy Hour drinks and food are good. The Crab Cakes are so good as well as the Burger. EXCEPT for the Oyster Mushroom. Calling it Calamari does not justify the $13 price. It s only Oyster Mushroom . Our server was very nice and offered to take it off our bill. Now that s good service. Will we come back? You bet your A$$ we will!
Went to Townhall and was expecting similar pricing and food to the Townhall in South Surrey. The new menu here was overpriced for the small portion sizes, we ordered the kettle chips, lamb sausage roll, butcher board and duck spring rolls. All items were not worth what we paid. The only item that tasted good was the lamb sausage roll, but one roll cut into 4 pieces is not worth $14. The butcher board was worse than a deli platter from Safeway, I do not recommend if you like quality charcuterie. The duck spring rolls tasted like day old duck. And the kettle chips were supposed to be dill flavoured, but weren t and were tiny broken pieces of chips. I hope this isn t JRG s way of making their money back after enduring a pandemic shut down. We are fans of JRG establishments but won t be going back to Townhall in Langley. Service was phenomenal and drinks were great as usual.
Weve been coming to this establishment for over 25 years. I have fond memories of the the original pub, the Duke of Wellington. Back in the day, pubs offered cheaper eats as a result of the liquor sales revenue. Somehow, however, the JRG group now believe that they are a fine dining restaurant. Everything on the menu is at the top end of what you would expect to pay for standard items. They appear to be chasing the Millenials as their client base. No longer can you find pub staples as the Clubhouse or even a BLT sandwich. Its a swing and a miss IMO
A+ service. The renovations are fantastic and food is very good. Had the crab cakes and the spicy ahi tuna bowl. Loved both. We will definitely be back.
What a fantastic refresh for this already well established spot! It really feels like they have brought the outside in, so bright and full of greenery. The new menu items are delish, lots of options for everyone! Once again JRG has hit it outta the park :)
Beautifully redone so nice and bright and modern.Delicious food and great service! We will be back!
Theyve done some serious remodeling inside this place - its brighter, more seating (and more comfortable seating), better aesthetics, looks cleaner, lowered the bar to a nice height and lowered tables. You guys nailed the renovations! Menu has also changed quite a bit; mushroom soup is gone as well as a few other pub food items, and youll find the new menu items to be adventurous, trendy, and slightly more up-scale. If you want a safe bet, the Szechuan Rice Bowl has always satisfied. If youre looking to try something new, the Pulled Pork Hushpuppies are very tasty
All beer from the taps were warm, the waitress said that she had the same complaint from another table. The patio garden has weeds higher than the actual plants. On the plus side food was good and so was the service.
Great reno; delicious new menu
Service was slow for brunch, had to wait quite a long time to be seated despite having a reservation and the place being nearly empty. Food was good, and the patio is nice considering it backs on to 64th.
Brook was my waitress and she was amazing. She was very helpful and attention detailed. Everytime I needed a new drink she immediately came to my table. Truly a great waitress that made the experience excellent. The entire bar is in amazing shape after the renovations, highly recommend to anyone in the area or looking for a quick/cheap drink. I had probably 8 beers and 4 shots and it only cost $60 total. That is amazing value in todays world.
on the great side, covid protocols, staff, interior renovation, central city street legal ipa! on the so so side, the charcuterie board was over priced compared to Dead Frog, or Barnside.
pleeeease bring back the Krafty Mac n Cheese bites!!!!!!
Love the new look and the food is amazing. Super friendly staff and excellent customer service.
Well since renovations looks nice ,but the food quality went really low and the prices went up obviously paying for renovations ; no longer my place for brunch menu has changed ! how unfortunate
***Update visit June 25 2021*** We decide take out due to covid and I was impressed again by this place The hot wings are so good and tasty! Chicken tender were a hit with the kids and I tested one of them. Crunchie and prefectly seasoned. The portion were big and fair with the pricing. I had fish and chips again nice sizes and delicious oh the fries are crispy (garlic and Parmesan add on would be great!) The nachos were a good size. Only complaint better laying and Guacamole is needed. Highly recommended this place. You cant beat 5 bucks for breakfast! Its prefect amount and really good, its a must try. I had two beers in total and it was under 20 bucks.
The food was not great dont think I will.be going back. Our waitress was good
The worst marguerita pizza I ever had. Ordered 3 for my family, we ate half of one and ate something else.
Usually have the same server and shes excellent I believe her name is rayanne or something like that. Shes the best!
This location seems to be having issues. We go here regularly and recently have had several bad to worse experiences. Cold food, cold coffee, waitress taking forever to come around and wrong food orders. Also the Caesars are different and the waitress seemed annoyed when I said something. We drink them all the time almost every weekend here and they are for sure different! The manager on seemed overwhelmed with her staff as they were not pulling their weight. We take the extra drive to a different location now because Im not giving this location (Langley) anymore chances (or money)
1.Cheap buns on burgers and beef dip 2.No salsa with our nachos until we asked and then got a watered down version 3. Waitress not following social distancing at all... Kept bending in half to talk to us 4. Music too loud to talk 5. Beef in my beef dip was tasteless and dry 6. Dirty and unclean entry 7. Prices to high for product given
The music was decent until we asked to request a song and the vanilla DJ replied that he couldn t adjust his pre loaded playlist, we were disturbed and disappointed. They may have renovated the interior but what they need to renovate is that same old BS playlist of top 40 garbage that they have been rotating to the point of discomfort.
New look is very inviting food was very tasty and the staff was great
Came in around 10pm on a Friday, took a couple minutes for us to be greeted. Nice selection of craft beer. Food was overpriced - my chicken burger mustve been killed twice, that poor thing was so overcooked. Fries were good though. Didnt come in with high expectations. Left as expected. Who am I kidding, Ill still probably come back.
Deceptive. Calamari = fake (mushrooms not squid) Tells us to use online menu.... get bill. Some items are 40% more... They admit online menu wrong. Do NOT offer to help in ANY way. I would rather not come back than argue, food is always just OK at these places. I end up with a higher than expected bill and a upset fiancee, thank you Joseph Richards Group. Feel free to contact me.
Dont order the steak frites. Asked for medium-rare but instead got a pinky thin steak cooked well done - worse, it was fatty. Not the greatest when you just want a steak to end the week. That said, the joint itself was good and staff friendly.
Amazing restaurant, food and service was the best. Their server Chris was amazing sold us on the best carrot cake we ve ever had its a must get!
Went for happy hour. Drink specials were good, but food was disappointing. Portions small, and pizza was underwhelming. The place was cold and lacking ambience, at least the server was pleasant
The setting itself was really nice, the staff are incredible and super attentive. The drinks are not the greatest, the selection is very minimal. As for food, I would suggest staying away from their steak. The steak was horrible. I feel bad saying this but it looks nothing like the photo. Very very small, very very thin and little to no flavour. It was very chewy. The fries were amazing, so that is the plus side. As well as the wings, super yummy. I personally would not go back but also wouldnt totally knock it.
Really good food and drinks!
Nice atmosphere great service great food
Serves great breakfast
Place was refreshed. Very up to do date. The menu has changed. Miss some of the old brunch options but the new ones are really good as well. Good to checkout
