Staff here are fantastic and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Busy , bustling place to enjoy a buffet .All the other guests appear to be having a great time. The buffet stayed full with a decent selection. The food was average not overly spectacular but worth the price.. I would come again because they offer evening options
My mom and I have been regulars at this buffet restaurant for a couple of years now, and we are still always impressed with food and service. Despite some negative reviews and experiences others might have had, we absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the start. They know what we like, from our preferred table to our favorite drinks (Mimosa and Moscow mule 😁). The chefs here are the best! They consistently deliver delicious food, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. There's always something new and tasty to try, which keeps every visit exciting. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience!
Decent Buffet with a selection of 3-4 meat dishes, salad and soup counter and dessert section. Went in for lunch on a Saturday and as of Nov 2024, it's around $22 for adults and kids under 12 is $15. Wonderful service by Nadja and the view facing the golf course is beautiful!
Bright and lovely space for brunch. This was our first time visiting. We brought family visiting from out of town following a recommendation from a family friend. I understand why she likes it here. The decor was quite dated, but clean. Staff was kind and welcoming. There's a nostalgic vibe. This is a great space for a crowd. There was quite a lot of seating available. The food was ok. Impressive selection for a weekday. I'd return to share the ambiance with someone looking to experience it. The food selection was what you'd hope to find. There were savory and sweet options for everyone, including accommodations for allergies.
Brought my family here for thanksgiving brunch. I haven’t heard of this restaurant before so it was a new experience! Amazing delicious seafood, lamb, turkey and a large variety of dishes and desserts. For the price we really enjoyed our time. Drinks are not included, coffee and tea is $2.50 but refillable. Place is old and under-maintained but I’m reviewing on the food. If you’re looking for an aesthetically pleasing venue this is not the one.
A bit dated with chairs and furniture. Service is ok, asked for condiments and they never came back with it. Food average. Potatoes undercooked and shrimp over cooked. Price is ok
Massive buffet. Room for hundreds. Was going to give a 5 but sometimes the food ran out and it took a few minutes to get a new tray in. And it was about 75% full. Imagen the crush when it is 100%? Did selection was pretty good. Maybe the desserts could have been more varied. Otherwise the woman taking care of my table was excellent.
The place is beautiful and reminiscent of the glory of the 1990s and early 2000s. The buffet is pretty good. Their salmon was great and their Yorkshire pudding was on point. The roast beef was kinda dry and well done though as you can see in the pictures. The selection for the price is very reasonable and it’s a buffet so you can eat all you want. Very nice.
As far as buffets go... it was pretty good. Food was hot and replaced quite often
The food was good, our service was awful, and our atmosphere was nice.
Food was sub par.. unfortunately as expected with most buffet style restaurants Service was mediocre and atmosphere was meh unless you enjoy feeling like cattle being herded around. Again expected for a buffet style experience.. but still hinders the service food and atmosphere
Excellent buffet, very minor issues with the food (uncleaned prawns, overly fatty cuts) but besides that a solid experience.
Food is cheap. I had shrimp ONLY for Sunday buffet and got food poisoning
The food is always amazing!!! Tasty food, great staff. Good variety of proteins! This is my to go place for brunch! Keep up guys. The only bad thing is its always full with people and now need to make reservations before going.
Today my husband and I saw two rats and another lady saw them ass well because she was on her chair jumping
I went in the morning and there was no one there, the food was served right away, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious, with crispy pork belly similar to Bossam, to the taste of Koreans! Cake toe salad too. You can enjoy it slowly with nature. Parking: If you cant park, you can go inside the back.
we tried the seafood buffet, it was an epic fail, nothing was good, awful selection. Will never go back again
I had the prime rib buffet and it was really good. There were other options like fish and pasta as well as salad and fresh fruit.
Had the lunch buffet and honestly I make much better food at home for the same price point if not less. Everything tasted like it came from a package or a can. And to charge $5 more per plate for the Christmas special is Ludacris! The chunks of fatty turkey skin mixed into the stuffing was especially unpleasant. Honestly thought it was a Gordon Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares episode with hidden cameras. Will NEVER go back.
Ive gone to their buffets many times as well as their upstairs patio. Food is always good, servers are polite and attentive. Its a nice place to go for a Sunday brunch or a casual dinner.
I ve coming here for 8 year or more and always had really good experiences. But the recent dining experience was horrible at best. The old servers were not here. The newer ones were scarce to find! It took 10 minutes to get coffee and another 3 minutes to get cream. One guest across from me got his table cleared before he was done! Just the worst service I have encountered anywhere.
Teagan was INCRDIBLE! We had a party of 14 people, 10 of which were first timers, and they THOROUGHLY enjoyed themselves and cant wait to return! Salvatore set the night in the right atmosphere with an awesome attitude greeting and seating us.THANK YOU ALL!!!!
A very nice plate to eat for lunch with my wife and family friends! Good food! Parking: Lots of parking. Food : 5/5 |
Nice place...we go regularly there
Great place for a buffet
I celebrated my birthday here on June 9 with my family . One expects a certain level of hygiene and cleanliness, particularly with items like drinking glasses and cutleries. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Mr As Patio Restaurant fell short of these basic standards. From the moment I sat down, I noticed the glass on my table had visible water spots indicating it had not been properly cleaned. I hope this was an isolated incident. The cutleries were no better. The fork and knife provided and the spoon had a sticky residue. This is unacceptable, as it suggests a severe lapse in the restaurants dishwashing process and overall hygiene practices. Such experiences are not only off-putting but also raise concerns about the cleanliness of the entire establishment, including the kitchen. Proper sanitation is crucial in preventing foodborne illnesses, and any restaurant that fails in this basic aspect risks the health of its patrons. I hope Mr. As Patio Restaurant addresses these issues promptly. Cleanliness should never be compromised, and customers deserve to dine in a sanitary environment. Other than that the food is very good and the services are excellent .
Went for the dinner buffet yesterday and what a disappointing experience. First experience was in the washroom. It was clearly not clean with paper towel and garbage all over the floor. Many holes in walls and in the roof. Should have been aware at that point how dinner was going to go. Dinner was okay I guess. Food was cold. Options were not great. The prime rib was not seasoned yorkshire pudding was dry as heck, and the gravy was water. The restaurant needs majoy updates as it is very outdated and there is alot of broken and dirty fixtures. We switched out half a dozen chairs as all the arms were falling off. We ordered two drinks which were horrible and needed to be sent back. Several tables around us has the same experience. And to finish it off the dessert table was a breeding ground for fruit flies. The second you grabbed a square, dozens of fruit flies would fly around.. very gross. For 31 bucks a person I didnt expect much.. but that was not it.. save your money and go somewhere else.
Went here for dinner last night , person that we were with had a live caterpillar in her salad and another one got a fresh cup of coffee with someones lipstick on the cup !!! For 32$ a plate will not be back again food was sub par , guy cutting the roast was being cheap on the amount pieces. They need to hire a janitor because it was horribly messy toilets clogged and poop all over. The place is dated and the food is not good Will not be back
Went to brunch with 8 people, fantastic food & great service.
Our server was very rude. All of our dishes were dirty when we arrived.
Smaller buffet. No band. Overall we all seven enjoyed it. When I asked the carver for another slice of roast beef youd have thought I was asking for his first born. Great drink and dish service.
Sunday Brunch. Yesterday 5 of us came here to celebrate my Birthday at 9:30 and left slightly disappointed. We came specifically at the earliest time to get a table at the window. 90% of window tables were available but the male hostess refused to seat us there saying that it s either for 4 people or 6. It was such a disappointment because we later saw 5 people seating at the window tables. Giving a low star because of this. It was also a surprise that they can t bring you another set of clean utensils saying that you know how many people we get here every day?! Well, yeah, but bringing clean utensils is pretty manageable if someone requires. The drinks were nice and well priced and the food was fine!
nice bok Choi and mushroom dish. nice shellfish. nice korean pork. good variety to please a group.
Chicken, salmon, then beef, Salad is fresh, deserts are good Waitress are nice Food : 4/5
Not a great selection for lunch, the soup was tasteless, they mixed sweet pickles with olives which made them taste gross, they didnt keep all the dishes full. We were asked 3 times if everything was okay and then had to wait over 5 minutes once we asked for the bill and it wasnt busy. Also the parking was limited Kid-friendliness: Children totally welcome Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible
Food was tasty, I enjoyed breakfast, but I cannot say the same thing for dinner. especially if you pay 30$ per person and don t get satisfied with all you can eat open buffet. Daiquiri Fresha was a good cocktail , so it saves the night for me. Still in my favourite list!
I celebrated a special occasion at the Mr A s Patio and I am always impressed by their the exquisite cuisine and the impeccable service. I can t recommend enough for a fantastic Sunday brunch experience.
Great place to fill your stomach up to the point of feeling pregnant
Can i give a Zero star rating?? It appears not, but thats what it deserves! Good lord was this an atrocious attempt at decent food. You know your in for a regretful meal when the best thing at a buffet with over 30 items, is the salad. Run away, i mean sprint away from this place. Will never ever, and i mean never dine here again. Im still upset i got roped into a meal at this place. Christmas will never be the same again! Parking: lots of parking
Really miss the crab on seafood night. I realize that unlimited crab is out of the question.. but they should really allow a bit of crab er person
Wouldn t take a reservation for 4 people. Told me to get a few more people to come as reservations were only available for 7 or more.
Brunch buffet on Sunday is legendary. Ive been coming here for like 8+ years. Amazing food: eggs bendict, bacon, waffles, omelet (custom made by the staff, you choose the ingredients), also they had carving station beef, salmon, chicken, pork chops. Also the dessert had variety and tasty: cookies, cakes, other tarts and squares. Definitely worth it for $27/person. The dinner buffet is good too, but the brunch is the best.
As a family we have been going here for Mothers Day brunch for a few years now. This year we were seated in an area full of windows so we had great natural sunlight bathing us the entire time. That was fantastic! Unfortunately everything else was off compared to previous experiences. The food was underwhelming and despite seeing staff members hustling everywhere the service was slower compared to previous years. The individual who sat us and brought the initial drink order accidentally spilled a glass of orange juice on a member of our party and it took over 10 minutes for them to bring any additional napkins (not even a wet cloth) to wash down his arm. That kinda set the tempo unfortunately but many of us felt that the vibe was just off compared to previous experiences.
Best Place for Sunday Brunch Buffet. Waffle station, Omelette station, and lots other hot dishes..
I love the how bright the patio side of the table. Beautiful setting, our server was quick and friendly. Food was not as good as expected.
WONDERFUL. Local Institution!
We had Sunday brunch and it was delicious! The selection was wonderful and constantly replenished. The cost is very reasonable.
I have been here previously and really like the lunch buffet. Now that we have a baby, we want to bring the baby over with us but the cost for a 1 year old is ridiculous as the baby counts as children under 10 and gets charge half price, which is about half price as an adult. I guess we wont be going for quite a few years until it becomes more reasonable to pay half price for a young child.
Sadly this buffet has gone down hill in the past few years. Service is non-existant. They plop a jug of water on your table and that is it. At lunch there is a hostess who never smiles and knows nothing about service. There is one waitress who is not aware of her job. She never asks if you want drinks and is almost never available if you wanted some. Almost no drinks are ever bought because she never asks, just dump water and go. The place is physically run down. Two years ago we went to Christmas eve and New Years eve dinners and both were awful. The Christmas was the worst as we got the last seating time and they were busy tearing everything down when we got there and many food items were totally gone. I sincerely hope that when the new owners buy Newlands that the terminate all restaurant serving staff and office staff who are responsible for the restaurant and replace with people who actually know about service and who actually care. The people in charge certainly did not care that we had awful experiences on Xmas and New years. Parking: Lot of parking
Had their Sunday brunch buffet at $26.95 per person. Decent selection for the price! They had waffles, omelettes (made to order), roast beef, ham, and a variety of cold (salads, charcuterie), and hot dishes (eggs benedict, shelled shrimp, rice, to name a few). The roast beef was kind of dry, but I mightve gotten a bad cut. Our tables favourites were the roasted carrots & parsnips, mushrooms (cold salad section), and herb roasted potatoes. While nothing stood out from the remainder of the items, the selection was fair. The desserts were good! We werent expecting a large variety for the price, but they had a full table of options - cookies, cupcakes, jello, flan, fruit tarts, danishes, trifle, and some different cakes (tiramisu, lemon, strawberry). The dining room was packed, but service was attentive at water refills and picking up plates. Groups of 6+ are placed in a different room. The buffet area is the same, but the entranceway is separate. Lots of parking in their outdoor lots.
Great experience and good selection of delicious food!
I was surprised that the food they served was almost no different from their regular Sunday brunch, considering this was Easter Sunday brunch and they jacked up the price.... at least the Easter Bunny was there. BTW, food quality didnt quite make it either, the roast beef was too well done, and wheres the cold shrimps?
This is a very good golf course restaurant, weekend we come here for a party, is the buffet, I think the shrimp is not very fresh, the prime rib is very delicious, worth recommending. And the desserts here are good .
Delicious food with TONS of options, friendly and cheerful staff, with a formal yet comforting environment. Its the perfect buffet! The Sunday brunch is recommended.
We had been here a couple of years ago, and it was good on the weekend. This time, the seafood buffet and I was rather disappointed. They had salmon of course, a few other types of fish and prawns you have to peel yourself. There is no crab, halibut or lobster just as an fyi. Prices were adequate for what is available. The atmosphere is ok; however, it is beginning to appear dated, and the glass is not clean looking out. Our experience here was mediocre, I cant say that we will be rushing back anytime soon. I went there for the first time The roast beef was tender but a little smelly. There was so much food to eat that I got lost. The cakes are also small in size so they are easy to eat. It was delicious!
The service is good but the food is very bad 0 star
I love their food selections!!! Plus karaoke upstairs!!! Very nice place to celebrate something
The manager ( Rayme ) was not welcoming which was so disappointing for me at the very beginning of my entrance . She needs to be more flexible and friendly as a successful manager.
Excellent brunch buffet with great ambiance in this place.
The outdated furniture lacked charm, and the carpeted floor had an old-style aesthetic, diminishing the overall ambiance. Despite these drawbacks, the picturesque golf field view and good value for money were notable highlights. Regrettably, the buffet experience was marred by empty dishes that remained unfilled, contributing to a less satisfying dining experience. The limited dish variety and grumpy staff also affected the overall experience. Overall, the pictures on Google were much better than the personal experience.
Went to the seafood buffet and I was served uncooked roasted chicken. I wonder how the food standards are followed here. After pointing it out, there was no response from the staff or chef. I lost my appetite and left.
Great price for lunch buffet, lot of salad choices, tasty soup, and hot dishes, especially the salmon. Dessert were great, love the tiramisu and cheesecake. Beautiful golf court scenery by the window. Highly recommend and will be definitely go again. Food
Lunch buffet was disappointing, on Feb 12th. Fish was wasted with a terrible red sauce. Chicken was not done properly and not tasty. The cut fruit was not good it looked like left overs. Red velvet cake was terrible. I would not recommend the lunch buffet at all. No one asked me if I need a drink at all. Big contrast to their Sunday brunch..
Had a family dinner over the long weekend with 16 guests, Paras served us with a great and energetic attitude leaving us more than satisfied and deserving of a 5-star service rating!
Great selection of delicious food and the manager and staff are friendly. I highly recommend this gem.
Dessert, Salads, soup were ok. But... the mains were not well done. Leftovers from previous dinners(?) were probably used (thats ok) but the Turkey (and stuffing) was small pieces and although served with sauce was tough and dried out. The beef in the Beef curry probably came from leftover roast beef. Tasted ok but needed further cooking to soften the meat. Salmon in sauce was also tough. We had to ask for new drinking glasses as the ones on the table were not properly cleaned. One of the glass still had some orange pulp on it. About $23/person. Not expensive but wouldve been more enjoyable if the food were cooked better.
Our third year here for Christmas lunch/dinner buffet. Not a huge selection of food but it s enough for a satisfying meal. Price is great ($23 per adult for lunch). I would consider coming during the year for their other buffets offered.
We came from the US and decided to stop here for dinner. Worst food I think I ve ever had in my life. Please avoid at all costs.
Good place
We were very disappointed in our Boxing Day Brunch. We used to enjoy the buffet at Newlands for special occasions, but the quality has gone down significantly! What used to be a lovely array of fresh, delicious food, has become a variety of heavy and unsatisfying options. The omelet station was good, but that was about it. The salad bar lacked fresh fruit & veggies - just a soggy bowl of fruit cocktail, a bowl of lettuce & various heavily dressed salad alternatives (like slaw, pasta & potato salads that were too soupy). The food in the warming trays were cold, oily and unappealing. The most upsetting was the shrimp - none of them were deveined and had full sacs! Gross. The waitress was good, but that wasnt enough to save the meal. What used to be a favorite buffet, is now somewhere we cannot return to.
Breakfast buffet is very good, however, we paid quite a bit extra for the Christmas dinner and it was very disappointing. Costco buns, no variety of festive breads, carvers table had processed Turkey breasts, lamb was not good, seafood just ok and dessert table was terrible. Cold seafood table was same seafood as hot dishes. No decorations or festive Christmas decorations on the dessert table. Only cheap tarts and squares, nothing chef made, no Christmas themed cake or desserts. Very disappointing for sure. The entire table of 9 ranging in age from 17 to 88 didnt enjoy their meal overall.
New years brunch
I like the atmosphere of the restaurant . However, the food during week day needs to improve . The weekend buffet is very good
Very friendly staff and great food
What a lovely place for a family meal! Might make it a tradition great buffet!
We LOVE this place for its variety of buffets. Especially the Sunday Brunch. Usually the service is stellar, but today our server was very unattentive... thankfully a server whos worked us before took care of us. Best believe that she got a tip and not the other. Over all amazing food and selection. Its one of our favourite places to go... Brunch and Prime Rib nights!
We loved the brunch. Everything you can eat but should pay extra for the drink.
If you dont mind driving, its a great place to bring your familys with you
Great Service, good ambience, good food.
Probably the best value ($16.99 not including drinks) for a lunch buffet anywhere! Food was very good for the price - on the day I went, there was salmon, sausage, chicken, pasta, and a decent selection of vegetables and nice simple desserts. I think it was a bit busier than usual on the day we went, so it took quite some time to get seated and we waited for a long time after asking for the bill; however, the servers were friendly and courteous. Easily a ~$25 value; its a shame its so far from Vancouver!
The place is nice and its great for family events and gatherings. But the food seems to be the same. Nothing really new with the food they serve. Hopefully they can make a new menu to serve the many people who come and spend time with family and friends.
Didnt overly like the prime rib buffet. Food just ok. The brunch on Sundays is much better.
Service was great but the food was not very good. Tandori chicken had shards of bone. Decore is dated. I would recommend the brunch instead of the dinner buffet.
Prime rib was wonderful! However therere no soup and no ice cream for the buffet
The brunch buffet had great variety. Theres something for every taste bud.
Great Sunday brunch with friends. Enjoyed the fresh, hot breakfast and lunch choices. Large variety of salads and cold cuts and fresh fruit to choose from. Made to order omelette and waffle station. Friendly, attentive server. Wheelchair accessibility: Level entry and indoor spaces
Today (March 18th) I went to book the 70th birthday party for my mom for Sunday 9th April. I did not know they have a special reservation for Easter weekend and I was declined as the reservation window is not open until March 27th. I discovered this after driving 35 KM. This is such a special occasion and I wanted to make sure I talk to them in person and have special arrangement to celebrate this landmark event. Not only I was declined but what really made me unhappy when I heard we are too busy, we cant take special requests, we cant guarantee seating arrangement - these are the very unusual tone for hospitality industry. All I can say, you lost my business. I never felt so much humiliation when I was walking down the stairs through the exit. Good luck with your business Mr. A. I will never eat at your place.
This place has view of golf field if you get a seat by the window and it is a beautiful scenery indeed. However no food stood out much during our lunch buffet though quality was respectable. It was busy on Saturday and we wouldn t have been able to get the table if we didn t make a reservation. So book ahead of you want to try their buffet.
Went for the Sunday night buffet. Very few options..the meat was so dry like it was reheated from the previous day. No vegetarian options besides salad and rice. The dessert table consisted of approximately 9 plates with assorted squares and 1 pie. The plates were emptied and not refilled. Even after an hour . Will not be going back
Best restaurants in town Food excellent People excellent Food : 5/5
The seafood buffet on Thursdays is very bad
Just the worst experience here for Easter Sunday buffet. The food for the price is terrible, not many choices. Cold cut meats and cheese isnt something you need on a dinner buffet. Completely under staffed, drinks finally arrived AFTER we are the food. The waitress dropped half the drinks on the floor but thats not her fault just not enough to help out. Do not waste your money here.
Best find and live music The Music Variations. Kid-friendliness: Love the service Food : 5/5 |
The owner of this restaurant does not respond to nor try to resolve issues. I have written to them so many times looking for a refund but have never been acknowledged.
Great place for Sunday brunch. $25 per person with lots of options. Excellent breakfast items and changing lunch choices. Parking gets a little tight so give yourself a few mins to find a spot
I have been going to Newlands for years and having Sunday brunch, however in the last couple years I have noticed that the food variety has gone down quite a bit, and the pricing has gone up. I love the restaurant and buffet but the value just doesnt seem to be there anymore. Regrettably I dont think I will be going there for Sunday brunch anymore. Kid-friendliness: Newlands Mr As patio is a restaurant for families with large dining areas and specific buffets for children. Wheelchair accessibility: Completely wheel chair accessible, and plenty of disabled parking available.
This was our Mothers Day outing with the family and enjoyed the experience.
Great buffet
Great brunch buffet! Would be a five except: Decor needs an uplift. Took about 10 minutes to get a coffee because the wait staff were chatting by the roll ups Recommended dishes Sunday Buffet
A consist
We love a buffet and this one is pretty good. We went for the prime rib, which was ok. The yorkshire pudding was tough and hard, super disappointing as Im really only there for the yorkshire pudding. Dessert selection was ok. Love this place in general though. Growing up in the area, so many celebrations big and small have happened there, I always have good vibes going in.
The staff are nice, good and very helpful. They also are polite.
This is a buffet restaurant with plenty choices of foods, salads and dessert. Today we were here for lunch and main food was salmon, potatoe, squash, pasta, chicken,.... many choices for salad and sides and a couple of sweets, tarts and squares for dessert. Its a C$ 17 per adults for lunch ( Mon-Fri) but you have to reserve before coming. Drinks count separately. Stuff are very professional but I hope they were a bit more frindly. Sitting area is quite specious with view of golf course and different size of tables for any size of parties. Parking lot is free and big enough to find a spot even in rush hours.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair accessible Food
We had a great time! Superb food superb ambience!
Sunday brunch was amazing! Lots of people, but it was never too noisy and never felt crowded. The food was so good. Incredible selection and so tasty. I would not recommend the seafood buffet or the prime rib buffet. The selections are poor and not worth the money. Stick with the Sunday brunch
Not as good as it used to be sadly
Great place, affordable price, very friendly and professional staff
I dont know how anyone possibly gets a reservation here since they never answer their phone.
We are a group of 20 people and the waitress LACY was just smiling ALL THE WAY despite so many customers and duties! She won all our hearts! The best food and services ever! Vegetarian options: Varieties of choices
They don t pick up or return voice messages. How do people make reservations?
Food was great, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere
My husbands 60th birthday was a nightmare from the time I phoned to make reservations until the time we went upstairs to the live band , that was great. Food not great at Mr. A , called a few times to arrange for the 20 people I had coming and nothing was done as promised . Very embarrassing to apologize to guests who had no where to sit , no service for 45 min. Just awful .Had to ask for assistance 4 times . Will NEVER come back.
Been there twice, but there wasn t tiramisu either times. I am wondering when these cakes are available for the buffet. Hope to try them the next time when we visit the buffet there.
Mr A s Patio provides the best buffets in Metro Vancouver. Especially the Sunday buffet is highly recommendable. They do offer a lot of vegetarian dishes and the staffs are friendly.
Good atmosphere and great food. One of the better buffets Ive been to
The food is not of the same quality it used to be. It was okay but we were a bit disappointed. Less choices, French toast tasted like very stale bread to a point of being distasteful. No cheeses, dessert selection was limited and of poor quality. The apple strudel was very disappointing. Had some kind of cream cheese in it that was a big turn off for me. Chicken dish was unappetizing looking. Prawns were good. Egg Benedict was ok. Scrambled eggs had no flavor at all. Overall it was okay but not good enough to go back.
Unfortunately, although I believe our server was doing the best she could, she gave the appearance of being overwhelmed. We were a party of 12 that visited for the lunch buffet on a Wednesday. Our drinks were slow and our server was smiling but curt, appearing to have responsibility for the whole restaurant. I would suggest a management issue, maybe unable to have all of the necessary staff, just as many other businesses right now. The food was good. Selection and freshness very nice. We will come again, just not as a big group.
Not doing this place ever again.
Bday brunch attended by 6 adults. Excellent smorgasbord with varied and tasty main course dishes and salads. Dessert offers were also plentyfull and delicious. Service was top notch. Go and enjoy their delicious smorgasbord.
The food is ok but the service is terrible and the place is looking in need of maintenance and repair. Moldy broken window in the dining area. The servers dont need to do much besides bring drinks and the bill but cant do that in a timely manner. Not worth the money.
Amazing experience..good ambiance
Parking: We got there at 10:30 AM for the Sunday breakfast brunch which is absolutely amazing but parking is at a premium as there are hundreds of people there already Recommended dishes
Food quality is good but too less choices and a bit far tho Shrimp, mussel and dessert are my favourite but fruits can be better Food : 2/5
Great food! Especially considering it s a buffet. Great service. Except, the girl today working the front area of the restaurant. The one wearing the green dress. She was rude to almost everyone I saw her speaking to while we waited. She was short with people. Condescending. If she doesn t like the job, she should get one that she does. She made my wife u comfortable. She made the pregnant lady uncomfortable. The attitude is if you didn t make a reservation then why are you even here and I wouldn t bother waiting for a table because it could be hours and only if a reservation doesn t show up. Anyway. All other staff were amazing. Decor. Atmosphere. Food. All amazing.
Went to try out the Sunday brunch buffet and it was fantastic! Door was fresh and every station was great (only complaint would be the roast beef was not the greatest) and nice seafood selection! Highly recommend!
Upon arriving, I quickly noticed the hostess at the front, she was extremely short with people. One lady didn t have a reservation so she shooed her off to the side and just told her that s a problem . She then rudely asked if anyone did have a reservation. Just had the attitude of someone who hated her job. After being seated, we noticed it wasn t just her who hated her life. Other servers as well. The waitress we had, we only saw when she gave us our first glass of water and coffee, after that we had to flag her down multiple times for coffee and more water. Just feel like it s something that should be asked if needed not always having to wave her down. The food was mostly decent, though when we arrived a lot of the food trays were empty, some were quickly replaced. After a bit of eating, we both started feeling kind of sick, no it wasn t from eating too much, I wasn t full and just couldn t stomach the food anymore unfortunately. Eventually had to also ask for the bill and after asking for it, never had the debit machine brought over to pay- probably would have had to wave her down for that too, ended up just leaving cash. All in all, wasn t the greatest experience and felt unwelcome. At the end we used the washrooms which looked like the needed some cleaning, also saw one of there water glasses in there on the floor sitting next to the toilet, how appetizing. There was however one young lady clearing tables, she seemed to be the nicest one there.
Walk in, hostess not being friendly, did not ask me to follow her where Im setting, and on top of it she sat on the very corner of the restaurant where nobody can see you!!!! And the server came in I ask for coffee and eat my salad, little bit of lunch, still NO SHOW FOR MY COFFEE ORDER, and theres a couple came in, there been treated properly & nice and one customer came, AGAIN she got treated the proper way. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY OF MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS I dine in a lot in a different places but this experience is so awwwwfulllll
***this is a long review*** We were excited to finally try Mr. As Patio prime rib dinner buffet after having watched a YouTube review on it. First impression walking in was ok. Relaxing atmosphere, I especially liked the sunroom area. Food selection was just ok. Ive been to less expensive buffets that had good food to compliment the theme of their buffet. The prime rib was not what I was expecting, the meat was tough and soggy at the same time. The ribs were also tough and requires a better knife to cut. They could both use a lot more seasoning (salt and pepper) and more color on them, they were quite pale. The side dishes were ok, the pasta and the salmon were the only ones I enjoyed eating. The salad selection is your basic Caesar salad and a mixed greens along with some other cold salads. The cheese plate consisted of white and yellow cheddar, some fruits and cold noodles on the side. The dessert area consisted of your basic square cakes, the only one that I thought was ok was the cheese cake, the rest were mousses that were starting to deflate. I noticed that in both the salad/cheese area and the dessert had fruit flies flying around them. To sum up my experience, I think I expected too much from a golf resort buffet.
1 bartender/server & 1 cook. good service and food. And the karaoke guy was great. If you want to get your singing on! and cant wait till Friday go Thursday. Cheers
Parking: Hard to parking
We went to this place to have brunch (on Sunday) but I was not satisfied for a bill of about $28, because the quality of sea food was not good and also I never expected going to a brunch buffet and have to pay for any drink even coffee/tea separately, so odd and cheap! I will never go to this place again.
Was awesome and food was yummy
Good food always!
The group we came with was first class. The reception we got upon entering was first class. The server for our table was first class. The atmosphere right on the glass of the golf course is first class. There could have been many more serviettes on the table as there were sticky finger food in the buffet. The food was mediocre aside from the salmon. The mussels were mostly empty, and the shrimp were rather overcooked and chewy. The English muffin part of the eggs benedict were too hard to cut or bite so they were very messy (thats where the serviettes would have come in handy). I would have loved to see the desserts that are shown in pictures of past diners, but there was nothing outstanding. The price is fair, and Ill go back for the atmosphere, and the service. However, the food could be better.
Loved the Sunday Brunch buffet. So many options and they kept the food coming. Would like to try their other options for good measure. But a great first
Great buffet for the price. Nice views and good service. Parking in the weekend is a bit of an issue. Reservations are highly recommended. This place is popular
Service was lacking. Waitress never returned to fill up water glasses or offer other drinks once she had poured the first glasses of water. Buffet food not as good or equal to the Sunday buffet. Both the ribs and chicken which were the neat choices were over cooked. The salmon however was tasty Parking: Parking lot was very full
Continental buffet: Decent selection of salads and a fresh fruit salad which was good. One soup option. 4 meat options, rice, potatoes, green beans, one pasta dish, one carving station. Small table of dessert squares. Really not much of a buffet. I walked in and said what..this cant be it, but to my disappointment, it was. Food was average. Nothing more, nothing less. Pop, tea or coffee should be included in the cost. I dont enjoy going to a buffet and paying $4 for a glass of iced tea. Their pricing is too high for what you get. They have two pricing groups. Under 9 and Adult (10+) Many other places offer 3 and under free, or a very low cost for smaller children. My 4 year old had one scoop of pasta, one desert square and a ice tea. $20? Come on. Usually kids are 12 and under, not 9 and under, with smaller kids paying much less. Not here. They gouge. Everything about this place just puts you off. Atmosphere was not the best either. Maybe the other buffets are better, but for the cost, Im not going to bother. I came here years ago and it was fantastic, but Mr A is now Mr C-
Please remove the Tims youtube video of this seafood AYCE restaurant from their website... so different than what you can see from the video... view and service was nice, but... no pops and juices and coffees were included and variety of food was the biggest reason why I was so disappointed... I will try to tell more people not to go to this place. Brunch buffet may be worth the money and time.
Not too shabby...my favourite items were the char siu and spicy salted fried shrimps during the Sunday brunch. I should have tried more breakfast items though, my partner raved about them lol Heads up, drinks are not included with the price
Good seafood buffet, reasonable price. They always have prawns and a few types of salmon along with clams or mussels and different hot foods. Lots of salads and desserts as well.
I used it on a weekend evening. Each of the foods tasted good. They filled us up with food right away. I wish there were more types of food~^^ Still, I enjoyed the dessert. The service is good, and I plan to use it on a different day next time. I recommend it~~
Worst seafood ever!! Filthy dirty dining room..moss growing up the windows that were barely see-through..the prawns were head on with their guts still in and pure mush!! Will never return...after giving them our business for over 25 years!! DISGUSTING
The staff are lovely (Sal and Katya especially!), but the live music was far too loud even at the far window. Speaking of windows, we were right under one that was cracked and discolored in the atrium area, looks like its needed repair for quite some time. The food tasted fine, the prime rib was great, but the salad greens were swimming in about 2 of water at the bottom of the bowl - dressing cant stick to that! Overall its great theyre still doing good business, but the decor and menu could use a refresh/repairs, especially at $29.95/pp.
Excellent...!!!
Great fresh food at the buffet. Would recommend, one of best buffets in langely
Lunch buffet on Saturday. Ok tasting food, but hot foods were way too greasy/fatty.? I hate it when fat is added to food excessively without adding to the flavor. There weren t that many food options but for the price, it is very decent. There was stewed lamb (tasty but very fatty), baked salmon in creamy sauce (again greasy/fatty which is just too bad for a baked salmon) rice pilaf (too much added oil), a penne pasta (very fatty), hoisin chicken, roasted potatoes which was way too greasy and not even roasted well. For foods that s not fried, I am not sure why there is need to add that oil. The lentil soup was great, tasty and wholesome, and the only hot good not laden with fat. There were warm plain bread rolls, a life saver for me. Cold food consists of a salad bar - romaine, leaf lettuce, your hardier veggies and a variety of dressing and toppings to customize which is nice, bean salad, cold noodle salad, coleslaw, asian style salads, devil eggs were nice to see but too bad they were bland. Dessert bar - cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, pumpkin pie, Nanaimo bar, brownies, a couple other types of cakes/ mousse cakes. The cheesecake and chocolate mousse were ok, others were too sweet. After eating the meal, we felt full and bloated but malnourished and unsatisfied as the food was just too greasy and there were not enough quality protein and starchy dishes. I also ended up eating 3 plain bread rolls instead of the rice or pasta to avoid the grease. Drinks not included in the price but not a problem for us as we always drink water anyway. Atmosphere was nice. Large windows overlooking a nice green golf course. Really enjoyed the sunny day views. Service was ok, not great. Staff not coming around to fill water glasses enough. Hubby ran out of water and went to the bar to get his own jug. Unfortunately, we won t be returning unless they improve quality of the food. Too bad, I was excited to find a new favorite spot that s close to home.
Very good and fresh food that they refresh all the time!
Vegetarian options: Good vegie salads there too and other options too sorry didnt really check for vegetarians Parking: Lots of parking Kid-friendliness: Yes I could see some kids there too..thought about my 7 year old granddaughter she sometimes comes with us shed love it Wheelchair accessibility: The whole place sits on a ground level so helpful for wheelchair guests
Took my family to Mr. As on November 15th for lunch. Food was good but the mens washroom had no paper towels or hand sanitizer in the dispenser outside for the duration of our meal. At a buffet where germs are easily spread, this is not acceptable. I sent an e-mail to their administration including photos and received no response. No one seems to care.
So good
Busy and food is good
Used to visit regularly before covid, 1 of my familys favorite spot to gather .Recently we went about 2 weeks ago for Sunday brunch and the food selection has decreased. Server wasnt coming by for coffee or drinks. I had to go up to the server at the plate/cutlery station to ask for coffee. I asked the chef if my parents could get egg Benedicts without ham and he was very nice and said absolutely to simply let our server know she will go grab it and bring it to our table. We told our server twice but never got it.
Food was OK. Basa fish was the best part. Dessert were not very good. However the atmosphere was amazing loved the decoration and the warm vibe to the restaurant. Drinks were also delicious !
