Masala India Bistro in Langley

The lacha paratha was too thick and very very tough. Tandoori chicken completely dry. Chicken korma bland, bhindi was nice but bland. Lamb was ok. The stuffed roti was pretty much the one thing that was decent. Thought I would try a new place but now I know I won t deviate from my regular place.

Dal tadka was watery didnt seem like they cooked it properly. Kuku paka is not bad.

Best Indian food Ive ever eaten!!! And big portions too

Explained several times that my son was allergic to any peanuts, tree nuts peanut cooking oil. Was assured that there was none on the dishes we selected. When my son took a small small piece of roti dipped into curry he had an immediate reaction. He administered the epi pen himself and we had to find our way to the Langley hospital. Spent the next 6 hours there returning home before midnight.

One of the best Resturant in Langely. This is the first time I visited here. Food portion is very big and tasty. After long time I found restaurant where I had tasty and nice food. Atmosphere is very friendly. Visit here for tasty food. Shahi paneer was very tasty. I recommend you should come here and try and last have hot gulabjamun.

This place had some of the best biryani I have ever had. We asked for the hottest level of spice for the chicken vindaloo and biryani, and they did not disappoint. My husband took one bite and said the rest was for me. The staff was friendly and considerate with their service and suggestions. I wish they had this restaurant in washington state. The portions were large and the side of rice was more reasonable and large portioned compared to other restaurants in the area. Worth every penny (or Canadian currency equivalent).

I order food today chicken Vindaloo with medium spices in special instructions but when I receive order its so much spices in there even I cant eat and my stomach feel too much pain.when I called restaurant they said gravy is already made with hot spices so we cant make medium.its so weird they dont care of customers test and choice what they want.i wast my money and get pain in my tummy .

Best tasting AUTHENTIC Indian food!!

Absolutely amazing food. I decided to try something different and ordered the Fried Egg Rice what a pleasant surprise how good it was with the curries. Lamb Korma was exceptional to say the least. The Chicken Vindaloo was fiery and flavourful and the butter chicken was very tasty. I won t order anywhere else anymore I found my place

I ordered malai paneer with garlic naan i got worst taste of malai paneer and taste like green cardamom( elachi taste) and naan were burned.

Went in here with my boyfriend 2 days ago and oh my gosh I have never had better Indian food! The man who served us was so polite and the food was amazing! We got butter chicken and lamb curry which were both huge portions and the garlic naan was phenomenal. I can not wait to go back!

I usually love this place, the food is delicious, however I ordered tandoori roti with chilli chicken, the tandoori roti all 8 pieces were rock hard as if they were cooked along time ago then thrown in the microwave prior to my arrival for pick up. I usually order here at least once a week. I m definitely not impressed with this kind of cooking practice, I did not appreciate un fresh food it was definitely thrown in a microwave and then sold to a reoccurring customer. Not cool at all ! I am very surprised, considering the food has been fresh to my standards until now. You most certainly lost a consistent customer over bad food practices like this what a waist of 34$ with a 15% tip on a pick up order.

We were so glad to have tried this place today for dinner. We tried various of the dishes including butter chicken, masala lamb, and naan. Every dish was very rich in flavor. The portions were generous. The server was so polite and gracious with us. We will definitely be back!!!

There were 4 of us for dinner. We ordered 2 Butter chicken with rice and Naan. Fed the 4 of us with leftovers to take home. The Butter chicken was delicious. Parking: Free parking behind the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Both front and rear entrances are ground level and wheelchair accessible.

Samosas are flavourless. Only potatoes inside. I had to order from a different place. (The Great Indian Cusine)

Dishes dont taste familiar to what one would expect them to taste. Feels like the dishes are rushed by a home amateur cook just starting to find their feet in the kitchen... Onions are crunchy and not properly sautéed, hard spices are harsh and bitter and over powers any flavour profiles one might expect. A disappointment after receiving such friendly prompt service by the host.

Amazing. We decided to change from our usual spot to try something new and now we have a new usual spot! Ordered through DoorDash and it arrived hot and full! Large portions, meat to sauce ratio was perfect, and the Biryani was delicious! Highlight of the meal was the Lamb Korma. Flavour was amazing and the spice was perfect.

We had dinner for 2 at $45 dollar special. And it was Delicious, satisfying and very balance on flavors. You havent taste anything like it. The samosas are something else. You better try this restaurant if you really like Indian food. It will change your perspective about it.

4th visit in past month, food very tasty/ flavorful. Staff friendly. VINDALOO dishes can however be taken down a notch, Way to hot so not as enjoyable as other dishes. It is a spicey dish, but Ive had it @ other Indian Restaurants without THAT amt of HEAT! Staff friendly, Venue decor& cleanliness appropiate. First impression is everything and their food definitely impressed the entire family. Spices were on point. Lamb was extremely tender. Butter chicken had at least two whole chicken breasts in the extremely generous portion. we enjoyed it so much I even called them personally the next day to show appreciation. We always seem to rant about bad experiences that we seem to forget the good ones. Masala has gained a regular customer.

Amazing! This is our favourite Indian restaurant by far. The service is always fast and amazing. We also love that they can sub in tofu for the paneer. So great for people who dont do dairy but used to love paneer dishes.

Chicken rogan josh is one of my favourite dish in menu. It s flavorous, chicken was so tender.

The service is very good and food is delicious also. Harpreet served the food very well. Behaviour was quite impressive.

Had to throw it away, food tasted weird and was off putting, its definitely not what Indian food should taste like. We normally order from diamond sweets in Langley for our Indian food delivery. We thought wed try something different, turned out to be a big mistake and huge waste of money. Ordered 4 dishes and all tasted really bad. I cant even recognize the taste, the kids didnt like it, my parents didnt like it and nor did I. The garlic nans had a weird green tint to them, looked more like food coloring/flavoring than actual real ingredients. The channa masala was over powered with a weird taste as were the other dishes. The butter chicken dish was dry and flavourless, as was the appetizer sampler, which included a somosa, veggie pakoras, chicken and fish pakoras and paneer pakoras all thrown together in a brown paper bag. All the pakoras felt like they had been refried and had lost all semblance of taste (I couldnt tell if I was eating a chicken or fish pakora). Definitely will not be ordering from here ever again. Havent complained about food before but felt the need here to warn others.

Location is good. Ordered chicken and daal makahni for takeout. Food was delicious. Though Daal Makahni didnt have the daal makahni taste but it tasted good so taking one star off. Nice place to order indian food if you stay in langley. We ordered close to their closing time but they took the order and we picked up right at closing time.

My favourite go to place for Indian food for sure! My friend recommended it to me years ago and I keep going back. The chilli chicken is amazing, flavourful and spicy with fresh bell peppers. The biryani is delicious- our go to is the veggie but we ve tried the chicken as well and it s great. Very friendly employees. Highly recommend! Oh and always get a side of garlic naan, yum!

Amazing food, huge portions, fresh as ever. Small welcoming setting, family owned and run and it shines through in both quality and service. What a gem of a spot. We have eaten both in and taken out and both are amazing. Tikka masala, lamb vidaloo, garlic naan ! My faves and they absolutely nail it. Spice levels are adjusted to your liking and trust there is a big difference between spicy and mild.

Was rated #1 for Indian food on Uber Eats so we decided to give it a try . As stated in other reviews the garlic naan was lime green? Artificial garlic ? Tasted off to us and we threw it out. The rest of the order was not good as well. Worst shahi paneer we ve ever had. Chicken Tikka huge portion of chicken breast but it was dry, bland and tough. The sampler appetizer was all dried out. The only decent thing was the samosa. Heard great things about this place but we won t be ordering again .

Went for the first time during the DLBA Fork & Finger event. So glad I got to know about this place. Delicious food, fast and friendly service. Very generous portion that still left you wanting more. Just wish they accepted Downtown Dollars too.

Beware! Got food poisoned! Ordered the butter chicken and tandoori fish through UberEats, but my family is suffering all day today. These type of restaurants probably cut corners and don t want to throw away expired or old food. It s a shame they are still in business. So many negative reviews and I made the mistake to not listen to them. Don t trust those positive reviews!

Fave Indian restaurant in town! Always great service & delicious food!!! Our fave is the goat curry! Everything we ve tried on their menu has been excellent - also love the spinach stuffed naan! Mango Chutney, Mint Chutney & Palak Paneer!

Placed order for the first time and it turns out horrible. Ordered khadai paneer and chicken biryani, both were tasteless. The chicken biryanis first bite felt like eating very old/rotten chicken inside. Khadai panner was full of onions and bell peppers and hardly any paneer. Called at store and got reply,this is how we make it. They didn t have courtesy to apologize. Dont waste time and money at this place.

Best in Langley hands down

Went to indian affair, but they had a 40 minute wait. So we went into downtown Langley and found this gem. The place was empty surprisingly, and we got served/got our food within 5 minutes. The food was very fresh and delicious. For $25 we got more food than we needed for two, and ended up taking our rice home.

I mean the place is decent but lately when I have ordered the lamb vindaloo the mix of lamb to potatoes was 80:20 but lately it s been 50:50. I d rather call it potato curry with lamb

Excellent food. We enjoyed every dish. The prices are competitive and the serving containers for takeout or large. We were going to do takeout but it was so hot out that we decided to eat in the restaurant and it was no problem. We tried the egg plant masala, chicken tikka, and lamb masala. All were delicious.

1) Friendly and polite supervisor . 2) Medium spicy request was taken genuinely as the Shahi Paneer turned out to be well balanced and very nice. 3) Samosas are tasty too.

The only thing I ordered and continue to order from this restaurant is their veg Biryani. It is delicious. Too bad they dont give raita with it. You have to buy it extra. Hoping to try more items from their menu soon.

We enjoy going here for Indian food. The lunch platter is a great deal and a ton of food. We like to get several dishes to share for dinner and it always ends up with plenty of leftovers. And the Chai. Nothing compares to home made Indian Chai Tea. I could go there and drink it every day. Mmmm. In short, authentic Indian cuisine with great service. We are repeat customers. I would share a photo except we eat it too quickly to remember to take one.

Every few months we order butter chicken, basmati rice, and garlic naan for takeout. It has always been hot and delicious! They always prepare it more quickly than you might think, too.

We tried both veg and non-veg thali. The serving was quite large and the taste seemed fine.

Disappointing. Ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka, and Kuchumber Salad. Butter Chicken and Tikka both had large dry chunks of chicken breast that did not have as much flavor as expected. Kuchumber Salad was more like a house salad with dressing that was not very tasty. Lots of lettuce, not much cucumber and onions were big slices and could not find any cilantro.

I have tried food from so many Indian restaurants all over the lower mainland and other areas near Vancouver and Fraser Valley, but this one stands out completely with its taste and preparation. One would not expect a really good tasting food from a simply laid out restaurant. Recently moved to the neighborhood and started exploring for Indian food and ordered through a bunch of different restaurants via third party apps. Started with their lunch special as a simple order to understand the quality and taste. It was consistently good every time we had ordered. Couple weeks later, had a small gathering so placed an order for 15 people catering, 2 hours before the event. The chef took special interest and prepared an exquisite Dal makhani and Kadhai Paneer. Not too over powering with all the spices but a perfect blend set on low heat for hours could be distinguished from all other dals I had throughout the city or even back in India (ref. Dal Bukhara). The order was prepared quickly, packed nicely and delivered carefully. Ever since, this has become my go to place for Indian food and been referring to all my friends who share similar thoughts. Still yet to try other snacks and mains from the place.

Exceptional customer service we been eating at this place for everyday during our vacation. We called and resturant and they made aloo paranthas specially for us even though they are not even listed as an item in menu. Hope they list this item in their menu, it reminded me of my college days. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Vancouver area.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time and I usually never write reviews on food but this food was beyond disgusting. The garlic naan had green stale garlic on it with no flavour, the tandoori fish smelled stale like it was last weeks fish just reheated, also it had chewy undercooked parts ! The veg biryani smelled so awful that I literally almost threw up , and the taste was unbearable! Never have I tasted Indian food this bad !! I am never picky with my Indian food, but this food was not appetizing nor palatable ! Im sure if I ate another bite I would have gotten food poisoning. I think you can scam non Indians with your disgusting food but not ppl who has been to places like tasty Indian bistro and then eat from here ! The standard is beyond different. I mean even some low grade Indian restaurants have fresh tasting food. So that says a-lot about your restaurant. Also the food was poorly packaged in low grade plastic containers and was spilling everywhere inside the bag. Im just appalled that I had to have this bad experience. never again ! What a waste of food and money ( 70 dollars to be exact ).

It s my first time trying Langley Indian restaurant since moved from Surrey. I try their Samosa for my family gathering. Every one appreciate the food and it s better then surrey restaurants. Thanks you for great experience.

Tonight s dinner was the best hmm hmm hmm. Always fresh and they serve lots more than enough and always consistent. The host is very polite and caring and remembers everyone s name. This is the spot and no sleepy feeling either after eating. This is going to be my regular spot.

First time trying this particular Indian restaurant. Their food was very good. Very flavorful. Spiciness levels werent overbearing. HOWEVER, the sauce to meat/substance ratio was very unbalanced. About 85% of each dish was all sauce. And for this reason, I likely wont be choosing them again, which is too bad.

I order dahin bhalle through skip the dishes and I tried to break the bhalla with spoon with my full force but bhalla was not breaking so tired with my teeth it tasted like fungus so I called the owner DEEPAK he said he checked it was nice while packing and they made it this morning and he was stammering as he was not sure about his own product .. don t buy from them you have no idea what you are eating .. and they don t apologize I have informed food department about it in Langley .. Save Ur Self People

Ordered fish pakora on a house party. Worse fish pakora I ever had. Fish doesn t feel fresh and was dry. Even the colour of pakoras was weird. I am not going to order from this place in future.

We dont get Indian food much. My husband doesnt care for it much, however I love it and I know good food. This was so awful I called to tell them. They didnt care at all. Super disappointed!!
