5572 204 St, Langley, BC V3A 1Z5, Canada
A restaurant focusing on high end ingredients from local farm.
My favorite meal I've ever had in Canada. Small, cozy ambiance, great food, friendly, knowledgeable staff and fair prices. An absolute gem
Annora stands out as a hidden gem offering exquisite West Coast cuisine that rivals the best dining spots the lower mainland. Our family enjoyed the carefully curated and beautifully plated prix fix menu. We also enjoyed the intimate and relaxed dining experience. Can't wait to go back!
The Best Meal and restaurant experience we’ve had in years! 5 Star quality food, service and Ambiance! It was our 32nd wedding anniversary and we were lovely greeted by a hostess and seated to our reserved table with a mention of our anniversary and congratulations. Our server, Courtney, was beautiful, well spoken, kind and attentive. We went with the three course meal menu, which is an incredible value for what you get! Appetizers of scallops and truffle mushroom & goat cheese salad, with some bread, and to Die for caramelized butter! We both had the duck entree, which was amazing! The chef, Aaron, came out to greet us and congratulate us before our incredible dessert of lemon cheesecake and chocolate mousse that came along with complementary port as an anniversary gift. We will be back many times, and cannot highly recommend this restaurant enough! Well done, Mr. Turkstra and staff!
Really enjoyed our dinner here tonight. Tried a large variety of dishes and pretty much everything was very tasty and felt fresh & healthy. I think the perogies were my favorite. The portions are quite small but the prices weren't exorbitant, so don't hesitate to order a bunch of different things to try.
Upon walking into this restaurant there was a (not-so-nice) distinct smell, but I figured why not give it a chance. We ordered the caesar salad, short rib pierogies, curry chicken skewer, and truffle gnocchi to start. Every single one of our starters were delicious. For our mains we ordered the chicken, and beef short ribs. We both loved our main dishes. We felt like we had to order dessert because everything else tasted amazing lol. So then we ordered their special of the day dessert - Apple crisp cake with caramelized apples and crumble on top. I'll be honest, the cake itself was a bit stale but the caramelized apples and crumble made the dish. Overall, this restaurant is really great. On a side note: I'd definitely recommend vacuuming their floors, dusting their furniture and signs at the front table, cleaning their tables (my table cloth had stains on it), and maybe updating their decor. For such great food, the restaurant itself looks like there is a lack of effort and care in its maintenance and overall appearance; which is extremely unfortunate.
Coming from North Vancouver, I had heard to stop by Annora if ever in the neighbourhood. Turns out it was even better than expected - and Aaron the owner brought is in with a smile, even though they had closed after lunch. The food is impeccable, fresh, and delicious. The service - outstanding!! Definitely will be back!
We have visited on a number of occasions and were happy each time with the service and quality of food we had. The house white is a favorite of ours and it's quite rare that a restaurant serves a quality white as such. A credit to the owner and chef who curated their offerings masterfully and continue to deliver.
Great restaurant with delicious food. I've never had gnudi before and throughly enjoyed it as an appetizer. The stuff chicken breast was cooked perfectly and the flavours of the dish were well balanced. The braised beef was also amazing and tender. Our dessert was lively and the perfect size as well. All in all good restaurant with friendly staff. Would recommend checking out especially if your looking for something a little more fancy in Langley.
Was there a few weeks back and there was a new waitress and she was rude, condescending and spoke to us like we were children. The food prices have gone up but the portion sizes have gone down. Our first two appies were burnt - no concession was offered. When I tried to call to give feedback I was hung up on. Seriously horrible customer service, really gone down hill from the last time we went. With the cost of food going up, were now going to find a place with affordable food and better service.
Unbelievable experience. The foods were absolutely amazing. We will definitely come back with our family.
Must make reservations, normally 30 days 0r more if booking for 6, there is only @ 10 tables, and it well worth it, we & 4 friends enjoy going together
This was a Favorite of our group but the prices have gone up, the portion sizes have gone down. The Service isnt as friendly and helpful as it was. The Parking and access is bothersome. You are restricted and reminded that you only have less than 2 hours at your table before you have to leave on a Tuesday evening, yet not told when booking your table. Dont waste your time or money, Go down the street to Atlas, or Food by Fanta.
Another fabulous meal at Annora! Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the meal. I had the pork belly gnocchi and my sister had the short rib perogies to start. Amazing! Dinners were the chicken, short ribs, cod and beef. Again, all fantastic! Chambord martini was so good! Can t wait to go back again. Already made our next reservation. Great service, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I have lived in Langley for almost 45 years and I would say this is the best restaurant around.
Excellent food! Highly recommended restaurant! A hidden gem! Restaurant location and interior don t match up with the awesome food they serve. I feel they deserve to be at better location and in a revamped place for the full experience of greatness they have potential for.
This was our best dining experience to date. The food was exceptional, and the thoughtful plating enhanced each dish. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment!
We decided to venture out to Langley in search of a new experience for restaurant. Annora Restaurant did not disappoint. Don t be discouraged by the ordinary front of the building or the tiny restaurant/entrance. This venue hit all the right notes where it matters most. The seating with the glass separations, love that!! The food, the food!!! OMG!! Amazing!!! Cortney (apologies if the spelling is wrong) she was the icing!! She was very informative, professional and made us felt welcomed. We didn t take any pictures but will definitely get some on our next visit.. You absolutely deserve to enjoy the food at Annora Restaurant in Langely.
I m excited to share this review with you because this place is a gem! Step into this quaint little spot in Langley City for some amazing food. A friend introduced us to it and we can t wait to go back. We tried the short rib pirogies, scallops, gnocchi, fish and prawns and the special wagyu flank steak. Wow, all of it was super delicious! Desserts also great. If you re a foodie you re definitely going to want to book a table. Trust me when I say you re gonna love it.
Absolutely amazing, great service and incredible food in such a cozy environment, for the price such great value. Delicious duck, fish and the perogies.
It was a beautiful atmosphere well approached. Like courtesy to other customers as I listened through. Chef came out to a table and made accommodations for a lady which was very thoughtful and understanding. All I know I found it to be change of pace for a nice dinner. I would come again without a hesitation.
Another fine night with friends, and a great restaurant, that is as intimate as it is creative.
Absolutely extraordinary. We went here with another couple and we all enjoyed our meals so much that we immediately booked another reservation. My husband and I shared the gnudi. I had the steak Dianne and my husband had the lamb. Cooked to perfection and every mouthful was eye closing delicious. Parking was easy on the street and free as well. Admittedly, it s a hole in the wall. Claustrophobic and a little dark. But the service was lovely and the food more than makes up for it.
Worth recommending to friends. Awesome food. Delicately prepared.
The appetizer curry prawns were quite generous, the gnocchi were super flavorful, and the chicken was cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Very good!
We were a group of 17 for lunch. The atmosphere, service and food exceeded our expectations. We will be looking at booking future lunches here. A hidden gem.
This is a hidden gem. No matter what you order, you will never have bad food. The chef and owner is a nice guy and remembers people who dine here. His staff are friendly. I put 4 stars for atmosphere only because theres no view or fancy decor. However I actually love the atmosphere because you can get the 3 course meal with equivalent of Michelin star food for $40 and come in casual dress. Its a small cozy welcoming place. Parking: Across the street from the restaurant there is free parking. Additionally there is free street parking in front of the restaurant as well.
The best food in Langley. Good luck getting a reservation.
Celebrated my 50th Birthday here with a large group and to say that we had an epic evening would be an understatement. The superb quality of the beautifully presented dishes, the perfectly balanced flavours, the outstanding hospitality and some fabulous wine options all combined for a perfect evening celebrating the half century milestone. Thank you Chef Turkstra and team for a night I ll never forget. You truly have something special in Annora. Keep being the BEST!
Chef! Puts heart into this..
The food at Annora is delicious! I will definitely be back
Annora Restaurant exceeded all expectations! Every plate was a masterpiece, so much so that our table of 6 left not a single crumb behind. The gnocchi was simply out of this world! What sets Annora apart is the fine dining quality at casual dining prices. An absolute gem worth visiting time and time again. Highly recommended for an unforgettable dining experience!
The food tasted very good if you have a small appetite then this is the place for you. I will not be back for the money I paid over 230.00 with the tip. Dinner for 2 may not be for you. Birthday meal was not worth it at this establishment.
Wonderful food and a nice cozy atmosphere.
A true Gem ! fantastic food, Exquisitely prepared by a truly dedicated and experienced chef ! excellent service ! with attention to every detail ! also very reasonable with consideration to the quality of all entrees and desserts ! a must try ! Best restaurant in langley !!! 5 STAR consistently.
Its possibly one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The food and service demanded a far higher price than what I found on my bill at the end of the night. Like revealing a prized fishing hole, I dont want to let you all in on the secret, spoiling it for myself, but this place is just too good.
Absolutely, as always an amazing dinner. From start to finish, nothing more was required flavour wise. Cooked, seasoned, and plated to perfection. Parking: Lots of street spots as well as lots behind with up to 3 hours free.
Annora came highly recommended. Went there for lunch today and it did not disappoint. The food was all local and fresh - very delicious. Was greeted and cared for by Chef Aaron which was a nice touch. Ill be back again!
Trying to find a new dining experience and the algorithm God decided to recommend Annora that day and what a blessing it was. I shared the shrimp appetizer and the pork belly gnocchi, it was truly a dance of savory and sweet flavors. It was light and creamy, it was beautiful. The entree of halibut was a delight and finally a nice sweet chocolate browny to end the evening with a smile.
6 of us went for a birthday dinner and brought our own birthday cake. We all deliberately chose this restaurant as we like to support local businesses. Dinner was OK as my $40 beef meal with 2 pieces of asparagus and a piece of beet the size of a loonie barely covered the plate with the potatoes and meat. It was also only room temperature. Some meals were OK but mine was not the only cold or lukewarm meal. A bottle of wine for $45 and my $40 meal came to $110 for just me. Most also had appetizers. We were served our birthday cake and all alarmed to find all 6 of us had a $7 cake cutting charge for a total of $42 because we brought our own cake! When we asked the owner he was quite rude and said he told us (he did no such thing). We all appreciate the plates and serving took time but this was ridiculous. More ridiculous was this owners rude and arrogant attitude particularly since we never even complained about the food. We have all been to this restaurant more than once before but none of us will be back!! Contrast that to today at cactus club where our friend was asked if they d like a birthday dessert .beware as this is not a 5 star restaurant.
Worst experience Ive ever had in a restaurant. Waitress was condescending from the start. She ended up bringing the wrong wine (after correcting us on how the one we ordered was pronounced) and then when we tried to get her attention , she put up her finger and said not right now. When we were finally able to flag her down and politely tell her that it was the wrong wine, she treated us like we were scum and didnt make eye contact after that. She just avoided us entirely and it was the most uncomfortable thing Ive ever experienced. We didnt even try the food, we got up and left. Pretty sure that they put the glass of wine we sent back right back into the bottle.
What a treat! For a birthday surprise, I took my daughter out to this acclaimed restaurant. I had only heard good things yet had not yet experienced it. We were delighted with each course. Each appetizer was absolutely delicious and the main courses were beautifully served and so tasty! We had a lovely server who was so pleased that we were enjoying each bite so immensely. I would highly recommend this place for a sweet culinary experience.
I mean this is by far the best restaurant I have visited in Langley. From the service and the food everything was perfect. I loved it so much! They demonstrated that you don t need a fancy space to create an amazing experience for your customers.
My favourite restaurant in Langley. Food is always fantastic along with the service. We were so lucky to have found this hidden gem. Highly recommend the steak diane, gnocchi, crab cakes. Honestly everything I ve tried is amazing.
My family dines here regularly and the handful of times Ive joined in has been excellent. The food is rich but not overly, the flavours are curated and thoughtfully executed. I always recommend Annoras if you have a special occasion and to get a reservation well ahead of time. Kid-friendliness: Would not recommend for younger children.
Great food and service
Cute little spot with amazing food
Came here for my wife s birthday and it did not disappoint. We started with the Mussels and Crab Cakes. Both were super flavourful! For mains we had the duck and the Beef Duo (Tenderloin and Short Rib). Again everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Dessert we had the Squash Cheesecake and the Sabayan. Again, super tasty. Service was also great. We will be back soon!
Always amazing!! Chef Aaron is a wizard!!
Awesome food and great service . .
My wife, Dale, and I went there last night for the first but certainly not our last time. We decided on the $40 - 3 course meal. We both had the entre of the day which was Braised short rib and Filet steak combination , with real mashed potatoes, carrots, asparagus, and pea pods. It was extremely good. Not a huge entre but just right. I started with Bison meet balls in a sauce to die for. We ended with the cheese cake which was very good. We had glasses of wine that were very good and very reasonable. They are open for lunch and we will be going. They also have happy hour from 3-6 with several interesting items to eat. The server was friendly, good, and very helpful. A great meal for a reasonable price and as fine dining as any place we have been. Left satisfied but not stuffed. Vegetarian options: Yes there are Vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: They seemed more than willing to accomodate. Parking: A number in front and many across the street. Kid-friendliness: Didnt see any but although they probably would allow them , I do not think kids would necessarily enjoy themselves Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, easy access.
An amazing restaurant with lovely staff and delicious food! I would highly recommend this restaurant! The chef/owner came over and chatted with us for a few minutes, ensuring we had enjoyed everything.
Annora is a beautiful little restaurant that offers quality dining options. We opted to go with the $40 menu which allowed us to try their gnocchi, lamb and one of their seasonal desserts. The menu has increased by $3 to $43 but still worth the value!
Absolutely one of the best meals Ive had hands down. The skill and craft that goes into each very dish is unlike anywhere else, and I feel so much gratitude with every bite knowing how much care and pride goes into preparing the meal. Love this local gem!
This restaurant is a real gem in downtown langley. Service with a smile and the food was cooked to perfection both times I have dined their. The restaurant is small and the price is reasonable so you have o book well in advance.
Food was fantastic both in flavour and presentation. Service was great. Highly recommend and will go back.
I ve heard about this place through word of mouth, it looks pretty small outside so it was very busy inside! This place was full for a reason, luckily we made reservations! The food was delicious although in smaller portion size. The staff was polite although not always around, as we did have to wave for attention a few times.
In my opinion, the best restaurant in the fraser valley.
Came here with my guy for a late Valentines dinner. Found them through a Google search for local restaurants. I didnt have any expectations but we were both blown away by every dish we had. We had the pork belly gnocchi and the short rib perogies to start. For our mains we have the sablefish (to die for) and the rack of lamb (melt in your mouth). For dessert, the citus vanilla curd and espresso cheesecake - both made in house and both scrumptous. You can taste the passion behind the food. The service was wonderful as well. The food came out promptly and was presently professionally. The only reason Im giving four stars is because the restaurant atmosphere is very hole in the wall. Honestly though, with food that good, SCREW ATMOSPHERE; Id rather they put all their effort into the food (you know, the main reason you go out to eat...) than making the place look Instagram ready. Recommending this place to my friends and family for their next date night. I cant wait to find an excuse to come back. Well done.
Hidden gem in Langley. Absolutely delicious food, I highly recommend it. Will definitely be coming back.
Damnnnnnn this place is a genuine hidden gem. Call ahead. The chief n food is fantastic
Everything was amazing
Brilliant lunch! Food exceptional and a long chat with the owner. I will happily patronize and recommend Annora.
Food is absolutely fantastic. We loved everything we ordered today. After we finished the dinner, we made another reservation in the coming April.
I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in Langley City. The service was excellent and the food was amazing with great presentation. Make sure you reserve a table as it is an intimate setting and seating is very limited.
Wow! I can t get over how good the food is here. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. This is my favourite restaurant from now on. Prices are very reasonable for what u get. Not a fancy looking place but the food is very Michelin star calibre. I m very conflicted on if I tell the world about it & never get reservation here again or keep it a secret
Went last week for a birthday celebration, a party of 9. Had a fabulous time excellent food, service, and of course a wonderful chef!! I had the Moroccan style halibut, absolute heaven Parking: Just across the street public parking free Wheelchair accessibility: Street level entrance, dining table set with chairs (easy to move)
Nice it s actually good
So good. The food melted in my mouth. They have no business making food that good. Oh my goodness. I m still in shock. It was so good, I had to write this review while still sitting at the table. The steak, chicken, and short rib were all amazing. The crab cakes were so yummy and soft and amazing. I can t wait to try dessert.
Excellent food! The seared scallops and gnocchi appetizers in particular were fantastic! Also had the duck, guava cake and strawberry mousse - all very good! Service was just right. Ambiance was a little lacking; everything was a little tired and other tables were very close to us (a personal dislike, I acknowledge). But we would go back here and would definitely recommend! We did have to book a month in advance to get in for dinner on a weekend.
We went for our anniversary. Everything we ate was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
The best place in Langley for a high class meal. My family celebrates all big occasions here. The food is fresh and local, the service is fast and welcoming and the chef Aaron is amazing.
A hidden gem in Langley. Highly recommended.
Annora is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. I visited for lunch and dinner and both were fantastic experiences
Tight seating. Portions are small.
Not only is the food excellent, but they were so accommodating when I had to cancel a standing reservation last minute! Highly recommend! Photo: squash cheesecake and chocolate mousse.
A hidden gem! The food is absolutely incredible. The service is wonderful too. Highly recommend this restaurant! It is small so book reservations in advance. The food is so delicious and it is definitely a fine dining experience but fairly priced.
Excellent food, superb quality and professional service. Fantastic
The perfect place for an intimate date night. Make sure to book a few days in advance, the tables are limited and it s popular because the food speaks for itself.
1. First bread is hot and fresh, perfect. 2. Second bread is cold and hard, bad. 3. Appetizers are interesting and delicious. 4. Short rib is mediocre, lack of wow flavour. We Second visit: they should really increase the prices. The quality of the food deserves a higher compensation. Also, its too hard to reserve a table. Very crowded every time. ordered medium well wagyu, but we got well done hard chewy pieces. 5. Desserts are very good. We are happy to find this good restaurant in Langley, hope everything gets better in future. Maybe the first Michelin star restaurant outside of Vancouver.
Dinner was fantastic. I guess amazing food comes from small, cozy restaurants.
The best place to dine and create a memorable experience, celebrate. Everything s top notch. First class. Thank you for a lovely evening. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Wheel chair accessible.
I agree with the previous comment about the not-so-nice smell . That was our warning to turn around and not eat there. Seriously, the smell is so bad in there that I felt like throwing up. Even after sitting there for half an hour. I never got used to it. Seeing that this has been pointed out before, management should deal with this issue. The server/chef had a filthy black apron on with food bits all over it. That grossed me out as well, especially since it was at eye-level. He should wash it more often, or better yet buy white ones and wash them daily. The food wasn t that good either. The flavours were unusual but not in a good way. I wouldn t go back there at any price, and the price was a bit high.
My first visit to Annora was great! The scallop spaghetti was amazing, I loved the red pepper sauce. The squash cheesecake was so good. Small location which is awesome so make sure you get a reservation booked!! Cant wait to go again.
Great food.
Went for my 65th birthday. Had the Chefs plate & it was a fabulous meal. Can t recommend it enough!
Fantastic find In downtown Langley
Very tough to get a table here but when you go there you ll understand. Small dining room creates an intimate atmosphere yet not pretentious. The food menu was well designed and the specials were superb. Wine by the glass could use some more options. The food was absolutely beautiful. Service was attentive and genuine. The food came out a little fast but that s a small Matter. We had a lovely time and highly recommend it. Parking not great but plenty within a short walk.
Actually 6 , one of the best meals ever. The staff are top notch, service was perfect. The exquisite flavour combinations of the duck and the melt in your mouth braised short ribs cannot be better. We will definitely be back
Outstanding food. One of the best places to eat in the Fraser Valley. A must.
Everything is spectacular. All fresh, complex, complementary flavours and ingredients. The 3-course menu is excellent value the duck breast is done to perfection. It s our go-to date place and show-off place to friends.
Hands down favourite restaurant. Highest quality food, locally sourced and you cant beat the price. Amazing service too. Highly recommend!!
I have been here a few times. Love their food. I called to make a reservation on Tuesday and the one picked up the food was rude. Its okay if you are full and do not have space. However there is no need to be rude. It left such a bad taste. We will NEVER be back.
Disappointing
A great restaurant tucked into downtown Langley serving outstanding Pacific Northwest cuisine. We started with the Coconut Curry Mussels. The mussels were cooked perfectly and the broth was full of flavour and nice and creamy. For entrees, we had the Braised Beef Short Rib and Rack of Lamb. Both were excellent. The short rib was braised down to the point where it melts in your mouth. The lamb was cooked perfectly at medium rare, seasoning was just right and so delicious. The people working there were friendly and professional. This place is close by and will be back to try more dishes.
Great food, and great experience eating there. Highly recommended, very impressed with the quality and service! A real hidden gem of a fine-dining restaurant in Langley!
The food and staff are incredible. Love this place, its our new date night restaurant.
5 stars arent enough to describe the quality, care, and precision put into the menu and service here. The mussels are to DIE for, and my husbands short rib was fork-tender and seasoned to perfection.
Exceptional cuisine. Great service. Best bang for the buck.
Excellent food and great service!
We loved Annora! Drop the mic. The customized tasting for our group was delicious, elevated and hit the spot on our food tour. I absolutely loved the wine and savoury bites . Thanks your for sharing your culinary gifts. Spicy Jan
Heard about this place for years! We found a babysitter, so we could come enjoy this meal in peace. All the food are cooked perfectly, ingredients are amazingly fresh. We enjoy every bite.
Delicious, unique flavour combinations. Hats off to Chef Aaron and his vision for a great food experience. Happy hour tapas were delectable! Highly recommend stopping by!
All the dishes here were so fresh, unique, and executed perfectly. Definitely among the best in greater Vancouver. Will definitely be back! Make sure to reserve in advance though
Menu is limited but done well overall. Five stars for the food, one star for the location and ambiance. Looking outside in, one wouldnt imagine Annora serves such dulcet food. Interior is crammed; theres barely any room to walk towards ones table upon entering. It would have been nice not sitting so close to others. Service was satisfactory.
I would say this is the best dining experience in the Fraser Valley and rivals many top Vancouver restaurants. We had an amazing meal and we cant wait to return.
This is my second time here and top notch food and service as always! Both times we had their set menu for 40 bucks and it was worth every penny! The special starter was a pork belly Caprese salad which was amazing. So was their scallop started that came in a light broth with fresh cilantro. The mains were all scrumptious as well. Beef duo of steak and short rib is always a pleaser. The fish with crispy rice was perfectly done! The duck which we were not sure whether to order was a great choice too. The portions are a bit on the smaller side, but filling enough if you arent famished when you get there. Of the desserts the special - the lemon curd, and the chocolate cremeaux were my favourite. The chai cheesecake was okay and the panna cotta was average. I love this restaurant and the one month notice to get a reservation is absolutely justified for this gem!
We were excited to visit given all the amazing reviews!!! Waited 3 weeks for a table! Our bar was pretty high :-) Starter (risotto) was so good but the atmosphere was canteen like. Main course was steak Diane which was ok..not amazing but ok. Server was very pleasant. Service quick too quick as in and out in 55 mins! Glad the restaurant is doing well but we won t be returning.
Will definitly return again, great place, great food, loved it. Table for four. Kitchen location comparing other similar layouts, everything was quiet, pleasant and unassuming. Waited seven weeks for our reservation that fit our schedule and really didnt know what to expect. Annora has a happy hour menu and a two page lunch menu too. Nice.
Awesome restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious. Will be back.
Was our first time there, got the 3-course meal and it was truly one of the best meals we ve had in recent memory, all for a very very reasonable price. Every single thing was perfectly cooked and seasoned, plus service was very warm, friendly, and on-point. It s a very small restaurant so do book ahead if you want a table (we booked 3 weeks early). Looking forward to our next visit!
Went with my wife and some family. Everyone really enjoyed it. A couple dishes underwhelmed, but most were great. The short rib in particular was the best Ive had. Service was excellent. But is it worth the hype and 3 month wait list? No. It was fairly expensive, everyone left hungry as the portions are quite small, and theres no A/C (and it was a very hot day).
Verry fine meat with delicious sides. I must try!
What a lovely dinner experience! This was our first time here. We searched for a highly rated place for an anniversary meal and we were so glad we decided on Annora. We both ordered the 3 course fixed price menu. Standouts were the scallop appetizer, the curried fish cake appetizer, the Beef Duo main (short ribs and tenderloin) and the Panna Cotta dessert. Kudos to the chef and thanks to Courtney for the great service! Also, the atmosphere was good and we really liked the background music.
Fantastic food! Wouldnt have known about this place without the Fork & Finger event. Will be back.
A wonderful evening spent here celebrating 111 years of marriage. (We arent really that old, that was three couples totalled 36+37+38) Every appetizer, every entree was excellent. Nobody had any complaints or concerns. All the staff was helpful and caring. We all had a great time and will be back !
Small restaurant. Great service. Food good.
Definitely a hidden gem. It doesnt look interesting from the outside but the food was spectacular! Make a reservation way in advance. The wait will be worth it.
We normally go to downtown to celebrate our anniversary because of the quality of chefs and restaurants to select from. Decided to try out this little local restaurant for the very first time (don t let location deceive you) Located in downtown Langley . Had to try out several things- their crab cakes, scallops, sablefish and lingcod with dark chocolate creamx for dessert. We are foodies , so great arrangement of protein with vegetables but more importantly all cooked to perfection. No wonder why they are booked a few weeks in advance. They are only opened from Tuesday to Saturday as they strive for a work/life balance. Happy people serving great food. Will come here again!
Best evening out dinner in some time. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Its no wonder they get such great reviews! Very good food. Nice variety of food, wine, etc. Would be nice if they had a beer on tap offering. But otherwise awesome. And all this for reasonable pricing. Especially if you get the 3 course tasting menu. We each had the braised bison and chocolate mousse. They were both great. Delicious and interesting. Highly recommended!
Excellent service and a very tasty three course menu for a reasonable price!
Parking: No problem Food
One of the most unique experience here. The food was absolutely delicious. I will come back again to try other dishes next time.
Best restaurant in Langley!
We had an amazing night with the most delicious meals! My wife and another couple shared all 4 of the 3 course dinner options. Chef Aaron and his team were incredibly professional and personable. Thank you. We look forward to coming back soon
Excellent food and great service. Highly recommended.
Great food and service. Cant wait to go back!
We have always enjoyed this hidden gem! Great food, great service.
If I could rate this restaurant 6 stars I would! The food was amazing and the service was even better!
First time in Annora and it s been outstanding experience! Nice cute little local spot with amazing food and service! Booking 1 month in advance! Will be happy to go back.
Unbelievable meal. Everything was cooked perfectly, presented well. Loved that they did every dish well without trying to be too out of the box or overly pretentious. Just well done fine dining dishes that were very memorable. The gnocchi and seared ahi appies were unreal. Same with the scallops but they were a special. Beef bordelaise and the lamb shank were beautiful. Also...great Old Fashioned!!! Service was very pleasant and made us feel super welcome. Great COVID protocols as well. UPDATE: Little late on this due to Christmas but went back for a second time to see if this was a fluke. It wasnt. This place is still AWESOME! Quality and service were the same.
I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!! My fiance ate 2 entrees cause he said its the best steak hes ever had!!!
Food is always amazing, love the servers and the atmosphere too!
Well be back, had a great experience. Meal was excellent, service was quick and pleasant. Will definitely recommend to anyone.
WOW! Go here.
My new favourite dining spot! The food is beyond delicious. The chef is outstanding! Friendly service and top notch quality food. I ve dined here a few times now and encourage everyone to as well.
What a dining experience from the service to the food everything is great, everything on the menu is amazing with so much flavour definitely a place you want to call your regular
Dust in the Wind by Kansas was playing as we were seated to our table so I knew this was going to be a good spot. Ling cod and gnocchi were our favourites - will be back
Food was okay. Nothing to write home about. It wasn t bad. Crab cakes were good. But found the lamb to be quite bland. Service made up for it. Dessert was good with butternut squash cake. May give them another try incase it was an off day. With so many great restaurants to choose from makes it hard to go back when they have to bring their A-game. Trying to support local family restaurants.
Very nice and quaint place. The service was great. The menu has a good range of selection. The Ross down farm stuffed chicken was amazing. The gnudi is a must as a starter. And the lava cake for desert on point.
Annoras has become my new favorite restaurant. Chef Aaron is an accomplished chef who creates unique & delicious food, showcasing BC cuisine. Its a quaint place with 7 tables, separated by plexiglass dividers, seating a max of 24 patrons. Reservations are a must. Sampled the 3-course Prix Fixe menu for $34. - it offers a choice of 3 appetizers, entrees & desserts. The choice was hard to make as everything sounded delicious. Ordered the scallop a la pancha for the appetizer, the dinner special entree featuring lobster & prawns served with the most amazing risotto, followed by the chocolate pot de creme. So impressed with the food & service (Katie was fabulous) we made a reservation for March. Thank you for making our evening special.
Just had one of the best dinners in Langley. This place should be called Langleys little hidden gem. Definitely will be back again soon.
Been here once and I am planning on returning, hopefully soon! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect. I will recommend to all!
Delicious fine dining experience for my Birthday dinner. The goat cheese gnudi with caramelized bytter and mushroon appetiser was a great choice. Followed by the Chicken breast with mashed potato, stir fried veggies
Absolutely the best fine dining restaurant in Langley. On par with or surpasses similar establishments in Downtown Vancouver. The food quality and service was flawless.
It was an epicurean delight. From the food, to the wine, to the excellent service. I highly recommend it.
A foodies home.
Wow. We had never heard of this place before. WellSeasoned, who we love, made the recommendation. Everything was delicious. 3 course dinner... seared ahi Tuna, Morrocan chicken, seared halibut, chocolate cheesecake and lemon cake. I am a foodie so super judgmental. This was incredible. I m heading back to thank them and order for tomorrow!!! Don t hesitate, take out covid order today!
When I thought of bringing my wife out for our anniversary to a five star restaurant, I didnt imagine it would be located in tiny hole in wall in the low rent district of Langley. I spent half the evening dodging the waitresses elbow as she delivered meals from the kitchen to other tables. Annoras only redemption comes from the meal itself which was recognizably challenging and well executed, and with fair service.
One of the best Restaurants i have ever eaten at. $36 for a 3 course meal is an absolute steal. Stuffed chicken breast and the seared beef tenderloin were both 10/10.
wonderful spot
If you want more of a fine dining experience in langley city this place is a must! Absolutely amazing dishes and I felt the portions were just right so I could enjoy an appetizer, entrée, and desert. 10/10! Will be back for sure!
Absolutely amazing food. Cannot wait to go back
Great food and excellent service! We will be back for more!
Good food, the atmosphere unfortunately doesn t match the quality of food
Food was great and a nice atmosphere. Pricing is very reasonable for what you get Staff were fantastic and friendly and happy to work around substitutions for dietary reasons. We spent 3 hours there and left very happy. Recommend reservations as they are usually busy.
Chef Aaron focuses on sourcing local ingredients and making his food from scratch daily. More than fair pricing for phenomenal fare.
Everything was amazing, best porkchop Ive ever had.
Amazing
Excellent value here. The gnocchi is a must! Looking forward to visiting more often. Great little spot for an intimate evening.
Just go. If you are reading this review deciding if this place is worth a try just go. So delicious without being overtly fancy. Our appetizer arrived, very understated, and every single bite I said yum as I ate. Food was cooked to perfection (we had scallops, cod, short ribs, & risotto), flavors were well balanced, dessert was delicious. We will be back.
The 3 course meal is a must try! Every plate of food is heavenly! Kudos to the chef!
Wow, just took the family out for a birthday dinner and we were blown away by the service and the amazing food at this Langley gem of a restaurant. We definitely will be back to try some of the other menu items on the menu that look so tasty as we watched them being served to other table s. I think we just found our new favourite dinner spot. Thanks to all the staff for such a great meal.
Fabulous meal and service, well be back forsure!
Wow wow wow. We were so impressed. Beginning to end, fabulous meal and great service.
The food here is the best in the west.
Will never eat here again, They screwed up our reservation with a i didnt check the email excuse on our anniversary dinner to make matter worse. the whole process was handled poorly and we were made to feel like were a burden. Extremely poor management will never set foot in here ever again...the chef has no back bone and cannot attempt to solve problems. I strongly advise going to the Lodge Steakhouse instead.
Upscale restaurant with more reasonable pricing than other places of lower quality. Great atmosphere, one of my best ever restaurant experiences.
Great food, great staff - Nice intimate setting.
Amazing food and price is also incredible.
For 36 dollars you can get an incredible appetizer, entree, dessert, combo.
I cant say enough good things about Annora. Every time that we have been, we have always been blown away by the quality and presentation of the dishes. Service is always top notch and you feel welcome. I always look forward to our next meal there!
Food was fantastic, friendly staff.
We have eaten at some good high end restaurants in the lowe mainland but Annora by far is our favorite. It is in the heart of Langley making it nice and close and my husband and I have collectively tried the pork belly gnocchi, the seared duck breast, beef short ribs, steak dianne and the goat cheese gnudi. They were all fantastic and I would highly recommend Annora to anyone looking for a fantastic meal. You will not be disappointed.
The food was absolutely delicious, service was friendly and the atmosphere was tranquil. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for any foodies!
Rented the restaurant for a friends birthday and was so absolutely blown away. Had heard of this hole in the wall and was looking forward to trying it. Beautiful intimate setting, 5-star service from the lovely Courtney, and 6-star food from the Chef. I never wanted the food to end. The plates were gorgeous and the tastes matched. Will be back!!! Thank you for the wonderful evening We wont forget it.
I visited with my family on my birthday a few weeks back and it was utterly delicious! Priced appropriately but with small portions. We are such food snobs but Im telling you, it was incredible! Quaint but delectable with good service. Prime rib perogies, the duck and the crab cakes are a few personal favourites! I will definitely return.
Best ever.
This is our favorite restaurant in Langley..
I ate here with some friends for the first time and it was awesome. It s a small restaurant so make sure you call ahead or make a reservation. All of our food was clearly made with fresh ingredients and was delicious. We had the lamb, the pork chop and the duck. All of them were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely phenomenal in every way
Affordable fine eating.
Always good.
My friends and I had such a lovely dinner at Annora. I dont venture out to Langley often but glad to have tried this French restaurant. They had a 3 course prix fixe meal that was a great deal ($34). There were 3 choices for the appetizer, entree, and dessert. I decided to try their scallops for the appetizer, their duck entree, and the chocolate ganache dessert. They provide bread for the table before the starters, which was great because we ordered mussels for the table and the bread was great for dipping in the sauce. Everything was fresh and delicious and well portioned. I thought the duck was cooked perfectly and enjoyed the potato gratin that came with it. The scallops were nice and large, with chanterelle mushrooms in a creamy delicious sauce.
Rarely ever give reviews but the food was incredible and the pricing was spot on. Highly recomend!
What a great place.
Service was slow, server was forgetful, but food was good
Can t count how many times we ve been there now but every time we go it s another amazing experience. Each dish is packed with flavours!! Hoping they ll be able to expand in the future so more people are able to devour Chef Aaron s creations. If you re in the mood for a fabulous dinner and want a quiet intimate setting, then let Annora be your new favourite place! Courtney is always such a pleasure, and looks after you with a smile (even behind the mask)
Small neighbourhood pocket restaurant whose owner/chef is superbly talented in creating artistically presented & wonderfully flavourable food. Go here if you enjoy gourmet food at very reasonable prices & with impeccable service.
Best 3 course meals in Langley.
Excellent service, beautiful dining area (even with Covid guards up!), and the food is impeccable! I recommend the set menu - the cost is incredible, and the quality is top-notch!
Can t be beat in Langley
