At our restaurant, we never compromise on quality. That’s why we source fresh ingredients every day. With these fresh ingredients, we prepare our sauce, breadcrumbs, and meat daily. No matter when you visit, you can always enjoy freshly made katsu.
We ordered the special set, half-half Korean bulgogi and sweet potato pizza, and takoyaki all to share! It was more than enough for three of us. Both the katsu and takoyaki were crispy and flavourful. The pizza was delicious but we were bigger fans of the bulgogi topping! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tasty lunch in Langley!
Its our first time to eat here and we are amazed with their food. The servings were massive ❤️ we will definitely be back to try their korean pizza. We cannot order that anymore coz we were too full. Did I mention, they also offer complimentary soup 👌
We visited Katsuya Langley and had a great overall experience. The ambience is lovely, with touchpads on each table to order food or request service, which makes everything seamless and efficient. We ordered the Crazy Chicken Shrimp Pizza and Carbonara Katsu (pork loin). The katsu was good, but I’ve had better elsewhere. The pizza, while very spicy (as our server humorously warned us), had great flavors and was enjoyable. Both dishes were fresh and nicely presented. The service was quick and friendly, enhancing the experience. Overall, a good place to try, especially for the modern ordering setup!
Food was delicious, however they were sold out on chicken. We did come near the end of the night. The service was great and they were very attentive. The atmosphere was cozy. The pork loin katsu was my favourite! The bulgogi poutine was pretty good as well.
Our first time at Katsuya and we have been wanting to go there for a while. We finally went and it did not disappoint. It had so many choices and food came fast but hot and it was so delicious. I enjoyed every bite also tried my husband’s and sister’s dishes and they were also very yummy.
First time here everything looks good on menu. The best was the fried chicken, maybe the best within Korean and Japanese fusion I’ve ever try; however, the honey fries was too sweet for me, the drumsticks were too salty same as the miso. The katsu rice portion was not enough to get full and tasted soso.
The chicken katsu was juicy, light and crispy. The bulgogi pizza was good. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. The restaurant is worth a try.
Hidden gem for Japanese and Korean fusion dishes. The food arrived quickly and was all served nicely. The taste was excellent and we enjoyed some dishes we hadn't found elsewhere. The server was quick and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and neat. My one small complaint would be that all the seats are hard wood with no cushion. Would definitely return
Order a set of Kastu menu. Definitely will come back with family.
A Feast Fit for a King at Katsuya in Langley! If youre looking for a meal that delivers on both quantity and quality, look no further than Katsuya in Langley. Their pork cutlet isnt just a meal its an event. The portions are so generous you might find yourself wondering if youre supposed to share (spoiler: youre not, its all yours). The set menu is the real star of the show, offering an unbeatable combo of great taste and wallet-friendly pricing. You get a perfectly crispy, golden-brown tonkatsu thats tender on the inside, accompanied by a lineup of sides that will have you feeling like you ve just won a flavor lottery. Whether youre fueling up for a big day or simply treating yourself, Katsuya strikes the perfect balance between indulgence and value. Pro tip: bring your appetite (and maybe stretchy pants). Vegetarian options: Definitely no vegan menu here.
Spacious and welcoming interior! The special katsu set was incredibly generous. Crispy shrimp and pork, udon soup, and lots of little side dishes. Crushing your own sesame seeds to sprinkle on the salad added a fun, interactive touch.
Found this place at a random and oh my goodness what a find! We ordered the special Katsu menu and the servings were HUGE, so tasty. I am definitely bringing my family back here. So so so good! My toddler finished the entire udon bowl lol. Amazing!
The clean and modern interior of Katsuya creates a pleasant atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The space is bright, well-organized, and exudes a sense of comfort, making it a great spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing clear and detailed explanations of the menu, which made it easy to choose dishes even for first-time visitors. The highlight of the meal was definitely the pork katsu. It had a perfectly crispy, golden-brown exterior and a tender, juicy interior. The texture was outstanding, offering a delightful contrast between the crunch of the coating and the softness of the meat. The flavor of the pork was rich and satisfying, and when paired with the accompanying sauce, it created a harmonious blend of savory and umami notes. Every bite was a joy. Overall, both the quality of the food and the level of service were excellent. It was an enjoyable dining experience that left a lasting impression. If youre looking for delicious pork katsu served in a clean, welcoming environment, Katsuya is definitely worth a visit.
yummy
We have been here several times, always yummy and people who work here are awesome! Thank you for being different! Food
They have japanese, korean foods so many delicious foods, and also they have pizzas, highly recommended The service also awesome, Food
Crispy and delicious, with a variety of sauces, huge portions, and great service! Recommended
Two of my favorite restaurant combine together, great
The staff were friendly and nice, and the food was generous and delicious. It has a nice atmosphere and is spacious and open, so it would be a good place for a party.
Love the atmosphere! Friendly staffs and quality food.
Every time I come here, I am impressed by the service of the staff. They have the best katsu dishes in Langley and the atmosphere is clean and nice.
I ordered special menu which was so amazing. I could try ebi fries, pork cutlets, and udon at once. Definitely, I will visit again.
Katsu set and Sweet potato cheese pizza was good. I recommend eating here.
I went here with my mom for lunch, and it was clean and delicious. After coming to Canada, my mother said she liked it because it suited her taste the best. I recommend it
The best Katsuya in town!
Great service!
Went for lunch, overall pleased. Very hearty and flavorful. Katsu was the best part; not oily at all and crispy from the first bite to the last. Udon was great for the cold weather. The side dishes were okay but the cabbage sauce was bitter. Great value as well, very affordable. The restaurant was clean and the food came out with little waiting time.
great food
great food great service
Its been a while since I came to Langley Katsuya and ordered a set menu, and it looks good and tastes good, so it seems to be good value for money. I recommend it.
Same taste as the ones in Ontario. Great portion Will definitely come again. Food : 5/5
I added red carbonara sauce here and ate it!! Theres a lot of quantity. Its so delicious:) The udon was delicious too!
Portion is very generous! Best Katsu place in town!
The money in this house is crazy...! The best in Vancouver!!!
A wonderful place to eat! Very clean, great service and certainly great food!
This place was great. We drove out to Langley to explore places to eat and decided to go here. We will be back again for sure!
Great service and great food and good quantity. Ambience was amazing.
I always order spicy onion pork cutlet, and the sweet and spicy sauce was delicious and the portion was generous. I ordered a special pork cutlet set, but it came with udon and fried shrimp pork cutlet, and I enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended~
Food was delicious and the oven cooked chicken is not what you expect but it is very good. We got French fries for free and they were crunchy and oily. If you like French fries you should get them. They are more crunchier and yummier than Mc. Donald s fries
In the photo, I ate the special set because it was on sale for $24 with a $32 discount. It was delicious and they were friendly so I enjoyed it~
I had the special set, and it was good because it was discounted by more than $10. The pizza was Korean-style, so it wasnt too salty, so it was good for my mouth. The tteokbokki was nice and refreshing. Try it.
A menu I ve never seen before!! I ate it more deliciously than I expected!! Highly recommended!!
I had the Japanese pork loin special set. Portion was large, the pork loin was fried really well with thin and crispy batter, and so were the prawns. I was a little disappointed with the side dishes, I wished the variety was better, the ones offered were not very appealing to me. Also, the sauces are on a heavier side (for the deep fried items) and I would ve liked a lighter sauce for the cabbage salad. However, the main food of the set were very delicious and I enjoyed the udon very much. The restaurant is spacious and parking was super easy to find with many stalls right by the restaurant entrance. I will recommend this restaurant to katsu lovers if you re ever near.
Great taste! I will definitely come back again!
I had the Hansang menu and it came out really cleanly. The ingredients are fresh and the fries are good... The pizza they gave us was also delicious.
The pork cutlet I ordered and the pizza I was given as a service were delicious with a Korean feel. However, the music was so loud that it was a bit uncomfortable to converse with the people I was with.
It was nice to be able to taste pizza, pork cutlet, and spaghetti together.
Love the atmosphere and huge servings. Recommended.
We tried the special set, as well as the red carbonara katsu. Both portions were large and they all tasted amazing! The server was super friendly and attentive, making the overall experience even better :)
Price uncompetitive.
First time dining in last night and thought to myself dam thats some good food. Thank you Katsuya for the good experience
Great food , awesome service, huge portion very good price , the waitress was unbelievably attentive!!
I had the Katsu special set with pork. Very delicious. Pork was moist and tender and the outside had a nice crispy light batter. Udon soup and the Katsu shrimp were also very tasty. Good portion too, fed 2 of us. I will say the music was a bit loud and the atmosphere feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant, not very cozy. The server did what she could but a little slow as she was only one serving for all the people there. Overall I would recommend and come again.
Well... when I went... even though it was freshly fried, it was a bit soggy, and the meat and batter were a bit separate. The meat tasted... a bit... like that...
The Curry Special Set for lunch was delicious and great value
It was my first time trying this place. Food was delicious! I got the sweet chilli chicken katsuya. Service was also very good! I ll definitely be coming back
Food is really good and with generous serving portions. Very satisfying. Definitely worth coming back. Would try the pizza next time.
I visited on a Saturday and the food was delicious and the servers were friendly! lol Uber Eats and other branches always add an edge, but it was a bit disappointing that it wasnt available at the store. But it was still very delicious. Pizza Maru is also nearby, so the menu is more diverse and good. Ive tried pork cutlet at many places, but Katsuyas is the best. The quantity seems to be a lot for the price and I am satisfied.
The pork cutlet is light and delicious on the outside and inside!!
Its clean, plentiful, and most of all, its super delicious^^!! I really, really recommend it. Its even better because its an environment where you can eat comfortably at Idelgo ^^
Red Carbonara Pork Cutlet is always a highly recommended menu item!!! If you haven t tried it, you must try it. It s so delicious!! I heard that there was a menu of Korean dishes (pork cutlet, fried shrimp, udon, and side dishes), so I ordered the cheese and sweet potato pork cutlet as an option, and it was very generous and delicious!!!!
Restaurant seems new and is quite nice and clean. Went during an odd hour at 3pm so nobody was really around so service and food was very fast. Pricing was reasonable enough with this review and food was good too with a variety of things that come out with the set menu.
Arrived at 2:30pm and had great service and food. Lots of variety with the set menu with reasonable pricing. I would recommend!
food was excellent.Did go at a very quiet time though. Menu is a bit limiting as it changed, but a decent assortment of what to expect.
It was a delicious lunch set menu.
Great!
I often come to Katsuya langley and the staff are amazing. Food always comes out hot and fresh maybe. I usually order the terimayo katsu but Ive tried most of there menu items I highly recommend if you guys are looking for fresh tasty katsu.
Katsuya is a top tier cutlet joint in langley. Comparable to even saku in richmond i would definitely recommend checking it out if you are in langley and a nice bonus they offer 5% cash discount!
Very good
It was pretty good don katsu.
Impressed with the variety and quality ! And my server Yuri was very nice Recommend
Love this place and all allergies are clearly marked on the menu so no accidents!!!
I ordered pizza and pork cutlet through Uber Eats. Iron scrubber on pizza...
It s the best katsu restaurant I ve ever been to! Food was amazing, staffs were very nice as well!
The store was clean and I had the mozzarella cheese cutlet and it was delicious. I am particularly satisfied because the service is generous and the servers are very friendly.
Excellent :)
The server staff are also very friendly. The food quality is so good that I want to go again next time.
This restaurant does an amazing job with everything from pork cutlets to pizza and chicken! The pork cutlet was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, absolutely satisfying. The pizza had rich cheese and a chewy crust that made me want more with every bite. As for the chicken, it was juicy and perfectly crispy. Its impressive how they serve such a variety of dishes, all with great flavors. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy perfect for dining with family or friends
I ordered one fried chicken. There were 10 pieces in total and the price was about $27. Its like 2.7 dollars a piece... I dont think the taste is worth that amount. Its almost questionable whether its just one.
Great food, worth the price.
I heard that the pork cutlet was delicious, so I came from afar to find it, but I was disappointed that the portion size was a bit small. The meat was a bit thin and the sauce was bland. Its a bit disappointing that its a pork cutlet restaurant, but the cheese pork cutlet is special and delicious. The pasta was very small but delicious. Service is average. Parking is very convenient
Udon on the combo menu was exceptionally good. Quality and quantity were 10+.. Will be back!!
Everything was great, greeted with positivity and food was great taste with good amount of portion for value. Highly recommend.
Awesome food great service! Portions are massive and food is high quality.
It was a satisfying meal.
A nice chill place to get a filling, satisfying meal. Great atmosphere and portion size to boot. Definitely recommended
I went there because I was missing Korean pork cutlet, and it was so good! The store was comfortable and friendly, and the food was delicious! I liked it because it wasnt too spicy. ^^ The pork didnt have any unpleasant smell and it was good!
Katsu and pizza are delicious!
If you are three, its enough to eat with two dishes. And its delicious
Such a great restaurant
Lovely comfort food! Will visit again
I had a good experience at the restaurant. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, making each dish a pleasure to enjoy. The customer service was very friendly!
The staff were very friendly and the pizza was delicious. But I ordered cheese pork cutlet, and the orange cheese tasted strange. I told the staff, but I think you should check carefully. My husband and I went to the bathroom as soon as we got home.
Food tastes wonderful
My favorite katsu place is Katsu San in Richmond. I thought Id try this place as an option for Langley, but frankly the food doesnt compare. The katsu has no taste. The sauce is bland and the prices are high comparatively. The pizza was a confusing mess. Like, It didnt know what it was trying to be and I couldnt get past the first piece. Im not kidding when I say this is number three on my list of three worst meals in the last 5 years. I dont understand why this place exists.
My wife and I wanted to try this place based on all the amazing reviews. We were a bit flabbergasted to find the astronomical prices. This basic Chicken Katsu with shaved cabbage and a tiny helping of rice was $25! It also came with an undrinkable miso that was 70% salt. Zero value. The Katsu was ok at best. The service is non-existent. You order off an iPad. However, the server did come to make sure we understood we ONLY ordered one meal. When we mentioned we didn t eat a lot she grimaced and gave us such looks of disgust and judgement that for that alone we would never return.
Yummy Yummy. My daughter likes the K-style pizza, and the brick cheese Katsu. We ordered the honey fries, but they served regular fries. Requested to the server, and she gave to us the food I had ordered. Food
Ordering system is new, fun and easy to use. Clean washrooms and establishment. So many food options to try out, will come back again.
I came here and ordered a hang sang event katsu set and this is what I got, i was surprised when food came it was a lot! Just 2 odd things for feedback: they didn t have horseradish (maybe they didn t have it at the time, usually I expect that at katsu places) and pickeled jalapeños don t usually go with katsu but it s fine by itself. Overall I am quite happy because the rest of the food was good, portions were huge for the price so I would come back again and reorder the same thing again, I actually finished everything maybe except the udon I was too full by then lol. Parking: Oh yeah the parking is absolutely excellent so many spots, so if you re coming here with a bunch of people rest assured you ll be able to park here
Food was great. The katsu set portion was beyond expectations. Great deal, must try.
Great Korean food definitely worth it and it has reasonable pricing along with their efficient service
it was a descent place, I love the ambience. the other place we loved closed so this will be our new to go to. Kuddos!!
Very good experience overall. We had the katsu meal and udon carbonara. Both dishes were good.
Good!
The food was pretty damn good! And the service was perfect
The katsu are average and the salad and sides are mediocre. Too pricey for the quality of foods provided.
Big portions but a bit expensive however the tablet ordering and checking in by service staff was great! Food is always delicious and fresh
Everything is really good but i feel like the meat of the katsu is under-seasoned. The coquitlam location doesnt have this issue. I tried it twice at the langely location and it was underseasoned both times. If this can be altered, it would be great :)
Too many people are sleeping on this opportunity
I have been to locations in Toronto before and I think this one is even better especially because it has additional pizza and chicken :) The pizza is definitely like the ones you get in Asia. It has a sweeter flavor that tastes great but be prepared for that. We had the red carbonara katsu, BBQ wings, and crab croquettes as well. All delicious, but especially the red carbonara which is my favorite dish. The ordering on the tablets was really easy and intuitive. The service was phenomenal. This is now my go to katsu place in the Surrey/Langley area.
I like their pizza and katsu.
It s Sunday and it s 11:30am. Why are you not open? At least indicate your business hours accurately on Google?
Shrimbul and seafood bay pizza, one work Yum!!!
Food is excellent. Large portions. My only complaint is that chairs not comfy. Had raspberry highball __it was very good. Curry chicken Katsu very good Parking: Lots of parking around restaurant
I deleted the review. A female employee who is about 150cm tall posted that it was unhygienic because she was not wearing a mask and coughed a lot, so she deleted it. Its ridiculous that they only leave good reviews and delete bad reviews.
Food is great. We came in and there was a promo going on. Sweeeeet! Service is superb.
Happy to see this one is now in very convenient & spacious location in BC. Food quality is amazing and many discount option available is a plus. Renovated, cozy and nice interior. No booth though.
This restaurant was really good. The service and food were great.
We visited Katsuya Langley location for the first time because my husband raved about the food at their other location in Coquitlam. The hostess directed us to a table and within a few minutes of sitting down, the waitress told us that they are closing a part of their dining area and that we needed to move closer to a table near other customers. My partner ordered the $27 sweet potato cheese katsu with spicy sauce and I ordered the sweet potato pizza. We expected the sweet potato for the katsu to be inside the batter (as this is more difficult to make, hence the price) but they didn t even put in the effort and served it as a topping on the katsu. The meat was thin but the sauce was decent. The sweet potato pizza was pretty good with a hint of tomato sauce. Everything is done through the tablet ordering app with the waitress coming over for payment at the end with the handheld pos machine. For the price and taste, we would not want to come back.
Curry katsu was amazing
The crunchy texture enhanced the flavor, and the whole family enjoyed it. The service was also satisfactory. However, the music was loud and I felt anxious when I left the restaurant^^
Its the perfect place to eat pizza and katsu together. The server is very friendly and lots of menu on promotion right now, so I got a big discount.
We have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We ordered the udon carbonara and cheese brick Katsu set which were both very delicious. Will definitely be returning often for more.
Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere!! Will come back for sure!!
The food is so delicious and the staff is friendly~~ Especially the pizza and pork cutlet! I want to go again haha
I ve been to Katsuya twice now and the food doesn t disappoint! So delicious and the quality is amazing. So far the fish curry katsu is my fav but the wings are lo amazing. I can t wait to try more items on the menu. The service is also great - very warm and welcoming.
Consistently good food with a great selection. The service is friendly and consistently good. Roomy dining section with awesome automated menu that makes for quick service. A great addition to Langley restaurants.
Great food and great service!
Kid-friendliness: The server was very kind and my son really enjoyed their pizza. Very comfortable place with kids Food
Great location, awesome customer service and there is promotion of 30% off if u pay by cash and 20% if you pay by card. You can order everything with tabley.
I really enjoyed the pizza! The staff are also friendly. I ll come again next time~!~!!
The food was amazing, especially the red carbonara udon!!! I would definitely come dine-in again. Thanks for the great customer service!!
very tasty and service is friendly
The place is great! The ambience is awesome and the food is yummy
Easy ordering with a built-in tablet at every table. Tasty food for astonishingly reasonable prices in these trying times. Music is a bop, and the restaurant looks pretty dope.
Food is really good ordered the Katsus and bugolgi pizza, ordering system straight forward to use, modern atmosphere and service very tentative.
The Katsuya Langley location was the best out of all the places I visited! It was exceptionally clean, and the atmosphere was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Additionally, they offer Pizza and Chicken Maru (a famous Korean Pizza and Chicken franchise), so it was delightful to enjoy both pizza and katsu at the same time. They also provide discounts for both cash and card payments, so come and enjoy yourselves!
Its my first visit... I had a good time. Korean pizza is not too salty and has plenty of toppings. Chicken wings and spaghetti are just the same as Korea.
Its amazing food tastes are very good. The Washroom is clean . Customer service is really good. Clean restaurant. Food : 5/5 |
Brand new great place in Langley. Variety of choices. Kind staff members and aurhentic Korean style food.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our five-year-old daughter spotted the place; so on a whim we tried it, and we love it. Now we come as a family all the time. There is such a wide variety of food choices, everything is so tasty. Little Kamaria s favourite is the Seafood Bat Pizza, I can t get enough of the Korean wings. Mom loves their unique take on Nachos. Each visit we ll try another new dish! The staff are super friendly too.
Awesome place. I love sweet potato cheese Tonkatsu
We had a fantastic dinner at Katsuya, and it was a great place to bring our kids. There are lots of options on the menus, and the kids loved the pizza and katsu chicken. We will visit again.
Didn t know Katsuya opened in langley. They have table tablet for order and calling staff which is nice very convenient! Katsuyas food is always good. 100% recommend here
Amazing food amazingly clean amazing service all 5 stars. Best Japanese restuarant in Langley.
Great new place to try!
Great atmosphere with great food and a unique ordering system. The place is clean and has lively k-pop music playing!
We entered the restaurant and immediately felt at home. It s totally casual with music playing, and the lights down. The server seated us quickly and politely. The food was easy to order using their tablet ordering system right at the table. We ordered Japanese Katsu and Curry Katsu. The food came fairly quickly, and the presentation and volume of food was better than expected. We both enjoyed the food and would recommend our friends to check it out! It s not fine dining, but it s certainly decent for its format and quality.
I was visiting from out of town and my friend recommended this place! Great food and excellent service! I had the Japanese style fish katsu and it was delicious! Portions are generous and the discount for paying in cash is awesome! Thanks so much!! Hopefully Ill be back soon!!
Food was amazing and the service was awesome!
Pizza Maru menus are not delicious.
The restaurant was quiet, but the table was spacious and very neat. The male waitress was very kind and our family had a very satisfying time. The service and food quality is very good, so I will visit again.
Even if its the same franchise, the taste seems different. What do you usually eat at Coqui Restaurant? mediocrity? But the Langley branch I went to without any expectations was delicious. The price was good because it was on sale, but maybe because it was daytime and we were the only ones there, the hall was very quiet and a little strange. Still, it seems like submissions are still happening.
I ordered pork cutlet through delivery a few times, but all the sauces were too salty. I wish the pork cutlet was a little more crispy.
Generous serving of food. Wasnt expecting an order came with two pieces of cutlet. Recommend the Red Carbonara Katsu for people who like spicy food. They also have an ongoing promotion for February, 30% off if you pay by cash.
I order with my own hands at the table, but starting with a 15% tip is burdensome. Tempura batter and udon are delicious. The rest just tasted like ready-made food.
We came here as we saw great photos and videos on Instagram. Generous portion and affordable price. The presentation may make the food look yummy on the photos. However, dishes, imo, are just average. Miso soup was salty. Carbonara udon and curry katsu were so so. Pizza and original katsu had weird taste.
Music was a little loud but atmosphere was nice. AMAZING Katsu!!! Will be back, from out of town .
The food and atmosphere were good, but I stayed there for a while and the male staff member kept staring at me. It was very unpleasant and uncomfortable to eat food with my own money.
The price is a bit high, but the taste is good. The spaghetti with meat sauce is 8.9, which is cheap but average.
First visit - the food was all delicious, it was very clean and the service was good~ Second visit - I wonder if the chef has changed. The pork cutlet keeps coming apart.. The pizza is delicious.
Very delicious, Katsu, we are very happy to have one in our area. The food and service was fantastic. There is cheap beer, and honestly, how can I complain about that. Nice and clean restaurant, we did not have to wait to be seated, and food came pretty quickly. We will most definitely be back.
Delicious!
The lady server was kind enough to provide details of the menu thoroughly, especially of rather confusing cash only 30% dine-in promo. Korean style katsu was (surprisingly) mediocre. Bulgogi pizza with potato cheese crust was quite good! (Pizza sauce is on the sweet side). Side orders of wings & fries were surprisingly good! We are definitely coming back for some beer with side menus!! It was a well-worth a visit with 30% dine in promo!!
Absolutely fantastic!!!!
Good food & good service. A little confusing at first on the ordering system and menu but its still worth trying out
I went with my Korean wife, and the lady waitress was kind, but I felt the guy who brought the bill was kind of ignorant. I can speak much of Korean, and I greeted him while entering and leaving the restaurant, and he was showing me some kind of alienated behavior. The food price was way higher and was not justified of the kind of food. Pizza was tasty, to be honest. Pork curry was average, but the portion was small. Overall, Im not going to return here because of this kind of behavior.
Katsuya is a fantastic restaurant with very good service, paired with unique and delicious food. Wasnt the biggest fan of the new touch pad ordering but Im sure I would just need to get used to it, props to them for attempting to implement newer more efficient technology. Definitely coming back
50off weekdays1200-1600 about$20 Food : 5/5
My wife and I and another couple went there for dinner last night. Spotlessly clean, minimalist environment. Touchscreen ordering system was different but pretty cool. The food was amazing! We had 4 different dishes and they were all delicious. Portions are generous, service was polite and friendly, beer only, we had some Sapporo beer, adding wine would be a good idea. All 4 of us agreed that we would definitely go back there again! Great food!
We fully enjoyed our unplanned dining outing to Katsuya. We were running errands and didn t realize a Katsu place had opened in the area. So we were enthusiastic to try it out. The ordering is done at the table on an iPad. We appreciated this (and it reminded me of ordering Katsu at pretty much any place we went in Japan - which uses the same system). Our food and drinks came quickly. Both the chicken Katsu and Pork Katsu (and Curry) were enjoyable. No complaints regarding the food. Service was prompt - both in being seated and once asking for the bill (which you also do via the tablet). The restaurant was incredibly clean. We would definitely eat here again. The only thing I didn t like about the experience was that the music was really loud. There was a point where it has hard to hear my partner talking to me. This isn t a reason why we wouldn t go back, but was the one drain on our dining experience.
Pretty good Korean and Japanese selections of food here, a but pricey but still good. Not always busy which is a plus (I think)
Nice place to try Korean style pizza. Their katsu was very crispy!! Food
My visit to Katsuya was enjoyable, with the Japanese katsu, brick cheese katsu, and cheese crabmeat croquette offering a decent culinary experience. While not reaching top-notch flavor, the generous portions and fair pricing make it a reasonable choice. The spacious setting and good service contributed to an overall positive dining experience.
Best Japanese food Staffs were attentive Food
I ordered tonkatsu with carbonara sauce... Did they run out of sauce? It came out like button mushroom soup as the sauce. The cheese tonkatsu came out soaked in oil. I felt sorry for my husband for begging me to eat the tonkatsu, so I ate it quietly, but... The price is $25 (for some). The food tastes just average. I wonder if there is a reason why there are no people!!
There are better Korean Katsu and pizza places. Look elsewhere. The kitchen seems to just bake frozen premade pizza imported from Korea under the name Maru Pizza. Dough was nothing to write home about, nor the toppings fresh. I can make better pizza at home. The Katsu was nothing special either. Miso soup was salty yet the katsu sauce was very bland. Meat wasnt the best cut of pork either. If you want good Korean katsu, look up the one nearby in downtown Langley. On the positive, service was fast and the kitchen super clean.
Food was unreal! Got the chicken Katsu and it comes with free refills on the rice, salad, and miso soup!! Best miso of my life will be coming back weekly!!
Absolutely fantastic food, got the chicken katsu. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family as it was amazing!! The staff were very friendly too :)
I would highly recommend this place. I loved the taste of the foods. I especially enjoyed the crispiness of their fried chicken. A perfect place to visit during weekend with your family and friends. A very spacious dining hall!
Love their red carbonara Katsu
Very friendly staff, food came out really quick and was delicious!!! Very clean dining area, nice and open. Proteins perfectly cooked and juicy. Definitely will be back to try other menu items.
I loved all the different options on the menu! The food came out quickly and the flavour was great. Very generous portion sizes, we ended up taking half our meals home!
The staff and food are really great! The overall space was clean and well kept, but for my liking it was a little warm sitting down while eating. I will definitely come back again!
Immediately impressed with how clean and fresh the restaurant is I know it s new, but everything looks clean, crisp and should hold up well. The ordering from the table tablet is also a nice touch as it lets you order and add at your pace. The food was well prepared and the curry chicken katsu is something you must try when you come give it a try, and tell your friends! Portions were amazing too! Try the honey fries!! Next time I ll be eating the unique pizza options available
Very open and clean. The menu is on a computer screen so thats how you pick your food. Free miso to start. Food looks delicious however there is no description on the menu items but they are fairly self explanatory if you know Katsu. We had the cheese crab meat croquette, honey fries, curry Katsu and honeycomb Katsu Vegetarian options: Cheese and sweet potato are available
lovely spot
Loved the food, very nice restaurant, will be back again!
The place is new so looking very modern and clean! Minimalist decor, and all tables have a tablet you can submit orders on. Food was delicious and good portions, the katsu we ordered was crispy and not too heavy, pizza was delicious.
Signature shrimbul pizza 13 Spicy cream cheese spaghetti I strongly recommend the pizza with gold option. Its sweet potatoes at the edge. Pizza includes lots of cheese, meat and shrimp which is really good. These are very photogenic. I love the combination of the pizza and spicy spaghetti. As what is called, spaghetti was creamy and pretty spicy. I love that theres a screen ( kiosk) to order per table. Clean and nice interior
Food and atmosphere was really good
It is our first time in this newly opened restaurant. It s a fusion Korean, Japanese cuisine. Me and my husband ordered Terri Mayo Katsu which is amazing. Crispy battered chicken with salmon flakes on top and mayo with salad on the side and rice. Actually it taste amazing- it s a journey. The other dish we ordered was Japanese Katsu- very delicious especially with the special sauce. Service is efficient and friendly. Ordering is a breeze with the automated ordering system. I will definitely come back to this lovely restaurant.
The batter was falling off, I was eating only pork. The cabbage was hard, miso soup was cold
Highly recommend their Seafood Bay and Shrimpbul pizzas. We have been back several times.
I ordered the same menu. On my second visit, I ordered the original katsu, which had a strong curry flavor in the sauce. The female waitress was very friendly.
Im so glad theres a Korean pizza in Langley. The katsu is delicious and most of all, the staff is so friendly!! The store is also really clean, so I plan to visit again next time!!
The service here is no joke. I can feel the affection of Koreans. Above all, the red carbonara katsu is really delicious!!
Saw this new Japanese/Korean resto by Willowbrook this afternoon and we got curious after reading the reviews, so decided to give this a try. We dined at around 3pm so as expected, the resto was super empty. The lady insctructed us to order using the tablet that is on the table. The ordering system takes a little longer than just looking at the menu and give your order, but i guess once you start figuring it out, it could get easier to use. Personally, I feel there isn t too many options.. we were about to get Chicken Katsu but its not available so we ended up getting the pork Katsu. Taste wise, it s bland :( the pork has no taste at all unless dipped in their sauce. The batter is light and crispy and it was good. I just wish the pork itself had a bit of seasoning or something. The miso soup was good too. Service was good the ladies were friendly. Serving is worth the price and the cleanliness of the dining area is superb. If we eat there again we will definitely try a different dish
I Read the reviews and was excited until i got the food. I gave it a shot and wasso disappointed in the caliber of the food. I have not had more disgusting food in my life. Not sure where these reviews are coming from. The only thing they were accurate about was the portions were reasonable. The rest absolutely horrible. I give this Restaurant and its food a negative 5 not sure how they are still in business,But its not possible so all I could give it is a one . It should have been a red flag when I walked into the restaurant and there was only two other people.
Good to try different types of food and different cultures.
Amazing food and great service.
So what to say about our visit here. Place is still pretty new which may have contributed to the empty dining area, or perhaps the time of day we went not sure, but if you love to dine in an empty dining room this could be the place for you. That said it was very clean and the staff are seriously very friendly and make you feel welcome. I did find the ordering off the table mounted tablet a bit confusing and frustrating at first takes a bit of getting used to, but not a huge deal. The food came fast, and it was pretty warm, so there were no complaints there, but honestly, very little taste to the Katsu unless you add the sauce. The miso soup is excellent, tasty yet not overpowering.
The serves are always so kind and the food is always fresh and delicious. Their appetizers such as the Tartar Shrimp and the Crabmeat Croquette are amazing and it should be a must try!!! Portions are big along with great pricing too so I would say it s very worth it :)
The plate size was great, but the best part of this place was its exceptional customer service. The wait staff was very nice, they even changed the music to our liking. Highly suggest to check it out! Dietary restrictions: very accomodating
Added Signature shrimbul gold I recommend it. It s crispy and very delicious. And the store is very pretty.
Big restaurant will self-serve ordering on tablets at each table. Tastes were alright, but the tonkatsu was too thin. Lots of interesting combinations on tonkatsu. Limited refills on soup, rice and cabbage.
Is it possible to eat such delicious pizza in Vancouver? Pizza restaurant Katsuya^^ Be sure to try it. The store is clean and you can order at a kiosk, which is convenient. The staff is also friendly. Is it possible to eat such delicious pizza in Vancouver? Pizza restaurant Katsuya^^ Be sure to try it. As a Canadian the food was good. My Korea wife was less than impressed.. but I would argue the food was great. Service is a little odd as you order from a computer screen. The Ui could use a little tweaking as it doesn t indicate that you can scroll down. Food came in a timely manner, what hot and yummy. The udon soup did leave something to be desired. I could make the same thing at home, as a Canadian. The pork katsu on other hand was great. Honestly just don t offer udon if it s not going to be something special. Atmosphere for me get a big nock down and for one reason only. The acoustics in the place are astoundingly horrible. Low quilty ceiling speakers with no backing firing up into a open ceiling cavity lead to any base lines droning on I know this sounds like a nit pick but it was very bad with the selection of music. Being that this is kind of a KPop young personal place should have had some audio engineering done over aesthetics. For now you would need to fix the play list. Putting foam on the back of the speakers will help removing the droning. I will be back. If you would like to see more in-depth reviews, please follow my account.
