Had to ask hostess for a waitress to take our order not impressed

amazing poutine.

Today was our second time getting takeout from the Willowbrook location within a two week period. Phaedra, the server who took the order both times, was friendly and patient with the gift cards (rather than using a barcode, the server has to enter a long code of digits, and each payment has to be done separately, the new balance calculated, and entered for the next payment). The food was tasty for what it is. The reason for the low star rating is entirely thanks to the owner, Amrit. We substituted the fries with soup, which the Murrayville location has offered as a side option at the same cost (maybe its a mistake and it should be an upcharge; I dont know). Today, when I saw that there were three $4 upcharges for this, I was surprised to see it. I was told it had been the same on the last order, but since I didnt get the detailed receipt, I guess I just didnt realize. Really wish restaurants would make it very clear when you are making an upgrade, so youre not surprised to find it on the bill. Definitely would not have upgraded if wed known, as it wouldnt have been worth it to us. Made a mental note not to do it again, and moved on. When we got home and unpacked the bags, we noticed wed only gotten two soups instead of three. I called the location to let them know (having been in business myself, Im always one for giving the business the opportunity to correct a mistake and ending up with a happy, loyal customer, rather than a dissatisfied one), and was handed over to the owner, Amrit, who was immediately confrontational, telling me we got two soups, and thats all we paid for. I was taken a bit aback by the tone, and told him wed definitely paid for three, but he insisted it was just two. He went to check, but before he had even checked, he told me that anyways they gave us the fries, which they shouldnt have given us. Wed only unpacked the bags, not opened the boxes, so hadnt noticed (but really, that was irrelevant). Amrit checked the order, realized we had been charged for 3 upgrades, but still, instead of apologizing not just for making the mistake in the first place, but for telling me so rudely that I was wrong when really he was wrong, he doubled down about how we got two sides for free, since we did get three fries. I agreed we got the fries, but we paid to get the soup. He eventually offered I could go there and theyd give me a soup. I said I wasnt going to drive there then and there and spend my time and gas to correct their mistake. After some more talk about fries, which I let him know very clearly was their mistake, so irrelevant as far as their mistake with the soup went (honestly, if he hadnt come on so strong and confrontational right from the start, I would have been fine with it once I realized we got three fries in addition to the two soups), he finally said theyd refund us the $3.99 next time we were in the area. Thats all he could do. He kept repeating $3.99, as if to drive home how little it was, so I reminded him not to forget about the tax. See you soon for those $4.19, Amrit! Ill check my couch cushions for a penny, in case you need change.

Took over an hour too eat

Pleasantly surprised good chicken stir fry, good fish n chips, decent prices. Host (presumably owner) nice guy.

Excellent service, fast kitchen. Professional and courteous staff, very clean establishment. Food was a little cold when it came to the table but not too bad. A solid 4 star experience this time. Prices are just a little higher than the average for this type of fare, which is the primary reason for taking 1 star off.

Decent place for a quick bite, service was quick and friendly. Large portion sizes and reasonable prices offer good value, but the quality of food and overall atmosphere was mediocre.

I went to eat here on July 1st around 7 pm. I had to use the washroom and the toilet was covered in feces. They didnt have a toilet paper dispenser. Just a roll of toilet paper sitting on top of the toilet which was also covered in feces fingerprints on the big roll. I should have just walked out then. I ordered the clubhouse sandwich with a house salad. The tomatoes were so mushy, The skin was peeling off them. The salad had the same rotten tomatoes in it that were in my sandwich. The service was fast and my server was nice but she never asked me how my meal was and I only ate half of it. I had heartburn all night from the food. Ill never go here again.

The picture on the menu of the pasta and the tiny cup of disappointment the sent me were not the same. Edit: the menu did not state this was a kids portion, however, irregardless of portion size the food did not remotely match the picture. Picture of what I ordered has been added

Use to be all day grill but got a tiny menu for breakfast only. And the food was just ok not good but ok ..

We had a wonderful dining experience at this location tonight. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with a friend. We all had the Southern-Style Chicken Tenders and the Beef, Pork & Ricotta Meatballs. The food was very good! What made our experience wonderful was our server Ishpreet. She was very attentive and provided us with the utmost in service! We would definitely come back!

Sandra was awesome. Rolled in here on the way to the zoo. Went to a diffo Rickys first and walked out and headed here to try again. Sandra killed it right outta the gates. Super service. Food was awesome. She was on top of everything. We saw her not only taking orders and serving but at one point she was mopping something up she was clearing someones table she was doing the hostesses job .... At one point we were wondering if she was even the cook too. She was non stop. Give her a raise! Thank you Sandra!

The food and the service are awesome the only issue is the atmosphere of the restaurant, kind of outdated and could use a makeover, but the staff were great!

I went there for lunch we had eggs benedict and all of our ladies said that the sauce on the eggs benedict was cold we told our waitress she said she would talk to the chef. In my opinion when you order things like this your meals should be hot and it was not. Was not a good experience.

We had breakfast here a little after 10 am. Wait, was brief 5 mins for a table.Service was friendly coffee refilled frequently, but asked if our granddaughter could order off childrens menu because she has small appetite she is 19 but was refused because shes too old?? Doesnt make sense cuz they lost a sale altogether because she wouldnt order a big meal and waste food, and we ordered breakfast for pick up and received kids meal for her, whats the difference????? Strange. So bit upset about that. But it was okay disappointed she didnt eat with us as we are visiting from calgary

If you come for breakfast and youre lucky enough to get Sandra as your server, you will have super fast and friendly service! she goes above and beyond and is a very hard worker. on top of the great service the food always comes out hot and tasty! would highly recommend

It shares the floor space with FAMOSA NEOPOLITAN pizza. The pizzas are good. The on flour I can eat because its Italian sourced. Rickys is great for breakfast.

Massive thank-you to Rickys for Accommodating our larger group today. Phaedra was extremely helpful making sure they had enough tables for us, and everyone was taken care of. Food came hot, fast and portions were huge! Everyone left full and happy. We would absolutely plan an event here again. Thank-you from all of us at the VVA Subaru Club.

Absolutely fantastic food and service!

We went for Rickys Thanksgiving special on Sunday. The usual turkey/stuffing/mashed potatoes/gravy but it also came with a caesar salad and piece of pumpkin pie. It was very good and we were very full after. We went again recently and this time I had their Liver and Onions. As you may know, liver is very challenging to cook and have it be tender. In this case, it was perfect - I could cut most of it with a fork. We also shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. It was fine, but we have had better.

We had originally planned on going to Olive Garden but it had over a two hour wait for a group our size. We looked for something close and decided on Rickys. I dont think any of us expected to be as happy as we were with this decision. We were a large group, five adults, two pre-teens, and three under two year olds. We were sat immediately, had great options for all ages, and received wonderful service. If you like diner style food then you should definitely check it out. The tomato soup was absolutely to die for. Parking: Big parking area in front of the restaurant Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and could easily accommodate a group that included two pre teens and three toddlers under 2.

My breakfast veggie bowel had a bit different test from the one I use to order at walnut Grove the Ranchero hollandaise wasnt even close. it tested like a ranch with bunch of tandoori spices on it. it tested very weird.

Been going to Rickys on 64th for 10 yrs. Breakfasts always good,since pizza famoza came in, food standard has dropped way down, prices way up! To pay for new decor ! Lost its friendly atmosphere shame.wont go back again

We were here a few days ago the female server was miss attitude. Came back today as we had a gift card nothing worse than going to the restroom and going to find out that there is no TP. We were suppose to have Cappalonni and basil on our pizza no Cappalonni and only one piece of basil

Worstestestestestest hope i find more appropriate word to describe this worst food. Such a waste of time.check the pic. Clearly it s mentioned that pancakes are served with butter n syrup, but we dint get. On top of it when i called the restaurant to ask why we dint get the mentioned menu, the lady was so rude, she just said yeah that is how it is and hung up the phone. And the food tasted yukkyyyyy. Smelled rotten and bitter. Definitely undercooked hashbrowns and pancakes. All the people out there, its a request for you all, if you want to be healthy dont order food from here. There are much more great restaurants who consider health , taste and safety of their customers. Hope i have 0 stars to give. What about the syrup and butter that has not been delivered. Why was that question not answered? I have mentioned what it tasted like to me. I am not pointing out at the staff, I understand the hard work of every person. But i would appreciate much if it made sure how properly that is delivered. Exactly we order food from the restaurants trusting it tastes reasonable.

Great service and staff. It was my first time trying out Famoso and they did not disappoint. I will definitely be going back for some pizza and wine and their Brooklyn Deli sandwich.

I had a lunch here and I found a hair on my pizza. I told this to my waitress and she took the plate to the kitchen without saying sorry. I she came out and ask Do you want a new one? It sounds like just giving me a new one will solve the problem. Listen, you put hair on my food then at least you need to say I am sorry, not just giving me a free food. I didnt ask to give me a new one, or I dont want to pay it but just hear I am sorry. Later that, the waitress drop the bill, still not saying sorry but Just letting you know that we removed the pizza from your bill. I didnt asked for that. What made you think this would make my feeling okay instead of saying sorry.

Pretty clean but slow....

My wife & I have been going to Rickis for years and always go for the Liver & Onions meal. Usually always a great dinner, except for this last time. The Liver was still really good, crispy fried, but the nice rich Hunter Gravy we usually got was different, just regular gravy mix. The Liver was still topped with enough fried onions, but instead of grilled fresh vegetables and real mashed potatoes we were very surprised to be served really wet instant mashed potatoes and obviously frozen mixed vegetables. What happened Ricky? Our waitress said, new owners and cutting cost. Too bad, tell me youve gone back to the original version and well be there for dinner again, otherwise youve lost a couple of dedicated customers. Ill be making my own Liver the way you used to..

My kid is allergic to certain products, so we asked the waitress what kind of food on their menu would be good. Her response: oh, I don t know what she can and cannot eat (JUST TOLD YOU LADY), fish maybe? Thanks helpful lady, you answered nothing. Know your menu if you work there. This used to be our favourite restaurant now it s been downhill since the past year. We finally found something on the menu to order (potstickers) and it was out of stock. On top of that, we ordered an item about 5 minutes after the happy hour time and they said they will need to charge extra. On top of that, this lady was NOT friendly at all. Where did all the good waitress go from here? P.S: don t offer to contact by email when you don t even reply to it. Stop trying to look like you are willing to resolve this on your google review

pm and I was asked to show my vaccination credential and government I d. No problem and I also had my mask on. From behind me came two persons that walked right in asked nothing, showing nothing I asked why this is procedure, I was told, it s ok, they know the manager. I replied knowing the manager tough, this is a pandemic. Next one of the waitresses kept calling me dear. I asked her please do not call me that she kept on doing that. I recommend not going to this restaurant because if they are skipping rules regarding government pandemic what else are they skipping. Not happy camper at all

I had tomato slices with my breakfast and they looked like they were really old and mushy. Other then that the rest of the food as delicious.

The worst service I ve ever gotten and gotten better service at McDonald. Went to eat at Ricky s on 64th and 200 st in Langley. The waitress sat us down and we were waiting for more than 10 minutes but no one has serving us not even a drink or utensils on the table also the place was not even busy.We left she we saw a couple arrived 10 minutes after us get serve before us.really bad service

Great breakfast here! Went keto today and had a scrambled egg, bacon, and avocado. Delicious! The wife had the baked rigatoni and she loved it as well. She said the garlic bread was the best shes had in a LONG time!

Great place for Breakfast has a good selection of food choices for all tastes and budgets. Make sure if you have younger children they have a treasure chest they can pick a small toy out of the younger ones love this . Dont know what dinner is like here as we always just have breakfast

Great takeout food & experience. Able to accommodate requests, they really listen and give you just what you asked for! Been ordering takeout throughout this shutdown experience and weve always recieved excellent tasty food and felt really appreciated as customers. Even the time I ordered the stir fry as a vegetarian meal, it was still fantastic! Breakfasts, burgers, its all been good. Nice change from cooking at home. :)

Service was very mediocre, food was acceptable. Value was subpar. You wont leave mad, you will just have this sneaking suspicion you could have done so much better.

Good food. Service was lacking. Server dropped off our food and never came back again. I was waiting for a refill the whole time but she never even walked by again. Its not like it was busy at 1pm on a thursday. 20 mins later she appeared with a bill. When we did see her she was very friendly and chatty. Im wondering if covid rules restrict her from coming to check on customers while they eat. Im used to servers frequently asking how the food is and if you need anything else.

The worst service I have received in BC in many years from an older hostess/waitress in glasses. During 10:30 breakfast on a Friday. She was rude, unhelpful, and brusque, in a nearly empty restaurant. Slamming down cutlery, menus, and debit machine. Not checking at any point on further needs, and ill-tempered and impolite. I hope she was just having a bad day, but it didn t seem like it was anything other than the norm. Food was typical Rickys fair. We had a simple order, and still tipped despite the horrible attitude she had, and we were kind and well-mannered, doing nothing to illicit such behaviour and abysmal service. Never again at that location. If you want Rickys, go to Highway 10 by the A&W.

Always a safe choice for breakfast, any time of day

We used to love Rickys however the prices have gotten out of control $16 - 18 for a burger is too much. Even the breakfast food which my wife and kids love have gone way up over the last few years. We have removed them from the restaurants we go to.

Good location with pleasant staff. Quick wholesome food and reasonable price.
