It was an amazing experience, enjoyed chicken tenders and veggie burger, sticky toffee, which is a full family dinner package. Servers are fantastic esp Isha who had a very friendly nature. Could not believe how bad the service was here. I m pretty forgiving with servers having no motivation - they all don t get paid enough. But it was jarring how bad it was here. Would not recommend.

Very good customer service, and atmosphere is very welcoming, and the food is great. My experience with this Rickeys was amazing the food was cooked deliciously and there is a variety different foods you can try. Highly recommend.

Terrible. Poorest managed place I have ever been to.food took an hour. Just getting a cup of coffee took 20 min. 2 servers at peak time the servers were nice and did their best. The manager should be fired.

Staff was really friendly. I asked for a separate seating because of personal reasons, and the staff were very understanding of that and made sure we were comfortable, which I thought was very nice. The food was very tasty as well. Super happy with the service. :)

It was my first time coming here and I can confidently say that it was a good experience. The food was delicious. I ordered fish and chips and it was one of the best I ve had in a while. The server was very nice too. Awesome service, good food, will visit again for sure!

The service here is terrible. I won t be going back and neither will the people that I was with. The food was alright. We went for lunch on a Friday There were only two wait staff working. They kept disappearing for long lengths of time. There were many tables with dirty dishes on them - no clientele - that sat there the whole time we were there. It took a server 15 minutes to bring coffee and iced teas. Over 45 minutes after taking our order for them to bring the food. We were there 1.5 hours and were only asked about refills once. We were one of two tables used in the entire restaurant. No one came to clear the empty dishes - ever. We finally became tired of waiting for a server to bring our bill, so we got up and started walking toward the door. Guess what?! A server finally appeared! They want your money but they don t want to do the work required. Watch out when you re paying! They want you to click 15% tip or more. Look down to where it says other and change it to whatever you feel their service is worth!

I went to lunch today and the workers were so kind. When I went inside the hostess greeted me so nicely and she was so kind and took me to my seat and my server was even better she was so respectful and nice I love coming here I come her at least twice a month it is my go to spot to dine because of the awesome service I get every time I go there and the food is just great personally my favourite is the breakfast bowls and the burgers and fries I always recommend this place to everyone I know

I have always came to this location and absolutely love it!!! Not only is the food amazing, but they have a great selection made for everyone!! Everytime I come to dine in, the servers are always so friendly, and the service is always great which makes me always want to come back:) Overall, an amazing place to eat and dine in!

Wouldn t let my 13 year old order from the kids menu. She didn t want a full sized meal. I m 38 and even McDonald s will sell me a happy meal if I order one. So guess what, my family of five walked out and spent $120 at milestones instead. Sorry to hear management at this location can t figure that one out.

Ordered 2 eggs any style breakfast, it came with toast and hashedbrowns. Also, a 3 pancake stack, plain. It was just my mother and myself. 1. The food was lukewarm. 2. The cubed potatoes were soaked in grease. You could see the grease, the potatoes were shiney. Grease oozed from the potato when my mom pressed them with a fork. 3. The toast was soaked in butter. The buttered dripped off of the toast. 4. The coffee was really strong, bad taste. 5. The pancakes were extremely dense and gluey. 6. The service was not good. She did the very least she could do. We had to hunt for coffee, she didnt check on us and ask how are food was. By the time we hailed her down, we just didnt care anymore and we wanted to leave. We did said something about the potatoes though. Her response was that they were greasy because the were deep-fried. Deep-fried doesnt equate to grease-soaked. I think she was the only waitstaff serving the tables. There was a young lady pouring coffee for tables (who was not very attentive) but i dont recall another waitress. For a Sunday afternoon, that seems very understaffed. The owner trying to cheap his way to more pennies in his pocket.

Service was slow. Entrees came before the appetizers. The wait staff was unfamiliar with the menu and one entree arrived at the table cold. Assisting staff seemed like they d rather be somewhere else and maybe should ve been. Several customers complained about the service, but full price with an expected tip was communicated and charged. Been going here for more than 20 years, but this was probably my last and will let everyone know that as well. Parking: It has parking

Breakfast menu isnt available for online orders BUT IS available until 4 in store, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, service was good. I would recommend they fix their website which dosnt allow anything off the breakfast menu to be ordered but as for dining in, would recommend and would go again

I suspect they are short staffed but still provided very good service and a lovely breakfast. I recommend them for a good and reasonably priced option.

Good food and quick service

I took grandma here for dinner. No one brought her a spoon for her coffee, even though we asked at least 3 times. I ordered the fish and chips, and on my 2nd piece of fish, I had 5 bones in one bite of the fish. It was startling to say the least (I under a bone potentially here and there but not a mouth full of bones in one bite)

Horrible experience at this place, I will never take anyone here. We order our food and drinks first they give a coffee to someone on our table when they clearly asked for hot water, than we waited for our food and 25 mins has pass while other people are getting their food I asked the waitress who was working she said sorry there was a messed up certainly I think they never punched in our order, when it came out it was just warmed not even hot. I will never come to restaurant again.

Was short on time, needing a quick experience - my server was lovely, had my food in under 10 mins and coffee was perfectly hot.

Have to give kudos to the limited staff in the restaurant this morning. Restaurant was steady. Group of six came in and was wanting to sit in an area closed because of Covid regulations. Staff explained situation and sat group at a table that was open that could fit the party of six As of Feb 27th, they have had a hiring sign on the sidewalk for about three weeks. The placed seems to get an employee and loose them hard on our weekly observations. The hotel and restaurant for the last three weeks is getting busier asked because of lack of staff service is suffering. Hopefully, whatever the issue is for them but finding new staff or good staff that its resolved soon before patrons start avoiding the place. Today was the worst when we seen another table leave after only getting one meal delivered and two others doing without plus hearing staff blame others when food items were not delivered to tables and the restaurant running out of cutlery and plates. Update as of Feb 2023. On Sundays the kitchen is a hit and miss on how good the cook is. I would say that one Sunday in four, the food is good. Today (Feb 19) I ordered the breakfast special. Three out of five items on they plate were cold (sausage, hashbrowns, eggs) The waffle pieces were overcooked and dry. Server of course was busy with half the restaurant dealing with other customers and cleaning tables, so could not talk to her until 1/4 of way through meal. Then all sher offers is an apology for an $18 meal not including coffee. Service both front and back of this place had declined unfortunately over the course of five months or so. On the lookout for a new place for breakfast that is not Dennys or Rickys in Langley where I can take my elderly mom on Sundays.

Suffered with cramps and diarrhea next day

If i can leave a worse review I would. The WORST. and I emphasize WORST service of my life. The server dealing with me was named Sim as she said. She not only charged me for 2 things I sent back for one- the drink having a hair in it, two- the chicken wings being almost raw and cold once they finally got to our table 45 minutes after ordering. She said since she offered to remake them I had to pay for it even after I refused for them to be remade as I lost my appetite. There was 2 servers working the whole restaurant and even with very little customers it took over an hour and a half for us to leave there. After I asked for a refund on the food we did not eat she started throwing receipts at me and ended up giving me back $8 in Cash after paying due to the fact I honestly just wanted to leave. There was no manager or Supervisor present at the time and she was extremely rude the entire experience. VERY disappointing and I will never be eating here again.

Excellent new server at Rickys named Kiri. Pleasant and attentive and provides excellent service with a smile.

My fiance and I were staying at the Best Western, which the front desk has mentioned we would get a %10 discount at Rickies. So, we decided to eat breakfast. At the end of our meal, she put the receipt down (never gave it to me) and put the total in. I paid and when she walked away I took a look at the receipt and noticed there was another discount. When I inquired, Tammy (the waitress) said its too late as we already paid... Prior to that, when they sat us down, it wasnt even a minute before another server asked if we were ready to order. Then when we finally ordered, they missed one of my items which took some more time to get back to our table, but by then, it was cold aa well as my hashbrowns.. I would pass on this place next time. The entire experience left a foul taste in my mouth.

The fries used to be great before the pandemic now theyre aweful i wouldnt feed them to a raccoon let alone put them in my own mouth Wheelchair accessibility: Dont even attempt to access through the restaurant door with a wheelchair go through the automatic front doors of the hotel and take a right turn down the carpeted hallway to get into rickys the brick is uneven in front of the door and the lip of the doorframe is raised up almost 2 inches this advice could save your life but will definately save you alot of frustraition

This has truly become my most favourite go-to breakfast place. Their staff s amazing. Especially their waitress NOR was so wonderful, polite and considerate. She was very consistent and made sure we were taken care of. Me and my brother went there for a Sunday brunch and we both had such an amazing time. Thanks NOR for your service!!

Dennys used to be a great place but its just an overpriced burger joint I couldnt believe it when I got the bill ,im never going back ,I couldve payed $10 less elsewhere for as good if not better meal ,at that price I couldnt tip ,Dennys is the rich and not the hard working class .

Rip off. Quantity is poor so is the taste. They would charge you extra even if you breathe more. Charged extra for some more sauce. Server suggested we order choco lava cake that was yuk. Bad food, bad quantity bad business sense.

Right next to the Best Western Plus Hotel Service very hard. Quality of food below standard. Schnitzel very dry and all finished products. There is supposedly a 10% discount for hotel guests. But the service apparently didnt know. Once and never again

Ordered the Mac and Cheese on Skip the Dishes for $19.99 received 1 cup of macaroni. Picture on skip also showed a large portion. Tasted great but for the price expected alot more.

Tried this place again yesterday. Still a big fail for me! Ordered Stuffed Hashbrowns and the Chicken Tenders with Turkey gravy instead of dipping sauce. Had to pay an extra $2.49 for a tiny dish of cold lumpy gravy! Yech! The tenders were just ok, but lacked any real taste other than the taste of the grease they were cooked in. Then the Stuffed Hashbrowns which cost $6.99 were not cooked at all... raw frozen shredded hashbrowns, yech! This experience cost me a total of $26.00 with tip. Highly do NOT recommend this restaurant!!

Friendly staff, good food, generous portion.

Arrived just before 1pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was only about 1/3 full. Seated immediately. Took 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. Ordered 3 teas and 1 coffee. They came quickly, with many refills on the coffee, but trying to get the servers attention for hot water was an impossible task. Waited over 25 minutes for our order. One order of salad came out, 4 minutes later the 2nd salad, then 5 minutes later the last two dishes. Meals should be served together. The ladies washrooms were disgusting. One unusable as not flushed and items in the bowl that should not be there. The handicapped had no lock on the door and no purse hanger. The server was pleasant.

Food is great. Waitresses are great. Restaurant is clean. Buuuutttttttt the bathroom could be nicer. It was clean but the tp dispenser was broken u had to fight with it.

My waffles were cold, the syrup was thin. And my friend never got the hollandaise sauce he asked for.

I really dont like getting rushed out the door just because its closing time and Ive got 3 bytes to finish. The food was ok but not great, the Monte Cristo was thrown together and all bunched up in the middle, ended up eating bread around the edges before I got to any meat and despite saying it was a homemade ceaser dressing, it was bland and runny. The lasagna on day 2 was far better and was pretty decent. Seemed they close too early and didnt do room service for the hotel.

The restaurant had lots of room. They check vacination certificates. Services was quick and the food was good . Plus they didnt run us out of the door. A nice afternoon chat with my friend.

The worse restaurant I have Ever ordered from. My friend ordered us breakfast and it was the most disgusting food ever consumed. The hollandaise was the most disgusting sauce I have ever tasted in my life. Sad excuse for a rickys. Please don t waste your money ordering from here or eating in person here they mess up your order even when they have clear instructions added and the food taste like it came out of a microwave. Best part of the meal was throwing it in the trash and learning to avoid this place like the plague.

Waited an hour for breakfast. Under staffed & poor service. Eggs and hashbrowns were comparable to McDonalds breakfast with the pancakes. I would recommend going to brogans if it comes down to the wire and youre in langley for breakfast.

I got the apple cinnamon waffle and it was really good. We waited at the front entrance for like 15 minutes before the host came to seat us, then once we were seated it took half an hour for the waitress to even come to our table. Then by the time we got our food we had already witnessed people arrive eat and leave. I almost passed out waiting for my food.

The mushroom Swiss burger was excellent the place was very understaffed one lady was running her butt off the other girl was new but she could of at least filled drinks for the one waitress Im sure they just cant get enough staff

Very disappointed with their service. I ordered Mac n Cheese from the kids menu today and they served me a rotten Mac N Cheese. It tasted and smelled really bad. On returning it to the staff even they agreed that it was bad and rotten. I did feed a part of it to my son because of which he threw up thrice and was very weak and low on energy after that. I even visited the doctor. I explained the entire situation to the staff there but very bad response from their end. I doubt understand how can they compromise with the quality of kids food.. Really very disappointed

Went for lunch and was immediately served. The wait times for the food was almost non-existent and the portions are HUGE! Ordered the Fish and shrimp platter and was NOT disappointed. Food tasted lovely, great atmosphere and friendly staff. What more is there to ask :)

Can I give 0? Sat for almost40 minutes before I got a coffee then another hour before they took my order. Then another hour before we got refills .watched people come and go without even being dervered.what shouldve been a 90 minute event turned into a 3hour experience and they didnt get the order correct

I m a very respectful person to all! I also am very respectful to my Fiancé! She expects me to take care of her needs therefore I will ask her what she desires and as a gentleman I order for her as well as myself! This is called chivalry to the good! When I ordered for her to the waitress, she proceeded to ask if I was ordering for myself and seemed very upset that I would have the audacity to speak for my fiancé! After ordering, she showed a very displeasure for us and we were treated to a long wait for our meal! Also she would come by and just slop coffee into my cup wether I wanted more or not! The food was good and well prepared as expected. But the service was very uncomfortable! Both my Fiancé and I will think twice about coming back after the experience we had after this. I ve never been treated this way at other eateries before! Please train your severs to understand that chivalry is proper and that bad service is not! BTW, I still left a 10% tip for the kitchen but am very cautious as to were I take my Fiancé for a meal!

Great Virgin Ceasars

Came in and someone with black sweat pants and a hoodie greeted us. Looked about 15 or 16 years old. No dress code there really. Everyone was basically a mess. We were greeted right away though. That was after about five or six minutes and me going further into the restaurant to grab someone s attention. When we sat down someone she asked us if we wanted a drink. We asked for coffees. She came back with the coffees within a couple minutes. My wife asked if she could grab her Splenda. She said she wasn t sure. She walked back in the back and directly out the other door from the kitchen. Didn t even check anything. Then she went to a table and took their order. I mixed my coffee and drank it. By the time I was done my coffee no One had come with Splenda and no one had come to give us menus or anything else. The restaurant was 2/3 full and there was five serving staff. So not super busy for that amount of staff. It s a fairly small restaurant. While we were waiting for a server we could hear bickering from the older lady server to one of the foreign girls. Quite rude and condescending actually. She did not like the East Indian girl who was just asking for help. After I finished my coffee we decided to get up and leave. We went to Newlands golf course for a delicious buffet. Which is what we went to Ricky s for in the first place. When we asked the older woman server if they still had the buffet she laughed like I should know better and told me that they haven t had that sense COVID. We just left $5 on the table and went. The woman in plain clothes tried to stop us and ask us if we could stay and she ll help us. Manager maybe? Anyway. When she did, she was holding back my son from leaving. It was super weird. We just said no thank you and left. I wouldn t go here. Seems like they have some things to sort out. Very weak management. Maybe weak ownership. Traditionally organization and poor staff are because of poor leadership. Anyway. Just my review.

this time food was not great like last time

This is single-handedly the worst experience I have ever had dining out. Completely understaffed so I do not blame my server, however, the management needs to seriously evaluate the way they run this restaurant. I heard the manager yelling at my young server in the back. Very unprofessional and quite honestly disgusting. The mistake is on you, the management; not the young servers you hire and verbally abuse. I am honestly concerned for the treatment of your employees at this establishment. Never in my life have a witnessed such disrespect. My food was completely cold and waited a ridiculously long amount of time to get inedible food. Those dining around me seemed to be experiencing the same issues and although the server that was catering to all of us apologized numerous times, I believe that this mistake could be avoided with having more staff on shift. Manager is a complete cheapskate. 0/10 I would rather go to McDonald s. Do better Ricky s management, get some help.

Good food and service

We had our granddaughter it was awesome and they didnt have coloring bookor pages but she did bring her some blank paper and crayons.. her meal looked fabulous.. I had a clubhouse and it was great!! Husband ate A Roast beef dinner it came with the works!

my breakfast with chunky hashbrowns came mixed with what looked like someones brekky bowl leftovers added..the tattooed Tammy assured thats how theyre made..no theyre not..the onions and red peppers were very well done but not the hashbrowns...there was also fried egg in it.. tattooed Tammy the obnoxious waitress said she gave a discount..no she didnt...she didnt get a tip and she threw the bill on the table and stormed away..i wont be coming back

Mediocre food and poor service. Ordered a monte cristo for the son and a salad for myself. One tsp of dressing on the bottom of the plate for the salad and smelled like fish? (Salad had chicken in it), no aoli on the sandwich, and soggy bread. Used to be really good food here, apparently not any more.

Worst Ricky s experience EVER! I asked for half fries half Caesar, they charged me $9 for a starter Caesar, did not tell me they couldn t do half and half (would ve just ordered with a Caesar ) and then took $.90 off when I complained. RIDICULOUS. Terrible customer service

Last Tuesday I was in for a late lunch and I witnessed a woman who was ordered to pay before she received anything simply by the way she looked she was not bothering anybody simply obviously wanted to eat she was repeatedly told she had to pay before she received anything so she left before she left she came by our table and asked if we had to pay before we received our meal we said no. I felt bad for the server is she clearly looked distraught seems like the server was willing to serve the person no problem but a lady there with black hair Im guessing the manager refused however she just said it on the sidelines she wasnt really out there telling the customer as we were walking out I saw the woman talking to the waitress who was apologizing the lady was crying and I felt horrible will not be returning to this establishment ever again also want to note that the woman appeared to have a black eye and perhaps was the victim of some domestic violence so sad this restaurant completely violated every human right she has this occurred the 29th of November my last day ever entering this establishment

this restaurant is now my new favourite place to go every sunday for breakfast the food tastes amazing and my server NOR did a great job too she was taking good care of my table. so in all everything about this restaurant was great.

Breakfast!

Stopped in during a rainy afternoon and got exceptional service! We arrived just before the start of Seniors Dinner - 430pm - and they stretched the time for us. The Senior evening menu has many great items. We chose Turkey Dinner, and Salisbury Steak Dinner. Turkey hit all the right elements; sliced Breast meat over Dressing, mash Potato with Turkey gravy, and very nice veg including carrot slices and broccoli florets cooked tender and tasty. With a side of Cranberry jelly. Perfect! Salisbury Steak had a nice sized portion with cooked onion and mushroom topping ; they supply a steak knife, though it is tender enough to cut easily. Potato mash and same veg complete the meal, and the gravy is a meaty beef style that completed the meal very tastily. As an aside, our friend enjoyed a Ruben with a side salad. The sandwich was exactly what youd expect, including a dark Rye bread and good sized meat portion. The salad was very tasty, with an excellent mixture of lettuce, cranberries and a tasty dressing. And the Tea and Coffee were just the thing to drive away the cold of the rain. Plus the Seniors items included very nice portions of Pie. We had Pumpkin and Banana Cream, each quite enjoyable. A very pleasant visit.

if i could give 0 stars i would. spent 100$ and the whole order was terrible, the burger was pink. management was rude and argumentative, will never be going back.

Food was fine but though it wasnt busy the server forgot a lot of our order as well as for others.

This is a review about customer service. We came there to have lunch with our kid. I asked for a sauce they didnt have and they personally made it for me. We waited for food for a long time and were ready to leave but then the manager came and surprised us. He gave our son a complimentary side dish and two toys for our troubles. We were very pleasently surprised. Even though our initial impression wasnt the best, the management handled the situation very well and we left happy and satisfied.

Great meal first time there but will go again

We had ordered on skip the dishes and when the food came the chorizo in the Brekkie bowl was burnt and I had gotten breakfast potatoes instead of shredded hashbrowns with my Benedict. We called the restaurant and spoke to the kitchen manager who personally drove out replacements to our house very quickly. The replacements were absolutely perfect and they even included a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie which happens to be my husband and my favourite dessert. Top-notch customer service and excellent food. Will definitely be visiting and ordering delivery again :)

A piece of advice to the people working here today - food, condiments, napkins etc are useless if you don t provide cutlery. In theory I should have ensured/checked but thought it would be safe to assume there would be CUTLERY in a to go order. Had to drive all the way back home just to get some, in order to eat the food we got which is now cold. Just a little FYI.

Never been there

It is a good restaurant of its type. It is a place to get a burger or a turkey dinner. It is not fine dining, and does not pretend to be. Serving staff very pleasant. Food was good. Portions were fairly large.

Very good food and awesome waitress

My mother and I attended this restaurant and have to say the food was terrible. The two young servers were both attentive and polite so score a 10 from us. We shared the pot roast dinner. I am sure the overcooked and extremely mushy shredded beef was reheated. The root veggies where carrots and I think they were squash.....unpeeled, hard and absolutely flavourless and dry. Mash potatoes....just ok. I told the waitress the veggies were really not good. We decided to order dessert and I was presented with a piece of apple pie. I said to my mother...would you ever serve a piece of pie like this to one of you guests. The answer was no. I am not exaggerating when I say ...it looked like it had been dropped and pit back on the plate. Pastry completely broken and all over the pie. I left all the crust on the plate and ate half the apples...from a tin I am sure. I don t normally complain but wow....will never return and even though I told the sweet server several times of the meal being very unappealing no senior manager appeared. 0/10 sorry.

I must say I have been dining out quite a bit recently, but my experience here is the only one I feel necessary to share. My husband and I switched up our usual dining destination and decided to try out Ricky s as it used to be a favourite of mine. We were immediately met by communicative and welcoming service staff. Our drinks arrived within the minute of being ordered, and even though it was beginning to fill up, the servers seemed organized and cheerful to everyone coming in. Each staff member was extremely attentive to the needs of everyone around us, but our server in particular was incredibly charismatic, friendly, humble, and personal. The food came out quickly and the recommendation she gave us (as we were indecisive) could not have met our desires more perfectly. If you want precision, a warm and fun yet professional environment, and wonderful food clearly made with care, I strongly recommend the Ricky s country- by the best western hotel. I witnessed our server being praised by tables around us- young couples, seniors, families, and singles alike- and she certainly deserved it. Easiest generous tip I have ever given. We will be back!

This restaurant has its roots in ABC and to me it s the best interpretation of Ricky s. Lovely waitresses serving classic breakfasts, reasonably priced lunches and appy hour at 3pm. Comfy booths, pleasant sound levels make this a great place for catching up with old friends. Try the Blackstone Benedict or go for the traditional supper fare. Langley Bypass and Glover Road where the country meets the city.

This place used to be always full. Smaller portions, a lack of servers.

I will not be returning to this restaurant. The servers were quite rude, in my opinion (eye-rolling when asked a simple question is not acceptable in the service industry)

Horrible breakfast. Used to get the eggs benny all the time from here and loved it. Now they don t even poach your egg. It s an egg formed in a mould like McDonalds, but they still charge you $18 for it. It s awful, don t waste your money.

Came here for breakfast with my family and had the veggie breakfast bowl. It was good. Our service was slow and our 2 kids meals were ready almost 15 minutes before the two adults food. But overall not bad.

Generous servings. Great service. Remember to support these businesses or they will not survive.

We have Had better service last time there ,this time had dinner was not good and service was very poor , waitress to earn a tip is to work at it make your customer walk out happy I was not happy with my service . came back again never again very very back service again rude waitress you need better waitress walked out this time .
