SAHOTA'S LIVE GRILL, Langley in Langley

I recently visited with my wife for a Lunch Buffet. We really liked the place and the food. There were ample options in veg and the taste was also nice. The main attraction was the Chaat section, where Arsh served us all chat varieties and she made them up to the mark, we didnt expect that as usually in buffet its self service. We really enjoyed having food at Sahotas Grill and would like to visit the place again in future.

We visited to langley location today and tried buffet especially chaat section and our server Harsh and Arsh welcomed us with a warm smile and their service was amazing.I really like their nature and they helped us a lot. the food was hot. I m so happy and definitely I ll visit again

I was in the area having my car serviced at Dales Automotive(amazing shop with great guys). Went for a walk and came across Sahota s by chance and decided to check it out for lunch. I rarely do the buffet(kind of creep me out), but after a look I signed right up, the food was excellent, service was also excellent. Wide selection of food and amazing flavours, I live in Squamish but will visit ever time I m in town.

This was our first time visiting and heres what I thought of it. My friends came from Abbottsford to try the Live grill because the newly opened Abbottsford location did not offer this. Sadly it wasnt the greatest as there was only two choices, chicken or paneer with four different flavours for each. It wouldve been nice to have other options like prawns, just vegetables, fish etc... available on the live grill. Something like what they do at BBQ Nation in India. The food overall was very good. Nice quantity and nice flavours . The waiter service could improve our server as nice and sweet as she was she did not come by to ask for water refills or even at the end of the dinner did not come by to pick up the dishes until we asked, so little improvement there is needed. The music could be toned down a bit. It sounded like I was in a club. The mens bathroom toilet was out of service. They should have fixed that quickly. Luckily for me there was a family bathroom that I used. Would I go visit again yes and do I recommend it yes .

If you re in the area and not eating here on the regular, you seriously don t know how to eat! Dishes are fresh and delicious. The best naan and lots of vegetarian and meat options. A clean and comfortable dining room. All you can eat weekday lunch with their free membership is cheaper than most McDonald s meals! Incredible value. Will come out from NW Surrey on the regular to eat here over anywhere else. Vegetarian options: Full section of vegetarian options, maybe 8-10 dishes, many with paneer.

The Langely location offers buffet whichly completely average. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian Parking: Lots of free parking based on the size of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Yes very kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheel chair accessible. Double door entrance that is not automatic is the biggest problem.

Had me wait for 40 minutes, no one was there at the front desk had to wait there for 10 minutes then 30 minutes I was waiting for one drink and one dish. When it was served it was totally cold and unappetizing. They are understaffed. One server trying to do everything and service is not good.

My family and I came to Sahota s grill again to give it a second chance after we received poor service a few months back & nothing has changed with their service it is the same horrible service, the manager came during appetizers from a distant and ask if we liked the food I said yes and he walked away but our server never came once to ask if we needed anything else or to ask how the food was while we were there I had to get up from our table and ask if we could please get some more water and she came and dropped off a bottle of water and left was not knowledgeable about the alcohol I had to go check at bar what they had as well has it was never asked if I wanted another during my time there so only had one drink by far the worst service and experience we have received in a long time honestly so many other restaurants out there to get a better service and dining experience at save your money and spend it where it s appreciated. I will not be ever going back to this restaurant we spend $200+ here tonight and I will give that to another restaurant that appreciates my money.

BEWARE BEFORE COMING TO SAHOTA S for lunch buffet: Drove all the way from Vancouver to Langley just to try for the $18.99 lunch the first time, but without any notice they told us, as we entered, that there s an Indian event taking place and so they gave us an option to sit outside on the patio (on a cold rainy overcast day), and once we denied they offered to sit at the bar but told us we only get to eat for 1 hour because of the event is for those special guest only and they reserved the whole buffet in advance. Honestly feel so ripped off driving 1hr here and even called in the early morning to confirm and they didn t say anything about an Indian event. For those driving far to try this place, beware, call in and ask specifically if lunch buffet is open for EVERYONE before coming. They literally gave us no real option but to leave, so too bad we couldn t even try their food. I would usually make an effort to go far for good Indian food, but not going to entertain Sahota s if this is how staff treats customers sadly

I havent been to the Abbotsford or Surrey location. However, I have been to the Langley location the number of times, and the food has always been excellent. It is a buffet when I serve myself. Of course, the service is reasonable for a buffet. However, the server does come by occasionally, and clear plates and they are sure to bring you anything else you need. Buy always order my naan bread extra buttery even though I know thats not normal, it sure tastes good. I have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere here, I highly recommend this place. I do wish however set the music was a little bit softer because it is loud when youre trying to talk, it would also be nice to have a little bit of soft Indian music in the background as it is in Indian restaurant karma not too loud just a soft sound would be nice. Wheelchair accessibility: Big open area tables with a good-sized entrance to get in the building.

Unique place with big menu, quality food and great service.

If you go in a weekend be prepared to pay $19+ $5 service fee plus taxes and tips for cold food and slow service. Went for the 1st time and will never go back, everything was cold, it took over 20mins for our dirty dishes to be cleared. They have only 1 server that is assisting the whole restaurant. We asked another server, Simran who was just standing and staring if she could clear the table and she said wait and right in front of the whole restaurant she confronted the other server who was actually the only one working and ask her to clear the table. The staff do not work as a team, very unprofessional. We asked for separate bills for our table and we each were charged $5 service fee per bill. Wished we drove another 5 mins away to Indian affair. Atleast the food is hot fresh affordable and they have way better service.

The food tastes good, but factoring the price it s hard to choose Sahota s over other nearby places. It s clear they spent a large part of the budget on decor so the atmosphere is more upscale/western than what you d expect at an Indian restaurant.

Food is so tasty! Have had the veg thali, chicken korma, coconut curry shrimp with rice and naan, but my all-time favourite is the pomfret fish. A non-spicy dish, but oh so tasty! Not many places that will serve you a whole fish including the head and bones. Even the presentation is fabulous - the fish is served on a wooden platter, over a bed of creamy coleslaw, and lined with cucumber slices accompanied by a yogurt dip. It does not come with any carbohydrates, so you need to order separately if you want a filler, or enjoy it on its own as a fantastic low-carb meal. And if you stay at the hotel next door, you automatically get a 12% discount if you show them your room key! Waitstaff are friendly, smiling, and attentive without hovering. Music is a little loud, but you can still easily carry a table conversation. Very hip and upbeat vibe. A great place to enjoy a great meal! Wheelchair accessibility: Front entrance and side exit are wheelchair accessible. Automatic door openers are present, but slow to open. Faster if you have someone to hold the doors open for you, but the doorway becomes a bit narrow. Inside is spacious with many tables that can accommodate removing a regular chair for a wheelchair. Lots of room to wheel inside.

Pathetic service. Found a hair in the food we ordered yesterday . I called their store, that i have pictures as well. I garbaged the whole paneer tikka.. just asked for refund/score credit. They said they will enquire and call us tmrw. Today we called again, they said they want paneer tikka back and can give us a discount only for next time. Bro, are you living in real world? If you wanted the food back, you should have asked me yesterday only. When i have garbaged the whole thing in big garbage bins, you want me to pick and found that from the bins now? I don t need any discount, i just need my money back that i spent on your hairy food. You loose a good customer guys. Really disappointing!

Vegetarian options: My brother and I, both vegetarians, recently enjoyed a delicious takeout meal from sahota s live grill. The Veg Hakka Noodles were perfectly seasoned with a great blend of veggies, and the Navratan Korma was creamy and packed with flavor. We loved the soft, fresh Butter Naan, and the Kadhai Paneer had the perfect kick of spices. The Mix Veg Curry was hearty, and the Saffron Rice was aromatic, tying everything together beautifully. Our family dined out to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly delicious with generous serving sizes. The Sahotas Special Kabab is a must-try. The staff were exceptionally friendly, particularly Ritika, who was very polite and helpful. She even arranged a special candle-lit treat to make our celebration even more memorable. We look forward to returning to try more of their delightful dishes Dietary restrictions: They have nice variety of gluten free dishes.

However, the service was very slow, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. Went there today with my family, when we came in the tables were dirty so we asked the lady to help out with that but it wasn t done well so we switched to another table which the table was also dirty. The appy were honestly mediocre. The Paneer tikka tasted like rubber and the chilli chicken tasted way too chewy as compared to other places. The background music was also a bit annoying as it didn t really fit the vibe of the place. The service and the chai was honestly the only good thing about it.

Mind you this was for a buffet. Which is great hrs & price. Food was good quality. I have seen larger selection. The set up & quality of the establishment is very good & high quality. As in furnishing, decor amenities etc. Only thing was having to ask multiple workers multiple times just to get a glass of water. Than again for everyone not just the person who asked & waiting hrs for naan to show up.

Okay so here s the experience ..I ordered with them using door dash and I was not able to add extra pavs for pav bhaji in DoorDash and I called them to seek out help They didn t help me out and wanted me to order again or takeout for one petty pav..I mean I don t think giving one extra pav to someone due to valid reason would make big difference.

We eat a lot of meat buffets, and this is certainly the very best ones we have ever been to. Fantastic selection and very good service. Highly recommended! Sanchit was one of the staff people here and incredibly helpful.

Several delivery options were offered on the Sohota Grill site. I selected Skip the Dishes. I was not asked for my address, but when I viewed the order summary two addresses were shown. My address, and somewhere around the Save On Foods Plaza in Cloverdale. I could not contact StD, the restaurant staff claimed they had no way to contact the delivery company and took the attitude too bad for you. The driver did call from the incorrect address, . I told him he was in the wrong place and that the second address was mine. He said he had to call his dispatch people. He called back to say he had been instructed not to go to a second address, and that he could or would not, provide a contact so I could call Skip the Dishes dispatch myself. The number on the site said they were not accepting calls, directed me to the StD site which was equally unhelpful. I was attempting to order a meal for a visitor at my home, so after two frustrating hours, and no delivery, I ended up ordering again, paying again and driving to pick up the food myself. Missing items in takeout and wrong curry. Server did not give us the palak paneer as requested and also forgot to pack the rice and salad. Server told us we can come back for the rice and salad but they would not give us our palak paneer as they are in a dinner rush. Server offered a gulab jamun as a replacement for the palak paneer. This was an extremely disappointing experience. If were paying for food, we expect everything that we paid for. An apology and an offer for a gulab jamun on our next vist is not sufficient. There may not be a next visit.

Service was experienced awesome and it was done by arshdeep. It was great experience. We tried buffet and chart section. it is really worth going there.

My husband ordered the veg thali takeout from your restaurant yesterday. When placing the order he was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. However, when he arrived within that time frame, he ended up waiting a total of 45 minutes. During this time, three different staff members repeatedly asked him for the order details, including what was ordered and the name it was under, which made it seem like the order had been forgotten. Unfortunately, there was no compensation for the delay, even though the restaurant wasn t busy. When he got home, food did not meet the requested spice level, tasted bland and mild. The food tasted old, and like leftovers, and he experienced an upset stomach throughout the night. He was very excited to try this restaurant but instead felt like he wasted his money. This was our first and, unfortunately, our last experience with your restaurant.

Great food, great service, and I dont k ow what impressed me more. How amazing the food was, or how immaculate and modern the washroom was! Also has a family one which was great for us and our young kids. Kids also loved the Mac and Cheese which was done not in the usual style, but was delicious. We look forward to our next visit!

Food is very good. Good portion size. Veg Manchurian was tasty and crispy! Live grill is a good experience. Ambience is good as well! Generally not too busy! Service needs improvement. The wait staff was not very attentive even though there were just 2 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. They didn t refill water, didn t set out the plates and cutlery just put it at the end of the table in a stack, forgot to bring one item from the order which we had to remind. Maybe better hospitality training is needed.

From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! Our family especially enjoyed the appetizers, the variety of desserts, and the chat. The Alu chat and dahi puri by Arsh and service by Ekta was a crowd-pleaser! Highly recommended!

It is my 6th time visiting this place , not only the food but the service of the lovely staff was awesome. Ritika and Ekta served us most of the time with great suggestions of what to try from the menu. The service by the staff is satisfying in every visit. Also, the drinks made by Simrat were fantastic.

All Restaurants in Surrey Give Salad these guys gave salad after asking for it .It was Stale salad with foul smell.

We had the following:- 1. Dahi bhalla 2. Chaat papdi 3. Ajwaini fish tikka 4. Malai kofta 5. Dal makhni 6. Tandoori naam 7. Butter naan 8. Green and kuchumber salad My family enjoyed, the food appeared good and fresh. The ambiance is amazing. Service girl Simrat was fantastic and demonstrated amazing hospitality skills. We are impressed by the ambiance and service provided by Simran.

Yesterday i Got haryali paneer tikka and got hair when I opened the box. Call restaurants to complaint about this and they told me they checked their surveillance and find nothing. This is very disappointing. Don t recommend to visit or take out. I wish i could give them 0 star.

Came here alone had the $13.99 lunch buffet it was good and flavourful, staff all great especially pawan and arsh and harsh, not a massive selection but totally enough. I was full there are lots of dishes havnt tried.. good vibes and casual. Very good will come back with a few people

Everything Is great, in terms of food chat section, gulab jamun, chicken tikka and dal makhan are fantastic, other stuff is not Bad but nothing extraordinary, staff Arsh and Ekta were very nice and attentive.

A great spot to hang out. Great service and large menu with lots of appetizers and mains to choose from. Agam was our server and she made sure we had a nice experience. Looking forward to coming back here for sure.

Delicious food. The spice level starts around medium compared to other Indian restaurants in Langley. The buffet is a great value at $13.99 with a free membership. I tried samosa chaat for the first time today. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten! The staff is friendly and helpful.

Buffet variety and taste is very good. Family place, ample parking. Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoy meal as its mild to medium or hot as you want it.

Today , for the second time I went to your restaurant and this time I experienced everything good there was no complaint regarding anything which used to be before. This time when I entered , I talked with host , he is literally amazing guy , I guess his name is sanchit he is from Delhi too, he welcomed me all of his heart and he was talking to me like a family member. I like the way he takes feedback from every table about the services . There was no such issue I found this time and hope so never in future too. Thank you
