It was our first time there. Celebrated our 27th Wedding Anniversary and my sons birthday . The service was excellent, and the food was very delicious. Enjoyed it. Thank you

Ordered the Louisiana chicken sandwich and fries with side of mayonnaise. The food took long (place wasnt busy), the fries were barely warm and the mayonnaise wasnt delivered. Sandwich was just ok. Orange juice tasted like syrup. The server never returned but another girl did and I reminded about the mayonnaise and said she would get it and never returned. I tried to make eye contact with server and had to go over and remind about forgotten mayonnaise. They wanted to bring the mayonnaise and I declined as the fries were cold. They gave 25% off but should have covered the meal as I ate about 35% and the rest was garbage at home. Won t go here again. There are too many good places to eat in Langley to risk wasting money at The Lodge.

Considering the premium prices and awkward location the food was nothing special at all. Very mid would not recommend going out of your way for this place. Bland steaks, texture was off of vegetables (raw) and mashed potatoes (dry and stiff), escargot had no mushroom. Its attached to a curling/hockey rink which I wasnt aware of before we got there. Makes for a weird vibe and the restaurant is surprisingly small.

I got take out from lodge today and while I was walking away, another staff member said to the one who took my payment, skip? She replied yeah. It was obvious they were referring to me skipping the tip, but what should I tip for? Her saying hi and handing me a bag? I don t expect a tip at my job for greeting customers. Do these two women expect Uber and SkipTheDishes drivers to tip them when they pickup food? Advice: ask your boss for a raise if takeout tips matter to you so much; get a higher paying job or a 2nd job. I d tip if you brought it out to me and I didn t have to climb a flight of stairs or take a slow elevator to get the food. Food wasn t even good today either.

My wife and I, along with three other couples, recently visited The Lodge Steakhouse to celebrate a friend s birthday. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our server was friendly. After we received our drinks and appetizers, we were looking forward to a great evening. Unfortunately, things took a turn once we placed our orders for the main course. Most of us ordered steaks (all but two), but it took over an hour for the food to arrive. During that time, our drinks sat empty for much too long, and we found ourselves wondering what was going on with our meals. When we finally asked, the staff mentioned the delay was due to a large party ahead of us. It would ve been nice if they had informed us of this earlier instead of leaving us to wonder. When the steaks finally arrived, we were disappointed to find them underwhelming, especially given the price. For $56, the ribeye was barely an inch thick, and the cook on them was average at best certainly not what you d expect for that price. We brought our concerns to the manager, who took three appetizers off the bill as a gesture of goodwill. She was pleasant about it, but ultimately, the compensation didn t make up for the overall experience. In summary: paying $56 for a small, mediocre steak after a long wait with little communication is simply not worth it. We won t be back.

Good service. Food was good but not great. The restaurant is beautiful loved the atmosphere. Dietary restrictions: Waitress seemed annoyed that two in our party were asking what was gluten free. But she did go check to make sure. Could have had it marked on menu to help prevent that in the future.

The restaurant has a nice ambience and the service was ok. My husband received a 2nd caesar, but never ordered it. We ordered mussels to start and 5 of them didnt open therefore werent edible. The food was way overpriced as it was just average.

VERY disappointed with the quality of the food. Service was excellent (Nathan!). We both had rib-eye steaks asked for medium rare (rare side of that) and both were very thin and overcooked. The mushrooms for $15 each were in a sauce that was so salty it was ruining the steaks. The veggies and wedge salad were ok. It was also $16 for a virgin Caesar. We like supporing our local eateries but in compare to the last visit, things in the kitchen here have gone way downhill. FOLLOW UP TO THIS REVIEW - The Chef contacted us which I found very professional. He agreed on some of our concerns and we did catch them on an off day. We are going give them a second chance soon and report back but just in terms of following up to this review, being professional in our communication and making it clear they expect the next time to be different really impresses us.

I really wanted to like it but there were just too many misses for this to be a restaurant I go to again. Made a reservation for our anniversary and asked for a table near a window if possible. Despite them calling and us confirming our reservation when we got there apparently they couldnt find our name. Not sure if thats why we were sat at what felt like the outer edge of the restaurant next to a brightly lit hallway. It was loud and really lacked any ambiance. The tableside Caesar salad was delicious despite the fact that most of the lettuce was brown on the edges. My husband had the ribeye and while cooked properly it was fatty and definitely not worth over $50. My sable fish was cooked well but lacked any seasoning and the whole dish just tasted like maple syrup and was far too sweet with no balance. The brussel sprouts were also not balanced in flavour and tasted like vinegar only. We decided not to take any chances with dessert so I cant judge those. Its not an ideal location for a steakhouse but I could get over that if the restaurant itself was worth it. Unfortunately this place just doesnt deliver for the price point and Im glad I used a coupon. We may have gotten them on an off night but there are many other restaurants to choose from if you want to splurge and have a nice dinner.

We came for our anniversary dinner. We sat in a booth that looked outside. Our server was Chelsea and she was amazing! She was personable and friendly and on top of things. We ran out of bread with our baked Brie, a d she brought more without being asked. Our waters were always full. The food was fantastic. Every last bite made us want more. Chelsea also gave us an amazing dessert to celebrate our anniversary. 10/10 stars recommend coming here.

We had the absolute best experience at The Lodge to celebrate our elopement with family. Our server was so attentive and gracious. Food was hot and very delicious. Excellent presentation. The wine menu was 10/10. They brought our cake out and had added congratulations in powdered sugar. It was a great experience and I highly recommend going here. Had tender New York Striploin 10oz steak that was cooked perfectly medium rare, beautiful seasonal vegetables and mash on the side. 10/10 would recommend! *primarily reservation

Langley BC Finally made it to The Lodge last night. My son and I had the 32 oz Porter House steaks. Medium rare as it should be although his was still bloody they quickly made things right. We totally enjoyed the place, the food, the ambiance and the attentive service. Well be back.

They should change there name because my steak had so much grissle in it I could not chew it. It was also over done which didn t help much either.

Amazing food and service for our Anniversary Great table and good food selection. Complimentary champagne for our Anniversary and table service for Cesar salad and scallops. Would highly recommend for any special occasions.

Wow our first time tonight at the lodge steakhouse n really enjoyed the outside patio . was awesome n very much enjoyed the food , drinks , desserts n our waitress aliesa was incredible .. highly recommend trying this hidden gem .cant wait to come back n bring my family n friends The pub I can t wait to try it s so cute .. what a great place For drink I had a ceasar n omg I think it was the best I ve had comes with a strip of yummy bacon , prawn , pickled beans n olives .. so good Appys we shared shrimp cocktail n escargo sooo good Dinner we both had the tenderloin steak cooked to perfection it was the best tenderloin so tender juicy n the flavour was mouth watery .. mashed potatoes n veggies were a Perfect match with steak but we were so happy we ordered a side dish of the mushrooms omg they are delicious n great addition with the steak n believe or not we had to try the crème brûlée .. absolutely delicious Loved our first time at the lodge n will not be our last .. can t wait to bring my dad here for his bday n hope he orders the tomahawk as he s a big steak lover Thank you so happy we found you n can t wait to come back very soon If I could rate higher I would .. food n service was top notch for us awesome experience

Had the chicken burger was fairly large, crisp in all the right places, yet soft and moist. Only complaint is the portion of fries is comparable to a small fries from McDonalds.

Who knew 5 star dining above a hockey arena. Great Service. Great Food. Eat outside if you want to be able to talk as the acoustics are that of a hockey arena.

My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary here and had a really exceptional experience. Actually felt very cared for and it was such a treat. Our server Elisia was absolutely a joy and made our evening very special. Extremely professional and timely service, very tasty food and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Natasha was a very kind waitress, who enhanced our first time experience at The Lodge. We ordered a starter of calamari, the prime rib special, and the pork belly. All of our food was nicely plated, and very tasty. Will definitely recommend, and looking forward to going back!

Always have a good meal here never disappoints

The service was amazing. I came to eat steak and it was very refreshing to see normal people on the service staff. I find chain steakhouses often employ all under 25, tiny people that make me feel like I shouldn t be ordering as much for the table. But not the lodge. We were made to feel special for coming in for our anniversary and not rushed at all while also having our waitress near by whenever we needed something. This is our new go to steakhouse. The food was great and the Tiramisu was so good. Parking: The restaurant was packed and there was still half the lot available.

Ive been going to the lodge for a couple of years and it never disappoints. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. If youre looking for a great place to have a steak in a relaxed atmosphere then this is the place to go

We had the lodge cater an offsite birthday party for us, they did a hotdog bbq for a birthday and it was fabulous! The staff was friendly and accommodating, they brought everything down to paper plates and cutlery. We will definitely be using them again!

This place is a hidden gem! Honestly, better than Cactus or the Keg.

Food was fantastic and Natasha our server could not have been nicer or more attentive. Strange place to have a high end steakhouse and perhaps some more upmarket signage would be good. We will be back. Wheelchair accessibility: The Disability door was not working and needed to be opened from the inside. Reasonable disabled toilets. Only one side bar not 2 as per usual in the loo.

Every time we have dinner at the lodge food is fantastic, service is second to none and we are so very happy to have such an amazing steakhouse available so close to home!

Great steakhouse hiding in the middle of a residential area. Don t let the arena downstairs fool you. This is a great date night spot! The food and atmosphere were perfect! Service was a relaxed!

This place is a hidden gem. The location is slightly weird for such an amazing restaurant, but as soon as you walk into the actual restaurant you will be pleased with the décor and atmosphere. The service is really good, and the food is amazing. One of the best steaks I have had, with great side options. Overall it is a great place for a nice dinner, And i highly recommend you give this place a try.

With all the wonderful reviews on here, I decided to visit the restaurant and try the beef tenderloin steak. I think I was the unlucky one to get a not good priece of meat. There were a lot of grizzly parts on the steak making it quite difficult to eat. My friend was quite amuse that I, who almost always dont order steak, had to have that experience of having grizzly meat. We mentioned it to our server and she said that the best steak to order was something else, cant remember what she said, but at that point it was too late.. my steak was infront of me half eaten. I was so disappointed. It was my birthday dinner and I got the bad piece of meat. Everything else was yummy. The potatoes were awesome and the Brussel sprouts are so good. But sadly the main feature, the steak was not.

Came here for our anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious, so were the drinks. We will absolutely be back. I had the Brussels sprouts for an appetizer and the gnocchi. I loved EVERY bite. My husband finished his whole meal cant remeber what cut he got, and savoured every bite (hes extremely picky), and my daughter devoured her pasta. To top it all off, the chef sent us complimentary champagne, and the restaurant gave us a complimentary dessert.

Food was fabulous, steak was cooked perfectly. Service was great only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere was because it s a bit noisy otherwise it was a really great experience

Came for a tomahawk, sold out at 630. The veg served with dinner seemed like it had been prepped a few days before, poor quality for the price.

Wish we took photos! But it was a company thing and not professional but I don t do reviews often actually not ever but . This place is getting hype and I don t know why? We spent allot maybe in the thousands the night we went! staff great, food thou very mediocre like steaks are small we got the rib eye my hubby got the New York really the kegs better and bigger for the price. we were really looking forward to a good steak but got a small thin I mean thin peice of meat! Everything else was ok just very pricy the dessert we got cheese cake and it was a the smallest piece of cheesecake I ve ever had. I would say this pace is great but overall pricy for what you get and drinks we had not great I was getting doubles and did not think they were but that s my opinion per person you are looking at a couple hundred dollars with a drinks

We were celebrating a few of our friends birthdays. There was nine of us. Two were turning 40. We tried to order the tomahawk steak to be told they were sold out. Was told we should have called ahead and requested the tomahawk steak. I understand once explained, but should be clearly stated on their website that one needs to request a tomahawk steak when booking a reservation. As the dinner was a surprise, so its hard to preplan what they would want. I feel there was too much seasoning on my steak. Im a firm believer less is more when it comes to cooking a steak. The aging process and cook should give a steak good flavor. Others steaks at our table were undercooked. We got the tableside ceaser salad, it was a fun experience. A little pricy at $17 a person. Other steakhouses offer you to share a $17 portion with 1 other. I would have preferred more garlic and dressing. They have a great mocktail selection. I got the mock ceaser and it was so yummy. It was our first time here and we will try again in a smaller group. Hoping its a better experience.

Discovered a Langley hidden gem tucked away in the curling club, and what a find! The dim-lit and cozy atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. The service was not only friendly but also professionally executed. As for the food, it was a flavor-packed adventure that left us happily full. This spot is definitely a must-try for those looking to enjoy a welcoming ambiance and scrumptious dishes. We had the Dine Out 24 menu, some of these dishes are not on the regular a la carte menu. Parking: If the curling club is busy you might have to walk a but Wheelchair accessibility: Unsure if I saw elevevators. The restaurant is located upstairs

Everything was on point as it was when we visited last year. (Wedding anniversary). Delightful server (Vicky), excellent meals and terrific service. Complimentary sparkling wine and cheesecake for dessert because of the special occasion. Very nice touch. Weve had lobster flambe both times weve been and it is creamy and absolutely delicious. The drinks were awesome as well. My wife said she had a buzz after drinking only half of her margarita. Lol. Bartender doesnt skimp on the booze. We will be back again soon. Probably wont wait another year though

Totally worth it! Best steak Ive ever had, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. A great experience overall with even the bathrooms being nice, well maintained and had paintings made directly on the walls for decor. Cant wait to come back and absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great steakhouse with many unique menu offerings

Tried this restaurant for the first time. There were 4 of us. We all agreed the food was fantastic, the service was superb (our waitress Stephanie was polite, happy and made us laugh. Great personality!) and the atmosphere was great! This place is a hidden gem. We will be visiting again very soon.

Steaks are very good here (I got the tenderloin) as well as their calamari and their Bellini drink. Atmosphere is nice.

Tried it for dine out since it s been recommended before. Food was not great. The butternut squash soup was so thick it was like eating baby food. I asked for my steak rare and it came out grey and overcooked. Our server was great though. And no; we didn t complain about the food or send it back. Just left it uneaten.

We were pleased to find a nice place to eat that was close to home. We both had pasta dishes, and both of us didnt care for our meals. We will go back and try a steak since it is a steakhouse. The desert was excellent!

My husband and I went there last Friday I chose the mussels and fillet mignon The contrast between my last visit when I had the same food. The mussels were drowned in cream and the steak was grissly. My husband enjoyed his meal. The server was Stephanie she wonderful. We shall come back. I think it was a different chef when we came last week. Yvonne Lahola

Bouillabaisse was so bad. It was just marinara sauce with a few pieces of seafood.

My steak was over cooked but still very tender. Mac and cheese was very tasty but cold Dessert was fantastic. Cocktails were very good. Wine list was very limited. I probably wont be back. There are better options at a similar or less expensive price point.

Absolutely love the food, cant speak highly enough about the maple bacon scallops, caesar salad, Brussels! Looking forward to sitting within the restaurant not just the bar area!

We go here often and are never dissapointed. Fresh, delicious food with top notch professional service. This year we had their take and bake Christmas dinners and they were SO good! Way less stress and mess on xmas day and family raved about the quality. I felt the lodge team went above and beyond to make sure christmas dinner was 10/10, Thank you Lodge!

The atmosphere was really good the restaurant is nice. I ordered a steak and I was not impressed. I have had steaks at mid range resturants and high end resturants and I didnt think this one was very good. I wasnt that found of the appetizers also,

Excellent service, ambiance and the food was excellent! They had duck and it was exquisite. The steak was perfectly done and everything else was worth the price. The Caesar salad made by our table was delicious. Definitely will be back!

Was asked to email them, no response. Steak was good. The food poisoning I have from it isn t. Update they contacted me about the visit and asked for me to email them. I shared it was a table of 8 they split up my bill alone was over 200 dollars we all had a great time bother in-laws bday sent beers back to the cooks etc. Neat

Nothing special, I had the Ribeye 10oz steak, asked for medium and in came Medium rare. The French onion soup was bland and the Caesar salad was limp (Not Crisp fresh) we didn t have dessert either. I thought it was overpriced for the two of us. I only had a couple of drinks my wife didn t have any alcoholic beverages or wine and it was $200.00 overpriced in my opinion. The Keg is way better.

Went for post Christmas, pre new year dinner. Had to wait to be seated even though we had a reservation. Food was good but definitely on the pricey side. We had the tamohawk steak and some sides. Hoped to have gotten a nice pic of the steak but it was cut up as soon it was brought.

2 stars for the food but wish I could give 0 for service. Had the worst experience first time dining here, totally ruined a special occasion. The drinks were good. The nuts in our salad was rancid and waitress was defensive and rude when we brought that to her attention. Said its smokey flavour! Like we dont know the difference between spoiled and smoked! Things went downhill from there. Waitress was inattentive, slid the food from the end of the table instead of serving. The pretentiousness and snobbery with her and another staff we encountered was appalling. We didnt want to ruin our special occasion so refrained from confronting the waitress. This person (older Caucasian female) should not he in the service industry. We had drinks at the bar while we waited for our table and the bartender was pleasant. Ambience was nice but will definitely not be returning.

Delicious & great service! My wife and I had the steak and sablefish while the boys had cheeseburger and chicken strips. Great atmosphere, waitress was super efficient and friendly. Five star dining in Brookswood and a beautiful atmosphere.

This place has great atmosphere. The service is great. The caesar I had was great. The Stella was great. The the 14 oz pork chop was the smallest pork chop have ever seen that is on a plate, which was hugely disappointing. Maybe I will have more food next time I go there.

In a building with a small washroom thats in the same building as a ice skating rink, steaks were all over done and when I sent it back it was raw not season well and too much char flavor only decent part were the waiters apologizing for it being cooked awfully Kid-friendliness: Right next to a bar

Had their ribeye steak, escargots, and salt spring island mussels. Wanted to try Smugglers Trail Lager but was out of stock. I enjoyed their mussels the most! The ribeye steak was soft and delicious but a bit fatty. Escargots were ok. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt valued for the business. I will go back to try other dishes.

Been here several times now. Tried the 2 sisters Cajun chicken (substituted for chicken breast instead) and it was outstanding. Favorite item on the menu to date. Our server, Stef, was also wonderful. Super friendly and professional.

One of our family members said this was the best seafood platter they ever had and they always order that platter wherever they go. I had the French Onion Soup and that was also perfectly flavored. Everytime I go I thoroughly enjoy my meal. Would recommend highly.

Food was ok , I felt sick 30 mins after eating there. Service and atmosphere was best part . Prices are not for regular visits.

Decent food/drinks, poor service. Showed up for our reservation and waited nearly 20 minutes to be seated (the restaurant was only half full at the time). Between the time we were seated and when we ordered our drinks, another 20 minutes had passed, and our server was rarely in sight. The bussing and hosting staff who interacted with us to drop off food/drinks/fill up water etc. were friendly, attentive, and polite, but our server (when she was ever there) was very cold, and gave off the strong vibe that she wanted us gone as quickly as possible. We saw her a total of 3 times: to place drinks orders (once), place food orders (once), and pay the bill. We were there for a birthday, and intended to order drinks and food over the course of our time there, but it was never possible because our server was never around. It also made me seriously hope that the tips get split amongst the rest of the service staff, because they genuinely did 90% of the work, and it felt gross at the end of it all to tip our server for providing the worst service. Credit where credit is due though, when we were able to place our food order, it arrived fairly quickly and the food was decent. Anyways, without rambling on too much, it was all around a disappointing experience largely due to our server which left us all with a bad impression of the place. Who knows though, maybe it was a one-off, maybe she was having an off day, maybe she has bigger things going on. God bless her, I hope shes well. Regardless, give the place a try if youre in the area but only at your own discretion, and dont expect much.

Tonight was my 2nd time at the Lodge. The first time was back in January 2023, and the first time, the food was quite good, although the service was a bit slow. We were a fairly large group that night, so I chalked the slower experience up to that and decided to give it a second go tonight, this time just my husband and I for our anniversary. To sum it up, service was incredibly slow and what was served just wasnt up to par - especially for what you pay. We ordered our drinks, appies, and entrees all at the same time when our server initially came over (after a pretty long wait, to be honest). It took around 1.5-2 hours to finally get/eat our entrees and a few notes on the food/drinks: - for both rounds of drinks we ordered, we saw them sitting on the bar forever before they were brought over to the table - my husband ordered his appy (fries) with ketchup. They came out already lukewarm and with no ketchup. No one checked on him and he had to flag someone down and ask again after 10-15 minutes, waiting another 10 for it to actually arrive. He finally just ate his fries cold. - my steak came out very dry, it felt like it had been under a heat lamp for a long time with the juice dried to the plate - my husbands steak was undercooked. He was so done with it all that he refused to say anything as he didnt want to wait for another. We were just done to be honest and wanted to get out of there. - weirdly, they also told him they were out of green beans but then somehow I got green beans and he didnt? Our server explained that the kitchen was backed up due to the hockey game, which I understand, however, if you cant reasonably serve the game/pub/restaurant all at once, then dont. It was incredibly frustrating and put a damper on our anniversary for sure.

Boyfriend and I went here for his birthday and the food was incredible. We had the steak tartare to share, he had the prime rib dinner, and I had the short rib. Service was amazing, food came out quick. Well be coming back for sure

Many seats available but the service is a bit rushed. The servers are nice and friendly. Food is a little salty, but we are ok with that. Tenderloin is a bit overcooked but seasoned well.

We went to The Lodge tonight for our anniversary dinner and everything was amazing. The service (thank you Stephanie) was exceptional, the steak was delicious and perfectly cooked and the the rotating table side dessert is a must have. They made our night so special.

We went to the middle because we had a BOGO coupon, we werent pleasantly surprised the food was excellent tasted like any high end Steakhouse, and the environment/ambience was really nice, the wait staff werent overly attentive and it took a while to get things ordered or refilled, but overall it was a great experience!

All in all a very good dinner. The appetizers at the Lodge are excellent! The Tuna Stack was fantastic. The onion soup is unique and very tasty, although it would have been nice to have a slice of garlic bread to soak up the leftovers . There is an excellent selection of beers and wines as well. Unfortunately, we found the steaks a bit disappointing, considering the premium price. There was nothing wrong with them but they did not live up to what we expected, and were no more special than what you would get at any decent restaurant. I think the whole experience would have been even better if they had provided a small loaf of warm bread or rolls as well to nibble on between courses. The service was, shall we say relaxed. There was a little more time between courses than was appreciated. Our friendly server was very attentive and took care of our needs. We will definitely be back and look forward to sampling different things on the menu, but well stay away from the steaks. I think this is a hidden gem in Langley.

My mom brought me here for my birthday this year and WOW. The lodge steakhouse is absolutely amazing to say the least. Our server was extremely charming and prompt with service. I had never tried steak tartar and I had always wanted to, I m so glad I tried it here at Lodge. It was pure bliss. Melted in the mouth with no smell at all. Meat is so fresh here I could swear I could taste the grass the cow was eating!!! (Just kidding) Honestly though, everything here is fantastic quality and reasonably priced for what you get. It s a bit odd because it s in the middle of a rec Center so if I was driving past it I wouldn t necessarily think to go in for dinner but don t let that stop you. The lodge exceeded my expectations and made my birthday dinner one I won t forget for years to come.

We were pleasantly blown away with the food and atmosphere here, this is definitely a new favourite spot! 10/10 recommend.

Decent service, accommodating for our large group, nice atmosphere. Good beer selection, 20oz glasses. Our appetizers and side dishes were tasty. My kids were very happy with their creamy noodles, and my wife enjoyed her sable fish dish. The big draw back: the steaks are expensive and poor quality. I sent back my first steak (ribeye) because, despite the pleasant flavouring on the outside, it was tough, chewy, and about 1/5 of centre of it was entirely fat (not just the edge, which is typical of ribeye). Im not a picky eater, I cant remember ever sending back food, and I dont get steak that often, but when youre paying the Keg prices for a steak... Im expecting to at least be able to chew it! The waitress gave some pushback, telling me I shouldnt have ordered rare, but eventually offered to switch it, and then upgraded me to a New York (also cooked rare). It was only marginally better, fine at best, but I just ate it. Finished up with a very yummy lava cake, recommended. When we were leaving, I found out from our guest of honour, who was sitting at the far end of our table, that he had sent back an inedible steak too! Yikes, embarrassing. So, if I go back, Ill be getting anything but steaks at this steakhouse! Parking: Entrance and exit are awkward.

Never had a bad meal here. The food is always amazing. Martini making could be fine-tuned, but we do love this place.

One of my favorite steakhouse, hidden gem in Langley. Love the 48oz massive Tomahawk (still great value) and mushrrom risotto side. Smoked old fashioned boosted the mood. Have good wine selection, too. The only downside is the washroom. Outside of the restaurant, shared with other pub and not matched the feeling of the restaurant.

I recently dined at the Lodge Steakhouse and had a mixed experience. Overall, the food was decent, but there were a few issues that affected my dining experience. Lets start with the steaks. I ordered three tenderloins cooked medium rare. Two of them were prepared perfectly, cooked to a beautiful medium-rare temperature. However, one of the tenderloins stood out as noticeably different from the rest. It was quite rare and chewy, which was disappointing. I asked the staff to cook it longer, hoping for an improvement. Unfortunately, when it came back, it was still the same, not even any warmer than before. This was a letdown. Moving on to the other dishes, the lobster flambé caught my attention, but it didnt live up to my expectations in terms of flavor. While it was interesting, it didnt leave a lasting impression. On the other hand, the calamari had a delightful sauce that complemented the dish well. However, I was disappointed to find that the calamari itself wasnt as crispy as I would have liked. Despite these shortcomings, there were some highlights. The mac and cheese, Caesar salad, and various sides were quite good. They were flavorful and well-prepared, providing a satisfying accompaniment to the main courses. . On the service front, the servers were friendly and somewhat helpful. However, one area where they fell short was in refilling drinks. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, I found that my drink wasnt refilled at all. This minor inconvenience could have been improved with more attentive service. In conclusion, my experience at the Lodge Steakhouse had its ups and downs. The steaks were inconsistent, with one being undercooked and chewy despite attempts to rectify it. The lobster flambé lacked an exceptional flavor, while the calamari sauce was enjoyable, but the texture fell short. On the positive side, the mac and cheese, Caesar salad, and sides were tasty, and the servers were friendly. However, the drink refills could have been more prompt. With some improvements in consistency and attention to detail, the Lodge Steakhouse could elevate the overall dining experience.

Unfortunately it was not a great food experience. Ordered the tomahawk (mid rare), the highly fatty cut was not prepared properly. Fat was uncooked, parts were very rare with white raw fat, the charr was very bitter and tasted like burnt oil. This is not acceptable for a $185 item. The wife was craving steak this night, and I suggested Lodge over other options, and it was a bit disappointing today. We packed about half of it home and was very expensive dog food. Not sure if ill be back again. 2 stars because the tuna stack appetizer was good.

This was a real lovely find in Langley. We tried the sirloin, prime rib, beef tartar (incredibly fresh), and French onion soup. All impeccably done. Loved the atmosphere and the beauty of the space. Conducive for special events like birthdays and anniversaries. For the price we paid, Id happily return here for any future birthday celebrations than go westward into Vancouver for the same thing for double the price. (not counting parking fees!)

Really good food, took my mom here for her birthday. The place is a lot more low key than I expected which is not bad or good just thought should be mentioned if youve never been here to know its very calm and out of the way(private vibes). The food was superb loved everything we ate and the staff was friendly. my mom was very happy .

Went to the Lodge last night to celebrate our anniversary with family. We were promptly seated but it took a long time to be asked if we even wanted drinks. After placing our order we waited over 1hr15mins to get our food. I had the bacon cheddar burger it was very dry however I will say the food was at least hot. The service from our waitress was extremely slow and several other tables came in after us and left before us. It was very disappointing

Spent our 24th wedding anniversary at the Lodge and we were spoiled by the staff!

When I have an absolute amazing experience somewhere I take the time and write a review on it, and that is exactly what happened last night at the lodge. I had my fiancés 30th birthday there and it blew my expectations out of the water. They were more than accommodating on the party size they put us all together in the back so we could mingle and enjoy each other. There was over 30 of us and the server DID NOT MISS A BEAT. She was absolutely perfect, fast, beyond accommodating and such a pleasure to have looking after us. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The beef tenderloin was the bomb. loved the vibe. Was fancy but also cozy and comfortable. The service was amazing. A little bit pricey but worth it.

Went here with a group. When we first arrived we asked for our reservation and they seemed confused but shortly after they found it and seated us. The table they had set aside for us was not really going to be comfortable for 5 people and so we asked if they could accommodate adding another table section to ours and they did no problem. Luckily, because we ended up with 6 instead of our original reservation of 5 and needed the space. Our waitress went above an beyond repeatedly for us. She was friendly and very attentive. We loved that when she didnt have the full answer to our menu questions she was willing to discuss it with the chef and get the right answers. Lo Ed her so much for that. Then she did the same with the dessert questions. So helpful. Loved our entire experience here. Food was cooked to perfection. 5 of us shared the porterhouse steak and ribeye steak and then a bunch of sides, like gnocchi, truffle Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and for appies we had delicious steak tartar and calamari and roast Ed Brussel sprpiuts and everyone loved everything. One of our guests had the brown butter and Sable fish which she said was cooked well, but the brown butter sauce and fish was very bland. Tasted good but boring/bland. The Roasted potatoes and veggies were great. We had Tiramisu, Creme Brule, pumpkin cheese cake and after dinner coffees and they were all amazing. For those that are Italian the Tiramisu is not cooked so you will like this. Portion is great for sharing, if you want to . I will definitely come back for another great time! Parking: The restaurant has a pub style side for more casual dining. The whole building is attached to an arena so loads of parking available.

Was very disappointed in the service we received. I made reservations for the dining area and was a little early and was told they didn t have a table for us and if one becomes available we would be moved . The hostess was borderline rude when I asked how long it would be and what did she mean by if , since I had made reservations I should get a table in the dining. She was argumentative and told me she technically sat us in the dining area but we were seated in front of the bar . In the 20 mins that we sat there I saw people leave and to make matters worse a couple who came after us were seated before us . My date was of Asian descent and happened to be the only ethnic person in the restaurant, for the first time I felt discrimination or at least it sure didn t look good on how we treated from the beginning of dinning experience. I do not recommend The Lodge steakhouse. For the price you pay I would expect better service and more professional way of communication

This restaurant did not disappoint in any way. It was our twenty fifth wedding anniversary. Our server, Stephanie was very good. In opinion she made the evening for us. I had Salt Spring Island mussels and filet mignon cooked to perfection. My husband had a steak also. We had a glass of champagne each which was complimentary. What a fabulous evening. I highly recommend it. One of Langleys hidden gems. Try it for yourselves. Yvonne

The area needs this for sure , something other than pizza and sushi ! But it is still brookswood, so the food was alright. Calamari wasnt great, and Id suggest making the chicken and gnocchi with a BONELESS blackened chicken instead. I was taken back by the chicken bone I bit into . But for the area its in, I know this place will stay busy.

We ve been twice and everything has been exceptional both times. Service was top notch and steaks tasted great. It isn t cheap, but nothing of any quality is. Pay the extra couple $ and have a great meal with very attentive service.

This restaurant is burdened by its location but has great food. In fact the short rib was excellent and the brown butter sablefish was just fine as a smaller portion. The crispy starter cauliflower was supurb and way overpriced. Our friends ceasar salad was just okay, and ribeye was not cooked as ordered. Impossible to know if well ever return because of this restaurants lack of ambiance, presitige (cachet) or surprising first impressions. Parking: Parking is free.

Come here. This is a really great restaurant but youd better ask for light or NO salt on your steak otherwise youre going to get steak with your salt, not salt on your steak. Get the Escargot because its perfect. Get the oysters because they are perfect. You want Calamari? Its perfect. Looking for BIG THICC PRAWNS? Get the prawn cocktail because its perfect. Burger? Delicious. The menu is super solid! The Tuna Poke Bowl is out of this world but for the love of the medium rare Gods... Request your beef to be LIGHTLY besprinkled with salt. Were not at The Keg here.

Decent experience. We were seated right away and drinks came pretty fast.(cheap beer btw) Calamari also came fast and it was delicious but a small portion. Went to use the washroom, practically a hike to get there. Was disappointed to see that it s shared with a pub and is very small. The beef tenderloin was amazing and same with the mash potatoes, wish i could say the same about the $8 added for undercooked prawns. We were able to get the prawns taken off the bill which was nice. Our server did an excellent job, our drinks were never empty and she was very nice. Probably wont be back though due to location of the restaurant.

This is an interesting restaurant located in a building with an ice rink and curling sheets. It is upstairs with a co-located pub. Let me say right from the beginning: this is a restaurant in the same spirit as The Keg. It falls short though. We were immediately seated after arriving. Menus were provided and we began to discuss our selections. The waitress was relaxed and did not hurry us; but she also did not offer advice or recommendations, even after being prompted twice: once in the wine selection and once in the steak selection. While service was without serious problems, it also lacked a certain level of professional timing and awareness. Our food was good; but not without concerns. The seafood Bouillabaisse was salty and the tomato sauce had an astringent quality that did not compliment the seafood. The steak was cooked to the correct doneness; but as others have mentioned, it was over salted. The side of vegetables showed signs of too much time under a heat source, being both slightly dry and curled at thin edges. The mashed potatoes were either over processed or made from potato flakes, more likely the latter. All this being said, the meals would be perfectly acceptable at a lower end, cheaper restaurant. They did not reflect the dining experience this restaurant is striving to provide. The restaurant is well decorated and has a nice nod to Canadian heroes, which I applaud. It is fresh and clean, with a nice open balcony. Its a very relaxing and pleasing environment in which to dine. Should you choose to dine here, and I recommend you do, I would recommend requesting lite seasoning on any steak. Likewise, for the Bouillabaisse, which could benefit from a white wine based broth in place of tomato. There is lots of potential and they make an effort, it just needs attention to detail and precision in presentation.

I will start with some good here: The Steak Topper I ate was generous in the seafood toppers themselves, and very flavourful, if not a bit on the salty side. I m OK with that saltiness as I expect some of that when I dine out. I felt the thinly sliced slightly undercooked carrots were a cheap veggie for such an expensive offering ($50). The steak itself was cooked exactly to my desire - Medium Rare. It was also a bit on the tough / chewy side. My real issues with this experience started when we arrived, about 10 minutes early for our reservation. When offered an outside table, we declined and said we could wait until our reservation time. In an attempt to help us, they found us an indoor table in just a few minutes. It was right on the main aisle, in a noisy place in a noisy restaurant. Speaking of that, the designer of the restaurant did not do a good job of noise attenuation. It s flat out noisy in this place, at least at 7PM on a Friday night. Not just conversation noise, but echoey hard surfaces noise. The server was basically inattentive. We were at a table right between the restaurant and bar, so she was going past regularly to tables in the main section. Never once made eye contact as she passed, I had to flag her down for something as simple as a napkin and cutlery, AFTER she served my Caesar. Which had shrimp and toothpicks and beans. Things which you have to touch and then need a napkin for!! By the way, the Caesar had great potential, but also disappointed. Mostly ice, it quickly became a watery drink, which took away from it s rather average flavour. It looked great, size looked generous. The Shrimp in it was amazing, though. No complaints there. We also didn t care much for the setting, upstairs in the athletic facility seems out of place for a fine higher priced steak house. Having said that, after dining, we spent some time watching a women s hockey game that was spirited and energetic, a highlight of the night. My wife ordered what turned out to be one of the smallest martini s we ve seen before, although the smoke bubble on top was a nice, if contrived touch. We had to ask for wine and beverage lists when she first came up and asked us if we wanted to order a beverage. The server WAS quick on bringing the cheque after we declined dessert, though. Brown butter sable fish was more sweet than nutty as you may expect with this dish. We were venturing out from our usual WAG and Vault or The Cabin experiences. In retrospect, any of those three would have been a better choice. Especially at the price point of The Lodge. My dining partner heard that I was writing this review and said: 2 . That table location really sucked, I think leading her to the lower number. WE MADE A RESERVATION for a family birthday, and got offered to sit outside, and eventually sat in the highway between Bar / Kitchen / Entrance and the real tables .

Excellent Steak and dessert. When compared to a restaurant like downtown Vancouver its awesome you can find someone comparable to Gotham Steak House when it comes to the food. Didnt expect the lodge was attached to a rink but dont let location fool you. Vancouver style prices but worth it. Medium rare steaks that will melt in your mouth.

My husband ordered a black and blue ribeye and it was excellent. All of the food was great and the staff was wonderful, helpful and so nice. Good place to go for a celebratory steak dinner. Price was what one expects at a GOOD steakhouse. We will be going back.

Ordered from this restaurant for the first time this evening through a delivery app. I was so pleasantly surprised! The food was hot and absolutely delicious! Now I want to go and dine in. A+++

Overall not worth the price. The menu commands a fine dining atmosphere, yet has a 3 star course. Plating was substantially less than one would expect; with the mains wanting more. We had the French Onion Soup to start, which was mediocre at best. Watery with a touch of cheese and toast. Then the real horror show happened... pictures posted. Please dont spend your hard earned money here; expecting a fine dining experience....

My husband and I went for our first time last night and everything was amazing. The service, atmosphere, food and drinks. Highly recommend. The owner went out of his way to ask us how our food was and thanked us for coming. A few other restaurants should take a page out of his book. We need this in Cloverdale. Great job!

I have never left a review for a restaurant before, but feel the need to on this occasion. I took my daughter here for dinner as I have had good experiences here in the past. However, this visit was a complete opposite. We were seated in what appeared to be overflow, which I could have lived with, mostly because our server was really good. We both ordered prime rib and when it finally arrived, we were advised we were receiving the last 2 portions. We had both ordered medium rare and received beef that not only was well done, but also cold. We were not given an option to select another entree, nor an apology. The vegetables were also cold and somewhat undercooked. If I am going to spend $200.00m + on a dinner out, I expect better than this.

You know you are in a good place when they have double smoked whiskey and a great selection of bourbon!

Great cocktails and yummy food!

Went here for my partner s birthday and the overall atmosphere and service was great. My New York strip came out exactly as I wanted but my partners steak was pretty under done (she asked for medium and received rare). The server noticed and apologized and asked if she wanted a different one but we declined as it didn t bother us. I was happy with her care. She also brought out a free lava cake for her birthday which was nice. The cocktails we tried were great and I would go here again. I did have a coupon which was nice but I don t know how often I could afford this place without one.

In the past, have had decent experiences here. Went to celebrate my birthday with my partner and some friends. My partner and I ordered the porterhouse to share, which is not a cheap plate ($100). As we were moving it around, we unearthed 3-4 short black hairs, one or two with a hair bulb on the end. Did someone pull these out intentionally? Hair bulbs dont just fall out... Waitress took our plate and had a new one made (10-15 mins). Another server came over and said so youre getting a new plate? And my partner answered yes and she said yea...yea. It was SO awkward. And then she said in the most unapologetic way possible sorry that happened and walked off. Other than receiving a new plate (after our friends finished their meals), nothing was offered to make the experience better. Food - 6/10 Hygiene - 1/10 Service - 3/10 Wont give this restaurant any more of my money for lackluster food and someone elses DNA.

Its a nice place to have dinner just dont order the 2 sister Cajun chicken if youre hungry. Our server Chels was great. A bit odd that after paying the bill we were told by the hostess that another party needed our seats in 15 minutes. The washroom is shared with the pub, not a big deal normally but this washroom looks a lot like a locker room washroom. Not clean, tabs are the kind you have to prress down on to get 10 seconds of water and the soap dispenser was out of soap. We had a good time and the service was great, not sure if Ill be back considering the value for $$$ was just not there.

Service was really great and the place is really nice. I ordered the Sable fish and lets just say I wouldnt order it again. It was fine, but not great. My husband had the burger, which was delicious. The wedge salad was really good too.

Delicious, great service. Specials somehow seem to always be duck which is just excellent for me. Duck confit (last time) and duck risotto (this time) were just outstanding. Weve had the same server twice now and she was just super lovely. Plenty of knowledge of the menu and a beautiful demeanor! They gave us complimentary champagne for our anniversary which was sweet of them :) the cocktails are yummy and reasonably priced. Thank you!

Should be a Michelin starred place. Food, service, and ambiance inside the restaurant is fantastic. Such an odd location for such a high end place. Never had to ask for more water or drink refills. Been here twice. Had the most melt in your mouth steak and then brown butter fish. Would go again! Take the concept to a stand alone location!

For its cost.. It was ok. Service was okay. Went for husbands birthday dinner. Steak was perfectly cooked, but thin and flavor was nothing to rave about. Mashed. Potoates yumm..mac and cheese absolutely no flavor, house wine great. We were asked to leave due to people waiting after 1.5 hours even though other tables were there far before us. I would say for what we got it was over priced, and asked to leave for the amount I paid was uncalled for.
