Everything is good in this restaurant. The quality of the dishes is unique. A visit is essential!

Amato menu prices are approximately 18% more expensive than La Vieille Banque restaurant (located around the corner) for the same fine cuisine and service. Compare them for yourself on their respective websites... or at other similar fine Italian cuisine restaurants in the area. Amato is undeniably a destination of choice if you want to pay the exorbitant price (with their choice of overpriced wines) in a beautiful setting... but there are still limits for me!

Beautiful, cozy restaurant with simply exquisite food. The food is all affordable for the quality that we have the chance to taste. It was a wonderful discovery for us, and we will definitely return.

I went there for a business dinner. We ate very well and were treated like royalty. What service and what good food. Highly recommended! Parking: There is parking behind the restaurant!

Amazing!!!

This is my third visit to this restaurant in Sainte-Rose. I love the terrace which with its levels and decorations is intimate. This time I went with my father. We shared the Amato salad, a real delight, small leaves decorated with strawberries with an almond and honey crumble, balsamic vinaigrette and balsamic cream finish. For the main courses, we selected the fusilli with smoked salmon and the lemon veal escalope with crunchy vegetables and mashed potatoes without forgetting a glass of Pinot Grigio. For desserts we let ourselves be tempted by the homemade tiramisù and the chocolate tartufo, all accompanied by a cappuccino. There was also a small slate with three suggestions for the evening including gravlax, beef cheek, and Sicilian cod. I was able to practice my Italian with our server who was very attentive. Another plus, the large adjacent parking lot. Parking: Large parking lot adjacent to the restaurant.

This place is amazing, food is always great, awesome ambience.

Poor food quality and plate size

AMAZING RESTAURANT!!!!!!! The restaurant is super beautiful, the service is impeccable but the food is incredible!!! If you dont know what to try: I recommend the Pacherri with cream and truffle butter and the Key lime pie!!!

For my part I find it very ordinary as food, however good choice of wine.

I was disappointed with the food and even though the service was impeccable, the was a group of people dining who were extremely noisy.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Quebec

Unfortunately we were disappointed overall. No water service, a lot of waiting between the starter and the meal, the scallop starter contained 3 for $25 and the markup on the wine is excessive at 3x the SAQ price. My meal of veal with port and foie gras had a gelatinous texture and the pepper taste was predominant. However, this restaurant has the staff (really pleasant!), the location and the atmosphere (superb!) to succeed, it would just be a matter of adjusting the menu.

Family restaurant with a warm atmosphere and personalized service. The food is delicious with traditional Italian menu accommodating to customers. Personally, the most beautiful terrace in Laval!

I had dinner at Amato Ste-Rose during the week. I was very pleased with the entire restaurant. The service was fast and the waitresss explanations were clear and precise. The food was good and satisfying. The terrace is a very nice place to eat. Overall, I was satisfied, but nothing more. I was not impressed with the food (except the tuna tataki which was excellent). Not saying it was bad, but not exceptional. Maybe the price was a bit high overall.

Very ordinary Caesar salad, shrimp entree (3) for $24 ordinary, the spaghetti dish with smoked salmon and the salmon plate was good. All much too expensive. A beautiful place.

We were on the 2nd floor at the back. Warm atmosphere. Although the restaurant was full, we were able to chat without problem. Our pace was respected. Caesar salad and pasta: excellent and good portions. In prices for this type of restaurant. Only downside: a little crowded, I wondered how a quick evacuation would go. Parking: Parking at the back quickly filled. Kid-friendliness: Not designed for children.

It took a long time to receive our dishes. Arrival at 8 p.m. and received our countries at 9:20 p.m. It was very good though.

Delicious food, the lobster was tasty and the pasta was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant for its culinary experience and exceptional service! Small mention to the waiter who is quite cute Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free option for allergies and intolerances.

Amazing food and great service

What a pleasant evening, I cant wait to repeat the experience! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is perfect (the oil lamps at the tables, what an extraordinary idea!) The place really has an incomparable charm and character. The staff is very kind and attentive, I really recommend this restaurant! We ate inside in the beautiful room, but they also have a great patio that I cant wait to try. Thank you for this lovely welcome!

Table for 7 people We received 6 of the 7 entries quickly, but the 7th with a good delay. Then we waited a very long time for the main dishes (around 45 minutes) only to be told that one of the dishes was not ready. After 10 minutes he arrives but the scallops are cold...(Ive been waiting for almost an hour) So back from the scallops to the kitchen, I had to eat alone since I had told the others to eat before their dishes cooled. For dessert, the birthday boys arrived almost 10 minutes after the others. The server offered no compensation for the inconvenience. Very disappointing. Restaurant to cross off the list.

Beautiful romantic atmosphere

A restaurant of that caliber should at least offer to take a womans coat and have it dragging on the back if the chair..and hey..what about some olives or brusccetta before ordering the primo..2 people..4 cocktails ..an expensive btl of wine and had to wait for bread with the starter...sorry..love this place but an amuse-gueule would have made it perfect.

Le meilleur des restaurants italiens :) une vrai bouf digne de la Toscane , vous allez vous sentir comme à la maison le serveur Dominico est tellement sympathique, si vous ne trouvez pas quelque chose sur le menu demandez-lui si c est possible que le chef vous prépare votre propre plat . Food was excellent but our waiter was horrible and left a sour impression on our night. Was nowhere to be seen all night. 9 month pregnant wife and not once did he come and check up on us. We had to ask the host for a glass of water and other beverages. Didn t even come bring us our bill or say bye. Really terrible experience. Spoke with host at the end of the night , hopefully he understood, if not, maybe my tip will have

An excellent place to celebrate special occasions. I had the lamb with prosciutto and figs having the idea of wanting to taste combinations out of the ordinary. Wow! It really didnt surprise me. Easily a recommended choice. The servers had a regular cadence for each part of the meal. Weve never waited a long time for anything! The food took as long as expected. We werent ordering hotdogs so only 5 minutes left lol Overall I would say that the place is the price and more, my wife chose well :)

Food wise it was very good but there wasnt much choice. Very expensive wine. Service-wise, it was very ordinary. $450 bill for two. I ate elsewhere for a lot less and left more satisfied.

Authentic Italian restaurant! I suspect the chef is Italian . The welcome was smiling and attentive. In fact, we found a table adapted to our needs. The service is courteous. Great atmosphere. The terrace is beautiful and full of flowers. However, it is not one of the most beautiful terraces in Quebec as the owners write on their website. But, that s the personality of the Italians! They like to exaggerate and brag . The food lived up to my expectations. To find out if I was in an authentic Italian restaurant, I tried the spaghetti aglio olio. Very successful and I will definitely return. The price was a little high, but acceptable: starter of scallops and green salad, main courses veal prociuoto (with spaghetti aglio olio) - figs, veal - asparagus, sea bass fillet, 3 appetizers, 2 glasses of wine and 2 desserts : mango sorbet and cheese mousse cake. All for $230 taxes included. I recommend this restaurant.

Incredibly good restaurant! Typical Italian food of very good quality and very good taste. Amazing service with friendly and welcoming employees/owners. Beautiful warm atmosphere. I highly recommend it :)

The terrace is sublime, friendly waiters. In terms of the menu, for my part, its not a favorite. I had the penne romanoff, it was good but for my part, very simplistic. As a starter, a soup of the day, be zucchini at this time and I really enjoyed it. For the portions, its very generous, unfortunately I wasnt able to try the desserts! Very comprehensive wine list, nice selection.

One Wednesday evening, I wanted a pasta with tomato and garlic sauce and unfortunately, the tomato and basil sauce had no taste. The tomato was fresh but without garlic, in no way spicy. I put the dish back before eating it and asked to replace everything with a dish of pasta, garlic and oil. WORSE, THE PIECES OF GARLIC WERE CALCINATED on the plate... DISASTER!!! And, it was the owner who served me. I am very disappointed with this restaurant. We are far from the quality of SPAGUETTATA which had a storefront in Outremont on Laurier Ouest in the 90s and early 2000s. Dont go to Amato. Waste of money and taste!

Excellent restaurant. The outdoor space is beautiful and makes you feel completely disconnected from the city. The food is very tasty and fairly priced. The service is impeccable, and our waiter Massimo was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended!

Restaurant in a century-old house, with a beautiful, intimate rear terrace. For the meal it was good but quite expensive for what was on the plate.

Restaurant with a very nice selection of prestigious Italian wines but very expensive, I ordered one of these $$$$$ bottles, however, the young waiter who showed me the bottle, asked me if it was well this bottle while letting me know that it was expensive....uncomfortable...Offering bottles of this category and from fairly old vintages, obviously goes in a decanter. No carafe, he serves and its over. ! I think the kid was the owners son. If you offer expensive bottles to your customers, you must serve them professionally and worthy of your wine cellar. Decent food.

December 2021 We had a small room upstairs for a Christmas dinner For an aperitif, a spritz and a negroni ($13 each) The wine bottles are very impressive, I read that they won awards for their cellarZ Our choice is Retro, an organic bottle from the Abruzzo region in Italy (excellent choice - $60) I had the pasta dish with vodka rosé sauce which was very good. My husband chose the holiday menu with salmon and beetroot gravlax Sea bass (correct dish) And dessert Good service

Nice terrace, service a little long probably because of all the public health restrictions. Restriction respected by all employees. For the meal, the starters were very good, for the main course we had the veal escalope with foie gras and port sauce and black pepper, unfortunately the dish was very oily which left a greasy taste in the mouth. My husband and I came on a Tuesday evening, with me craving pasta. The maître d suggested the joue de veau and it was, as my husband put it f...ing good. We polished our plates with an excellent bottle of wine and will definitely be back!!!

We found our favorite little Italian restaurant! We go there every 2-3 weeks, we are never disappointed! The veal escalopette with foie gras is just sublime! The scallop starter too, they literally melt in your mouth. The pasta is fresh, the plates of pasta are more flat to look at but delicious. And we like the servers, all super nice :)

We havent visited this restaurant but are excited to go. We have ordered takeaway and Uber Eats several times and the food is excellent The dishes are hot and tasty Dont give up!
