We went to the Vieux Four for our work Christmas party. Our waiter got angry over nothing and insisted that certain people eat or taste certain dishes. The food wasnt great and they ran out of salmon and pasta for one person. Fortunately, the DJ created a good atmosphere!

Unfortunately, when ordering a seafood dish, there was an unopened mussel and a piece of shell on the plate. We didnt receive an apology... Normal.

La soupe à lonion est incroyable, les pâtes que jai manger était quand même bonne mais pas extraordinaire. Lambiance est bien ! Le samedi soir le restaurant se tourne en piste de danse plus tard dans la soirée, donc pour ceux qui ne sont pas intéressés par ça, les conversations deviennent difficiles étant donné le volume de la musique.

The dishes are excellent, however, we had more than ordinary service... It took 1 hour to receive a first course, the pizza in the oven. My plate arrived when my partner had finished her pizza, +/- 30 minutes later, so it took 1h30 before I got my plate of paws. The waitress seemed very friendly but was not very present. No plate to separate our Caesar salad as requested, no offer of desert, never came to see if everything was okay during the meal, long delays in receiving the invoices even though the table had been cleaned. Waitress with great attitude when we mentioned our dissatisfaction to her. We will not return there for these reasons.

We had a reservation at 5:30 p.m. My dish, a pizza, was served to me at 6:55 p.m. My wife had already finished her plate. We arrived just in time for our show. Drosophila flies accompanied us for supper. I am very disappointed. This restaurant has already been one of our favorites

After witnessing a waitress in the name of Marilou getting drunk at the bar with her customers and then causing a mess at the neighboring table through her lack of civility and professionalism. Throw the plates, spray the table with odorous cleaning products with the food present, leave the table to themselves to help themselves and eat without plates or cutlery... The icing on the situation that stunned us to the point where we also decided to leave the restaurant? The waitress Marilou took the hands of the customer who was trying to pay her bill and simply left because she insisted on choosing her own tip!?! Is it even the same as doing that? Hoping that the administration takes the necessary sanctions with this employee who clearly has consumption problems in the workplace!

My wife and I ate very well. The service is excellent. The price may be a little expensive for some but the quality is there. You have to book, the restaurant is full and if you have difficulty walking, plan to have a lift because the parking lot is small.

Good food, delicious wood-fired pizza, beautiful atmosphere, price for a small glass of basic red or white wine much too high ($14 and up) they should return to offering house wine in much more affordable formats and prices !

Impeccable service. All the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere, with its wood-fired oven, is warm. We have tasted several different dishes and have always been satisfied! Although there are usually no more parking spaces at the restaurant itself, there are free spaces nearby, which makes parking easy (more so than in Montreal!). We go there as a family several times a year and each visit is a success

Its too expensive ; the portions (meat, squid) are small for our taste. It doesnt justify the price. We leave the restaurant and we are still hungry.

On July 7, 2024 we went to eat at this restaurant. We were two couples, for my wife and I it was the first time. Lara the waitress was exemplary professional. She explained everything and helped my wife who has a lot of allergies to choose. she was smiling and pleasant. The meal, the service and the atmosphere were great. It is certain that we will return.

A must! We have been going there for years, always the same owners, who are happy to welcome you. Small, warm and friendly, the food is good. My preference, the Cambare oven pizza. Shrimp and garlic, delicious! For lunch or dinner, always pleasant and good service.

Decent food but portions far too small. The sausage starter fit 2 by 2 inches on a large slate for $17!! The tagliatelle in a small hollow on a plate with gigantic edges: hungry portion. Otherwise the service was courteous and the atmosphere very good and warm.

We were passing through Laval and decided to stop there for Valentines Day Saturday. The lady at reception was very nice and accommodated us because we had a little problem with our reservation. The meal was delicious and the caramelized brie is by far the best I have eaten in my life The atmosphere was perfect and intimate for Valentines Day. We will definitely return when we are in the area. I recommend 100%

Great restaurant .even with a group of 54 people the service, food and atmosphere were there! Thank you to the entire VF Laval team for allowing us to attend such a wonderful event: 50 years is worth celebrating and to the VF of course! If you want to eat Italian, this restaurant is for you. The service is impeccable, the waitress is very smiling and frequently asks us if we need anything. I suggest you have the Fettuccine Alfredo as well as the Pizza Napolitana as your meal. For dessert, you have several options, I recommend their delicious crème brulée. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but dont worry, there is municipal parking in front of the restaurant if the parking lot is full.

I went there on a Saturday evening. Attentive and very friendly service. Several group celebrations, it was lively. The food is very good, its a unique restaurant so there is nothing formatted or generic like in the chains. The portions are generous, its truly Italian :-) Excellent value for money. The parking lot adjacent to the restaurant is tiny and there are municipal parking lots opposite and less than a minutes walk away. Reservation recommended. In short, we want to go back!

We were there for our daughters birthday who wanted to eat good pizza. The flaky Brie was succulent, the calamari was not good very small portion and the taste was not good. The pizzas are very good and the seafood linguini is good too. The server was super nice.

We love the old oven, Ive been going there for almost 20 years (younger and now an adult). The wood-fired pizza is excellent. The Italian salad with cheese and ham, as well as their famous Italian sauce, are removed from the menu. How sad! Clean and well appointed place! Its warm! Superb team and there since day 1. I highly recommend: as a couple, with friends, with family and for a party!

After so many years, it is very disappointing. The food was really not up to what we know. The music way too loud. The waitress was not attentive to our table; she also brought a cake (which was expired) to the party without a candle even though I took the trouble to tell her discreetly. Its a shame, but I no longer recommend this restaurant.

Back after about 4-5 years for the occasion of a comedy show in the area. Same quality food, quite good. Outstanding service, waitress more than busy because it was a full house in the restaurant and despite that, an on point service, fast, polite and friendly. Big flaw I would say would be the too large number of people. I myself felt bad for the waiters when he had to squeeze between two chairs of 10 people with their coats... reduce the number of tables a little and the atmosphere will be even better, we are too crowded if we are at the middle of the room. Beautiful restaurant, good service! The waitress was kind enough to order the childrens food while the adults had wine and starters! The only downside was my dish! I had the veal pizzaiolo (white wine, garlic, tomato sauce according to the menu)... my dish was very spicy! I mentioned this to the waitress, who told me that the dish was spicy, which was not indicated on the menu! Aside from this little surprise, I had a very nice experience!

Very good service from Raphaëlle. And she tells me that there are 2 of them for a lot of people. Very good pizza and a good suggestion of wine to accompany it from our waitress. Good thing also no music on Friday. All in all, a lovely evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. THANKS.

The food is very good and the quantity quite generous... The service is OK for the time and our server Jhonny was great and even teasing and funny... there were about 17 or 18 of us gathered for the party of one of ours. .. our dinner and the evening went really well... P.S.: there is also a terrace... in the end I recommend this restaurant without hesitation Parking: Possibility in front of the restaurant (city parking) and a little more on the same side as the restaurant in a garage parking...

Never seen before. 15 minutes of waiting..the spaghetti arrives before our drinks..the wine in a champagne glass. The swollen spaghetti drowned in a meat sauce..a lot but way too much sauce..tables were lying everywhere..its rubbish..finished this restaurant for me

Calamari much too thick and chewy, coating dark brown! Calamari should be light and airy. Pasta dish, disappointing. Swimming in thick heavy sauce. Caution, if you ask for a different sauce on a pasta plate, expect a charge, but they dont tell you, you find out when you get your bill. Any additional charge should be posted on the menu and the server should advise when taking the order. Logically, there should not be any additional charge. I have never been charged extra when opting for a sauce that is already on the menu. At least the pizza was good. Service = 0/10. First and last time.

Very good meal. Table way too packed. Every person who passed behind me hit my chair and on the other side my friend had the same problem. Had a 50th birthday party there last week and we were about 30 people. The service was very good (2 waiters serving us) and everyone was happy with their plates. My only disappointment was my meal and another 3 of us who ordered the rib steak. The steak was very chewy (nerves or ligaments, stringy) that I had to spit the meat out, could have just been a bad cut of meat. Otherwise a great place.
