The food was OK but not worth the price I was charged. The prosciutto and melon was really cold. The cod was OK but even some of the asparagus on the plate was cold. If Im paying $50 for fish the all the food better be warm. The atmosphere wasnt the best. The server and chef were talking loudly to each other and swearing. I dont care if they want to talk but because there is no separation from the kitchen to the dining space, you bear everything and it cheapened the experience. Again $100, I expect a refined atmosphere. So the takeaway is the price didnt match the value I was supposed to have. I wont be returning.

Just came in from a birthday celebration of 20 people that we organized at Trattoria Bellamore. The food, the service, the atmosphere - all absolutely exceptional. Felt like we were in Italy! Thank you Daniele and team for a lovely, delicious night.

Unfortunately we walked out before we even had dinner. Several days prior to our dinner date we went directly to the restaurant to make reservations. Daniel welcomed us and advised that the restaurant offers dining in 2 seatings ...One at 5:30PM and the other at 8:30pm. We explained that we were receiving out of town guests and neither times worked for us. After a short conversation Daniel said he would honour our request for a 7PM reservation for 4. Upon our arrival on dinner night we were placed at a far corner table (next to the bathrooms) !!! But we didnt complain since the restaurant was full. Daniel came by shortly and provided us with verbal details of the daily special etc. However the table behind us was very loud and we had some difficulty capturing all the details of the daily special. Regardless, we asked for the menu so we could make a decision. He said they dont have a paper menu and pointed to the wall several tables away where the menu was written in white chalk on a blackboard. Due to the distance, the location of our table and the dim lighting of the restaurant I had to walk over to the board, take a picture with my cell phone and walk back to our table where each of our party took turns reviewing the menu. Daniel came back shortly and asked if he could take our order. I explained that we were not ready yet due to the menu sharing issue etc. Again I asked for paper menus and again Daniel advised they dont have any but he asked me to sign into Google and he then took my phone and looked up an on line menu. As a side note why did I have to use my mobile data instead of the restaurant giving me access to their internet. So once again we had to pass my cell phone around the table to look over the menu. Again shortly after Daniel comes back and asks for our order....Now we feel rushed and uncomfortable. In addition this time he strongly suggested that we start ordering appetizers to kill some time because there would be a 1 hour wait for our main course. At this point I expressed our disappointment with all this and told him that we were not willing to wait that long for our food. He quickly became defensive saying that the restaurant was at full capacity and that s why the long wait etc. etc. He accused me of being aggressive??? He also took the opportunity to mention that he was the owner....as if that would make any difference in my poor opinion of this place. And at that point we walked out. Goodbye forever Daniel and Bellamore Restaurant In closing....Dining should be a pleasurable experience. We never wait in line for lengthy periods of time or frequent restaurants that operate in a set number of seatings regardless of their stature. We dont like that formula and stay away from restaurants that operate that way.... Its not white table cloths and a pricy menu written in a foreign language with English subtitles that make a restaurant great. That technic is outdated and no longer appealing. Its the food and service that counts. Sadly I do not recommend this restaurant. Opposite Bellamare is Ken Ching a Chinese restaurant. Also a bring your own wine specializing in Cantonese & Sichuan dishes. So we walk across, enter , were immediately seated without any reservations!!! Within minutes we were served. Good food and generous portions ( we ended taking some home) and at a fraction of the cost. And fortune cookies too......Guess what mine said. Wishing You Happy Dining

This restaurant offers premium traditional Italian cuisine. Ive been there four times and have never been disappointed. It s a well-hidden gem in Laval. And being able to bring our own wine makes the experience much more affordable.

Service was okay, ambiance is nothing great. Prices are ridiculous, though. Entrees are $23-25 and very small portions. Mains are between $40-60. Flavors are good and aromatic but WAY TOO MUCH SALT! The owner, Daniel, is full of himself with his pompous, arrogant, pretentious attitude. His responses to any negative review show you who youre dealing with. Try Trattoria romantica 2 minutes away for a better and more affordable dining experience without the owners ego flooding the dinning area.

My husband and I have adopted this small, intimate and cute restaurant. Each time we are very well received, Daniel the owner is so kind and generous with his service. The dishes, having been there a few times and even with friends, they are all excellent. Well tastes are different for each person, but I assure you if you like Italian. this is the place to discover. It s a very interesting bring your own wine. Hidden germ in Laval. Its a bit pricey but you will not regret. Quality of food is consistent, they select their ingredients carefully, pay attention to the details. Its a big plus for drinker since you can bring your own wine.

Great food amazing service!

We were a big group and everyone had a great evening. Ranging from antipasto, lamb shank and beef ribs, everything was delicious. The portions are more than generous and the atmosphere is intimate (finally a good restaurant where you can hear each other talking!). But besides the cuisine, what sets this restaurant apart is the service. Daniel was able to offer us unparalleled service, answering our questions and even modifying one of the dishes to respect the dietary restrictions of one of the guests. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation and we will definitely return!

I consider myself a foodie. Cooking enthusiast, and had the privilege of eating at many top-rated restaurants around the world. Tonights dinner at Bellamore blew me away. Tied for best meal of the year! From the homemade gnogghi bursting of flavor, to the veal in a bisque sauce with scallops, to a beef rib melting in my mouth, yet with a crispy exterior... We cleaned the plates with the sliced bread. And byow?! Wow! Mille grazie to Daniel and his chef, we shall be back!

We were 2 couples we ordered antipasto to share it was 120$ for cesar salad and 4 pieces of cheese supposed to be the chefs creation over priced the waiter did not mention the price. We ordered the linguini, tortellini and osso buco they were ok It is extremely loud inside and very dark makes you feel clusterphobic. I would not go back at all. If you are looking for a good italian food go to Napolitana. This restaurant is over priced for what you order with a rude waiters and bad service, read below the manager answer to understand, it gives you a good idea about their attitude and service, no wonder why the staff are like him.

I am an ambassador to encourage businesses in my neighborhood. I am aware that restaurant prices have gone up; However, this restaurant is exaggerated in terms of quality and price. Our server Daniel was not courteous and he even raised his voice twice at another waitress. Reading the owners responses it is obvious that constructive feedback is not accepted. We ordered the osso buco and linguini which was not up to par.

I recently dined at Trattoria BellaMore, and I must say, it was a disappointing experience. The food was ok but nothing to write home about, especially considering the exorbitant prices. The antipasto to share was a whopping $120, a price far too steep for what we received. Furthermore, the atmosphere was excessively noisy, making it difficult to enjoy the meal or hold a conversation. Adding to the disappointment, the waiters demeanor bordered on rudeness, leaving a sour taste in our mouths. My advice? Steer clear of Trattoria BellaMore unless you enjoy overpriced food and a less-than-pleasant dining atmosphere.

This evening, my cousin and I dined at Trattoria Bellamore. My first time there. I cannot begin to tell you of the gastronomic experience we had. The evening began with an entre of sausage and peppers with stewed red kidney beans mixed with cuttlefish and with a side of crusty Italian bread to scoop up the deliciousness. That was followed by the most delightful spaghettini with seafood! All seasoned to perfection! The next dish was a lightly cooked whitefish with baby potatoes. Light, airy and delicious! This was capped off with the most fluffy vanilla strawberry cake...we actually had two different cakes, both so so delicious, accompanied by the most perfect cappuccino! Daniel, one of the owners, was the consummate host and server. He delighted us with his inventive suggestions and attention to detail. Michele, his dad who is also the owner and chef greeted us like we were old family friends. You can be sure I will be gracing their doorstep again and again! If youre looking for a warm, welcoming and delicious atmosphere, Trattoria Bellamore is the place to go!

Amazing food with a server that truly cares about the customers. Felt very welcomed and appreciated. Would definitely come back. For special occasions or just a night out. Has a regular menu but also a menu that changes every 3 days which keeps it interesting. Honestly we let the server decide what we were going to eat and it did not disappoint at all.

Ive been to this gem a few times, from the food to the service A1 ! The owners and waiters were always around making sure our glasses were full and if we needed anything else. Its such a romantic vibe, with the dim candlelights and makes an evening so enjoyable. Will definitely be going again!

We had the pleasure of trying this amazing restaurant yesterday as our little date night! Its so hard to find a nice, cozy, intimate ambience that allows you to bring your own wine in Laval. This is a family owned business that everything is homemade from head to toe; which provides high quality food and freshness especially when all is made daily ..which is so hard to find these days. We were so pleased with service, the sizing of the plates and the presentation of the food. The food was impeccable; that we are still floored of how everything tasted. The owner even came out at the end of the evening to present himself which showed us how they really cater, care and appreciate there guests. My partner and I cannot wait to bring our family here so they can try this hidden gem that deserves so much recognition; highly recommend!! Thank you again Daniel for everything, was beyond what we ever could have expected.

The waiter who greeted us was very professional, friendly and smiling. His service was top notch. The restaurant is relatively small and the tables are a little crowded so that there is not too much privacy (in any case the table next to us had some juicy anecdotes to tell) BUT we quickly forget this slight discomfort when the food arrives. Impeccable presentation, taste and texture that cannot be found elsewhere, truly surprising specialties! The decoration is cute, the lights are dim and its very warm. I also really appreciated that even though we werent in front of them we could still see the kitchen and it was clean and well organized. I am only removing one star because of the very tight arrangement of the tables in a small environment and that we had no menu to look at in our hands (a man was hiding my view elsewhere) and the specialties had to be repeated so that we remember it. otherwise it was perfect. .

What a pleasure to stumble upon a neighborhood restaurant with great food and service. Our party had pasta, veal, filet mignon and lamb and all were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. If you are looking for a worthy replacement for defunct Italian spots such as La Cantina, Da Felice or Machiavelli, Trattoria Bellamore hits the mark, with a varied and modern menu. Celebrated my husband s 40th birthday and Daniel was so great in helping coordinate the night for our group of approx 30 people. The night was perfect: food and service were excellent! Will definitely be going back! Thanks to Daniel and the staff for a great celebration night!

Finally got to try this restaurant. Everything was top notch from the beginning until end. I would have given 5 stars except that the dessert was disappointing after such a succulent meal. We were five and three of us found the dessert just ok . My husband who is a chef himself said that when you serve a better than average meal you should end with a better than average dessert. I would definitely go back .

We had a very nice evening. We are 6 friends who met to taste good wines with an excellent meal and we were not disappointed. The presentation of the dishes was very appetizing and tasty. I must say that we are extremely disappointed by the mediocrity of this restaurant. We relied on the reviews which were full of praise but we were frankly not impressed by the food. The seafood and meat were all frozen. Under the guise of refined cuisine, we were served seafood in crème fraîche. To end up paying (knowing that it s a BYOW) more than $150 for two. What is most shocking is the cost of the water bottles, which are charged at $9.5 each. This is pure madness. The only positive thing I have to say is that the service was excellent.

I chose this restaurant because I wanted a nice Italian place to propose to my girlfriend. I read the reviews and I heard the food was really good and the service was great. from the moment we got there we were really happy with the ambiance and it kind of felt really romantic with the dim lighting the nice music and the general feel. The waiters, and Dan were very considerate of my requests and made it a point to go above and beyond to make our night really special. The food was amazing. The portions were generous and my girlfriend absolutely loved it. The meat was tender, and flavourful. The appetizers were unique, and the flavour combos were really great, the seafood linguine was insane. All the flavours are authentic Italian and the ingredients are high-quality and it shows in the dishes they make. The canolli s were so good and fresh and overall it really made for a special night. We ordered a lot to have variety and everything was what I was hoping for. My girlfriend loved the experience and said yes so it was a night to remember. we recommend to anyone and we can t wait to go back. They also have chef specials that are off menu and delicious. We ate a feast that night and left very satisfied.

This place is a very nice and cozy restaurant! The service was impeccable. Our Mozarella and prosciutto entrees were very fresh and delicious. We all had different main dishes and were very satisfied with our orders. The deserts were also very tasty! We will definitely come back!

Super nice atmosphere, very warm for a dinner. Great variety in the menu which contains several fresh seasonal products from here (Quebec)! The pasta is tasty, the cheese is excellent and very fresh, as well as the meat tender and perfectly seasoned! What can we say about the service of our server who was able to advise us wonderfully. We will come back to taste more of your good dishes!

Dont bother. Over salted and over cooked food, but they only wanted to argue that no salt was used. It was just aweful.

Very very ordinary. Seafood linguini for $37 with matane shrimp that we look for on the plate and 3-4 clams. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

I ve been looking for BYOW restaurants and particularly enjoy Italian cuisine. After searching in the Mont-Royal area with no satisfactory options, i decided to go to Laval. This is a family-style restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a fixed menu that can be checked online. Additionally, there is a chefs special introduced on-site daily. The dishes we ordered were mostly chef specials: - For starters, we had baked clams with a thick layer of cheese and an Italian cheese salad that was very refreshing. - The main course consisted of roasted lamb leg, slow-cooked to perfection, and homemade Italian pasta that genuinely resembled the taste of Italy. - For dessert, we enjoyed a homemade tiramisu and a not-too-sweet lemon tart with mascarpone. the service was attentive. Despite the restaurant not having a luxurious ambiance, we found it to authentically capture the taste of Italy.

Big disappointment during our dinner at this restaurant. We were served lamb instead of venison which was supposedly on the menu. We are definitely not going back. The prices are also quite high.

Great food and great atmosphere. The only problem was the restaurant took a long time to prepare food. We were there for 1 hour and only had appetizers (salads) within that hour. But everything tasted fresh and flavourful. No complaint

Daniel offered an incredible service from the moment we stepped in to us leaving the place. An incredible meal, the proscuitto with fig starter was delicious and the pastas tasted just like they did in Cinquo Terre. A must if you like dedicated, personnal and warm service throughout the night and if you enjoy classic Italian dishes. 10 out of 5, will definitely go again! Bring your own wine is a nice plus as well !!

When a place makes a mandatory order of main dish to survive, it s not the place to eat. With the appearance of high end or not, I have never been to a place where I have to order one main dish per customer. What a fraud! (Based on the owner s reply below) Such nice comments from the owner. When you state a fact about the place, they reply back assuming and insulting customers that they are coming for a coffee. We would have had enjoy a salad and main dish but they rather insult the TIM HORTONS aficionados type. Let s show how the owner bash customers when reviews don t turn their way.

This was our first time at this beautiful and quaint restaurant/Italian bistro. The owner looked after us and his father is the Executive Chef. They are the real deal! The food is authentic Italian homemade style cuisine. I may well have had the best escargot entrée, I ve ever had. The BYO wine formula is also a real plus. We loved it and will definitely go back.
