Mardin Palace restaurant in Laval

Très bel endroit. Très bonne nourriture. J y retournerai sans aucun doute. C était un samedi. Nous avons eu droit à une superbe prestation d un chanteur ainsi que d une danseuse de baladi. Nous n avons pas eu accès au menu. C était un service comprenant une salade avec 6 sortes d houmous accompagnés de pain ainsi que d une assiette de grillades. C était excellent.

Compared to other restaurants in Laval that offer the same service, the mezza menu is too limited. You have to see what more the competition offers for the same price. In terms of atmosphere, you have to think about changing the repertoire of songs because at a given moment, the atmosphere becomes heavy listening to old songs throughout the evening. Also bet on trendy songs that make you want to party.

Unfortunately, this was the worst experience Ive had in a restaurant. We were a family of 8 people and at the start, the waiter advised that what would be offered is a table dhôte which includes a fixed menu. Personally, this exceeds the quality and the reasonable price. The waiter explained that with the table dhôte, it would be more advantageous because the portions are VERY GENEROUS and that it includes starters, a large salad and a variety of grilled foods since this would be available for a group of at least 4 people, which would cost $65 per person but the table dhôte would cost $200 for 4 people. We accepted. However, when the waiters brought the meals to the table, the portions did not meet expectations because they were very small quantities contrary to what the waiter had initially mentioned when advising that they would be generous. Then, we brought a homemade cake with our own candles to celebrate our mothers birthday. In no case had the waiter advised that there would be fees charged for having to serve a cake brought from home. In the end, when adding up, the bill came out really too expensive and the waiter had charged fees for a cake that wasnt even provided by the restaurant. $900 for a family of 8 people, ITS THEFT. The server lacked transparency and honesty. In short, I do not recommend this restaurant.

We came out of the Céramic Café to get our works because they were cooked and we were hungry! We passed this restaurant and decided to go there! It was a table d hôte! The food was really good, the atmosphere and the decor too! Live singer, baladi dancer, it was great! Our only downside: it was full so there were some confusions in terms of service! We were forgotten several times! Difficult to get our server!

The service is really bad and the dishes take too long compared to the price its extremely expensive the waitress asked me to pay the tip the same amount as the taxes wooow!!!! while normally we give what we want for the tip plus I was not well served at all its a scam really to be avoided its the last time I go to this place its incredible

Bad service and they tried to charge me $70 for a bottle of wine worth $17 at the SAQ which was not on the menu. Fraud or error??? Answer to your answer: I have already owned an inn so I know that having your alcohol stamped costs you nothing extra. Pay you the same price as a normal customer.

Pleasant atmosphere although very noisy. The tenderness, the spices, the cooking everything was perfect. Last week I went there to celebrate my birthday. At first, we didnt feel welcome, we even thought about leaving. It was the waitress who cheered us up. She put us at ease straight away, very warm. She came to see us every two minutes despite the restaurant being crowded. Having no culinary experience with Turkish food, she took the time to give us excellent suggestions for the meal. She regularly comes to refill the glasses (rare in a restaurant that is not upscale). The owner did not accept us in the big place because we had a child. So we were moved to the living room. Or its a little cold, if you go, remember to bring a jacket. The owner comes to see the customers at the tables and takes the pulse of the evening. An evening which ultimately was more than pleasant with exceptional service worthy of great restaurants, Bravo!!! For the meal: The fattouche salad was excellent. The Salmon, I made people jealous with my dish, very beautiful presentation, I recommend it, as beautiful as it is good, perfect cooking. I saw the employees take turns and help each other, great team spirit. Next time Ill ask for Sabrina again. I highly recommend Kid-friendliness: Children are not accepted in the main square. I thought it was a family restaurant.

Bad experience, upon arrival we were given a place after we had to change places twice. The menu we wanted for 4 people was not available, he offered us a menu for $150 per person, it was a scam. Then he arrives with a mixed dish that has nothing to do with the menu. The service is lousy. The dish is too salty. Lack of professionalism I will never set foot in this restaurant

We celebrated my daughter s 30th birthday at Mardin Palace and we were very satisfied witth the service and the entertainment and the food was delicious ! I definitely recommend it

Went there on a Tuesday night there was barely anyone there (as expected), I had to mention a couple of things multiple times, I had ordered a drink and had to remind her multiple times for it. I ordered some sauce that arrived when I was almost done my meal. Once we were sat, the hostess came promptly after to take our order, however I had to remind her that she never gave us the menus. Hostess made a few mistakes on the order , my wife had ordered house patoes and got fries instead. I got a completely different dish than what I ordered. I decided to keep my plate when it arrived because I didnt not want to wait another 30 minutes. Once we were done eating, I dont know what happened to the hostess but were waiting for someone to show up so I can ask for the bill. A good 20-30 minutes had gone by we did not see anyone, eventually I had to wave down the busboy and ask him for the bill. Half way through our meal, there were no other clients. I dont understand how it was so hard to take care of the only 2 clients in the restaurant. I dont know how they are making money. Its unfortunate because the food was good. And although the waitress was nice, she wasnt ready at all (no menus, kept forgetting items, missed order etc) , and was missing professionalism, she also did not speak a word of English. She kept replying to me in French although I spoke in English. When we arrived the restaurant was empty. The hostess asked us if we had a rsvp and she really checked and it was as though if we had not a rsvp than they have no room and couldnt eat there. The restaurant was EMPTY..... what was she checking the rsvp for? I dont know if I would go there again

The place is beautiful and clean and the service is up to par. On the other hand, their menu having recently changed, really gives the impression of a retrograde; chicken wings instead of skewers, fries instead of seasoned potatoes, ground meat instead of filet mignon... They would also benefit from having a greater variety in their soft drinks and teas.

The service is really well organized. The food is more than very good, especially in the evening it is very wonderful.

Not sure if this restaurants actually wants customers? Place was nearly empty, but no service, very slow to bring plates even though we asked multiple times. Kids can t share the sharing platters (must order their own food - a hamburger - or get charged a $10 service fee. Service fee for what? Barely any service). There are much better Turkish places in Montreal. Would not come again

This was the perfect place for my daughter s quinceañera dinner party of about 30 guests. It was a very nice atmosphere. We reserved a section of the restaurant which was closed off with glass doors. The service was great, waiters were very helpful and polite. The manager made sure everything went perfectly. Everyone loved the food which was presented elegantly. I would say I am satisfied with the price for all the service we received. A big thank you to all the staff, we really enjoyed the evening. Highly recommended! Kid-friendliness: The manager was polite and accommodating towards the kids and teens at our event.

Every dish we ordered was freshly made, delicious and nicely presented. We hesitated to order desert because we were full but we finally ordered their Kunefe and it was also delicious. Big restaurant and nicely decorated. We had a chat with the owner and he recommended we go on a Saturday night where they have music and dancing which I will do. Highly recommend.

Parking: Good Food

Went there a couple times and truly enjoyed my experience but came today and we were told theres a 10$ cover charge per person to get in, unless we take a group menu (minimum 65$ per person). Since when do you need to pay 10$ per person to get to eat at this restaurant? We are 2 people, we arent going to get a mega feast we wont be able to finish. Very disappointed as I liked that restaurant.

A definite place to AVOID! Food is terribly inedible. They use crystallized lemon (fake lemon) instead of fresh lemons in all their salads which makes food extremely sour and impossible to swallow. We asked the waiter to taste the salt in the dispenser and he couldnt hide the disgust in his face as they had put crystalized lemon instead of salt in all the dispensers which made the food worse than it already was.The experience was not only an expensive disaster but all four people who ate this disgusting meal had a bad upset stomach right after we left. I dont know how such places could still exist and open their doors to customers!. After the reply from the restaurant owner: 1) It was not only the SALAD that had taste and quality issues but every single dish that was ordered on 21APR2024. 2) Had you known how to use salt and lemon as you mentioned you wouldnt have filled the salt dispensers with the extremely sour crystallized lemon instead of salt! 3) Unfortunately there wont be a next time as no one would make the same mistake twice and pay to have an upset stomach. 4) Had you cared about customer service and experience you would have tailored your responses to meet the bare minimum of customer service

Went in the evening with my husband for his birthday last night, very happy with the service and the food We got the platter for 2 which had more than enough food for us to be filled up! The meat was tender and well cooked, salad and bulgur was really tasty and flavorful We were too full to take the knafeh but we will definitely come back to try it another time! Only thing is the little disco lights at the entrance makes the place look a bit more tacky and less medium formal dine in, but I guess thats just my preference!

This place is a 5 star on all levels. From the free and large parking lot all the way to the cleanliness of the restrooms. The dining area has large tables with very comfortable chairs. The services and food was to a world class level. Price was in concordance with the quality and quantity of the food. We even had left over that we took home. Flavors and taste was a unique experience. Large choice of alcohol as well. This spot is worth every penny and has options to reserve for large groups or other festive events.

We went to Mardin Palace on Saturday May 11 for a birthday. The place is very pretty and a concert was taking place that day, the music was so loud that we couldnt hear it from 8:15 p.m. when we arrived to 11 p.m. when we left. It was unpleasant not being able to talk to each other. The service was OK although we contacted the waiter twice because we wanted teas/desserts. The food was very very good, nothing to say about the chicken KOFTE. However, I am very disappointed with the final bill of $52 for a dish and tea. We were charged $10 (Saturday evening) + 18% obligatory tips because group of more than 6 people and we were not informed before! I understand the tip but the $10 for Saturday evening per person means that I will never return to this restaurant, which is way too expensive!

Had a blast dining at Madrin Palace! The vibe was cozy, and the food? Absolutely amazing. I went for the MARDIN SIGNATURE, and let me tell you, that Kebab Adana was perfection on a plate so flavorful and juicy. We also tried the feuilles de vignes, and they did not disappoint. But the coolest part? They served us dates, olives, bread, and some tasty sauces to break our fast, which was such a thoughtful touch. Really made us feel welcome and taken care of. Madrin Palace is the spot for great eats and even better vibes. Can t wait to go back!

I ve honestly never given such a low review to a restaurant but I hope the owners take this review in a constructive light. I came in with another person and we ordered 1 filet mignon plate, 1 rib eye, 1 soup, 1 fatouch. Service: lacking, the waiter doesn t explain anything to you and when you ask he gives you minimal information and you barely hear him Food allergies: if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions avoid. I asked for no gluten in my plate and to omit the bread from the fatouch. There were small bread pieces at the bottom of the fatouch bowl which tells me they probably put the bread and then removed it. The rice also seems to have some sort of pasta in it? Salad: basically just tomatoes, and a bit of cucumbers on a soggy leaf of lettuce, the tomatoes were grainy and mushy, absolutely no salt used barely any seasoning Meat: my rib eye was good and tender, but it lacked salt Filet mignon was dry. They served tea at the end that was luke warm. It s a beautiful place with alot of potential but the food is severely lacking. The cost was 140$ tax in for the above

I have been to this restaurant 3 times and the 3 times we had worse experiences than before. We went back so as not to judge the first time and to give more chances. The waiters are very nice, but the food is inedible, and the last time, we had the dish that was supposed to be grilled and it was full of oil, the salad was disgusting, and at the end we had a kunefeh and the cheese stank, and when we tasted it, it was rotten cheese and Im sure it was poorly stored or out of date, and spaghetti with meat for my son, and the meat stank. We asked the waiter who went to the owner and clearly yelled at him in front of us! And this is not the first time that this owner has acted badly with his customers! In any case, this is a restaurant I will never return to and which I do not recommend!

Food took long time to arrive and not all the order was received

The food taste was amazing but the quantity is way less than last year summer, especially the size of Kabab. I hope the restaurant managment bring back the same quantities as last year and stop using the metal dishes as its not appropriate for restaurant like Mardin. Also the food preparation took around 40 - 45 mints until we got it. I believe thats too long. But the restaurant is amazing and this review as an advise to improve.

Good quality of food. We had the misfortune of having Yassine as a waiter who was unable to offer us basic service. He is possibly homophobic. We felt neglected compared to the better service offered to other customers. Our table was never cleared and no dessert/hot beverage was offered. An hour after we finished eating we got up to go to the counter and ask for the bill. Damage.

Worst experience ever, waited an hour for my food they served only some in my groupe but not the rest, over cooked fish i sincerly dont recommend this restaurant.

We ordered for a group, but the childrens meals were served last, causing frustration for everyone, including the kids who had to wait over an hour. Despite multiple complaints to the waiter, the issue persisted. Service très long, qualité de la nourriture pas vraiment bonne (calamars et frites avait beaucoup dhuile), et en plus on te charge pour le service de gâteau danniversaire (3$ chaque client!!). On a ramener le gâteau nous même et ils ont même pas couper le gâteau. Enfin une mauvaise expérience. Première et dernière fois. Je le recommende pas.

Wow!!! Cant say enough great things about the food! EVERYTHING was delicious!!! Definitely try the fried cheese rolls and get some appetizers, they also serve incredible Turkish bread. Have been several times now and food is consistently delicious! You will not be disappointed!

Best Turkish restaurant in Quebec! I lived in Türkiye for several years for work and Mardin Palace is where the Turkish dishes are the most authentic. There are more and more Turkish restaurants in the region, but nothing matches this restaurant: freshness of products, impeccable taste and cooking, lovely presentation, beautiful atmosphere but above all real quality meat, which is so difficult to find these days! My favorite: the one-meter skewer accompanied by several other specialties! Mardin Palace has truly become THE favorite restaurant for everyone around me!

Food was good. Portion for 4 is not really quite generous. I was expecting it to have more meat as we paid $75 per person Now the service... Completely horrible. Frustrating... I had a reservation a week in advance yet they served the food after midnight, my guests were hungry and I was embarrassed with that terrible service. Every time I require to have the dinner served , the waitress kept saying 10 more minutes.after over 2 hours of waiting, my guests kinda gave up on food and dont want to eat so late ... My $2177 bill is not Worth it whatsoever.. Need new management

Last Saturday there were around twenty people invited to celebrate the wedding of two friends, but the service was disappointing... Imagine that we were present at the restaurant at seven thirty and the main course was served at a quarter past eleven, knowing that the restaurant prices were not cheap, and what made us complain at the end of the evening, despite this, they included an extravagant tip in the bill without leaving the choice of percentage to the couple... It s really a shame that such a specialty is spoiled by such a service NOT TO DO AGAIN!!

When it gets busy it s hard to find a waiter. The waiters don t ask how your meal was. They seem very busy on Saturday night. When you asked to take some food home they give you a container to do it yourself. The kebab with the yoghurt drenched bread is not the best choice. Shrimp plate was amazing. First off, I beg everyone who s seeing this to not even step a foot into this restaurants. The venue was completely EMPTY and when I say empty I mean absolutely no one. We get sat down and start ordering ,expecting great food considering the outrageous prices only to receive bread crumbs and 4 pieces of meat for 120$?Excuse you but the meal I saw was not worth 120$ and no don t go around saying to people saying the beard will keep everything « hot » maybe you should just I don t know serve the food freshly out of the oven ( yes I read the reviews)? Not only that the server brought us fries 20 minutes after we already had our food keep in mind THE VENUE WAS EMPTY. And the shrimps were overcooked. I walked out of the restaurant stomach empty and pockets empty. If you re looking for a place to eat bread crumbs and entree hidden inside your main meal for 120$ this is the place for you !

The owner is too critical with the bad reviews. Efendi, even if your restaurant is perfect, you will always find criticism . In my opinion ,putting in balance ,price/food/service/atmosphere is a good choice hardly to find these days ! The four star is only because the waiter didnt know the name of the plate.

a bad experience yesterday during the New Years Eve, we are really disappointed Lack of professionalism, lack of transparency, When booking by phone they did not explain or inform us that the table in a closed corner surrounded by walls without seeing the show so when arriving at the restaurant We refused to be seated then they refused to refund the entire $100 deposit The manager: (if this doesnt satisfy you next time you try elsewhere there are plenty of restaurants nearby) The girl at the reception was understanding and kind.

Well decorated place with good food and Arabic live music. Very entertaining to spend an evening while having supper. The food is middle eastern with a mix of Turkish/Levantine Arabic food. Good for large groups of people.
