Im not a fan of sushi so I had a plate of chicken (there are plenty of other good dishes too) and oh how I ate with gusto! What a great discovery, I will definitely go back!!

I went to this place with my Girlfriend. She suggested this place and we went to have some good time. Everything was ok till I found how hard it was to order the food. We wait probably around 45 minutes to see someone to come and take our orders. The presentation of the food they have was great; however, the test was not. Big disappointment from them. We spent 100+ and did not like the taste because some of sushi was fishy while our order was veggie. Even California Sushi does not contain Crab mea!!! Hello . Unfortunately, I probably won t visit them again, but I cannot make a bad call for others not to go there. It s all up to you.

Way too expensive for the quantity and quality. Big disappointment with the cod for $25 a small piece... really we wont come back.

The quality of the food is undeniable, but the prices are excessively high for what is offered. Its easy to find better value for money elsewhere. The service, for its part, leaves much to be desired: I had to wait 75 minutes to receive my dish, and whats more, it was the wrong one. Not wanting to prolong the wait any further, I had to make do with what was served to me, even though the person I was with had already finished their meal. Tatami mats should also be avoided: the place is extremely noisy, there is no privacy, the doors do not close properly, and the cushions on the floor are far from comfortable. A disappointing experience on several points.

Unfortunately, a disappointing experience at Mikasa in Centropolis. We were a group of 15. The service was the biggest negative point of the evening. On the other hand, it had nothing to do with the waiter who did his best, it was more the kitchen which couldnt manage. We were served 1h30 after ordering, but the most frustrating thing was that the group was served in two stages. Half the table was served while the other watched them eat and vice versa. This is really unacceptable in restaurants!!! My tempura starter (vegetables(2), shrimp(2) and squid(2)) for $20 was way too expensive for the result and the quantity. The only positive point, the sushi was excellent.

Slow service, but good food and nice atmosphere. Calm and Simple. Not too much noise so perfect for chatting and enjoying Vegetarian options: There are veggie dishes and its quite good. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance ramp is accessible for wheelchairs, two large doors and the height of the tables seems sufficient for proper placement, the chairs can also be moved.

Service was extremelyyyy slow. We arrived at 7pm on Friday as per our reservation, got our orders in at 8pm because the waitor didnt come see us beforehand. Food finally arrived by 9:40pm. We didnt order anything crazy for it to take so long and the restaurant was barely busy. We were a group of 9 and we had reserved a private room on the second floor. It was barely lit up, too warm, button to call service did not work (waitor said its been like that for a while) so there was no way to let the waitor know we were ready to order or needed water refill. Funny thing is when we told the waitor we wanted to pay, it took his colleague less than 2 mins to come. That tells you about their priority. Unfortunately, i wont be going back and its a shame because the food is actually good. Service needs LOTS and i mean LOTS of improvement.

Terrible service , 25 minutes to be served by our waiter. Wine tasting 15 minutes between the 2 wines we wanted to try.30 minutes to get the bottle we ordered. One hour and 20 minutes later we received our food. Server was too busy having fun and taking shots with a table with clients that were so loud. Never coming back here again

It took 3h45 to receive our meal (a plate of sushi) and 5h on site... We were a large group (14) so we were prepared to wait but 3h45 was too much! We received the plates one or two at a time. Some had finished eating more than an hour ago. If only it was just that, the young man who charges confronts me and makes a scene in front of the whole group about the tip left ($5 on a bill of $44+tx or around 12%) saying that its not not enough and is really showing attitude after I refused to let more. Really unprofessional, youll never see us again thats for sure and this young mans father (who must be the owner) should show him how to talk to customers!

Mikasa is our favorite restaurant! We go there several times a year! This time, on Valentines Day evening, we were very disappointed! We had reservations for 8 p.m. At 9:15 p.m., installed in a cabin on the second floor, we still only had a glass of water in our hands and no order to take. I asked for a change of table and as I moved I saw people arriving after us eating!!!! I left a message at the restaurant the next day because my partner and I were sick during the night! I think it was the so-called grilled scallops which were not really grilled and which were not fresh because already after this dish I did not feel well! Nobody called me back! In the end, $185 bill for starting to eat at 9:40 a.m. and the icing on Sunday was being sick!

Mikasa has been my favorite restaurant since my childhood and that is unlikely to change; It s just the best sushi! I eat it at least every week while trying other sushi places and, each time, there is nothing comparable to Mikasa. The quality of the products is impeccable, hence why it is quite expensive. I have been ordering from the one at Centropolis and Concorde for around ten years and there is no difference in taste, everything is great. However, the menus differ slightly; there are more varieties than the one at Centropolis. In short, as a loyal customer, the original decor, the presentation of the dishes and the warm service are always present. P.S. Katsu salmon is crazy, it s absolutely a must-try!

I just had a royal surprise by ordering this evening at the Mikasa Sushi Bar Chiisai restaurant - Samson, Concorde A SHAME the price increase A nigiri sushi unagi (2 pieces) that we pay $5.50 elsewhere is now $8:75 A very ordinary roll like a mermaid that we paid $10 some time ago is now $18 A menu that I paid $65 for is now $100! Come on the price increase .. I recommend everyone to go where the prices are affordable even if it is a little further away such as: sushi sama in fleury or the small sushi restaurant in vanier A shame this price increase $100 for 24 pieces!! To be very good it s very but for the price phewffff a restaurant I went to often since it opened but I will NEVER go back there, ever!!!!!!

Phenomenal sushi

I went there for a birthday, it was good, we had a room reserved upstairs. The cocktails are good and so is the food. I dont eat sushi, but the other dishes offered are good. I really liked the fried squid. It might be a good idea to add other items to the menu for people who dont like or cant eat raw. However, since we were in a separate room from the food court , the service was slower.

Food is great, but waiter came back & embarrassed us suggesting we didn t leave enough of a tip. We were only a table of 4 and tips are customary and at the discretion of the diner; If you want a guaranteed specific percentage, incorporate the tip in the bill; guilt tripping the diners is bad business.

It was very delicious and the service was also good, however I dont like being told that I didnt give enough tips for the waitress. I understand that this is how a waitress earns her money, but saying it out loud in front of my guests, I didnt like it.

Used to be one of the best, now simply mediocre. Food is very bad. Very soggy and taste like cardboard. Waiting time hasnt improve, 45 minutes to get two rolls. Didnt get any water refill at the table nor were we asked a refill on the drinks. Menu has no picture. Unless you know the menu by hart, pretty bad to navigate there menu. Very expensive for no reason. We paid almost 300$ for 3 people and we were all very unsatisfied. Be aware

We waited 1 hour for first plates (15 speciality sushis), and then another half hour in between for the remainder 25 sushi s (we only ordered 40 pieces). The sushi s that are usually served warm were cold, All tasted bland and nothing really appealing. 180$ in the garbage

On a table of 9, we were served 3 rolls of sushi in the space of 2.5 hours and the other half of our table of 9 received their order after we had finished eating...and it took 40 minutes to get it. water and some people had menus, others didnt, etc.

Trying hard to be fancy but wooden chopsticks? Overpriced for amount and quality. Washrooms didnt lock and no paper for hands. 2 hour wait for food ... yet, the restaurant wasnt full. Ate my lackluster sushi, left hungry and got la Belle Province steamies. There wont be a repeat of this one.

The sushi was very disappointing for its price; cold for some (are they prepared in advance?). Few fish. Sticky nori seaweed. We wont go back there again... too bad! A few years ago it was good.

We have been customers for several years but its OVER! Getting yelled at comes out because the waitress is not happy with the tip left, well sorry but there are a ton of other sushi restaurants! I cant believe losing customers for such a stupid reason! So bad for you!

Came here on a Sunday night. Theres wasnt alot of people. The guy that served us was very friendly and nice, even the busboy was very nice. We didnt get any drinks so I cannot comment on that. The service was really fast Definitely get the nirvana and sashimi roll. We also got some salmon sashimi and it was very tender almost like butter. We also got the fried banana for dessert, and it was good aswell, the portion was big 2 full bananas. Definitely will come back for the sushis

Best sushi

Lets start with the worst: selection of sushi ok...not bad but nothing extraordinary. Very good now, the chefs selection and specialties are incredible! I would give up the reg sushi menu. and thats all Ill do! Excellent atmosphere and the specialties are as delicious for your taste buds as your eyes.

Service was excellent. The sushi was good but not what I would call traditional. It was slightly too much for my taste. Think of it as a fusion sushi bar. Most items are heavily influenced by sweet sauces and mayonnaise. It was interesting and my guests were quite pleased with the menu and the presentation but you should go in with the correct set of expectations to enjoy yourself. It is also fairly pricey as one would expect from a sushi bar regardless of its respect with traditions.

Talk about overpriced for what you get. Had to laugh when I saw the sashimi.

Excellent. They accommodate vegan people with really good choices, and the non-vegans who accompany us all also say that the food is really, really good. The service is very friendly and the place is beautiful. The summer terrace is very pleasant, with outdoor heaters. Really a good and beautiful restaurant.

Great experience here , the staff was friendly and was very kind. They lets us change spots to the more Intimate Japanese style rooms at the last minute. Kane the waiter was awesome and of course the food was top grade....fresh all the way.

Went in alone sat at the bar and ordered a Sapporo beer. Then got the menu reviewed it decided on the Omakase menu . Was told it need to be for two people . Then was told by server he could pick out something . Told him as long is it matched the cost of $80 for the Omakase. He then came back and said the chef they could do the Omakase for one. To me it s yes or no but doing what was done is not right. This is the only reason plus the noise level that it got 4 and not 5 stars. Food was excellent and good value for quality. Server was nice over all but also looked pretty busy not sure why he had his phone out all the time when he went by figured maybe he s taking phone orders ? Kind of odd. I d recommend the Omakase for sure . Maybe Saturday night is super busy so if you like it a little quieter maybe a weekday? Don t know as I don t live here. Best Japanese restaurant experience in Montreal so far and I ve had Japanese in Japan and many cities.

Excellent food, gluten-free menu available, nice and courteous servers but did not come to our table often enough for our liking (central table) and the food took a little time to arrive. A little more expensive than elsewhere. I still recommend it because everything else is impeccable. We had a wonderful evening enjoying ourselves. The waiter even took the time to have fun with my 3 month old casserole! Dietary restrictions: Varied gluten-free menu available Kid-friendliness: I was able to bring my 3 month old baby with the stroller without problem.
