Restaurant Vien Dong in Laval

Vien Dong has been our favorite restaurant for years, whether eating in or taking out, and it never disappoints. The quality and taste of their dishes are consistent year after year, and the portions are always generous. A few weeks ago, we used their catering service for my sons birthday, and everyone loved the food! From delicious peanut butter dumplings to perfectly cooked steaks to flavorful chicken, every dish was a hit. Vien Dong truly stands out as the best Vietnamese restaurant in Laval, with authentic, flavor-packed cuisine that keeps us coming back again and again. I highly recommend it for all occasions!

An excellent discovery for the taste buds, Homemade, we took the Menu for two general tao and pot au feu, each dish was filled with different flavors. Fried banana desserts to die for, melt in your mouth without too much at our big meal

It took a little time to get some service but i have to say : It was worth the wait. Best Nem and Tom Yum soup i ve ever eaten so far in Montreal/Laval.

I was extremely disappointed with my dinner with a friend who was visiting from out of the area. The food was okay, but the service was non-existent. We had to get up to get the necessary condiments and the right utensils because there were no sauces, salt pepper and the like on the table like there normally are. There were about 7 of us in the restaurant. We had to pour wine ourselves too honestly, thats a big no for me!

Excellent service, they respected the fact that we were not in a hurry by leaving a delay between dishes. The broth of the soup is so good and I really liked the general tao.

One of the best pho and pad Thais!

The spring rolls are incredible but the dishes are not exceptional, lack of seasoning in my opinion, lack of taste. The other downside would be the cleanliness and the service which is not really friendly. So I recommend just for spring rolls.

Excellent food prepared with love by a family who is dedicated and attentive to its customers. Pad Thai and tofu tom yum soup are our must-haves, not forgetting the spring rolls that our children love. Finally, even if everything is fresh and delicious, the prices are more than reasonable. Ive been here three times and every time the meals were excellent! The service could be improved and the dining room is due for a refreshment, however the food more than makes up for these details. Vietnamese restaurant. Traditional Vietnamese dishes such as: Hue beef noodle soup, spring rolls..., this place also sells vegetarian food but not much, only stir-fried vegetables. There is a very delicious Vietnamese iced milk coffee

Wife and I had takeout from here last night for he first time and the food was incredible. I had the shrimp and chicken dish with noodles and a salad... so much flavor! Wife had a soup with bbq chicken an veggies (I stole a few bites) and it was delicious. The star items of the night for the both of us were the spring rolls. Crispy and ultra tasty. Will definitely be eating here again

The fried squid melts in your mouth, the Tom Yum soup relieves congestion, their imperial rolls are perfect, their scallops on charcoal WOW...

Wow! We took combo #2 for two people, really loved it, really well eaten. We definitely come back regularly!

We hated this restaurant. The server seemed to be in a hurry all the time. The chicken in one of our dishes had a stale aftertaste. The atmosphere was lousy.

First and last time for us here. We ordered steamed dumpling as a starter. Standard six pieces which were barely warm, and in a pasty peanut butter sauce. Wife had a large chicken Pho which was not very tasty nor hot. I had the large rare beef and beef ball Pho which had slivers of beef, but not rare, was some type of shrivels of tasteless shredded meat. The balls were some type of processed product. Also not very tasty. There are no sauces on the table. They give about a tablespoon of hoisen and siracha in a small dish. Not impressed. Parking: Parking lot on the side, very dark. The food was very ordinary, and even disappointing. I am a regular at Vietnamese restaurants. I take the same thing everywhere. 3 grilled dishes (beef, chicken and shrimp). At this restaurant, its the worst Ive ever had, I can compare it to at least 5 other Vietnamese restaurants. The spring roll was disappointing, if not good. Chicken too. The side salad was symbolic, really mini portion, almost decorative. The beef and shrimp were decent, nothing more. Very disappointed. I strongly advise against this restaurant.

Tasty food and attentive service.

Really an excellent choice, the meat melts in your mouth because it is so tender, courteous and fast service, it must be said that we were the only ones in the restaurant my friend had the pad thai but I recommend a combo of grilled meats that comes with soup and imperial rolls.

We are invited to a table. I have the plant brushing above my head. The table is not clean. We ask to clean it, but too complicated, they change tables for us. We asked for the menu after 5 minutes of waiting. We receive 2 menus, 1 of which has nothing in it. We ask 4 times to take our order. After 25 minutes of waiting, we received the owner who took the order. We receive our soup, a spoon is missing. We receive our meat and vegetable dish in a bowl with the sauce, but no spoon to help ourselves. Very ordinary food. I know Vietnamese restaurants that are 100x better. Do not recommend.

Wonderful, super good return to cost on

We ordered via Uber Eats for takeout. The entire order was ready on time, we even got a slice of cake as a gift. The lady who prepared our 832279 for us was adorable! As for food, this is the only place we find spring rolls and they are delicious! We also had a pad thai with shrimp and chicken and a pho soup, two very good dishes! It wasnt the first time we ate there and it wont be the last :)

Beautiful Vietnamese restaurant to discover in Pont-Viau. I love their large Vien Dong platter which includes grilled chicken/beef and also shrimp, squid and scallop skewers, with a fried roll and salad and several sauces. Their soups are also very good and well stocked: the beef meatballs are tasty with a nice texture in the mouth, and the tom yum soups are delicious. Discovered this restaurant on UberEat. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the Laval region in my opinion! The taste and freshness of the food is second to none. I highly recommend.

This restaurant is the best Viet restaurant you can find. Everything is good, if not excellent. I recommend their specialty: pad thai. Otherwise, the imperial rolls, wontons, whatever, everything is absolutely wonderful.

Despite our attachment to this restaurant, both of us are of the opinion that this Vien Dong is no longer popular. Plate served buttered with sauce, dry rice. Bottle of water with the glue from the old lvin label, dirty salt and pepper shakers, tables and chairs too. A change of direction is necessary. Too bad

We went here for my wifes birthday dinner with friends and we all really enjoyed the meal. We were seated right away and service was very attentive. The dishes came quickly and were all very flavorful with generous portions. We ordered everything on the menu and shared it family style between our party of 8. We especially like the fried shrimp, pad thai, and specialty noodle soup dish. We will be back for sure!

This is one of those random happy moments when you get to eat a perfect hearty meal! We were driving back from PEI to Fredericton and had to pick-up dinner from Moncton as Fredericton has very limited options after 7pm. My partner felt like Vietnamese food and we picked this random restaurant from Google which will be on route! Picked up the food, loved the interior (such fun place!). Regretted immediately for not dining-in. The service was really friendly. Food was still warm even after two hours of driving. And it was a delight! Maybe we were too hungry and I forgot to take pictures. Portion size was good, soup was yummy! Pricing was very reasonable compared to Ontario! Will definitely dine-in on our next visit to Moncton!

Not recommending this place, over priced, quality of service and food ,Not impressed at all. If you are a real asian. You would know where to go for a PHO or authentic vietnamesse food. Service was bad, staff were not very welcoming , no smile .. food wasn t good, I ordered grilled chicken combo, soup that comes with it was just some lil veggies . Grill chicken can t really taste the marination, and very small portion. The soup my sister and brother-in-law ordered was the Special which supposed to come with beef balls, rare beef, trips, tendons was just WOW 1 beef balls, no trips at all and the beef was very tiny pieces just so disappointing and plus it was a large size .. that looks like a small soup at other regular vietnamesse restaurant. Sorry but it s the truth I regret coming to this place .

When I lived in Ottawa, I had my go-to Pho places. This place is fantastic. The food is great and the store owners are lovely and kind in every way. Been there many times, not planning on stopping. Super de belle place. Bonne bouffe, cest sur, et le couple à qui appartient le resto sont tout à fais sympathique!

It is definitely the best restaurant of its kind. Plus good prices. Its not like other grill and saute restaurants. It s delicious family cooking!!!!!! I almost always get the chicken, beef and shrimp love nest. The meat is delicious and seasoned to perfection. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy. Season the broth carefully. Homemade imperial rolls. Even the wontong wrappers are homemade. And what about their way of frying crispy noodles?!!! Incomparable!!!! By far my best restaurant. Thank you very much to you

I loved my experience! Dont trust the facade of the restaurant from the outside, its stupid... but the menu is DELICIOUS, I love everything I eat! Cetais fresh and tasty.. the soup is excellent! I dont give 5 stars because the service leaves vrm to be desired.. :(!! Update: I went back for Pho soup and have to give 2 stars. The plates were dirty, the water jug too. And the rare beef looked like a piece of meat thawed in the broth. Poor.

Vien Dong is our favorite Vietnamese restaurant! My kids love soup and egg rolls. Personally, my favorite dish is the chicken with peanut sauce and crispy spinach. The fried pineapple is also delicious. Its a family restaurant. The owners work hard and are always smiling. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. Go there once and you will return often!!

Pretty bad pho I ever had in Montréal!! I ordered rare beef and well done flank but dunno what kind of beef they gave it to me. Stew beef and chewy. They dont prepare hoisin and sriracha on the table, they only give on the side small plate. For the price 14.95++ I m not recommended to eat here.

Disappointed to have spent my Uber Eats gift card at this restaurant. The wonton soup was very good, despite the bits of chicken bones I caught in the soup. The rest clearly lacked taste. The general tao was dry and the vegetables in the birds nest were average...

Service in 20 minutes it was very good but if you think you are able to eat outside you will have to manage because everything is separate so no bowl or plate to mix

Phew the worst food Ive eaten in a while.. the general tao is soft and very thick with dough that rolls in the mouth its disgusting.. the long shrimp sticks lift my heart with just one bite.. Im very disappointed in addition order high price for what it is!!!

Not a very pleasant experience. I arrived for my order to bring as requested 25 minutes after my call. When I arrived I was told that I was too early and had to wait another 25 minutes. When I arrived home I thought they had ordered the wrong order because my general tao looked like soup... too much liquid sauce. So we didnt eat at all. Real waste

Great service! We had a problem with Skip the Dishes (the delivery person did not pick up the order). At the restaurant, they quickly intervened with Skip by phone to demand a new delivery person.

Waited a good half hour before getting the soup and 2 minutes after the main meal was served, so when it came time to eat it (as I hadnt finished eating the soup) it was cold

Had an amazing service. Literally had the best experience. We asked for vegetarians plates and the girl was so sweet and tried so hard to accommodate us. They gave us a free rouleau and good portions! Put everything in a big box. Will definitely come back and im recommending it to everyone. I chose this restaurant because of the good reviews on Google map. The waiter got the order wrong 3X and the food is too greasy/oily for my taste for Vietnamese. Disappointed.

The quality has really gone down. I used to like this place for their nem but the nem I got today was soggy, oily and not crispy at all. (I live 5 mins away)I felt like I was eating soggy rotisserie chicken skin. Also, there were no pickled veggies with the bun cha like before and the Tom yum soup no longer has the deep herby/tart/citrucy/fishy flavour like before and tastes very bland. I dont know if the chef changed recently but very disappointing.

We took the VD platter, which includes: Chicken fried rice, Shrimp Pad Thai, 4 dumplings, 2 egg rolls, sautéed vegetables. In addition to being delicious, the portions are generous: in addition to dinner, we were able to make lunch for the next day.
