A wonderful dining experience, the staff are amazing and I highly recommend to all.

Great food, location and service.

Very good food - and I dont say that often - and unfussy but effective service. Other things I like: short but interesting menu, not pretentious in any way, good selection of wine by the glass

Most disappointing meal to date. We were looking forward to our lunch at Oscars today. Both our starters were good, the soufflé was not a soufflé but was tasty. My steak was perfect but the chips were so salty that I could not eat them . My wifes dijon chicken was uneatable the potato rosti overcooked. We skipped desert and coffee. No effort was made to offer us a price reduction or a drink on the house. On reflection we should have returned the food when realising how bad it was. But we were having such a good day up to then, neither of us could be bothered with a potential argument. We have wanted to try this restaurant for a while now, we have and never again.

Unbelievable steaks and great service and atmosphere

Food was OK, could have more flavor. Steak, frites cooked perfectly. Service was indifferent at first and then totally absent. Still waiting for check in and whether we want dessert, check. 50s music soundtrack is oxymoronic for a French restaurant

Delicious food, perfect service. We had 3 courses for £26, a great offer on Tuesday nights. Felt like we were in Paris! Highly recommend.

This hidden gem was thoroughly enjoyable! The lamb with dauphinoise potatoes was to die for, and the chicken with mashed potatoes and greens was also incredibly delicious. The desserts were a very slight let down, the sugar on the crème brulee was a little burnt but it wasnt enough to detract from the amazing mains. Service was leisurely as to not put pressure on, but staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will absolutely return! Parking: Chandos street parking is opposite the restaurant

Really lovely bistro with some amazing steaks. Food was fantastic all round and we really enjoyed all our dishes. Service was good overall but inattentive at points. Definitely worth a visit for a special dinner or date night.

Lovely food. Just a couple of issues, we had to wait awkwardly as our booked table wasn t ready for us. We had to wait over an hour for food but it was worth it. There were a couple of times we noticed cutlery dropped & they put back in the drawer to be used. The food was lovely however and I definitely will be going back. Great if you want the dinner to be the whole evening out & relaxed. not if you have to rush for theatre or film or somewhere.

This gem of a restaurant has be ourfavourite. The food is incredible the staff are warm and welcoming. The steak is the best we have ever had. Great champagne. You feel like you could be tucked away in France it has a beautiful French vibe very romantic and intimate. Would highly recommend. We look forward to returning. We had a sizable portion of Mussels as a starter. The medium rare Flatiron Sirloin was beautifully cooked. Staff are very professional and helpful.

I am always a little reluctant to commit to a restaurant I have not been to before. I guess I like knowing that I am going to enjoy my food and not waste my money..... If you are looking for a great little fine dining restaurant, try Oscars , you will not be disappointed

Cosy, intimate, classy. Lovely place if youre looking for something a little special. Perhaps not ideal if you are a party of 5 or more. The restaurant can meet your needs, but when the rest of the tables are full of couples having a romantic dinner, you may question whether this is the right venue for a loud, jolly affair.

Oscars - I read the reviews - laughable - disgusting place - example rib eye streak - wow disgusting and Pascale who s some part garçon in this restaurant tells me the steak is from Scotland - laughable - bad steak if people even understand their meat - avoid this place an absolute disaster - be warned and expensive humbled by some French guy who has no clue

An excellent place to have dinner. They had a real appreciation for gluten free. The steak was excellent. Not really a place for vegetarian or vegan but certainly one for a lover of an Aubury Allen steak. Chips were really good too. Excellent wine selection. Perfect for a date night and treating the parents. Dietary restrictions: Knew about gluten free and provided gluten free dinner roll.

Our favourite restaurant for a weekday evening dinner.

This is a lovely cosy restaurant. Its lovely and intimate on the ground floor and a great place to go for a date night or special occasion. The menu had a good selection to choose from and I was delighted to see Creme Brulee on the dessert menu. Would definitely recommend. Parking: Located in the Town centre with a council car park very close by, just a couple of mins walk.

What a disappointment, was so looking forward to celebrating my partner s Birthday at Oscars with our friends. We opted for the set menu that consisted of a starter, main and desert, the main was Beef Stroganoff, the portions were so tiny and consisted of three small pieces of meat and a blob of mash potato, the desert was boxed up because we had a birthday cake but we all opened our boxes to find the smallest piece of cheesecake that was about two mouthfuls. We were ignored, never once asked us if we wanted another drink or offered coffee at the end of our meal, which by way we ate in 2 minutes. Staff rushing past us but not stopping to see if we were alright or needed anything .all in all such a disappointing experience, I have never left a Restaurant feeling hungry before, so needless to say we will not be returning. Photo is of the tiny piece of desert they gave us, I have never written a review in my life but this experience at this restaurant really bothered me.

Felt like the small French bistros of my youth. Food was excellent: melt in your mouth delicious rump and rib-eyes cooked beautifully. Service was good with every person of staff charming, quick and switched on. Will look forward to going back!

Faultless! The mussels were tender and delicate, with a sublime, creamy sauce. The steak and chips were perfectly cooked (and I am a picky customer when it comes to steak). We were sadly too full for pudding, but cant wait to go back and sample the puddings! Highly recommend! Incredible value and the service was impeccable. Its the perfect spot for an intimate lunch or dinner, great ambience and decor.

Oscars has truly been my favorite restaurant during my long stay in Leamington. For French people who are a little homesick, this is the perfect place to take your mind off things! The food is delicate, well presented, the staff is friendly and smiling. A little French bubble in England!

Restaurant located not in the city center of Leamington Spa but still reachable on foot. It was easy to book through Google and get a seat the same day for a Friday night dinner. The restaurant has two floors and 4 rooms although the entrance appears small and old. The wait for the meals was very long and for this reason the review would normally have 4 stars but the waiters apologized several times and offered a glass of prosecco while we waited. The exquisite food, from main dishes to desserts. I recommend it

Food delicious, staff & service good, but the host! Wow. Our first time in this place & although I clearly stated it was my friend s birthday in the booking & reiterating upon arrival that the birthday boy is here in the most playful manner, all we got was can you close the door properly instead of a warm hello or welcome. And it didnt get any better. Asked for a bit more detail on their 4 steaks they serve as I aint a steak connoisseur & hardly ever order them. My bad! Should not have bothered- instead I ordered duck. And when my friend wanted a well done steak it was met with what a shame. Sorry we have been such a total nuisance for your restaurant- and rest assured we wont be coming back and I will gladly take my hard earned money to many other wonderful places in Leam.

We went on a Tuesday evening so there was a set menu which was great. My son is lactose intolerant and they accommodated him beautifully. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Beware Tuesdays! If you want a steak then Oscars is not the place to go on a Tuesday - book a table, no mention of the fact that Tuesday is fixed menu day, no steak. One star lost for that, another for the complete failure of the staff to recognise there might be something remiss. Apart from that, the food was great!

Finally went to Oscar in Leamington spa ! Pros - good selection of wine and cocktails - nice to have olives , bread and saucisson on the table - lovely fries ( i assume they were homemade) - the pepper corn sauce with the steak was delicious - I did feel like i was back home , i liked the atmosphere Cons - its expensive and the portions are small - disappointed in the Pain perdu , it was so small and dry. My friend had to send hers back as it was 1/3 burnt. Shame I think i will be back to try the lunch menu as it is more affordable

Very slow service. 3 1/2 hours to get a 3 course meal. Personally my main dish wasnt upto much but everyone else in the party enjoyed their food. But the whole evening was marked by the fat that service was so poor. It took 1/2 an hour to get some drinks and then the same again to get starters. We had to constantly chase for other drinks to. We visited on 28th October

Juicy steak and cross chips/fries. Very delicious and aromatic. The atmosphere was also very nice; small but comfy and authentic french. I can definitely recommend to come here, I will definitely do that in the future. 5 stars!

For a place with a positive reputation it was positively disappointing! First steak was as tough as rubber and chips for both meals were dry and tasteless, sent my steak back and the chef remade to a good standard! The peppercorn sauce was tasty and thick. The one waiter was lovely, and very apologetic, the chef also came out and apologised which was creditable ! Despite the slightly slow service the manager kept running out with headphones on to vape outside! Cosy, traditional restaurant with so much potential. Sadly missed the mark on the evening when we visited!

Looking at other reviews before posting, my partner and friends must have caught this place on an off day. The good bits: great decor and atmosphere The rest: My partner and friends were seated 15 minutes late to their table. Only a minor thing of course, but since they were pushed into leaving by staff turning off music and lights, it was clearly a bit of an issue. The order was for two rib eye, one fillet and muscles. They got one rib eye and two fillets. To save waste my partner agreed to have the fillet but they were surprised to see that she was charged for it. The steaks were all under what was requested with one of the group leaving all but a bit of the steak. This wasnt questioned by staff and there was no check with the table or opportunity to bring this to staff attention. When deserts arrived for the table, it was announced with who had what. No one minds helping staff out with an order but it would have been nice to name the deserts so that the group had a chance to help. As mentioned, given other reviews this may have just been an off day but it wasnt up to the standard expected

Fantastic service, incredible food and lovely Parisian atmosphere at Oscars! We had a wonderful time celebrating an engagement with friends, Pascal and Jag were absolutely brilliant all evening and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Would highly recommend and can t wait to return now we ve found this gem!

Too bad the Michelin recognised restaurant is serving pre-made, factory meals in their menu. Shame.

Wonderful - its just a little place but feels very authentic. We had the steak and the toulouse sausage, both we delicious. Reasonable value too for lunch. Were looking forward to going back next time were in the area.

Was travelling through and found this fantastic little gem we had the lunch menu if you truly want great tasting French food just the way it should be book yourself a table here the walnut and wild mushroom starter was a delight and a must for any garlic lover. And as for the slow cooked lamb its so tender there is no need for a knife it simply fell apart with the fork and all I can say is what a perfect mix of flavours the ratatouille will leave you wanting more. The fish cake cream sauce and spinach my wife had was the first time she has ever given food a ten out of ten. The staff were really great from the moment we went in nothing to much trouble for them. Will be making a special trip back this way just for the food here again

Amazing Saturday night meal, just incredible food, wine and service and so well prepared and organised for these bizarre and unnerving times. After months of lockdown it was such a relief to experience true fine dining again!

Would highly recommend for authentic french food! Went for lunch with my mum, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the chestnut mushrooms on sour dough bread to start the sauce was incredible and used the bread on the side to mop up the sauce, couldnt get enough! for main my mum had the ox cheek and i had the pork loin i tried both dishes and so did my mum and we both loved both dishes the ox cheek just fell apart and the pork loin was perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. And at only £21 for 2 courses for lunch the value was fantastic.

We recently had dinner from Oscars and we had a lovely experience. The staff are all very warm and welcoming and the service is great. The food was quite tasty and authentic as well. We will definitely go back soon!

the cafe de Paris butter was very good however my partner and I both ordered rare steak and they were medium at best, which considering the recommendations we had had about Oscars was more than a little disappointing. the desert was lovely, a dark chocolate delice with coffee mouse.

A gorgeous cosy French bistro situated in the heart of Leamington Spa. Me and my partner have come here a couple of times for date night and the food is just superb. The staff are always so friendly and attentive.
