Regent Pl, Leamington Spa CV31 1EH, United Kingdom
Small, down-to-earth bistro serving traditional French cuisine using local ingredients plus wine.
Whilst the food was alright, the service was a little too slow for our liking, leaving us to be the last people in the restaurant ready to pay. Whilst it was clear the ingredients were of high quality, there was a lack of consistency in the harmony of the ingredients, some being over powering over others, with the sauces being quite underwhelming. The wine offerings were good. Overall a bit of a disappointment having seen the other reviews.
It felt like fine dining for just above average prices. Everything was extremely high quality, and I can't wait to take my partner there again. There was also a huge selection of vegetarian options, which was great for me.
Marvellous, proper food. Just bang-on. It's exactly what you hope for in a neighbourhood French bistro/restaurant. Outstanding seared cod in a buttermilk sauce, pea & mint soup and chive gnocchi. We went early on a quiet, rainy Thursday and it was great. We look forward to stopping off in Leamington again so that we can go again
Delicious French food! We had all 3 courses and simply wanted to carry on eating! Everything was good quality and the flavour combos worked well. The restaurant itself is also very cosy and intimate.
Delicious food and wonderfully cosy restaurant vibe. We really enjoyed our meal and everything we tried was delicious. I particularly loved the corriander and cod fishcakes (pictured)! Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be going back :)
Delightful little restaurant tucked away in the Old Town. Delightful relaxed dining, lunch chosen from the set menu. Seasonal ingredients cooked to order. Excellent value. Highly recommend. Many thanks to the host Christophe
Fabulous, cosy French Bistro. The menu is not huge but we wanted every dish. The chef clearly knows what s/he is doing with exceptional flavour combinations. We had cod on potato rosti and aubergine tarte tatin for the main course. Both were simply delicious. The cod was succulent and tender with perfectly crisped skin. The rosti and sauce on the side were packed with flavour, such as fennel seeds. The tarte was perfectly sticky, with the pastry perfectly cooked. Again, the flavour combinations were delicious. For dessert, we had French cheeses (including an extraordinary gooey brie) and creme brulé (one of the best I have had). The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The best bistros I have been to in France make you think that the cooking is effortless. (It isn't, just the sign of really good, traditional cooking). This is what I felt at this restaurant - a restaurant that is about as authentic French as you will find outside France. Highly recommended.
Had an excellent lunch with my partner. Excellent choice of food and drink and all locally sourced! Very reasonably priced and would reccomend to anyone. We both went for a 2 course lunch which was £18pp and the quality of the food was excellent.
3rd time here. You won t be disappointed. Soufflé starter is a must. Will be back soon !
Excellent evening meal for four of us ox tail starter brill steak sauce delicious plus Lebanese red wine. 3rd visit must not leave it so long next time
Delicious food with beautiful sunset view. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
A gem, which I have no hesitation in recommending. Great food and atmosphere. Make sure you book as it is small.
Fabulous cosy French Restaurant .The menu choice was varied with a vegetarian option. All our food courses from the starters to dessert were presented with great attention to detail and tasted fantastic. Will definitely recommend this lovely restaurant to friends and will visit again if in the area on holiday .
We eat at Eleven restaurant tonight. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Good ambiance. I would recommend it as a good evening out.
The best restaurant in Leamington! The food is authentic and the service is great!
Excellent food and great service
Friendly service, beautiful food
There were 7 of us and the staff were really great. Its a small restaurant with simple decor. They have paintings on the wall that are for sale, and I really liked the colour palette the artist used. Everyone really enjoyed the food, and we all had something different. They were able to modify the menu when one of our party didnt like fennel. The soda bread and unsalted butter were seriously yummy! This place is a hidden gem at the bottom of Leamington thats been there for 22 years. I ate there when it first opened and it hasnt changed much... French cuisine cooked well! We had starters and mains only, alongside copious amounts of French wine, and had a fantastic evening. Id definitely go again.
Excellent food and great service. Relaxed atmosphere.
Just a brilliant evening, Jean Christophe was a great host and so good with our children. The meal options were great, really gave you options to think about. The food didnt disappoint when it was served either. The music in the venue was just loud enough but not so loud as to be overpowering. We are really glad we chose Eleven! Thank you for a lovely evening.
Friendly and chatty host. Food always top class.
Booked a table over 3 weeks ago with confirmation only to be left out in the rain for 30mins before the rude French owner showers up and told us that he dosnt check the booking online and it wasnt his fault. No attempt at an apology or even further attempt to get us to rebook. This would of been our 3rd visit to the restaurant within a month and to be treated like that was unbelievable. The owner was been so rude he very nearly got his lights put out by my client as he was not happy that we had to be in soaking wet cloths all day and nwasnt even offered so much as an apology let alone a hot meal. Who knows, might still happen if thats his level of customer service and etiquette. Horrible man
Loved it....
First time visiting eleven with my partner last night and we both loved it. Food was amazing and so was the service. Will definitely be returning!
Great little French bistro
A not so hidden gem of Leamington restaurants. Always great food and friendly service. Selection of wine is fantastic.
Interesting menu and the food was beautifully presented and excellent. Good choice of wines. Service was faultless. This is a small restaurant so Id recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Delicious food, exceptional flavour combinations. Quite a focused, seasonal menu which I love to see. Fantastic wine selection. Relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and very engaging host.
Had a very nice evening, The house wine was good but the food was lacking taste.
A little jewel in Leamington south town.
This is a gem of a restaurant. Small and intimate with a relaxed atmosphere, but there was space for our party of 10. We were greeted warmly and the hosts were extremely friendly and looked after us very well. The menu is small but perfectly formed, and is clearly planned with great care. The dishes we had were exquisite and beautifully presented. Look out for the chocolate mousse, it s divine! Vegetarian options: Delicious and carefully thought out vegetarian French dishes. The chive gnocchi was particularly tasty.
Absolutely beautiful food. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Wonderful food, traditional French cuisine- not fussy, just honest good food. House wine from George Duboef excellent value. Not glamorous decor, but who cares! Its what comes from the kitchen that counts! Lovely atmosphere.
My mum, sister and I (age range 40-70) had a superb evening at Eleven. The place is homely and welcoming. The staff were wonderful; patient with us trying our rusty French with them and helpful with food and wine choices. The food was sublime and we all agreed its the best meal we have had for ages; between us we had the salted beetroot, smoked duck croquettes and moules to start, steak, venison and chicken for mains and the mille feuille and creme brulee for desserts. I had the Venison and it was absolutely delicious! I cannot recommend this place enough and wish I lived closer so I can go every week! A true gem of a place.
Fantastic french food and lovely cosy atmosphere
Amazing food, simple but delicious and lovely place to hang out and eat
Excellent food and service. I only knocked a point off for atmosphere as there was a very large and noisy group in while we were there. This did not impact at all on our service or the high quality of the food.
Such a lovely authentic French restaurant. Amazing service and delicious food. There were 2 vegetarian options and a dairy/gluten free desert option. The sparking wine was delicious. I would highly recommend
Proper french food, using good quality ingredients.
Very consistent high end quality at a decent price.
Really lovely place. Love eating here.
Very friendly service and excellent wine and vegetarian food
A varied menu, warm atmosphere and great food. Good value too. Many thanks. Vegetarian options: Good choices so catering for all. Food : 5/5 |
Loved our lunch. Good menu and well prepared.
Superb restaurant. Great food, friendly service as if youre part of the family and loads of charm. The Corbieres is particularly good.
A fabulous evening, again. Never disappoints. Great food at great prices. Staff wonderful as always. Brilliant!
Extremely well cook dinners. Quality
Had a fantastic meal - what a little find this was. Recommend this wonderful bistro .
There for a work Christmas dinner. The food was superb and the owner, who is also the waiter, was so friendly and engaging. A really nice place - definitely recommended! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options were delicious.
Good reasonably priced food. Staff friendly and accommodating .
Awesome place
Great food. A little lonely.
Superb food and service you really must try this little gem
Very nice meal....will go again Highly recommended.
Friendly little French-ish restaurant, lovely food.
Owner christoff good Host good French style food..
Went all in for ocean food and was not disappointed. Mussels in a lovely stock followed by a succulent cod dish with rosti. Great food and great service.
Absolutely delicious food, and wonderful service. Must visit!

Great place, great food and friendly staff. Look forward to visiting again
Quality food in a pleasant restaurant with attentive owners.
Excellent food and service, very happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions Dietary restrictions: Very happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions at short notice
Bliss! We loved it: great host and staff, exceptional food, and also fun vibe! Wonderful evening. We shall be back soon :)) Thank you!
Another wonderful evening at eleven. Fantastic food and host. It was a long overdue visit and so pleased we did it.
The best food and ambience in the area. Amazing hosts and family run business. You wont ever be disappointed in the welcome you receive or the amazing French cuisine and wine.
A nice surprise in Leamington! A nice little French restaurant with well-prepared dishes. I particularly enjoyed the cod (Cod). Well come back :)
Great food
What an amazing little find. Had a lunch meeting there, menu was very good, went for the seared cod and was not disappointed at all. Wow. Typical French cuisine which is what I wanted. Easy 5 stars. Very well priced. Service was excellent. Will return........
NB
Yummy food. French with a modern twist. Staff lovely. Slightly chilly by the window, but otherwise definitely worth the detour. Parking: 2 hour after parking, if there is space, otherwise paid parking just across the road.
Great coffee for takeaway. I live round the corner and they were a lifesaver during lockdown.
Good service. Lovely food
Very friendly and knowledgeable Took time to explain the equipment. Very pleased with the purchase. Would recommend Murleys if you require garden equipment.
Food quality and the price both average and reasonable. Ordered a starter and most expensive main course on the menu. Soup was very average, the steak dish came with long beans, flavored cooked onion , chips. With some cream sauce on the side. Long bean was tasteless. The onion is the only thing Id loved most in the dish (sweet and tasty) is also the only thing which matches the steak , unfortunately portion too tiny. chips were very average, steak quality was just ok. Cream Sauce just didnt have much taste either. Both dishes werent tasty enough for me to finish off whole plate full. Pretty little restaurant, nice atmosphere. Service were nothing more than just putting food on table. Waiter were very shaky while bringing out dishes. Overall experience 5/10 really average.
Charming and intimate setting with excellent authentic French cuisine!
Eleven @ home was excellent. Recomend
Fab service and good food.
I went to Eleven for the first time last night and I m not sure why it s taken me so long! Great food, atmosphere and service. They even made me a separate starter that wasn t on the menu to accommodate my vegan diet and brought oil instead of butter (I always have to ask for that). I definitely recommend an evening here to support a local independent.
Extremely welcoming staff and the food was delicious. The place is really chique and warm. Would gladly return
Smashing. There for lunch today with my grown up children. Delicious food and excellent service.
Fantastic food and ambience. Look forward to going again.
Absolutely beautiful place, the service was outstanding, warming and friendly. The food was a treat, from starters to dessert. Couldnt recommend it highly enough, shame we dont live closer or we would be regulars. Merci!!
Food delicious, wine really good as well. Staff members very friendly and accomodating. All courses very tasty and the owner very engaging. Try it, you wont be disappointed.
Had a confirmed booking. Arrived at restaurant to be told that they had phoned me 3 times to say I didn t have a booking. But I had a confirmed booking. The owner said it is an automatic booking system. What is the point of that. Spoilt our evening. Beware of these booking systems and do not trust them.
Best breakfast had in a long time,
First time and excellent. My son and daughter frequent this french bistro but as said it was the first time fou my wife and I and our two friends. Excellent menu and choices of wine. Best bit if advice from my son when choose the confit of duck and cassoulet do not attempt starter or dessert. He was absolutely right. Others had bavetter steak etc. Do yourself a favour and if in Leamington Spa definately visit this charming bistro and its wonderful and knowledgeable staff.
All selections we had from the menu were tasty but not amazing. Sauce with the beef bourguignon was very water.. Would try other places in town on next visit. Very friendly tho..
Had a great evening her. Good food and lovely atmosphere. If you want, you can even practice your French with the owner!
Always very friendly service and a great fixed price menu (Tuesday-Thursday). Been a few times over the last few years and always had a lovely meal. Its great to support independent restaurants like this- definitely worth a visit!
Ive been coming here for many years, a small restaurant that always feels personal. Weekday special is excellently priced. Good food and wine (all french of course) and Jean-Christophe is a very nice chap!
Delicious authentic food and good service. More could possibly be done to create a cosier environment in the restaurant. Though a definite treat for my birthday.
We had an okay meal of escargot, soup, duck confit and steak and dont plan a revisit.
Nice bistro style restaurant run by a French man. Food is resonably priced and genuinely French in style, presentation and taste. Simple clean decor suits the authentic atmosphere. Staff very attentive and welcoming. Definitely wore trying.
We really enjoyed our saturday evening dinner. The food was good, rather than pretentious, as was the service. Refreshing to go somewhere that get the balance right. Decor is simple but comfortable. Its ten years since we last eat here but well be going again soon!
Good
The food is so genuinely French and of exquisite quality. Reminds me of my childhood (I am French).
Had a fantastic 3 course leisurely lunch as a family here today. used Eat Out Scheme but would have been happy with the full price, as the quality was so good. Authentic delicious food. Relaxed atmosphere - (well spaced out and waiting staff with masks for Covid security) Smallish menu - but would have happily plumped for most items from it! 9 year old put away theirs very cheerfully which always helps. Not rushed - but attentive service. Clean facilities. All in all top marks and we will definitely be back!
Wonderful family run French restaurant - not only is their food delicious, their hospitality is second to none too. I come here a lot with my family and it never disappoints - I have also recently tried some of their new takeaway deli food which they started offering due to the pandemic and it was also brilliant! Highly recommend if you want a meal out or in
Excellent food as always
Delicious food, good service, and covid precautions in place
Superb
Excellent French cuisine, good wine, friendly French boss
Attentive service. Amazing French food- would definitely recommend a visit.
This place is awesome! The service was very good and the food is sensational. Jump at it if you get the chance to go!
Very nice place staff are very helpful and friendly.nice seating.very clean.
My absolute favourite French restaurant in or around Leamington and Warwick! I ordered scallops from the specials menu and conard a lorange also from the specials menu, and my partner had escargot and Hake, all four things were flaming fantastic! scallops and duck were cooked perfectly (and yes I was asked how I liked my duck) the flavours in the sauces were really punchy the Hake particularly was... well I had a little food envy even though my duck was lovely! on previous visits I have had their cheese souffle which is also worth a mention as its light and fluffy, tastes fantastic an melts in the mouth!
Amazing place to eat!!
Beautiful place, Beautiful food , Beautiful people.
Really well conceived and well cooked food. A nice place to be.
Excellent place with high quality food, a real traditional French gem.
Lovely atmosphere. Superb French food.
Fantastic find. Went here with some friends for dinner on Saturday. Staff were really helpful and attentive. Food was amazing. Would definitely recommend
Great food, super service
Great culinary experience, well worth it!
Absolutely great. A must try. French cousin is so tasty, perfectly mastered in this restaurant!
Excellent food, great wine list and one of the best dessert selections Ive seen. Not the cheapest restaurant in town but worth every penny.
Cosy restaurant with highly attentive staff and an excellent wine list. With its well cooked, homely food, it makes a very welcome alternative to soulless chain restaurants!
Warm welcome, excellent and original dishes. I recommend ++!
Good food and service.
Eleven has been part of the locality for a long time and never fails to please Decent French menu with tasty specials and good service Good wine list too
Always a nice time spent in eleven and food always super tasty
Myself and my husband came here for a Valentines night meal. We had the most amazing evening. The food was so varied and delicious that we couldnt decide on one starter each, so we shared three. The main course and desert were equally as good. I can highly recommend the French sparkling wine instead of champagne. The owner and staff were charming and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
We had a lovely meal cooked and seasoned to perfection a great place.
Great personal service, amazing food, cant praise highly enough. A true independent gem
Nice little restaurant with an uncomplicated authentic menu
Great food and reasonably priced.
A Leamington gem. Excellent value for money fixed price menu. Great food and friendly service.
I love this restaurant. The food is always wonderful, the host friendly and welcoming, and the wine very good and reasonably priced. We go as often as we can, and have no idea why its not busier. There is a fixed price menu on weeknights where the food is every bit as good as from the a la carte menu. Overall the place is excellent value for money, real food made from fresh ingredients, and the chefs attention to detail really makes the difference. Eleven is my favourite place to eat in Leamington. I recommend the duck a lorange when its available, its the loveliest thing Ive ever eaten.
Lovely
As always we had a fabulous night. The food was delicious (scallops followed by steak and soufle followed by lamb) and perfectly cooked. The service was attentive but not overwhelming and the atmosphere was just right - like a bustling French restaurant. Added bonus: Im currently struggling with all sorts of dietary requirements and the kitchen were still able to make me an excellent meal. Merci!
Nice dinner with very friendly staff. And the fixed price menu was a good value.
Delicious french cuisine. Very relaxed and friendly. Very enjoyable.
Superb food, friendly helpful staff and lovely ambience!
This is my favourite restaurant in Leamington. The food is always fantastic, the service is friendly and relaxed. It is the perfect French restaurant. Take anyone you know and youll love it. During the week they have a cheaper fixed price menu. But at weekends it gets very busy, so make sure you book
Amazing food. Wonderful place
Wonderful service
Excellent food, very friendly and attentive service.
Outstanding. This little restaurant is just fabulous. The food, ambiance and service are all outstanding. The wine is also excellent. If you havent been, youre missing out.
Had a fantastic dinner here. The scallops starter was absolutely incredible, very impressive. The wine list was comprehensive and well priced. Mains and dessert were very good. Was really lovely to have dessert wine also offered, it was a fantastic end to a thoroughly delicious dinner.
Cosy restaurant with friendly staff and good food
Genuine French food and little extras which are the norm in France. Delicious, reliable and very good value.
Very tasty! Kind waitress and nice music.
Had escargot, rack of lamb. Excellent. Tart tatin also excellent I am told.
Good solid option for French food. A bit expensive if you go a la carte but the set menu with 3 courses for £16.50 is a veritable bargain. The tart tatin for dessert was absolutely excellent!
Lovely French food and helpful attentive staff. Excellent wine options, beautiful cheese soufflé to start and perfectly cooked meringue for dessert were highlights.
Excellent French inspired restaurant using the best locally sourced ingredients. Friendly, knowledgeable owner with great pairing advice if needed. Consistently fine food and great service.
A gem! Beautiful French food, wine and service.
One of the best restaurants I have tried in Leamington. Not too expensive for the quality of the food, definitely worth it.
Absolutely great night - lovely food, really nice service and excellent value - we were on the fixed menu. Couldnt have asked for a better restaurant for a midweek date.
An excellent small French restaurant in the old town. Food and wine are unpretentious but excellent and the service is just right., attentive but unobtrusive.
Seriously good food and really friendly service
