Hand-carved teak furniture and tropical plants adorn this family-run eatery for classic Thai dishes.
Wonderful restaurant, great food, excellent service. Loved the whole evening, thank you 😎
Loved the food and ambience. However, it's a bit pricey for the quantity.
I haven't been to the Thai elephant in years ! But what a lovely rediscovery! The service was really good , the food was tasty. We tried both banquet menus for the 4 of us , and we all enjoyed it. The food isn't too spicy, and the portions are correct. Will definitely come back.
Been several times and always have the chicken spring rolls and pad Thai with chicken and prawns, can’t fault it. On going with others they’ve had a variety of dishes and really enjoyed them. Beautiful setting as well, unique and lovely. Friendly staff. A little pricey would be my only criticism
Delicious food, a cosy and authentic atmosphere and excellent service! We would definitely come back here again - the staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was very rich and tasty! It is, however, a bit expensive - mains cost around £16 (and you have to order sundries like rice separately, for an additional £5), and starters are around £12.
Although we did not have reservation, the restaurant still tried very hard to provide a table for us, nice. Location was easy to find, although packing was a bit difficult to find. Restaurant was very traditional Thai style renovation, you could feel. The restaurant people was very nice and helpful although it was busy for them since the restaurant was full. Food was excellent and value for money, enjoyable. I'll definitely go again with my family.
This has to be the BEST THAI RESTAURANT I’ve ever had in my life! Authentic Thai food for certain, not a single dish is disappointing, every dishes we had so far for classic Thai food are all BRILLIANT! I’m an extremely picky person on food, and even the Pad Thai noodle I ordered had wok hei! Respect! Atmosphere no doubt brilliant as shown on the photos, service is also amazing! We asked for recommendations and the waiters have been very honest, not to mention the food are incredible. Absolutely in love with this restaurant, will totally come back with family and friends!
In short I would say it's one of, if not the best place in Leamington Spa for an incredible Gluten-free meal and dining experience. The Thai elephant is one of the places I've been meaning to go to for ages and I'm kicking myself now for not going in sooner. It looks amazing even from the outside but wow, it's absolutely stunning inside, especially if you have an appreciation for fine woodwork/ furniture making. Of corse i did not go in to just to look at the decor but it's definitely mention worthy. We went in for lunch yesterday, I asked at the front if they catered for allergies as i have a few and need to be especially careful to avoid gluten (inc cross contamination). They were so helpful, they looked through the menu and checked with the kitchen and told me i had quite a few options so we took a seat. There were quite a few options, more than I had even hoped for so to make things easier we had a look at the lunchtime set menu specials and again i wasn't disappointed with gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. The satay starters were so deliciously moreish, beautifully marinated succulent skewers of creamy peanutty heaven cooked to perfection, I could easily of eaten them a few times over. For a starter of a set menu (under £15 for 2 corses), it was fantastic and a decent portion. For mains we had the sweet and sour chicken and the Thai green curry, both came with a bowl of steamed rice. They were both simply delicious. Now I do love sweet and sour in most of it's glorious forms so this was an easy choice for me and again it didn't disappoint. It had everything you'd expect, very flavoursome but also very light and delicate. I think it's great that they served our food in the middle of the table as it was easier to try both dishes and I'm so happy i did. The Thai green curry was incredibly delicious, deep, rich, fresh, light, aromatic and creamy with a pleasant amount of spiciness. Again very moreish and decent portion sizes. We finished everything and left feeling happy and satiated. There was no service charge added to the bill, though prosecco and I did leave a nice, well deserved tip. From the moment we stepped in there the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The music is mellow, the atmosphere is lovely, it's clean and well kept and has lots of lovely plants that must take some looking after. It seems really well run, even the little touches like the plates were warm and the glasses were chilled are very much appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about dining at the Thai elephant and will most definitely and unsurprisingly, be returning.
Beautiful restaurant, wonderful staff, and food just phenomenal!! Great consistency and everytime is just divine!
Beautiful Thai food atmosphere is lovely especially if you get a window seat in the nuk! Great staff and vegetarian options are amazing to. Definitely be back
Never fails to deliver ! Beautiful food. Lovely family owned restaurant. Too much to eat as usual. Thank you again.
Fantastic Thai restaurant in Leamington, with delicious food and great service.
Tasty authentic Thai food, well served by attentive staff. The decor , plants and furnishings are fabulous . The lunch set menu is very good value for money
nice place but 4.5 pounds for a bowl of white rice felt diabolical. green curry with rice was 18.5 pounds
Absolutely perfect. From the moment we opened the and walked in to when we left.
Thanks for the calm atmosphere! The food was very tasty, the service was pleasant and the recommended park to visit was fabulous.
Before I start I must say Thai Elephant is one of my top three favourite places to eat but sadly as it seems to be with several other restaurants nowadays the standards are slipping. I ordered a takeaway banquet meal for two the rice was cold and portion size reduced the starters were luke warm and there was only one prawn and one piece of squid in two of the dishes ordered plenty of chicken but it was rubbery and the overall usual flavour and high level of cooking and care has definitely fallen. This is the first poor meal we ve had it was very underwhelming and disappointing but it seems to have coincided with the price hike on everything in England since we can out of lockdown. Imo when it comes to food and especially when you are paying for it the standards must be kept. Sadly I cannot justify spending my hard earned money there again.
The one time I ate here I found the food okay, but very far from the best Thai food I had had. The second time I made a reservation and explicitly asked for a nice table as it was a birthday celebration. When we arrived for dinner, all tables were taken in spite of my name in the reservation book. Then they promised us a special table in a few minutes. It turned out to be a table in the basement, in an area that used to be the coal repository, with the ceiling so low that it was impossible to stand. We refused. Imagine the birthday. There are at least three amazing restaurants within 20 m of this place. Just go there.
Equisite atmosphere, exquisite food. Even without a reservation, they graciously accomodated me. Cant recommend enough.
Great food and lovely, attentive service.
The first and only time, the food was small, the price was very expensive, and the taste was average. Not impressed with the service
Best restaurant in town
Excellent food, quick and really friendly service!
Had the giant thai river prawns and coconut rice and I really enjoyed them, wanted something different for dinner and had a bad meal at sabai sabai a few weeks before so was very happy to get a more authentic Thai meal, served by a lovely hostess, everything you want when you leat out at a restaurant
Very nice family run restaurant.
An excellent Thai restaurant with a top level service. Decorated in a Thai manner, this restaurant serves typical dishes, full of flavors, that reminded me my trip to Thailand.
great experience of delicious Thai food. excellent service.
Quaint and lovely spot. Loved the wood carvings throughout. Food was excellent and very fast receipt upon ordering!
really nice thai place, enjoyed the food
Amazing Thai food in the centre of Leamington Spa!
We turned up without a booking and a table was found. Great food. Great service. Would definitely go again.
Sadly my favourite and the most authentic Thai restaurant is no longer open so I came to the Thai elephant, I had heard bad reviews but thought I d try it for myself. Wish I had saved the £100 and bought a Thai ready meal from the supermarket. Where s the Thai food?? Starting with spring rolls, really disappointing taste like value spring rolls cooked in dirty oil, radish flower decorations looked like seem better days and obviously been out on many dishes previously. I ve never had Tom yum with zero chilli?? taste was so bland. Then came Green curry water again no heat of chilli very bland. Terrible don t waste your money!
Lovely authentic food
The best Thai in town. Been here couple of times, always high quality hearty food and a relaxing atmosphere. Food
Amazing place ,delicious food. I had a drunken duck... Highly recommended.
Excellent choice of fresh dishes, and value for money. All enjoyed in wonderfully detailed and immaculate premises.
Would have been 10/10. The attendant was accommodating and nice. Restaurant is cozy. Their food is delish (pad thai and fried rice and Larb. However, pork larb that was served to me (take out) seemed like the meat had gone bad already. Some parts of it had the distinct smell and taste. I hope they check before serving next time!
Thai food was ok but very very expensive and £8 for a bottle of singha beer! ..
Rare date night with the wife and we came here because wed heard how good it was. Not disappointed, the food was excellent. Lots of choice and when it came out it was fresh with great flavours. Service from welcome at door all the way through was excellent. Only criticism is all the pictures in the menu felt a little Costa del sol somehow but that aside the surroundings and atmosphere was very pleasant.
Lovely ambience, excellent service and vegeterian food was good.
This is our favourite restaurant and we tend to go here on special occasions. Feb 14th we were rushed in and out, the food nowhere near its normal standard and had obviously been microwaved as hotter than lava. The mussels were brown, they fell apart and inedible. Really disappointed as it s normally very, very good. We went for a valentines meal and were in and out within 40 minutes. We are going to avoid in the future due to this experience and find somewhere else.
Delicious, especially the main courses, they were exceptional. Would thoroughly recommend.
Had a nice meal there today. Got the hot and spicy set menu. Id say the beef was a decent bit spicy but otherwise most the meals not too spicy at all (for better or worse). Food was tasty though. Good service keep the water topped up. Not the cheapest but did enjoy the meal.
Beautiful food , staff very good & quick with drinks nothing too much trouble for them . we went for grandsons 8th birthday & they even put a candle in his dessert which was a lovely gesture .
Nice place...Nice food...very expensive.
Lovely food. Just happened to go on a quiet night. Would go again. Food
Excellent food - satay starter chicken nicely cooked with tasty sauce .Main courses likewise very tasty and sufficient.Friendly service in attractive surroundings
I went there for dinner last week. The first impression was really good, with impressive decoration and really good attention to detail by the staff. Once the atmosphere is set up, the food was really good, hard to choose from the varied menu. The waitress was very helpful with suggestions. The food was served with some bases to keep it warm, helping to enjoy at your own pace. The quality of it was great, even the rice on its own was really good. The only small drawback I found was that the dishes were a little scarce in its protein amount (chicken/beef). We spent just under £20 per person but with only mains and no drinks. I look forward to go again. Parking: Street roadside parking just outside, and a few car parks in the surroundings.
Very nice.
Lovely restaurant, attentive friendly staff, and delicious food .
We came here as a group, and everyone was very pleased with the food. First of all, the food arrived very quickly. They had a big selection of Thai food that was suitable for everyone, including vegan options. They also offer a few Thai drink choices, I tried the lager which was good and it arrived ice cold, just the way I prefer. If I remember the name correctly, I ordered Neua Gata, which was delicious. And I really enjoyed the presentation of the food, when it arrived they bring it in a way that it remains hot even sizzling a bit. I definitely recommend this place.
Categorically some of the best thai food ive ever eaten. Highly recommended.
Best Thai Ive had in the Midlands. Really enjoyed their spicy Northern dishes. Very clean and great service.
Excellent food and service, great ambience. We had a mini buffet for 2 persons and it was amazing
Food is nice but waiting time way too long from starter and main.
Nice restaurant only been in nce there, unfortunatelly Thai food wasnt to my taste
Delicious food, great service & quirky features in the restaurant
Excellent place with stunning decor, and the food is of a high standard. Service was prompt. The prices are a bit steep, but you get what you pay for.
Awesome food, friendly staff, perfect
Good food, excellent service, friendly staff, nicely decorated place, totally recommend it.
Some of the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. I cant recommend this place enough. If you eat chicken, youre in luck. Gai Yang and Southern Thai Chicken are some of my favourite dishes. The decor makes the experience so much better. The service is great and I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this place.
The one of the best places for Thai food lovers in Leamington spa
Been a couple of times now. Great food and atmosphere.
Food was alright, wasnt great compared to the high prices charges and relative to other Thai restaurants in Leamington, wasnt value for money
We happened to find this place on April 20 and had dinner. Quite simply - the most impressive meal I have eaten in years and excellent service!!! The location is central and the interior is engaging with numerous wood carvings - even at every table. The service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. But the real star was the food. It came quickly and piping hot. We had a duck appetizer and two curry dishes with rice. The food was kept hot on candle warmers which was a real treat. And the food itself was tasty with complex flavours and texture. This is not a Michelin restaurant - but it was a great evening and it was value for the money we paid - would be back often if we lived in the area.
Tasty
Best Thai meal in years with great service.
Taste like vinegar tooooooooooooo sour and too expensive, pad kra prow with beef the taste it salty and bamboo was sour, Tom yum taste like lemon, duck with tamarind sweet sauce taste like tamarind no sweet at all toooooo sour, 1/10 I can t believe why the chef let food come out of the kitchen, waste money!
Very nice. Loved the decor
we had a family meal here and loved it. the smells, the decor, the food, the service - all made for a great evening.
Had an excellent experience here. Definitely the best Thai food out of the wide selection in Leamington and Warwick. We had the tempura vegetables, red curry with prawns and pad Thai. The vegetables werent oily and retained their freshness, the prawns in the curry were cooked perfectly in a lovely creamy red curry and the pad Thai was cooked perfectly - flash fried. Staff were nice and authentic. The restaurant was probably a bit intense for me but it was otherwise a calming atmosphere.
Best Thai in town. The staff here are wonderful. The food is phenomenal. (Lamb shank massaman is really good)
Very good
Great authentic restaurant
Excellent as always Some of the best Thai food outside of Thailand x
Lovely place! Pepper and salt squid is definitely starter! Green curry is really delicious.
Just went there for lunch set £14 two dishes very yummy and sweet! Very tasty!
Hmmm...looks better than the food tastes or what the service is, considering we were offered desserts half way through our mains. The food wasnt of a good quality, I will not be returning or recommending.
A fabulous Thai restaurant, one of the best I ve been to! Lovely food, such nice staff and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend going, the sweet & sour chicken is fantastic!
Nice Thai restaurant.. reasonable food and service and prices arent too expensive
Amazing food and ambiance. Will visit again.
Nice place but vastly overpriced. Beer super expensive. Starter small . Main course well expensive for such a small portion. Vegetarian options: Poor
Very traditional, the food was not bad but we went to the giggly squid Thai restaurant the night before which was better value and we thought better food.
We really enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent
Great atmospheric place, great food, I recommend it
I ate here last Sunday evening with my wife and we were both delighted to have chosen to eat here during a visit to the town. I made a booking after looking at the premises from outside and walking inside where dividing the room into the small individual areas makes a lovely setting. We were absolutely delighted by the service and our 4 chosen dishes, 2 starters and 2 main courses (we also had rice). The bill was £93 before service and included a good bottle of Rioja. There was some takeaway service which was evident from our table and on a busy night it might be better to sit away from the cash desk. I d love to come here again.
Such a disappointing experience. Lovely place it really is but service takes an eternity and food is OK nothing more. Ordered a Thai green I have had better tasting pot noodles.
Delicious food served by friendly and helpful staff. The vegetarian banquet for two was just gorgeous
Fantastic, attentive service. Delicious food - delicate flavours and high quality all around. Consistently good on every visit. Lovely relaxed, yet friendly atmosphere.
Really good environment, well-decorated, making you feel like dining in Thailand forest. Service is also good, waiters and waitresses are all attentive However, the portion is extremely small considering the price, we two spent £100 but still not full
Excellent Thai restaurant. We attended as a large group of 20+ for a family reunion. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food is delicious. I would particularly recommend the lamb massaman. I would certainly revisit again if I return to Leamington Spa.
Late Oct 23- busy place for a wet Sat night and can see why. Staff friendly and helpful and answer questions on menu, able to provide vegan choices too. No hesitation. The ornate wooden carving and decor is amazing. Curries might look alike but taste different! Only issue we had was asking for no chicken in noodles and finding theyd left it in- they replaced the dish immediately - despite when server places food on table she repeated it had no chiken. Crispiest batter on banana fritter! Great vibe. Tasty food. Friendly staff. Paid £20 ph, mains and shared starter x2, 3 alcoholic and water drinks.
Lovely food and very interesting seating areas. Service was very friendly and efficient
Lovely food served by nice people in very pleasant surroundings
Fabulous food staff were amazing customer care top rate beautiful restaurant too that is why we scored 5 stars Thankyou
Delicious and authentic Thai Food. The staff and decor were amazing as well! Definitely must try their Thai Fish Cakes, spring rolls, seabass, and tamarind duck.
Its a great atmosphere here. The decor is really something. However, for the prices these guys are charging, the food doesnt quite cut it for me. The portion sizes are also small so you feel a bit hard done by when the bill comes. I ordered a pad Thai but it was a few mouthfuls of food and for close to 15 quid, it seems a bit stingy. There were more bean sprouts than noodles and I couldnt see the peanut garnish which youd expect with this dish. Instead, they give you a very nicely presented salad garnish but it wasnt dressed, and looked and tasted like it had been prepped well in advance; dry and flavourless. I was also shocked to see that the two beers I ordered (think this would be a cheaper option to wine) came to £16. The waitresses though were lovely, very attentive and accommodating. However, I sadly wont return because I know of a few other Thai places in the area that do a better job for a more reasonable price.
Great experience. They were able to accommodate us even though they were busy and we were just walk ins. Food is delicious and authentic. The chicken and beef is halal which was an added bonus. Thank you for the hospitality!
Good place. Excellent service. Would recommend.
Dishes are expensive and small, around £13-£20 per dish! The food is ok, but nothing special unfortunately. Staff are friendly though. (I lived in Thailand for 8 years, so I know how it would have tasted)
One of our favorite restaurants! I love the green curry. Food is exceptional, staff are friendly and helpful and the décor is delightful. real carved wood for the tables. This picture was from my mothers 100th birthday! She loved The Thai Elephant and lived next door at Carlton house for many years so any opportunity we had, wed go to the Thai Elephant.
Really lovely authentic restaurant. Food took a while to arrive but they were extremely busy and we were given free popadums as an apology. Couldnt fault the food it was very tasty and presented well .
Love this place. The food was excellent, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful restaurants interior. The staff were polite and friendly.
excellent food - also the restaurant offers a number of sharing menus (minimum 2 people) where they basically just bring you loads of tasty food - I dont know much about Thai food so this saved me the uncertainty of ordering things I wasnt sure about. My friend and I ate lots, and had a few drinks - total came to £70 ish. Not cheap, but great service, wonderful surroundings - great value
Wow. This was our first time for dinner here. The food was delicious. Excellent quality, intimate, low-key setting and the service was impeccable. We LOVED it and can t wait to go back. Thank you.
Great place to eat in Leamington Spa. One of the best Thai places Ive eaten
Lovely service, authentic decor and amazing food
I love Thai food. But this restaurant is rather disappointing. The food was tasteless. Small overpriced dishes. Garnish looked at least day old. But worse part were overpriced river prawns which gave me food poisoning!
This is a fabulous restaurant. There is so much choice on the menu and everything is delicious. Theres a great atmosphere too, soft relaxing music and beautiful decor. Even the chairs and tables are works of art. The staff are attentive and (if anything overly) polite. Highly recommended but just be prepared to allow a long time to choose from the menu.
This place is ok. I think the menu is overly complicated with way too many options. That always concerns me because quality can suffer when there are so many things to prep. Good side was the spring rolls seemed home made, flavours were good, portion sizes too. Service friendly as youd expect from the Thai people. I had maziman Curry with Pad Thai which was pleasant enough.
Very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. The decor was almost like a themed restaurant, making the evening feel like an event. The satay was really nice and well cooked... Not dry at all. The food wasnt as spicy as I would like from a Thai restaurant, but was very tasty, hence the 5 stars. If you are in Leamington Spa, do give this restaurant a try... I dont think you will be disappointed.
The food is the taste of Thai. Nice decoration, I feel like I am in Thailand, and I can practice Thai language with all the staff. excellent service and environment.
Best Thai in Leamington , beautiful Thai green curry and pad Thai ,not the cheapest but well worth it ,the decor ,ambience staff and food all fabulous ,well done
This restaurant is incredible. Everyone needs to visit for lunch just for the incredible decor. The food was also fantastic and very well presented with very nicely cut veg The staff were always willing to be available to assist and answer any questions, including customs if you wish to dine as a Thai. I could spend hours just looking over the tables and wall carvings. All hand done in Thailand. Prices for lunch were very reasonable.
I was looking forward to eating here but was really disappointed. No culinary flair, no passion, just like eating a supermarket ready meal. The only positive was the Thai white wine which was really rather nice. Wont be back and dont recommend
Basic uninspired food. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like a packet version. Dessert was some kind of sponge with broken pieces of crunchy on the top. Way over priced second rate Thai food. Only saving grace was the wine. Wont be returning.
The interior of this restaurant is amazing and so is the service! The food is a little on the pricier side but definitely worth is as the flavours and choice of dishes are different to what you d find in every other Thai restaurant.
Tom yum soup was nice but rest of the food was meh. Had better elsewhere. Plus disappointed that they didnt give NHS discount. Nice interior design though!
Such friendly service and amazing food. Most authentic Thai in the area.
Delicious Thai food to Thai taste Cooked by a real Thai chef named Chef Daeng (Chef Chaiwat). The waitstaff are also Thai. Good service. The restaurant is decorated with Thai food.
Have been coming here on and off for years, amazing in every way, throughly recommend!
Excellent food and wonderful service.
We had been there couple of times with family including young kids. The food is great and the staff is very friendly, very attentive. If you want a quiet room, especially if you have a young kid. There are some alcove rooms downstairs that are just perfect. We sat in one last time and it was great for our 5 year old so she could have her own space, do her drawings peacefully. We had a great time, and the food was so tasty very well presented. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: They are great with kids. They are some alcove rooms downstairs that are perfect if you have young kids so you dont bother the other customers and your kids will appreciate having their own space.
Great Authentic Thai food served by the most lovely people. Fantastic decor. Felt like we were on a mini holiday in Thailand. Thankyou. We will visit again soon.
Its very nice from the outside.
Lovely restaurant, interesting decor, amazing food such good quality and flavours, very friendly and attentive staff. Vegetarian options: Excellent range of vegetarian dishes, the spring rolls were delicious!
Good night had by all
As always wonderful food! However the buffet options have shrunk in size to the point where customers no longer leave full. Rice is still cheap so why only one spoon full to complement options? The Thai green curry has more sauce than meat which is a let down and the starter platter used to have crab cakes and wrapped prawns but no more. Drinks are very very expensive too. For two four drinks including two soft drinks came up to £30 approximately. A bit of a rip off. Still a beautiful restaurant though and the taste undeniably delicious.
Best decoration ever seen in the UK, loads of hand crafted wood and tropical plants. Nice food but little bit small portion.
Excellent food, good beer (Singha), friendly staff and reasonable value for money. Highly recommended.
I took my bank manager for lunch there yesterday after having eaten there many times and being very happy with the staff and food. Surprisingly, the waiter was quite rude but more than that the portions of food were so tiny! Lunch fir 2 of starters, mains and bottles of water cost £75!
Visited this restaurant on a Saturday night for dinner. The wait for our food was over 1 hour, and when we asked how long it would be, the waitress just said she doesnt have a clue and that various tables are waiting for their food - which was quite rude especially as we were a big group and were patiently waiting for atleast over an hour. When we said that we did not want to wait longer and were happy to leave, they bought our food in about 10 mins. The food generally was average, and overall, it was a not the best of experience.
Absolutely phenomenal. Lots of options including for vegans, happy to go out of their way to meet dietary requirements. couldnt speak more highly of the staff who are extremely friendly, keep the restaurant clean and welcoming. The food is very flavoursome and presented perfectly. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. The menu is about 5 pages with a number of vegetarian and vegan options Dietary restrictions: Happy to cater for people with different dietary requirementd
There seems to be a Thai-style temple built inside the restaurant. The decorated structure looks very attractive. We liked everything we ordered, especially the lemon sea bass.
First time here. Been meaning to come for a while! Huge menu with plenty of authentic dishes from all over Thailand. The Thai mixed starter was very good all round. Really enjoyed the Gai hor Bai teay. Girlfriend had the massaman which they kindly left the crushed nuts off for her. I had the moo yang. Both were very tasty. All of the staff were very friendly will definitely be back.
Have been visiting the Thai Elephant for over 20 years and have always had great food and service, today our lunch visit was no exception. By far the best Thai restaurant we have visited. A little bit of Thailand in Leamington Spa. Thank you.
A bit pricey but I really enjoyed my starter the Thai Salad. Atmosphere and service were great.
A lovely meal out with friends - friendly polite attentive start, great food, beautiful decor... we were lost in catch up conversation, not realising we stayed 30mins last closing, they didn t say a word. Will definitely be going back
Nice and quiet when we went on this evening... Great service. Sure to return
This place is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere makes you feel like you are actually in Thailand. The food is so delicious, one of the best food Ive ever tried. All the flavours are just perfect. The staff is very good and lovely. Overall fantastic place!!!
Delicious food, very welcoming staff nice Thai atmosphere.
Cant praise the service and food enough. The genuine real deal.
A lovely place to get a good meal. Well be going back
Beautiful and good customer service. I like it. Fantastic food .
Excellent meal with excellent service
I have been here several times, everytime i came here really delicious and satisfied me!
Great ambiance and service very friendly staff. Food is also good tasting however pricey and portion size is v small.Rice and noodles not served with dishes and need to be ordered separate with each curry.
The most authentic Thai I ve been in the UK - not westernised which is good Atmosphere and presentation is top class Also gave us a huge discount for takeaway (during lockdown) Can t find river prawns anywhere else
With authentic Thai food and ingredients sourced directly from Thailand, Thai Elephant never fails to impress. The ambience and setting with wooden carving furniture gives you the traditional vibe of a classic Thai restaurant. The happily smiling staff liven up the atmosphere and the food kicks the ball out of the park! Papaya salad, corn cakes, Tom Yum or Tom Kha Soups, Green curry, Red Curry, Massaman Curry, Jungle curry, Jasmine Rice, Fried Rice, Sticky Rice and Pad Thai - whats not to like. And thats only fraction of the menu I have covered. Vegetarian or a meat eater this place will deliver equally flavourful and fragrant food to suit your preference. And if youre not afraid of trying the Thai level of heat, ask them to make it Thai spicy and find out what youre made of! Even with the burn, the flavours are guaranteed, leaving you wanting more, everytime! Recommend!
Arrived fairly late for dinner and they were really accommodating. Som Tum (papaya salad) and a couple of curries and rice .... absolutely delicious! Would recommend anything on the menu, to everyone! Authentic flavours, in a really lovely authentic setting. The carved detail on the chairs and the tables are not to be missed! 5*
A gorgeous restaurant. Great interior and creates a great atmosphere. All the staff are so lovely and the food is out of this world ! Would recommend every time and I travel a fair way to eat there. So worth it! Papaya salad a must, but all of their dishes are quality. The rice is always done to perfection too !
Went yesterday for lunch. Have not been for a long time. Starters lovely fishcakes & spring rolls. Husband had his beloved Tom Yam Soup in a steamboat with giant prawns - he loved it. I had a chicken dish with vehetables and csshew nuts + steamed rice. All in all a lovely experience.
Super environment and food
As with most restaurants the alcohol was VERY expensive but the food and the service is fabulous. Had a fantastic night out with friends.
Lovely food in comfortable surroundings served by friendly staff
food was so good and service was excellent! price was a little pricey (at least for us students). the toilets were really clean and they even had a coat rack. recommend the grilled chicken, monkfish and souther thai chicken curry, tom yam (can t remember exact names of the dishes sorry). but to be honest, everything was delicious :)
Great exspenvise
Tasty thai food and nice ambience
Delightful private room! and excellent food
Oh dear what can I say. Totally dumbed down poor quality menu with food that has no flavour, aroma or style. The garnishes were at best second hand but probably a day old. The food lacked everything you would expect from a thai restaurant. This chain used to be top notch but has now completely lost any quality in its cooking or atmosphere.
Nice service and pad thai with a different twist.
Average at best.
Food was ok but not great, nice setting and prices about right. Staff not overly friendly and felt a bit rushed, better thai options nearby
Reliably excellent Thai food. Delicious!
Very disappointed with this restaurant food. Tasteless food, small portions, overpriced too. Felt sick in my stomach when I left restaurant. I even had to change my main sea bass dish as it was deep fried which I didnt expect and also very dry. My replacement sea bass which was grilled even tasted slightly gone off. I wont be back.
Very friendly food eccelenta staff
Very tasty food.. slightly on the expensive side.. but brilliant restaurant.. ambience is beautiful.. the art is what makes u speak about the restaurant as well.. dont miss to see the carvings everywhere..
Really nice place, a little more upmarket than some restaurants polite staff love the authentic feel in here. The food was priced about £25/30 per head thats starter and main, good portions, flavourful and colourful
Great tasting Thai food in a finely decorated setting. Would be better if portions were larger.
Excellent food
Only eaten there three times over a few years, but the good is consistently very good
Not good value for money, felt service was rushed. Portions of food were small for the price.
Beautiful location, very characteristic, courteous staff. The Massaman with chicken is very good. Average prices.
Small gathering. Celebrated a friends 40th. They were quite accommodating. Food was great all around! Thanks @thaielephant we had a great time.
Very different to your usual.
Delicious!
We were so lucky to get a table, super authentic restaurant, great food! Staff were lovely too . Recommend a visit
Best Thai Restaurant in the world ! Honestly i came here as my fiance wanted to try some other places and i was like meh . Honestly, it s the best thai experience i ever had ! Everything was 11 out of 10. The staff were amazing and don t get me started on the food : the crispy duck , thai chicken curry and melon with sticky rice have been our favorites. Please try this out and you won t be disappointed . I rarely bother to leave any reviews but once again: wow !!!
After a bit of a kerfuffle at the start due to not allocating our reservation correctly, the rest of the experience was overwhelmingly great. We went during the eat out to help out scheme and were simply blown away by the quality and flavours of the food. Everything was cooked to perfection - we can t wait to go again!
Lovely food and great service as always
The best Thai food Ive ever had!
Booked a table at the Thai Elephant having read such great reviews and they were taking part in the Eat out to help out campaign as an added bonus! The restaurant was decorated in a tradition Thai style which now looks a little tired and rather cluttered in parts giving a rather cramped feel. The service we received upon entering was friendly and overall attentive. The food however was a let down. Starters the scallops & fishcakes starter both arrived in a measly portion of three each. The fishcakes were tasty and as expected but I wouldnt recommend the scallops as it was lacking in flavour. The chilli Squid main was also lacking in flavour which was very disappointing. Overall I found the dishes very average in taste but overly priced with starters averaging £9 and our mains at £17. Even with the added 50% discount the bill came as a surprise. In comparison to the many Thai restaurants in London I would say the price point doesnt reflect in the dishes and for that reason I would never return nor recommend.
Our favourite thai restaurant in Leamington Spa! Service is always attentive and the food is always delicious. Also, they make the best coconut rice ever!
Beautiful food and wonderful service.
Tasty food and great service
Marvellous
My favourite restaurant with the best customer service
Simply delicious, plenty of gluten free options
Excellent
The food was only okay. The service was good, however the restaurant seems a little too crammed up and tables too close.
