Plush rooms with fireplaces & free Wi-Fi, plus a restaurant with a patio overlooking the water.
I really liked this place. It's quirky. The rooms are lovely. There are no coffee machines, but there is an excellent coffee station on the floor with real cream and the coffee was delicious and we drank it with much pleasure while overlooking the lake from our room. Beds were very comfortable. There was a lovely fireplace, and we enjoyed that, but could not figure out how to turn it off for the night. Stairs are a disaster, ugly and smelly and steep, but the inn is only 3 floors. The rooms need shower mats for the bathroom. The bathroom floor was damp and slippery. We intend to return, and next time I hope to treat myself in the downstairs restaurant.
I stayed here a while back and it was very clean. Staff wonderful. Awesome location.
I have withheld reviewing because I thought the first year it was a one off. The second year, well they are really busy this weekend. Third year we stayed elsewhere (best plan). Fourth year was horrible. This year was the 5th year attending the HOGS for Hospice weekend bike rally. To say that we did not enjoy our stays would be a significant understatement. Rooms: We have stayed in 4 different rooms - they are all SUBPAR! The air conditioning is nearly impossible to detect. The beds are horrible! The noise from old plumbing, guests in the hall, above, below are all contrary to resting. We were in the Lakeview Double room as shown on the website. The bed on the right is a HARD board, the one on the left is a soft hammock. The blankets were duvets with no covers. The one duvet was super soft and cozy and the other was hard. Linens: All the linens reeked of fabric softener or detergent. Patio/Restaurant: We understand the notice that music plays on the weekends with a live band till 11 pm, that is fine we accept that as a condition of being in a lake view room. However, having pounding music ALL day on the patio is not okay. We had no sleep the night before from all the room noises is not okay for a room that was $332 per night! We went to the restaurant to get a nibble and walked into what sounded and appeared like a bachelor party with grown men screaming at each other and arm wrestling on the bar. We ordered drinks and decided to forgo the air conditioning and go to the patio. We were on the patio for at least an hour before a server appeared to ask if we would like more drinks. There was no food available. The patio had about 25 people and about 10 that were obnoxiously loud. Parking: The lot is a decent size and usually this weekend it is full of bikes. However, this year it was full of cars. We found the last open proper parking space. There was no place reserved for motorcycles, there was no signage for bike parking. The vehicles all had slips of paper on the dash with Seacliffe Inn stamped on them. Rates: In 2023 this was the rate taken directly from our confirmation email: "Average nightly rate: $234.00/night", in 2024 : "Aug 2, 2024 319.00 Room/package Aug 3, 2024 269.00" These rates for a motorcycle rally to raise funds for the local hospice. Washroom: Best part of the room! Great shower! If you are looking for a location close to the beach and Seacliffe Park then the Inn is the closest. However, I hope that folks will begin to forgo location and see that the owners obviously are gouging customers and not giving anything to the community effort of raising money for the local hospice. We are truly disappointed with the Inn.
Was in town with my gf on a bike getaway for the weekend. Was chillen at the beach in Leamington and found out there were concerts going on there, that night. Decided to stay nearby, called around and was stoked that these guys were able to accommodate us. Had a room on the third floor facing the lake, view was amazing! Room was nice and clean, staff were friendly. No complaints here. Nice place to stay.
We wouldn't hesitate to book here again. We did have a few problems when we first stayed here several years ago, but management went out of their way to make things right. We stayed here again for two nights in early May, and we couldn't have asked for a more ideal situation. Location is perfect -- close to the ferry to Pelee Island, and a short drive from Point Pelee National Park. Our main-floor room was spacious, clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet -- just what we needed after long days of birding. AC and shower worked great. This is not a fancy place, but it suited our purposes very well.
We have come to the Seacliffe many times and things are just not good. There is no carpeting on the floor; just a “cheesy” rug on either side of the bed. There are ceiling lights, but only 1 bedside lamp, and it doesn’t work. The TV doesn’t work. 2 of the 3 electrical plugs for charging devices were behind the bed and night table. No instructions for using the remote to try to use the TV. And no phone in the room to even get a hold of anyone. 2 small bath towels, 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels. That was all. There was an ice bucket but no ice machine in sight. There is a small dining table and 2 hard chairs. The table looks like someone has been pounding on it with a tool. There is no other seating. The grounds outside were littered with last years dead leaves and other plant material. The photographs on the website are terribly misleading. And do check out the menu for the restaurant. The prices are very, very high. And empty pizza boxes in the vestibule. And all this for $240!!!! This will be our last visit to the Seacliffe Inn.
I would love to stay at this hotel again, without a doubt. Even though it's only a two-star hotel, I'd choose it over a four-star one any day. The room was spotlessly clean, with a bright and inviting colour scheme. Checking in was a breeze, even without any human interaction - I just called Phill at the front desk to get the password, and then picked up my room key. Checking out was just as easy - I just had to drop the key in the box. Perhaps it was because we came during the off-season, but the hotel was very peaceful and the sunlight was plentiful. I felt right at home after checking in. They provided everything I needed and made my stay comfortable and convenient.
The room was clean, but a bit tight and had nowhere to get comfortable after a long day, just two wooden dining chairs. No coffee maker in room. The faucet handle in the bathroom was very loose so difficult to control the temperature and flow. Our room was on the first floor, which we liked because I couldn't have managed all those stairs to the top floor. Our room faced the parking lot, which at first disappointed us until we realized it was the quietest side - no fault of the inn, but there are street racers until all hours. Very convenient location to the ferry and Point Pelee. We saw no staff, but that was fine as we didn't need anything. We would book again, but would bring our camp chairs and a coffee maker!
It is a very good place
Rooms: The TV didnt work. The internet didnt work. The refrigerator leaked water all over the floor beside the bed and the floors were dirty and theres nobody to complain to Rooms
Conveniently located to the beach and the Pelee Island ferry. Dinner was extremely good
Great location for visit to Point Pelee National Park.
Great place to stay. Friendly staff and owner.
Excellent service, location and attention from the person in charge or manager, always attentive to the needs of the guests. Rooms: comfortable Nearby activities: shops, marina, beach Safety: Excellent, without any problem in a week of accommodation Walkability: every day to the beach and the marina, very close. Food and drinks: very good
Have you ever heard of a hotel that never answered their phone? Thats impossible to contact? That never answers messages or emails? I havent until now. I would recommend read the neg. reviews before you book this place! They have terrible customer service.
Very quaint hotel right across the street from the waterfront. Great restaurant on site.
Simply the best hotel in Leamington in my opinion. Very old timey, fishermans lodge feel and they cater to birders so coming for the Point Pelee birding festival we felt at home. This will almost certainly be our go to hotel any time we come up to bird at the point
Walkability: Near beach, and marina Rooms
Close to the ferry. Not always someone at the desk. Hard to find the entrance the first time. Comfy room but tap was broken. Walkability: Close to the ferry and the marine.
Fun night at 13 at the Inn
Such a great place. So Intimate so clean.
Fantastic view.
Manager got rude with me because I mentioned I had trouble finding a parking spot
We had a great room and decided to stay longer. We were in the top floor north west corner (most of their pictures) and Judy and I loved every minute. We met the owner over a late night glass of wine. Great guy. The food was over the top. I ve never had a more tender piece of beef ever. The staff was always on point and it was just an impromptu perfect time. Thank you so much and I would recommend this inn to everyone. Judy Whitfield and Paul Thomas
Service was awesome, as always!
The question google asked me was why was it ok? . Hmm let me see. Let me first say that, when we arrived to our room, the door was wide open. Due to covid reasons , the staff would only be in from 12-2pm, which makes no sense at all considering they left our door completely open for anyone to enter. How can I trust that no one had done this? Doesn t that defeat the purpose of even cleaning the room? Hmm, Maybe because when we got there, one out of the 2 beds in our room had looked like someone just finished taking a nap in it, our carpet with stained with god knows what, and the water that came from the tub faucet was as yellow as the sun, and our sheets were stained yellow. Not to mention, there was a lovely dog toy left from the people before us. Some positive things I can say about our stay was that the view was decent, the inn was in a great spot and close to everything you need, and there was a consistent flow of hot water when showering (if you can look past the yellow-ness). We had checked in after midnight, so I understand that no one was there to help us with any of these issues... but I don t think I really saw anyone at all throughout our stay. Will I be back? Possibly. Maybe if they step up their game a little. Lots of room for improvement.
Tried to book a room, no answer, left a message. 1 week later tried every extension, no answer. When I called the emergency number she seemed annoyed that I called eventhough I explained that I left messages a week earlier and that I tried every extension and NO OnE was picking up. Then she overpriced the room then what was advertised. Dont waste your time with this snoby motel.
Badly managed. Sad
WORST EVER!!!! Stayed for 2 nights on the weekend, the restaurant ran out of prosecco, food was very basic and I was unimpressed. When we checked in a lady told us we should tip her and to put money in the envelope under the door. The room was ok, however there was a man who is there every night and was banging and talking extremely loud in the hallway at 6am both days. When asks to keep it down the reply was they didn t think they were loud and that we as customers didn t get in on Friday night until 2am!? Unbelievable and would NEBER STAY HERE AGAIN. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, service is not a thing here, it was like staying at my rude grandmas house!
Greatfull I could bring my awesome pit-bull but there was next to NO internet and the NOISE from the EFIN climate control ventilation system is tremendously disruptive! It needed replacement like 3 years ago! No coffee! I have an 8 1/2hr drive back home tomorrow. I am NOT even sure this will be posted..
Had a great time, perfect location.
The bath towels had stain on them felt gross from the beginning, carpet also had stains and bathroom vets was almost falling down. Too bad it is situated in a beautiful area. Love the parks around it. For the price we paid I was expecting clean linen at least. Rooms
Great location.
I love the friendliness of the staff that works there.
WARNING!!! If you decide to stay at this hotel please make sure you lock your door with the lock handle. A man had the key to our room, opened our door while we were sleeping. He kept trying to get in, but the lock handle stoped him from entering. This was the scariest thing ever happened to us. We got our things and left right away. This place is clean but NOT safe. Were definitely not coming back. This place is a self service no receptionist. You just walk in get your key from a basket and when you leave just drop your key in a box. Our room was in the 3rd floor when it seems we were the only ones staying there. This looked really fishy when there was only ONE car in the parking lot (my car) I dont usually write reviews but this time I felt like I had to. Please be careful
Bearing in mind it is a historical 2 star hotel, the price cant be beat for what you get, the rooms are very spacious and great for extended trips. A great location and beautiful scenery. We even got to see fireworks out our window one night over the water. Only hang ups if any are: Although food at their restaurant is amazing it is a little pricey. And there is Noone at the desk. So you have to leave a message or phone someone. All and all, I would definitely go back
A centrally located hotel that is close to the water and beach. It is a basic hotel and although the bed and washroom was very clean but the carpet was dirty.
There was no one at the front desk and overall the building did not seem secure at all which was unsettling. The rooms felt old but clean enough and pretty big. Location was right by the water which was nice.
Good clean inn easy check in with Covid procedures Leamington harbour has nice ferry book in advance 4 weeks to peele island ride Nearby seacliffe park to bbq and hangout Quite huge beach and clean 2 min drive at seacliff park
Perfect location to catch the ferry to Pelee Island, close to restaurants and not too far a drive from Point Pelee National Park. Nice size room, all the basics. Microwave on the first floor is a nice touch.
Such a lovely restaurant and great service. Karen is a wonderful host and their ahi tuna steak is absolutely to die for!
Very clean place in a great location. Comfy bed and pillows. SUPER clean bathrooms. No frills type of place but it was perfect for a weekend getaway. One thing that isnt listed on the site is that each room was equipped with a nice size small fridge- not the usual teeny tiny mini hotel fridge. Would definitely recommend this place and stay again!
We booked this hotel in the spring for this week. It was my wifes and i 25th wedding anniversary. When we arrived there on Monday we noticed the ac was set to 70 degrees and after several hrs it would climb up to 74..we asked management and the said they would look into it which they never did. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was horrible noisy we asked if it could be changed or disconnected, management never did anything. The spout in the shower was loose and you had to play with the knob to get water to divert to the shower head. The bar and restaurant were listed as open and they were not. Its too bad for such a nice looking building. If your looking for a romantic spot this is not it.
The office closes at 2 so if you have a problem you can only reach then by text. Make sure you book a room you can get to, there are 3 floors and no elevator and the owner will not help you at all. I did not see on the web that there is no elevator and my husband is handicap. we checked in after 6 and the only way they could communicate is through text. We carries our essentials to our room and checked out the next day, no refund for the second night. I handed in the key and they came out to the car telling me I did not give in the key. The room was clean but the coffee maker had a used pod in it and only 1 for us to use. Ice is on rhe second floor and nothing in the room to go and get it. The room was hot the air was not on. once we figured out how to turn the air on it got cold. Overall bad experience. They need a lesson on how to talk to customers. They just dont care.
The location was great! We had a nice view of the lake and there were lots of restaurants and stores nearby (within 5mins or less), and were close to the ferry for Pelee Island. The food at the restaurant was pretty picey, but really good. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but like many other reviews the carpet needed to be replaced, the bathroom fan was really loud, and we noticed a stain on the duvet cover. However, we brought our own sheets, so that wasnt a big issue for us. We were provided with a contact number for anything we needed, but we never saw anyone at the front desk on either mornings we were there. But this too was fine for us. Our main concern was the security of the room. We noticed there was no lock on the inside of our room door. Only a latch protected us from any possible unauthorized access to our room while we were inside. To put our minds at ease we had to put a chair under the door handle, which is a bit unfortunate. The inn is okay for a short stay like ours (2 nights).
Rude. Didnt care.
There was no staff at the Inn. We got a text giving us a door code to get in. We had a couple of issues, I.e. fireplace not working, questions about the bill, etc., but there was no staff and no one answered the phone. The carpet was dirty. We were charged a $119.00 reservation fee on top of $200 a night which was outrageous especially considering there was no customer service whatsoever.
Nice, clean, quiet.
Very limited services, very loud, I could hear people talking , yelling, walking in the hall and even upstairs. Not book again
Easy check in. Quaint set up. Bed and pillows were a bit hard. Excellent high end dining. Directly beside Pelee Island Ferry.
The Seacliffe inn was a little disappointing when me and the family stayed there. We did not get extra towels for the 3 rd guest. the room had a lack of lighting, there was no hangers. And they dont offer breakfast ethior. how ever the rooms are clean and when they had it the front desk service was nice. How ever i only saw on check in on the first of 4 days stayed there for.
Cozy rooms, close to the water!
Overtly expensive for a 19.20s room.
Good place to stay and eat. Awesome views!
Lovely little inn with an amazing fireplace and cute interiors of the rooms. Ill be back!!
The website says newly renovated but it is the same as when we last visited several years ago. Having said that, the rooms are spacious and clean, although the carpet had some light coloured marks (bleach spill?) Lovely gas fire in the room but too warm to use it. In fact we opened the window. Contactless check in and check out are very easy to use. Some might find it a bit old fashioned, but it is comfortable.
Nice place.
Room is clean. The beds are comfortable. Weve enjoyed our stay. The most important thing is that dogs are allowed.
It was nice.
The Inn is very nice and Domenique who runs the Inn is wonderful. Avoid the restaurant downstairs at all costs. It is run by someone else and its is extremely over priced, service is just okay at best, and the food is nothing to get excited about.
Service was slow
Housekeeper went into our room even after we told her we didnt want service, and she took all the change in our room.
Very beautiful hotel. Quiet and in a nice area. The marina view rooms are perfect. Across the street is a very good burger place, but also a few restaurants. The rooms are clean and very spacious.
Great place. Service was very good. Also have a few local beers on tap which were very nice. Generous portions. We ll be back.
Just visited the restaurant. The food was great. If you like fine dining in Leamington. The waitress was also friendly and attentive.
Rustic charm and clean, comfortable accommodations. Only downfall is the lack of an elevator and no staff at front desk at night. Close to ferry going to Pelee island. There is a restaurant in the basement with late night hours and great food.
Food was decent, I had the 13 Burger with The Inn salad. Salad was quite good. Service was a slow though pleasant. Biggest issue, 13 Burger with salad is $16 on menu and I was charged $19. My wife had perch and salad, $18 on menu and we were charged $28! I didnt notice till we were discussing our $84 lunch(including 15% tip for slow service) after leaving. I drank only tap water and wife had 1 spritzer
Quaint small town Inn. Excellent service, cozy rooms, clean.
Nice rooms great bar!
Room was nice window lake view seen ferry loading unloading.the harbour to take walks in evenings after supper but no elevator 3 floors of rooms
Stayed in early July. Great quick drive, neighborhood was nice and quiet. My room faced the water. The staff was friendly, but one of the hallways smelled. The view was wondering, but one night the downstairs restaurant played live music until 11pm. I would recommend overall.
Great view of Lake Erie
Beds a little hard.front desk was not helpful, when they were there
Great location . Great place right by the water. Simple rooms, but we only stayed one night so it was fine. Had everything we needed. I would probably stay again because of the location
Restaurant gives very small portions and expensive. Perch dinner...3 very small pieces of perch....approx 10 french fries. No Cole slaw...no bun....twenty bucks. No thanks!
Not to many people, quite and small place to hangout
Very clean outdated.
Great location, but rather noisy. If you can climb stairs, book on the third floor. We were on the second floor and the people in the room above us started making noise at 5:30 a.m. No staff at front desk in case of emergency. On a positive note, the room was clean. Would stay again because of the location, but would ask for the third floor.
Excellent staff good rooms with lake front view
Nice for the age
The room was comfortable, very clean and quite. The restaurant is wonderful, the appearance is elegant but you feel so at home. The food is amazing.
Loved it.
Very well decorated interior and rooms. Very convenient location to town, right by the ferry and a quick drive to go to Point Pelee National Park
Nice place to stay in
Love the food here never actually stayed at the inn however this is the only place I eat when I visit this area.
Well appointed room. Great view of the ferry. Amazing value -- staying during off-season. Very clean and well maintained.
Great place by the water. Pet friendly so we were able to take our dog, thanks. And often you can find rooms in the high birding season, that is always a bonus...
Great value. Incredible location great hospitality. Will definitely stay here again
Rib eyesteak
REALLY heavy doors for some reason and our fireplace didnt work but a nice, clean room.
Great hotel, clean and comfortable.
so so so so sketchy. Terrible food at the restaurant too. Literally tasted like microwaved hungry man.
Its a beautiful place in a nice location. Im surprised it isnt always completely packed
Clean and comfortable. Ive stayed here twice during the off-season and it wasnt particularly busy. Reasonably priced. Would stay there again.
Cozy place with nice rooms. Large rooms and peaceful
Excellent all around evening
Great hotel next to the ferry. Always have a good stay here.
Beaitiful quiet clean
Food is expensive and often not good
Room was decent. Shower was a little under pressure. Bed felt kind of old. My biggest issue was no elevator. I was on the third floor and had to open three fire doors, some at the top of stairs with my bags in hand.
Good location, close to a park and to the ferry. Clean.
Great accommodation, great food, great service and great prices! Highest recommendation!
Excellent food . Where else in Essex cty can you get gulf coast shrimp and local rack of lamb . Cheerful service . Not cheap but worth the price
Great hotel, comfy beds and good room size/variety!
Nice room. Close to the ferry terminal to Pelee Island.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Seacliffe Inn. Its a beautiful old building right near the lake, the rooms were really comfy. The best breakfast in Leamington is right across the street too. Cant go wrong staying here.
Nice updated room, a tad pricey
Nice location.
The newly remodeled bar is very different. The dark wood is gone, everything is white and pristine. Service was attentive, food was good.
Great stay. Good view and nice restaurant.
Loved it. The room was awesome, the inn itself is queit and cozy. In a perfect place to walk alongside the beach or the pier, and there are plenty of food options both at the hotel, and around it. Will be staying here again for sure.
Great food and atmosphere
Amazing food, great service, beautiful decor
Quaint hotel - with friendly staff that arranged for us to get our key after hours, and approved us keeping our car parked there while we took a day trip to Pelee Island.
The inn is located in a small lakeside City. Just off the dock for Pelee island. Rooms we really spacious. Quiet and clean. We will revisit.
Great location, right in front of the marina. Room was decent. Parking not a problem either. Hassle free checking in and out.
Came to the seacliff inn for a wedding, the accommodations were nice and the service quality. The town of Leamington offers plenty to do close by.
Staff were really friendly. Issue is we got there at 3 hoping to enjoy the weather, sit outside and have good food. Turns out their Chef/Kitchen for their menu does not open till 5pm. They had a handful of patio food to make (burger/wrap and such). Took a long time for food to come out for our 15 ppl table.
Nice place to stay, though a bit dated. Its right by the water so its quite close to everything. Nice views and well equipped rooms with coffee and fridge, though the coffee in the room is pretty bad. Friendly service
Garbage.
Great location. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. This is my favorite hotel in the Leamington area.
Quiet clean room. Missed having a microwave and a small fridge in room.
I do housekeeping here.
Great place for dinner and drinks while its still nice out
Dirty, poor upkeep, VERY cheap/uncomfortable beds & pillows, & very bad WIFI connection. This is a $70 per night hotel at best, not in the least worth $135 per night. After seeing the room my first night, I tried to cancel the remainder of my stay - they would not allow me to (said only the owner can do so) - the owner never returned my phone calls or messages. Do yourself a favor and go to the Quality Inn up the street if you want something in this area.
Very nice rooms and really spacious. Good location as well. Each room has a gas fireplace that really heats the room up well. No complaints about this place other than the finishes of the room I was in. It looked like the ceiling needed to be finished again. It looked like the drywall was about to fall down. The inn also has a restaurant downstairs and the food was good but really expensive.
Its the best choice in Leamington. The room offers a bed to sleep in and the check-in and check-out ate efficient.
Enjoyed my stay. Nice room and was very clean.
We checked this place out for a possible stay at a later date. I think well enjoy ourselves.
Quiet, cheap, clean. Nice personal touch.
Cool little bar
The rooms are clean, quaint, and modern. We had a Lakeview room which gave a really nice view of the lake and ferry. There was also a fireplace which we loved! Weve visited before and always enjoy our stay.
Great quaint place to stay great views of the lake restaurants on property other restaurants nearby friendly clean great place to stay
The Seacliffe Inn is a wonderful place d to stay. We had a very nice view of the lake and waterfront. Its location to the ferry is a two minute walk and less to the beach. Other amenities are a short drive in any of the three directions. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with a touch of elegance. We stayed in a double Queen room with a fireplace which was fantastic for a January stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the inn is modern but with a feeling of stepping back in Mariners time. We ate breakfast across the road at Gaspards which has fantastic service friendly faces and a feeling of home with great prices.
Quaint little inn. Convenient location to everything. Had a Lakeview room. 2 queen beds and a fireplace. Only thing it needs is new mattresses. Breakfast place across the road was delicious home cooked meal.
My husband and I stayed at this inn when we eloped. Loved this quiet little place. There are little coffee pod machines to make coffee in the morning. There is a microwave on the main floor for guests to use. A fridge in our room. New towels everyday. The restaurant is not open in the winter but there are plenty of places for food around. We got a lakeside view. Falling asleep and waking up to view of lake is sweet.
I stayed for one night on a Wednesday and I felt completely abandoned. On arrival my key was sitting in a envelope waiting for me, but no one was there to greet me. My room was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. But the fireplace didnt work, and I had really been looking forward to using it. In the evening I noticed there were tea bags so I thought I would make a tea but there was no means of boiling water. There was a keurig machine, but they are designed to only work when there is a pod present. I was provided with a room number if I needed assistance and there was no one there. Not a soul. It was just such an unfortunate experience, I was staying away from home, I was all alone, and there was no one around to help me.
Beutiful lakeside view, excellent staff ,super clean room with fireplace and small fridge, ice, restaurant and bar closed till April but lots of restaurants nearby, was perfect for quiet winter get away for my wife and I.
Amazing room and such friendly service! The hotel was beautifully decorated in a seaside/nautical theme and situated right on the shore of Lake Erie! The hotel was convientely located across from the Ferry Terminal that runs to Pelee Island.
Clean rooms, great views and a great price made for a most enjoyable stay. With access to the beach and with downtown Leamington minutes away you wont regret staying at The Seacliffe Inn during your vacation.
We went in the off season. This was an excellent place witha great window view and very cosy, except for an exceptionally miserable bed (very, very hard). This is a common complaint just google seacliff inn hard bed.
The hotel is nice since its close to the water and the staff are friendly. The food in their restaurant is good quality at a reasonable price. However, there were some glaring functional issues we had with our room (third floor) and the hotel as a whole. For starters, our bathroom sink was outside of our bathroom, which was the most ridiculous thing. An absolutely horrible design which was not disclosed anywhere at all, and pretty significant in my opinion. The mirror was way too short, and I had to get on my knees to see my face. My girlfriend is 5 3, and she cant even see her face. The bathroom exhaust fan was really noisy, the TV is situated too far from the bed for the remote to change channels, and at an angle that makes it impossible to view from the couch without craning your neck. Also there is no elevator, so we had to take our luggage up several flights of stairs, so if youre elderly or have mobility issues, I wish you luck coming here. Overall, there was nice features about the place, but its an absolute user experience nightmare. Not worth the price I paid. Definitely some things to work on.
Very nice and peaceful. Beautiful location.
Delicious food and great entertainment (Mark Chichkan)
Great rooms, great location
Ive never stayed in the hotel but the pub downstairs is nice. The staff are friendly and service-oriented. The food is good and the weekends patio parties with live music are a big local attraction.
Very friendly staff
Was disappointed with the service, they were 3 of us. 2 of us ordered alcoholic drinks and the 3rd person asked for a glass of water. We then asked for a menu. We got our 2 drinks but not the water, and we were not shown a menu. We paid for our beverages thenleft.
Clean ans comfortable rooms. Nautical theme. Good views of the marina and ferry. Friendly staff. Good value for a family of four and reasonably large rooms.
They overbooked and didnt tell us until we arrived. Left us without a place to stay and didnt even try to accommodate us. Gave us some phone numbers and said sorry. What a joke this place is, they blamed online booking but that is not the reason.
Friendly staff and good music. Local patrons all seemed to be there for the same things we were there enjoying :)
I loved the stay. The local workers were extremely helpful in giving us advice on what to do during our stay as well as giving us directions. The rooms were tidy and nice. My only complaint is the abundance of fish flies
Had a lovely experience out on the patio.
Nice location, view and cute room.
Nice clean a little dated but good people food and service. Family owned
I feel bad giving this place only a three because the location was amazing, the inn very quaint and unique compared to the average hotel, and the service was very friendly. That said, we had some consistently bad luck for our two night stay. We checked in to a room that had not been cleaned (blankets and towels were strewn about). For the inconvenience, we received vouchers for their restaurant, though they were only to be used on a specific day. I was hoping for an upgraded room because the room we got (202) overlooked the parking lot, but the woman was unable to accommodate that. Worse was that we were told to leave and hang around for 45 minutes while our room got cleaned. It was just after a long drive and we really just wanted to rest, so that was a pretty big let down. Also, our Do Not Disturb sign was missing so we fashioned our own, and on our second day when we left for the day and came back (gone for about 7 hours), our room had (again) not been cleaned. So service was friendly but not very good. The woman we dealt with said they were very short staffed, so I chalk it up to bad luck. The restaurant was pretty good. Prices were great, the perch was very tasty, the broasted chicken also quite tasty. I felt like the burger meat was generic frozen grocery store patties, so I was a little let down there, but they have a pretty awesome patio, so over all the restaurant was a nice experience. Hopefully my story regarding service is a one-off incident because for the price we were let down, but I think if our luck was better and there were more staff, this could easily have been a 5 star experience.
Quality stay. Old building, lots of history.
Fantastic stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. The in-house restaurant had great food, and there is a fantastic breakfast place right across the road. Rooms on first floor are accessible. Close to the peele Island ferry.
Very nice place, bar/restaurant in basement, walk out patio. Views of Lake Erie. Large/clean room
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Location across the street from waterfront parc and ferry dock. Enjoyed an evening at the outdoor patio bar with live acoustic music.
Fabulous staff and the Towle Family is amazing!
Great
Thought itd be much cuter than it was, but it looked like any other hotel once in your room. There was also a mixup because I was charged at the hotel as well as online so that had to be fixed.
The really great place and I dont understand why its not crazy busy all the time
Very well appointed. Right on the water.
Quaint location and building
Best HOT waitresses in town
Great staff
Good room, great food, excellent view!
Quaint place to stay with Outdoor Bar Patio
I did not stay here only stopped for a few minutes
OK room, very light welcome.
I had a room booked (305) for 2 nights on Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14th, 2017 and I would like to inform you of several shortcomings and the overall horrible experience of staying at this hotel. Initially booked through Expedia as the hotel was a top pick, I arrived on Friday evening at about 6PM and was promptly given my room key. Upon proceeding to my room, I dumped all my luggage and headed out to see the sights of the town before a family wedding the next day. Only upon getting back at about 11PM did i notice that there was this huge yellow stain on the duvet and it smelled weird. As usual, i tried calling the front desk to ask for a replacement but there was no hotel staff anywhere to be found. I so i turned the fire place all the way up and decided to go for a shower. There were no bath towels in the room and only 2 small face towels. Again, no hotel staff anywhere to request for some towels to be brought up. I finally managed to get towels the next morning before having to go to the wedding. Saturday night (14th Night), the fire alarm went off at about 2:15AM and all the hotels guests were assembled outside as per evacuation policies. Not a single staff member was reachable and we had to call 911 and the Fire Department ourselves and wait till 3:30AM to be told it was a faulty sensor and the hotel staff should have been on hand to report the issue to the fire department. I have never seen such a pathetic set up in a hotel wherein guests cannot get basic clean linen or service that you would get even in a road side motel. I would like someone to contact me about a full or partial refund ( and I fully intend to post this same message to Expedia and all other hotel booking websites. It looks like The Seacliffe Inn only draws customers in based on its heritage and location and the owners and management are milking the same. I will ensure that I tell everyone that i know to book a room at the Best Western or any other hotel in Leamington because there cannot be elementary screw ups like this at any other chain establishment. I want to be contacted for a refund.
Nice location and nicely decorated.
Good service as always
Beautiful location right next to the Leamington ferry docks. Spacious, clean room. Wonderful walking opportunity nearby including short distance to downtown.
Best place to stay in town
Really nice dining area in the works downstairs. Looks like it will be great when its all ready to go
Stayed there a week ago the location is great right on the water the room was really nice and clean, plenty of space we had a wonderful weekend, highly recommend it. Next time were in leamington its gonna be here again
Cozy, friendly staff, good location by the water, bad WiFi
Very nice. Clean, quiet. Too bad the restaurant closed so early.
The place seemed like a very busy and well staffed place for drink after 12pm
We went there for our honeymoon. They upgraded our room for free to a beautiful lake view suite. The restaurant is casual and has excellent food, especially the fish tacos. Friendly staff. Very close to the water and park land.
Very friendly front desk. Rooms were quaint and very clean! Very at home feel to it. Will definitely be back!
This was a decent place to stay. Myself and my girlfriend enjoyed a harbor-facing room with a fireplace. This Inn has very steep stairs to the rooms, and no elevator. If you have trouble getting up stairs, this isnt the place for you. The restaurant in the basement was closed for the season, so we walked across the road to a nice hockey-themed place for a bite to eat.
A very nice hotel. The direct location on Lake Erie is great and is ideal for a visit to Point Pelee National Park. The rooms are clean and very nicely decorated. The fireplace and refrigerator were particularly great.
Nice clean and quiet inn to spend the weekend at and not to mention, the rooms are right off the beach. I loved my stay there and would happily spend another weekend there.
They didnt have the spare cot we asked for, so they gave us a complimentary room instead! Excellent customer service.
The location was fantastic, right on the waterfront in Leamington. The room was recently updated, exceptionally clean and well appointed! the service was very good, and the staff were friendly as well as helpful!
A nautical themed inn over a pub!
