My friend and I chose ribs combo with fried chicken, the specialty here is the fried chicken, its crispy and tasty and they serve it warm. Very nice atmosphere to have dinner there

Don t order the meatloaf. It was a burnt end that they were obviously trying to get rid off. They hid in under the mashed potatoes. I drove home and then ended up with diarella and meat sweats. Never again.

Fast friendly and good food at a good price. The place was loaded with people and yet the staff covered all the tables fast and with a smile. Nice atmosphere sort of 50s. Parking: After hours you can park next door,especially on a Friday night.

First time there, very impressed with everything! Ordered the broasted chicken for two. Six pieces of chicken, platter of fries, large bowl of salad, rolls and butter. Excellent price, delicious food. Came out nice and hot. Had the pecan pie with ice cream for dessert. It was warmed up, split it with my husband. Delicious! Can t wait to go back! Wish they had one in Chatham! Parking: Parking right outside of the restaurant Have one spot for handicapped Free parking Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible. I had my walker. Only thing is the incline into the restaurant although it s slanted is a bit steep. Going up isn t too bad but going down you have to go slow. I put my brakes on and released a bit at a time. Otherwise there s lots of room in the restaurant to get around.

Its been a few times that we went to eat and we like it. The chicken, fries, pasta, and dessert are all good. Also the prices are very reasonable. Kid-friendliness: My kids love the chicken and fries.

The staff are friendly. The restaurant was fairly busy at noon but still had lots of seating. Our Friends had the broccoli soup and said it was good. The western sandwich was stacked with omelet filling. The club house sandwich was stacked also. Mushroom Swiss burger was good, but the canned mushrooms were disappointing. Fresh mushrooms would have made it better. I loved the fries. They were the coated crispy type of fries.

The staff are great! Make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need!

I was really surprised on how big it was inside. Really classic style dinner decor. The food was good and service was really quick.

We are intown for our kids hockey tournament and did our research prior to arriving and were excited to try out the Imperial. They were amazing! We all had the steak which was cooked to perfection. The gravy / onions / mushrooms went perfect with the steak, the garlic mashed were great as well. The Imperials french fries were also cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, tender in the middle, its this attention to detail that sets this establishment ahead of the rest. We had a chocolate milkshake, chocolate sundee and their brownie desert which were all amazing. I cant wait to return to Leamington and most of all, returning to the Imperial, great job!

A great place to eat in or take out. Large portions for a decent price. I usually get 3 meals from one meal. Everyone is friendly and courteous. If not busy, they will stop and talk with you whether they served you or not. So clean and bright. Makes you happy just being there.

Sad, this is the second time in the row this has happened to me. This not broasted chicken , if it is your oils very dirty! I spent -almost $90 bucks, shame your food was so good before.

Its a time warp. You walk in from 2023 into 1950. Red, I mean, real bright, vibrant red and white decor with an amazing black and white checkerboard floor. You will be amazed with the floor. The only thing missing from a real 50s diner was the grease. This place is clean! Our food, we had the chicken, was crispy on the outside but moist and tender inside. Well definitely be adding this restaurant into our weekly dining out rotation.

We dont normally comment on any business. We are of the mind that everyone should judge for themselves, but as for the halibut dinner at this restaurant is (bar none), the best fish dinner in South Western Ontario!

We got our chicken raw, I let them know and the waitress rolled their eyes and said it was just a vain. There was a pool of blood in my plate and multiple pieces were raw. Staff didn t acknowledge the mistake which is what brought me to write the review. I would have given them the chance to rectify the situation but when they disregarded the blood in my plate, that was enough. I won t be coming back.

The Broasted dark meat chicken was good. White meat was over cooked. Halibut was so over cooked, it was chewy. Fries are McCains, nothing special. Nice looking restaurant, busy but so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Definitely attracted an older crowd. Food

We ate here a few months ago and we re so impressed we ordered 35 pieces of broasted chicken for my wife 60 th birthday dinner with the family. The chicken was delicious and so juicy. We are from Tilbury and will definitely make the drive to eat here again in the future. See you again soon

Ive been here many times, and the food is excellent! Huge portion sizes, so go hungry or be ready to take some home. I cant say enough good about the wait staff, they are consistently wonderful, attentive and caring. Its my favorite place to eat in town. Food

Very good place to eat. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and its reasonably priced. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because it closes early to suit my job. I would go more often if it was open even an hour later. Vegetarian options: There are a lot of meals that dont have meat but some of them have dairy.

Carrots were cold and dry. Hot turkey sandwich was half cold and half warm. Nothing was hot. I only came here because the person I was with wanted to go there. This is my 3rd time and like the other 2 times the meal was anything but good. This was definitely my last time. To top it off the bill was $32. I gave her $40 and she asked if I wanted change, like she was expecting an $8 tip. Parking: Small and tight.

Really enjoyed the broasted chicken for dinner last night. Threes pieces are more then enough for most people, meat is tender and juicy, nice flavour too. And yes the skin is crispy, dont bother with the fast food near by, go here instead.

Food was great ! Ended up costing a little bit more then we had anticipated but we were okay with that because the food was great,! I was a little bit sad I do think the gravy was different from previous times - ( I did prefer the older one better) but it was still really good... Our server was super friendly.. actually all the staff was friendly.

Raw bloody chicken, forgot to bring us our drinks, refused to call boss. Argued that chicken can be bloody by the bone. Properly cooked chicken, the blood turns brown it doesn t stay bright red. Insisted three times I order something else, even brought me the menu after I told her I didn t want anything else. The first waitress said everything would be complimentary, the second waitress came and said had to pay for the coffee and second meal. The second waitress said her job was on the line if I didn t order different food. Absolutely horrid. I felt so disrespected. She chased me into the parking lot, wrote my license plate number down, knocked on my car window to say she was calling the police.

Got a partially raw rubbery and bloody piece of chicken...they did not want to refund the meal cuz 1 piece of chicken had been eaten and they only wanted to replace the chicken. After taking a bite and seeing that theres no way ide want it replaced, it was sickening. They finally refunded my money back after they tried arguing about it however they kept the taxes portion....very pathetic....cutting those losses and never going back

I order off the children s menu because I have had bariatric surgery. U carry a card signed by a medical doctor explaining why I can only eat a little bit. And requesting his patient be allowed to order off child s menu. I was refused by the manager/owner as I was not under 12. This is the first time i have been refused by a restaurant. Not good hospitality and will not be back.

We went for supper. The server was friendly and attentive. The decor is so cool, like a 60s malt shop. Ill get a picture next time. I had chicken parmesan. It tasted great and I had enough left for a meal the next day. I would highly recommend this diner.

Service and food was good.

One of my favourite spots to eat all the staff are so nice and attentive to your needs. All the staff are super friendly and inviting youre always greeted with a smile. The food is very good and comes out fast. The owners truly care about their business and work so hard both serving and in the back cooking. They really get to know their regular customers and greet them with pleasent conversation.

Very nice little diner! I ordered the Imperial breakfast with a pancake on the side - and the portion was huge and delicious Pancake was light and fluffy, the eggs were perfect, hash brown was nice and crispy and not too greasy. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff and the wait time was minimal too. A great diner experience for sure!

Michigan diner/hi ho from windsor and or tecumseh. Same menu Decent diner food, not great. The broasted chicken is usually a group favourite.

If you enjoy 20th century style dining in a restaurant with great coffee and a full menu of classic home town choices then this place is for you. They do the best broaster chicken in the county, serve local fish, and there are so many other favourites even the fussy ones in your dinner party should be able to find several things to order. The best part: everything is very reasonably priced compared to the excellent food quality, and portion sizes are generous. Honestly, they could up their dessert choices.

Just ate there last night. We were seated quickly, waitress was friendly and patient and told us portions are enough for two meals (she was right!), our orders were there quickly and hot, everything was great. Lots of selections, good variety and reasonably priced. I know i will definitely be back when visiting Leamington because it is hard to find a restaurant with Canadian selections in town now. Both of us were from out of town and it was nice to be able to talk without also hearing everyone elses conversations or feeling that others could hear ours easily. Bright, diner style decor was friendly and welcoming!

After pandemic the portion of their fish menus were a bit less. Size of the fishes was smaller than before. Despite of their increased price. The smother meatloaf came with regular mashed potatoes gravy instead of meatloaf gravy or sauce. Milkshake to go was made without its whipping cream & chocolate sauce. And its only half of the large soda cup. Thought there would be full or at least whipping cream. I havent coming back there afterwards. Maybe for a different menu. Im just writing based on the meal i received Vegetarian options: They do have some vegetarian options on their menu. Wheelchair accessibility: The place is accessible to wheelchair user.

Visited Sunday (November 13th) around noon. SUPER busy, parking lot full, VERY crowded.....but wait staff was amazing, there were three in our party, three different orders (breakfast, brunch, lunch/dinner) and ALL were received quickly, GIANT portions, well made, great quality, will definitely be back!

Went here on the weekend for a quick lunch and it was so good, and the servers were so nice, that we had to go back for brunch the next day. My son said it was the best burger he s had in his life.
