Just past US Customs at YEG is Tap & Pour Gastropub!
Where to begin… incredibly slow and rude service from server. We went for breakfast on the morning of our departure. It took some time to be seated which was understandable as the restaurant was full. We weren’t led to a clean table but were left to find our own and most were not cleared, with one booth having wine spilled all over. The waitress hadn’t visited so we decided to place an order and pay through the QR code on the table…should be easy enough? A waitress came by to clean the spill and asked if we ordered which we said we did, we let her know our order and asked for a glass of water. Afterwards she started chatting casually to the men seated behind us and as time went on we were still waiting for drinks…probably 20 minutes, had to ask her again. After 45 minutes our food order still hadn’t arrived and we were getting nervous getting closer to our boarding time, the waitress in our section was still casually chatting to the men behind our table and there were about 10+ tables to be cleared… when we interrupted her conversation and asked for our food order she gave us terrible attitude saying that since we ordered through the app she had no control over how quick it’s made but I believe she didn’t even check to see if it was ready. She came back with our order and it tasted stale as if it was sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The waitress was rude and we regret tipping through the app. The food was alright though. The waitress’ name was Veya, as she made sure to let the men in the table behind us know.
Food was fine. Overpriced. Very slow for an airport restaurant, had to find the waitress to get our bill. Sat us at a dirty table, never cleaned it. If you have less than 60 minutes just go to Chilis
An awesome place to enjoy your beer while waiting to board😊
Ashly, the manager is super nice. She came out and answered some questions, going the extra mile to add value. We enjoyed early morning Spicy Bloody Mary and Nachos. It was a great way to leave Canada with the full hospitality of this beautiful country and inspiring people.
Service was friendly, but that Nashville Hot Chicken was terrible. Thin, stringy and burned. The chips were undercooked and floppy like wet potatoes.
Ordered a burger and upgraded to the "truffle fries". What a rip off save the 3 bucks and get the chips. The fries were just normal french fries, my kids meals had more fries then my adult meal. 21 bucks for a 2 oz vodka is a bit steep. Of course it's not on the menu either.
Solid spot for food in the US Gate area of Edmonton Airport. Decent selection of tap beer for an airport bar. Open super early which is nice, got to the gate area around 5am and was pleasantly surprised to find they were open. Breakfast food came out quick and restaurant is stepped from the gates.
I visited this new restaurant early on Easter morning. I am familiar the the prior restaurant that was at this location and the Chili's Express next door. Frankly, the food quality and portion sizes here were fantastic, especially for the reasonable price! Probably one of the best "airport" breakfast meals I've had. Honestly. Eggs were cooked exactly how I asked them. The potatoes had the perfect crunch and softness. The service was attentive. My only complaint was the lack of choice on the breakfast menu, but it is a Pub, after all. And the coffee was $4.49! Yikes.
This is my go-to stop before boarding a flight to the US. Great food, warm and welcoming servers.
Nice service
Ate here yesterday morning before my flight, had a Cesar drink and the nachos and got food poisoning that started during my first flight and by the time I got to my second flight I was in the bathroom for at least half of it puking, this review is more for the establishment to go and look over everything as I ve eaten here before and had no problems, service was also great
Don t eat here! Chicken sandwich was over done and coleslaw was not on the side like asked. Got fries thinking they come with the burger, did not, cost $4 more. Server didn t inform us but rather said did you want fries ? Never again. Food : 1/5
The price of food is not even remotely affordable. Do not go there way over priced. Burger, fries and pop $34 Pop isn t bottomless $4 each server didn t say anything about not being bottomless.
Great breakfast before our flight. New owners since my last time here and a way better meal. Service was outstanding. Aireen was very attentive and great with my kids. Highly recommend.
Overall a pretty bad experience. Food was cold (burger and fries) and drinks for our entire table didn t even arrive (we had to actually go up to the bar and ask for them as our waiter forgot about them). The $3 up charge for cold fries on a below average $23 burger felt like a rip off. Overall, hard to avoid as there isn t many food options in US departures @ YEG, but an underwhelming, overpriced experience.
Like most things in the airport the in a hurry doesn t matter. The staff move at a snails pace. Don t expect a refill on a coffee and you will have to beg for your bill. Food is decent. And prices are airport prices. Unfortunately there is no competition in the US departure side so you re stuck.
The worst food ever!
Rahul was the best!! Both birthdays.
Fast and friendly service, and the Nashville chicken sandwich was great!
Worst and most overpriced breakfast ever. Chef has to be ashamed if he ever exists. 2 stars just because of the good service. Beer was ok.
Grabbed some drinks while we waiting for flights. Friendly server and ordinary drinks.
Dealing with people at all hours must be difficult but they are doing it with a smile on their faces. Fast service and friendly staff. Huge portions of food so you better be hungry. Definitely worth a stop if you are travelling.
Chicken caesar had bitter and browning lettuce. Chicken burger was as tender as a puck. Only redeeming quality was the quesadilla that the kids liked. Brutally disappointing.
Parking: It s in the airport past security, so Food
Angela was our server. Simply one of the best servers ever. Amazing!!
Rahul was our server and he was exceptional, very funny and very good at his job, thank you for a great experience.
Raul is the best host ever!!
Had a great experience w/ the bartender, I wish I knew his name. 10/10 service, thanks for the oranges and cinnamon.
We waited 50 minutes for the fries trio and a Nashville chicken sandwich. The fries came with dips that were inedible and the chicken sandwich had nothing on it except overcooked chicken. No pickle (as advertised), no sauce. And the bun was charred. The service was slow and we almost missed our flight trying to get the bill so we could pay for our awful food. I don t generally complain, but this was a terrible restaurant experience. P.S. there was a small hair in one of the dips that came with the fries and the malt vinegar I asked for never came to our table. Will never be back.
Excellent breakfast and thanks to Shelley for her attentive and friendly service. Be sure to check out this great restaurant on the airport international side!
Barbie was on the ball! The food was great and the service was fantastic. I hope they get some dark beer on their taps.
Bambi was fantastic! Thanks for the great conversation and service.
There are only two eating options on the international side of YEG, which is likely how this place stays in business. We stopped at the Tap & Pour on a Saturday afternoon before our flight. We ordered the loaded nachos with beef and the grilled chicken club. The food came out quick but was still cold. The nachos seemed like they had been sitting for 30 minutes as the cheese had hardened into near cement. The beef add on was indescribable. It was more like corned beef than the usual beef you would expect on nachos. The chicken club was also cold and served on regular bread which was barely toasted. It wasn t the type of sandwich one would normally pay $23 for. The service was almost as bad. To be fair I believe our server didn t actually work our seating area but we had to repeatedly ask for drink refills and the bill. He never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. Overall a very disappointing start to our vacation.
I wish i could give this place negative stars, from the rock hard nachos, which we twice told the server was inedible, to having to get my own my own water refill, and to hearing the staff have a 10-minute conversation complaining about having customers because they want to go home avoid this place like the plague, dont be fooled by the name or menu and think this is good. you will be happier with vending machine food.
It s always nice starting a trip with good food and a smile! Thank you to the crew at Tap&Pour for a very tasty breakfast, and great service by Shelly!! Even had a good chat with the manager while waiting for our flight. Very friendly, recommended spot!
Fantastic food and Aireen provided great service. We loved the chicken fingers, poutine and burger.
Rahul made the stop excellent!
What a lovely experience to have a good meal before a long day of travel! The breakfast portion was huge for a good price. The service we had was the most pleasant, we felt very welcomed and cared for. I even got a fresh pot of decaf! Thank you Aireen for a lovely breakfast before our flight
