630 on a Friday night, $27 for buffet dinner and theres five people there(red flag). You can dine at a nice restaurant and get a hot meal for that price or you can get something thats been sitting there for several hours and serve yourself. Dont forget to tip Food

I order to go always buy house fried rice. It was great. I have been in many Chinese restaurants. Even in chinatown in 3 countries. So I have a bit of experience.

The food was hot and plentiful, plus, there were king crab legs and clams too. The service was excellent? Well be back.

Lots of food.. the Shrimp w the sauce.. green beans .. dumplings.. all very good.. The other meat like duck.. ribs .. chicken wings were cold n chewy . Seating a little tight too.

A small Renovation at the entrance was no problem, and the restaurant was cool, clean, spacious and well lit. Food in the buffet was delicious and fresh, staff was fast efficient and courteous!

Went to the buffet, was going alright for the most part, until we got to the dessert. Specifically, the jello. My friend found a fly under his, and I found something. Im not even sure what in mine. Made us question the whole meal we just ate, wondering if there was something in there. But the service was really nice, very kind. I feel bad rating everything else low.

My husband and I ordered take out, dinner for 2 which came with chicken fried rice, 2 egg rolls, ginger beef, beef chow mein and a SM wonton soup. My husband and I both ate the food but he ended up getting violently ill a few hrs after eating our food. We paid $72 for this meal, just for one of us to get poisoned. We won t be ordering from this place anymore

Great Food, the best Chinese food in Lethbridge.

I went to the restaurant with my two daughters for a buffet, and this sweet older lady who has constantly been serving us for over a year, of course, served us again. She asked for my daughters and my age. When my daughters told her their age like they have been for A YEAR NOW, she asked for ID.... WHAT KID UNDER 13 EATING WITH THEIR PARENTS WILL CARRY ID??? And its just so dumb and insulting that she thought I and my daughters were LYING. This is frankly so disrespectful. She always asked my daughters their age too, and would make odd comments about how old they look and how big they were getting. This time, i seriouslycouldntdeal with such dumb comments. Her coworker seated us too, and she remembered that my kids were, you know, KIDS. But the sweet server still demanded for ID. I just walked out because are you seriously kidding me?! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would make sure to go into the negatives. Also, their toilet hate been broken since 2023.

Have been there multiple times. The service is always great! While the food is always good there is no much variation. The same 3 chow meins every time. As extensive as the menu is you would think the would be a little more creative. I would recomend eating there.

We used to go every other week. Been doing this with 8 to 15 people every time for the last 2 yrs. On Sunday we again went with 9 adults and 2 children. Most of us are in twos, couples and the odd single person. We sit together but all pay in twos. They have a rule that If its ten or more people they add 10% gratuity to everyones individual bills. So just because we sit on a large table they look at us a one group, one bill, not multiple individual cust. I do not agree that they should add this charge as all of us normally add 20% tip as the norm. I brought this to the nice Chinese waitress attention before we started our meal she said its her boss that does it not her. I thought tips, gratuity were the choice of the customer depending on how our service was, not an automatic given. We have decided that we will now find another restaurant as this is a total rip off. Its a shame as the food and especially the waitress are always good. Is this the way to drive cust away because of owners greed.I would love to have a response from management about this. And has anyone else found this wrong.

Extremely disappointed and disgusted. We were here on Saturday night. We found a dead fly in the soy sauce on our table. Is was extremely dusty everywhere! The waitress made us pay for our food even before we were done eating. Men s washroom looked like it hadn t been clean in years. The buffet was mostly empty. Chairs were sticky and have not been cleaned either.

Delicious food, large variety of foods in the buffet. The service was friendly and very good. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. I loved seeing the beautiful fish in the man-made pond as well as the th bridge over this pond upon entrance. *People should not throw coins into the pond; never healthy for the fish.

It is a well established building that the new management has done well to modernize, but so glad the kept the waterfall and koi pond feature! We had the buffet for te four of us. It was amazing, even my 6yr old granddaughter found a few favorites in the selection. Definitely will return.

Food was overall the best Ive tasted since being back in Southern Alberta. My only issue was the ginger beef. I asked for a little extra and I still couldnt taste the ginger and it certainly wasnt spicy at all, just sweet. I asked for a Canton setting and they had no idea what I was talking about but that wasnt really a big deal as I didnt expect them to know.

There wonton soups is spot on there garlic dry ribs are best in city there portions are huge and for what ypy get affordable also there staff is so polite and helpful and there fish pond the fish are so cute. Kid-friendliness: Kids will like it to even the picky ones cause there is various things

Arrived at 5 p.m. the food was only Luke warm! Not overly impressed..some of the foods like the curry chicken , among others had a faint taste of fish ..not overly impressed .. but the service was good.

I m always happy with the food when I order here. Although the ginger beef is not very spicy I ve started switching it out for Szechuan beef or chicken. We always end up with plenty of leftovers too, getting at least dinner and one other meal if not two more.

It is good for Korean taste as well. I recommand noodle, beef, pork and chicken. Actually everything.

They forget items in your order & don t care & then won t deliver. Eventually offered a credit but nothing for the inconvenience or more than the missing item. Seemed like a pain to redeem so probably never will.

Bathroom so dirty

Food is actually some of the better chinese in town. But the building is disgusting and should probably be knocked down or extensively renovated.

My sister ate there and if she could give zero stars she would. The food tasted old and after she ate there she had to throw up all night and she got diarrhea. So unless you want to get sick..... dont go there. Service was terrible as well.

The food is consistently decent, with quite a few items in the buffet. The staff are always friendly. It is pretty run down, and the pond with the fish is nice or, rather, it could be if they cleaned it. It is very dirty and kind of a turn-off for a restaurant. Which is why I only gave it 3 stars.

Got here early for Sunday buffet. Although selection was good the food was barely warm. Not at all what we expected and we wont be back.

Positive 1 is for the seniors discount. The food is horrible ... red inside the chicken and ribs. The food stinks. I ate a few raw carrot and celery sticks for 18.00. Most of the staff cannot speak any English and foods are not clearly marked. I miss the Regent and Sunday Dim Sum. This place is worse than Imperial China. Health inspector needed at both. Got sick a few hours later from the raw food I injested prior to seeing the red. Yucky all round ..not edible.

Take out order is rarely correct and they never respond when you contact them.

We had takeout delivered by Skip. Food was great, in particular the chicken chow mein was excellent. Portions were plentiful. Update: they now serve Ginger Pork, which is an abomination, and they are unable to tell the difference between Ginger Pork and Ginger Beef. Twice I have ordered Ginger Beef and received Ginger Pork. When I attempted to get this corrected, they were unable to deliver the Ginger Beef, and though I was then promised a refund, I did not receive it.

I recently visited this establishment with my family and were pleased with both the service, the quality of the food, and the prices. I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat inexpensively and well. Parking: The parking lot is a large open area near the establishment.

A lot hasnt changed at this location, same aging decore. Food selection is small since the name change. As for the food quality I would say mediocre at its best. I would look elsewhere if youre looking for a good buffet.

Terrible food. Luke warm. Batter with a sliver of chicken and the smallest shrimp possible. If you loved the kfc batter balls in the 80s, you will love. The young girl with bright hair was the highlight of our visit. I could hardly eat any of the choices as the taste was that bad.

First time there so wasnt sure how it would be,but food was good & prompt service.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. We were going out as a family to eat but were denied service and asked to because we had a LEGAL service (not a support) dog for our son with us. We pointed out what they were doing is illegal - but the manager insisted we would not be served because we had a pet with us. They are receiving a complaint on this.

We went for my birthday dinner tonight and food was just ok. The meat dishes were tough. Waitress was wonderful Dont get me wrong there. What was really upsetting is, was as we are going to pay. A family came in with a service dog. The manager man said they are not allowed with to dine with the dog. The family said they were there previously been in with the dog. He refused the family again. Note- the dog was a service dog. They said they will not be back. I explained to the man that they can not deny a service dog. He said he could. Informed him he needs to check the bylaws. A lady picking up her order said she would not go back. Obviously this person on staff does not know the laws on discrimination. We have gone for years through all the name changes and reopening of new names and the same people running it. We will NOT return.

Good place and ample room to come and sit, rather decent spread for the price and great selection on dessert! Although busy the service was well kept up with water refills and good replenishment of food in the buffet area. Super fun ice cream selection including bubble gum! There is also a really cool fountain and bridge upon entering with a fish pond!

Decent restaurant staff very friendly places clean good selection in the Buffay reasonably priced not a bad place to stop. If you need to get a quick bite food was tasty.

Food is good, generous portions, lemon chicken is especially good, we always have takeout, but never enough plum sauce and they never have enough chop sticks! Going to try another spot next time

My post keeps getting deleted! But heres another shot. So I ordered $70+ worth of food before Christmas for my hubby, 4 kids and I. My kids love Chinese food and begged to eat some so I gave in. Totally horrifying to find wood pieces in my rice. I almost choked and ran and screamed at my children to stop eating because I was scared theyd find wood too! (My hubby found wood in his) I called back, let them know everything and didnt seem to care at all. They sent someone to my house for evidence and to determine how much to refund me. I showed him the wood pieces and told him those were in my mouth and he was touching them with his bare hands looking at them forever, demanded all my food back and only refunded me $20!! When I told them my children could have choked and landed in the hospital or died, they didnt care at all, only care about how much they wanted to refund. How disappointing and wrong. Bad people, bad food!

It was good. When theyre able to provide more options like they did pre covid Ill give it a 5 star. I recommend giving it a shot.

We enjoyed our dinner for two very much. Chicken fried rice and two spring rolls comes with a choice of 40 dishes, we ordered shrimp and vegetables and lemon chicken . Had enough to take home for one large meal. All was served hot after a short wait. We will be back.

Worst wonton soup ever

We arrived at 6:30pm on a Saturday. There wasnt much food left on the buffet. The buffet never got refilled. Before 8pm they were cleaning it all up. It said they were open until 10pm.

We got Chinese on Easter Sunday for the family. We picked up and 15 mins later got a call that we had taken our order and someone else s (after being told both bags were ours) they demanded we bring it back immediately. We had already gotten to the other side of the city and the round trip would be 30 mins. We told them they legally cannot serve the food we took so we would be driving over for them to throw it out, which they sounded shocked about and needed to confirm with someone else. The lady on the phone stammered. We had hungry kids and didn t want to disrupt our family dinner any longer so we said we would drive it back at our convenience after our meal. During our meal we were called 8x telling us to hurry up and bring it back. We brought it back an hour later and they did not throw it out while we were there, they brought it into the food prep area. I m convinced they still served it. Why else would they hound us to bring it back so quickly considering they had already remade the order for someone else?! We did not open the bag but it s still covid and still illegal. We could ve put anything in that bag. EDIT: after receiving their response. Considering your hostess threatened to charge the food that was wrongfully taken unless we drove across town during Easter dinner to give it back I m sure you have our credit card info. I m not giving up any more time out of a day to drive to this establishment for a refund. If you wanted to, you would have done it there. Or at least said thank you or apologized at the restaurant. Seems like your hostess needs some retraining, the restaurant was not busy. It was Easter Sunday at 4pm.

Third time Ive ordered through Skip. Got very low quality food, no taste. Ordered Wor Wonton, as I have done twice before. Got tasteless broth with no veggies, a few mushrooms, and wonton that looked like they were stuffed with frozen, pre-made meatballs. Very disappointed. The spring rolls were doughy and tasteless, and Shanghai noodles just soaked in grease. Again, for the amount of money I spent, it will be a never again situation. Waste of food, and my money.

Excellent food! We arrived 90 minutes before close and there was an expansive selection of dishes and it not only looked delectable but every thing was cooked to perfection. I have travelled extensively including in Asia and this rivals anything I have eaten there. Service was friendly and prompt even though they were inundated with takeout delivery drivers at the front desk. The biggest surprise was that it was half the price I expected to pay for an evening buffet. Well done New Oriental! Highly recommended! We will be back! we came back, no need for masks anymore. Still my all-time favourite. Worth moving from Quebec just to be close to this place. Delicious!

Not an experience I would ever want to repeat. I should have looked into their health inspection reports prior to eating there. Lack of proper cleaning in the bathrooms on top of issues with the food.

So far this is the best Chinese buffet I ve found in Lethbridge area. Been here a couple times now and food was fresh, hot, and kept well supplied. Pricing is good.

Food was pretty good, definitely felt like my money was not wasted. The wings were excellent, surprised by the white fish being pretty tasty. Tried pretty much everything and nothing was bad except the ginger beef was very overcooked but that may just been the batch that was there. Other than that I would recommend it.

Walked in to order take out, the person seemed like they were confused about every part of our visit. I ordered szechuan beef, chow main and an eggroll. I got ginger beef, rice and an eggroll so at least something I ordered made it to me. I cant see very well due to an eye procedure done the same day and was not able to tell that I got given the wrong food until I got back home in Claresholm. I would go back and get the right food if their koi pond didnt smell so bad. Absolutely terrible.

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Lethbridge. I m not a fan of their buffet. My large Asian group always order from their regular menu and we re always satisfied. Great value for money! Recommendation: General Tso s Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and Ginger Beef

I really wanted to like it. Was not successful. Sorry guys. We were duped by the ratings which are low but higher then most others. My biggest discomfort is the entrance. The SMELL and the filthy koi pond. I just dont understand. Maybe owner is in hard times because of pandemic, really hate to critique negatively but I was offended actually by the general unkempt appearance and grungyness of this establishment. Will not be returning sorry to say. 1 waitress for the whole place ? She was the hostess seating people also AND settling the bill. Very sweet, I feel for her. Hope shes getting paid WELL. Zomggggggg. Their salt and pepper squid is perfection!!!!! I just ordered it and had it delivered, its hot crispy, its so completely amazing. My only sadness is that it only came with one pack of hot sauce. It was so fresh, the squid gave me its number and blew me a kiss. Ive had salt and pepper squid at some places that tasted and smelled like a night of bad decisions and a penicillin prescription. But this stuff is off the hook. You must order this dish. Its incredible. I ordered the dinner for one, and it actually came with an entire order of Ginger Beef, which was also amazing, fresh, super delicious and I actually dont even think I can eat all of this food. It was a really good size portion. Havent even tried the rice yet but the egg roll is delish.

This restaurant had delicious Chinese food and generous amounts of it. You order from the menu and they bring it to your table. No buffet due to covid rules, but they give you enough food that you have leftovers for the next day.

My first time here. I ordered a dinner for one. It seemed expensive for that but there was enough food to feed 3. I was surprised by how bland it tasted. This was the very first time in my life that I did not receive any soy sauce packets with it. It would have helped with the blandness. I overheard them tell someone that they have buffet on the weekend only.

Food here was really good. Had some as take out and was pleasantly surprised. Update: I went to the lunch buffet. It was self serve when I went. Everything was good. I loved the dry ribs, sweet & sour pork, & the chicken balls. They werent overly cakey and had subtle crispness. Nothing was dried out or anything. I went early though. I really loved their Yellow Cream Cake square. It had the most subtle flavor of mandarin orange. Although if youre a smoker. I dont think you would taste that. It would just taste like vnilla.

That being said my wife and I haven t found any Chinese in Lethbridge that are 5 star. Would rather save the money and get ma ma la Vietnamese as the food is priced the same and is better quality. If your craving Chinese than out of the 3 mentioned come here. Again no wow factor for me hence 3 stars.
