Good service good food

First, I love the atmosphere and look of the place and all the food I have had is great. The Caesars are also a 4/5 which is to say much better than the Kegs but not quite the archetype of Caesar that I yearn for. The spice level, however is perfect. (Do not buy a Caesar from the keg you can buy cold Clamato juice at home for much cheaper). The staff has also always been very friendly, if not a little distracted, bit that just adds to the charm. My only complaint is that some of the portion sizes are a bit inconsistent - particularly the Shepard s Pie thing which is more like a Shepard s lite snack-chilli that once sniffed mashed potatoes but could not commit to laying under a decent smattering of them.

Went for wings tonight and also ordered the small pasta salad. Out came the smallest bowl possible with just a few small pieces of cheese and tomato which they charged $9 for! Absolutely ridiculous. On top of that the wings were small with little meat on them. I know food prices are high, but thats insane

The service could be a little better at the VLTS..I noticed they dont come around very often and sometimes its only to select people... Drinks are good nachos were good. I like it but the food is a little pricier than what its worth.

A good size neighborhood pub in the middle of a strip mall. Tons of seating, good amount of VLTs and two pool tables for your gaming needs. The Shepard pie spring rolls surprised me with how good they are. One of my go to places while Im in Lethbridge.

This place needs better staff. Worst service Ive received in years! We had to ask the server to wipe our sticky table they cleared after we sat down, then we sat there for fifteen minutes before we finally waved down someone to take our order. We ordered appys yet she didnt bring plates or napkins so I had to ask. We ate our appys and ordered two more of the same yet were brought a completely different order. Not once were we asked how things were etc. Definitely dont recommend! Bathroom is filthy as well

Im sorry, I truly have tried for years to support the duke. I live around the corner and think it is time to move. The service tonight left me a broken man. The food was okay but I truly dont know how I could come back.

Took the chefs an hour and a half to make our meals. The wait was outrageous.

My bf decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and a beer before passing through Lethbridge tonight. He waited a good 15 mins without being serviced by any one of the three people working. The place was not busy. So he got up and left. As a server that has a passion for serving. This makes me believe strongly there is always room for improvement.Very disappointed!

I came in craving a shepherds pie to find that it s no longer on the menu. Ordered a chicken sandwich instead. Menu described it as being on French bread but sandwich was brought out on (beautifully toasted) plain white bread. This would have been fine except that the chicken breast wasn t cut or otherwise spread out on the bread so there was just a large part of the sandwich without any filling, it was just bread. The food was otherwise good.

We recently discovered the great wings of this place. Service is great and quick, price is good. I will continue coming for wings to this place.

Never have I ever had Chicken tenders that are crispy, soft and juicy all at once. Best one Ive ever had. My husband had a turkey sandwich with poutine on the side and it was also delicious. Atmosphere was friendly and intimate. Best Pub weve went to so far in Lethbridge.

Its a classic pub, with classic pub fare. I happened to dine for lunch, and it was pretty decent. The service was very quick, and the food was timely, even though we were a good sized group. I ordered the Manchester beef dip, and it was alright; things I liked and things I didnt. The good things were the sandwich contents, and the consistency of the au jus. The beef was tasty, the horseradish sauce, Swiss cheese and onions were all very welcome. The au jus was slightly thickened to a thin gravy consistency. Stuck to the sandwich really well. I wasnt thrilled that it was served on white sandwich bread instead of a roll. Im firmly in the camp that a good roll is the correct choice for a beef dip. Secondly, the au jus somewhat lacked beefy flavour for me. Mostly salty, and thats all. Overall, good experience. Ill be back, but there is room for improvement!

While the perpetually grimy and somewhat sticky atmosphere is only mildly compensated for with adequate wings, the front staff service was disappointing. I was thankful to have something to read, as I waited about 20 minutes for stuff to pick up my order. I was seated by myself during a quiet post-afternoon lunch. Having been seated at a table very close to the bar, I expected the staff to be somewhat attentive. The short interactions had with the front staff were impersonal and somewhat dismissive. The wings had good flavour and decent texture, but not enough to compensate for the price. This is not a place I would choose to dine in at again.

Ordered their new deep dish sqaure pizza, it sounded like it was gonna be amazing. In fact it was the most disgusting pizza ive had in my life. Extremely overpriced at $31.00 per pie. Will never go back to eat ever

th atmposhere is great, service is great, my wife enjoyed her meal, but mine was HORRIBLE. I odered pizza, thinking i was getting a nice deep dish pizza. What i got was foccacia bread, no sauce, a few toppings and cheese and bbq sauce on top. It was disgusting. I ate 1 peice, picked a few toppings and that was it. Apparently they just switched to this new pizza a week ago, i should have known something was up when the cook came out from the kitchen to see my reaction to the pizza. It is NOT PIZZA crust, it is FOCCACIA Bread, which is NOT PIZZA. There are other menu choices that woild have probably been better. I will not order pizza from this place again.

I went up to the bar, bartender refused to take my order. I had to wait for table service instead. Super slow and it wasnt even busy.

Ive been a fan of the pizzas at the Duke for a while now but I recently tried their new deep-dish pizza as thats all they now offer. Although it was decent, it was lacking in pizza sauce, or maybe thats not something they put on a deep-dish pizza. Also, I prefer a thin crust pizza. Their deep dish is basically a really thick crust, too much for me. Just a personal preference, and Im sure others will enjoy it, but I dont think Ill be getting pizza from the Duke any longer. Thanks anyway.

My boyfriend and I went for Wing Wednesday. We have been here many times before but the service was amazing last night. Our server Caitlyn was awesome and food came out super fast! Definitely recommend their wings and the deep fried pickles were better then anytime we have went before! Definitely sad to see that the potstickers were taken off the menu but the pickles made up for it!

Maddy is once of the best servers Ive had in a while. Very friendly and super involved always made sure the drinks were full. Will keep coming back!

Food and service are both inconsistent. Some days theyre both great, some days theyre both underwhelming, sometimes its 50/50.

Duke summed up in 3 photos: 1) $18 salad with 3 leaves 2) somebodys genius solution to fix the bridge 3) jukebox that ate our loonie for no reason

Me and my buddies always make a stop on Wednesdays, the staff is always so helpful, especially Alyssa and Mikayla!! Incredibly good beer specials and delicious wings!

Ive never been more well taken care of then when Im at the Duke. They employ superstars ! Mikayla, Alyssa and Jaimie are always on top of their game. Awesome place to be !!

Had the 69 cent wings, they were very good. Great kitchen and waiting staff, very friendly. Cocktails are great, I recommend the mermaid lemonade. Like a blueberry slushie without the ice.

Kitchen was slow yesterday, but the wings were really good.

I went in to play the VLT machines and I sat there for over an hour before the waitress acknowledged me. One thing I learned from working in the bars was even if the VLT players are regulars or they just have a water, if you continue to check in on them and cash the tickets if you hear them print off you will most likely make A LOT of tips from them.... they always day that nobody ever tends to them. I actually was very grateful to get a 600 dollar tip from a lady who had one water through the day but she was so pleased with my service she insisted. Food for thought. Id go back again anyhow. It seems clean and fairly comfortable inside.

The food was good, the pricing is comparable to other bars, and the staff were friendly. However for a Sunday it was horribly understaffed with only 1 server and likely only 1 cook. My friends and I waited 1h and 15mins to get our appies and another 25mins afterwards to get our meals. The server tried their best but with only 1 of them we struggled to get refills, condiments, and never did get napkins. Overall thr atmosphere is great, the food is good, the staff are friendly, but they are very understaffed and the wait times are horrible so be prepared.

First time ever going here and I was extremely impressed. We ordered a pitcher and it came out a little flat so they discounted it for us, and then when they found out it was my partners bday they comped her drink. Will definitely be going back

Stopped in here for some snacks and a drink. Food was good and service was amazing. They have pool tables and vlts, lots of tvs and a large projector screen.

Good beer selection, nice pub on the west side so you dont have to go downtown.

Went there last night after reading the reviews and was very disappointed. Asked for flats only and was told we re so busy they can t do that yet there was only 3 tables there eating. And when I did get my order I had exactly one flat and and the rest were the ones I can t eat because of a dental issue. Every other place in Lethbridge has no problem making this request and they are way busier than this place. Said half price wings and still cost almost 40 bucks for two and an order of fries with two pops. There was so much salt and pepper on the wings I couldn t eat them anyway. Wife ordered mild bbq and got something with such an amount of maple flavour it also was left on the plate. We ended up going to Boston pizza and had wings and pops there and was a lower price for better wings and got them the way we ordered them.

The wings are good with decent prices but the wait time to get any service is insane. Chronically understaffed so be prepared to wait an extra hour to get your bill and forget any refills on your drink. Update: I came back a week later and although the wait was still as long the atmosphere was so great I updated my stars. Update: I came back 7 months later and the service is still horrible.

Okay service but horrible ambience. I question the cleanliness of this locations considering there were multiple flys touching the food and even saw a spider on the booth s seat.

Food was amazing ordered the Grilled ham and cheese, and the Union jack burger so good! Went for a early lunch just after they opened was very impressed with how quick the food came, and bill was quite reasonable. Service was friendly and plentiful. Great pub food and atmosphere.

We did come at 30 minutes to close apparently but- service was horrifically slow, while a second staff member stood behind the bar doing nothing. Only appies we re available which is fair but the food was sub par. Jalapeño cheese dip was a white sauce with specks of jalapeño- no cheese to be found. Ketchup was almost brown- what? Okay I can complain more but I ll stop. Go there for drinks- sure. Eat first.

Our waiters was fantastic. The service was quick and friendly. The different varieties of wings were hot and delicious. The original 16 copper beer is always great. The bill was very reasonable. I would highly recommend the Duke.

Dry over cooked food, stale bread, cold fries. Ive given this place 3 chances and they have failed me all 3 times. The management doesnt even care to respond back. Never going back or ordering take out again.

I got a rueben sandwich with extra mustard and it was great. I didnt find the mustard at first and mentioned it on skip the dish, then found it. Sorry, Im not great at this adulting thing, so heres a good Google review to make up for it. The sandwich was good, the mustard had a good kick and the marble bread is a nice touch.

Staff is really great, especially the bartender, Isma! The new menu is way better and theyve really stepped up their game as a place to go in Lethbridge.

Fish and chips are sicko mode! So tasty and crispy! Service was great and staff very friendly! They have a Mexican bartender who makes amazing impromptu cocktails! Specials are student friendly and good atmosphere overall!

Its a great place for booze and food

Service was great! Pizza is surprisingly cheesy and tasty for how cheap it is. Mckaylin gave us amazing service and the drinks were very tasty as well! The guy behind the bar with the accent is awesome, very funny and makes real tasty drinks.

The burgers were huge! Great service by Matt and Noah was really nice and knows how to entertain his customers, the staff in general is very friendly and really good prices! Definitely gonna come back for wings!

This place is really customer oriented , Mackenzie constantly made sure we had everything we needed and food was great! The Winstons loaf was just on point and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Im a bartender and gotta say theres lots to learn from Geoff! He knows his drinks!

Used to be one of my favourite places to go watch flames games and now there s peanuts everywhere. Since I m allergic I m not able to go there anymore and that sucks

I was excited to hear the Duke was coming back, but then extremely disappointed when I saw peanuts everywhere. I am severely allergic to peanuts so I am no longer able to enjoy wings, perogies, or taco nights.

They have peanuts everywhere and for that reason it is a no go.

Awful service

I love the atmosphere in there, but the service was horrible. I guess the waitress thought flirting with boys was more important. Expected a little more from the food for its price.. ordered a starter and it came out with our meal and it was cold. Wasnt very bland food, good for your average drunk student but for someone looking to be treated professionally and have a decent meal I wouldnt suggest The Duke.

Came in for wings and Walia made it such an incredible experience. Her outgoing and friendly personality was better than the wings lol. 5 stars!!!
