We had two orders of veal cutlettes. It was overcooked and inedible. Tried to call and complain and they didnt care. It was overpriced and not worth it at all.

Amazing customer service! I ordered through Skip the Dishes, and part of my order was forgotten. When I called the restaurant, the manager personally delivered it to my house, AND a few extra coffee s!!

AMAZING service for being short staffed. The two waitresses that were working were very professional, friendly and did an above and beyond service. I hope management sees this post and recognizes and acknowledges the amazing staff that worked today (Dec 27/2022). They deserve a bonus !! Also the food was really good !!!

Old grey haired owner/manager was touchy and passive aggressive to my girlfriend who went in + we ordered the international breakfast and it came with no eggs and also the south west eggs benedict and that came with no pico de gallo or tomatoes twice in 2 days.

Worst place to eat The food was not cooked well the eggs were still raw probably that explains why we got the food after 5 minutes of ordering. The one serving us asked us what we need to drink before we even sat down to check the menu on what they have. The place looked nice but the restaurant not good at all. I assumed that s why we were the only customers for a couple of hrs I would prefer the south side restaurant to this.

Definitely recommend the Smittys on the south side better they actually make you feel welcome. This place was alright. Probably wont go back.

Boyfriend and I went for brunch early Sunday afternoon, and it wasn t overly busy. Probably stood and waited to be seated for around 5ish minutes. Had a server look at us and walk away, we then had who I assume was the manager seat us. We then waited around an addition 15-20 minutes for drinks. We had the same server that didn t seat us ask if had our drink orders taken, we then replied with no. All she said was oh, okay. Then walked away. It was again 5 minutes later the manager came and took our drink orders. We finally had who we assume was supposed to be our server take our orders and bring them out. Didn t see her again till the bill was needing to be paid. I must say this is some of the worst service I ve had, and it s because of the manager and the good food that I gave 2 stars.

The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is new and clean.

The manager came to our table as soon as he was on shift to check up on our service . We went on a Wednesday afternoon , kids eat for free. I tries the gingerbeef bowl...was Sooo goooood! Better than most Chinese restaurants in town . Shhh

The food was delicious. I had chicken alfredo. It was very creamy and delicious. My wife had a burger. It was juicy and lots of fries. Our waitress was wonderful! Our first meal in Canada--the bar is set pretty high.

The one on west lethbridge.... The waitress was doing some cleaning in the dining area when we walked in didnt bother to wash hands/sanitize before handing us over the menus. Brought us glasses of water and dived into cleaning again ( bucket and mop were visible in the dining area)....continued with cleaning process, when our food was ready she stopped went to thw kitchen grabbed the food and continued like nothing happened. Hygiene was gross just made it difficult to eat....

Smittys west is the best restaurant to go for breakfast and the waitress Cheryl is absolutely fantastic. We go every Friday morning and have our meal I highly recommend going Food : 5/5

Our first mistake was going on Fathers day, it was incredibly busy, so must have so that we stood at the entrance for about 10-15 minutes before even being acknowledged, seated shorty after, it was about another 15 minutes before any server came to take our drink orders, by this time we had already decided what food we would like, made the order, added a couple extra sides and waited, maybe another 10-15 minutes until we get our food (without the extra sides...), flagged down one of the servers to ask about our sides and the floor supervisor (or so I imagine) brought our sides, but not before my wife had enough time to finish her meal. After all the food was gone, we waited another lengthy amount of time before any of the empty plates were taken away and our bill to pay. We must have been in there for 2 hours (arrived around 10:30 and left around 12:30). The food was nice, but they definitely seem to be understaffed!

Delicious food. Had the pancakes with blueberries, omelette with spinach. Yum. Comfy booth, good and fast service. Great family atmosphere.

Bad service. It isn t busy. Took 30 minutes for someone to take our order Currently here and we are over an hour in and haven t had one coffee refill and waiting for our food still. Probably better if you skip the dishes I ve seen about 10 orders go out.

Would like to be able to comment on the food and service but sadly after being seated we waited for over 15 minutes without being able to get drinks or order from a server. The table adjacent to us arrived after we did and were well looked after, receiving drinks and placing their order. Unable to get any servers attention, we finally left.

The quality of food is very good, the place is clean

I wasnt particularly thrilled with the French toast. It didnt have the usual sweet vanilla flavor you would expect. They were short staffed, so that may have been part of it. One lady from our group, didnt want the hash browns, yet got a heap of them. Listening to the customer should definitely be at the top of the list when making sure everyone is at least content with their experience while dining.

Always a good place to sit down and eat. Good staff and decent food. Parking: Good amount of parking Kid-friendliness: Always have a good selection for kids. Staff is always great towards kiddos Wheelchair accessibility: Have a wheelchair accessible ramp up sidewalk and to door.

They had a sign for $9.99 breakfast special so our family of 5 went in on Friday when we got seated we found out the breakfast special had gone up to $11.99 ok no big deal then they said they dont have the special on Fridays so we left and went to Fat Burger for breakfast

We have eaten here on two separate occasions over an extended period of time. The food is consistently excellent as is the quality, the service is very good and the costs are reasonable. The wash rooms are very clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. I would highly recommend this spot and we intend on making it our go to spot for breakfast or lunch.

Eggs benny came cold. The eggs arent really poached and the hollandaise is not actual hollandaise but a corn starch based gravy. You can get better quality food and ingredients at a local spot for a similar price. Staff were super nice.

You get the usual smittys food but where this place stands out is the guy up front! I belive his name is Jerry, what a gem! Such a friendly guy makes you feel good just walking in the door!

Good olsmittys a family fav for breakfast, usually pretty busy on weekends from 8 to 1.

I live 3 minutes from this restaurant and I have always loved Smittys food so when this opened up I was so excited. I have gone there with my kids at least 5 or 6 times and each time Im more disappointed than the last. The food is fantastic (for what it is) but the service....there is something weird going on there. Normally in a restaurant, especially in a diner style, there is always a hustle and bustle of activity by the servers. Servers going here and there and making things happen. Every time I go to this particular restaurant however, its like they just disappear for a while. Its the weirdest thing. They will have 3 or 4 working (so more than enough) but for 5-8 minutes there will be zero, and I mean zero activity out in the dining area. Then they all come out and circulate and then disappear again. Are they also cooking the food? I cant explain it but I never get my drinks refilled and you have to wait for a long time just to get the bill. The first 2 or 3 times I figured it was just something strange but I went there again this week and same thing. I never did get my 2nd drink and we waited at least 15 minutes for the bill and its not like I will catch their eye as you would have to go find them in the kitchen. Finally after today I figured that was the last time. Great location, could be an awesome experience but I would stay away. Well actually go there once just to experience it. Its actually really funny. They just disappear.....

Re: food, I had the best of both worlds: an omelette that came with hollandaise sauce! I also enjoyed the crispy texture of the potato cubes and enjoyed the mild sweetness of raisin toast instead of pancakes. Re: service, I had to wait to pay. Re: atmosphere, some people like to talk loud...

Staff and owner were very friendly and although it was the waitresses first day, her smile and genuine polite personality made myself and my kids comfortable and smiling too. The food was good. Not to long of a wait. I ordered the 8 Oz steak and asked to have eggs instead of the mashed potatoes. The waitress checked and it wasnt a problem. The steak was really good and cooked just how I liked. The owner would come around and check on people making sure everyone was happy. The waitress kept topping our drinks and was very attentive. We will be back. This day and age good service with a genuine smile is hard to find. I would give 5 stars but the menu was kinda limited.

I visited this establishment a few times at first I was very happy the service was wonderful the staff was friendly the food was great. The last few times I have gone the service started to go down hill inparticlar to one waitress we waited long time for refills to pay our bill incorrect orders I asked her for what soup they have and its always cream or broth how ever there are two young girls that go above and beyond they make sure everything is good food is cooked right refills were prompt. So thank you to those 2 servers

Great food and service

My 3 year old son has severe allergies and I asked for no toppings on his jr burger. As you can see in the picture. The chef did not only just take the tomatoe off after mistaking the order. He sent the burger out like this. This is very upsetting as now I have to give my son benadryl for his allergies. Wrote the company and no one has replied to fix this. Being a chef this is very upsetting as obviously the cook was too lazy to make another burger without the extras.

Our visit was May 7th, 2022. No one was in the restaurant except for one person who was on a laptop near the kitchen. Im guessing he was staff since he wasnt eating. The greeter sat us down, took our drink order, then came back and said our server was busy. She acted like she was writing everything down we ordered, but came back a minute later asking how my husband wanted his steak. Then she left, came back again and asked what it was that we didnt want on our omelette, which was onions. My kids wanted crayons to color the kids menu. We asked twice and no crayons were bought over.. Finally our waitress made an appearance with the food. My plate was full of fries. I ordered steamed vegetables and let the waitress know. My husbands meal was supposed to come with a salad and she had to go get that as well. No onions became lots of little minced cooked onion and green onions on top.. We swept them to the side of our meal. The waitress returned after 5 minutes with the smallest bowls of salad and steamed vegetables. If youve had frozen vegetables from a bag, you know about the tiny bits in the bottom. Thats what I got! It was mostly carrots, with a tiny piece of broccoli and cauliflower here and there. I was hoping that Smittys would be as good as it was last summer when we visited. My good was so bland. I never salt and pepper my food at a sit down place. I dont have it, its flavourful. I had to super and salt and pepper. There wasnt anything there. I wanted to get up and leave and we should have. We shouldnt have paid for that. No one was in the restaurant so I dont know why the waitress was busy. I dont know why the greeter had to come ask anything about our order if she were writing everything down. And no, there wasnt anyone coming in for Skip the Dishes or Dash, pickups, etc. We were the only ones. We were beyond frustrated at this point. No restitution was offered. No tip was given. The service was awful. I cant recommend this location. Just a note, if the parking lot is empty on a Saturday at lunchtime, probably not a good idea to go in.

Food was excellent. Great portion sizes. Hot, fresh and quickly. Check on us often to see how the food was and if we needed beverages refilled. Excellent breakfast foods at very reasonable prices. Great west choice !

Not only was staff welcoming, they had great music to set the mood to visit family with. It was clean, welcoming and cozy. Meals were cooked well and decently priced.

Visited this location may 29, 2020 around 1:30 pm. We talked with a host who didn t not greet us. Just asked for how many and then sat us in the corner. They told us they would be back with utensils (they never came back with utensils. Just sat at another booth, wiping down menus) a server greeted us 5 minutes later and asked us what we wanted to drink. They brought back coffee and cream with still no utensils. We asked for some for a second time and received them with no spoon. The server told us they would be right back to take our order. 20 minutes later they returned laughing telling us they forgot about us. They really did, no check in, no refills on drinks. And they took our order. At this point I brought my timer on my phone out to time how long it would take for the food to get to our table. I went to the bathroom and it was absolutely disgusting. The floor was sticky and covered with urine and water. The toilet had stains all over the bowl and the mirrors were covered in water splatters. They hadnt checked their bathroom in 4 hours from the cleaning sheet inside it. I went back and waited another 36 minutes before the food came to our table. It was room temperature. Slimey and the steak wasn t cooked right. I saw another table complaining to the manager and I guess it wasn t his day. I called him over to complain as well and when he was given the complaints. He made excuses telling me that it s a Sunday afternoon. And they re busy. And he s doing the best and will let the server and host know about my complaint. I don t blame the server or host or kitchen. I 100% blame the management. It was poorly run. Poorly handled. And quite frankly horribly immature and irresponsible for a manager to not take responsibility and apologize but try to make excuses and blame his staff. Just awful

We arrived at 9:15 am on Fathers Day. We were seated right away, and our waitress came in a timely fashion, to bring us drinks and take our food order. However, we waited 45 minutes for our food. Nobody explained the delay. Very disappointing.

Coffee seemed a bit bitter but the food was okay. Dont remember the name of our waitress, but the host kid Caleb was phenomenal! Hes the one who got our drinks, and went to get the waitress to give us our bill after she was no where to be seen for a good 20 minutes. I tipped him more than i tipped her because he honestly did the better job.

Food is always fresh and good! Hash browns are always crispy and soooo good! We come here almost every weekend and they never disappoint. Highly recommend!

Not the best eggs benny

The service at this location is really spotty, often items requested are not provided and you need to ask multiple times. Today I was served raw chicken and was only given $3 off my entire bill despite that I am pregnant and this is a pretty significant concern. When I informed the waitress she took the plate, touched the food and then offered to put it back down in case I wanted to finish it which was really odd not only because I wouldn t eat it because it was raw but also because she had touched it. I would recommend just going to the south side location as I won t be going back here.

A nice little place to get brunch on the Westside or visit over coffee. Usually not too busy so you shouldnt have to wait long to be seated.

Food was delicious. We were there about an hour before close and it must have been a quiet night because they were cleaning early but still took us and fed us with zero dont want to be here attitude that you sometimes get with late dining. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

20220829 I couldn t leave a new review so just an edit. Amazing! Good! Friendly! We went to a local steakhouse, paid $250 and it was nowhere near the food quality of this Smitty s. My opinion still stands. This Smitty s is still THE place to eat! ********************************************* Friendly, fast, amazing food!! If you want to go out for Sunday brunch in Lethbridge you will not find a better place.

Delicious food, and great service. I really enjoyed the layout of this smittys and all the natural light. Open concept with more options of booths which I enjoy. We had two babies and they had a good selection of food for kids while also satisfying our own appetites. They offer cubed or shredded hashbrowns and were very prompt in getting drinks, napkins, etc. The parking is pretty tight and the location isnt ideal in the middle of a shopping centre but it is a great place to go! Kid-friendliness: Nice menu for kids for 7.99 including a drink, side, and either cookies ice cream mini donuts! 100% recommend trying this location!

Really impressed. Shredded hash browns were bang on. Sunny side eggs were a tad undercooked, but thats my opinion. Service was great. The coffee was nice and strong. Clean, cool and spacious. In the mens toilets the taps are loose and didnt really work and the soap dispenser didnt work. Good environment. Welcoming/ I used to go there for lunch until they starting serving just 2 kinds of soup. Havent back since then. The soup used to be good but current choices are boring. Service used to be really good.

Location is clean, staff provide good service. We were hesitant to go to this location based on the South side. Dont let that deter you, far better then the south side location!! We are glad we have gone and will go again. Timely for the west side to get a good breakfast joint.

Wonderful food and terrific service!

Food was good, service was good, would go again even with the prices on upward climb. However was very disappointed with the cheese cake supposed to be topped with strawberries. No strawberries just a syrup of imitation strawberry flavor.

The service was wonderful, the wait stuff was really friendly and professional. The food however was just really bland and definitely nothing to write home about. I had an omelet, the egg itself is really rubbery and tasteless.

The place was 100% empty. The server girl was a very sweet young lady. Prices are on par with all restaurants ( expensive ) They did however have a 2 can dine for 19.99 Single hamburgers, Fries Coffee was good, but wasnt ready when my first cup went dry. I blame it on no customers to be seen. Why brew coffee for an empty place?

This location does not have any of Smittys specials, ordered breakfast at a premium price, but the eggs, toast, and pancakes were cold. The first time visiting was fine, but on the second everything was cold and no remedy was offered, except sticking it back under the heat lamp.
