Always a joy coming here. I love their spring rolls and salad rolls. They are to die for. Their serving sizes are perfect for me and I'm a bigger dude. Impressed as always, my only complaint is I have to drive across the city to come here. Open a west side location!
very cute spot, loved all the plants they had as decor and they had a good amount of wheelchair accessible seating. service was good. food was okay, nothing too exciting but still good. not good enough for how much they charged though. I got #71!

I came in for lunch and service was quick and friendly. I had the #49 with charbroiled pork and spring rolls. For the price there was a good amount of food but the almost 20$ price will seemed high. I wish they used bean sprouts instead of lettuce or at least a mixture. The pork was very odd for a charbroiled pork, it tasted like Korean bbq which I normally like and it did take good but it's not what I expected. It was also very sweet. The spring rolls were good but not my favorite. Overall it was good for a quick lunch. I would come back and try a soup next time.
I visited Saigonese for Sat afternoon for late lunch. I used to go to their old location and was a big fan of the restaurant. They reopened as express style and I was very happy to have their food once again. The service was good, food was served quick. It is express restaurant but they do have dining area for you to eat your take out. I tried their beef and shrimp vermicelli and I thought it was a bit disappointing. It was $19.5 and it came with 3 small pieces of vey tough beef and a few shrimps. I expected more for the most expensive item but it did not meet my expectation. Also, it did not come with any other condiments but fish sauce. Vietnamese take out places usually have chill sauce, hoisin etc but they did not have any. Other items with pork looked better, next time I’ll get pork ones. I also had aloe drink, which was like light lemonade and it was refreshing, I enjoyed it. Overall, I like this place and I’d love to come back, I’ll try their pho next time!
Imagine my delight and surprise when I discovered my favourite Vietnamese restaurant that I thought had closed forever has reopened as Saigonese Express in a brand new location with just a slightly scaled down menu! I’m about to enjoy a #49 for the first time in over a year. ;)

Forced my parents to bring me here 4 times now.
No pho, no bun bo Huey. Bun bo Huey is the Saigon signature dish, was a little disappointed. Otherwise service was decent. If you re craving pho or bun bo Huey go elsewhere

I got the seafood soup and 4 hours later I was on the toilet fighting for my life from food poisoning. Don t eat here

They have NO veggie dishes. They have a veggie section but they all come with bone broth . So not sure why they have them in the no meat section, makes no sense. Pretty ridiculous not to have any vegan options in 2024.
Absolutely the best food in town hands down
Im usually a fan, however recent experiences has left me looking elsewhere, left 5 min on the phone so they could handle skip orders, incorrect order given, this place is going down hill quickly.

What a great reincarnation of one of our favourite restaurants. Thanks for keeping the original numbers of our favourite menu items. Dietary restrictions: They offer a lot of gluten free items. Parking: Best access is from the street rather than the avenue especially in winter.

Nice staff but it has to be the worst beef vermicelli Ive had in Canada. Very tough meet. It seemed like prepackaged meat? Unfortunately its wasnt just my meal. The others we very similar.

By far the best Vietnamese resturant Ive ever been too, customer service is very fast and very polite!. On to the food itself it ordered the number 49 and everything came together amazing. From the meat, to the spring rolls by far number 1. Keep up the amazing work guys
I m so happy Saigonese is back! We ve missed you! The 49s and 95s taste just as good as they always did. New location has not the best parking, and the tables inside aren t the most welcoming (you kind of feel in the way with 2 entry doors and a large counter), but the take-out is still great.
So glad to see this fabulous family return to serving Lethbridge some of the most delicious Vietnamese dishes I ve ever eaten. Their food is fantastic!!

I was excited to try them since they are close to my work. I got the #49 and really like the spring rolls but the charbroiled pork was funky. It tasted like how cigarettes smell. I couldn t stomach the taste at all. I love a good char broiled meat and smoked meat even but the pork tasted like an ash tray. The service and the atmosphere was great and other seemed to be enjoying it but I m not sure what happened to minen For the price I was pretty disappointed
Like many others, I loved the original location and was so pleased to see them re-open! The service was great, but unfortunately, the food was lacking both in terms of taste and portion size. Having only fish sauce as a condiment is less than ideal to enhance your dish. Since Saigonese initially closed, I have found better Vietnamese in town and cannot justify going back to Saigonese Express. I hope it s satisfying for others that have missed their food!

Their vegetarian options have bone broth .. false advertising. They have no dishes suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Lettuce wraps are the only option.

The ice coffee here is the bomb.
I ve been to their previous location for 20 years since I was little, then have eaten here 10-15 times. They re always friendly and the food is great, but in all honesty the prices are quite high now, in my opinion (especially for express experience) - I usually spend $25-35 just for myself. I would eat here much more often if that weren t the case.

Felt sick a few hours after eating the pork and shrimp on the vermicelli rice. Never felt so sick after eating something in my life. I don t think I got food poisoning or anything, but the pork and whatever seasoning or whatever it s cooked in was really hard for my stomach to digest. However my boyfriend had the pork as well and he s doing fine so maybe there was something wrong with just my food. Either way 1 star, if I could I d give it a zero cause I m not ever eating here again.
