Tried the food for the first time and thought the vindaloo had excellent flavours and a nice spice level. I ordered it medium heat and it was a significant heat level so can imagine their high spice level must be very intense. The beef samosas came out crispy and piping hot with 2 kinds of excellent dipping sauces. One was a kind of yogurt sauce and the other appeared to be a mild, red chili sauce. Will definitely return to try a variety of other things on their menu...
Nice place for any group size. We had lamb bhuna and chicken biriyani. Both were delicious specially the chicken biriyani. The restaurant has nice decor but little dated. Stuffs are very professional and friendly. Plenty of parking.
Rivaaz Indian Cuisine truly impressed me with its delicious offerings and generous portions. I ordered the Chicken Korma and Aloo Gobi, and both dishes were outstanding. The Chicken Korma was creamy and perfectly spiced, while the Aloo Gobi had just the right balance of flavors. The portions were so generous that I had to take some home, making it a great value for the price. One standout feature of my visit was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The bathroom was spotless, which added to the overall pleasant dining experience. It’s always reassuring to see a restaurant maintaining high standards of hygiene. However, there was one small hiccup during my visit. When I asked for onions, I was surprised to find they charged $2 for them. This felt a bit odd, as most Indian restaurants typically provide onions as a complimentary side. While it didn't detract too much from the overall experience, it’s something to be aware of. Despite this minor inconvenience, Rivaaz Indian Cuisine offers fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. The quality of the dishes and the cleanliness of the establishment make it a place I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine. I'll definitely be returning for more!
Best Indian food in Lethbridge by a long shot! Staff is great. Very friendly. Clean, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere. The food is incredible. Coconut chicken is my personal favourite, but after trying the lamb kabobs and the vegetable manchurian... Im struggling to pick a favourite now. Guess I'll just have to order it all.
Great tasty food. Pretty reasonable for the price. Very spicy but with a nice raita sauce to cool down your mouth. Nice buttery garlic naan.
Service is bad, so slow food takes forever to come. Sorry to tel but Butter chicken doesn't taste like butter chicken, it tastes more like I'm eating tomato sauce.We also ordered chicken tikka which had rice(suprisingly) it was filled with more rice than chicken. Definitely not recommended Samosa chat tastes okay
We stopped into Rivaaz after doing some holiday shopping for a casual date night dinner and we were so pleased with our experience. The food and service was outstanding! The quality, flavor and portion sizes exceeded our expectations. The place is very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. What else can I say?! We will definitely be back! We've been looking for the perfect Indian restaurant in Lethbridge, and I think we found it. 🫶
Had a lovely experience at this place. Totally impressed with the owner and staff behaviour. They were extremely polite and welcoming. They served exactly what we wanted and whoever we interacted they were very generous. Coming to food, this place offers a good range of Indian cuisine with fine taste. Loved their food. We ordered vegetarian as well as non vegetarian dishes and both were equally good. Especially if you are looking for Indian over hot spicy curry then you can mention it to the hotel staff and they will customise the dish just according to your taste. I loved gobi chilli and mango milkshake the most. We ordered pizza which was okay not great. But all other food items like biryani, Kadhai paneer, special masala naan etc were delicious and just as we ordered. They have drink menu as well so you can have drink of your choice and they have very good tea available so all the chai lovers must try that if you visit this place. Just outside the hotel, there is a spacious parking lot and the hotel is on ground level so easily accessible for wheelchair. They have neat maintained washrooms. Overall had an amazing experience at this place.
We ordered paneer tikaa masala and shahi paneer with tandoori naan and tandoori rotti. Food was to delicious and finger licking apart from this , management and owner is very friendly with customers. Amazing thing is this, Rivaaz is Indian restaurant but all communities prefer this restaurant rest of all. Vegetarian options: shahi paneer and paneer tikkaa masala
Excellent dishes
Ordered Samosa and Tea for 6 people. Samosa was really good but the Tea was just hot water. There was no flavour of Indian tea, no ginger or cardamom. Took half n hour after committed 10-15 mintues. Please don t order tea if you know real Indian tea flavour.

Ordered take out. The food was good, but the restaurant is poorly renovated, and it feels a bit grungy. Will order take-out again, but most likely wont eat in.
The food is exceptional every time!! Our favorite is the butter chicken, but the fish tikka is a close second. Prices are very reasonable, and servings are hearty! Many gluten free options available as well.
We arrived late for dine in they almost done with there closing but they let us do dine in much appreciate that, food was awesome as usually. Girls in front borsha, purbi, alka were doing great job.

I ordered off Uber eats. I cancelled it because I wanted to change the order. They refused to refund me or offer any credit. Nor did I get warned I d be out $70 if I cancelled. I know this is also Uber eats fault but I find it slimey that they kept the money and did not reach out to me. It s unfortunate that I will never be trying this restaurant it does look good. However, I refuse to support a business that does that. Very disappointing and I m out $70 and nobody tried to reach out.

Poor costumer service and the food was not up to standard. Panner lababdar and panner tikka masala was extremely oily. Tandoori roti was undercooked. They used a lot of food colour in panner. If you guys want to taste authentic Indian food, I would recommend you guys to go to The Mango tree or New taste of India.
We chose this place above the others due to the great reviews and great pictures. Honestly, there were so many flies at our table that we asked for a towel and spent our entire time there killing flies. My friend wanted to leave but I really wanted to try the lamb rogan josh. Sadly, I should have listened to my friend and left when he said flies were all through the bathroom. In short, the service is fine but slow. It took almost an hour to get our food in an empty restaurant. My lamb curry was cold and completely flavourless and my friends butter chicken was fine but seemed like prefab meat. The manchurian chicken balls tasted nice but they were mostly wheat and filler. And the flies! Omg they need to get fly strips and clean up the kitchen. Then my friends stomach was upset which did not make the trip back pleasant. Anyway that was our experience. Obviously we wont go back.

worst customer service i ever received in my life. we visit there to celebrate birthday but the staff spoiled our whole mood. if they wanna close the store exactly at 10 then they should not offer customers for dine in . we were almost done and time was 10:03 and the girl on reception start saying loudly and rudely to show us that we are late we wanna go home and other stupid stuff. one friend of mine was literally having his late few bites of food but there behaviour literally forced us to left our food on table and we had to left the food in between. worse staff . i will never recommend anybody to visit there.

Really really bad service. Food take years to come. They only prefer online orders. We were four people eating and didn t get single serving spoon. When I asked the girl she was so rude. I asked her you should give it in the beginning but she kept saying that it s your responsibility to ask. I was shocked that she was so arrogant and didn t even apologize
It was really a very bad experience.Like they were more concerned about other people not about Indian community feels like they are racist .The girl was so arrogant who served the food to us. Ate there again today..Very good service from a young man and later by owner..Great Indian food. Being from the Vancouver area and have been eating good Indian food most of my 66 years, have found the food very good..And as for the persons comments below me about the tomato sauce in the butter chicken, butter chicken is made with a spicy tomato sauce and butter..Obviously youre not familiar with it and dont realize the people of the Indian continent have been putting these flavours together for thousands of years. Theyve got flavour down pat..
We ordered delivery and the Chicken in our Coconut chicken was so tender. There is not an abundance of chicken which is not a surprise but it was incredibly good, and quite a lot of sauce. Very reasonably priced and came in a good timeframe.
Rivaaz is one of my go to restaurants. The food is delicious. I especially love the Bhuna and the lamb kabobs!

Just excellent food. Our host was very friendly and down to earth. We both had the lamb kabobs and they were very flavorful. Great fresh Naan bread and more than enough food. I highly recommend. Try the deserts too!!

I have been to many Indian Cuisine restaurants, and this is the best place eat.
This is our spot for fresh and authentic Indian food, always consistent quality taste wise and the portions are plentiful lacking nothing. Weve had the chicken biryani couple times now, and each time we had the same positive experience. The chicken is juicy and lots of it, and the rice is just perfect, you can actually taste and see the cumin seeds, Corriander and the cloves, and it comes with a raita on the side in couple different variations. Do try their mango chutney as well, its delightful. Very satisfied with the customer service,both on the phone and in person. They are patient, punctual on the food dellivery timing and very friendly and courteous in person . Looking forward to trying all the other items on the menu, which is also an abundant one, offering curry dishes and specialty authentic food. Its a YES from us, we recommend Rivaaz as the spot for Indian food experience.

Honestly, it s the best there is when considering Indian food. I have had a lot of Indian cuisine but nothing comes close to Rivas. s food. Give them a try. You will not regret it.
This is quite possibly the best Indian food in Canada! The Saag Paneer with chicken was amazing, the Keema Naan - amazing, and the chicken Tilkka Masala very good and different
Ordered for pick up and wow !! Thats all I can say, hands down the best Indian food Ive ever had ... I first learned of them donating food and time to the soup kitchen and was very eager to support them. I am so glad we did . My toddler also loves loves love the Butter chicken !! Winner winner chicken dinner !! Also the customer service was incredible, friendly and very clean establishment. PS Food portions are huge !! We got 1 butter chicken and 1Tikka masala chicken , two rice , and 2 garlic naan and it easily fed 3 of us with left overs for another 2 servings .
This is officially our go to Indian resturant! Seriously the best Indian food Ive had in a while. Specially the best Naan bread and vegetable samosas. Prices for every thing we got was also amazing! We will for sure be back!

We went there last week and tried chicken tikka(appetizer) it comes with rice and salad it was really good and will try again. Then in main course we ordered Lamb roganjosh which was 8/10 and kadhai chicken 5/10. We also ordered two naan breads with this. Naan bread was bit thick even we requested them to make it thin but second time it comes the same. Servers were really friendly and atmosphere also family friendly.

The absolute depths of flavor in every dish here was mind blowing. The naan bread, beef bhuna curry, lamb kebabs, and especially the pakora are absolute must trys! Our server was super friendly as well! Overall, a great place for authentic Indian food!

We were visiting Lethbridge from Edmonton and on the basis of review credibility we thought to order our dinner from Rivaaz however greatly disappointed with the taste. Garlic naan were so thick, specially asked to make our saag paneer medium spicy but all you can taste is chillies(it was made super hot), daal tadka has no salt and flavours. Overall really disappointed as we expected to have a nice dinner and totally not worth the amount we spent.

Went in with a group and ordered a large amount of food. Been coming to Rivaaz for a few years and the quality has decreased dramatically. Food used to be very good, but was bland and without much flavour today. Our drinks were also flat. Used to enjoy coming here but not so much anymore.

I hope this place stays in Lethbridge forever. Seriously, look at that pizza! (First time trying the butter chicken pizza today and both I and husband loved it). Its great value for the food as well. The Bengan bhartha is great also. (Vegetarian) The chicken Biryani is the best Ive had. (Id list more of what Ive tried but Ive loved everything so far...) So far Ive only had take out since I usually like to just sit at home and be cozy to eat. Anyway. Im happy I decided to try this place a few months ago when I realized there was an Indian restaurant there.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and we were given such great hospitality from the owner and his workers who were present. He went above and beyond to make sure all our food needs were met and recommended such great food for us to eat on the menu. We will definitely be back and we will send friends and family here. Please don t listen to the bad reviews as this place should be #1 in Lethbridge.
Best food ever , we order delivery most of the time but when we do come into the restaurant to eat we are made to feel like family. :) side note: I ve got nut allergies and they are very accommodating about that stuff, I feel very safe when ordering from them

Went in for takeout and got prompt and polite service. Unlike many restaurants, they don t grab for a tip on the debit for just getting take out. The highlight tho was the food -AMAZING . Truly truly enjoyed it. Feel full, happy, and satisfied . Great price too .

We are regulars at Rivaaz, and the service, food, and atmosphere is always enjoyable. We love returning here, and we always recommend this place to our friends who love Indian food. The spice levels are fantastic. Our friend cant tolerate spice and there are dishes he can order and enjoy, while me and my other friend enjoy a touch of spice and can enjoy the menu. The staff are incredibly friendly. The tables are always clean, the cutlery and glasses are also clean, and the food is always prepared really well. The restaurant is well kept. We will keep returning, and enjoying!
Absolutely outstanding food and service every time we come. The presentation is beautiful, and the flavours can t be beat, the spice level is tailored to your preference. The location is very clearly loved and looked after by the owners and staff, who are very attentive to their customers. We ordered the Shahi Pizza. So good! One of the best pizzas we have had in a long while. A true gem of an Indian restaurant! Would order this pizza again and again and again . Plus I had the pizza to go and they have curb side pick, as I have a disability, this option is very much appreciated!

Fabulous food everytime we go!! We had the absolute pleasure of being served by the owner, a gentleman who pleasantly chatted with us and made suggestions for us to try. Food was so good we went twice in 2 nights! We ordered several different dishes to enjoy and each bringing their unique flavors to enjoy. The garlic nann bread is amazing! My friend only eats vegetarian recipes and he loved it! While working in town we wont go to another Indian restaurant only here. Definitely our go to spot from now on! I dont usually write about restaurants but I couldnt miss an opportunity to share how great it genuinely was to eat here. Had an delciuosly amazing dinner here on October 25 . Mr. Gurudev the owner of the restaurant was our server for that evening polite, friendly, courteous , a very pleasing personality.He made our evening special,as have dietary restriction being lactose and gluten intolerant he took special care of it. So far the best fish tikka,lamb kabab and chicken tikka masala in Alberta. Highly recommended.The resultant is very clean and spacious with ample parking lot.

Major rip of for price, only 4 snall Pieces of chicken in the butter chicken for 17$ and doesn t even come with rice. Will not go again.
