We are lovers of all things Craft! Three-cheers for Crafted Beer, Cocktails and Crafted Cuts of Beef!
We had an amazing experience thanks to Madi! The meal was fantastic, and she made it even better with excellent service and a great sense of humor. She was attentive and personable and brought such fun energy to our table. It made the whole dining experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend both the food and the exceptional service!
Stayed at one of the hotels nearby on a work trip and enjoyed a great meal here. The place was happening! Great local beer on tap and seasonal menu. Had the Beet Fritters and Beef Pot Pie… so good. If I’m back I’ll be returning.
Aylin was our server. We had an excellent experience and the food was terrific. I highly recomend this elevated menu for casual to fine dining.
The menu offers a wide selection with something for everyone. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, with portions so large that all of us needed take out containers. The atmosphere is perfect, not too loud or closed in. I will definitely return and bring more friends
Very friendly service and nice atmosphere. The food was good, but nothing over the top. We had the prime rib dip sandwich, the steak oscar, and finished with the carrot cake.
My husband and I ate here on 19 May 2024. I ordered a sous vide Sirloin, with garlic mashed, and almond green beans. When we arrived, the hostess seated us and our waitress came to greet us right away. She was friendly and welcoming, but really hyped the food. She made this restaurant sound like it was a super high end place with food to match. Sadly, it was not. First, my steak was maybe 1/2 an inch thick. I'd asked for it be cooked medium. It arrived medium well. How the chef managed to over cook a sous vide steak is a mystery. Perhaps the thin cut had something to do with it. The waitress said the almond green beans were amazing. They were not. They had simply been quickly blanched and tossed in a pan with some olive oil and almond slices. They had next to no flavour. The garlic mash had one thing going for it: it was made with real potatoes. Unfortunately, added to those potatoes was what tasted like a pound of salt. I found this quite disappointing as it was obvious the chef had not tasted the food before serving it. The food wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't high end, or worth the $36 we paid for just my entree alone. I will say, however, that the New York Cheesecake was excellent. Apparently baked from scratch by their sous chef, it was creamy and flavourful, and the crust was divine!
I had the steak sandwich medium rare with Side of rosemary fries and coleslaw. Added some shrimp for good measure. Tasty steaks and all around a great meal. Tempted to try some of their better cuts next time. This place has quite a history of professional family butchers. Check it out!
I'm always happy to try a new restaurant and from the outside this place looks great. Walking in we saw the aged meats which I guess is neat but not my thing. We waited over 5 minutes at the front waiting to be seated which was odd because the restaurant was not busy and it seemed like some staff was just standing at the bar. We were told the only table we could have was a tall table and I really dislike tall tables. There are some interesting things on the menu and if we'd had more time and I didn't have to drive I would try some cocktails. I had the prime rib sandwich with fries and I have to say I was disappointed. The flavor was bland and overly creamy because of the horseradish sauce and the au ju didn't really have a "beefy" flavor. I liked the bread but the French fries were all small and more like fry crumbs. My hubby had the fish and chips and he liked it but said it wasn't anything spectacular. They don't have a kids menu but rather small plates options. I strongly dislike when restaurants don't have a kids menu. Overall I was not impressed with this place and there isn't much to make me want to come back. I would also like to point out that the small plate chicken strips is pretty much the same size as the fish and chips portion and the price difference was a lot.
Our food was excellent. We had a very attentive and great server who made the evening very enjoyable.
nice separate room for staff Christmas party Parking: N/A Food : 5/5 |
Came here for our work Christmas party..(General Dynamics Land Systems thanks you) Rocked a few old fashioneds.. the New York Strip was ace, if the big boss man hadnt explained that I probably shouldnt get a 300 dollar Tomahawk on the corporate card I would have, although the Strip was good enough I may get that Tomahawk steak on my own dime. Saw a REAL short guy get out of a massive truck in the parking lot. Could not have been a better evening!
I would like to try the place but prices starting at $30+ the food needs to be really good. But hiring cooks at $17 an hour leaves me a bit concerned about the quality of the cooking as well of some poor reviews.
The website says polished casual dining but there was nothing polished about this experience whatsoever, not worth it.
Vegetarian options: The egg plant fingers were delicious Food
Terrible experience. Waitress was sullen & rude & not helpful, no menu suggestions told us to just look at the menu for beer and wine. Then spilled an entire beer & Pepsi all over us with very little apology. We left and will not be back.
So we went to brickstone our servers name was Maggie. She was absolutely awesome, so kind. Friendly brought us some samples did in amazing job. Made us feel welcome. Cant say any more about her ...place was beautiful.Food was good beers were great
always an excellent experience at brickstone. their menu is very well done, and if you haven t tried the nachos you re missing out !! shoutout to the two servers i ve had many times (grace and tanisha) you girls are AMAZING and always on top of it even when it s packed. steven and charlie also need some recognition for their hard work in the kitchen ! well done brickstone !!
Its a pleasure to enjoy such a excellent meal! Prepared to and served so well. Thank you!
Great place for steak!! Service was fantastic.
Good place to eat. They have great fettuccine alfredo. Food
Had the ribeye with an infused butter and it was the best steak I ve had in quite a while. Sides and drinks were also well executed and delicious.
The food was amazing! The restaurant is full but our server did her best to accommodate us! The perfect place to have my birthday supper!
It was great! Not one complaint. Highly recommend! !
Served an awesome turkey dinner
Great food and service!
Excellent burgers . First time dining here . Waitress was first class
Great dining experience and wonderful food!
Pretty good restaurant with decent food. The food is a bit pricy for what you get, but its not bad. Our server was amazing and super nice.
The food was not as great as it was 6 months ago, Im not sure if they got a new chef but the steak was underwhelming. Prior to this visit it was absolutely amazing. Hopefully a once off and a bad day but when your paying for an amazing steak thats what you expect, also the salmon was over cooked. If you go give the risotto a try its quite delicious.
Mediocre. Had the Prime Rib Dip. The fact that the fries were the least greasy part of the meal should tell you something. Otherwise it was all pretty bland. Service was ok. Nice looking place
Update to my review from last time. Service has definitely gone downhill. How disappointing Great food and friendly service.
Wife went into labour shortly after dining here. Had the Chicken Marsala. 10/10 would dine again.
I had French Onion soup, which was OK, Ive had better. I had the blue burger as my main and it looked small. The burger meat also was very dry. There was plenty of fries and I had to ask twice for ketchup, before getting it.. The Chai tea was fine with the side of extra cream from the kitchen. I dont plan on returning.
Really great place, little pricey but the service makes up for it. Bonus that the patio is pet friendly! Food
Ordered a steak sandwich came out perfectly cooked only issue was there was literally no season on the thing also the bread was stale. Also got a coleslaw tasted like sour milk and then to end it off after everything I pay $90 and a drive home full of dissatisfaction.
We were at the Brickstone on Friday night for their grand opening. We liked it so much we came back Saturday night.. The food was amazing both nights, and so was the service.
Pretty good
Thursday night Food was great, Our waitress was amazing, but the hostess was an absolutely horrible. There were 2 other groups outside at the time and they all said the same thing they felt like she didn t even want you in the restaurant she was so rude not polite not a good thing. Our waitress was so great! I think some training is needed.
The food and drinks were good, but our server Amy was fantastic! She managed our large group with kindness and professionalism.
What a great place, food was amazing!
Had salmon ...It was amazing. It was a bit busy and did not like the table, but other than that it was good. Good food. Dont change the chef:)
Tried this place for the first time last night. Our waitress was great, she was very friendly and we never ran out of drinks. I ordered a watermelon mojito and it was delicious. The bar tender was also awesome and was more then willing to make a drink that wasnt on the menu. Other than that it was a mediocre experience at best. The place was very busy when we arrived which lead to over an hours wait for the food (not really the staffs or managements fault, they cant control how busy it is). When the food came out, everything looked okay except my boyfriends $50 rib eye, its definitely not worth $50. It was for the most part grey with a few grill lines. Usually overfull bowls are a good thing, but they put the salad in such a tiny bowl you cant even eat it, you have to pick it out of the bowl piece by piece. They charge $2.50 for a teeny little thing of gravy that tasted like flour, I dont recommend trying that. Management offered a free dessert due to the wait time which I appreciate. The ice cream was hands down the best tasting thing of the evening. Overall, I find them extremely overpriced for the quality/quantity of food you get. I dont think Ill be back.
Website says it closes at 11 but at 10 they wanted to serve appetizers only. Curious choice to remain open past the time where you actually want to serve regular food.
Good food but service was a bit slow for lunch hour.
My wife and I stopped in Lethbridge while travelling home from B.C. and had 2 meals at Brickstone. Both meals were excellent and the service was great. As a Celiac I was extremely impressed with the options available. The kitchen even made a gluten-free gravy for my meal. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Lethbridge.
Been here a few times for lunch with my clients and we have had nothing but an awesome experience. Awesome quick service highly recommend stopping in! They have great food I suggest the brisket quesadillas 100% lots of beer on tap to choose from as well.
Vanessa C and crew were fantastic tonight (Friday stampede!) and had the TV s on all the right channels. Tried the aged steak - highly recommend if you re even doubting it. Chef s Kiss. Service and food were perfect. Thank you!
The service was great, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We will certainly be back!
I ordered a meal to take to my room at my hotel. It was a type of chicken burger and a side Caesar salad. I paid approx $24 plus a tip for something that Wendy s would have made better. The chicken was tough, the salad tiny and had an over zealous amount of capers. Very unfortunate and I won t trust a takeout meal from here again.
Took forever for r food to come and it wasnt busy. Ordered there club house . They used real chicken breast and it was very dry. So we wont be back. Food
Fantastic service with great food. Kaylee the server is fantastic!
We found the food to be very bland and what flavour it had, tasted odd. We had the quesadilla with chicken (chicken was tough and just lack of flavour) and the creole buttermilk chicken burger. Very disappointing.
The Chef and Waitress when above and beyond to make my meal onion and garlic free.
Fantastic food and staff! Our waitress and the chef were extremely accommodating to a complex allergy at our table - including making a custom meal
Food was good and our server was excellent.
Place was not busy at all. Service was great. However, ordered a brisket quesadilla and it came with no brisket. They forgot to put it on. Sent it back and they just put brisket in which is ok I guess but normally dont you remake an order? Also, my water glass had big lipstick stains on it. Gross. Since it wasnt busy, perhaps making these small discrepancies better would have been a priority.
Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious! Love the infused salt options aswell and potatoes are always a perfect consistency.
Had the grilled pork chop and seafood linguine. Both were excellent. Server Leanne did a great job. Friendly and attentive to our needs. It was a great experience.
I have visited this establishment twice, and both times the service was absolutely horrendous. Hoping for improvement, my wife, daughter, mother-in-law, and I decided to give it a second chance for dinner. However, our experience did not improve. We ordered drinks and appetizers, but our drinks arrived after we finished the appetizers, as there was nobody attending the bar. We were then forced to order another round of drinks because the servers took so long to attend to our needs. My eight-year-old daughter and I shared a tomahawk steak, which was no bigger than the steaks my wife and mother-in-law had, yet it cost $200, which we found absolutely ridiculous. I wasn t even given a steak knife with it. Again waitress never came back to check on us. The bill came to $470 for appetizers, dinner, and a couple of rounds of drinks completely overpriced for the terrible quality and service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.
Our waitress Steph was amazing! Always on the ball! Great customer service, super friendly for our large group! Went above and beyond!
Excellent food
Went to try again last try and wow massive salt bomb possibly cause they saw my original review. But mouth burns from salt in the risotto wow. I have been working in lethbridge off and on for 6 weeks. I have been to this restaurant many times. I have experienced a good portion of their menu. So here goes the prices are a bit high for the consistency and quality. Simple things like rosemary fries are never consistent. One visit coated well, and another visit after thought while the waitress was walking out of the kitchen cause that is the amount of spice like a whisper in the wind. As for the ribeye, well tender but lacking flavor and the cut was like a prison pork chop. Not to mention a massive amount of uncooked fat throughout the cut. The only reason why I keep going to this establishment is that my company pays for it, so its not my money. If it was, I would not spend it here. There are more things wrong, but there is no point kicking a dead horse. Overall, ok for small city eatery but not worth your real money better places in other places.
Vanessa and Cooper provided excellent, attentive service. Even though it was packed, kitchen was fast. Enjoyed our meals!
Great beef dip
Food was tasty and definitely will return. Server was helpful in making our food choices. Many options for gluten free which was nice to have choices! Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options
Great Date night spot.
Just ordered 2 steak sandwiches, order 1 was supposed to be a medium steak came back rare if lucky! Both steaks were horrific cuts do not recommend the gravy paid 4 $ for an entire teaspoon of mushroom soup potatoes were great lol and came to 75 dollars, coleslaw had no dressing Food
I ordered the Steak Sandwich I have to say it was tough to eat very chewy and did not look like it was grillled and no seasoning ! The fries were so salty I seasoned my steak by touching it to the fries! Very small steak for 30 dollars. Kaylee the bartender was very pleasant and professional!!
I had the baby back ribs and my wife had a steak sandwich. Both were Luke warm not hot. My ribs were tender enough but no caramelization on the sauce, and only sauced on one side. Under side looked boiled. The steak was tender but cold. Not enough seasoning and not grilled enough. Sides were good. Caesar salad and risotto. Are all your meats sous vid? That s the conclusion I came to. No essence of the grill or flame and needs more seasoning.
Ordered the seared tuna salad. Got very sick later that evening and so did another person from my party. Not sure if it was the tuna or the greens but hesitant to go back.
Food was delicious (Alfredo sauce was awesome!) , service and atmosphere was perfect
Took my girlfriend on a date disappointing experience for the both of us if you pay top dollar for dry aged steak at least trim the dry off properly super hard edges on the 145 dollar porter house
This was one of the best dinning experiences I ve ever had. The steak was amazing, service was great, and I m definitely going back again, next time I m in Lethbridge!! If you haven t been here yet, it s well worth the visit.
Excellent service and the food was incredible!
Nice place! Stopped in for a late lunch and the food was really good. Surrounded by newer hotels so the prices are up there.
Me and my fiancé decided to give this place a try since we were in town seeing some friends. It is not worth the money or the stomach ache it gave my fiancé. The waitress was fast and efficient only good thing about this place. Wouldnt recommend it go somewhere else.
I have been going here pretty regular for the last few weeks, they are always out of certain beers, cocktails are pretty good especially the smoked ones. Food is mediocre with their best dish being the prosciutto wrapped chicken. Staff are friendly but don t bother remembering the guest names very well. Prime rib dip, they don t give enough Au Jus and the sauce on the bun doesn t pair well with the prime rib which was dry Corned beef sandwich, the meat was dry and barely above room temperature Risotto I had as a side and was undercooked
Food was awesome and the waitress was very nice to definitely recommend this place to everyone. Its the best out there
The food was pretty good. Was a little surprised by the rib eye, never had a rib eye that was that skimpy
My DIL and I went there for lunch. Was very noisy because the upper deck was full. Our waitress, gave us a heads up that there might be a delay because of the size of the party. All good. Food wS excellent. We had shared an appetizer, the mushrooms! So good we then shared the berries and brie, were a bit disappointed in the 3,small fries, but if was still very tasty. We were there during brunch time so we shared a Benny. It too was well done. We should have asked for the, garlic aloli that they served with the mushrooms instead of the ketchup. We had the corn and bean salsa, sometime that kind of sides fall flat but I was pleasantly surprised that it had a light fresh quality to it. The chocolate cake, almost beat us but we won. I will definitely be going back!!
The steak was very tough. Ordered a New York strip. Dont know what it was. Very disappointing.
Lots of area to sit. By hotels good location Menu for sandwiches around $20.00 Craft beers on tap yuck. Service : 3/5
Not as nice as I expected but clean and new. Server was nice once she knew we where there after 20 mins , making us completely miss the happy hour specials. Steak was under cooked which is rare for medium rare , pun attended. I would say average but priced high. Has great potential but they have some things to work out still I think
Heard about this new spot with great gluten free buns for their handhelds and that is true - very good. we both ordered a lunch feature 15 minute Sandwhich and side special it took at least a half hour - a corned beef with the corn chowder which was small but very tasty and the beef dip with gf bun and fries although those were not celiac proof but cross contamination doesn t impact me as I m not celiac. The beef and bun was very good the dip/au-jus was a bit flat and the fries were cool and kind of over cooked and I like crispy. They were also supposed to be rosemary garlic of which there was no hint of either of those flavors. Our server was polite but either distracted or overly busy. Prices range on average between 12-30$. Dietary restrictions: They offer gf options and they are clear to find on the menu. Their gf buns are very good, tasty and they don t fall apart
Raj was an excellent server. She was kind, efficient and quick. We really loved and appreciated her taking care of our table. We were staying at a near by hotel and returned for a nightcap cap served by Kaylee and she was very lovely. All in all a fab place, wine was $$$ and the food was outstanding! Will be back
This is a very convenient location as I stay in the hotels frequently. The food and service have always been good. My issue is that the prices have gotten a bit out of hand.
Visited here last weekend. Service was great, our server was so lovely. All the staff was accommodating when friends wanted to join into a larger table. The food was delicious. My kids enjoyed the teeny linguini and brisket quesadilla off the smaller bites menu, and they still had food to bring back to the hotel. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely go back.
Excellent service. Fish and chips awesome
Went for dinner tonight. I had the dry aged porterhouse and my wife had the sous vide new york strip. Absolutely amazing is all I can say. I ve been wanting to try the dry aged and finally had the chance and can t wait to have it again. My wife s steak was delicious and tender as well. The choice of toppings and infused salts is great , as not everyone s seasoning likes are the same. The mussels for an appetizer were rich and flavourful and I definitely recommend them. Should ve taken pictures as my plate was a work of art when it came out.
We met friends who had made us a reservation.. when we got there and told the hostess we were meeting friends and the name of the reservation. She told us to just go look around for them intead of leading us to their table. We did have to wait close to an hour to receive our meals after ordering. Our waitress said they were very busy because some large some tables had come in she was sincere and sorry for our wait. Three of the four of us ordered steaks. All of the steaks cane very undercooked. I think the kitchen was trying to push the food through quickly to get caught up. They came out Almost blue rare when they were ordered medium. I returned mine and when it came back it was scorched and burnt on the outside but still quite rare on the inside. Our waitress never came back to see if it was now acceptable. I couldnt eat it. I dont know if we will return and if we do, we wont ever order the steaks again.
The service is great and the steaks are among the best in the city. The variety of seafood to pair with steaks are awesome.
Food and service were good. We would come back again.
We were so disappointed in our experience at this restaurant. We had made reservations for 4 a day or two ahead of time for a booth. When we arrived the hostesses didn t seem to know what they were doing. They tried to sit us at a table in the middle of the room and looked panicked when we asked for the booth we reserved. We sat down and waited for a booth to be cleaned. Once we were sat it took a while for us to place our orders with the server, who seemed to be overwhelmed with how busy her section was. The margaritas we ordered were really good, and that was the only thing that made this experience less of a fail. Our queso and wonton wrapper appy came out and the wrappers were incredibly over seasoned (we told our sever) so we ordered some fries to hold us off. It s lucky we did because our food took around an hour to arrive. When our food arrived, all three steaks were cold and blue rare, not med-med rare, and the veggies were undercooked. Two of us were so hungry we made it clear we were unhappy with it but said we would just try to eat through it. One person sent their steak back and it was sent back burnt to heck on the outside and still very rare on the inside so we decided to just take our food home and finish cooking it there. Our server brought us our tabs in full for everything which, after not a great experience, was surprising. We did ask to speak to a manager who we would have really appreciated talking to. They didn t bother to come by but did discount a drink each bill and told around 15-20% off the tabs. It shouldn t be on the server to shoulder to apologize for overall management issues. We all probably won t go back
We had such good food and service we came back the next night for dinner. We tried the salmon, 6oz sirloin and prosciutto chicken were excellent. The vegetables, risotto and garlic mashed potatoes were perfectly done. The no alcohol cocktails were inventive and delicious. And huge kudos to the exceptional servers each night who provided friendly, professional and efficient service!
Had the wonka burger. On the menu sounds delicious. On the plate looked like a round brick on a small bun. Could barely find the toppings. Side of fries were extremely salty and wimpy. Left half the burger and fries on the plate. Sadly had no taste and the texture of sawdust. Expensive burger . Try The Acoudtic Owl if you want a burger! (Our server was lovely )!
Very disappointed with food quality and taste, ordered 2 pound of chicken wings dry salt and pepper. No salt and papers and just deep fried plane wings without any taste. Too much oily and smells of oil. Not a good place for food but maybe enjoy some drinks or beer. Paid 50$ plus tip for take out for 2 pounds wings and a ceaser salad. Salad was just some salad leafs and a small container of ranch souse, as i said i ordered pre mixed souse ceaser salad not some ranch salad (not pre-mixed).
Had a very good first experience here will definitely come back , the food is high quality!
Our waitress was great, she was polite and personable! That was the only great thing about the experience. 7 of us went for a birthday dinner and only 2 of us experienced good food. The steaks were undercooked, mine came out raw. The chicken fingers were over cooked and dry. The fish and chips was the only meal that was cooked probably. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Its gotten better than when it first opened which is to be expected. Its not the fanciest looking place but the food is good and the price is reasonable
Excellent! Food was awesome, atmosphere was awesome and the service was awesome! Two thumbs up across the board. Highly recommended!
My friend and I stopped in on Feb 9 and ordered a steak sandwich and he had the rib eye ,the food was cooked exactly the way we wanted it ,highly recommend the Brickstone for food and service our waitress Maggie in our opinion is one of the best in lethbridge great service and made our experience one of the best !
My husband s steak was undercooked and had a strange taste to it. His sides were tasty (mashed potatoes and caesar salad). My steak was properly cooked and tasted fine but I had two orders of seasonal veg that were served cold. The middle really cold in the middle of the carrots then slightly warm on the outside so I think they may have been refrigerated and heated in a microwave? Not sure but they were not good. I had the panna cotta for dessert which was delicious, my husband had the carrot cake which he said was fine but not $12 worth. Overall, I would try it again but for the price I m hoping the food will be better next time, otherwise we probably won t return.
Menu had so many different choices, will definitely have to go back
First time visited for Valentines dinner was excited to see the variety of aged meat and cuts available, I did however look forward to trying a prime rib for dinner but found out thats only offered on Sundays, im a big guy and would of considered some other cut but would of perfered the ability to get a 12 to 16oz rib eye or strip loin or the same in Prime Rib. I ended up with a prime rib sandwich and it was prepared well just needed the addition of horseradish sauce, thats were Im a little saddened at the $2.00 charge for a mayo substance that contained a horseradish mixture. My wifes charcuterie board was amazing probably the best around Southern Alberta, will be back to try you again but where I would of ordered the 50 to 80 meal I will most likely stick to the basic meals unless you revamp the meat menu.
Had a Rib eye , medium rare. Cooked okay but looked like a dish rag, rest of meal ok. For the price expected a better presentation. Parking: Not kept well to much snow and ice
Get the charcuterie. Great service.
My husband and I went to Brickstone for his Birthday on Feb 15th. We made a reservation. From the time we sat down at the table until the time we left it was a horrible experience. So much that went elsewhere for dessert. Server took our drink order came back to the table 10 minutes later (still with no drinks) asked if we were ready to order. My husband asked for the happy hour bread. She went to type it in and said oops its now 6 cant order it. My husband explained to her that we have been waiting for her to return to the table. She did make it right and got the appetizer for us. Appetizer arrives. We still have no drinks. I ordered the New York steak (which I have had there before and loved it.) this one came at the correct temp but was so tough you could hardly cut it. The server had it remade. Unfortunately this caused my husband to eat alone. The remake arrived back at the table. This steak the flavour was horrible. It had no seasoning and was over cooked. Arriving as a mid well to well. It definitely was cooked at a very high heat. I ordered mid rare. The sever came to the table looked at the plate that I clearly had not eaten, said Ill bring you a to go container. She then comment want the bill? So I payed $50 for mashed potatoes and salad. I was most disappointed as the Manager or supervisor didnt even come to the table to apologize. This was super frustrating experience and will make us rethink our next visit.
Would not have reviewed unless they asked but they did. Would be 3 stars (average) if prices were average (they are not). Poor value for money. Ribs were dry. Mediterranean Chicken soup for my son was basically olive soup. Wifes burger had a low meat to bun ratio and was poorly assembled. Garden salad dressing tasted like pure oil. Cant charge these prices without equivalent quality. Server was good other than poorly describing the soup. Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome.
I had a very positive experience all-round. Venue obviously draws on lots of local restaurant knowledge. Server was extremely engaging,
Great food! Love the Ceasar Salad!
Vegetarian options: Even though this is known for their beef, there are so many pescatarian and vegetarian options. This is such a good local option. I highly recommend. Food
Had a very pleasant dining experience at Brickstone for Valentines Day. The meal was very good and the service by Caitlyn was excellent.
One of the best rib steaks Ive had in a long time Great mashed potatoes and the beans are amazing.
Food ok not really my taste though the wonton nachos are good
Excellent experience, quality food and drinks. Keep it up!
Food and service was good. Atmosphere has a warehouse feeling. Prices are on the high side. Dec31/23. My second time to Brickstone. I have to lower my rating to a 2 star from 3. The meal was mediocre at best. I had Pomodoro pasta and added chicken. The meal lacked any kind of flavour. I thought if anything the Resteraunt would improve from my first visit, but that was not the case. Unfortunately I won t be returning.
Steak was very under cooked and Caesar salad came in a hot plate. The salad was warmer than the steak. Not a good meal for New Years Eve. The manager did comp our drinks and appetizers and half off the meal. I don t think I would return. Very unsatisfying.
Thank you for the great night we were a party of 4 who had never been there but decided to try it and were not disappointed. From the service to the food, all was fantastic. Tunisha, our server, was attentive and super friendly.
We had water and menus quickly and ordered within an appropriation time. 45 minutes later my soup and salad, and my friends veggie burger still hadnt arrived. It was not a busy restaurant. We asked a waitress if this was normal timing. She could not answer, but said they could comp a dessert, an offer that was not made by our regular waitress. Food arrived 10 minutes later and was attractive and tasted good. Before I was finished our waitress came to take it away. This was not a good impression for a first visit which will not likely receive a second.
Dined at Brickstone Kitchen + Bar yesterday for the first time, and it was a very positive experience. We will definitely return. A friend and I were there for a late lunch. Our server Leah, was attentive, personable and very knowledgeable. Our food(house salad with in-house dressing, eggplant lasagna, prime rib dip and rosemary garlic fries) and drinks were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed. The Italian coffee was a nice way to finish a wonderful meal. We would also like to acknowledge the hostess for her personable manner and thank her for her compliments. It made our day.
Second time here, this time I had the Breakfast Poutine. Very Yummy and reasonably priced, Summer is a good waitress and atmosphere is enjoyable. I will definitely recommend to others.
Great food, service was awesome. Would definitely go back. Kid-friendliness: We had 5 young kids and they were so patient with them. Food : 5/5 |
I had made a reservation on the website and received confirmation. We arrived a bit early so I let the host know - he said he didn t have a reservation for us. I showed him the confirmation email but he said it didn t matter since they weren t busy. Unfortunately we got put at a table by the bar where they were sorting silverware at the next table for about 20 minutes. We were the only people put in this location and seemed to be where staff were doing busy work or just chatting so made for a not nice ambiance - unfortunate since we were there for our wedding anniversary and had reserved a booth. My husband and I both ordered steak medium rare. We both sent ours back since it came out VERY rare - mine was a thick cut steak and was almost blue rare. They both came back about 3 minutes later and mine was still extremely rare. So much so I had to switch with my husband. Our server came back and asked if they were good now and my husband politely told her the truth. She just said thank you and walked away. The sides were good though and the steak tasted alright - thank goodness my husband was ok with the very rare one. Unfortunately we both decided we wouldn t return. A steak house should know hot to cook steak and honour reservations. No other offer to make things right was made. You also can t get the dry-aged steak on their menu - it s never available. So I d recommend going somewhere else.
While staying nearby we came in 3 times to eat and visit. The food was exceptional and service, especially Kayley, what amazing. Perfect atmosphere for any gathering
The Chicken Alfredo was delicious. Love all of the dessert selections too !!
The food was good and the desserts were delicious! Carrot cake was gluten-free. Dietary restrictions: Very gluten friendly! Food : 4/5 |
Was visiting Lethbridge over New Years and had a great experience here. Friendly, attentive staff. Great menu, which was very inclusive for dietary restrictions, lots of great options for all. The craft cocktails were a total bonus!
Had a great lunch here. Amazing soup of the day. Have heard people say it is expensive but the portions were large, and tasty and priced on par with most restaurants in this category and they also had great little bite lower price options. Sevice was great. Atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. The Churro dessert was ridiculously addictive . Overall great bang for the buck.
Oh my word! This was the best Sunday lunch find. This was our first time at Brickstone and we had the hardest time deciding on what to eat. Every item listed was so unique to the ordinary. I had the Brickstone burger with a side of Ceasar salad. The burger was juicy and so flavourful! The ceasar had a light ceasar dressing with crispy capers. This was over the top best Ive had. My husband had the corned beef sandwich with the rosemary french fries. I sampled his sandwich and wished Id ordered it....soooo good. The corned beef was tender and the mustard was a perfect balance. Rosemary french fries were a first for us but we couldnt get enough. I struggle to give enough details for one of the best lunches weve had in a long time. We have our favourite go-to places in lethbridge to eat but Brickstone has now replaced them all. Seriously good food for the same price point as the others. Our server was helpful and very pleasant. Next time we will sample the supper menu. Cant wait!
Food was okay, nothing special. The server was friendly and did a good job.
Very good steak and ceaser salad.
I liked the look and the feel of the restaurant. Even though it was packed the service was quick, and food tasted great. But my coworker and I got our food after had worked hard all day, it was small, the 3$ extra for gravy for mashed potatoes is a bit insane, especially when you get one scoop. The plate was only 1/4 filled with food. And that s just the area of the plate that isn t the decoration. Overall, more food, I need to not need to feel I need to eat after paying over 30$ for a meal and soda.
The quesadilla was fantastic! Amazing salsa with it.
Our first (definitely not last) visit to Brickstone was amazing. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect.
Food and service was phenomenal! Our waitress Kaylee took great care for us! I had the pork chop which was cooked perfect my husband had the rib eye, cooked perfect, sides were delicious. Definitely will be returning! Parking: Amazing
Kaylee was amazing! Best server! Our meal was amazing. Definitely recommend!
When looking at their web page and social media it is clear they are trying for and upscale steak house. They have missed the mark by a mile. Typical sports bar with less decore. My experience started poorly and did not improve. I ordered a spicy Ceaser. I made a point of explaining to my server that I wanted my drinking extremely spice. I went so far as to say the bartender could not possibly make it to spicy. What I got was perhaps the most bland Ceaser I have ever been served. I asked my sever to bring the Tabasco so that I could rectify the isse. She explained they did not have Tabasco they use Cholupa hot sauce. I suspect they are not using Motts clamatto either as the drink was thin and watery. I ordered the prime rib dip for my meal. After a 45 minute wait it arrived. Reasonable size serving, however the horseradish dressing made the sandwich soggy. I could have overlooked that if there had been any desirable taste of horseradish. The ajus was more of a gravey and exceedingly wine forward. Not at all enjoyable. The side was advertised as garlic rosemary fries. I was unalbe to detect the flavour of either. Disappointing!
Amazingly friendly staff. Atmosphere is decent, could use some sound dampening as per table convo was a bit hard to hear. All In all would recommend
First time in, great service, great food, margaritas delicious, will be back
The waitress was great did her best food was slow to come out. There was three of us I got the chicken alfredo the noodles were over cooked and pastey the sauce was dry couldnt eat a bite without out water. The other two in our party left with gut cramps and an evening in the bathroom. They had a steak with blue cheese it had to be sent back. I would not recommend this restaurant not if you want good food.
We enjoyed our time at Brickstone. The restaurant was busy and the food and specialty drinks were on pricey side but very good. We had steak dinners and the meat was prepared perfectly. The included sides were good (baked potato would be a nice addition), the salt selection was very nice and the peppercorn gravy was really good. Our server, Kaylee, was excellent! She was attentive and friendly. She helped us with the menu choices and her recommendations were spot on. We will definately be back!
I recently dined at this place, and I just had to share my experience. First things first, the service was prompt and efficient. We were seated quickly, and our server was attentive throughout the meal. Now, lets talk about the star of the show the prime rib dip. It was beyond amazing! The flavors were spot on, and the tenderness of the This dish alone made the entire dining experience unforgettable. All three of us loved our meals. Overall, a fantastic dinner with great service, and that prime rib dip? I will be back as we stay here.
Service was a little slow but not the end of the world, place is new so probably figuring it out. Overall a good place to eat and the cherry old fashioned was really good
Absolutely tasty food with great service!! Parking: Centrally located to the hotels in the area which very convenient. Food : 5/5 |
Have visited twice and the menu is great and service is excellent. The mango Marguerite is awesome
Excellent food and service was awesome. Highly recommend. Will go there next time wherein town
Prime Rib Dip was great portion and taste! Highly Recommend! The 6oz steak was a little over cooked, sides of garlic parmesan fries (fries were plain?) and cesar salad (was warm and watery) I assume left under the heat lamp to long. I appreciated the free dessert for Birthday, cheesecake was good. Overall a good experience, hoping the kinks get worked out as they are still new.
Moxies on the outside, Smittys on the inside. Very confused by interior design.
Steak sandwich had no seasonings whatsoever
Absolutely amazing tasting food that is full of flavor! I recommend the corned beef sandwich, and the oyster mushrooms. The spaghetti is great too!
Very very happy with our experience! The food was top notch but the service really made our experience. Great portion sizes. Mango margarita was also a hit.
First time trying Brickstone Kitchen & Bar. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. The carrot cake was to die for!! We ll definitely be back!
The best meal I had in a decade, hands down. Everything, One Hundred: Meat & Cheese board, BAM! Real Italian meats, warm bread, fresh olives and real honey like I was back in the old county. Then Chicken Fingers (I stole 1/2 the kids food, cause he has more time left for good food). The texture, seasoning of the panko made the fresh chinken breast (beautifully marinated) insanely delicious! My Wife and I ordered a medium rib steak not knowing it was going to be sous vided, I was quite apprehensive at first (Due to the fat content, the cows feed is crucial for flavor). Best steak since Tom Goodchild was swinging back in the day. Mushroom Risotto was amazing. Infused salts were out if these world. But the best of all was the blackberry old fashioned.... just heavenly, you could get yourself in trouble pretty quick. Unbelievably reasonably priced! 7 drinks, appetizer, two entries and a dessert, $150. OMG, what a place. I beg the people of Lethbridge, Do Not leave a review, if you have the culinary taste buds of a five year old; if you think Taziki is a little too exotic, please stay home. Lets not try to drag this beautiful establishment down to the mediocrity so common in our day. I will be back soon, just live 500 kms away.
Grand Opening seemed to be going well. Waitress was having problems with payment terminal but resolved the issue. Dietary restrictions: Lots of options Parking: Lots of options as long as hotels arent super busy
What a great opening! Lethbridge needed a place like this. Excited to go back. Amy, Vanessa, Steph, and Tristan were fantastic. Way to go guys!
Wow , this place is awesome!!. Our server did a tremendous job and the food was amazing!! If you havent been yet, GO !!
Madi M was amazing and the food was great we will be back Parking: Was free Food : 5/5 |
Incredibly slow service. Had two tables for our swim team and food took over 2 hours to be served. Nothing but excuse from staff and our waitress disappeared. Some food came cold and a couple orders were wrong. Very very bad service.
Went for thanksgiving and the food wasn t the greatest. I would have liked to have dark meat instead of white meat. Carrots were hard. Only good thing was the potatoes really. Had excellent service though.
Meh, will try again. Wasnt great but not terrible either
Had dinner there last night. I had the 10 oz rib eye and wife had the salmon. Both meals were very good and cooked excellent. Biggest flop was wife ordered Caesar s to drink and they were weak and watery. Will definitely be back again.
Our food was delicious and brought out in a timely manner. Ashton is wonderful and worked hard with so many people!
This hidden gem will not remain hidden very long. The staff is some of the best I ve ever seen. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is friendly. But it is the staff that makes this place and will continue to make it.
We went last night and it was our First time there! great atmosphere awesome food! And our waitress was on point i think her name was kayla sorry if i got that wrong but will be back definitely
Keep your pickled veg, give me a gallon of the dip you serve with the fried oyster mushrooms that sauce was amazing. My son used it on his truffle fries and even a bit with his beef dip. The nachos were great. I had the corned beef which was amazing. But we finally finished with the heavenly cheesecake.... So if your in lethbridge this is a great date night, family night out, ect. The food is great.
The drinks were amazing. We both loved our meals. We will definitely be back!
We reserved the group room for a private function. The room was great having privacy from the rest of the restaurant. Our group of 9 all enjoyed their meals! Steaks were done perfect. The sides were so delicious. The group favourite was the risotto and green beans. We will be back! Thank you Stephanie & staff for a wonderful meal.
Stopped by on a Wednesday evening around 640. Even though there were several open and no reservations, they would not accomodate a table for two.
The potatoes and seasonal vegetables were great. We went for the dry aged beef ( their drawing card) and none was available. We settled for steaks The meat was lukewarm, the plates were very cold. The coffee was very cold and it took 10 minutes and 2 requests to have it replaced. 2 of us asked to share a meal and requested it be divided in the kitchen. Apparently the chef didn t want to divide a 8 oz New York strip so asked us to devide the meal ourselves. The extra plate was cold. The atmosphere was upscale, the menu was full of words and sauces only a dedicated foody would understand. The service was satisfactory.
Service was quick and pleasant. Food was not great. Had the steak sandwich -Steak looked like it was boiled. It was tough to chew and not cooked to my liking. No grill marks or grill flavor. The prawns were overcooked and cold. They too looked and tasted boiled - no seasoning. The bread was so dry it just crumbled when I tried to cut it. The house dressing is horrible. Worst dressing I ve ever had. Oily and tastes like dirt. Definitely not worth $35
Great food and great service. Will definitely visit this restaurant again
We were there for brunch and surprised to find out there was essentially only one breakfast option for kids and no kids menu. As brunch enthusiasts, we were also a little disappointed that our veggie bennies seemed cold and a bit overwhelmed in red pepper. The barely warm but perfectly cooked egg was smothered in delicious but less than warm hollandaise sauce. I think with a few adjustments, we would have had the perfect brunch. The coffee, hashbrowns, and fruit cups were great! Kid-friendliness: An interactive kids menu with crayons and breakfast and lunch options would improve the kid friendliness indeed.
Very nice place and good food
Absolutely amazing food and service!!!
I had the ribeye it was good, not sure if it was 12 onces though . I had to send the roasted potatoes back they were way too salty. The vegetables are just unseasoned boiled, disappointing for a up scale menu and price. No wine selections offered on the Happy Hour menu. Definitely not worth the what I paid. I would have thought the manager would have been involved because I had to send something back. I didn t get an apology at all.
Went because of a friend s recommendation and sadly was disappointed! Saturday reservation for 5:45 and no aged steaks left, not seared Halibut and none of the draft beer we wanted. Service was extremely slow with just over a hour to get steamed mussels. Server was even uncomfortable with how long the kitchen took. Could have doubled up with my bill if you were just prepared for the customers. We didn t even order a second drink.. get us outta here. Not a great experience and we will cautiously decide on a future stop.
Our waitress was great and served our large group quickly. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food.
I ordered the 10oz ribeye medium rare. Typically a tender piece with a lot of marbling, however half of this steak was not edible, and was rare at best. Another person at our table ordered the tenderloin and ordered it medium and was rare as well. For the price I was disappointed. Now it wasn t all bad, my wife ordered the salmon and loved it. I also heard the brisket was really good so I will be back to try that but will be very reluctant to order a steak from there again. It also took over an hour from ordering our food to the time we got it, now it was busy in there but still was a very long wait to get our food. Was definitely hoping for better.
Excellent experience and outstanding service Amy!
I have been to Brickstone three times now, and the first time I went the food was amazing. However the following times the food has been inconsistent, with my partners steak coming out a bit cold, and my own food just not as good. So food is a bit inconsistent so I give it a 3, otherwise everything else is pretty good!
Great place
Very friendly staff. Fast service. The food is fresh and perfect. New favorite restaurant for our family.
This was a $20 clubhouse sandwich and it s without a doubt the worst food I have been served in a restaurant. What an absolute laugh.
We had made a reservation for 10. When we arrived we were greeted and showed to our table which was in a private area which was great and the decor was awesome. Our waitress was great and gave our table just the right amount of attention. We were overly impressed with the quality of the food. Thank you, thank you for making our dinning experience one to remember. I would recommend this restaurant.
We waited 10 minutes for the hostess to seat us - despite us having a reservation, then 20 minutes for a server to even acknowledge that we were there. She was apologetic, of course, but we didn t have menus or anything. When our food was dropped off, the person bringing the food was very rushed and just put the plates on the table and ran back to the kitchen. The food was okay. If I m being honest, it tasted like food you get from Costco - I m pretty sure that red pepper dip is anyway. Again, it wasn t awful, but for the price point I wouldn t say it was worth it. P.S. Everyone was very kind and you can tell they are young, but if I m paying over $100 for a dinner out, I d expect it to be better.
Service was friendly and quick. Location is s bit out of the way
Delicious food and fantastic service. Very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
We chose to go here before heading to a concert. Reservations were at 5:15, so should have no problems getting to the concert for 7:00. Servers were great, atmosphere was great, but for a party of 6, 4 received their meals in about 30 mins after seating (reasonable), we didn t receive our meals for another 45 mins. After that. We basically just put them into the to-go containers and headed to the concert. Our server had contacted the manager and gave us a discount on our meal (very nice that we didn t have to ask). You could tell the restaurant is understaffed, but what staff was there were good. We probably will come back again, but not on a weekend when there is sports tournaments and concerts at the same time.
I was late booking our staff Christmas party and was having trouble finding anywhere that could accommodate a large group, and Brickstone really came through for me. So simple to book and order, and the evening went so smoothly thanks to their great staff. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend and will likely use them again for events, or just for dinner! Thanks to the staff at Brickstone!
Always a pleasure to see our favorite server Leah, at our new favorite Sunday brunch spot!
Steak is the King. Small but good wine selection. Food
The food and service were amazing. Would definitely go back and recommend Dietary restrictions: I have dietary restrictions and the waitress was very helpful in helping me pick a meal that met those restrictions. Food : 5/5 |
I wasn t going to review but the email system they have set us is weirdly persistent. I ve received like 6 requests for reviews since going a couple weeks ago. The food was fine they were sold out of (or didn t have available) a few menu items, one of which we were specifically there for. I had the prime rib, it was good but I did cut out a significantly large chunk of fat that we didn t eat. The mushroom risotto was also fine . We had debated ordering it as a whole dish but only got it as a side thankfully. Our daughter got the kids pasta with tomato sauce and steak and those were quite good actually. Nice and simple. The French onion soup was the favourite. If we go again I ll have that as just the meal, it was huge. Our server was pleasant and informative. The atmosphere was also fine . It wasn t exceptional, it just seemed like a big open space with but they at least had made an effort with hanging Christmas decorations and it was very clean. The washrooms were also nice and clean.
We were thoroughly impressed with the variety of allergen options on the menu. Being someone with celiac disease- cross contamination is a huge factor I have to consider when deciding where to eat. I ordered the Seafood Linguine GF option and it was delicious. It came with a GF bun which was delicious! And, the GF carrot cake was the best carrot cake I have ever had. Drinks could have been a bit better. But otherwise service and food was great for the price. Will be coming back for more Gluten-Free options. Dietary restrictions: Lots of Gluten-Free and Vegan Options
They were busy and we had to wait a while to get seated and then had to wait to order our drinks...the steak and Caesar salad was amazing!
Our large group had dinner at Brickstone Kitchen and Bar, and despite the volume and complexity that comes with a large group, everything went very smoothly. Everyone had a good time - food was excellent, service was friendly and accommodating, and the overall atmosphere was very good. Big thanks to Stephanie R. who helped to plan the event, and to Stephanie and Tyler who hosted the dinner.
Very good food! My waiter was very professional and attentive. Great concept I would recommend this place! Thanks Triston you you did well! Food
We went there because one of our friend told us about the restaurant. Food was really good, big portions. We ordered French fries and it was so good, soup of the day and salad, club sandwich and chicken Alfredo. Our waiter Tristan was really friendly and the chief Charley did a great job. Will be back again for sure and we will tell our friends in Taber about your restaurant. Vegetarian options: Yes a lot
