I am in eternal gratitude to whatever god convinced this man and his mother to make ramen in our town.

Tried out the Kurama ramen and steamed buns, the flavours were rich! The atmosphere was really cozy. Its an awesome ramen shop! Food

Had a wonderful lunch there with my grandson. Service was excellent.

The food was good. Had a problem with my beef but that got fixed right away which was a good thing. The food prices are a bit pricey. Wasn t my favourite restaurant but everything was ok. The server is very helpful and kind. Being my first time she help me on deciding what to eat.

Ordered 12pcs of the sweet chili tiger shrimp but only got 8 pcs

Decided to have lunch here when they opened up. Waited over 20mins to be served by a new employee who literally never came back after giving us water. Also very unprofessional and rude! They don t accommodate you or try to compromise with swapping anything out even if they had to charge more for a different item. I used to come here all the time & mention it to all my friends. After this ignorant experience I ll never come back or recommend anyone else to come here. Customer service sucks. Instead of making us feel comfortable they made the experience uncomfortable and said well if you don t like it i don t know what to tell you out loud and it was so awkward. So we walked out and they just stood there. Please don t waste your time or money on a business that can t even care enough about good customers that have supported them since they ve opened.

One of the best restaurants in Lethbridge. I always go for the kimchi ramen. Maybe a little on the pricey side, but the amount you get more than makes up for it, especially compared to the servings at other similarly priced restaurants. Epic (the server) is epic (the adjective), as is the rest of the staff. I try to bring my friends here any chance I get.

Absolutely delicious soups! Better than the big city!

Absolutely disgusting! I felt so bad as a good friend of mine desperately wanted to show me this place, and the food is garbage! Everything tasted like an old gym sock! I almost puked. And Im a big fan of Japanese food but this is horrible! Sawa house was good real Japanese food, this is expensive pig slop! Do your self a favor and pass this by.

I didn t expect to spend so much money on food that tasted alright, I was expecting the flavour to be a bit more. The soup ramen tasted bland, I wished it had a bit of flavour in it.

First time here and wow! The wonton is delicious! And the service is number 1. Five star all around.

I went here with my family and friends for a convocation lunch and the food was hit!! Great atmosphere, great natural light, chill music, and you can watch them make the soups. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Kimchi and kurama soups are very good. The noodles have a great texture. The in-house made noodles are delicious too, we had them in the ja ja mein and teriyaki beef. Very accommodating with vegetarians, you can get deep fried (or normal) tofu in place of the meat in most dishes. Doughs for gyoza and steam buns are made in house and you can really tell . If you re a fan of sweet and savoury, try the mango pork. Vegetarian options: 1 veggies soup, 1 pescatarian soup, 3+ stir fries and bento boxes. Dietary restrictions: 2 gluten free options for the set soups, 2 gluten free stir fries, gluten free custom bento boxes and soups, gluten free chicken and fish balls

Excellent food and service Highly recommended Food

The food and service was great. It was somewhat slow to get our food but everything we had was delicious. We tried the Sichuan Beef, Shio Vermicelli, and Wanton soups. The meat was cooked perfectly and the depth of flavor was amazing. The prices are quite high but we also got 2 meals out of it.

We got take out and ate at home but food tasted fresh, hot, and delicious! Will definitely will be coming back. Great for a movie night at home.

We enjoyed the soju and ramen noodles but found the noodles were too soft and the soup was cool in temperature. Granted it was at the end of the day and they were closing soon, so we had to cut our dinner date short. Seems like lunch time might be a more successful time to visit.

Excellent food and ramen! I thing my husband and I have tried nearly everything and enjoyed everything. Our favorites are the Sichuan beef and the gyoza. We always go here when we are shopping at the mall, instead of the food court.

The Bang Bang noodles were delicious. The Ja Ja Mein is delicious! This is the food you want when you binge watch delicious in Dungeon.

Decent ramen for Canada. If you are familiar with real authentic ramen this might be a little bit of a let down. Overall though not to bad. The restaurant itself is really nice and great service. I would definitely recommend this place to eat at in Lethbridge.

Food was very delicious and tasty. Service from Hudson was amazing. I am thankful for him to have a great business with diverse foods which are Chinese, Japanese, and Korean! I will recommend that everyone should try it!

Taro Noodle House is the best little restaurant in town!

We both have the Teriyaki Bowl, it was unbelievably flavorful, tender, and unlike anything Ive had before. 110% recommend this restaurant. Staff is lovely, clean atmosphere, and great value for food.

Edit Jan 2024: The food was still pretty good although the steamed pork buns were not great, the service wasnt as good as before. It wasnt that busy and I felt like the senior took a long time to take our order and I had to get her attention for leftover containers and the bill. Original review: I very much enjoyed my tongkotsu ramen with fried house made fish balls. The flavor was really delicious and although the fish balls were more dense than I expected they tasted great and there were lots of them. The service was very quick and friendly, the server was helpful and had suggestions. The soup was way too big, I couldnt have finished that if I hadnt eaten all day. I have this problem with restaurants with serve big portions. I would have been happy to pay less for a smaller portion but of course thats not an option. The only other thing I would have liked is some veggies in the ramen. They charge 3$ extra for each veggie added, sorry but that sucks. I wish they had an option for mixed veg to be added to the soups. The menu looked good, there really were lots of things I wanted to try.

The best noodles of Lethbridge. If you want to try the true traditional flavor of good noodles, dont hesitate and visit this place. It wont disappoint you.

Decent food but not great. The gyoza need some love. I wondered if they were the pork buns, huge for gyoza, small for buns, the pork filling was not great. Not bad, but I left about 4 uneaten. I ordered the pork steamed buns, the gyoza, chicken skewers and one other thing. I wouldnt go back and order any of those items a second time though, if I had to pick the one better item if the lot it would be the pork buns. Service was decent.

Delicious and magnificent attention

Delicious and fresh. They can accommodate gluten free and are knowledgeable. Staff were very friendly. The homemade fish balls can be made gf and are delicious! Definitely recommend eating here.

The food is so good. You can tell each flavour is so expertly crafted and blends together so well. I had the bento box and each dish was distinct and the flavours were awesome. Love the noodles! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of tasty options for vegetarians.

Ordered delivery. The cream cheese crab wontons are soooo good and the filling in the beef egg rolls is so fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant. Vegetarian options: There are definitely vegetarian options available and they look so fresh and tasty.

I really love this place. Every time I go its amazing. Everything is made in house, and you can really taste it! Everyone there is so friendly too. Pictured is the Dan Dan ramen, and the Sichuan Lai Mein. We went for lunch, it was quite busy but the service was quick.

If youve experienced an authentic Japanese Ramen eatery, this place falls far short. It doesnt come close to delivering genuine ramen, and Im quite disappointed.

Broth was delicious and flavorful. I got the bang bang ramen, but the noodles were wide and super soggy, my husband got kuruma and his noodles were not soggy.

We just discovered the noodle house, they accommodated a slight change from cabbage to steam broccoli for my daughter. Fresh ingredients, very fresh! Probably the best food we have had in a long time. We got DIY ramen soup, and bento boxes! Cannot wait to come back Kid-friendliness: My 9 year old daughter wanted steamed broccoli instead of cabbage, and the kitchen was happy to accommodate her request for her bento box

Great little noodle spot with a variety of soups, sides and bento boxes to choose from. Reasonably priced but perhaps offer two sizes of soup as the standard one is huge!

Craving for this hot and delicious soup in a very cold time of the year.

Amazing food however it is FREEZING inside the restaurant. Nearly unbearable to sit inside during the winter and they run fans on top of it. Love the food but will not be back until the weather warms up or the issue is fixed. Last time I went they mopped the floors and they froze immediately. It s not acceptable

Food is good and consistent but I find it to be too expensive, that being said however the portions are always very good.

Vegetarian options: I went to Tao and ordered the Veggi Udon. The portion was large and came with a great variety of quality fresh ingredients. Will be returning and definitely wish I tried out Tao earlier!

I was in Lethbridge for work and wanted to try this place. Ordered the Dan Dan noodles and the food was delicious. Fresh house made noodles, texture was bouncy and chewy. Soup base was great, a lot of flavor and not overly salty. The minced pork was amazing. A bit too much shredded carrots, but its not that big of a deal. The price was a a smidge pricey, but portions were good and left feeling full.

Absolutely incredible. The portion size you get is huge and well worth the price. Service is amazing and the staff are extremely friendly. Next time I visit Lethbridge I will be sure to come back here :)

Delicious and great value.

I was visiting the town and tried their ramen as it it s one with the highest good reviews. I was disappointed from the beginning it took them 10mins before someone handed out a menu and it took almost half an hour to finally have our food served. I got more dissatisfaction when our ramen was served, noodles were so chewy like it wasn t cooked at all and their chashu was so chewy and not soft as how they re normally served, for $20 it s not worth it and overpriced. I won t totally recommend it for people who loves/knows Japanese ramen.

TLDR: If your GF just make sure you ask for the food to be made GF! Otherwise good food, great service and cozy atmosphere! :) The food was really good, service was great and atmosphere was cozy! My only mention is that for all the Gluten-free to specify on the menu that you need to ask for them to be made Gluten-free. I ordered my food assuming because it had the GF beside it that it was made GF but it wasnt. I later in the meal started feeling sick and asked if was actually GF and they said no and explained that when ordering you were meant to ask for it to be made that way. Having it been my first time I had no idea, I also didnt see that mentioned on the menu. They did make it again for me no charge and it tasted great! My only reason for reviewing is to request that the resturant put somewhere on the menu that you must ask for the GF option (even just having a stick on it that mentions it is great!). I may have missed it but even so putting it somewhere visible on the menu would be beneficial! :) Despite all that and a day of being glutened it was still really good!

Solid all around. Little disappointed in how the noodles were way too soft. The bento box was yummy and will be back again for sure to try more on the bento menu

Excellent food and generous portion sizes. The bento boxes are fantastic. I really enjoy the Mango Pork and fried noodles. I also enjoy the soups. The Shio Rice Vermicelli is great but my favourite is definitely the Dan Dan Ramen. The pork broth is delicious and the noodles are out of this world and homemade.

Came into Lethbridge for some business and stopped at Taro for lunch. Great spot and had a bowl of house made noodle Udon soup. It was a very large portion. The service was great too! Will definitely come back

Great noodle bowls. You can tell they do a lot in house. My bowl easily was big enough for two meals. Also love the deep fried wontons and my boyfriend loves the steam buns.

Taro! I love your food, Really great! I have never been disappointed in the quality but please could you throw a bit more meat on the plate with your bento boxes? I don t mean fill the plate or anything just if I can count 6 pieces I start to wonder if either you guys are rationing or if I m just fat and want more delicious food. I gave a 5 start because I love your food. 10/10 would recommend

Wasnt expecting the size of the bowl it came in. Its definitely enough for two people to share. The chicken broth was rich an full of flavour. We will be going back for soup again.

The ramen used to taste better but has waned in the past few years. Prices are really steep for a average bowl of noodles. Better than okay, not great though. Theyre are not that many great places in Lethbridge that have noodles, so this is still a good option.

Coming from the Vancouver BC area, it was great to find this spot! The tonkatsu broth for the ramen was flavourful and even the char siu portion was generous. The owner of this spot is so friendly and happy to make recommendations on menu items. Definitely worth going to again, and makes living away from Vancouver that much easier to get your ramen fix! Vegetarian options: The soups are customizable to your liking and can be vegetarian if you wish.

This place is the real deal. Almost everything is handmade by true craftsmen of the trade. The flavours are deep and rich, just exploding with juicy goodness. Easily in the top 5 of a lifetime soups. Just tremendous.

Had a better Ramen. New to Lethbridge so I was really hoping for a good one. The noodles I had seems too chewy and needs more time cooking.

Employee didn t bag the soup properly. As soon as I got in the car, the soup spilled out of the bag and created a mess. The soup should ve been double bagged.

Awesome soup. Would recommend this place to anyone. The serving are huge im 31 years old 210lbs and 6 foot 1 and i couldnt finish half the bowl. Enough for a 2nd meal to take home. Prices are very affordable aswell 14-18 dollars for almost everything on the menu . Will be going back again soon.

The best restaurant of the city

I ordered ramen from here and it was amazing. The cook seemed to be very passionate about the dish and the ingredients and was very helpful with my questions about it. The restaurant is spacious and they had very good music playing. The design of the restaurant is very clean and well-done.

Been going to it for years. Staff is friendly. Good portion size for cost. Husband loves the BBQ duck. I love the Korean beef flank in the bento box. Best deep fried wontons anywhere. Love the gyoza too

If your are craving Ramen definetley check this place out. I have yet to find any place in Lethbridge that is better and this place always does a great job! The noodles are fresh and everything is perfect! I recommend the Gyoza and the Kimchi Ramen in particular!

The food and the proprietor were great. Price point was good for the amount of food received. The only thing that would get it to five stars is the elimination of house flies. They are everywhere in Lethbridge, so maybe the locals dont notice, but I found myself swatting flies the entire time I was in town. The Dan Dan Ramen Noodle bowl was magnificent. I ve been 5 times and the food is amazing! Everything is always really fresh and filling, my only small complaint is that sometimes the staff is hit or miss. Some of the ladies at the front are helpful and friendly, sadly some others are not.

The Supreme Veggie Udon was amazing! The fresh and homemade ingredients read shone through! Huge serving size too, there was enough to feed 3 people! The gyoza and deep fried wontons were both super tasty! We will definetly be coming back to try more items!

Everything is delicious! Was very happy with the seasonings in both the ramen and gyoza. Saw them making their noodles fresh and when we saw the ramen baskets, we knew we were in for a big ol bowl of yum! Best cold windy day food, which in Lethbridge seems to be half the year! The broth is slurp worthy and you wont leave hungry.

Send noods please! I travelled to Lethbridge for some work purposes and didnt believe that any noodle soups in this city would compare to the bigger ones in Alberta... but I. WAS. WRONG! Taro Noodle House is quite possibly one of the best noodle shops Ive ever had in my life. I couldnt stop going to the restaurant and trying out their entire menu. Everything that they do is just amazing : The noodles & soup are made to order to maximize the texture and freshness. Soup Flavors were amazing, and the portions that you get are very generous. Meats were very tender. If youre having trouble deciding - I suggest to go with the Dan Dan Ramen to start with- its the heaviest in flavour and would probably appeal to most people reading this review. Side orders were amazing. This shop literally has one of the best Char Siu Steamed buns Ive ever eaten, and their Deep Fried wontons has an amazing twist - its filled with an unorthodox but amazingly tastety imitation crab meat & cream cheese filling. I stayed in lethbridge for one month - I balanced all of my meals with their veggie add-ons. Adding a small plate-full of veggies was only 2$, which in my opinion was very worth it. Last but not least, because I kept going to the shop alot, I had the pleasure of getting to know the owner and staff. I can tell you that the staff at Taro Noodle House are one of the friendliest, hygienic, and down to earth people. Each time I ate there, the waiter (or owner) would always tell me how things are made. You could tell the passion that they have. This shop is one of those hidden gems in Lethbridge - its perhaps one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to, In. My. Life. Ive tried out most (if not all) of their menu, and posted some of the photos below. I hope you enjoy eating at this place as much as I did, when I was in Lethbridge. Worth a drive from Edmonton for, through -30 with high winds. The kimchi ramen is the best soup I have had, every time Ive had it. Its massive. Get an extra hard boiled egg and it will feed two people, with broth to spare.

Ordered the Bento box with noodles, Sichuan beef, seaweed salad and pork buns. I was very impressed with the speed of the delivery, the food was still very hot. The beef was so tender it fell apart in my mouth. Ive never had pork buns before but they tasted delicious, spongy bun, sweet pork inside. I will definately be ordering again!!

Best Ramen in Lethbridge

Great food, great service! Hudson is one of the chefs and servers. Very pleasant dining experience. Super awesome service and recommendations. Hands down my favourite restaurant in town. Definitely recommend getting their Dan Dan ramen and bbq duck, gyoza was very juicy as well! Would definitely come back again! Super glad I decided to try it out!!!

Ordered the Korean BBQ chicken bites, the char siu steamed buns and two different types of ramen. All of it was incredible. Ive never had better ramen in my life. Staff was friendly and personable. Youll not be disappointed. I Seriously cannot recommend this place enough.

We made a big mistake to choose this store. They are noodle house, not ramen restaurant. They have some fusion style in the menu but not impressed. The teriyaki beef is not that I want. And the worst thing is they dont have Japanese Char Siu. The soup base is not tasty at all.

So good. Was busy but not too crowded. We had the Kimchi Ramen and a beef one (cant remember the name) and both were so good. Service was great and everyone was so friendly. Portion sides were huge and very filling. Well worth every penny! Highly recommend!

Freaking awesome!

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. My fiance and I ordered steamed buns, deep fried wontons, and a bowl of kurama ramen. The steamed buns were light and fluffy with a generous amount of filling. The deep fried wontons were fresh and crispy. The star of the show though, was the ramen. It was one of the best tonkotsu broths Ive ever tasted. The noodles were an excellent consistency and a large portion of meat. Reasonably priced for the amount of food and the quality of food you get. 10/10 will come here again. Also when I talked to who I believe was the owner, he seemed very passionate about his food. My order took a while to get to me. They seem more focused on Skip orders than dine in. No complaints about the food. Portion was huge and price was fine. Staff were friendly even if rushed.

We had dinner here last Saturday. We are from out of town and love ramen so we stopped by on our way through. It was so tasty and the service was incredibly friendly and accommodating to us being unfamiliar with the menu!
