Marvelous atmosphere with gorgeous panoramic view of Lethbridge. This elegant resturant is a must for travelors! Service is spectacular- Andrew and Will were attentive, gregarious and full of local insight. One will be assured that they will be in great hands with a caring and engaging staff! Cuisine was wonderful with many ingredients sourced locally. One will not be disappointed. Bar is well stocked and atmosphere is cozy- perfect for winding down from or weathering a chilly winter evening. Sunset view is woth the timing! Simply Enjoy!
I have never had bad service at a restaurant enough to note. But it's seems to be this restaurants weakest point Service was slow despite it being empty (waiter checked in 15 min after meals delivered and took a long time to bring the desert menu) . Potatoes were hard as a rock and salmon dry. Other dishes at the table were very good we just couldn't send this one back as our server was absent. Also took a while to be seated. Saw a couple groups leave after not being attended to at the front. Front desk also rude and told us we should have booked despite again, it being 4pm and empty. Overall attitude was disinterested. One of the other servers for another table seemed to be attentive/friendly but not the ones we got.
Amazing experience at Water Tower Grill in Lethbridge! The 360-degree views of the city are breathtaking, with access to an outdoor lower balcony for an extra special touch. The food was fantastic—highly recommend the Salmon and Beet Salad, it was delicious! Our server, Andrew, provided stellar service that made the evening even better. I would highly recommend this spot to everyone, not just visitors. Definitely check it out!
I made a reservation from the website for formal dining, but when I got there was told they close an hour prior and we had to go to level one. Apparently this happens regularly to others. FIX YOUR WEBSITE RESERVATION FUNCTION! I had out of town guests and was pleased to take them to see the view, except, just kidding! Sticky toffee pudding was good, but it was supposed to be served warm and it was not! Bacon wrapped perogies were amazing!
Andrew was a great server and helped us out a lot; Great energy! Food was as expected, delicious. Fast service was a plus.
This is a hidden gem. It's such a great restaurant. They had 2 musicians playing wonderful music. The interior is top notch, high class, very elegant. Oh and the food, there are no words to describe the delicious plates. Just a fantastic experience all around. Highly recommend 👌
Our third time here. This time we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Food is fantastic! Must try Marsala chicken and Rib Eye Steak Delmonico. Tuna stacks and calamari for appetizers are superb. Great wine list. Recommend Angels and Cowboys red from Sonoma Valley. Service is always warm, friendly and welcoming. Great dining experience every time!
Best meals we ever had. This was our second time at the restaurant and just keeps getting better. Even though the ac wasn't working properly the experience was great. Nice and welcoming staff and delicious food. We're going to keep coming back for sure.
Food was fantastic, our server Andrew made it a very memorable dining experience!
Great atmosphere and the food was amazing 10/10 recommend. Andrew is a G
Comfortable atmosphere, excellent food and appetizers with a decently large drink menu. Andrew absolutely made the night with his personality and friendly demeanor. Definitely recommended.
Great restaurant with superb views of the city. Food is good as well as the service
I absolutely love going to this grill and bar. Along with great food you can enjoy a beautiful view of Lethbridge and the mountains.
Overall the food was good. We ordered steak and the texture was great, presentation on point and the order came very quickly. The only thing was that we found the steak to be a little salty. Our server Jay was pleasant, warm, engaging and took the time to explain things to us. The only expectation that wasnt met was not having my half finished meal boxed to go. My partner prompted the waitress that it was to go but my plate was taken away and a box brought to him. I thought it was being boxed for me but wasnt. That was a little disappointing. Otherwise everything else was awesome!
A wonderful date night restaurant
Nice but expensive
They are charging 25$ for this butter chicken and they are giving this no gravy ,burnt chicken not worth it and they are giving by measuring the gravy and chicken when we asked for more gravy they just refused it ..Very disappointed and we literally trashed it .. This is the only restaurant who refused to give every time There are more better restaurants than this who provide good hospitality to the customers as customers are the first priority..
This was a special birthday celebration. The staff at the Water Tower Grill made it very pleasant, great service and good food!
In the culinary wasteland that is Lethbridge, Alberta, the Water Tower Grill and Bar stands like a beacon of hope for the gastronomically deprived. Or so the locals would have you believe. As I approached this alleged oasis of fine dining, my expectations were as inflated as a soufflé fresh from the oven. Alas, like many a poorly executed soufflé, those expectations were destined to collapse. The ambiance, I must concede, was pleasant enough. The warm lighting and inviting decor created an atmosphere that whispered of potential culinary delights. However, this whisper was quickly drowned out by the cacophony of mediocrity that followed. Our server, bless her heart, seemed to be on a journey of discovery herself. Perhaps she was a method actor, immersing herself in the role of a novice waitress to truly capture the essence of inexperience. Her fumbling attempts at service were almost endearing, in the way that watching a newborn foal struggle to its feet can be. Almost. Now, to the main event: the food. The locals had spoken of it in hushed, reverent tones, as if describing a religious experience. What arrived at our table, however, was less divine revelation and more culinary purgatory. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was... adequate. It didnt offend, but neither did it inspire. It was the culinary equivalent of a firm handshake - polite, expected, and utterly forgettable. The Traditional Lasagne, meanwhile, seemed to have gotten lost on its way from Italy, arriving at our table as a pale imitation of its authentic self. One wonders if the chef has ever actually tasted real lasagne, or if their knowledge of Italian cuisine comes solely from the back of a Chef Boyardee can. The Chimichanga, interestingly, showed a glimmer of promise. It was like finding a semi-precious stone in a quarry of mundanity - not quite a gem, but at least it caught the eye. Perhaps the kitchen staff had accidentally stumbled upon a flavor combination that worked, much like a monkey with a typewriter occasionally producing a coherent sentence. Salvation came in the form of dessert. The Haskap Cheesecake was a revelation, a culinary phoenix rising from the ashes of our dashed hopes. It was as if the pastry chef, realizing the mediocrity of the preceding courses, had poured all their skill and passion into this final offering. It was, without doubt, the high point of the meal - though, given what had come before, thats rather like being the tallest molehill. In the end, the Water Tower Grill and Bar is to fine dining what a kiddie pool is to Olympic swimming. Its wet, its vaguely pool-shaped, but youre not going to see any record-breaking performances. For the locals of Lethbridge, starved as they are for culinary excitement, it may indeed seem like a gastronomic paradise. But for those of us who have tasted true culinary greatness, its merely a mirage in the desert of Prairie cuisine. If you find yourself in Lethbridge, by all means, visit the Water Tower Grill and Bar. But do so with the understanding that youre not so much dining out as you are participating in a charming local delusion. And whatever you do, save room for the cheesecake. Its the closest thing to redemption youll find on the menu.
My Fiancee and I had a wonderful time at the Water Tower. The dinner was excellent and the view was amazing. The server we had was fantastic and funny as heck, they even had a highly skilled musician playing the piano while we were there, which made for an amazing experience all around. I am glad Lethbridge has at least one fancy restaurant!
It may be under staffed as it takes a while to get waited on and to get a drink. Some chairs need to be replaced and some repairs need to be done on the lower level. The views are great. Theres lots of seating and parking. Only had drinks. The light German beer in the picture is wonderful. Its a little cold in the winter as all seating is by the windows.
Had a friend down from Calgary and The Keg lost our reservation. Starving we ventured to the Water Tower where we were welcomed with open arms. We ate in the informal area and our fabulous server was Alex. We stayed for hours laughing and catching up. It is dirt cheap compared to The Keg and the service is second to none.
Watertower is a nice place to eat. Wifes birthday dinner with friends. Appetizers were good . Calamari and Bacon wrapped Perogies. The Chicken Farfalle was great The ladies had the Jagerschnitzel and a Steak sandwich all were very good. Even had a birthday Creme Brulee. Would of liked a better seating area was kind of looking at the industrial park. Overall worth the price the Jagerschnitzels are massive in size. Thanks for a great birthday dinner.
Shortly after we were seated, we were told that we had until 7:30 to eat our meal ( an hour and a half) . Our appetizer was just finished when our meal came. Everything was rushed to us. It was not a pleasant experience at all. For the price you pay, it was not worth it. We went for my husbands birthday which was ruined by a very rushed meal. Im a slow eater. I was asked 3 times if I was finished. We never got to enjoy the view. Weve been to the watertower before but Im not sure we will ever go again. Parking: We have a truck and had a hard time getting out since the parking lot was packed.
Kid-friendliness: Our kids really love going there the staff treats them very well Food
Feel the seating is uncomfortable. Tables are small for a group of 4. Food was ok. Garlic toast was tiny on steak sandwich. Lasagna was unexpected white sauce. Prices were high for what we received. i thought i seen 2 dollars for added jalapeños on steak sandwich but was charge 2.50 or 3. i might have had 1 sliver of jalapenos. Had to ask for anything we needed. Steak sauce, more water l. dessert menu. bill. Kid-friendliness: no concern bringing in a 4 year old.
Good food, and really good view of the city, and excellent service
Incorrect hours. Closes at 9pm but Google says 10PM.
Beautiful view looking out over the city. Room is cozy and inviting. We had the date night special and Ive got to say you get bang for your buck! 16oz ribeye with shrimp, need I say more?! Sticky toffee wasnt my favorite but thats just because I prefer a more traditional sticky toffee Parking: The off ramp for the highway is right before the entrance for parking dont accidentally drive the wrong way like I did!
They were amazing and good food and service
The food was a bit spicy for our taste but otherwise very good. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. All in all very nice.
Our server was the besg
Our experience at the tower was great, food and service was superb! Will certainly be back. Thank you! Food
The water tower has some of the best food we have had in Lethbridge lately. It tasted delicious and was cooked to perfection. Andrew was so personable and enjoyable to have as a server.
We had a wonderful table. John suggested a great bottle of wine. Andrew was right on top of the service. The food was well prepared. We will definitely be back with our friends. Great job thank you merry Christmas
Everything perfect.
Our waitor, Andrew, was friendly, attentive, and made us both feel very welcome. And he was quite funny to boot! The lasagna was incredible, cheesy and rich, and the mango Italian soda was pretty dang delicious too! And enjoying everything while overlooking the city was truly a delight. Highly recommend!
Nice atmosphere on the lower level. Pretty good entree. Lots of their aged beef was not available, probably I ll give them another chance to try their offering.
Me and my family had an awesome time here also this guy named Jay he was the best
Was in Water tower bar & grill for my daughter birthday, experienced beautiful place, very nice view from the window and super nice personal. I met Andrew and Jay who was serving our table very quickly and professionally. I had peppercorn New York stake, which was beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. At end of the dinner Jay brought a peace of birthday cake with candle and singing happy birthday with live music. It was awesome. Recommended to everyone!!!!!
Great venue, solid food, and OUTSTANDING service. Andrew made our meal an over-the-top experience. Highly recommend the Water Tower.
Friends and I had an enchanting time at the Water Tower Grill! Andrew gave us top notch service hes professional, courteous, personable and charming/handsome. He gave us helpful recommendations and ensured all orders were as desired. A perfect combo of satisfying food & staff!! Well definitely be back next time were in L.A. Thank you!
Had an amazing time at the Water Tower Grill! Andrew provided outstanding service - super attentive, friendly, and professional. He made great recommendations that turned out delicious, and checked in with out table at just the right times. Will definitely be back, thanks to his excellent hospitality (and the Creme Brulé)!
This was a solid 4 star experience tonight. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, which was good but the banana peppers would be better crispy. We had the strip loin and chimichanga. Both were fairly good. We waited quite awhile for our food.
We loved the music, Rob provided. Jay, our server was very attentive to our needs and ensured our satisfaction. Will be back as often as we can
We had three orders of food, 2 orders of steak neptune were smothered in bernaise sauce so that really ruined the 2 meals. With the third meal, as petty as this may be, the fries that came with the steak sandwich were cold and all the end bits of the bag. We also asked what would be a good bottle of wine to go with these meals. The waitress suggested a bottle (Bonanza) that we sampled when she opened it and the table didnt like it at all so we asked for other options. The waitress took it back but returned with it saying the bartender would not accept it back and she would be charged for it if we didnt take it. Our table was also next to a speaker and the jazz music they were piping in was so loud we couldnt have a conversation at our table. We did however witness what looked like the shift manager berating her staff on 2 separate occasions in the open just past our table so that made things uncomfortable and just overall a bad experience. At the end of the meal we tried to order some dessert and found out what we wanted off the menu they didnt have so the waitress gave us one free dessert as an apology and peace offering for a table of three to share. On a good note the steaks were cooked to the specifications we asked for though.
I have not been to Water Tower in a long time. I made reservations and when we arrived it was not a good experience. After being seated it took 15 minutes to get menus, and I had to get up and ask a server for a menu. Then it took another 10 minutes for someone to come get our drink order and I finally said you may as well take our food order. At the end our waitress said how busy she was and would give us free dessert. The atmosphere for fine dining was poor. A couple drunk young people a couple tables down was not cool. Probably won t come back here again.
I m going to start by saying that the premise of us going was to have a cool experience eating in a water tower. We had zero expectations about the food we were going to eat, even though I d glanced at the menu beforehand, and we didn t really know what kind of cuisine we were getting into. Was it going to be fancy like The Keg, or family style like Denny s? We didn t know what to expect. We went to the casual level. Our reservation was made about an hour and a half before we were due to arrive, on a Friday night. We were seated quickly and drinks were attended to efficiently. We began to read the menu, (2 adults, 3 kids) and it soon became apparent that we would have some problems picking what to eat. Everyone liked what the menu had to offer, and EVERYTHING looked good. We started with Calamari, which was amazing and so tender it almost felt like it melted in your mouth. The tzatziki had the right amount of tang to it to compliment the calamari. My husband ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, which was clearly house made and served with vegetables over a pea puree and potatoes on the side. He cleared his plate, including the pea puree; and this is a man who refuses to eat restaurant vegetables because they are never done correctly. I had the lasagna, which is topped in a bechemel sauce with cheese, and it was perfect. Served with a side Caesar and garlic toast, the lasagna is cooked in a cast iron pan which keeps it piping hot the whole time you are eating. I was impressed with that! Youngest child had a Chicken Mushroom Alfredo he very much enjoyed, it was the first meal he s finished in a month after a bout of pneumonia so I am grateful for that! It must have been good! Middle child procured the fish and chips- HOLY MOLY. Those portions were huge! She loved the fries so much she opened her takeout box as we were walking out to the vehicle after dinner; as a snack. My oldest had the blackened salmon with the same sides that came with the Cordon Bleu and also cleared his plate- the only person who didn t was my middle child because there were larger portions of fish and a massive pile of fries. I think her dad might have had trouble finishing it even! Something that stands out to me about this restaurant and this experience is this- My family almost never shares food. Usually I ll eat my husband s Gross restaurant vegetables or hand off what I can t finish to my teenage son, but with this experience; there was almost no leftovers, but we were left satiated. Further to that, every dish was shared if we thought people would enjoy it. My husband tried the lasagna and said he d order that next time. I tried my daughter s fish after she put some on my plate and I can tell you you ll never have better fish and chips at a restaurant because of that. The pea puree was a wonderful compliment to the perfectly cooked baby potato my husband placed on my plate. We all sampled several elements of what the table ordered. Literally the only complaint I have is the coleslaw (middle child refused to eat it) is too plain. It needs seasoning or some sort of zing. We didn t have room for dessert so I can t speak to that but overall, we were impressed with the entire meal. My husband is a man of few words and hasn t stopped talking about it. Price wise, not overly expensive for a nicer meal. I fed 5 people meals, 4 iced teas and 2 beers for $191 before the tip, and $33.50 of that was beverages. Not bad for a really cool experience with excellent food and ambiance!
Love to come here whenever we are in Lethbridge. Thanks!
First time dining here .Jay our server was very friendly and attentive.Appetizer came quick as well as our meal.We had steak and salmon and everything was delicious .Will definitely return for dinner .Thanks again Jay and kitchen staff.
Very cool atmosphere to see the city and to hear great jazz music during dinner. Food was excellent and server was doing his absolute best considering the large group we had! Well done Water Tower!
Great service and ambiance! Food is good as well!
service was very good, food was delicious, just a little light for me im a big eater, my wife and I shared the steak and 3 prawns, should of been 4.. Had a fan blowing on me, but young man moved it as soon as i asked.. little hard to see the view due to windows being a bit dirty.. Understandable considering location.. All together, it was a memorable night and we will be back..
Anytime we have guests from out of town we bring them to the Water Tower. The food combined with the beautiful view of the city is an amazing experience.
We had a great meal and Andrew was an excellent server.
Andrew was great! Parking: Lots of space Food : 5/5 |
We went in this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our kids. I booked at the 2nd floor which they call it the Formal floor. I see guys wearing baseball caps, jeans, and I am like ok why are they letting customers in on the formal floor when they are wearing casuals instead of nice traditional attire. The music they played wasn t romantic at all. Main course meal was good, and so was desert. Service was average we had no candle light on our table compared to other tables and waited almost 15 minutes to get our bill. Honestly if you want a romantic spot with your loved one, I wouldn t recommend this place. It s more of a casual place especially on the 2nd floor now to eat then a formal place to have a nice quiet meal with your loved one to have a celebration. C+ at best and I am being generous to give that grade.
We have gone to this restaurant many times and find the food and the views spectacular. We had initially tried to go elsewhere without a reservation but it would be a long wait. We went to the Tower and not only got seated at the last table available but had quick efficient and amazing service. Thanks again!
Awesome atmosphere. Great service. Andrew, our server, was exceptional. Great personality. Parking: Lots of free parking and very convenient
Server was absolutely fantastic!! Kalie did a fantastic job at meeting our needs this evening. Table of 6 for my mother s birthday and she didn t blink an eye at all the requests! This girl deserves a raise!!!! Even played great music! If you get the pleasure of having her great personality as a waitress this is a 5 star location for a family outing! Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options
Great food, great service, lovely views across the city. We took friends as a thank you for help they gave during our move to Lethbridge. Throughly enjoyed our whole evening. Would recommend a visit. The prices represent affordability for most budgets. You can keep it reasonable or go all out according to your circumstances.
Our server, Andrew, was awesome! Parking: Plenty of parking. Food : 5/5 |
The restaurant was too hot. I understand the air conditioning was not working and in need of repair. However we were offered a fan for comfort.
Our server Andrew was great and the food was delicious.
Great view in the fall. Server Andrew was funny kind and efficient. Defs recommend the steak sandwich
Great atmosphere, kid-friendly and Andrew was such a good waiter! Very friendly staff! Kid-friendliness: Had a couple kids with our group and they had a blast! They even brought out play-do for them to play with which kept them busy while waiting for food!
Love the water tower - nice spot, nice views, and good lounge food. Thanks guys!
Good food, reasonable prices, and good service. We will be back
I would recommend the butter chicken, the portion was more than sufficient. The staff were attentive and friendly.
Great place. Beautiful venue
Another great meal at the Water Tower Grill. Thanks to our fabulous waiter Andrew, for always making it an enjoyable evening.
We celebrated our anniversary, made a last minute reservation on a Saturday night, as we decided to try something different than our usual places. The restaurant was busy but you didn t notice, we were seated immediately, and the service from Andrew was amazing and full of personality which we love. Food arrived quickly, we had the special of the night as recommended and it did not disappoint. Steaks were cooked perfect. The peach Bellinis are absolutely amazing and could be dangerous as you cannot taste the alcohol in them. We will be back.
This was a very unique experience. I highly recommend. Prices were very reasonable. Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator available.
Nice views, pleasant service, good food.
We booked a table at Water Tower Grill & Bar to celebrate our 41st Wedding Anniversary with our family (7 adults + 1 child). Right from the moment we arrived, staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Jay, our table host, was so efficient and incredibly attentive to each and every guest. Everything about our dining experience was fabulous, from beginning to end! Oh, and did I mention the food was incredible! A heartfelt Thank You to everyone at Water Tower Grill & Bar for helping make our day so special!
Food was good and Andrew was above and beyond, thank you for your recommendations about menu and drinks. GRACIAS!
Was a great place for a birthday celebration! Great food and friendly staff!
amazing service, our server went above and beyond singing & wishing me a happy birthday. has the voice of an angel! great place to eat, and everything was exceptional from start to finish! highly recommended.
Awesome spot for a nice meal out! Dietary restrictions: They have fantastic gluten free options!! Food : 5/5 |
Loved it a bit pricey but worth every penny service and atmosphere amazing
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Watertower Grill last night. We booked an early time to ensure a good table with a view and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly, then Andrew our waiter took our drink and food orders since we already knew what we wanted. He was very engaging and affable and didnt bother us every 5 minutes like some places do. Our food came out soon after. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with extra mushroom sauce and my wife ordered the Chicken Farfalle. Both were excellent, very flavorful large portions with Andrew making sure I was happy with the amount of sauce the kitchen provided - even going back to get me a separate bowl of it as the portion was large. As our meal concluded he surprised us with a complimentary Creme Brulee which was the perfect finishing touch to our meal. I highly recommend the Watertower Grill for any occasion. The ambiance & food has always been excellent & the service great. 5 Stars all around for a perfect evening!
My new husband and I went to the Water Tower to celebrate our new marriage and my husband s birthday. Very welcoming staff, food was great! We had the date night special and it was indeed special. The atmosphere was quite romantic ,except when we arrived we found it was uncomfortably warm. Our server, Andrew, was great to accommodate and brought us a fan .Thank you Andrew for taking such good care of us. We highly recommend this restaurant for the delicious food and the great customer service but there should be better climate control.
Food, service and atmosphere was great. Only issue was the steak knife wasnt sharp enough to cut steak easily.
Wonder evening. 10/10
It was an amazing date night for my boyfriend and I, we loved the cheesecake they had for dessert and the server Andrew was amazing to us.
Andrew was fantastic! The chefs special filet mignon was delicious!
We were seated at a window table with beautiful views of the city, had wonderful and prompt service from our waiter. But the food was amazing. We ordered the date night special and it did not disappoint. Large portions plus it was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend
We had an incredible date night on the casual dining floor. Our server, Andrew, was fantastic - helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humour but wasn t intrusive, he knew how to balance out when to check in on us and when to give us some privacy.
Andrew William Frank was an amazing server, we thoroughly enjoyed the service, the food and the views. The big round table was great for our party of 6. Well be coming back again.
We hadnt tried the Water Tower, but when friends were in from out of town we thought that would be a good time to pay it a visit. I made the reservation on their system for a party of 5 on Level 2; however, when we arrived and were finally greeted by the host, she said I didnt reserve Level 2 and it was full. I showed her the reservation on my phone confirming Level 2 and she sort of shrugged it off with an explanation I couldnt honestly understand. So, we were told the reservation was moved to Level 1(casual) and were seated at a table - ok view but I had also asked for a view and our table was on the interior. Anyway, the atmosphere remains great up there and the service, food, etc. from that point forward was excellent. Our out of town guests loved it and said they would come there again. Would definitely go again but would phone in my reservation...
Good food. Temperature was a little cold and the lighting too low for our parties liking. would go again in the daytime.
We went for our 23rd anniversary and shared the date night special. The meal was excellent as was the calamari appetizer! If you have the app you can get a coupon for $20 off your meal on your anniversary.
It was a little bit cold where we were sitting. Décor and carpets are getting a little worn.
Jay our server was fantastic. And the food is just amazing
Absolutely a pleasure to be there. Jay was one of the best servers Ive ever had. Will return!
I have been here several times and I have to say tonights service was less than stellar. Not sure if I will ever come back as this is the second time that the service was lacking at this location. The Picture Butte location has never disappointed so we will go there from now on. The reasons I am not satisfied: - Waiter delivered a wrong plate to our table. A few minutes later they came to collect it and then brought back another plate that wasnt warm. The steak was dry. - My steak was fatty and seemed like it was multiple steaks glued together. - No offer to refill drinks at anytime through the dinner - This is a weird thing one of my party was having a birthday today. They brought him a dessert without asking and didnt ask the rest of us at the table if we would like to order dessert (which we wanted to) - Chair legs were wobbly. Its the second time we sat at this table and I recall the chair being off the last time as well. - Very strong body odour from one of the servers. Every time the server walked by we got a wif of BO that made us wince. It was distracting. - The other staff were bringing boxes of xmas display and setting this up while we were eating. It was distracting and unprofessional in my opinion. Overall, I expect a little bit of service when dining at a place like this. Please do better. The attitude (look) I got when I didnt tip was upsetting as well. It is not an inexpensive meal so there are expectations.
Our server was delightful and gave us excellent care.sure glad we were there to celebrate my husbands birthday. The complimentary creme brule was much appreciated.you have a return customer.
Excellent food and service Kid-friendliness: Great selection on the kids menu Food : 5/5 |
The Tower Grill is a great place to dine. Two of us shared the kimchi appetizer and each of us had a shrimp tostada which was more than enough. The food was tasty, well presented and our waiter was duly attentive and of course, the view can t be matched.
We had Will as a waiter, my boyfriend and I agreed that he was the best waiter we have ever had. He made sure we were doing good with everything and even took the time to make us laugh!
We were entertaining guests from the USA and France. The staff was very helpful and wonderful. They spoke French and engaged our guests and made the whole dinner very entertaining and enjoyable. Wheelchair accessibility: All facilities are wheel chair accessible. When booking we let the staff know that we would have someone with us and the table was set accordingly. No awkward moments. It was all appreciated.
Two couples out for a nice supper. One couple had the date night special which they had before and it tasted good but was cold. Told the waiter but he kind of just shrugged his shoulders.
Food and service were great, but not many customers so heat was turned down ..pretty cool. Dietary restrictions: Allergies - dealt with properly.
Delicious and amazing food and service definitely worth it!
Ordered the bruschetta and my friend had a steak. The bruschetta sat under the warming lamp and was rubbery. The steak was so undercooked it was not edible. The waitress admitted that the steak my friend got was supposed to go to another table. Her salad was browning and had the wrong dressing and items. We ended up not eating but we re still charged for our 1/2 drank diet Pepsis that we were charged $4.50 each for! And they were flat! Will never return.
Service was great, food was amazing!
We enjoyed our meal at the Water Tower last night. The food was fabulous; the view was amazing and the music wonderful. Andrew does such a great job! Thanks to my friends for the most enjoyable evening!
Went for a girls afternoon to celebrate a birthday and Andrew was our server. He was amazing and very interactive and attentive. Will definetly be back to the lounge!
It was great!!
The only thing I can boast about is the view, such a beautiful view of lethbridge My meal was missing ingredients. Both salmons were overcooked. None of us finished our meals, and the heat on the top level is unbearable on a hot day. They should be a warning for people that its easily 10 degrees hotter and very uncomfortable for people with asthma
4 of us dined, 3 had excellent meals, I had the 16oz rib steak, medium rare and it was very dry with no marbling, most likely due to being medium well when served Parking: Not sure
Ordered their date night special for two, great value, big portions. Ribeye was cooked well, must order their crème brulee!
Before posting this review, I contacted the General Manager (twice) to give him a chance to rectify our experience. No response. The evening cost $291 Chris Jones General Manager Water Tower Grill Chris, I made a reservation for Sunday September 1st on Level II at 4:30 PM to celebrate our anniversary and twins birthday (two days apart). We were enjoying ourselves immensely until the large table arrived. At that point our server Polina appeared to become overwhelmed. For example, we had to remind her our kids ordered ginger ale to drink. It took 40 minutes for the bottle of wine to be presented at the table. For our meal, we chose your Date Night Special. Rare. The presentation in a cast iron frying pan with tongs was a surprise! Not sure how one was expected to divide three prawns? The steak was over-cooked ... perhaps due to it continuing to simmer in the hot pan. The greatest disappointment was we did not receive any sauteed mushrooms as advertised. Definitely a memorable meal !! I would be reluctant to recommend anyone indulge in your $130 porterhouse if the chef is unable to grill it to ones liking. John Baker
Incredible atmosphere and great food. Unfortunately, after appearing to forget entirely that service is about the customer s experience as opposed to his own, our exceedingly loud waiter decided to announce the tip he expected and then watch over our shoulders and broadcast the tip as entered. I ve never seen anything like it. So tacky.
We went for the casual dining for my sons birthday. For price and food we would choose other places for our family. We felt we paid for the experience of the environment, the kids were disappointed there was no chocolate milk, for family of 4 it wasnt worth the 100$, we ordered water and the kids regular milk, no dessert, the menu stated starter salad in my order but was delivered with the meal, they didnt have what my husband originally wanted from the menu, we werent served to the standard I would hope for having kids with us (waited a long time for check ins and it was not busy on our level as far as we could observe). Very cool to see and experience Lethbridge from this point of view, nice it wasnt too windy and we could go out on the deck. Not a regular visit for us, even with prices going up everywhere. Would give it another chance, but not soon. Kid-friendliness: Prices are better other places for more included. Neat view and experience.
We went for thr first time at the end of Sept, 2024 I enjoyed the different choices of seating at our table. we were greeted promptly and offered menus and something to drink. We noticed that your menu did not offer any Vegetarian options besides salad. This was a dissapointment, considering your restaurant is a landmark site. i feel the addion of a few vegetarian options would be a great inclusion to the menu. Either addition or a recipe be able to have protein options. We also noticed that the restaurant requires some minor repairs along the floor edge and window sill. The waiter was prompt and attentative to our needs ( water/drink refill.) We will return, hopefully there may be some chenges in the future.
Great service, balanced serve and leave to eat. Perfect Medium rare filet mignon! Melt in your mouth and cocao flavour galore, chocolate cake with drizzle chocolate and ice cream. Fantastic view
The main was very good with proper attention to the vegetable sides. The steak was cooked as ordered, very tender. The salad was not great, I didn t care for the raspberry vinaigrette and there was too much of it. The dining room was nice but seemed too warm and the temporary fans that were set up were a visual and audio distraction. Over-all dining experience was okay.
We had a great evening at the Water Tower. Jay was our server and he did an outstanding job of looking after us. My ribeye steak was one of the best I have ever had!
The prime rib sandwich is on the menu however we were informed it was no longer an actual dish the restaurand serves. That was very disappointing. Also, my husband ordered the New York steak medium well and received something that was covered in peppercorn and medium rare.
Great choices on the menu, reasonably priced $20-40 depending on the dish. Rewards programs if you are interested. Will go back to try different items on the menu.
Wonderful view. Menu with many choices. Good was yummy. The service was fantastic. We felt very well taken care of. Well be back.
First and foremost our server, Polina, was phenomenal; always accessible without being overbearing and never once did I reach the bottom of my water glass. Our food was served promptly and was quite delicious. The vibrant hues of sun set behind the Rocky mountains was a lovely background to the fall display put on by our cities canopy. A very enjoyable evening made all the better by the excellent service.
My order was wrong the service was very slow and we went there for my husbands birthday and it was not recognized by the staff even though it was on the reservation. Another guests birthday was recognized. Very disappointed
Fabulous Food, Stellar servers and great views! Parking: Plenty of parking this evening. Food : 5/5 |
It was just fine. Probably wont be back. Very pricy for what you get, our server was lovely, but hard to understand due to English not being his first language. The coolest part was the Atmosphere. Something to experience once.
Ordered the Schnitzel dish. Seasonal vegetables consisted of 3 hard carrots and one shrivelled broccoli. Food took almost 2 hours to show up and drinks stayed empty for way too long. I don t know what was up but the food is usually a touch better than that. Frustrating when you are paying the prices they charge.
Food was expensive and was very small portions. The calamari looked big, but once you got through the fried onions and banana peppers, there wasnt much there. Also the bed of lettuce was heaped in the center to make it look like there was more calamari. The steak sandwich was good although very small. Choosing a side Caesar salad instead of fries cost an extra $4 which is ridiculous. We ate in the lounge. Once we sat down, tables of families with small children arrived. The children were loud and running around the lounge. I didnt know that infants were allowed in the lounge. It made a miserable dining experience, especially for the money spent. This was my fourth visit and none of them have been spectacular.
Ive come here almost every time I come to work and its usually pretty good bar service. For some reason this time not that good. If Im paying these prices I wouldnt mind a bit better service. I ordered a 50$ steak rib eye and a pinot nior but the steak was medium when I ordered medium rare and trying to get a drink took way to long I was not happy this time which is to bad. Maybe its one of those places going down hill. Not worth it this time
Great meal - decent atmosphere. Arrogant server!! Wife tipped Jay over $20 but apparently he got his math wrong - walked passed us and said with a tone thanks for the ten bucks wife hauled him back and shown him he got $20 plus!!! What a cheek. Jay needs tuning in!!
The setting is amazing, the food is so good. Favourite place to go since we moved here.
NEW VISIT OCT 11 2024: I forgot my review form last time, and I was here a week ago for a business dinner and it was alright. So I took my wife to the 2nd floor again this eveing. The food was not very good. I had ordered a side of peppercorn whiskey barbecue sauce for my wife, and got some with my steak as well. It was extremely salty, and it had an overwhelming seasoning, almost like a cilantro. I also ordered a side of sauteed mushrooms. They tasted like were sauteed in MCT oil, there was absolutely no flavour. They barely tasted like mushrooms. I added salt, but they were not edible. My vegetables were like warm at best. It was not near as busy, and yet still waited a long time for service. I was going to mention my issues to the server, but of course she never asked me how my meal was. I paid for everything we did not eat, and will be sure not to return. I dont often recommend NOT visiting an establishment, but sadly in this case, I do. Its not worth the money, and they clearly have not made any improvements. One thing I will say, is the first floor casual dining, was much better than the fine dining It was alright. Seated beside a large party, made it impossible to hear our own thoughts. Waitress was sadly overworked, which resulted in long wait times between service. The food was alright, I was honestly expecting a little more prestige. That being said, for a city the size of lethbridge, it is pretty good. The price was a little high for the quality. They moved our seats, which helped a little. The view is alright, but not alot to look at. All in all, Id rather be on the ground with great food and service.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out the door we were so impressed! The atmosphere, the service and the food was absolutely incredible. Thankyou Andrew for an amazing experience! We look forward to coming back and trying some new menu items!
Meal was amazing
all staff were very good
Awesome experience, great service and delicious food. We were there to celebrate a birthday, and they gave us a free crème brûlée for dessert! The view of the city was beautiful and it was cool to see how they remodelled the water tower on the inside. We will definitely be back!
One of my favourite spots!
Our server, Burino(sp?)was very good and and Andrew was very good! The greeter (not sure of her name) came down quickly to my car with my phone which I d left behind! Amazing all around!
The food was amazing! The view spectacular!! Friendly servers!! Cant wait to return!! We tried the chicken marsala and steak Neptune! Amazing!! You have to try those dishes! #viewatthewatertower Food : 5/5
Had a booking for second teir upon arrival they said we are closed had to go to the first teir the food was terrible and day old sauces not impressed for the price of everything payed a reservation fee to have a formal supper and was sent down to the causal level all and all will never go back
Great atmosphere and excellent food.
The meal and location were both good but the service from Andrew is what really made the experience! He treated us all wonderfully and made certain that our guest of honour was celebrated in every way possible.
The waiter Andrew always had jokes and made the atmosphere full of laughter the food was amazing nothing to complain about
The waiter by the name of Andrew is a great person knows how to liven up the place with his jokes the food was great would absolutely recommend eating here
Andrew is the best he is very chill and he gets ya laughing. I enjoyed having him as my waiter.
We had a great server, James, the food was excellent, kudos to the staff at the Water Tower Grill
I had made reservations three weeks out as I knew it could possibly be busy with the college convocation. We arrived exactly at our reservation time only to be told our table wasnt ready. We werent seated for 20 minutes. Defeats the point of making a reservation. Its a beautiful restaurant. Great atmosphere. Our appies were fantastic. Our mains were just OK. Server was good although we had to ask twice for water. Cocktails were excellent.
Celebrating a birthday
Enjoyed my steak sandwich, but it was very salty and had an upset stomach during the night. Not sure if I would order this dish again. We were seated right in front of the kitchen door and therefore poor atmosphere.
My favorite place for special occasions - great food, friendly service- I never leave regretting the evening
Had a great evening at the Water Tower. The food was delicious, the service was great and the view was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Lethbridge.
Great food Great atmosphere Great service Andrew Food : 5/5
Great food & atmosphere. Amazing service, thank you Andrew!!
We had a great meal with excellent service at a reasonable price.
Our family of four had a fantastic time at the Water Tower. Our waiter Andrew was exceptional. The food was scrumptious and the local beers I tried were very tasty too: Blood orange ale (Medicine Hat) and Little Gem Haskap Cider.
We enjoyed our meals very much. The service was great. The only downside were the chairs were not exactly comfortable and so large and difficult to move. It also made us feel cramped to the next table.
$28 for a 6inch round lasagna that was 3/4 deep and covered in about half a litre of oil. Still had the balls to charge full pop after I refused to eat my meal. Some of the most lazy service too.
Had the absolute worst experience last night. We had a reservation for 4 at 730. At first they tried to seat us at a table that was only for two people but they put 4 chairs at it. We ended up moving tables, then we ended up waiting about 35 minutes for anyone to even bring us water. Then waited another 10 for menus, server took forever to take our orders and to bring us drinks. The food came out all wrong, we then had to keep asking other servers walking by to fill our drinks . The food was subpar at best. Definitely not worth the 21$ a plate. Weve been a few times before but this by far has been the worst experience. Unfortunate that this place has gone downhill. We ended up being there for almost 2 1/2 . Service needs to be evaluated definitely. And they clearly dont know how to cook a steak. Absolutely terrible.
Interesting experience, however, they had tower fans going as there was no air conditioning. Not sure if this was a temporary situation, but it was really hot. We were also seated on the sunny side of the restaurant which made it even worse. My steak salad was delicious, but as someone who doesnt like spice, I was glad I switched out the lime-chili vinaigrette for the balsamic. My husband had the beef tenderloin and the carrots were heavily spiced. The two other dishes, while spice was expected, they were very spicey. If I go back, Ill make sure their ventilation system is working. Its also looking a bit worn (some windows were foggy/leaking), think the decor could use some TLC. Its such an interesting place to go, hope to give it another chance.
Steak was done perfectly, pepsi was bubbly, and the music on a monday night was fantastic. Oh, the view was good also.
Best view in town! Great service and food quality
Great service and great food as always.
Great food and service- relaxing date night
Great food!!! Awesome service!!! Always a favourite place!!! Kid-friendliness: Love coming here as a family!!! Thank you for being such a great place!!!
Delicious!
My first time there was a wonderful experience will definitely be back Parking: Was there for lunch and there was all kind of parking spots Food : 5/5 |
All around a great dinner!
The dinner for two was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection. The server was diligent and friendly. Amazing!! 10 out of 10!!!
Speedy great food and service. Schnitzel was great and nostalgic for me being my favourite food when younger. Me and my girlfriend came at sunset and it was very beautiful.
The experience was better than the food. Any meal with garlic bread came with half a piece of bread, a steak sandwich with only 1 piece of bread. The fish and chips were soggy. The chicken farfalle was good but lacking in chicken for its price point. You could tell the waiter was waiting for us to leave(we were waiting for the bill) because he stopped filling our waters. I found that really funny after what was spent on the meal.
Fantastic evening with the best service Dietary restrictions: Great menu selection Food : 5/5 |
Good steak !
Awesome Date Night Steak Special, superb service and attention to detail. Parking: easy to find, lots of room easy access Food : 5/5 |
Jay is a very good waiter and it was nice to Learn about the various really good wines available Parking: Lots of available parking.
Nicely laid out interior, it was a busy day, yet it didnt feel crowded. Food and service was great making a wonderful place to eat when your in town! Vegetarian options: They have several options I believe that are vegetarian friendly as well as gluten free options. Parking: It was a busy day, yet there were still plenty of spots to park. Kid-friendliness: Person next to us have a baby in a stroller, they were able to accommodate a place to place the stroller as well as provide a high chair for their kid.
Food is average at best and a bit too pricey for that. Service and atmosphere is good.
We really enjoyed our anniversary meal, the service (Anna) was excellent. Parking: Lots of parking. Food : 5/5 |
Everything is always an enjoyable experience. Thank you
Dinner was excellent
We enjoyed our birthday celebration last night the staff was absolutely accommodating and pleasant . Each of us enjoy our meals perfectly cooked to order steaks. Parking: Easy
Other than mixing up our steak order, the food was very tasty. I would recommend date night here. B
Excellent food preparation, excellent size proportions, above and beyond service. I even had some to take home! Excellent atmosphere. We enjoyed our walk outside the Water Tower. Great view of the city! We will visit again soon!
This was our first visit to the Water Tower. We were very pleased with our experience. The service, food and drinks were top notch. We will be back for sure. Parking: Very easy to access and plenty of room.
Was very disappointed when the waiter refused to allow my 84 year old grandmother from ordering from the kids menu. She does not have a big appetite and really wanted to try the junior pasta.
Great food and views.
Loved it! Awesome service, great food and you cant beat the views! Best chicken wings! Love the Whisky BBQ sauce.
Decided on the chicken Marsala, and it was a delicious experience! Grateful for the view while I enjoyed my meal! Will definitely be back!
Very good food and good service, very much enjoyed our meal Parking: ample parking Food : 5/5 |
I took my two 9 year old grandsons for lunch this past week. They loved everything about the Watertower . As did I!
I ve been here before and had a better experience so maybe a bad night for the establishment. Although the waiter was polite and friendly, service was extremely slow. We had to wait too long to be offered water. The food was sub par compared to my previous visits. Overall disappointing.
Although I made a reservation a day ahead, our table was at the service entrance on the east side. Other than having a nicer table, it was a good experience.
The food was excellent. Parking: Easy access and convenient parking. Food : 5/5 |
We had a great night at the Water Tower. We enjoyed the Date Night Special and the portions were perfect. Great atmosphere and we enjoyed our evening.
Great view and location. Bit over priced but I never have a bad time.
This is my 2nd time eating here when I come to visit my home town Lethbridge, the food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly. The views from the viewing platform that goes right around the whole tower are absolutely amazing I highly recommend the Water Tower Grill for your next evening out.
Pork had to be sent back. Totally raw
