1170 R. de Courchevel, Lévis, QC G6W 0P2, Canada
Stopped by for dinner, Cesar salad, shrimps and veal. Mostly alright but nothing unique. Would go again if it wasn't for the price. Quality vs price doesn't match for us.
food is good but portions are smaller than the average portion at other restaurants
Every trip my family makes going through Quebec City we always stop for breakfast here or at the location across the river. There are cheap imitations of this chain, like Pur & Simple but they are just that, a cheap comparison. It is worth your trip as every dish looks amazing and everyone that I've tried was. I wish I could eat dinner here, maybe next trip. This chain is in my top three for restaurants. I really enjoy it here.
We weren't sure what to expect from a chain restaurant but were very pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is very spacious with modern Parisian vibes - when we arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday, we were seated right away. There are some larger tables as well which would be great for groups. We ordered from the table d'hôte (dinner set menu) to share - the shellfish bisque, smoked pork belly, grilled rainbow trout, steak frites with mushroom sauce and ending with the creme brulee and chocolate mousse cake. Dishes were all fantastic and portion sizes were good. The rainbow trout was a bit bland on its own, could've used more seasoning. Otherwise, everything was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. We really loved the desserts too, especially the chocolate mousse cake which was rich and decadent. Overall, very good value for the quality and quantity of food. Service is very friendly and efficient - we don't speak a word of French but Alicia made us feel right at home. 4.5/5
This is a must go restaurant. The atmosphere and Service was incredible. The food was amazing and Prices are very affordable. I can’t wait to go back.
Had lunch in this beautiful « Parisian themed » decorated restaurant. The ambiance was great , the staff were really friendly and efficient. The food was good but a bit overpriced in my opinion compared to a lot of other restaurants that serve the same type of food and quality. Still a very good choice to go eat in this restaurant. We had the « poutine tout cochon » & the « Fish’n chips de morue »… both were very tasty.
This is a real gem. We had 3 dinners here and the food was all amazing. The service was excellent too and some of the staff does not speak English but they do their best. The decor is really nice and unique as well. Our first meal we ordered one of the $30 menus. We had as apps Corn chowder w bacon/shrimp cakes, main we ordered Cod with coconut curry and rice noodles. Deser was Carrot cake and chocolate cake. We sat at the bar as there were no available tables but we got the opportunity to watch the bartender make amazing drinks. Our 3 meals are pictured here...
I was expecting a big folded omelette. Instead it's more like oven baked and a bit dry. The breakfast poutine was very good!
Much to my disappointment, I was very disappointed with my experience. First, the onion soup was really bland, tasteless, serious lack of seasoning, thin broth that tasted like water or almost, not to mention the small amount of onions and too much bread. The worst onion soup Ive had in a long time. Really, either I came across a seriously botched recipe or they need to go back to the drawing board urgently for this recipe. Second, obvious problem in the kitchen or lack of manager because one person in our group of 9 was served their main course more than 15 before the other plates. Result = she ate alone and was almost finished when the others were served. Third, the Philly-style beef sandwich. Way below a similar average sandwich. The bread was practically soft or almost, no consistency. Passable beef but I doubt it was brisket. Looked more like Chinese fondue beef. Cheese, mushrooms and onions lacking taste and seasoning. The dipping sauce was far from a simple meat gravy, it had the texture and sweet taste of a low-end BBQ sauce. Bad combination with a sandwich. The mayonnaise was simply indigestible. I didnt touch it except to pin it twice to make sure I wasnt crazy. A second person tasted and came to the same conclusion. Either it was no longer good, or it was also the worst mayonnaise I have tasted in my life. The coleslaw was good. The server was polite and efficient. The decoration is good. And the other people in the group were satisfied, nothing more, with their meal. In short, a very bad experience. And at the price that restaurants are charging in 2024, it s clear that I won t go back to a crazy pig. The bond of trust is no longer there.
So much friendly staff. Excellent service and problem handling. Thanks to the manager that evening.
Everything was very good but particularly the beetroot tartare as a starter. Very nice atmosphere in the bar and friendly waitresses.
We were a group of 30 people with children, we were warmly welcomed and were served and taken care of quickly, great service with a smile, excellent food. We will come back. THANKS !
Parking: No Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Great service, Justine, the waitress, had a wonderful smile. The meal was excellent, as usual. This is my favorite restaurant!!!!!
Excellent place for lunch with friends, family or even alone. The atmosphere is good, the service is excellent, the food is good and the plates are beautiful. Plus its a place where you can take your time.
Busy Sunday lunchtime. We didnt have a reservation, but we didnt wait long for a spot. Very good service, courteous staff and good food. We were brought pencils and coloring paper for a child without even asking. Nice place to eat.
We went a while ago. The food was very good. We spent $80 for one appetizer, one drink and two entrée.
Its always a pleasure to go to this restaurant. I had made a reservation for 6 people including my 95 year old mother. The welcome is warm, the hostess ensures that the table suits us. It was Mélanie who served us with her smile. Everything is good shrimp, the seafood pot-en-pot. My mother ordered maple salmon and the carrot cake dessert. Thanks again and see you again in a month
Excellent lunch and exceptional service
got steak, and chicken fingers. the only thing that tasted good was the ketchup. every part of the meal was the worst thing Ive ever eaten
Our family had a great time in the restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Once we are back to Quebec City, we will definitely visit again!
Service and food were excellent!
Quick, efficient, and friendly service without compromising presentation or taste - lots of large windows made thus a bright airy experience- like eating outdoors but better. Kudos to our server, she got everyones order and payment details right on - highly recommended!
Delicious just wow magical
Great service from Maude L! I recommend 100%!
Lots of employees, excellent service Smile, kind. Always good, thank you Vegetarian options: Salad Dietary restrictions: No problem for us but they are very attentive it depends on your intolerance Parking: Easy to park Do you have any problem In Quebec it s more difficult Parking at Place d houvil or the street More. Walking Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes for easy entry But the toilets are the shortcoming Down or up
Always exemplary service
Brunch was excellent service food and atmosphere
Good food.
We went Thursday evening at 6 p.m. Terrible service. We received our glasses after 50 minutes without any exaggeration! Not even water on the table. We have been completely forgotten. The waitress came back to take our order after 1 hour. Several order errors. My friend ordered a white beer, he received a blonde. I received the bloody without the bacon sausage as indicated on the menu. I asked for curry sauce, but received spicy mayonnaise. Steak requested rare, received medium well done and tasteless. The fries are dry and cold, they look like they have been dipped back into oil. No napkin, no coasters so wet tables. Beef carpaccio very very small portion compared to other restaurants and not wow, just like the salmon. A disappointment, it s a shame. Beautiful terrace all the same!
No delivery
Excellent service. Always smiling and courteous. Good food, quality ingredients. Lives up to the reputation.
We went as a group to celebrate a friends birthday and we had superb service, the employees were very smiling and kind! Good food, thank you very much!
Im a fan of lunches at Cochon Dingues when I visit the region. For dinner, it was the worst meal Ive had at a restaurant in years. The menu said Flank of veal topped with sauce. I asked for medium cooking. I received a tiny piece of meat, overcooked and without sauce. No mayo for the fries, and that after waiting for almost an hour. I received a new flank steak, more appropriately cooked but tasteless, and after the others at my table had finished their meal. The waitress forgot the mayo after asking for more. The fries were cold because I waited too long and no excuses. Very bad experience. To think that I have recommended this restaurant so many times.
Very generous, delicious dishes
Gluten-free menu ***** Table service. ***** Location not easy to find Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free menu Suggestion: potatoes without contamination would be good
Good food, good service, good atmosphere, I was not disappointed
Fresh and tasty food at an affordable price. Very pleasant atmosphere.
Good atmosphere but overloaded restaurant. Reception staff not very attentive, thats the big negative point. Kid-friendliness: Not suitable for children.
Excellent service, waitress attentive to our requests
It s very convenient since it s attached to Hampton Inn Hotel and is accessible through the lobby, so you don t have to go outside when it s cold or too hot. It also is spacious with a lot of room for groups. The food is okay; it wasn t extraordinary, but not bad either. The service is good; fast and efficient.
Good food and good service from Jessyca
We went to Fathers Day at 11am. Not too crowded and the service was quick. We had a small booth and a high chair was made available very quickly. The food was enjoyed by everyone. I highly suggest having some baguette and apple butter with your lunch/brunch!
Its already been very good but this time its rather ordinary, very ordinary.
GOOD
Superb restaurant, excellent service with a smile, delicious dishes! I love the atmosphere.
Very ordinary food
If you want to wait forty minutes sitting on a hard bench or wooden chair for frozen food, reheated in the oven or on the grill, neither salted nor oversalted, then this restaurant is for you. Waste time, lose your appetite and be disappointed
Excellent crème brûlée. Courteous and smiling waitress. Relaxed atmosphere
Very good food for both lunch and dinner. Fast and courteous service every time
Delicious and impeccable service
Great french food. Will definitely comeback.
We went to Cochon Dingue in Saint-Romuald to celebrate the 65th birthday of my partner Chantal. Our waitress, Miss Alicia B., was attentive to all our needs and her good humor allowed us to enjoy this moment so important to us. Alicia made a big difference to our experience at Pig Dingue and we are definitely going back!!! Our Mimosas were perfect and the food perfect Great teamwork!!!
We had steak and fried chicken. The quality of food was so bad. The steaks were burnt. Fries were so bad. The waitress was nice and when she found we were not happy with food, she offered cake but the cake was not good at all. Also, we told the waitress that is the birthday but she didn t bring the cake with candles. Generally it s not recommended at all.
Nice place, food is good, but not to die for. Expensive though.
Very good meal. Generous table d hôte Recommended
As you know I am bigger and greedy than the average bear and this time I tried the Cochon Dingue restaurant. What a pleasant surprise for lunch with my clients.
Courteous without more
Rather quiet for a Friday evening. We ate well and the service was friendly and fast. Anne-Sophie clearly recommended her favorites as well as the dish that had less positive comments. Dishes full of flavor at an affordable price. Few know it, but it is possible to park underground for free for 75 minutes. For hotel people, this restaurant is accessible from the inside, a big plus in winter! If you are with family, this restaurant is a sure value! Parking: Possibility of parking underground free of charge for 75 minutes. Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu and possibility of coloring
I went there with my loved one and we really liked the experience The food was delicious and it was the best service we have had in a restaurant. Shout out to Émilie on Sunday evening January 28.
Very courteous and fast service
Good restaurant, both for lunch and dinner
Very nice experience overall. I am autistic. We had asked for a table where there was less noise and we were able to have a quiet meal without too many people around. . The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, thats all. It was a Thursday evening 6:30 p.m.
Good food despite my AAA steak being a little disappointing, the rest was very good. Service a little slow but the waitress was polite and nice.
Food was delicious. Awesome service!
Generally good. Nice place. Nice variety. When I visited, the staff was very young. The result was that the service was slow despite half capacity and the food was strangely dry.
Cozy place, very nice, delicious food and coffee as well.
Visit on December 31 for lunch. Always on point! From every point of view: service, value for money. The restaurant was full and even attentive service! Congratulations to the whole team and happy new year 2024!
Always good at the pig.
Very good service but and nice atmosphere which concerns me the food was lukewarm so I would have liked a little hotter otherwise excellent
Super good restaurant and good service
I love this place, the service is fast, the food is excellent, very nice atmosphere. Beautiful location for family reunions. I like it a lot. . congratulations on this restaurant.
Great service for breakfast, the waitress was very nice and pleasant!
Great service and excellent food
We had a lovely evening and ate very well.
Dry and flavorless lunch. Duck confit omelette on the porch 2 years . I only ate the Half it was dry, overcooked and I never found the cheddars. Roasts with little butter, roast potatoes with little flavor. Wise, kind waitress offers me another omelette which I refuse due to lack of desire.
Way too expensive for the quality of the food
Met with 2 friends yesterday for breakfast. Service top notch! Really impressed that the server turned her whole body around and coughed into her elbow when she had just a slight cough. Very considerate! She clearly wasn t sick and she protected her customers. We all loved our breakfasts! Fruit was fresh, eggs were cooked exactly as ordered, provided, jam, appeared, homemade, and tea/drinks all higher grade. Average cost for each breakfast was around $15-)20 and I feel it was worth it.
It was ok
First time at this location we will definitely be back
Restaurant with few people. We had to wait several minutes before we were assigned a table. We have the (one for two) lunch and meal menus. Several minutes later, we have to ask for coffee. Some time later, our waiter arrives and tells us: Its been 7 minutes since lunch has been possible. Finally, our plates arrived quickly, but very lukewarm. Also the waiters spoke very loudly in them.
Always very good and nice atmosphere.
Excellent service, very friendly and efficient. Excellent food.
Excellent for everything!!!
I had the special poutine and it was delicious, its been a while since Ive had such good homemade fries. The waitress Émilie was super nice and the service was excellent.
Very good lunch and lovely atmosphere!
Very good food and atmosphere!!
Not so French cuisine but still very good.
I had the Chevroux (sp?) plate and a cappucino and it was fantastic. Great portion size, excellent taste on the food and coffee. And they gave a little smoothie shot as a starter. Highly recommend.
I wasnt impressed at all. To begin with, the delay in receiving our entries was quite long. Afterwards, my starter was the carpacchio, it was very bland. As a main course, steak & fries. My steak arrived medium while I asked for rare and my fries were soft and lukewarm. My plate was returned. My steak came back and this time it was pink, but still not rare. Not to mention the crazy sauce which is no longer what it used to be, because it looked more like a hollandaise. Unfortunately, the service wasnt impressive either. Having worked for this channel, I was disappointed!
Great food
Very pleasant. Jovial staff. Menu of varied specialties. Outstanding.
Coffee included, but which was not good, meals not seasoned enough. The meal was not worth the amount paid.
Great experience
Very good food and great service.
Good service. Very interesting positioning for weekend races. The menu has improved since the pandemic, which is nice.
Good service and dirty lunch
Perfect! The food was delicious, the waiter (Gabriel) was really friendly and very funny. He really knew how to energize our time at the restaurant. We were on the terrace on a warm summer evening and it was unusual, very quiet, but it made us happy. Aperitif: Bloody Cochon and Azimut, a little too much ice cream for my taste, but I forgot to mention that Im not an ice cream lover . Starter: cheese fondue (delicious) and salmon tartare (good, dill and caper flavor) Meals: Rib for Mr. and Steak for me. The cooking was perfect, however I took the Dingue sauce for the sake of adventure, but it less suited my taste palette. Thanks to Gab and the whole team for this great dinner.
Pleasant service, a little long, but we were eating during busy periods and we had been warned so I dont really remember it! Very good food and atmosphere, maybe missing some piped music outside
Went to restaurant with family on Dec 19, 2021. I had the duck grilled cheese and got food poisoning. Family enjoyed other dishes with no issues. Good service and friendly staff but would not recommend to others.
I am never disappointed at Cochon Dingue the morning flower waffle with maple cream is excellent Vegetarian options: There is a vegan breakfast sandwich (Veganwich) and several other meat-free options on the menu, such as pancakes and waffles.
Disappointing this time: burnt toast, very bland potatoes. Before it was potatoes with onions, there, nothing, no seasoning. Bacon cooked to perfection. Excellent old-fashioned hot chocolate. Difficult service. We had to ask for water several times, no refills during the meal. Parking: Parking adjacent to the business.
Nice atmosphere. Very good service. Unfortunately, some dishes were much too salty, which still made it very expensive for dishes served with too many fries to fill the plate.
Great atmosphere, great service, very salty food. Vegetarian options: Adapted menu
Very disappointed. Several items are not available (for several weeks according to what I was told) from the table dhôte and we do not replace them and/or only inform the customer at the last minute. I dont recommend.
Our waitress was exceptional! Very nice restaurant! It was quick to get a place.
Plate of pan-fried salmon with white rice and vegetables Parking: Electrical terminals available on site Kid-friendliness: Lots of choice at good prices Wheelchair accessibility: It is very easy to access the restaurant with a wheelchair
Very nice and fairly new
When we compare the breakfasts, the presentation is lacking, the quantity is also limited and the price is very high compared to what many other restaurants offer us. Le Cochon Dingue would benefit from visiting the competition like a (Delice) a (Coco Frutti) excellent presentation, quantity, quality and for the same price. A very positive note however for the very professional staff.
Noisy,
Very pleasant dining experience. We reserved a table and were arranged to a table near the window, really good view and perfect service. Our favorite is the pork ribs and the pot-en-pot. The dessert crème brûlée with vanilla is a must try.
Excellent lunch!!!
Correct! Beautiful place, well decorated, pleasant atmosphere. Basic service and cuisine.
Delicious food and fast service
I loved the waiters are great the food is really amazing and delicious! It was classy while being kid friendly 100% I recommend!
Overall ok for the food and basic but ok service but although my darling and I ate face to face and had chosen to sit next to each other for dessert because there were only 2 tables left, one in the same part of a room and the other in a box. We kissed lovingly and 4 minutes later we had a visit from the manager to warn us that this was uncomfortable for the customers. I told him I was paying and we left, FYI bill $110 for brunch and steak and a glass of wine. I am a restaurant manager myself and I go through each service at all the tables to find out if everything is OK. Okay. In the case of this manager, an initial exchange would have been very appreciated and above all would have allowed his waitress to have a bigger tip. This will be my last visit to this place
Great vegan options
Always worth a visit when in Quebec City. Have never been disappointed. Food is great Parking: Has 3 electric EC outlets Kid-friendliness: Kids meals available
Excellent food and service. Love the atmosphere as well.
Very good restaurant, pleasant staff but too stressful for the tip at the end!
The service is excellent. The dishes are original and very delicious.
I love their food and exceptional service
Very beautiful crazy pig, the food is excellent and the service impeccable!
Bad experience. Slow service despite the restaurant being not very busy. The onion soup was bland, the salmon tartare not extraordinary. The steaks were not cooked properly. The only thing that was good was the blood sausage. The chocolate cake was dry, as if it had been overcooked or lacked water. For the price of 4 it was really disappointing. Almost $300. I recommend settling for the table dhôte which is less expensive. Very disappointed with my experience.
The service is friendly and here are my comments for the double cream brie and long coffee benedictines. Delicious. Fresh products. Well executed dish. I will go back there soon.
We ordered a poutine and a burger and fries, it was incredible! The squeakiest freshest cheese curds and the burger was delicious. Such a cute place to have a bite to eat. Service was amazing too.
Nice atmosphere, very good service
The dishes are small for the asking price. The service is too long. The waiters are too busy serving instead of serving! For a bill of $94 for 2 people, nothing exceptional! Thought about it twice before going back!
French decor, French cuisine but made in Quebec. The cheese and charcuterie plate makes you have a great time during your aperitif.
Great experience. The plates are really generous! And staff #1!!
The last two times I went there I was disappointed for two reasons: I ate cold (even the hot chocolate was not hot) and the quality is no longer what it used to be while the prices have increased. Small mention for the cardboard cups of jam and ketchup, it does not live up to the reputation of the restaurant pleasure group! Otherwise the decor is magnificent and you feel good there.
Lunches are very ordinary for the price. I do not recommend!
Very kind staff
To highlight an event
Good food, I didnt call decors
