An affordable and friendly restaurant.

We had a confirmed reservation for 9 people, and when we arrived there, we were told that the restaurant was full. Luckily, they were able to seat us in the bar. The meal was satisfactory for the price.

Normandin avenue Taniata, I specify because I have not had this kind of bad experience at other Normandin. The Chinese fondue pizza on delivery, my girlfriend did not check the contents on delivery. the delivery man might well have laughed out loud when he left our house. the pizza was spilled. All the filling was in the bottom of the box. This experience adds to a dinner in the dining room without service, table dhôte with goose pâté and a beer. we left with a bill of almost $100 for the contents of a childs plate. Now I think the weather will have to be bad for me to return to this Normandin. I recommend doing a little more mileage and going elsewhere.

Clearly, the labor shortage is not everywhere in Lévis. Indeed, at the Normandin restaurant in Saint-Jean Chrysostome, they are comfortable enough to allow themselves to address a 15-year-old who just wants to come and bring his CV. Being a customer of this restaurant myself, I wanted to contact a manager in order to obtain explanations. I must admit that the manager was able to manage the situation on the phone with me. Disastrous dining experience. I ordered the fish with vegetables and mash: the fish fillet was stiff and very dry, tasted like old fish, the vegetables (especially the large slices of carrot) were dried out, to the point that I couldnt even eat them. prick them with my fork, they had obviously spent some time in the freezer where they had shriveled. Concerning the mash, when I stuck my fork in it, the entire block of mash came out because it was so compact, no taste, its a mash that had obviously never seen anything other than a little water from the tap, no salt, no pepper, no milk, even less butter or cream. When the nice waitress came to ask us if things were going well, I told her no, that my dish was not good, it was the first time in my life that I sent a plate back to the kitchen, and yet I I have sometimes eaten poorly cooked and tasteless things, but then I told the waitress that I advised the cook to check the condition of his frozen foods and to throw away the bag in which he had taken my vegetables. This dish is basic cuisine, nothing complicated, the prices are high, as a matter of principle, we do not put on the menu a dish that we do not know how to cook, otherwise it is at least called a lack of ethics , or even theft. My husband and children had poutine, the fries also seemed to be poor quality frozen foods, the portions were small considering the price, but as it didnt have too much taste, we were able to leave faster. If you hire staff who dont know how to cook, you have to train them, its the minimum level of honesty with customers.

I have always loved small family meals but the last 3 times the service was not at all suitable, the children received their plates and we ate everything but we never got ours. Being told by the waitress that there is no pizza left that I ordered after a good twenty minutes while bringing us our starter... really not great. Too late to turn back. I should have been notified as soon as the order was received in the kitchen. I dont know whats been happening at Normandin restaurants for a few months but its the last time for me.

For English speaking and Acadian people, not a friendly place to have a meal. I deal with Quebecois on a daily basis and never once was told they cant understand me. After the waitress realized my husband could not speak French, she had me repeat a couple of times saying she could not understand when I commented on the food in French. As for the food, this restaurant will be cross off our list for place to eat when traveling in Quebec.

The Bar was closed last Sunday because of a group of 50 people which included children. I had to fall back on the restaurant side. This restaurant should be further enlarged to have a lounge for very large groups.

We have been regulars here for several years. The bar side service at the end of the day has never been so bad. It takes forever to be served a first drink and an eternity to get a second while the person who takes care of us constantly chats with the other employees.

UPDATE: Nothing has changed. The only Normandy where we have to buy 2 plates of fillets in order to have more than 3... Extras impossible. Normandin St-Jean is now one of the worst restaurants on the South Shore, all brands combined. I have been ordering from this Normandin since the branch moved and I have never received such professional service. The receptionist for delivery, one very friendly but unable to complete my order following the changes to the possibility of Extras, and the other very arrogant joining the line saying: well whats the problem again Informed me that the only option available is now 3 chicken fillets, that it is no longer possible to request extra fillets (which were already $3.19 each), and that You will now need to purchase a second complete box. When I ask how much the bill would be I am told and I quote: other restaurants sell them and otherwise cheaper. Wow .. absurd to see the lack of professionalism and respect towards your customers. And remove the Extras to compensate for the increase in costs? Ive always loved Normandin but Im just going to follow your employers advice and order elsewhere from now on.

The barmaid Eliane is very polite and kind. I loved my experience because it immediately put my partner and me at ease. no complaints except perhaps increasing his salary ahahahahha. she does such a great job and always keeps a smile despite the little inconveniences that may occur. everything arrived on time and well done, nothing was missing, it was so perfect just wow!

The service was very slow, the coffee was served to us 15 minutes after our arrival while other tables received it upon their arrival, several tables had the chance to order and even receive their plates even before someone someone come see us.

Discrimination I literally called five hours ago and asked what time they close. And they said 11 PM. So I made arrangements with me and some friends to meet here at 10 o clock. After work. And they would not let us in because they closed at 10 o clock. Even though the hours on the web say 11 PM. And the hours on the door says 11 PM. Absolutely so unprofessional. If you have hours of service at 11 PM. Then you stay open till 11 PM. That s just business. We are all truck drivers. And I just wanted to buy my drivers around and drinks. Because they worked hard all weekend. And the week before. I wanted to show some appreciation. It was a little bit embarrassing to say the least. Between the six of us, and not just me alone, we would ve easily spent $1000 plus at that bar in an hour in just food and beer. I have been to this place before. And we tipped good. We actually tipped really good. Your staff was kind of surprised when they actually saw what happens when they give us good service. They look surprised when you give a $25 tip on $100 bill. Piss poor management judgement call. They had the staff. I could see at least 5 staff there. Just plain effing rude. In addition, to add insult to injury, the staff inside, told two customers leaving, some 20 year old customers, to not let us in and to close the door on our faces when we try to enter when they try to exit. First off. You don t tell customers to do your job. That s how you start a fight outside your premises. Those customers I asked them if they worked there after she force the door closed when I went to grab it and pull it open it after she was exiting, with her boyfriend. I really don t like how French people out here. Treat English speaking people. I think it s ignorant. Fact, I think it s discrimination. And telling a customer to force the door closed. We were all well dressed. Freshly showered. Clean individuals. It was rude. Nothing more. Nothing less. It was just flat out rude. This is not the first time I ve had a bad experience at this place. Nor is it the second time. Or the third time. I don t even understand. I am one of those of customers that, for the most part, I don t really say nothing. I just don t come back. The only reason I came back to this place is because of the Truck Stop next-door. The cardlock. It s a commercial card lock for trucks. It has showers and Driver lounges. Etc. Laundry. Everything. I was actually promoting your restaurant. Obviously won t be happening anymore. All of my drivers, are gentleman. However, at the same time, they don t tolerate disrespect either. Bad service is just plain bad service. Like I said, not my first unpleasant experience at this location. However, I will say this, it will be my last. I can go into the quality of the food and the presentation of it and the value, however, that would just really truly affect the credibility of my complaint. It would just seem childish at this point. Because those three things could be for the most part, very opinionated matters. But then, hey, what would I know. It s not like I live on the road and eat out every single day across this country.

Restaurant to avoid, the incompetence of the employees of this restaurant ensured that my fathers surprise 70th birthday party was destroyed. Despite two calls to confirm the time, the delivery man arrived more than an hour early. After arguing, he left to bring back cold pizza 30 minutes after the initially agreed time. We are always very well served at this Normandin. The atmosphere is pleasant. Its beautiful, its clean and in terms of food quality, thats clearly improved. A family restaurant that I recommend to everyone!

And finally, they charged me the same for my overcooked Spaghetti of which I ate 2 mouthfuls and the waitress told me that if I didnt pay for it, she would have to pay for it out of her own pocket. I didnt come to enjoy the Sports Bar atmosphere, but to have lunch in a friendly place. I was sent to the Sports Bar despite the fact that there were several free spaces on the more convivial side, I went to see it, I didnt like the atmosphere and I was distributed and decided to go and eat elsewhere. If he wanted to balance both sides, they should have thought about it first. If they send those they want to dinner on the other side it will be more appropriate. Im not from the area so I dont plan to come back or stop there when I pass through here so as not to take any chances and drive unnecessarily through the city.
