Had some take out from hear while passing through. The service was friendly, the food was decent and the prices were reasonable. Nothing outstanding one way or another.
Actually disgusting, the worst poutine I've ever had Went there at 9PM and got fries that felt like they were made the day before. The sauce literally tastes like nothing. Hot dog was completely pathetic, tasteless too. For what it's worth, the staff were friendly tho lol

The atmosphere is amazing. It is very cosy, it feels like your in a old restaurant from the early 1990 or 2000. The service was good. Not perfect but it was good. At first i didnt like their poutine because peope kept praising Ashton for having the best poutine. After the second try i cant say i hate it. Its a good poutine but i will not call it the best. It is just good.
The food was downright sub-standard. I asked for steamies and got a toasted hotdog with a weird tasting dog. I couldn’t even eat the whole thing. The hamburger was nothing special. The poutine was disappointing. Pricey and not great.
We always stop here on our way home or to Nova Scotia. It is the best poutine with squeaky cheese, excellent gravy and delicious French fries. We usually get the small / petit as it is a lot.
Poutine, Poutine, Poutine. This is our favorite stop on our way East. For those of you who enjoy fresh cut potatoes, brown or BBQ gravy and curd cheese, yes real curd cheese. Chez Ashton is a direct competitor to Ontario's St-Albert's curd cheese and poutine restaurant. I have traveled both provinces, many times and tried many poutine places but in Ashton fashion that is the best Ashton in Quebec. The place is a "restaurant" so that means some patrons are not "civilized" and because they may be only passing thru those said patrons can be quite "piggy" with the facilities. Rest assured the staff is well versed in cleaning after them and you only need to say it once. Friendly staff will tell you the story of Chez Ashton if you ask them, believe me it's an interesting Battle Story as to who created what and when, and who has the best one. Favorite restaurant when passing thru and so for the past 15 years. Now if it could be exported here in Ottawa...
A little pricey for fast food, but their poutine and hot dogs are great. Fries are not as greasy compared to other "friteries"

Very angry, around 5 p.m. Sunday. I order meatloaf. When I got to my table I saw that there was ketchup, I didnt know that ketchup was in the recipe. I go to the counter and the very nice little waitress tells me, bring it back, we ll change it. The manager comes out from behind cursing and saying in front of customers in front of me and behind me. Hey its a loss for the restaurant, will you come back and ask for meatloaf, she now knows theres ketchup. Hey, Im not a child, Im 69 years old and Im lucid, its normal that I would ask for more. He continued to ramble in front of everyone: I didnt come to ask for charity, I had my money in my hands. LACK OF RESPECT. I TOLD HIM I HAVE MORE HONOR THAN YOU I M PAYING HIM NEW. I return to my seat and I hear him rambling to his staff. If HASTON is not capable of losing $6.00 it is not strong. I wont be shy about talking to people about my humiliating experience that I went through.
It looks like the poutine sauce has changed, its not as good as before here and its weird, exactly the same poutine with the same kind of sauce is better in some of the other Ashtons in Quebec
We went there for dinner and we were very surprised. No errors in our orders (this is rare in fast food restaurants) and there was what was needed for a baby: high chair, bib and even a bayront with activities. The food was good and fresh. Kid-friendliness: Clean high chairs, bib and activity mat.
I had given up on the Ashton restaurants, because over time I had been quite disappointed. My wife convinced me to try again and yummi!!! They have regained their hair!!! Its back on my list of favorite restaurants.
You can never go wrong with an Ashton. There are childrens menus with food for everyone too. Well located and easily parked with a motorhome.
Very disappointing I have always liked Ashton but the last few times I have been there, I have noticed that the quality is decreasing and the costs are increasing. I wanted to treat myself with a plate of roast beef, something I hadnt eaten for several years. The meat was cold and looked more like ham than roast beef, it was not edible. Extra poutine, very expensive for a few pieces of cheese Disappointing fries It wasnt what Ashton had accustomed us to In short, I wont go back there again.
Much too expensive for fast food!
I was a regular customer at Ashton when I wanted a good poutine, but this was the last time and we must mourn the old version. My party poutine was very disappointing: the fries were overcooked and dry as if they were old fries turned over to reheat in oil a second time, the same disappointing result for the extra sausage requested which seemed to have been cooked and recooked now all shriveled and cold to boot. Very disappointed, I am!

hello in the evening I said to myself, go and order me a good poutine, it never happened to me but this evening it made me say that I would come back or that my go and get me a poutine elsewhere next time fried reheat and overcooked and at the time of peyer dont ask if we want salt pepper etc and my pepsi wasnt even filled. It took almost 20 minutes for me to get my order, Im lets say discouraged, I loved it coming in advance, but its the time that makes me say, Im going to try it elsewhere, and I dont even give the invoice and the tablecloth is ordinary.

Can you tell me why there are beautiful cardboard packaging, that it is marked on the recyclable packaging but that we have to throw everything in the trash? Far too many boxes to throw in the trash.

Excellent fries and poutines.
Driving service to be prohibited. As soon as the order was placed on the microphone, there were errors on the order. When I get to the window, I ask to confirm my order, and Im told they made a mistake. They repeat my order, I confirm with them 2 mini fries with sauce, with sauce on the side (so it doesnt end up being a gibelote returned home). Well, they were wrong again. They put the sauce in there, and a real pool of sauce. The fries were limp, cold, and the order must have taken 15 minutes to prepare. To be prohibited. Rarely had an Ashton this bad.

The new BBQ sauce is just a little less drab than the base sauce. Long live Ashton hot sauce!! (Which is not really spicy but good)...
In the TV ad they say Grilled Sausage for the Hot Dog Du Lac. Personally, a grilled sausage is grilled on the plancha with butter cooked with love. My sausage in my Hot Dog Du Lac was cooked in the microwave. Long live the Ashton Roast Beef plate.

Good menu choice. Hamburger, Poutine, galvaude, sauce plate and much more. We always found what we were looking for during our visit. During my several visits, the work team is conscientious and fast. The restaurant is clean as are the toilets. The drive-thru service is quick and efficient.

Its been a while since I last tasted poutine at Ashtons!! Well lets say that it blocked a corner but its far from being breathtaking regular poutine Dulton extra sausages the sauce is much too liquid collects in the bottom of the dish it would have looked like a soup firstly, secondly if thats all the fries that were not cooked honestly I wasnt really impressed!! The impeccable service, fast and when it comes to cost with an average fountain drink over $23 Overall its okay, I liked the new image that the company has taken.
The meatloaf trio no longer exists. Cheese curds almost non-existent in baby poutine, unfortunately the quality/price ratio is no longer there at all.
Exactly what we expect from Ashton! Courteous and fast service, excellent fries still crispy in the poutine, the best hot sauce (not the hottest, but very balanced and delicious!). Happy every time I go back! Thanks Ashton!
Still no Christmas poutine
Chez Ashton is the place to stop for a poutine next to the highway. Always had great fast food and friendly conversations with staff at Chez Ashton.
Since they added the tipping option on the interact machine, the quality of service has skyrocketed. Error after error during my orders, including no extra sausage or no sauce in my poutine. So I dont tip anymore. On the other hand, as soon as you refuse to add an amount to the invoice, the person at the drive-through service is no longer able to take out the machine to hand it to the customer, no longer offers ketchup and no longer wishes the customer a good day. . The tipping option at Ashton is just a disguised way of increasing customers bills backed by social pressure to tip someone who is not providing service. Since the only interaction you have with it is when you order and pay the invoice.

The advantage of Ashtons is that it tastes the same, no matter which franchise you visit. The main disadvantage is the price. Its good, but its way too expensive for what you eat.

Chers et souvent des erreurs sur les formats.. javais demandé 2 minis dont une saucisses et une normal et la saucisses etait moyenne (2 formats au dessus de mini) mais la normal etait bien mini mais pour la saucisse on ma dit que mini cétait ca (moyen) ... ok alors pourquoi le mini de la normal est mini mais le mini de la saucisse est gigantesque?

Stated that it closes at 10 p.m., but makes 3 cars wait 10m before announcing that they close at 9 p.m. Nice way to treat your customers. Major lack of organization.
Pouting expo is a must have for those who love the works. Loaded with cheese curds and gravy this will not disappoint.

The Poutines are excellent if you pay for extra cheese and sauce... But the base price is too crazy to be reasonable... its still potatoes, gravy and cheese all the same.
Ridiculous service. No sense of responsibility and resourcefulness. I order with the mobile app, I stand in line at the drive-thru and it was IMPOSSIBLE to give me my order via the drive-thru. Far too complicated for the level of employees at Ashton. If we order by mobile, it s because we want it to be quick! Not to queue inside. Honestly, this is definitely the most ridiculous branch. Not to mention the extremely stupid service of the bearded man who answered us.
