In terms of service, nothing to complain about: I really enjoyed my experience with the server Philippe. However, the rest disappointed me. The food lacked flavor, especially for the price charged, and as many have already mentioned, the portions were really small for tapas type dishes to share. In terms of atmosphere, I also found the restaurant particularly noisy, which made the experience less pleasant.

Unparalleled culinary experience! A real gem on the south shore!

A real gem hidden in a small street in St-Romuald literally 7 minutes from us. Absolutely everything we had was delicious, from cocktails to dessert. The revisited tartiflette with potato risotto, wild boar bacon, morteau sausage & Origine cheese mousse was absolutely to die for, all served in a setting where everything was carefully chosen to whet our appetite. It was faultless for me this evening and we will be happy to go back and taste everything we werent able to have today!

Beautiful place, charming. Beautiful decor, intimate and inviting. There were 5 of us and we were placed on the 2nd floor, which when we left seemed less noisy than the ground floor. Impeccable service, attentive waiter who knows his menu. Tapas type therefore, you must choose more than one dish to eat alone or to share. Very cute terrace. This will be something to try next summer. Varied dishes, tasty and full of flavors. A great discovery!

Excellent cuisine! Incredible wines at the right price! They are real enthusiasts! It is a Tapas restaurant and as often the result is more of a hybrid between a classic restaurant and a real tapas bar like you find in Spain or elsewhere. I understand, we are less familiar with this approach in Quebec. We still go back often to continue to discover what they are doing. To try!! Parking: I always found room

Magnificent warm and friendly place. The atmosphere is super relaxed but inviting. The food is tasty and sharing dishes is a great idea. We ate 5 dishes in our evening. Their wine list is pretty incredible and the cocktails are delicious! We were on the magnificent terrace with a singer who gave us a very cozy atmosphere. Beautiful terrace, nice little restaurant! The welcome and the service were ok, nothing more. The food is quite good, nice presentation of the plates, but portions much too small (you must have at least 2 dishes per person). Even if the concept is more tapas style to share, it would be interesting to review the portions. Either smaller and really go for tapas or bigger to have real starters to share. All in all we had a great time but we were left with our appetite for price vs quantity $$$ Special mention for the fried chicken which is excellent, less special mention for the focaccia which is a little sad and lacks a vinaigrette to dip it in

Truly a restaurant to discover! You have to come in and taste it! Exquisite tapas, great service and a truly astonishing terrace, just a stones throw from the river and a beautiful park. The food is truly one of the 2-3 best in the region. Parking: You can park for free in the streets all around or in the parking lot opposite.

This is my 4th visit to Théophile as a couple and I must say that I never tire of it! The place is so perfect for a romantic dinner with the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and the covered terrace. The tapas-style menu which changes with the seasons, truly delicious. During this visit my favorite was the deer tataki (available on the summer 2024 menu). Perfect! The best dessert Ive eaten in my life was on the 2023 winter menu: a melt-in-the-mouth strawberry-basil cake. I still dream of it! The service is always great and the wine and cocktail list has local options. See you again on the terrace this summer at Le Théophile!

Although the place is attractive and comfortable, I dont go to the restaurant for these reasons. The portions served are small, devoid of vegetables, unappetizing and of no special taste. The choice of wines is limited and very expensive for the quality obtained. In summary, this is an expensive restaurant and not very worthy of mention. I do not recommend it.

A wow. Its warm, great service, perfect food, thats it.

Disappointing. Although the restaurant is nicely furnished, the atmosphere clearly needs to be revised. Whether its a totally absent welcome, notwithstanding the fact of being asked twice to settle down before a first real welcome; or the lighting really too bright; then the general lack of privacy from noise. Once the welcome was finally made, the service was adequate and polite, good, but nothing more. Came the dishes. According to the nice waiter, two dishes would be enough. False: the portions, despite their cost, are not filling. Too small for the price. Note, between the two main course courses, 80 minutes passed... In short, we chose to finish the birthday dinner in another place. Perhaps, after reading previous reviews and blogs, my expectations were too high. Suggestion: review the welcome, the atmosphere and the portions to increase slightly. THANKS.

I really liked this restaurant. Perfect for lovers. Its a restaurant that encourages sharing plates, which I often do with my partner, but sometimes it bothers her, here we have fun: 4 dishes to share is 4 beautiful taste experiences. In winter the restaurant is a little small but it reminds me of the European restaurants that I am used to, I learned that in summer there is a beautiful terrace, I cant wait to go back there. For me this establishment ticks all the boxes of what I look for in a restaurant outing.

I honestly would have given more 3.5 stars if I could, I was alone at the bar counter and I had to wait more than 30 minutes for my first dish, which was just a simple dish of tomato and ricotta. The waitress suggested that I order one dish at a time after having finished one, I think the kitchens are a little slow to carry out this type of service. Despite everything, the food was good, my favorite dish was the blood sausage, although the portion of blood sausage was disproportionate compared to the puff pastry served with it. My more - tomato and ricotta - black pudding, ultra creamy and served with a good meat gravy - coleslaw served on fried chicken, well done - Pleasant, courteous waiter, but overwhelmed. - Atmosphere and location of the restaurant. - The cocktails were very nice. My minuses - Sweet potato waffle, soft and useless - Fried chicken, blackened and tasted a little too much like oil. - Artichoke puree served with the merguez dish, good idea, but it is served at the bottom of a cast iron pan and left on the stove for a little while, as a result it tastes like old cast iron. The prices are however very fair, I was greedy, 2-3 dishes max per person are enough. Correct experience, but lots of potential!

Starter at the price of a good but not exceptional main course

I really wanted to like it. The place is really cozy, the terrace is beautiful and well appointed. The staff is very friendly. But $19 for 3 slices of tomatoes, I find it exaggerated. The foccacia was dry and didnt taste much, other than the drizzle of olive oil they put on it. The hummus was good, but nothing more, with raw vegetables (it was served without the taro chips). My friends liked their dish (duck, fried chicken) but shared the same opinion that the quality/price ratio was not there.

Its good, but the service is very long and check the invoices carefully. We left the restaurant thinking we had paid everything and we were chased because the bills were reversed... really embarrassing... Im used to going to restaurants like this but Ive never had an experience like this.

Delicious food, but sometimes very small plates (especially the duck dish). I highly recommend the fried chicken and shrimp. We waited a long time for the dishes (1 hour+) despite the empty indoor restaurant. We asked to delay a service since a friend was coming to join us but that hardly explains the 3.5 hours since our arrival that it took to receive the 3rd service.

One of the best restaurants in Lévis. The tapas-style menu is exquisite, and makes you want to try everything. The flavors are subtle and worked. We really fell in love with the terrace, intimate and wonderful, to complete the evening.

Nice restaurant, unfortunately the service was lacking. On the menu, the duck breast was hard-cooked. The beef carpaccio was cooked..... For the $250 invested between two people, we ended up in another restaurant because we were so hungry afterwards.

I was expecting a culinary experience full of flavor. Very disappointed on this side. It wasnt bad but nothing impressive. Beautiful presentation on the other hand and beautiful terrace. The reception wasnt great either.

Quite disappointed with the restaurant 1h30 wait before being served on a Friday evening (the room was not full) Very small dishes for the price (I dont have a big appetite and left hungry) The ingredients written on the menu did not correspond to the dish served. Once the plate was on the table, we noticed that the basil-infused ricotta had been replaced by pieces of Louis dOr (simple sliced cheese from the grocery store). The waiter failed to inform us of this and had to admit it to us when questioned. In short, fortunately the singer was talented to cheer us up and the place was pretty. I wont go back :(

Interesting concept with only starter portions as meals, so you can taste lots of things. A little expensive though. Excellent service and really friendly atmosphere.

Very nice place, warm and the staff are attentive. The dishes we tasted are: Focaccia The beef Chicken thigh The pudding In summary the focaccia was ordinary served with tasteless oil but the other dishes were good. A special mention for the thigh which was an excellent dish. Dishes cost approximately $18 to $22 each. What you need to know, without taking into account the focaccia, is that for a small appetite you will need at least 2 dishes per person. If you eat average you will need at least 3 dishes per person because the portions are small. As for the wine, both white and red the cheapest bottle was $47. We went on a Thursday evening and I cant say if its always like this but the terrace was almost full and the clientele that evening was around 90% young women in their thirties. So it s a place that I recommend but you need to plan the appropriate budget. This is the reason why I gave an overall rating of 4 because the prices seem quite high to me when I take the portions into account. Also, in terms of safety, when you leave there be very careful because there is no sidewalk and you find yourself directly on the street.

The price is still expensive for the small portions but in terms of service and quality of food it is excellent Dietary restrictions: For children it is less recommended

Overall very disappointed with my experience at Théophile. First of all, the setting is rather nice and a change from the chain restaurants. The cuisine itself is not bad but not transcendent either. No dish you order is truly better than what you can make at home. The concept of this restaurant is to offer tapas-style starters . The principle is to order several entries per person. The real problem comes from the portions and/or the price. We took 2 starters each and I had never seen such small portions. I think you would need at least 3/4 dishes per person to be satisfied, which would bring the bill to $90 per person (without taxes, without tips, without drink(s)).

Really disappointing value for money! The food is very good but clearly not at this price for the quantity on the plate it is expensive to pay. At this price, it would have to be high-end cuisine, which is not the case here. The service was average (we had to ask for water, new cutlery, etc.) even if the waitresses were pleasant. In short, at this price, you can find much more gastronomic addresses.

Incredible terrace! Delicious dishes and extraordinary culinary discoveries!

Cute place where you feel at home. Competent and friendly staff. Really beautiful terrace. Disappointment: Tasting Plate at $34 includes, in addition to the 3 good, very simple dishes, a plate of raw vegetables with beet dip. 2 carrot sticks, 2 pieces of cauliflower and 2 pieces of radishes. The price should be higher but offer a star dish on your menu rather than raw vegetables! I had already eaten there in February 2022 and the quality + complexity + originality + presentation of the dishes were significantly better than this summer.

The place is magnificent, both the interior and the backyard. On the other hand, the food much too expensive with the quantity offered. It takes at least 3 plates per person to have enough to eat and at this price, its exaggerated. The welcome was very ordinary, we seemed to be disturbing even though we had a reservation. I was so excited to try it, totally disappointed.

I really wish I liked it because the atmosphere and the service were very good. They offer beautiful products and the menus look delicious, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The dishes were bland and the cocktails were disappointing. For the price you expect a great culinary experience and it was unfortunately not up to par.

Definitely a place to discover! Atmosphere, service and what about the food! There is attention to detail at all levels. I loved my two visits to Théophile and this address is now one of my favorites for sharing a quality meal!

I give 2 and heres why were going to say the negative just as much and Im going to say the positive too. The portions are problematic for the price, I have two restaurants in St-Joseph and the price of the local must be phew, for the same quality of food I either have more on the plate or the price of the The plate runs between 8 to max 12$. I paid for two dishes and a cocktail with tip $74.62 and I was still hungry. There is a lack of transparency on prices on the website. No prices are displayed. For what? Warm, courteous, professional service that knows its products. but not always attentive I had to wait a long time before being able to pay even though the waitress knew we were going to the party upstairs. Sometimes its out of our control, I still give it an 18%. The availability of products, there are 3 products that we wanted to try which had more, on a Tuesday evening. If it was a Saturday or Sunday or after the big party I wouldnt have made a mention. The positive, the cuisine is good, I cant say the opposite and but once again for the price and the quantity an adjustment is necessary, if I had to pay the same amount for the same quantity it would be necessary to have a spectacular caliber that we would find in an original marriage of flavor or an unusual technique so that it becomes a culinary experience . Without hard feelings I will not come back to relive an experience like I had for the price, however if they make changes taking into account the comments, I will give them one last chance.
