Absolutely delicious

The atmosphere was inviting and the staff were very nice. I ordered 2 chicken souvlaki dinner. It came to $30 each. The food had absolutely no seasoning the potatoes were dry, the chicken and rice plain plain plain. I got double chicken so it seemed they gave us less of everything else. It was not souvlaki it was just chicken. The only thing Greek about it was the tzatziki. We will not be returning to expensive for the portion size and quality.

Brought my wife for a birthday dinner, our first time to Olympia and in a word - excellent! The food was SO delicious, the service was outstanding, and the nice easy ambiance was just the evening we were looking for! Highly recommend! Food

Our food was delicious and our server was amazing!

Service was great, atmosphere is good, the food portions are to small, $26 for a chicken souvlaki plate with double skewer, the chicken skewers are small, hardly any rice, enough salad and potato s. I d say a 4 skewers at that size if you re charging 26$.

It was a great dinner, they had a jazz band playing that was real good, thr food tasted good portion size was on the light size, I am used to Greek portion in Greek restaurants so it just may be my preference. The desert was fresh and served warm which is the way I like my baklava. All in all it was a good dinning experience.

The Olympia is one of our favourite places to dine. The staff and service are incredible. We had family from out of town and they commented how the food was the best Greek food theyve had. Highly recommend this place.

Christmas dinner with my husband and his staff was arranged in Olympia it was my first time there it look like a vintage restaurant I liked their paintings and overall look of the restaurant we had vegetarian options and salmon of course as we follow halal options it was yummy fries salad vegetables wrap pita with sauces everything was so good delicious and tasty the service was prompt affordable delicious meals must go and try and enjoy the restaurant you will like it

We were passing through and stumbled upon this beautiful greek restaurant. The staff were friendly, atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Their tzatziki sauce was incredible and food was delicious! Portion sizes were generous and the desserts are scrumptious! Definitely worth stopping in at if staying or passing through Lindsay!

We recently ordered take out for my mother s birthday. Nicki set everything up perfectly, down to having everything boxed up (piping hot) when my dad went to pick it up. My mom has celiac disease, and I could tell Nicki took this very seriously and gave me great suggestions to keep the dinner gluten- free. There was plenty of food (even though I ordered for less people than were there!) and throughout the whole meal my entire family kept raving about how delicious everything was. The kids gobbled up the Dino nuggets! Thanks so much for making my mom s birthday party perfect! It will definitely be an annual tradition!!

Real good the server was beautiful too I was there with my Grandson, Son and my Wife on the 27th of January we asked Anthony Polito where to go he recommended Olympia.

Husband and I went for Valentines dinner last night. The restaurant was busy due to the night so we did have to wait a bit longer for food (but we did expected that). Food was great and service was good. Only thing we were not thrilled on was the amount of ravioli that was served as a portion for the price. It was a $25 dish with only 7 pieces of ravioli. Aside from that the dish itself was delicious.

Dinner was great. Id give 5 stars if the service was faster.

This place is a great escape, lovely atmosphere, mellow music and excellent food and service.

So nice to have lunch in a restaurant that is not part of a worldwide chain! Spacious, heritage building adds to the experience. My rating of 3 for the food is a result of the soup. It was chicken mushroom but consistency, colour and flavour was weird. Not sure what spices were added but I couldnt finish it. The other 3 diners did enjoy their meals.

Food was average and portions where small

This place has become a regular favourite of ours. The anmbience and service is perfect, every server we ve encountered is always attentive and prompt. Also, Olympia is one of the best looking Greek restaurants in the Kawartha lakes area. Falafels are great. If you love a good potato, go for dinner rather than lunch. Only fries are served during lunch, not roasted potatoes. If you can, save room for dessert. The selection is always solid. Tzatziki could use more of a garlic punch but that might just be my personal preference. Vegetarian options: Falafel is made in house. Not sure about other options . Have not tried them.

Great ambiance, great service, great food! Incredibly crispy and fresh sweet potato fries and the peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake were phenomenal. Free refills on the lemonades, WHAT!?? Also the lemonade was a perfect combination of not too sweet and not too bitter, it was perfect for a warm day in May.

Service is fine. Some server is enthusiastic, some just came by to ask without needing the answer. Atmosphere was nice, comfy in seating there to enjoy food. $3 to upgrade to sweet potato fries was totally worth it as its so crispy inside out and sweet. Delicious. Will come back to visit.

We stopped in for dinner and we were seated on the patio which was nice. The restaurant is very well decorated and feels very European for sure. The service was slow and we ordered an appetizer which was forgot about. The food was decent portions and the fries were prepared and seasoned perfectly. Fantastic food, cute location, kind and accommodating staff. The foods a little slow but worth waiting for. The building has a lot of character and charm. Parking: Limited street parking Kid-friendliness: While kids are welcome, I would probably choose to come here on a date night or with adult friends. There was no issue, its just not the type of place that has crayons and booths. We werent offered a booster seat, but didnt ask for one either.

Extremely small portion sizes- way too expensive for what is provided. Compared to restaurants in Torontos Greektown neighborhood, it was way underwhelming. Servers were kind, though the food took 25 mins to come. We finished in 5 minutes due to the super small portion size and we were still hungry afterwards.

The Olympia is a fantastic Greek restaurant. They offer a huge selection of authentic Greek food. I have tasted many things on the menu and there has never been a disappointment. They have a great wine selection and full service bar to make you anything your heart desires. The service is amazing and all the staff are warm and welcoming and have great personalities. From the initial phone call for a last minute , post storm reservation the staff were absolutely fantastic! The bartender was quite busy but had time to say hi and that she would be right with us. She served our drinks with a smile. The drinks were perfect! Next to our table, Daniel our waitress was also very busy but greeted us with a warm hello and gave us a reasonable amount of time to make our choices. The food was amazing. Dessert was a hard choice (everything looked so good). We were not disappointed! Thank you Olympia for making our anniversary dinner perfect!

Tasty Greek food in Lindsay with friendly staff. A great option for lunch or dinner. The chicken souvlaki is fantastic, but my particular favourites are the fresh falafels and dolmades.

Always a pleasure, authentic Greek cuisine and excellent service, plus Nicki and Costa are wonderful hosts, and actually there, and care so much about their customers!

Delicious food however the prices are expensive for the quantity of food served. I called ahead to book a reservation for a friends bday for seating on their patio, when we arrived we were placed at a table inside. We were disappointed not to enjoy our dinner in this beautiful weather outside on the patio.

I needed to update my review after my fiance and I hosted our family and friends for our rehearsal dinner tonight at Olympia. From the planning to the actual event tonight, they were amazing. Our meal tonight was exemplary. Our server was top notch. They made a very special even better. I am forever grateful and please consider them when you are planning you own events!

I really love Greek Food. I enjoy my meal here every time. But, I find with the Olympia , the chicken skewer portion needs to be a little bigger, and the potatoes needs to be proper roasted potatoes especially for a Greek Restaurant. I will be back.

Had a lovely business lunch on the Olympia patio. We all enjoyed the vegetarian options, I LOVE their falafel, they are homemade perfection.

I went to Olympia last night and I quite enjoy the food the food is always wonderful however something has drastically changed and Im assuming it is because of the inflation but I ordered lamb souvlaki and it honestly looked like one piece of lamb was cut up into five tinier pieces that were delicately placed on my tiny pile of rice and it resembled five pieces of dog treats on my plate. It was so laughable the tiny amount of food they put on for the lamb. Basically my dinner consisted of one regular size piece of lamb a couple potatoes a little bit of rice and some soggy salad. I am extremely disappointed and will not be going back anytime soon at least until inflation subsides and they actually serve up proper portions.

I ordered take out and when I arrived the staff were extremely friendly. The food was delicious but the portion size was disappointing for a Greek restaurant especially for the cost of a platter. Greek restaurants in Toronto give you more for the price. I was embarrassed because I was bringing food to my in laws and it wasn t enough. I wish I knew this to order more.

Olympia has always been a great food guarantee....so the disappointment was a surprise. We were a group of 9 having dinner before seeing a concert. So to start with drinks, understanding that this a Greek style restaurant, the wine list was very limited, I wanted a simple glass of pinot grigio, the best they had to offer was a pinot grigio STYLE wine...it was ok. Im not sure why the wine list is so limited. My friends wanted beer, and again the selection was limited, one of my friends did order a red wine and said it was great. We ordered appetizers, calamari and saganaki. The calamari were breaded and fried so we expected a nice crispy crunch...they were returned to the kitchen, they were floppy, soggy, lacking seasoning. The saganaki was ok, the pita served with it was over toasted making it dry, the cheese was dredged in too much flour, giving it an almost battered coating. For the main course I ordered chicken souvlaki, potatoes and greek salad. The meal offered also rice but I opted out on the rice. There is a one or two skewer size meal, having previously eaten here I knew one skewer would be plenty, or so I thought. My plate arrived with four loonie sized pieces of chicken, not on a skewer, which is no big deal, but the portion of meat was a shocker! Each piece was about half inch cube. There was no seasoning, no herby greek flavour, nothing, just 4 nuggets of chicken. The potatoes were cut in wedges, no seasoning, no Greek potato flavour, just bland wedges of blah. The salad had one tiny quarter of a slice if cucumber. It was dressed with a blah dressing. Basically the plate reminded me of what I may expect at a hospital cafeteria. Some friends had the same meal, others had schnitzel, odd for a Greek place...which was decent but they commented on the blah flavour as well. We ordered a couple of dessert items, the pumpkin cheese cake, which was very good, not sure if it is made in house, and baklava which was too over loaded with cinnamon to the point that you couldnt taste the nut filling and it actually kind of was unpleasantly spicey, not sure if it is made in house or not. Im not sure what has changed to cause the lack luster food. It has always been one of my fav spots for a long time, and a sure fire place for amazing food so this experience has been a big disappointment. My dinner was 50 dollars, plus tip, not cheap, not outrageous...but not worth it. There is huge history with this restaurant I hope they sort things out and restore the quality.

Visited for a dinner with colleagues and had an amazing time! Our server Lauren was friendly, energetic and helpful. She went above and beyond to give us an amazing experience and a few laughs as well. The food was delicious but even if it werent, we would have gone back for Lauren.

Haveing grown up in Greektown in Toronto I was hoping for a great meal and we were not disappointed. Every dish was on point. Thanks for a great evening. We will be back again.

Stopped for lunch in Lindsay on a cycling trip and stumbled across this place. Nice and airy location with the front open and a small patio as well. We had the falafel pita with Greek fries and a Greek chicken wrap - both were delicious. Service friendly and fast.

Had chicken slouvaki plater. Was good except for the so called roasted potatoes. They were more like old potatoes wedges.

Just, recently they don t do takeout - At All - which is depressing because they re the only place in town who does calamari souvlaki, and we have a baby, so there s no easier way for us to enjoy Olympias great food without takeout. 1 star until they get takeout going again.

One of the best Greek restaurants I have ever been. Food was great. Portions are generously sized and fairly priced. Nice spacious interior with historical elements in the decor, paired with lounge music in the background creates a warm and upscale atmosphere. Patio is also very nice. Our server Natalie was very professional and friendly. She went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. I will definitely visit Olympia Restaurant again.

Best Chicken Souvlaki - great service!

Wonderful dinner at Olympia! Great way to celebrate my birthday. Gyro platter and the dip platter were wonderful, and i celebrated with a Negroni. Service was impeccible. Every employee seemed to genuinely care about the customers in the restaurant and everyone was greeted with such warmth.

Great staff, great location, great food. A Lindsay institution. Not worth a trip back home without getting something from the Olympia. Is it the most authentic greek food experience? Perhaps not. Is it delicious, a great environment, and one of the best spots in downtown Lindsay? Absolutely.

The falafel dinner is absolutely to die for. I personally dont like rice so I get potatoes and extra salad. Yumm

What a wonderful restaurant ! They fit us in on a busy Saturday, let us dry our gear near the fire, and served delicious food, with a nice espresso to finish ! The waitress was top notch, and very friendly.
