My Son and I Were Out Shopping.Decided to try out the new place.I have Celiak disease.Gluten Server Didnt know what we were talking about.Looks like absolutely nothing on the menu.for dietary restrictions.We left went to another place where at least had a couple of options.Come on you can get a few options.Not Sure We will be Back.Well I Wont

Place does not perform well when busy.. unorganized servers.. will be choosing to go else where.

Dominique was SUPER EFFICIENT. She checked in a good amount without being too much. She could answer every question, and checked all the boxes. We ll come back . Even though we were forced to watch basketball on 100 screens instead of Hockey. Not even on one. Please teach your staff how to work the remote control. They tried and were not able.

40min wait for a chucks burger

The service was great, the space is clean and inviting and the food was delicious. The price is very reasonable as well. We enjoyed our stop in for lunch and plan to be back for dinner.

The filet mignon was good but there was not a choice for vegetables. Without healthy vegetable choices as a side I will not be back.

I had called the day after opening day and made a reservation for my 4 year old sons birthday knowing it would be busy I made the reservation two weeks early his birthday was this past Tuesday and opening day was about two weeks before. Well I call the day of his birthday to confirm our arrival for 630 and am greeted by a lady who is clearly not in customer service and tells me ya we dont do reservations Im like well I called about two and a half weeks ago and was told the opposite she responded with well have only been open for two weeks so finally after some arguing she says she will be right back again this entire time with a bad attitude. She comes back suddenly super nice and says the owner told her yes they booked this reservation and they will see me at 630. Fast forward I show up with my party of 7 and my 4 year old son and Im told from the girl at the front door they dont do reservations after another interaction she goes and checks and comes back with oh yes your table is ready so Im happy Im like great but then she replies with but its being used so at this point I am dumbfounded by the entire situation. I ask how long and they tell me they dont know. Finally she comes out and is offering for us to sit outside ( where no one else is sitting because its cold) I ask how long would food be if we sit out there and she laughs and says (I dont know)....... We left and did not look back. I have gone to the owners port Perry location many times and was a big fan of it coming to out town and even promoted it whenever I could as I work in a very forward facing customer based job and a big fan of the owners but after this experience I cant say I will ever return or recommend someone visiting it was a very bad experience especially for a excited 4 year olds birthday.

Visited Chuck for the first time, the food was definitely good! My server Aafreen got everything correct, she was very friendly and excellent in what she does. Would definitely come here again!

We were here yesterday, passing through the area looking for a quick bite. We have eaten at the Chucks in Port Perry before, but our experience here was SO much better thanks to our amazing server Amanda. She was lovely and a lot of fun. Good service makes all the difference, and if we are in the area again would definitely come back just for her. Thanks Amanda!! Keep smiling!

My husband and I went there tonight and the server was really attentive kind and nice however the food wasnt great or even good. When it was time to pay our bill we had another waitress and we told her about our meal and how we were very disappointed on the quality, she simply said oh I apologize it s probably because they were so busy and that s why quality wasn t as good I was absolutely stunned and flabbergasted I just walked away shaking my head highly do not recommend.

Read entire review!!! My fiancé and I went out for dinner tonight at the Lindsay location- We waited over 20 minutes to have our drink order taken or be spoken to. I went up to Dominique & she apologized. She also went above and beyond, letting us know that our appetizer, pops & meals were covered tonight. Our waitress (I didn t get her name) also went above and beyond to check in on us to see how we were doing. (Dominique did as well). We appreciate the staff at this restaurant so incredibly much and want to thank them! We also love the owner! Over the last 3 years, we have went to the Port Perry or Peterborough location quite literally over 60 times (If you can t tell, this is our favourite restaurant). Definitely recommend dining here!! So heres the deal with Chucks, read this whole review. If you like quick and dirty food, this is the franchise for you! Its cheap as hell (for a reason) even with the 3% surcharge that doesnt go to staff but the corporation. Theyre originally Canadian which youd think is cool, and the tea is that their parent company owns their own beef production company (youd think this would mean quality beef), but in reality its absolutely sub par, mostly frozen food cooked by chefs who couldnt season a steak if their life depended on it. Ive been 3 times and Ive sat at the bar rail and high top bar seats, bar rail the first two times (one just drinks another drinks and apps) for the following reason... Corporate policy is that servers DONT TIP THE BARTENDER OUT. Despite them making ALL the drinks, so I wanted to make sure Christie got the money she earned. They also tip an obscene amount out to the kitchen, but not the bar. With regards to the food, Ive done apps which were like, OK, and tonight I tried the peppercorn steak (youd think, this would be well seasoned given what youre ordering), the menu states it comes with the signature sauce and goat cheese (ok cool love goat cheese and sauce), but its legit the worst butchered cut of beef I have ever had in my life and its smothered in sauce. I did order it blue, and the cook on it was perfect, but it was far from delicious. The ironic part was my friend got the fish and chips and somehow her fries were cold as hell. A blue steak takes all of 3 minutes to cook so these fries were not at all fresh. I did try the wings at another visit, which are delivered frozen and pre-breadded, theyre huge and crispy. Christie really is great, so is Nicole and Dominique (who has not served me but Ive watched her run the floor, she is clearly from corporate or another long standing franchise because she knows her stuff and the flow), theyre trying with what they have to work with, but weird steps of service like asking to take ketchup and vinegar away from the table before youre done? and a Tom Collins with a salted rim (?!), (I dont even know what to say about that) was a little baffling. The place is new, everyone wants to check it out so yeah, its busy and theres additional challenges that go along with that. The new team is doing their best, while also using the worst POS system in the industry (so dont get mad about the bill splitting issues, its legit the worst program). Overall, if I want the cheapest beer in town after work, sure Ill go up there but thats about it.

Loud, chaotic and disorganized . Went to pick up my order- first person didn t don t know what to do and sent me to the bar for it. Salad was missing dressing Onion rings were dried out Fish batter tasted like the onion batter Flat bread bruschetta was rather tasteless, and drenched in aioli It makes a Do Not Repeat list

I took my mum and my two kids (5&6) for dinner tonight (Oct. 29th/24). My mum and I had tbones. Kids had cheeseburgers (awesome). Our tbones, we ordered med-rare and they came out perfect. The highlight of our evening though was our server Dominique. What an absolute treat to be served by someone with so much joy and happiness. She needs a raise :)

Went on Thursday last week to the Lindsay restaurant and had a really good meal. Atmosphere was quite friendly. It was busy and seems very popular. Came again on Friday for a drink at the bar and Christie behind the bar was very friendly and quick at preparing our order . First class. Thanks you Vegetarian options: I m not vegetarian but there were a number of options. Parking: Ample parking eventhough they were very busy

Dominique was our server. She was so attentive that we actually asked her i she came from head office to train the new staff. She was so knowledgeable and sweet. I was there after my Wednesday night girls golf night and I will definitely be returning with family.

A generic atmosphere, rude staff, cold and stale food AND HIDDEN FEES!!!! 2 of our group are Celiac. Upon asking the server as we sat down if there was any gluten free options, she immediately retorted we don t do that here. In a harsh tone. As we tried to work our way through the menus( in which not everyone got one) to see what was available for those with dietary restrictions, the server kept asking if we were ready yet. It was in no way friendly or enthusiastic. We could tell she was getting annoyed by the slight delay in reading out the options and seeing what was available to our group. Once we had ordered, and received our plates (steak/filet mignon and lobster). The corn was cold, and the fries were stale and cold. You could tell they had been sitting out for a while. We brought it up to the server and she turned away. A completely different person brought over 3 fresh plates of fries. We barely saw our original server until she showed up near the end of dessert to ask us do you want your bill yet or . And just stood there holding the bill. As someone who has worked in restaurants and covered both the back and the front of the house this type of service is truly appalling! The bigger shocker is that they throw a 3% hidden fee onto your bill and get extremely defensive when you ask about it. It has the basic atmosphere of all the franchise locations, it truly has nothing going for it to wow and encourage repeating customers.

The server we had tonight was very abrupt. We asked if there were options for people that have Gluten Intolerance and her reply was No. When our food arrived we were given stale cold fries. My ribs and chicken were only room temperature. We had to ask for hot fries. A different server brought us our hot fries. For a new restaurant in town I was very disappointed. I had really been looking forward to trying Chuck s Roadhouse as it was my husband s birthday. Prior to going in tonight I had tried calling and it took 34 attempts before I was able to get through. When I spoke to someone and asked if they would take a reservation I was abruptly told No we don t do reservations and they hung up. Not sure how soon I will return. Dietary restrictions: There was not a real selection for those that have Gluten Intolerance and Dairy Intolerance.

Visited at 4pm today for an early dinner. Waited 30 minutes to be seated. Hostess told us upon entering that she couldnt tell us how long the wait would be as they wouldnt tell her. The restaurant was only at about 40% capacity so this was clearly a staffing issue. Once seated, our order was taken in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered a chicken/rib combo and 2 Smokehouse burgers. As someone who has eaten at several Chucks locations and eaten the Smokehouse burger on many of them, my review will be honest. Our food was cold, clearly having sat too long as my side of gravy had a skin on it. The burgers were over cooked and the onion ring on the burger (compared to other locations) was a joke. We had to ask 2 different people for aioli for sweet potato fries which they charged extra for and were given way too much. Asked 2 different people for wet naps only to receive them dry in the package. As someone who worked in hospitality for 20 years I could see exactly what was going on. Clearly the staff were not trained for peak service. There was more than enough wait staff for the size of the room but nobody seemed to know what anybody else was doing. Not once did anyone who appeared to be management appear. As a newly operational location of a large chain, there should have been management staff present in both the front and back end. I blame this large failure on lack of corporate to make sure this location was ready and lack of support for a newly opened franchise. This location will never succeed until these poor employees are properly trained :(

We ate at the Lindsay location on a busy Saturday evening. We had a short wait as it was quite busy being the new restaurant in town. I was impressed by the atmosphere it seems to be bright, friendly, and suitable for all ages. Our server was wonderful (Cassie) from promptly taking our order bring drinks and checking in on us to make sure we had all we needed. We ordered surf and turf and I liked that they checked to make sure it was cooked to satification. My only constructive criticism would be to serve real mashed potatoes. Thank you for a great experience and a wonderful addition to Lindsay.

4 of us went out to Chucks at Lindsay s new location and don t think we ll be returning again. The hockey game was on and they had the volume up so loud we had to yell across the table to talk to each other. The Buffalo chicken sandwich is literally just a chicken burger with Bbq sauce on it, nothing spicy or hot about it no buffalo anywhere and it was not good at all, fries were bland and not good. Caesar salad tasted off like the dressing was bad. The deep fried pickles were good and the Montreal smoked meat sandwich as well but that s about it. Then you get your bill and there s an extra 3% charge called An Honest To Goodness fee. We asked the owner about it who told us that apparently it s charged to keep the prices down so instead of showing you the real prices they just try to quietly charge you extra on your bill!! Not very honest to me!! Complete rip off. Do yourself a favour and stick with Boston Pizza or Kelsey s!

First time visit for a group of seniors. Good menu choices. Generous portions. The chicken was barbequed, not off a deli roll. We appreciated that there was no loud music which is a major turnoff for those with hearing issues. Very attentive service by Cassie. We will be back.

I was so disappointed to have the honey garlic chicken wings they were thick with batter overcooked and dry I can honestly say the worst I have ever had, the baked potato was cold the server took it back.

Either inexperienced wait staff, or too much stress. Ordered soup and a burger. Got my soup in 4 minutes but no sign of the burger even after 50 minutes of waiting. A total of 2 hours later, I was reading my book when the manager came and asked me to leave. I told them I was waiting for my burger to which they said you didnt order one. They showed me the tab which said I just ordered a soup. Server forgot to put in my burger. I told them not to worry about the burger as I was already pissed off and knew it would take another absurd amount of time to bring it out. The food however is really good here, but I will try to avoid this place in weekends as it gets pretty hectic

Mid afternoon meal on Saturday. Place was busy but we were seated immediately and our server was fantastic. Porterhouse and buffalo chicken was excellent. Took cheesecake to go for dessert.

Monique was a lovely personable server who took care of my husband & I. He was really happy with his ribs serving. I enjoyed their surf & turf. Reasonably priced for a Sundau meal. Highly recommend this establishment.

Management is already failing this location. Step up your customer service game. FOH could use a refresher already. Inattentive and miserable environment. Staff can only be as good as they are directed.

Currently in the restaurant. Ordered food, 1/2 my parry was served their food and then another party was served theirs while the other 1/2 of our party (who was here and ordered 1st) got theirs. The busboy server was dropping food at out table without asking who ordered it, we had kids menus and were served adult food without asking. And waitress had to ask after the favt if my kids were actually kids. They fixed after the fact, but not cool. Not coming back.

We had a great experience during the first couple of days of the Lindsay location opening. The service was spot on, the food was tasty and came really quick. All of this AND it was packed! Highly recommend for a fun night out.

Chucks Roadhouse in Lindsay was exceptional.The service was top shelf & our 14oz T-Bone was prepared as order, very full favoured .The atmosphere & environment was an enjoyable dining experience .Roadhouse style. Amber our server was awesome following up to ensure we had everything & satisfied with our meal .we will definitely return to Chucks Roadhouse Lindsay.

We waited 50+ min for our food and it was mediocre. I don t see where the hype is about and what about the 3% tax why don t you just increase the price instead of breaking down. Our serve was lost she had no idea on what she was doing. Overall experience was poor. I am not ready to go back to this location anytime soon. But will give a try in the future!

Took my mother in law (93 yrs old) , she ordered soup but requested a roll or bun with it. The waitress said if she wanted a roll she had to order the garlic rolls app, no compromise. ( Should have taken her to Kelseys, they always go the extra mile)The food was mediocre at best. When the bill came, there was an extra 3% added on, then taxed on top of that 3%! This extra gouging should be disclosed before we order. The waitress told me the 3% was to ensure the restaurant can order the best quality food, is this not assumed by the customer that we get the best quality food without this extra 3% gouge?

I ordered the fillet mignon medium rare but received it well done.I sent it back and the second one was almost raw. The server was very good but still learning and the owner was very receptive to the feedback. Unfortunately this is the third Chucks Ive been to thats been disappointing and hesitant to return.

Went here a couple of times, the food was ok, it s a 7 out of 10 in my opinion. It s a nice looking restaurant, what I did not like is how they made me wait 15 to get a table when so many tables were available (just not the correct sides). While I waited to be seated the waitress and kitchen staff took up a table where I could have been sitting and paying for my meal. The wait staff gossips to much and stands around for too long. I hope the owner reads this and addresses his staff, on a night where he had 13 waitress 9 work will the rest stand around or sit an an empty table and chat/Gossip

I recently dined at Chuck Roadhouse in Lindsay with three adult friends and 2 kids, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We adults ordered the a New York Steak, priced at $21.99, along with one Chicken Parmesan for $15.99 and another a snack sandwich for the kids, which initially seemed like a great deal. However, our waitress, Sushm- - - (name of the server according to the bill), didnt communicate well about the additional costs associated with the sides. She loaded our plates including the kids with mushrooms and onions sides without informing us that these would incur extra fees. We assumed the fries were included as part of the meal, but it turned out they were considered loaded and came with an additional charge. When we received our bill, it totaled $240 before tips, which was a significant jump from what we expected. To make matters worse, we discovered a 3% honest to goodness fee added to the bill without any prior notice. While I understand that upselling is part of a waitress s training and that a few bucks here and there won t make us poor nor will it make them rich, it would have been nice to have transparency regarding the costs of the add-ons. The food itself was decent, but the lack of clear communication and the unexpected charges really left a sour taste. overall, I still wish nothing but well for this location and the owner. We will certainly still be back, but I hope they can improve in this area to enhance the dining experience for future guests.

Was a pleasant experience, good waitress. Little disorganized. Lobster tail was missed on one of our orders, but wasnt too long of a wait. Maybe could have compt us a dessert for the mistake.
