I came here because of the local beers ,I had the first Response Amber Ale and it was good the staff was nice and educated about their beers I did not eat but the food smelled amazing Service

Very nice building and restaurant. I tried their house beers and they are excellent. It was a beautiful day so we could sit outside. Our watress was excellent, funny, fast and efficient. The pizzas were very good, as was the grilled rubben sandwich. I found the fish taco just okay, well prepared but so so pico de gallo and cabbage.

It was a great place to have a meeting. Yummy pizza.

A charming place with wonderful food. We had the Hawaiian pizza, and the addition of pulled pork was just a fantastic idea! Loved the pickle chips too! They were the biggest pickle slices I ve ever seen!

We had a lovely late lunch today at Pie Eyed Monk, poutine, nachos and local beer, amazing food, wonderful staff, beautiful environment and atmosphere, reasonable prices and we even got some tips for places of interest in Lindsay since we were visiting the area for the first time. A huge thank you to Erastus and all of the staff at Pie Eyed Monk Brewery for everything that they did to make our wedding so special this past Saturday. Our guests loved our choice in venue and loved the food, atmosphere, ceremony, and service. We couldnt have made a better choice in where to have our ceremony and reception. Leading up to the day, Erastus was extremely supportive, communicative, collaborative, and patient with us -- the planning was a breeze because of him. He and his staff really did capture everything that we d hoped that they would. Hands down the most perfect venue! Thank you!

Stopped for lunch here after a bike ride and tried their chicken fingers and one of their craft beers brewed on site. The food was underwhelming but the lager was light and refreshing. Location is just off the Main Street, which provides for a little quieter experience. Parking in this section of Lindsay is a challenge depending on when you re there. I still plan on going back since one visit is not enough to form a strong enough opinion.

Beautiful location/decor, the service was bar none the friendliest, fastest and highest quality Ive seen in ages and the food was stupendous! Highly recommend the mushroom & spinach ravioli, shrimp & chorizo spaghetti and the curry along with their in house made beers! Fantastic!!

Lovely little spot in Lindsay! Really enjoyed our patio seat, and the chairs were really comfy. I liked the height of them! I had the pulled pork sandwich and my dad had the fish tacos and we loved every bite. Service was great. Just overall a really great atmosphere! I m sure they do a hoppin business come mid summer.

This establishment is phenomenal. We didnt even look at the menu. We each had a flight of beers. The space let the conversation flow. We got the recommendation to check out the Coach and Horse, so we did. But the next day we had to go back. After a walk, we brought the dogs to the patio and I finally got to try the food. Mussels and Fries, they were excellent. Absolutely top notch. I highly recommend checking this brewery out. I would definitely go back. Again and again.

First day opening for the season. First time checking them out. Had lunch with my dad and enjoyed their house Reuben, oh my lord. Do try!!! Atmosphere is homey and inviting when quiet early afternoon brunch time. Parking: There is free 4 hour parking behind the restaurant. Gets confusing through since you think its for the funeral home, but thats a different area further left to the 4 hour parking area.

Popped in to purchase some craft beers, and decided to sample the creme brule and the amber ale. The amber ale and the Lock 33 (pictured) are both fine craft beers. Service at the bar was exceptional. Thank you

This restaurant has an awesome outdoor patio during the spring and summer. Plus fantastic gluten free options for their burgers and pizzas!

Closes at 9pm on the busiest holiday of the summer. They must really hate money. Was looking for a place to unwind after long day in the sun with a beer, and they failed to read the market.

This is a great pub resturant, a little disappointed they have a summer menu and some of their smoked options are gone

We had a lovely pizza and caeser salad. Our waitress Melissa was very pleasant and helpful as it was our first time here. The atmosphere was relaxing and not noisy like some restaurants. Just a good night overall and we will be coming back again. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free food

Our first visit to Pie Eyed Monk was to celebrate mom s (grandma/great grandma) 89th birthday. We all felt the entire experience was top notch. Food, service and atmosphere was fantastic . Highly recommend. The only thing that we noticed is that there was an option on the website to make reservations but no actual button/option to save those reservations once you selected a date so we had to call and do it over the phone. If it doesn t work perhaps they should remove that online option from their website.

My son and daughter in law to be met with Erastus today. They were overwhelmed with how knowledgeable he was. They felt like he truly had thought of everything!

Been here many times and we never leave disappointed. I love the casual adult vibe and the food is really good. All of it. Some of the regular servers have left but the new ones are great too

Im a local resident who has tried many restaurants in the area and this is the gem. AMAZING food omg. I got the Brisket sandwitch and my girlfriend got the Ruben. Both were made so good. Prices are a little lower than the average fresh food restaurant, and the portions are very large. Just try the pickle chips, you will be hooked! Such a nice atmosphere to eat comfort foods. The staff wernt just taking my order, they really seem to proud of the business. They were great. I cant wait to show my family this place.

The place is amazing, the food is so good, we had carrot squash soup on a cold winter Saturday and it was simple great, exactly what we need it! And of course, the beer is the best, can t wait to go back!

Was there for the first time tonight with my family and I was very pleasantly surprised. The menu is nice and varied, the staff is warm and inviting and the building is a pretty cool space. My chicken parm was cooked to perfection.

This is our go-to spot in Lindsay. Great service, good food. We were there on a Saturday night and the service and kitchen teams were rocking. Good check-in, fast order taking and delivery, empty dishes taken away pronto. Only tiny complaint is that the first floor bathroom seemed to have two cold water taps. Not sure whether this is slow heat on demand or saving money but seems an odd fit for a nice restaurant. Otherwise 5/5. Parking: Good parking options. Around the corner from the cinema.

A beautiful old building converted into a micro brewery, the staff are very prompt and friendly. The food is all made fresh in house daily and reasonably priced. Definitely worth stopping in for a meal. I was there for dinner with a friend.

Had a late lunch here yesterday, our server, food, and atmosphere were fantastic. We had some craft beers, pickle chips (massive order!), mushroom ravioli, and a pepperoni pizza. Food came out hot, and every item was awesome. I also got some craft beer cans to take home. Hats off to the kitchen staff (Mark and Lawrence?), great job! Our server was Alyssa, cannot say enough good things about her, awesome service and very friendly! We will definitely be back soon! Cheers!

We went just before the New Years Eve rush. Our first time there and will definitely go back. The service was great, the food was excellent. Loved it!

This was my second time coming there, it was New Years Eve thus time, and I was beyond happy. I ordered the one pasta dish with the olives and etc, I also didnt want to be that customer that wants this changed and this added and etc, but I had asked instead of spaghetti sauce I wanted Alfredo. I was informed they only had that for the kids pasta but because they werent busy our amazing waitress spoke to the kitchen staff and they switched it for me. I have to say it was absolutely delicious and I am so happy I did. Im more happy that the staff were so accommodating, I felt guilty though lol. Also the pickle chips and dip . I will 100% be back soon and will be recommending Pie Eyed Monk to anyone I speak to.

My husband and I recently got married at the Pie Eyed Monk, and as both a restaurant and a wedding venue I cannot possibly say enough good things. The food and service are both great, and the building itself is lovely - the old bring building has been well maintained. But as a wedding venue - TOP NOTCH. Erastus, the general manager, was so helpful throughout the entire process including the day of. He worked with us and our budget, and the day was incredible - food was amazing, venue was lovely, as were the staff. Can t recommend it enough for those looking to get married in a cool space, with good food, and without breaking the bank.

Excellent local Brew House and Eatery. My wife had The Greek Salad with Chicken, and I heard it had The Best Dressing ever. I tried the Brisket & Mushroom Wood Fired Pizza, and it was Epic. Lots of Gluten Free Options as well. Well be back for sure.

The Ambiance in the Brewery was good. The price of the food was fair and the quality was okay. I tried out their stout, and it was pretty good. They have a variety of beers for you to choose from. I would suggest trying out the flight if youre not sure what youre going to like. The food was okay but not spectacular. I tried the pizza which is pretty decent. This wouldnt be my go-to suggestion for food in Lindsay, but if youre looking for a good beer its a nice place to check out. Update 2022-01-15 4 stars I went back for dinner with the family. They have updated their menu since I last time I was there. . I had the Panatesca which was a good vegetarian dish with penne pasta, tomato sauce, olives and capers. The ambience is still great. Our server was very attentive and courteous. Will definitely return for one of their wood fired pizzas.

We ordered a brisket and pulled port sandwiched with onion rings. The fries were cold, the onion rings were all batter and no onion.

My friend and I came tonight for dinner. It was pretty busy when we arrived but were able to get a table. The servers were great, but unfortunately after an hour of waiting we had only received our drinks. The waitress was lovely and apologized numerous times for the wait. Eventually after an hour we got our app and she said the cost was covered by her; although it was cold. Another 20mins went by and still no dinner. We ended up leaving due to this because waiting over an hour and 20mins is ridiculous. There was an event upstairs and food was being served upstairs and downstairs in the dining room. Again, the staff were incredible and this is NOT a reflection on the waitresses service. I really was looking forward to my dinner, but unfortunately left hungry. For the future, in my opinion, do not have the dining room open if food is being served upstairs.. it really took away from everyone s experience. Hopefully if I ever return, it will be a better experience.

Very disappointed by the behaviour of the manager who made a snap judgement of my husband and I when we asked valid questions about available items. He asked us to leave and was unwilling to discuss any type of solution. We aren t unreasonable people, we deserved a genuine conversation. I followed up with email and was told there s no apology for us being treated so poorly.

Manager offered full menu items to others at an event - full menu had been advertised but was not offered to all at the event. When we asked why others were allowed to get what they wanted and we weren t the manager smugly replied that the others were his friends. Manager has repeatedly lied about us and stated we were rude to him when we truly weren t. Love supporting local but the food here is nothing to write home about and this treatment wasn t worth it. Don t waste your time or money - there s much better options.

I went here after work with some friends for drinks and appetizers. Amazing atmosphere. Servers are all super nice and attentive. One of the best restaurants in Lindsay if you want some where that s actually well kept and has a great menu with a wood fire pizza oven. Also you can hear yourself talk whereas a lot of the other places in town have extensive menus but the food is subpar and you have to yell across the table because you can t hear each other.

Had a delicious lunch at Pink Eyed Monk! Their BBQ Brisket Wood-Fired Oven Pizza was so good!! The brisket literally melts in your mouth and the pizza is fresh!!! We had a birthday party at Pie Eyed Monk in February. Erastus and his team were absolutely amazing in the planning process and the execution of the party. We rented the 2nd floor party room and it was beautiful, and the perfect space. We chose pizza, charcuterie, and pulled pork sliders - everything was perfect & everyone loved the food. We highly recommend having your event at Pie Eyed Monk.

Just amazing! The food and the beer at the restaurant are always great but I have to rave about the wedding venue. Erastus and all the staff were so amazing on the big day and leading up to it. They were so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The CL Baker room transformed into our exact vision, the food was great and we couldnt be happier with the service!

First time here and none of us will be back. To take 24 mins to get a drink during lunch is inexcusable. A sample of beer and a caesar. 24 minutes. There were two waitresses and no bartender- the staff were lovely- and literally running around to make people happy. They could not keep up no matter how much they tried. I asked for a manager- none available. How does a brewery not have someone behind a bar on a busy Friday?! This is a management/ owner issue. My heart feels bad for your staff and potential patrons. Having been in business for 22 years- this is entirely preventable and manageable from owners who care.

If you are looking for a beautiful space for your wedding look no further! We fell in love with the beautiful backdrop of the white brick, black arched windows and the black ceilings! So much that it became our wedding colour palette! The five star review doesn t just stop at the aesthetics! From the initial meeting to the day of the wedding Erastus and his team ensured that not only did they understand our vision but they made it come to reality! They were so open to making sure that every little detail was exactly what we envisioned. From the decor, to the menu to the specialty drinks everything was perfect! We did add on the day of coordination and transportation which we highly recommend! Whatever you are looking for they work hard to accommodate your requests! The kitchen team not only made a delicious dinner but went above to accommodate allergies and vegetarian guests. Our vegetarian guests said that it was the best meal at a wedding that they ever had! Service was over the top and they always checked in with us to ensure everything was perfect! The extra spaces were the perfect backdrop for our inside pictures. Our wedding was the most amazing day and this space was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception. Highly recommend the Pie Eyed Monk and the team to make your big day the best day ever!

We had lunch there today. Our first time there. We made a reservation because I wanted to be sure to get a table. We were greeted right away and seated at our table. The waitress (Eden) was very friendly and quick to take our order. I had the Greek salad to start and the seared pork chop. Both were fantastic. Beyond delicious. Best Greek salad Ive ever had. Will definitely be returning!

Rude server, was not impressed with her attitude from the start, pizza was burnt and she complained about her tip not impressed 1st time with bad service. Other waitresses have been excellent and very nice except this time.

This restaurant & Brewery is located in a quaint old heritage stone building. Nicely decorated inside with an enjoyable ambiance. We were hopeful to have a nice dining experience considering the reviews. However, i m not sure if the cook that night was having a bad night or if it wasn t the usual cook. The chicken in the Caesar wrap was so dry, it took several sips of water with each bite. I ordered the regular burger & again the meat was very dry & the Brioche bun was too big & somewhat stale that it was actually difficult to eat or enjoy. The red pieces in the burger were the hard ends & unpleasant. The Margarita, wood stove pizza we ordered was presented barely cooked & had to be one of the worst we had ever ordered. The waitress was very nice & was still given the acceptable tip. We will not be returning. Parking: There is parking on site.

My first visit! Wont be our last. We enjoyed dinner on the outdoor patio, with great beer and food. Worth the visit.

But as a business person, I think you should first explain to the customer the situation and seek their understanding before saying you are disgusting for insinuating. ** I was waiting to be seated for more than 5 mins. Theres no one waiting except us and not many people inside the restaurant and outside the patio before dinner hour. 3 waitresses and 1, seems manager were working but not even glimpsed at us. While I was waiting, one Asian lady brought a menu to the bar and asked to order, but the waiter said,If you order food, you can wait more than 45 mins. What a service!! Even if they have great reviews and probably serve nice food, I do not recommend this place, especially for colored people.

Food was alright but very expensive. Also halfway through my drink a fly flew into my cup. I didnt want another which they offered but I did not want a second drink so I said if ok can you take that one off my bill? I got told by the waitress that it wasnt in there when she brought it so no. Why offer a new one then? Was I gonna have to pay for it? I spoke to a male manager or supervisor which took it off the bill but tbh I dont think he cared or actually acknowledged me. More worried about getting me out of his face. Not a good experience.

My friend and I ate here today for the first time. The ambiance was perfect, nice patio, live music. I ordered pizza and an American Pale Ale both were outstanding. Aaron came by and introduced himself and told us a little about the beers. I had a great time and I will definitely be back.

Upon arrival our table was not ready, and they had failed to set up another table prior to arrival despite the reservation (we had requested a round table, but they said we d be too squished we disagreed but they d already given it away ). Our waitress was alright, but seemed irritated/rushed wasn t patient with us whatsoever and dulled our experience. The gentleman who was working (seemed like a manager) was very friendly! The drinks were good. Would definitely recommend the spicy margarita & other signature cocktails, and the beers were cold. Food was alright. Wings were undercooked and the Hawaiian pizza would be better without the pulled pork, or if it had a sweet sauce to help with the dry/plain pork.

Cool spot with a good menu and the potential to be really good but missed the mark. Part of the issue was slow service due to obviously being understaffed. Even so all 4 of us received our food not as warm as it should have been. Melted cheese no longer melted isnt all that appetizing. Having a view of the kitchen it didnt seem that the food was sitting waiting for pick up that long so not sure where the delay and cooling happened. Really good beer though!

Waitress chatted with friends and other staff. We could see our food in the kitchen window 10 minutes before served. So was luke warm. The chicken parmesan was left in oven too long so outer edges dried and slight burned taste. Only good dish was the pizza 2 people split which wasnt enough as waitress had said we would gave lots kept over. When ordering drinks, was not told flights of beer were available, so had single glass of beer that we did not enjoy.

Hands down THE BEST restaurant in the kawarthas... the food is absolutely incredible, they know how to season food properly!! Every bit was impeccable ! The service was astounding! And the atmosphere....reminds me of England pubs !!! I would highly recommend this place!!! I havent had food that good in years!!

Worst dining experience Ive had in a long time. Food took forever to arrive, when it did it was very bad, we both got sick from it. The waitstaff kept apologising even they knew how bad it was. Save yourself easy somewhere else

We were excited when this place opened. as it is owned and operated by local people . After some growing pains this place is really nice now. I would love to see a steak on the menu. We love going here for dinner though . Highly recommend it

First time being at this venue and I djq a wedding what a beautiful place. Very rustic and modern at the same time. Very friendly staff and good food. The staff is patient with everyone and the beer is very yummy. I recommend this place to anybody who lives in Lindsey as another spot to stop by and have a bite to eat Or drink.

Loved the experience. It was my brothers induction into Hall of Fame, Claus Andersen, his pictures defy logic!!! Gorgeous!!!

The food is excellent!!

Food was great, the customer service is amazing and top notch!! My gf and I went for the Halloween haunted house event after our delicious dinner, and wow was it an incredible experience. I was rushing to finish it because it was intense as soon as I walked in and the first jump scare happened all the way to the end! Much much better than the haunted house wonderland does! Overall I m glad we decided to go celebrate my gf s birthday there, the staff is also extremely friendly and it seems they have a healthy fun environment going which is great! My server and the lady at the desk of the haunted house were amazing people, I would also like compliments the people who cooked our food and the great staff that were part of the haunted house, everyone did an amazing job! My gf and I were smiling all the way home from the experience! I would 100% recommend this place :) L

First time here and we will be back. Gorgeous resteraunt and atmosphere, food is well priced, tastes great and good portions sizes. Get the pickle chips they were a step above and then some.

This was my first time in Lindsay, and I decided to have a late lunch. The Pie Eyed Monk is located in a beautiful old building. We were greeted by a very friendly host/sever. The lunch was delicious, and the in-house beer was great. Well recommended. Food

Great visit to the Pie Eyed Monk. The service was fantastic. The food was good. I had the chicken carbonara. I found it to be a bit creamy for my tastes but otherwise it was very tasty and the portions were generous. The beer was really nice. I had the amber ale.

This place has really turned it around, I went here when they first open and wasn t overly impressed, but I went back and gave it another chance recently more than once over the past year, and have been very impressed. It has quickly become one of my favourite places to dine out at here in Lindsay, service was awesome, food quality and presentation excellent They ve been really consistent every time I ve gone, good job turning it around. Dietary restrictions: A friend of mine is gluten-free dairy free, and there were plenty of options

We held our Revel Realty Christmas Office Lunch and it was amazing. They accommodated over 18 people on main level, food was exceptional, service is so amazing and pleasant. The atmosphere is very cool and cozy vibe for Lindsay. You must check it out.
