Worst food we have ever been served. You could tell everything was pushed out of a bag or the microwave. Staff were extremely slow and the food came out cold. Not even chef Mike worked today. Dessert was good. 👍
Awesome service when we grabbed dinner here on a Friday afternoon. Literally had our food inside five minutes of ordering it was incredible! Needed to ask for some extra sauces / utensils and the waitress was excellent. Cup of coffee I had was great too. Washrooms were clean, restaurant properly staffed. Great experience all around.
Take out - I waited over one hour for two quarter dinner meals. The counter staff a young man called me up and said choose two free pie on the house. Although it was a nice gesture, I would have rather had my food in a much more reasonable time frame. As well, I paid for extra dipping sauce and questioned the bag when I was called up as it felt like two flat boxes. The young lady opened the bag and I was correct. At this point the young man said the extra sauce was in one of the boxes! So I took it and left- drove to Bobcaygeon only to find I paid for something I did not get. ( this is the third time same thing had occured) last time I tried calling for over half an hour and no one picked up the phone. I suggest in future you pour another dip and err on the customers side! I would appreciate the managers reply to me by email… as another thing was said by two people I would like to discuss.
Just had a great meal at the Lindsay, Ontario Swiss Chalet. Our server was AMANDA who took great care of my wife and I. It was a busy time with a lot of tables full, so we had to be patient but the wait was worth it! This is not the first time we have been to this restaurant and I remember Amanda looked after serving us on a previous occasion .. . We waited 1 hour and half for our meals. 2 other tables that arrived after us were served before us. The hostess that was on this evening seemed very angry and put out. She did not make any conversation other than asking how many in our party. We were all told that restaurant was short staffed which is totally understandable but it would have more considerate if the hostess had informed the customers about what’s going on and that there may be a lengthly wait so the customer could decide whether to stay or go. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and kind which made the rest of experience tolerable. We also noticed that most of the chairs were worn and had rips on the seats
Service was very slow. It took 15 mins to get drinks after ordering them. 20 mins to get food. Ordered a second drink, never received it. Took over 5 mins for the tab. They asked if we had a scene card we said no. When the receipt printed, it printed with someone's scene card number on it. I questioned who's scene card was that? She said she didn't know how that happened. We asked to see the manager and was told she would be out in a bit as she is busy. We went to the bar area to wait. Someone come out from the back with a kitchen apron and hair net. Not like any 'manager' I had ever met in a restaurant. Requested the scene reciept. I will be getting a hold of the scene office to advise of this scam.
Wow, I didn't realize how low this locations rating is as I think it could get a point higher. I have ordered here once in person and more through Door Dash. The staff is nice and my food when I do order has been good. On this order I ordered the eight piece wings dinner with Sweet Thai Chili. As you can see in the picture although dark but, the wings are crispy. My complaint I feel is I don't like how dark their fries can be. I prefer my fries golden if that makes sense and I think they over fry their fries but, others may love it that way. As far as presentation of the food I do like that now the food is boxed with Delivery by Door Dash. I feel that at most restaurant locations the fries have the same look to them which I would think means people like their fries this way but I don't! Other than that the chicken is on point
This is a difficult review to write because of how polarizing my experiences with this location have been. When my family and I sat in at the restaurant, it was a lovely experience. Our server was helpful and attentive, all of the staff we interacted with were kind and welcoming. The location is renovated, modern, and clean. I'm looking forward to coming back. But unfortunately, when we order take out it's a completely different story. We often get incorrect orders, missing items, and the most recent time, we were told to come back in 45 minutes, for two quarter chicken dinner meals for take out. Based on my experiences, I would recommend eating in at this location, rather than taking out.
Pickup order was ready. Not like dining in at the Lindsay location where you wait 1.5 hours for your food to come to the table.
The food was TERRIBLE!! The chicken down to the bone were pink and the ribs was extremely dry plastered with BBQ sauce. The fries were dry. Everything looked terrible and unappatizing. I asked for a cooked chicken and then was served a partially burnt chicken that was really small and dry. The food was luke warm like it was sitting all day and then reheated in a microwave. The server was busy flirting with her colleague and never came back to check in on us. I wouldnt recommend going here at all. I dont understand how the kitchen could look at that food and send it out. We ended up going to get food else where. Total wasted of time and money.
Don t try ordering for delivery. I keep giving them chances but today was the last straw. Ordered 2 meals at 4:55. Delivery estimated at 5:50. At 6:35, I phoned the restaurant to find out where the order was. They said just leaving with the order now . It finally arrived and the fries were COLD. The chicken was luke warm. I m done!
I must say all 4 of us were very disappointed in our meal, 3 of us had the festive 1/4 chicken and fries meal the fries were barely luke warm and the chicken was tiny and dried out, not once did our server come over and ask how our meals were which is not very good. I doubt very much if well ever go to anymore Swiss Chalets total waste of money in my opinion!
Cold chicken, not warm cold. No dressing on salad. No butter for rolls. No lemon water for clean up so people went to the washroom to wash hands.Washroom very dirty and toilet was disgusting. Ive eaten gere for years had my girlfriend and her son with me. Going down hill.

Absolutly terrible, waited for 50 minutes for a 20 minute order, then when I got the order it was missing the cutlery, the mayo I ordered, the water I ordered and napkins. And on top of all of that neither me nor any other customers, who had to come back in to complain about missing items in their orders, one missing halve thier order, got an apology for the mistakes made, none of us did. TL:DR, do not order take out from this Swiss Chalet
Waited more than 30 mins and left. When we asked around 30 mins to waitress when will we get our order, she said- I dont know! And sounded rude. Please learn some good skills how to treat customers! This is not the right way to run a restaurant.

Contrary to many recent reviews, customer service was AMAZING! We went during peak dinner hours so it was quite busy in a small area. Our server was Sharon, and I must say it was the best service I have had in a really long time. Quick, efficient, pleasant, attentive.. I could go on and on about her exceptional service. The app won t allow zero stars for service. We ve been to this restaurant numerous times but this will be the last. The waitress was NOT pleasant at all; huffed audibly when we asked about using our CAA card, and didn t smile even once.. Our food took an hour to come to the table; she didn t ever bring me a drink. The food was o recoiled, and after being there for 2 hours we had to take our dessert to go. I m not sure if they re under new management or wtf has happened but I won t spend money to deal with poor service, poor food, and an hour wait to get food without a glass of water to wash it down.

Food was good, service o.k. The server and hostess didnt acknowledge that it was my sons birthday dinner. I took my son and his best friend out for dinner. I told both server & hostess and did nothing. Not sure why but, was disappointed with that. Just wanted the clap and song would of been nice.

Right off the bat, our reservations were canceled even though we were earlier than the time we reserved for. Plus, the food was roast beef sandwich was only warm and the veggies were cold, the baked potato was the only thing that was hot. Service was also incredibly slow.

Drinks and appetizer -received promptly. Our food delivery took 1 whole hour. The two tables beside us who arrived 30 minutes after us received their dinners promptly- I lost it! Another couple walked out after an hour and the manager chased them saying their order was ready. Not once did the manager come out direction- she avoided us at all costs. A good manager would have spoken to us instead of our waitress apologizing profusely. The regional manager and head office needs to go in and revamp the whole place. Dinner and drinks were on the house. Dessert was finally offered but we said we had somewhere else to be. Those local Lindsay people we visited also said to not waste your time. The absolute worst Swiss chalet I ve ever been in!!!

I am a single person who often gets Swiss Chalet to take home. I always have a 1/4 dinner with white meat. More often than not the chicken looks dry and is dry. The wing often being inedible due to being burnt or just over cooked. I started thinking that the chef sees an order for one and serves the oldest piece of chicken he can find just to get rid of it. Chicken that would usually be set aside for sandwiches. I know because I used to work at Swiss Chalet in Toronto. Today upon ordering I told the lady taking orders about my recent experiences and asked if she could please ask the chef to please give me a nice piece of chicken. Upon arriving home, looking forward to my meal and open the box. Sure enough I got a dry overcooked piece of chicken with an unedible wing. I wont be back as today was the last straw. Shame on you Lindsay Swiss Chalet!!!1
Been going to swiss in Lindsay for yrs and I must say the place is turning into an absolute joke . Just got my order paid for buns on both orders didn t get any got a double leg dinner got 1 leg . It sad that they can t even do proper orders anymore . Best of luck Swiss Lindsay you ll be out of business in no time
Been here many times over the years, & after a recent poor experience (which understandably happens in any industry from time to time) the manager/supervisor dealt with the situation in an outstanding manner. Took ownership & made things right. Thank you!
The older staff there are very clicky and sadly.do everything they can to make it impossible for new staff to be successful. Hopefully they are immortal because I have been witness to 2 good servers and hard workers be pushed out with no communication. A very sad and toxic work environment...and I was just a customer that had to be witness to this on more than one occasion. When I dine I like to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere which you wont find at this restaurant. If I am.craving Swiss Chalet I will.be heading to a different location.
Food is good was shocked at how quick the service was I felt that I ordered ahead as it seemed like I ordered and the food arrived seconds later
Ordered online, they delivered half the food without the sides. The pot pie looked like they threw it into the container as hard as they could as the contents were all over the box. No side or bun was given with the pot pie. Called the number to get the rest of the food sent and was basically told no because it would take 90 minutes to get the store to do so. Overall, really bad service. I dont normally leave negative reviews but this one is warranted. Dont trust their online delivery service.
The Lindsay location is a complete disaster. 80-90% of every delivery order is wrong or missing something. Ive never really seen anything like it. Tonight was the last straw. They forgot 2 of 3 three fries. Called customer service and was told they would come out with the next driver. It took them almost 50 minutes to get there. Its unacceptable to mess up and then make someone wait almost an hour for two fries. I tried talking to someone at the store. Called directly or was transferred from customer service at least 6-7 times and nobody ever picked up and was then transferred back to customer service, who couldnt help. It was a nightmare. Then told them I wanted a full refund and was told that had to be done directly though the store, but how can I do that if no one there can answer a phone? When it happens constantly, its not just a mistake. Its an issue that needs to be addressed but its clear no one cares at all. This restaurant deserves zero stars. One feels much too generous. Parking: Its a parking lot. With lines and everything.
I feel I was ripped off with a fee that was not disclosed when I ordered. I volunteering offered a 10% drive fee and discovered that an additional $4.00 was added on. The delivery person said everyone us charging extra fees now just go check out the pizza places, etc. The delivery person was the store manager and, I found out, the owners son. Ho figure. This is really at the art of it all...grab what you can, when you can. I live in Lindsay but my next Swiss Chalet dining will be elsewhere. Buyers Beware!!!

I told the call center my address and at back door twice, the driver calls says he will be here in under a min so I wait at the back for like 10 minutes, the driver called again said if I wasnt coming out he had to leave, I said are you at the back he said no he wasnt going to the back I cancelled the order I wont order from Swiss Chalet Again

Horrendous. What happened to your quality standards? The chicken was so small it could have been a dove, the ribs were dry and could have passed for jerky. The mashed potatoes were slopped into a cardboard tray Last time, reputation lost.
From ordering online to pick up was terrible. Ordered at 7:45 , was to be ready by 8:05. Arriving at 8:05 was told my order was being packaged. Had to interrupt someone to find out where my order was at 8:25. Food was warm to cold and fries were so dried out. They checked everything was in bag-they checked for meals packaged - still no dipping sauce! Worst meal/service to date!
Dont order online for pickup unless you are interested in going on a wild goose chase. Walked in and stood at the front desk for 5 minutes before someone came in from outside and told us to pick it up from the Harveys side. By the time our food got to us we had been in the restaurant for 20 minutes for something thats supposed to be quick and easy. Swiss chalet, you need to tell people who are picking up that they need to get it from the Harveys side. Waste of my time for food that isnt even that good

I drive from Haliburton to Lindsay at least once a month and I m always happy to stop in for lunch at Swiss Chalet. The servers are friendly and the food is great. There are so many different menu selections that you can always try something new. Yum!
Every time my Grandmother and I go to Swiss Chalet, it is always a great experience. The wait time for a table is practically zero, the waitresses are punctual and polite, and the food is delicious. Look forward to dining again <3

Vegetarian options: Need more Food
Horrible experience. Ordered from Toronto around 3pm for a 6:05pm pickup as we were visiting Lindsay to see grandparents both in their late 80s. My wife and I along with our 2 kids one being only 2 years old arrived 10 min early at 5:55pm. I didn t leave till 6:36pm. Any place I ve been too in the city if you order for a specific time it s usually ready a little bit before the pick up time. My wife said let s order from Toronto then at least we have it but would have been cold, I guess I should have listened. Sad I grew up in Lindsay and always had a good experience at the old location. I know places get busy but this was pre ordered 3 hours early. And of course I tipped before all this happened. 112 dollar order 122 with tip.

Arrived at takeout last Saturday at 6:00 p.m. to learn they werent taking any more orders for at least 90 mins, so I went elsewhere. Yesterday I thought to be wiser and called my $71.00 order in at 4:20 for 6:00 p.m. pickup. Didnt receive my order till nearly 6:30 p.m., and at least 6 other customers there experiencing similar delays in spite of calling ahead with adequate notice. Food was fine, but this location clearly isnt staffed well enough to support their demand, and are visibly disorganized, not interested in giving them any more business. Will pick up near my work in Pickering and reheat at home after my 90 minute drive home, if I ever bother with Swiss Chalet again.
I am sharing this because the service at all levels of Swiss Chalet on 2023-01-26 was very disappointing to say the least. Ordered online and was given a time when food would be ready, but actually took another 20 minutes to complete. Why give a time if the store cannot meet it? Even worse was the in-store service. The takeout counter was very busy, but the cashier working there was mostly on her own with only occasional support. Staff were bringing orders out and putting them in warmers, but no one was communicating that to the cashier who was busy with clients. For some reason the cashier did not check the warmers until customers suggested she should. Finally another employee came to help out but she just handed me my food and did not apologize for the wait. Not good customer service! As a further suggestion, you should take down the Next time call ahead sign; I did that and it did not work well at all as described above (its a bit insulting too). Hope you get back to the service I have experienced in the past.
Food very late
Quick and hot but no acknowledgment of our heap of untouched fries until I said they were disappointing when we were offered a to go box for them. No quality check of our meals and not even an opportunity to make eye contact before we had finished our chicken and were ready to leave. We wont be back and even more disappointing prior to this visit we truly believed this was one of the best locations. A waste of $50( yup you read that right, 2 1/4 chicken white with one cup of soup and 2 pops)
If originally gave 1 STAR... at $25.00 for the Winter Special, soup and coffee and it was worth 25 cents... the chicken must have been a mercy killing.... it was tiny... I was taking it to a patient at the local hospital... if it was not for that.. i would have taken it back.... I have changed my review from a 1 star to 3 star after a very appreciative call from the owner... who is having a difficult time with suppliers and some staff as supplies change. I believe they are trying very hard to offer a good product in these difficult times... I will keep you informed as to their progress.. Ted
We were travelling for a snowcross race and stopped to pick up take out from the drivethrough. The lady asked us to pull to the side and wait for it to be ready. She brought us out a bag and we left. When we got to our hotel we realized we were missing all the salads and such. We called and they said to come back and grab it and they would throw in some free stuff. We got multiple free drinks which was a bonus. We didnt realize we were supposed to wait for the second bag to come out. The guy on the phone was super apologetic. Overall good experience.

If you go to Lindsay to take your license plate test today , remember to go and have a meal at this shop. It s a good place to eat and the service attitude is good. I don t think their waiters are old. They take good care of me. The waiters Lancy said, she has a good memory, but it was only a short time. The spring rolls are so crispy and hot! A Ribs burger, very delicious! You can add a Gravy Source to the childrens meal, and you cant lose with the fried chicken pizza. I wish everyone a pass!

Went through the drive through and waited over 20 mins for a milk shake. The girl told us we could order swiss chalet through the drive thru but would have to come in to get it then gave it to us in the drive thru anyways
Very dissapointed in the food I had a quarter chicken the fries were absolutely horrible a pile of very thin chips did not eat maybe 10 of them the chicken was dry and small, the only thing good was the green beans I payed extra for. The other three people were also dissapointed two had stir fry could not even cut the broccoli so hard the terriaki sauce was to strong. For the price you pay very dissapointed.
The place was freezing, I was so cold was very uncomfortable.our salade, (although was a side) came the same time as our food. Our food was cool, fries were cold, gravey on our sandwiches, was cool enough for it to stiffen up.. My husbands mashed potatoes were not real, and were gluey and cold. Very disappointed in this restaurant Used to be good. Now not so much.
We had to wait to get a seat and once seated it took quite awhile to have our order taken. We ordered the chicken stir fry and the chicken Caesar. Again it took awhile to arrive. The stir fry was over sweet and very salty. When we mentioned that when we asked for the bill her response was well you ate it. Given the time it took to get our food we didn t feel we had any other option. An apology would have been nice. We weren t asking for a free meal.
The chicken fingers were okay. However the fries were ice cold. Waitress rarely came around. And briefly apologized for it though offered nothing in way of anything besides that. It was quiet however. When we went to leave one waitress stopped us saying our food would be up soon. This was a try again time dont think I will be going back again. Dietary restrictions: Not accomidating unless you have standard food allergy.
Place has been going downhill the last few months. Ordered donuts, and they came rock hard and almost black.
I have been trying to do an on-line or a call in delivery order for several months. It says they are closed and there is no way to put through an order. I do not have a car and cannot drive to pick this up. This is very frustrating!!! I did not get and order and was told I had to go the restaurant.
Im absolutely sorry to write this review as Swiss Chalet has long been a family favorite of ours. We are regular customers to this location but the past two dinners have been a major disappointment. The last two times we have ate here we have ordered delivery. Both times the meals have been missing items and arrived either earlier then requested or delivered to our neighbours house. The most recent meal we were notified that the meal had been delivered but we didnt get any delivery. We called customer service to enquire but they couldnt even call through to the restaurant to find any answers. The meal was re-ordered but was put with a RUSH for our inconvenience. 40 minutes later the Rushed meal arrived. Unfortunately the meal was missing items and when I called customer service I was offered a minimal credit that had a time limit. When I wasnt happy with that I was directed to the restaurant who would not answer the phone. Overall not a pleasant experience and it appears that the service at this location is going down.

We usually order dinner via the app but the app was not functioning properly (couldnt order a rib dinner online only chicken and ribs) My husband went to our location in Lindsay directly. The wait time was over 40 minutes.While there he referred a vocal disagreement between an angry customer and a new hire. The girl was sadly being attacked by an older gentleman. Why was she not shadowed by someone to help her? As usual, our order was wrong. Extra fries and sauce. Why is quality control not performed in the kitchen before the order is passed either to the delivery driver or customer. Makes it scary to order food for takeout because we pay premium prices and do not receive what we paid for.
Visited last evening, and the experience was so bad. My so called quarter chicken was about the size of a child portion. The baked potato obviously had been sitting for hours; it was hard and cold. But the worst was when we FINALLY received our bill. We were being charged for another customers meals along with our own. When this was brought to the attention of our server, she brushed it off and said shed be right back with the correct bill. Fine. So when she presented the bill and the debit machine, the machine was showing the double charge total! Thankfully I was paying attention and called the server over yet again. She again brushed it off and said shed fix it.be right back..again! We said nevermind that wed pay cash. Ive had more than one bad experience at this location, but last nights was the clincher. I will not, under any circumstances, visit the Lindsay location again. Ever! I should have sent my meal back, but finding our server would have taken way too long. Im angry mostly with myself for allowing this fiasco to happen, but, its a lesson learned, albeit the hard way.
I ordered online for curbside service. I checked in at 5:10pm for a 5:15pm order. I was sent a text to wait in my car and await instructions. After waiting 25 mins. I went in, only to find they didnt read the receipt that clearly said curbside! Dont you just love stone cold potatoes? Dude behind the counter needs to work on his reading and his English! Well 2nd time we were sat was very cold yet again, Asked to be moved, and was told no by the lady that seats you. We were just going to leave, when the waitress said let me see if I can help. There is something seriously wrong with this location. Will not be returning ever. Attempted to complete an online order early Sunday evening only to find out the location was closed, yet the attached Harveys was open. Decided to order Monday night. Looking forward to our first Festive specials of the year. Order the family feast online early for a later pick up. Picked up the order and came home only to find out that we received 1 out of 4 cranberry sauces and 1 out of 4 chocolates. Was not about to drive back for these items. 85% of the time when we order take out something is missing. This was the last time.
Saturday Night Epic Failure 4 of us went to have dinner. We got our drinks, after 45 mins the manager tells us their facility is too small and they can t serve us in a timely fashion. When we asked why seat us if you can serve us, she had no answer other than what she already told us. There were people sitting longer than us still waiting for their meals also. Only to find out they served all skipped the dishes and take out first. We got up and left. Upon leaving the building their were folks waiting for apx 30 mins. The worst service ever, do folks a favour and close your doors!!

I ve had some decent experiences in the past, but lately it s been nothing good to report. The couple times I ve dined in they have one server on the floor and the place can get quite busy. It took an hour for our food to finally be brought out. The server was doing her best, but management really needs to figure that situation out - one person can t reasonably manage 20 tables. I ve also noticed that they don t let you order ahead sometimes, pressumably when it gets busy. Not many restaurants face the challenge of too much business, but that seems to be the case here.
For small town very understandable for the service. While reading the menu it took a while for a drink order to be placed. But we probably gave a little scare to the waitress for a group of 30 that walked in at once. Food was great. We are all from Toronto/Mississauga!
Never again will I order takeout from this restaurant. When I brought the food home for the 4 dinners I ordered , we discovered that there were only 3 orders in the bag. When I went back to the restaurant to get the missing food I was told that it was not possible that an order was missing. When I finally convinced them that an order was missing they did get it ready quickly. But - when I got back home I found that mothers order - a dark meat chicken dinner did not have the thigh/leg meat rather it had only a chunk of meat - not really recognizable. So again back to the restaurant and again I was told from the same manager that I was wrong. Really!!! Why would I waste time to complain about a piece of meat! This is not the first time my order has been messed up - in fact it has happened 2 times before. Given that its my opinion that this restaurant needs to close and rehire a complete new management team.
I had a poor experience, and management has contacted me and will work on education with the staff to ensure they can pass along a simple cup of water, and will send me remuneration for the chicken salad with the very dry chicken. It was a busy Saturday evening at this place.
Pre-order two Quarter Chicken Dinners for pick up. I was told 15 mins, once at the restaurant i waited over an hour. Unbelievable. I could have caught a chicken, cooked it and ate it faster than this location could
Order for take out 1/4 chicken with half ribs last thursday hubby only ate his ribs and saved his chicken i ate my chicken with a few ribs didnt get my chalet sauce but long story short we were sick for days to come throwing up and it coming faster out the other end so loss a customer here as I now hear this has happened to others too
Tried to order online about a month ago. The website wasnt working properly so finally gave up and called the order in only to be told wed have to wait 1.5+hours. This was unacceptable so we ordered elsewhere. We decided to give Swiss Chalet, Lindsay another try tonight. The website worked well tonight. I place the order just after 5 p.m. for a 6 p.m. pick up. Arrived a few minutes before 6 to be told that the order was just coming out. Waited 15 minutes more to finally get our order. The order was barely warm. Very disappointed in the service so it will be a long time before ordering again.
Chicken was completely dry and bitter because it was so burnt, fries were dried out and terrible too-wont be going back, really disappointing dinner for everyone.
Good problem resolution. This location has been pretty consistent with the quality of the food, at least in our experience. Our last visit was take out, ordered online. When we opened up the bags at home an item was missing, we ordered 2 soups and received only one. No problem, I called the corporate line and was told they could only apply a credit to the account and it was only good for 90 days .that isn t good enough. I was instructed to call the restaurant directly for a refund to my card. So I did, once I got the manager on the phone, not only was he compassionate toward the situation he was extremely polite and professional. We discussed the issue, and he explained how he was going to work with with the staff on the importance of taking a little extra time to ensure an order is complete before going out. His explanation was thorough, and gave me a sense that he is a very well rounded manager. I received the refund as promised and overall the experience was great. Not every experience will be perfect, but good problem resolution is important.
Worse Swiss Chalet I have ever been to.. They seem to take precedence with drive-through over being in the restaurant. I have been to this restaurant a number of times and been told there was no seats available simply because drive-through was too busy. The hostess was rude and did not care that customers had come to the restaurant in person. On mothers days last year I ordered on line and was told my order would ready 5.30. I finally got my food at 7.PM. CERTAINLY NOT RECOMMENDING THIS ACE

This review is more for a specific employee. The food is good though. We had THE BEST waitress!! A lovely gal named Kestin. Although we did have a small problem with overcooked chicken, it had a shell instead of skin lol. BUT Kestin took care of us and made it right. She is very friendly and efficient at her job. Swiss Chalet in Lindsay should never let her go, infact she may even need a raise! Thanks Kestin! We will be back!
I ordered delivery yesterday and my fries and extra sauce were missing. We all make mistakes, I get it my problem is when I called in the lady was so rude. She put me on hold for 10 mins to confirm they didn t pack my fries she offer replace but this point my meal is cold I wanted to eat it together and the fries I was sharing with a kid who wouldn t eat my wrap so now I have a hungry kid and a rude lady. She sent me out the fries and extra one but I can t re heat fries I asked for a credit she offer $2 . It took 50 mins to bring me my fries . Just seem extremely poor customer service. I learn my listen. PS the wraps r also snack size now, what happen?!?
We were dinning in at the Lindsay location and our server was absolutely sweet! But there was another server who was very rude to the one man working who had a disability she constantly put him down infront of customers he looked like he was going to cry! Then her and her daughter who works there Aswell were talking rudely about this poor guy! I hope this does not happen to him again or anyone else!
Take-out, even with call ahead ordering is a long wait. Need dedicated pick-up or head of the line for advance orders. I could have gone in and ordered for a hotter meal. That said, still a good meal instead of cooking myself

Forgot part of our meal, by the time I got home out of town I wasn t going to drive 20 minutes back for it. Pieces of chicken were very small and grizzly. My boyfriend spit it back on the plate. Very disappointing. Usually really love it here but I guess it really went downhill.

Me and my daughter came here for dinner and let s say it was less then satisfying. The chicken was so pink RAW !!! As soon as we got home we were fighting for the washroom. Would never go back to that location.

Very slow service on chalet side!!! Missing sauce in 1 dinner and the order of extra fries that were on the receipt were not in the bag.
Dont bother wasting your time with the app trying to pre place an order. They are just going to make you wait 15 minutes when you arrive so they can make it. Save yourself the frustration of using the app and just order when you get there.
My wife ordered our meals on line and I picked it up, got home and my meal was missing the fries and her meal was missing her coleslaw. Wasn t going to drive back into town so she called the head office and all they offered was $5 credit, not enough for the inconvenience in our opinion, head office went to transfer-her to the store manager and she got cut off so we ended up with nothing, no food, no credit. Not the first time something was missing, it will be a long time before we order from there again.
The food was subpar, however when I was there My waitress Keri was the nicest server ive ever had. She was polite and personable and unlike the other staff, she looked happy to be there.
Take-out on a Friday evening was not the best experience. I went to pick up my take-out, at the proper time 5:25pm. About 8 people ahead of me, some waiting for their orders, were quoted 25 minutes. I waited 20 minutes in total, for a pick-up. Got it home, no sour cream, and the stuffing was overly salty, and was nothing like the commercial on tv. This was a doughy, salty, blob. Very disappointed on the 56.00 dollar experience oh ya, they were training a new girl on cash, on a really busy night, right at crunch time. Dah! Train them in a less busy time, and build their skills. Manager error.
I ordered the Winter Warm Up Family Pak and they cut my chicken in 1/4 pieces when I asked for a whole chicken when I order the chicken from customer service, they gave me one salad dressing and one pak of croutons when I have 2 salads, this is the second time they have messed up my order and this time this is the worst service from Swiss Chalet Lindsay and not worth the time, money or headaches to order food from this place.
Everyone knows Swiss Chalets reputation...good food reasonable prices. Their COVID restrictions are a little over the top and way beyond what is required. Good on one hand but frustrating on the other...which is my only complaint.
We ordered from Swiss Chalet last night for Valentines dinner. It was the absolute worst dinner weve ever had. It was absolutely horrible, and expensive!! $75.00!!!! The chicken tasted of lighter fluid and it was so salty and there was so much sauce on the ribs you could barely see them. Also we had asked for seasoned fries.... got regular fries Never again Swiss Chalet never again

My wife pre-ordered our meals for pick-up and payment at time of pick-up. I pulled into the curbside parking spot and notified by phone that I was there to pick up and pay. I was told I had to come in to the store to pay and pick up my meals. I told them I didnt want to come in to the store. I was told curbside pick-up was only for pre-paid orders but there is no reason why the order cannot be paid with a wireless terminal at my car similar to the nearny pizza place. I find this discrininatory towards people who dont want to use their credit card to pay. I was exposed to possible Covid19 transmisdion and so were your staff. Paying at the curb is safer for your staff and customers. This was at the Lindsay store on Kent street.
Keep things very clean. Drive thru, pick up and delivery through them and kawartha Delivers. Good food.
We just devoured a delicious delivery order! The food was hot and fresh. The chicken was meaty and the fries were still crispy, not soggy. We ve had mediocre experiences at other locations in the past, but we were really impressed by our meal tonight. We ll definitely be ordering again!

Was there Thursday evening and ordered the new chicken sandwich. When they told me the price, I should have said no thanks. I decided to order anyway. Theyre doing walk in for ordering and will bring your order out to you when done. 20 min and nothing coming out as of yet. I had to leave as I received a call from the shop, my pick up was ready and I had to go pay for the repair before they closed. I called the store and didnt get anyone on the line for over 5 minutes and had to explain the situation and that I would be back. I did try to reach the counter, but it seemed I wasnt the only customer waiting a long time for their order, as a person at the counter was getting a refund and the line to reach it was long. They did hold my order for when I returned and the chicken sandwich was a real letdown. Over all not a good experience.

My friend and I enjoyed our meal very much on Sept. 8. The chicken baked potato cole slaw were excellent. In fact the best meal I ve ever had at Swiss Chalet and I ve had a few! Even the finger bowls were back. Great experience overall. Our server was Jamie who was busy but gave good service.

Terrible experience tonight. Take out order placed at 3:01pm to be picked up at 5:30pm the same night. Arrived at 5:28pm was told it wasn t quite ready yet, took my vehicle information and was told they would bring it out. After waiting 20 minutes went into inquire about my order and was told it still wasn t ready. After waiting 35 minutes my order finally came outside. Only to get home and realize two of my sides were missing. This is my first ever online review. Management needs to take accountability for their terribly run take out system in place. Extremely dissatisfied.
Pick up order was 20 minute late from the time it was schedualled to be picked up. Food was cold even when we did finally get it. Bad communication to let us know what was happening.

I was at this location tonight for dinner. I so look forward to having the festive meal deal. I have been coming to swiss chalet for years. Tonight I was so disappointed in my meal. I could not even eat my French fries. They were as hard as rocks and I was afraid of breaking a tooth. Also I ordered a Shirley temple beverage which I have ordered many times. When it arrived at our table the drink was orange and not red. Clearly it was made with orange pop and not sprite or gingerale. Why didnt the server tell me. I would have ordered a pop instead. You have lost my faith in you swiss chalet...shame on you!
Went there with the wife On Saturday Nov 20th. Hostess and Server seemed annoyed that we came in. It was about 2:00pm. Waitress was rude made us feel like we were a inconvenience to her.
Our delivery order was abysmal tonight. We have ordered form this location 20+ times annually for over a decade. Things have been getting so bad...never again. Fries missing (3rd time in a row) All food cold, tiny piece of ribs that looked and felt like shoe leather. I threw it all out other than the Piece of cheesecake which was more like a bite.
waited an hour and a half for my take out order to be ready. I was issued a credit of $16 for next time I order. Next time I tried to order the credit was not in the system. I spent another hour on the phone with customer service and they said they couldnt help me as they couldnt get a hold of the manager to reissue the credit. Im on hold now for another half hour with a rude customer service person with no resolution in sight.

I would give this review a zero if I could. Greeted by hostess with a big bulky sweater and a dish cloth in hand. Waitress messed up order, didnt correct it when we mentioned missing food, didnt offer to refill beverages through entire meal. Gave us bill, but went missing in action before we could pay. We waited and waited....bartender even had time to put on her coat and go out for a smoke and return. Asked some else to take our $$ but they couldnt so we asked to see a manager. Lo and behold out waitress (Donna F) returned and happily took our money as if nothing was wrong. So service was terrible and then to make matters worse my husbands 1/4 chicken dinner was about the size of a chicken wing. I have been a loyal Swiss Chalet customer for 40 years. Wont be going back to the Lindsay location
Service and staff are great but no smoke on chicken? Doesnt taste like Cwiss Chalet. It seems they dont use the smoke flavour on the chicken.
Just picked up food from the Swiss chalet in Lindsay and the portions are a joke was supposed to feed 4 people and the potatoes was a scoop of that fries feed one person same with rice would have gotten more of a meal at Mc Donalds... Not impressed......

Worst experience with delivery order..ever I was staying overnight in Lindsay Ontario at a hotel. I contacted the local number for Swiss Chalet that I thought would get me to the local restaurant for a delivery order. The number took me to a call centre somewhere where I spoke with a female who had no idea where I was and was beginning to cause me frustration over just wanting to place an order. I was further placed to customer service where again the rep had no idea where I was or what I wanted after asking me the same questions. I called back again and spoke to a third person who again put me on hold twice after asking me the same questions I had already answered to the first two people. I simply wanted two half chicken dinners and she gave me a total for one; I have NEVER been so frustrated in placing an order for a simple meal for delivery. It took me 20 minutes for the phone call and had to wait 45 minutes for the order. I was supposed to hear back from someone in 2 days but of course never did. Never again will I order for delivery if this is the way it is. ( Fries were a soggy mess by the time they showed up)..just awful.

Picked up 3 quarter chicken dinners yesterday at around 5:30 PM last night and we took dinners to the park to eat. Chicken was overcooked and dried out I felt it was leftovers from lunch that did not get sold. Potato was undercooked and also dried out. Worse meal I have ever had at a Swiss Chalet. I know these are tough times with the virus but if you want repeat business you will have to do a better job with your take out. Sorry.
Dined in and received cold food. Appetizer came just before the meal.

Food was as always what we expected. Good. But their Covid protocol was exceptional. We waited outside till out table was ready. The seats and tables were wiped down every time and we were given one time use menus (that were really only used once). The staff were cautious and efficient. Bravo. Well Done, we felt safe and would go back. Thank you.
Foods always good and warm, but theyre CONSISTENTLY 15-30 LATER THAN WHEN YOU PUT IN AN ONLINE PREORDER.
