QQ Sushi in Lindsay

Eaten here a couple times, Chinese food is fine but as for sushi would not recommend, first time the meat in sushi was still frozen, other couple times tasted/ smelt funny and looked like the food was starting to go bad and last time my whole family was puking sick after eating the sushi.

So this is my second time going to this restaurant I love their hot and spicy you chicken wings absolutely great and the service is very fast and very welcome and definitely got to go and try it out

I ve ordered here twice, the Chinese food combo were great but the sushi and udon was below average. Especially for the price, small rolls, poorly rolled, and had a very fishy smell which isn t normal with fresh sushi. We were unfortunately disappointed the second time we ordered here.

Sushi was good. Pad Thai was meh - but thats on me for getting pad Thai at a sushi place. Menu is way too big for me personally

Stopped by at 245pm on a Thursday afternoon in April, place was empty except 2 of us. Noted dinner started at 3pm. Asked if we still could get lunch all you can eat. Man said ok I ll let you get it . Proceeded to order, another man came in at 250pm. Male worker said no lunch, man complained but he also let him have the all you can eat lunch price. Food was good, asked for dessert off the all you can eat lunch menu at 335pm. Male worker said no more food Never again

Stayed in Lindsay for the night and was looking for somewhere for dinner. Wasn t sure about this place at first but so happy we gave it a chance! The food was absolutely delicious and arrived at the table fresh and hot. The staff was super friendly and explained anything we didn t know what it was. What an amazing experience, would definitely go back if ever back in Lindsay!

I dont know why I decided to give this restaurant a chance again after so long, since weve always had a bad to mediocre experience. I ordered some sushi for delivery tonight (it wasnt cheap either when all said and done). My vegetarian dragon roll was supposed to have yam tempura, avocado and asparagus....the asparagus was MIA and replaced with broccoli for some reason! Also ordered a vegetable roll which was supposed to be cucumber, asparagus, green pepper and avocado. What did I get you ask? Avocado, cucumber and....carrot. The few rolls that did have the right ingredients tasted off, almost like bad oil for the tempura. Im afraid to eat anything else. Unfortunately its not worth calling and complaining, since Ive been hung up on a few times in the past - and I was trying to place an order then! Im really disappointed.

Delicious sushi and friendly staff!

I have been here 3 times, and all 3 times left very disappointed. The last experience was take out a couple days ago and it had to be the worst experience of all 3 times. All I have to say is the customer service is terrible, and might be time to call a health inspector....

The owner and the staff are so friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious along with a reasonable price. We came in earlier last week for the first time and we asked for spicy mayo when we came again today, we did not even ask, she remembered us and brought us all spicy mayo. The restaurant has a cozy, personable and relaxing atmosphere that makes it an amazing place to have a meal with friends! I recommend 12/10!!

I ordered the combination plate C5 which included chicken fried rice with sweet n sour chicken and general Tso chicken. The general tso chicken was far from spicy and the sauce was thick and gooey as you may see in the picture. The sweet n sour chicken was good and I liked that they kept the sauce separate. An egg roll was included and it was good and hot. The fried rice was just ok. It wasn t a terrible meal but it was not great either. The General tso chicken for look was not appealing. It s hard to find different cultures meal in Lindsay so I do hope one day the ones that do exist they work on their presentation and their quality of food. It s important to cook great food to represent an experience for those trying or wanting something different.

Our overall experience here was good but the servings are quite stingy (rice to fish portion). Nice people but in need of some improvements for sure.

We ordered this for Valentines Day and waited about an hour. We had not received a confirmation e-mail. Knowing that you usually get a e-mail I decided to call. I was told that it was being made and that it would be about 10 to 15 minutes. This was at around 7PM. At 7:30 there was no sign of it coming so I called again. I asked how long it will be and they said around an hour. We canceled the order and I swear we will never order again.

DONT EAT HERE!!! Very disappointed spent 90$ expexting to get quite abit of food for that price but no the portions were small and food was terrible I got the beef & broccoli it was sooo salty same with the Cantonese chow mein and the crab and cheese wontons had no crab meat at all just cream cheese nothing I ordered was good it was such a waste of money! and they are definitely buying these good reviews or making accounts and leaving good reviews themselves pathetic!

Our family has been eating here for years but its gone downhill. The last two times we got only half of what we ordered, the server is horrible at refilling our drinks (she just keeps walking by) and then the sushi chef leaves the room! As if to say youre done. We get two sheets of menus to place our orders but good luck getting your second round! Or half of your first for that matter. What makes us not want to return after this last horrible experience is that they have no problem charging us top dollar ($140) for 4 people to leave hungry after sitting and waiting when there are only three tables! And the server pops out of nowhere when youre about to pay though. You should be ashamed of yourselves, QQ. We wont be back and well spread the the word to avoid this place.

Well I gave them good honest try again last night. At approximately 8 pm .disappointed I swear they got my order together out of the left over buffet. last time was half decent to be fair. I ordered at 6 pm it was fresh and good size portion of food. This time was less much less , House special fried rice was nothing more than chicken fried rice with maby 2 shrimp. My wife gave a good tip for a pick up take out order..I can say I will never go back .

The absolute worst sushi I ve ever had. I ordered a very large dinner order for pick up . The portions were pathetic in the bento boxes, no tempura sauce for the tempura, all the rolls are tiny, same with the sashimi pieces. Look at the tuna rolls for example, they are basically filled with dry crunchies and a tiny sliver of tuna. And all the rolls were like that filled with cheap ingredients and skimp on the fish. They waaaay overcharge for what they give you, I will never give them my money again.

The food is amazing, we went for the buffet and its all ordered on the spot so super fresh. Loved that part, also loved how great our service was. My complaint comes at the end. My husband went to pay (2 adult buffets) turned into $90, they charged us for some of the other people and when my husband said no its just me and my wife I guess the woman didnt believe him and charged us anyway. So with that unfortunately despite the food being amazing we wont be going back :(

We came as a group of 6 peoples, no one greeting when we walk in, the lady drop the menu without saying anything, the shushi filled with cruchies powder served first. It tasted terrible. We couldnt finished it, we let them cleaned tables and take 2 pieces shushi left back. They started bad served and didnt bring any others food to our table. After a long wait, no food come. We gave up and pay. One of us ask did you make our order yet, the lady said, we have to finish all the food on the table, then they make others food for us. There was nothing to eat ....they charge us more than $200. Never returned again.

My husband and I thought it was a little more expensive than usual. $75 for two people!

Both times I have ordered salmon sashimi to go, it has been completely frozen in the middle and tiny portion. Gross. Rolls are decent though. Spent $20 on one order of salmon rolls, one hand roll and one sashimi

I am from out of town visiting my friend and the sushi place we normally go to is closed so we came to QQ Sushi tonight instead and we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered many maki rolls and shrimp tempura, and we had fried banana and ice cream for dessert. I must say - the ice cream is INSANELY GOOD and the sushi rolls are even better than a handful of the all-you-can-eat places in Ottawa (where I live). Our server was so sweet and made us feel taken care of :) The price for all you can eat dinner is also very good!

I always order Sashimi and some chinese food as well. They always serve fresh food everytime I visit here. Coming back for sure.

Nothing good to say. Starting with watery wasabi and watered down soya sauce , limited menu, too much cucumber in every roll . In California roll there should be same amount of avocado , crab stick and cucumber. It should have sesame seeds and fish eggs Disappointed.

We dropped by while visiting the area and CRAVING sushi. Unfortunately, we were seriously disappointed. For around $25 per person, it was horrible! The flavor was borderline nonexistent, presentation the same. Sushi was made 90% stuffed with stale tempura, a blob of spicy mayo and barely there fish. Our waitress barely checked in, stood staring out the window while we waited for more service and missed parts of the order on the paper! I have NEVER had such blah sushi

I usually can eat just about anything. Hell, I ve enjoyed eating military rations out in the field. However, this restaurant is truly horrible. Please, do not come here, I am saving you money + your time. After ordering, the Salmon dishes (which happen to be the most expensive to make) would not come. Also, they seem to have a very wide variety but use the same type of ingredients so they are all the same. Last but not least, unfriendly people who just want more money. It s unfortunate that this restaurant represents the excellent cuisine of China this horribly. A shame.

This is one of my families favourite places for sushi. We loved the food the portions are perfect. We always feel welcome when we come. We will be back.

I cannot stress to you how lucky Lindsay is to have this place right now. The service is always so great, theyre always so kind and generous and accommodating. We have been getting a lot of the hot food recently and its always delicious and fresh and the portions are big. With inflation there arent a lot of places these days where two people (who dont like pizza) can get takeout for $20 and have a filling meal with leftovers for the next day, but QQ is that place in Lindsay. Vegetarian options: The chow mein and egg foo young are our favourite things on the menu, and we typically get them veggie without meat!

As always a great place to eat with the family...a very nice range of different dishes across many cultures. Prices are great for the portion sizes and the staff is very friendly. Will be back again and again.

Ive been here for a handful of lunches with my brother and sister-in-law and the people are always super friendly and great at getting you your food quickly. We had a massive party (we gave the restaurant a heads up before doing so) come in before a wedding and they were soooooo organized and fast despite the size of our group and some of the folks at the table not being familiar with sushi or the ordering system. They were beyond amazing and are a sweet bunch of people who are so friendly to chat with. The kitchen staff and the sushi chef are machines, our massive orders were great and came out as fast as they would at restaurants with double the staff and robots to help. It helps that its right on the adorable downtown strip so you can do a little shopping or grab a beverage before/after dinner super easily!

All the roles are basically the same, they didn t bring us half the stuff we ordered and sat there for almost 2 hours. Went to an all you can eat place and left still feeling hungry. Pathetic.

I get lunch here almost every Friday and any other time I am craving sushi . Sashimi is the freshest I have ever tested and I have eaten at quite a handful of sushi restaurants from kawartha lakes across into the gta !! Love the service and cost is amazing !!

The sushi from here is barely editable and did not taste fresh. Extremely expensive for the portions and quality. I would recommend going to Teriyaki Town instead.

Quick service, good food with a decent selection for both sushi & Non-sushi lovers alike. Husband & son play-fight over the General Tao, and I enjoy the Dragon Rolls. Friendly atmosphere and both the staff and regulars will happily offer suggestions to new arrivals.

The last time I went here was in may 2023. They served me some rolls and then wouldn t bring out the more expensive rolls. about 30 minutes passed and I asked the woman about the rolls. she said that I had to finish what was on my plate before more rolls would be served. so i finished what was on my plate. the rolls still didn t come out. I was also the only customer in there at the time lol. anyways, I had to get going as it had been about an hour and I asked if I could take the rolls to go. she put them in a plastic container and then had the audacity to charge me an extra $24 for the rolls that didn t come out on top of the all you can eat price. I said nope, and ate all the rolls right there and she still charged me an extra $10 on top of the all you can eat. never going back here.

Chinese food was good! Best in Lindsay thats for sure. Chicken balls 10/10 Noodles 10/10 Beef & brokoli 5/10 Chicken fried rice 7/10 General thoa was not spicy like it said & tasted and had the exact same sauce as the sesame chicken. Not even one sesame on the sesame chicken. 6/10 Serving size on general & sesame chicken was very small. Only about 8-10 small pieces of chicken. Some updates on quality should 100% be done. But overall I would say the food is JUST FINE. DECENT.

Good food service slow for all you can eat only 2 people working at lunch time. So order lots on your first order, second order my take awhile.

Fish had visibly gone bad, and they refused to refund me. Very very bad behaviour by all who work there. I honestly would not trust these people to handle your food folks, especially when its involving raw fish. Dangerous.

The sushi was so fresh and so right on price point. The menu had lots of items for people who dont admire rare fish like my self. Everything came in out on time and you can see the sushi chef preparing all your plates. We will be back.

Horrible food poisoning from Raw Salmon at lunch, didn t eat any other type of food today that could have made me sick. I thought the salmon looked a little grey, should have trusted my instincts.

Went there with a gang last night. The service was quick, efficient and friendly. Everything about the food was on point, crisp, fresh, hot, delicious. Have been here many times and will continue to eat here many more.

We went for dinner last night as a party of 4, and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The sushi was fresh and well presented (the green dragon roll is my favourite), and the battered chicken dishes were crispy and contained white chicken. The won ton soup was a delicious way to start the meal. While its true that they are short-staffed, the server ran around making sure everyone had what they needed. Well be back!

Terrible waitress, yelling on the phone running thru the restaurant and literally throwing dishes on the tables. Food was so so sat around waiting for the rest of our food to come, this place was absolutely amazing 2 years ago. I understand being short staff but if thats the case dont let so many people in.

Food was good, however service was far from. We did not receive a number of the items ordered and when we inquired about the missing items, the waitress advised she forgot to put the order in.

Appalling service and disgusting food. The waitress/owner has a rude attitude and just slams plates on your table. Food is not edible. Stir fried vegetables are soggy and soaked in oyster sauce.. looked like black tar. Their chicken wings are burnt and nasty.. tiny, too. Dont come here unless you want to be ripped off and given bad service.

We were there tonight for dinner. Food was fresh and very enjoyable. The restaurant got very busy with take out and staff were running...literally.

The sushi was rotten, the white tuna was brown and the shrimp was like a rock. The avocado had brown spots all over it. The rice was hard and dried out. I wouldnt recommend this place at all.

Disappointed by the customer service. The Pad Thai was missing scrambled egg, peanuts, bean sprouts and spring onions. The sushi (fish) pieces were small, especially the tuna which was probably only 3-4mm thick. I want to patronize small businesses downtown, but this makes it difficult.

Worst possible experience! What a terrible establishment. Took over 1 hour to deliver. When food arrived cold, I called to complain, the owner answered yelled at me and told me I was a bad customer for complaining. Food has zero flavour, rice tasted day old. Over priced for what we got. Avoid at all costs!

The server was very rude. Slammed plates in front of us and when we asked for water didnt even acknowledge. Im never rude neither is my bf. I used to be a server so I know never to show a snarky attitude towards them so I was super nice. Oh well. She mustve had a bad day but no reason to take it out on us.

We attended QQSushi today at 1:15 pm for lunch. When the server finally came to the table I asked her if the lunch special was still on. I couldn t understand her grumbled answer but I understood the nod to be yes. Even wearing a mask she looked as if she was ready to tear our heads off as she asked if we wanted a drink. We couldn t understand again her grumbling. With another look she said, Drink? We advised Pepsi and she then basically threw the all you can eat menu list on the table, pointed at something, grumbled and walked away. Once part of our order was brought, I attempted to ask her a question and she simply walked away shaking her arm, I don t know what that was about. While we were there it was only our table of two and one other table with two patrons as well. Hoping the food would make up for service again we were disappointed. With first bite of shrimp I knew it was old. The sushi rice was old, dry and partially hard, giving me the impression it was old mixed with newer rice. The tempura was soggy and just thrown in the serving basket. The hot and sour soup was cold in temperature and flavour, definitely far from how it use to taste. The garden salad tasted like it had been sitting on the counter all day. With our very small second order the server brings the Interac machine and says You pay now? We just looked at her and our face must have shown the surprised look that we are still eating, so she just walked away. I took the machine and receipt up to the cash once we were finished to pay. Pre-Covid this was our place to go knowing we would get a nice meal with friendly service. This was definitely our last time going to QQ Sushi.

Avoid at all costs!!! My wife and I had a most unpleasant experience dining at this restaurant last month (June 2022). The lady hostess/owner was surly and abrupt and not a single pleasantry or greeting was offered. Not a single Please or Thank you was ever uttered by her. She banged the plates and bowls down on the table when she brought us the food. The soup was lukewarm and the sushi servings amounted to very thin slivers of fish on a big chunk of rice, the most miserly sushi pieces weve ever been served! While we were eating, a huge argument was going on between the hostess and the chef out back that made the whole experience of dining there so unpleasant! This no doubt added to the very poor demeanor of our server/hostess. A truly bad dining experience. Avoid at all costs!

Good Asian cuisine is not that hard. So Im commenting on the stellar friendliness of the staff. Because when I go out to eat, Im paying for the ambiance, the setting, the effectiveness of the establishment. Which earns their 5 star review from me. I like the menu too of course. Being able to sit and eat as much as I want is nice. 20 bucks and being able to indulge anything I like. I like the skewers a lot. I like some of the vegetable sushi (not a big seafood person). A big fan of some of the items such as the cheese wonton. And my wife loves the entire menu, seafood especially. If you are in Lindsay, and enjoying boating, QQ sushi is a short walk from your boat.

The server is very energetic and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy despite there being no booth seats. Theres hundreds of options for sushi and meals, and it all comes in clean arrangements. Food comes to the table in about 5-10 minutes, but therell be lots of appetizers coming your way until then!

AMAZING sushi made fresh right in front of you! So many other delicious choices too! Great value for your money and such a cute little dining room. One of our family and friends favourite places in Lindsay!

First time trying this restaurant and Im thoroughly unimpressed. We ordered online, to start, they forgot one of our items. Second, what we did receive was supbar at best. The Mongolian beef that was $13 had less beef in it than a bag of jerky from the dollar store, one button mushroom cut into three pieces, two slices of carrot and what I imagine is two whole onions. The sushi was bland and the tempura was 75% batter. The salad was wilted iceberg lettuce and peanut sauce. Thats it. If the food we received was $30, Id completely understand the quality, but paying $60+ for food that would make a buffet seem gourmet is appalling. Definitely wont be back and Im not completely sure how theyre still open.

We went for all you can eat sushi last month for my sons birthday. Service was friendly and quick. Food was fresh and tasty. There was a big selection to choose from. We dont eat out very often but we definitely will be coming back.

They must be buying the good reviews. The food here is absolutely disgusting, the service is even worse, and its dirty. Highly DO NOT recommend it.

Tried this restaurant for the first time. We had the all you can eat dinner. Food tastes pretty decent but the dining experience has unfortunately deterred me and my husband from wanting to ever go back. First impressions and customer service are very crucial to a restaurant and the lady server had zero social skills or personality. Clearly she does not value the customers. She barely came to our table, my husband had to literally go to the guy preparing the sushi to ask for things. We placed our 1st order with multiple selections on a paper selection which the server took but, but it was never brought back or new order sheets provided so we felt like we couldnt order. What was brought out was sushi rolls and a few of the tiniest pieces of salmon sashimi, but we never got our sushi, hand roll or snapper sashimi. Basically a lot of or order never came out, and good luck trying to get the servers attention. Its a shame because the food that we did get tasted fairly good but the poor service was enough to keep us from returning.

Went there a few days ago for take out...probably wont go back! CONS: I didnt order sushi; had beef short ribs, tempura shrimp, Cantonese style lo mein and sesame chicken, overall nothing tasted fresh! The ribs had a weird after taste, were tough and mainly fat, very unenjoyable! The shrimp didnt taste fresh either and had no flavor had to put them in the oven to crisp them up! Chicken was teriyaki chicken disguised as sesame chicken because they sprinkled sesame seeds on it! The lady reassured me that the noodles would be like the chow mein noodles I was after but the were dripping in teriyaki sauce and nothing like a real chow mein stir fry noodles! The chow mein on the menu is a disappointment because its really bean sprouts not noodles so it should be called chop suey!!! PRO: the abundant veggies and meat on top of the noodles! Parking: Parking sucks, but its Downtown Lindsay need I say more!?!

The food was horrible. Not one thing tasted good or was fresh. The sushi was okay . But all the other items were HORRIBLE! Such a waste of money all the meat was so hard and dry. Do not get the all you can eat. Definitely was not worth it and the service sucked. Only came to the table to take the order and bring the food. I also had to ask for the bill .

I love the food! Its expertly made and tastes great! The staff also occasionally make me things not on the menu such as these rice balls! Staff are super friendly and every visit is satisfying!

I always have a good time when I get my sushi here. Everyone is nice and easy going. Never had any problems with the all you can eat either. Plus if I say I wanna just try something new they are very helpful and accommodating.

I love QQ Sushi. It is one of my favourite places to go. I go for the all you can eat and everything is fresh to order. Their sweet and sour balls are my favourite! Price is decent as well. Dinner cost more but of course lunch is much cheaper. When I have the extra cash I like to come here :) Parking: Its in the main strip, so depending on time of day parking will be right out their door or you may have to walk a minute.

I am convinced that they are buying fake accounts to leave good reviews. This eatery is by far the most pathetic example of Chinese cuisine I ve ever eaten at. The food was stale and the server s attitude was equally horrible.

We have come here on several occasions, dearly wanting to enjoy it, but the truth of the matter is that the sushi is generally subpar. On one particular occasion we actually left most of the food uneaten. The shrimp were dry, spongey and flavourless, and the salmon was cloudy, slimy and tough. The tamago was watery and disheartening, and the sesame chicken had barely any chicken (mostly batter) and was certainly not in a sesame sauce, but in fact was barbecue. In the end, we spent nearly $50 for a lunch we hardy ended up touching. The service has usually been bad for us. On the above occasion, it was actually much better than usual. I only wish I could say the same about the food

The food was very tasty, lots of options, good portions for all-you-can-eat. The customer service was not great, some of our food never showed up, and the waitress made some out-of-touch comments to my friends and I. The paper ordering menus dont work great because you only get two and have to wait for the waitress to collect them. The chef was very nice.

Staff was nice. Sushi was not good. Dishes were dirty, dead fly in soy sauce, pale fish, overall just not made correctly or good at all. The Chinese food part was ok, but we will not be returning. You get what you pay for
