Always a good time going here, have lived in Lisle for 8 years, and always find time to come at least a couple times a month. Short order diners are a dying breed, and with most only doing breakfast and lunch, we all must appreciate them while they are still around. Parking: There are a limited number of spots, maybe 16 at the most

For a mom n pop type diner, really good. Spinach and feta omelette was a good recommendation by server Kimberly ( hope I remember her name correctly).

I hate to give a bad review when the service was so good but the quality of the food and the prices left a little to be desired. I had the Farm House breakfast and the eggs and hash browns were good but the biscuits and gravy were not. My wife had eggs and ham and the ham cut had so much fat it really wasn t edible.

Very good portions, food was good, service was excellent. Standard menu, good homemade soups.

They have amazing waffles that are fluffy nad tasty.

This was a great stop for breakfast before heading to IKEA. The portions are huge and everything was delicious! Service was quick and the staff was very nice. The French toast was light and fluffy, and my grilled cheese was perfectly prepared.

Went to this neighborhood spot for breakfast and the food and service were good. The menu had different options for kids as well healthy options. The food itself was tasty and the quality of the ingredients came through. The portion sizes are ample, I took about half of my meal home in a to go box. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. The servers and wait staff were prompt and courteous. This is a great local place to go for breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price. Im sure well be back again.

Went for an early breakfast prior to a dryer repair project. I enjoyed my Denver omelet, cheese included and forever a requirement. We went early ish on a Sunday, less crowded. Gets busy, typical for the day. Coffee hot.

Was very disappointed in the breakfast we got. Breakfast food is simple and when your paying for it, it s a let down when it s not up to par. Not sure if they were short handed or had a different cook in the back but we ordered two omelettes with crispy hash browns and French toast. Omelette was ok, watery in the middle and then slightly over cooked on the outside. We asked for crispy hash browns and they were actually undercooked. The bottom of them did not even have a grill/cooked mark. The French toast was as bland as could be. I ve never had such bland French toast, EVER. No flavor, no sweetness, we had to load it up with butter and add sugar from the table. Server was very nice, they were busy and she made sure to check on us but i think she could tell we weren t totally satisfied. Most likely will not return and will go else where.

Its the best diner in the Lisle/Naperville area. Very kid friendly and when youre craving a good bowl of soup, this place will scratch the itch.

Super great service and food is always decent! I have yet to have a bad meal at this restaurant. They are also open to making changes for those that have sensitivities like dairy allergy or gluten free. Just make mention and provide suggestions, if desired. Enjoy!

Good Morning All! At Morningside Cafe this morning. I ordered the Garden Skilet with a side of Hollandaise sauce as they are famous for the sauce. This was delicious all around. The Staff was very kind and the waitress had a wonderful sense of humor. Morningside was very clean with a Homestead atmosphere. I would highly recommend Morningside. Dont forget to tip your Waiters and Waitresses. Peace out to all.

Pretty standard breakfast place. Nothing bad but nothing that wowed me. Staff was pretty friendly and responsive. Great that they have sweet potato fries as a side option. Id go back... But only if Im in the area already.

Friendly staff, good food. I like the good selection of items on the menu. The crepes are really good as is the skirt steak. I also really like the Jimmys Frittata. This place has been around for a very long time. Unfortunately when it was sold years ago, and changed the name, the restaurant changed as well and it only serves breakfast and lunch, no more dinner. The food quality and quantity is not even close to what it once was. You can tell by the amount of empty tables at breakfast and lunch time. The service is good, our waitress kept our waters and coffee cups full. I have recently been there for breakfast and lunch, the place has been mostly empty. I thought that their breakfast quality has improved slightly, but it also was slightly over priced.

Parking: Great place for local food in Lisle but after Sunday Services its a little crowded after coming out of church , parking lot is always full on a Sunday morning but the food is really great even with a 5 to 10 minute wait., Highly recommend this place if youre in Lisle , in DuPage County looking for a good family style eats. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes they are wheelchair-accessible it is ground level and they also allow service dogs to eat in the restaurant looks a lot of vocations dont.

My overall grade for Morningside Cafe is: A This is a prototypical breakfast restaurant with all that you would expect. Good service. Big menu. Food very well done. One major reason breakfast is my favorite meal is that an omelette is an omelette all over the place. If you like to get what you expect with good service and a good atmosphere, seek this place out.

Came here at noon on a busy mothers day, but was seated immediately with a group of six. Service was great, food was well worth the price as they give you a big plate of food, prepare to have left overs ! Drawback is no egg substitutes so if you have egg allergies you will have to look at their lunch options. I recommend their biscuits and gravy, banana French toast, blt, and stuffed French toast. Im sure you cant go wrong with anything on the menu! Plus its a better value and you get more food then going to honey jam cafe. Try this hidden gem!

Server stole my senior mother s credit card information on July 3rd, 2023. Luckily the fraud department caught it when the server made their fraudulent purchase. Otherwise, the food here is ok.

We wanted to try this place for sooo long because we live close but sadly we were so disappointed! Service was very nice and helpful. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived so we expected to be in-and-out fast. That was not the case. We waited on our food around 40 min, on 2 pretty easy food items Not to mention people that arrived way after us were already done with their breakfast. When we finally got it, it was sadly cold. I m not a person to complain or ask for much but imagine cold gravy on biscuits. Then waited another 15 min for french toast which was sitting cold too. I hope it only happened this time and it s not a regular thing. But do better!

Old school suburban restaurant that gives you plenty of food for the price. You know what youre getting here, decent food with no frills but sometimes thats all you want. Service is always excellent and you cant beat the prices. Especially if youre used to eating out in Chicago.

Boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to try and gave the Morningside a shot. I loved this diner! It was clean, well lit, and the staff was friendly and efficient. I had the panini (minus the bacon) and it was fresh and fluffy. Bread was perfectly toasted and not greasy. Cheese was melted but not gooey and the avocado was perfectly ripe and delicious.

Perfect spot for breakfast. The wait staff is phenomenal!

Wonderful omelets. Place is clean and inviting. Katie was an awesome waitress and made our morning brighter with her cheery attitude. We were in the area for a convention at the Raddison, but will be coming to this restaurant all the time now. Keep hiring people like Katie!

Me and My Bestfriend came here to have a brunch and the place itself is rude and very disrespectful. We had an issue with both of our plates as far as hash browns not being fully cooked and we sent them back three times and still came with uncooked hash brown. I myself ordered stuffed strawberry French toast with mascarpone and I informed my waiter one time that I didn t like it and wanted an extra side of mascarpone to try and see if I just needed extra mascarpone; just to receive the mascarpone and it tasted like butter. We informed her that neither of us were satisfied with our plates but katie(the waiter) continued to disregard us and kept Walking away as my bestfriend tried to get her attention to attend to us. We got the bill and asked Katie to take off my French toast because I didn t eat it at all and we asked to speak to the manager and he proceeded to say we had to pay for everything that was at the table. We then called the police to inform them of the situation and what was going on and told them we felt we were being discriminated against but didn t truthfully want to think we were. The dispatcher stayed on the phone with us the whole entire time we were there gathering our things to leave the restaurant.When the manager realized we were on the phone with the police he then decided to come and take off my order from the ticket and then still proceeded to kick us out after he came back to our table with the receipt. The police arrived after I paid for my bestfriends food and we told him the situation and he walked us out of the restaurant to our cars. I highly do not recommend this place and if I was able to give no stars I would. This place is not recommended for any black friends,families, and or even black couples trying to enjoy a nice brunch.

Cute place to eat healthy foods. We had the avocado toast. Delicious! and a patty melt. First patty melt without the bread soaked in butter. Nice bright vibe. Dont let the outside make you skip this place...it did for us until we decided to try it.

This diner makes me want to go back and give four stars to every other diner Ive ever eaten at! Clean, delicious, high quality and exceptional! The menu features a large variety of amazing entrees with fair-prices and all the add-ons you could imagine! The coffee is perfect and the service is kind and hardworking! I love this place. being a busy person I always jump on every opportunity to eat brunch here. There s so many options, they are so delicious and more affordable than other places. The staff is super friendly and quick. Highly recommend the el Mirachi or bacado omelette.

What a nice surprise while visiting family to have such a delicious creative breakfast right down the street from out hotel. The two dishes we had, the chipotle corned beef benny and spicy chicken skillet, were SO good! And totally reasonably priced. The server was super friendly and attentive. And the interior is quite cozy. This place has it all for breakfast.

We were in Chicago to see our daughter perform in the Thanksgiving Parade and were heading back to Iowa. We felt lucky to find such a fabulous Cafe open on Thanksgiving to get a good meal before we drove home. Everyone was so friendly and treated us like we were regulars. The food was delicious and hearty. It was just what we needed!

Coffee is really good. Pumpkin pancakes where delicious. Wait staff to notch very attentive. I highly recommend.
