Authentic Cuisine of india PUB & GRILL
I recently visited New Delhi, Unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. When we entered, the restaurant was completely empty, and the staff appeared disengaged, focused on their phones and chatting. Their demeanor made us feel unwelcome, as if our arrival was an inconvenience. We ordered goat curry, but it was served raw and cold, even frozen in the middle. When we politely requested it be reheated, the staff responded dismissively, saying, “This is how it’s cooked,” and suggested we order something else instead. Hoping for a better experience, we ordered methi malai, which was served within minutes—also raw and frozen, clearly pre-prepared and not properly heated. The naan and tandoori roti we ordered were stale and had an unpleasant smell, likely from old dough. To make matters worse, the atmosphere of the restaurant was uncomfortable, with people openly smoking inside. Overall, the quality of both the food and service was extremely poor, and I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience. People are smoking in public areas!
Came from BC to eat worst food, raw goat curry when asked to cook they said it is what it is, so rude. People Smoking in the premises, worst experience.
🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢Came from bc to explore Alberta, had worst food in my entire life here at NEW DELHI INDIAN RESTAURANT llyodminster. Quality of food as well as customer service was poor, the restaurant was empty when we entered the restaurant , every employee was using their mobile phone and having fun. Their face expression were directly saying please don’t come inside otherwise we have to leave our phones and do some work. Then we ordered goat curry it was RAW🤢🤢🤢 we requested them to reheat it as it was frozen from inside too. Then after some time the employee came and simply said it is cooked like this only, you guys can order something else or eat it like this. Then we politely orders methi malai it was RAW and frozen again( how someone can prepare any curry in 5 minutes) it was obviously frozen and they were just heating it for 2 minutes. Also the naan bread and tandoori roti were smelling bad🤮🤮🤮🤮 , i strongly believe that the dough was really very old. Also there were homeless people in the restaurant smoking openly.
Food was descent and has a bar vibe to it. They also have active VLT'S at this spot. So if you are down for drinks and indian food then this is your spot.
The best Indian Restaurant in Canada. Located along Highway 16 in Lloydminster, the restaurant is a typical pub and restaurant. I ordered vegthali and my daughter ordered the non-vegthali. The waitress gave us the options of spicey, medium spicy and regular spicey. I opted for the super spicy and guess what? THE FOOD WAS AWESOOOOOOOOME! I have been searching for an authentic Indian food since I moved to Canada in 2008 from Kuwait where my family stayed for nearly 25 years. We ate authentic, home cooked like, Indian food daily and this is my reference. Now I found it and could not believe it is in Lloydminster. My wife ordered chicken biryani which was also awesome and just right for my taste. My daughter too was amazed by the taste of her non-vegthali. All in All, the best Indian Restaurant in Canada. 10-out of-10. The staffs are good too and the cook knows what he's doing. Highly recommended
Went at this restaurant tonight(20 nov) for my sister birthday dinner, we were impressed by the customer service provided, the girl working there was very humble and provided the best service. The food was soooo good, to be honest we were not expecting this much tasty food in the city but this restaurant surprised us with the taste and flavours. Wonderful quality and quantity with less waiting time for food.
First time here, got the lunch combo special, which was decent overall :) even though the butter chicken was a bit too sweet for my taste; the naan & channa masala was very good though... The atmosphere is a bit too dark & gloomy for me personally, but wait staff is nice. Lamb curry and portion is pretty good for the price. Naan was a bit dry this time.
I ordered for pickup and my man went to get it, so I am not sure about the atmosphere... but the food was INCREDIBLE. I have spent a lot of time in india, and this was very authentic and delicious. We ordered 5 dishes and they were all so unique and flavourful - definitely will order again!!
Worst experience. Came in group of 6. Was hoping great service but not even a happy greet from staff. They were all busy with phone. Ruined our money.
Yesterday we dining there i tried amritsari kulcha so yummy i always order from there and always get good service from staff member girl her nature is very humble. Kid-friendliness: Server girl greeting customer in very good way and she is kind.
Best food and great service
Not the fanciest restraunt, but has the superior Indian food Imo, and at a better price in town.
Very bad service.
Had Amritsari Kulcha made by sukhpreet and let me tell you it was soo tasty highly recommended
We just had dinner at this restaurant. All veg. Unfortunately our experience was not good at all. Order taker took our order verbally and gave us wrong item. Neither manchurian nor punjabi sabji was good. The light on our table was not turned on either!! Not recommended for vegetarian options at all
Not recommended We had dinner today.. most of the reviews seems fake. Food is below average. The order taker took order verbally and gave us wrong item. Its not recommended for vegetarian food. Food seemed like its frozen and reheated. Not good. Food : 1/5
To bad theres never anyone there. I hope they survive. Go check it out. Traditional real Indian cuisine
Food is delicious overall, decent quantity given. Sometimes its hard to find staff at the front counter as theyre often in the back in the kitchen cooking, so you have to either wait a while, or quickly pop up in the back to alert them. Atmosphere is a bit dark for my taste, but cozy for those who enjoy that.
If I could give zero stars, I would. All of the 5 star reviews must be fake. WARNING BUYER BEWARE!! THIS WAS THE WORST FOOD WE HAVE EVER TASTED, NOT JUST THE WORST INDIAN, BUT THE WORST FOOD. PERIOD!! We ordered take out for dinner. This was the first time we have tried this place. The prices seemed a bit expensive, but we thought we would try it and were hopeful it would be amazing like almost all Indian food we have had over the years. I dont know how this place can even call this Indian food, because it isnt. We ordered a Shahi Paneer, which should be a red sauce just like butter chicken has, with medium spice. What we got was a sweet yellow curry, that tasted like sugar and anise, no spice at all, and the Paneer cheese was sour and no good anymore. We also ordered a veg korma, spice level hot. The korma had the same sauce for its curry as the shahi Paneer, sweet, sugary, and full of Anise, absolutely no spice. The vegetables in the korma were obviously frozen and had probably been sitting out, as they were limp and wilted. Both curry sauces tasted sour. We also ordered a garlic Naan bread and it was very chewy, so much so it was like chewing gum. Then we also ordered a side of saffron rice, which was $10.99!!! For rice!! There was no saffron in the rice, but there was a ton of golden raisins. Absolutely disgusting, and all of the food tasted off, so we could not eat any of it for fear of getting sick. Once we got home and realised all of this, we called the restaurant to let them know. The owner was gone for 1 to 3 months depending on who I spoke with, and no one was left in charge, no manager to speak to. Eventually, they offered to replace the food, but we didnt want to try the food ever again. They told me they couldnt offer a refund because they werent allowed to, but then said they would call the owner, Dinesh. They called me back and said Dinesh refused to give me a refund, or deal with me, and I was extremely polite and patient throughout my dealings with them. Then the employee called me back and said that she could not refund my credit card or cancel the transaction, but would refund me in cash if I came back. It just sounded really fishy. I would have spent the $50 refund in fuel just to go and get the refund, so I didnt bother on a maybe, and got my credit card company to dispute the charge. I took the time to write all of this, in the hopes I may be able to save others from going through this ordeal. I hope this is helpful, and if youre looking for Indian food, let alone good Indian food, dont go here!
Excellent
Nice food
Rude Staff..Dont know how to take order and treat their guests..
Nobody was in the dine-in area to take the order. Disgusting restaurant.
No staff to take order . Waited for near about 30 minutes. Don t go there to waste your money and time .
The food is delicious and mouth watering. The service is excellent. Definitely recommend it.
The food was very good. Staff was also helpful. We went to this restaurant through reviews. It had some bad reviews but I definitely didnt judge a restaurant by its reviews. I went there and everything was perfect and excellent. My experience there was great.
Guys come visit this place there butter chicken so good , and there chicken Malai Tikka is so good
Awesome food very tasty and we are happy. Good price and just right servings. Keep it up the good work. I strongly recommend the chicken biryani and buttered chicken really tasty. Thumbs up
Food was awesome.
This was the best Indian food I have had in Canada! They have a diverse menu, and the food had deep rich flavors. As for the spice level I ordered a medium, but next time I will go for the hot. Well done! I am looking forward to going again. Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian but the menu has many GF and Vegetarian options. I especially enjoyed the paneer curry.
Food was amazing, not very greeting. Waited 10 mins before we even saw a server. There was no music playing and no pictures or anything on the walls, aswell the TV was set to a challenge of a guy butchering a pig.
Awesome food , service was a bit slow to order, atmosphere was dank, no music and was not very welcoming ,
Food was very nice, try butter chicken and garlic bread very good and trry chinese very nice
delicious and one of the best food , quantity is also great
I called my order in and ordered takeout. During the call, the service was very thorough. I ordered Chicken Kadai and Chicken Masala most medium and was very supervised by it s taste. I went in with mediocre expectations at best, due to it being a new restaurant. The food was very good and the spice level was perfect; not too spicy but still packed with flavour. I was shocked by the amount of food there was. With the 2 dishes I ordered, my family of 4 could eat and still have leftovers. This place is amazing and definitely surpassed my expectations in terms of Indian food in Lloyd. Very well managed place with tons of variety and quantity.
The food was really good. Our family enjoyed it. Just needs some music to liven up the atmosphere a bit but other than that it was really good. We will return.
Very bad experinec we are regular customer there we just ask them to convert out take out into dine in order at 11pm and there dine in hours are till 12pm I check it with the front girl she was so nice she told me that dine is till 12pm she asked the owner if we can convert it or not but he refuses he was rude to us we will never visit their resturant. The owner is so rude we did not like it. Iam very disappointed with owner behaviour.
Great food!!!! Thats all you need and their food is phenomenal. Atmosphere could use some serious work but the food makes it all worth it. Will go again and order take out from there for my Indian fix. Vegetarian options: Aloo Gobi
Proper authentic indian touch really liked the food and ambiance
Very nice people and food as well all good
i tried 3 times and all the times food was below standards. The tasteless dishes and snacks. The sweet dishes of ridiculous taste n size.
Staying in town this week for work. Gotta say, try lunch or dinner thali, you get variety of stuff including appetizer to mains and desert as well, its enough for one person.
Our first time we were unsure what to order. The waitress was So helpful in showing us some great options. We had a 2 person meal, Which allowed us to try multiple different dishes, which were all amazing. We didnt have to wait too long for our meal. And the price was also nothing to complain about! Was an amazing experience!
Ordered take out and it was fantastic, defiantly will be ordering again
My husband and I tried this place for the first time and LOVED it. We ordered takeout and they were very quick and accommodating. I d recommend the dinner combo for two, you get so much food for a more than reasonable cost. Plus the food was absolutely amazing. Will be ordering from them again very soon!
The food here is amazing! Service is also great! Will be back again and again! Looking forward to them making the space more their own as far as atmosphere, but hands down the best food and service I ve had for dine in and take out in town in a very long time! Vegetarian options: Nice selection of options. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegetarian options and gluten free choices. Parking: Lots of space.
I ve eaten in Indian restaurants in Edmonton & Abbotsford. I enjoy Indian food; today I dined at the New Delhi Restaurant in Lloydminster AB. It was the Best food I ever had. Absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, faster than I expected and SOO reasonable in cost.
What a hidden gem. From the reviews I read I was expecting a stale old bar serving reasonable food. The food here is phenomenal, and may have been the best butter chicken and garlic naan I have had yet. The interior is what looks to be a bar previously but is clean and well maintained. The building has a lot of potential with the available space and should consider making some changes to draw in more customers. Good service, great food, I would definitely eat here again.
Amazing food
I had a disappointing experience at New Delhi Restaurant in Lloydminster. The vegetable biryani was not fresh; the vegetables and oil had an unpleasant taste. While one staff member apologized, the owner, Dinesh, was unprofessional. He not only dismissed my concerns but also used abusive words and showed a complete disregard for customer service. What was even more disheartening was his discriminatory remark about our shared Asian background, saying he didn t care if I complained or involved the police. This lack of respect and professionalism makes it clear that this establishment needs serious improvement.
Worst experience, had ordered veg biryani which was super spicy with no flavors and taste. There was no response from the owner
Best place best food I ordered Panner pasanda,Butter chicken, poutine and chicken tikka.Food was very tasty. Thanks
