Great service, tasty bubble tea, and amazing food that brought me right back to the Philippines. Loved it!
This is my favorite place to get wor wonton it's so delicious...I tried Ginger beef tonight best I've had. Their food is always fresh and so good highly recommend!
We usually get the war wonton to go, and it is awesome. Huge portion and great taste. Recently, the wife got me on one of the combos, and they are huge and great too.
Burnt! First time customer. Ordered 2 vermicelli bowls and 3 extra pork spring rolls (since my vermicelli bowl didn’t come with any) …. Expensive, small portions, lots of lettuce but hardly any cucumber or carrot and meat was burnt. Not only on my dish (chicken) but my husbands as well (chicken and pork). 40$ My husband is not picky at all and he even said he will never go back.
So disappointing! Way over priced for portions!! Thought it would be worth it! Not even close!! The $16.39 portion of ginger chicken it literally 1 cup and a 1/4!! I can get 4 cups at edo! For that price!! And lucky garden has way better crab Rangoon! For a half the price!!
This is a very fast food version of pho that isn’t really that fast. Half the portions of a real pho restaurant at a higher price. This is not a great choice in restaurants to say the least Don’t even get me started on the paper cutlery and a bowl of soup at 17$
Pho was ok and the springrolls were pretty good. The menu had a mix of Filipino and Vietnamese. Planning on returning to try more of the menu. The service was friendly and quick. July 29, 2024 - tried the Pancit Canton and it was really good. Service was still quick and the restaurant was lively at lunch.
Visited this restaurant quite recently and we had a good experience. We ordered the stir-fry and the bowl of Pho as well as Halo-halo for dessert. All the food items were good. The restaurant serves both Filipino and Vietnamese foods and is generously priced. Only complain was that the service could be a tad too slow at times. It was still a good experience however.
One of the best shrimp pad Thai Ive had. Big servings and quality ingredients. Loved the ginger beef too.
My husband and I have eaten here multiple times as he likes it. I have tried multiple dishes and thought they were decent at best. Today I decided to try something new, the Pork Sisig, the description given for it is this: Prepare for an explosion of flavours. Our Pork Sisig is a sizzling sensation of chopped pork, sizzling on a hot plate with onions, peppers and the perfect blend of savory seasonings. A beloved Filipino dish thats bold, zesty, and unforgettable. It was certainly unforgettable when I started eating only to realize the chopped pork was just cartilage. Specifically pig ears and pig snout. If you like cartilage then I am sure youll like this. I think its disgusting and was totally un prepared for a dish made purely of chopped cartilage. I like any normal person assumed it would be made of chopped pork MEAT not ears and snouts. They should indicate that is whats in it for people who are not familiar with Filipino food. Bad service for take out. Absolutely disgusting food that is labeled misleadingly.
Nk flavors no taste, I love vietnamese food but thus is just blend in every way possible
Girl working the front was not friendly in the slightest they got my order wrong and then asked me to bring my food up so they could remove the portion that was wrong. I said I would rather pay for a new side of spring rolls then have them remove them from my food. Gross.
Food is overpriced for being fast food style - vermicelli bowel comes with a bottle of fish sauce - salty Shanghai noodles - fresh Rolls taste processed. Worst Vietnamese we ve had & my family and I are not picky !! Feel like we were ripped off after spending $80!! Check out OJ s or EDO in the same parking lot instead !
The washrooms are the reason why its 5 star everything else is mid
The pho here is not it.
The first ever restaurant that I have been to that dont put nuts or peanuts on their menu list of ingredients. I been to quite few Asian restaurants where it says on their menu (it contains or may contain peanuts. ) or sauce is mix with peanut etc. A trip to emergency and almost died today and all they say, we dont put peanut on the ingredients list but the soup u order does contain peanut on it. WOW. Thanks for the clarification. If your menu couldve said sauce has peanut on it!! , like the rest of the damn restaurant, we couldve not spent our night to the emergency tonight.
Placed order online charge my card but order was rejected, called the store to place the order declined my call 3 times , thank you very much for keeping the store open but not receiving orders
First time there and wasnt disappointed. Flavorful and belly full. Had to take some home. I definitely will return.
Friendly staff, great service and food is delicious.
We had a craving for a vermicelli bowl and found the right place. Very friendly greeting and service. Food was hot, delicious and freshly made as ordered. We will return.
Delicious food, always quick and friendly service
I love this restaurant!! The food is so flavourful and fresh!
Unfortunately there was alot of sauce on everything, its kinda like chinese food but everything had a nutty flavor and was very heavy feeling. The staff seemed friendly tho. In fairness Im sure its great ,although we were looking for the classic kinda western Chinese food.
Yummie
Foods are so good, love it and the customer service is amazing.
The food s good! My favourite is the deep fried wonton. Also, I didn t expect them to have filipino food on the menu! I recommend this place!
Very nice place
For some reason they wouldn t let me buy some noodle broth on the side, even though it is listed on their menu. They also forgot to give me the sauces for my Saigon Special. Overall, wasn t a very good experience.
Came in today for some food and we had to wait 30 mins just for the server to take our order. The server did not look very welcoming first and foremost. No greeting was ever given to us when we walked through the doors. We were told to pretty much sit ourselves and wait for half an hour to get our orders taken. I am very disappointed with this place, the food is subpar and i would recommend others to go to other restaurant. I get better services from fast food. This is not it. If the owner is reading this, you would need to consider maybe training your staff specially servers to act with a bit more urgency to serve customers and not drag her feet like doesnt wanna work here. You have just permanently lost two customers will tell others to not waste their money and time in this establishment.
Went in well before closing to be told they couldnt take our order because they had too many online orders. This has now happened to us twice and we will be taking our business elsewhere
The weren t offering Salad Rolls. I like the fried wontons, but wasn t a fan of the spring rolls. Both our soups were tasty. Service and experience was ok! Will probably visit again
Excellent service and food more than met my expectations. Only issue if I had one is get that front heavy door you come in fixed cause it s hard to open it and an older person might not be strong enough to open it is all.
Food was delicious and warm. Besides Vietnamese, they have Filipino foods as well.
My favorite pho place in town. Good food quality and friendly service. Good combination of Vietnamese and Filipino food. You need to try it.
Worst Pad Thai I tasted. Soggy noodles, not spicy, and no nuts!
The food was amazing.
Excellent. Love the gluten free options!
Good for a quick bite.
Seems like this place has a history of closing early. Arrived yesterday at 19:30 hrs was told they close at 2000hrs I said ok we won t be long. She said sir we close at 2000 I said ok I see you mopped the floors and put everything away already good way to earn someone s business. We left and went somewhere else. Judging by there staff and how they behave probably a blessing we didn t eat there! Should be allowed to give negative stars for a rating as well they don t even deserve one star
Disgusting. This is the meat they gave me in my pho. With one ok piece over top of it covering it.
First time I came here and its really good a service was great I had the big war wonton soup and I also ate spring rolls I would go again
Food and service were good. Only complaint was I could taste the air freshener when I went to the washroom.
Passing through on our way home to Grande Prairie and wanted something other than a burger. food was perfect! Portions were great, taste was amazing. For the amount of food we got I couldnt believe the price. We will definitely be stopping in again seeing how we dont have one in GP. Thank you for the delicious food!
I don t understand the bad reviews I ordered the house special pho. All the meat was good quality and a decent portion. The broth could have used a little more depth of flavour, but other than that it was a solid bowl of pho, in the middle of a little town in Alberta
Had the stir fry beef was fire
One of the best restaurants in town!
Friendly service, and even better food! The pad Thai is so delicious!
Worst pho I ve ever had. Took forever and has no taste.
Delicious food friendly staff
I really love the special Saigon vermicelli!! The taste of the marinated pork is very great!
Love it here! Super friendly! When I call they know who I am and know exactly what I want.
I found hair is my soup.
Best bubble tea in town...
Ordered some pho tonight and it tasted like cleaner.
so good.
Love love love the bubble tea.....Pina colada one is to die for
Polite friendly staff! Great food!
I was really disappointed because we went in there at 4:45 and she came right up to us and told us we have to get our food to go because they were closing at 5. I get that it was family day and what not but what kind of restaurant does that? Ive worked at a few restaurants and we never ever in my life did that. Ive ordered through skip the dishes and its alright but I have had better vietnamese food at other places
Very disappointed with our last order from there I think the chef was not a clue what he was doing rice overcooked soup meat was cut in small pieces no good
The food had zero flavour, we ordered salad rolls which we had to eat over the table. I went and asked for plates and got one and there were three of us. Then waited 10 minutes at the till to pay because no one was around.
The pho wasnt that good.
Love the food
Fast service and love the food
I ve had better. Especially for the price
Ohhh so amazing and lovely food
Has the feel of a chain restaurant but the food quality Is terrific Ive at New Saigon 3 times now and its always been good.
Loved it!!!! Be adventurous and try something new
Great foods and awesome staffs
Always good food and great service here.
Great food
New Saigon always has excellent service the food tastes amazing the gluten-free options are phenomenal theyre inexpensive and always make you feel welcome I highly recommend this place for all of your wonderful Delights
Place was not clean, i would say around 80% of the things i actually wanted they were out of. Spring rolls were soggy. Server did not seem happy. All in all not the greatest experience.
So so true!!! Very delicious food
This is not Vietnamese foods at all . Its Fillipinos foods obviously .
This restaurant is almost always empty when I drive by. Having eaten there previously, Im not surprised. I think any glowing revues on this page must be written by employees. Poor quality food. nuff said.
wont come back
Good food, quick and friendly service. Always hot fresh meal!
I came in with very low expectation but it turned out pretty good. Not a lot of pho options but the one I got was tasty. It did taste like pho!
Love the war wonton soup with no celantro they make great bubble tea
Best pho in town by far - closest thing to the real deal in Vietnam!
Will not suggest to eat here... dirty under tables cant even sweep and there were only 2 tables eating when we came. Rice served was burnt and obviously the bottom part of the rice, chicken that was served taste old and gross. The high chair was dirty too! What more inside kitchen...will surely not coming back here.
Always great, and honestly Id say prices were good too for the quality and quantity and service.
New experience. Was incredibly enjoyable
Simple and delicious Vietnamese food.
So good!!!! Great Service! - Amazing Food!
Love the food. Nice people too.
Tasty vermicelli bowls!
Healthy, cheap, delicious, fast, clean!!! Highly recommend.
Really quick service. But small portions.
Good food, nice little restaurant if you like noodles!
When they first opened I ate in restaurant and they werent bad! I ordered to my home this evening and the portions are incredibly small! I had the vermicelli bowl with beef and there were maybe 5 pieces of carrots and 5 pieces of cucumber. The beed also lacked flavour. So Im making dinner after ordering out. $30 down the drain! I dont know what the change is in this business but due to my experience I will no longer be ordering from this restaurant.
Great food and better service, very friendly.
Great chicken fried rice and the curry chicken soup is killer.
A Wonderful restaurant! It is a stop Everytime we come to the city. Great soup, great coffee and amazing fresh rolls. A must try!
Good service excellent and food quickly made and served.
I had a dish for lunch that I fully enjoyed when I spent time in Ho Chi Minh. This tasted horribly and I felt very uncomfortable there. The noodles tasted sour and now I am feeling sick. I wouldnt recommend eating here.
Good food great service
Non authentic, dominatly Filipino restaurant then Vietnamese
They can make it nice and spicy if you like. Very tasty and good value.
For take out or delivery ..this place has been a lifesaver. They make fresh tasty menu items, generous portions, priced right, and very kind people work there. our faves are #53 and the war won ton soup.. very very good!
This place has some decent vietnamese food! I thought the portion sizes were on the smaller scale for the price, but overall good experience. The spring rolls were delicious and worth getting. I got the special pho, and the broth was a tad mintier than what i am use to. However the pho was still good, especially for Lloyd
Always great food. Prices are reasonable and service does not suffer because of it.
Great food, great service
Share the details of my experience at the Saigon Noodle House... Where do I start??!?!? Typically when one leaves a restaurant with a bad taste in their mouth... Nothing good seems to follow are far as reviews are concerned!!! But in the interest of my fellows... Please continue to read on and maybe you may want to reconsider your choice of cuisine, particularly at this venue. To truly begin, lets get the positives sorted out. The cold can of Coca-Cola was really delicious!!! My co-worker actually enjoyed his Heiniken too!!! Thats about all that kept me from dinendashing from one of the worst dishes of my entire adult life. What adds even further insult to injury is that our server highly recommended it, the Chicken Stir Fry with Egg Noodles. Dont get me wrong, upon seeing the selection, paired with the praise from our waitress, I couldnt wait to dig in!!! What I ended up hurling out was something I can only describe as the stuff you scoop out of the bottom of the compost behind the all you can eat chinese buffet. Truly horrid, I tell you with all sincerity. After one excruciating mouthful, I now knew what my dog must feel like when I mix wet food in with his kibble!!! Im sorry, King, Ill never do that to you again!!! Looking back in hindsight, I guess my first clue wouldve been when I vaguely noticed that the entire kitchen staff appeared to be of Filipino descent. Odd, considering Saigon is a city in Southern Vietnam. To the owners I say, Doh mah! I wouldnt expect your kitchen crew to know what I mean by that, since they dont even originate from that part of the asian continent. But I think they get the hint!! The icing on this decrepit, mouldy cake is that they still expected me to pay for the meal I sent back. Patience & Tolerance is my code and I happily obliged, knowing full well that they would be hearing from me again!!!! One Star for the beverages they selected to serve their customers!!!! PS... My co-workers dish didnt fair any better... His deep fried chicken happened to bathe a tad bit too long. Enough said......... Mic Drop*
Hot food bit not as expected. I can do better than this
Food and service is awesome. They have added Filipino dishes to their menu which is brilliant! The people working there are friendly and attentive.
yummy!
Amazing food and the best fried rice in town.
Great food and service!
No flavor. Service was substandard. First time there and last
Took 20 minutes to get our orders in and glasses of water, servers looked very disorganized with everything. Was disappointed because we got our main meals first before the appetizer, which was pork spring rolls, and the spring rolls tasted like they were purchased from the frozen section out of wal-mart(or worse), way below restaurant quality. And the fish sauce they came with smelled like it went bad. Asked for a side of rice noodles with my dish and they were overcooked and rubbery, plus the side of noodles was very small. Only reason for the 2 stars was that our main meals tasted quite good, really saucy and flavorful with coconut curry sauce and sweet n sour sauce. Dont go here if youre in a rush, youll be waiting for awhile. Oh also their menu says they have beer and, according to our server that night, they dont.
Went in almost all tables were dirty, had to ask if we can sit down, waited.. waited then I finally called the lady and said, Do we order here or need to go up? She said no we have menus.. Amazing simple rice does not come with the meals, however we ordered, then saw a couple guys from Fatburger come over and looked like special treatment, served right away but the fellow, and ofc watched them get their meals before ours as well. Ours finally did come, and not once after 8 times the lady by passed us, did she ever ask if everything was okay or need anything. When it came time to pay the bill after waiting another 15 minutes I finally said to the other lady, Where do we pay? Here , upfront , where? And your service here sucks. Finally after another 5 minutes as if it was rocket science our bill comes and the lady was about to leave the bill and go again. My husband was so pissed by this point. I said no, we would like to pay our bill now. She said nothing the entire time, not her name, how would you like to pay? I had to do all the talking. Im sorry but with that kind of bad service, you will not have repeat customers, the food was okay, but would I go back again... nope! Hire servers that actually know how to serve and talk to guests. That was just pathetic!
Came for lunch to check it out . Hubby got his meal a I had to ask for mine to go because it was taking so long. Not a great first impression.
Give 5 starts for the food. But only 2 stars for the poor service. The server walked very slowly although the store was busy. I had beef pho, the soup tasted so good. Average price $12-15 per person.
Had the rare beef and meatball Pho. The Pho was a bit too sweet. Portion size was way too small for the price youre paying. I also ordered spring rolls which I had to remind them about when I was half done my pho. Then, they were pre made and when I tried to pull them apart they just ripped apart. I sent them back. Then, up front by the til was more premade plates sitting by the drink station. Like.... Hello? Food safety, anybody? Seems weird. Also, the drinks are crazy expensive. $5 for lemonade which was fresh lemon and Im guessing a ton of sugar. They never asked or brought me any water. Just kinda disappointed. Ill go back to try other dishes but I hope it gets better.
Food was totally awesome! We didnt have to wait very long for food.
Soup was cold. Told the cooks it was cold and could hear him shouting in disbelief from the kitchen. I dont think the kitchen staff doesnt know how pho supposed to taste like. No Thai basil, and the they give you lemon slice. How on earth are you supposed to squeeze a Lennon slice? also, the service was very very slow. Wrong counter setup as you have top walk all the easy to the back to get staff.
Perfect fried rice, amazing quantity, very delicious and perfectly priced, quick service :)
Too small of portion for the price. The pork chop was supposed to be two pork chops seemed like one cut in half.
COME! check out the smallest pork chop @ New Saigon Lloydminster. 2 piece pork chop - 3 inches by 2 inches for the price of $13.50.
Best beef pho and chicken pad Thai in Lloydminster! Soup should come in a bigger bowl though; compared to the majority of other restaurants, which serve bigger portions of the same type of soup.
Awesome pho, cant wait to try more of the great menu! I went in at five on a Tuesday , there was only two others . The place was clean and the food came quick and the server was good.
